My review is based on my experience with the counselor Deana Gaston she is very professional and a great listener. She gives great advice I’m happy I got the opportunity to meet her she is great!

Dr. Alvarez and staff are amazing. This is our second visit here. Love it, will definitely recommend them. Not rushing us out either , they are very concerned and take time answering questions. Thank you

Garbage service they made make you wait forever?? Plus they will tell you the doctor left when youre there but they will still charge you, Dear customer dont go there the place a total scam.

Very satisfied with staff in the office from the moment I walk in everyone is very friendly and helpful. Benefit specialist Janet Bravo is the best, she helped me every step of the way during my pregnancy and after. She has great customer service and is very caring.

Ever since I’ve come here everyone is so welcoming and helpful. From calling and speaking to Janet who helped me through the entire process of setting up my appointments to then referring me to Dulce Vazquez the Benefit Specialist who’s gone above and beyond to help me with my medical insurance and what I can apply to. She replies fast and is very attentive. She has followed up with me on things I myself have forgotten but she’s always on top of it. Her whole personality makes you feel like you’ve known her for the longest she’s extremely friendly and kind. Thanks you Dulce for all you’ve done for my family and I, for the unconditional attention and for being so welcoming!

Maggie at the reception desk is heaven sent! She is so sweet, patient and thorough! I had an appointment scheduled at a specialist and kept having issues getting the referral sent over, I called the office to see if there was any way I could get that referral over ASAP since my appointment was this morning. Luckily a Maggie answered the phone! She listened to my problem and got on it quick! We got the referral in less than an hour. So thankful for her today! She went above and beyond to get this issue settled in a short amount of time.

If I could give a 0 start to this location I would, simply because the receptionists are very rude and unprofessional specially Sandra Urbina she was awfully rude to this lady trying to get information! Not even the basic good morning Ive been a patient for more than 10 years and Maggie is always the one that treats people kind! But tho other two need to learn how to have customer service!

I’ve been bringing my son here since birth, I’ve had the opportunity to switch doctors and I came back bc of the great and genuine service. Dulce helped manage my case, she’s really attentive and makes sure you feel like you are being taken care of well. She walks you through every little step and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping people.

After being a patient in this clinic for a while I haven’t really taken the time to leave a review. However, there are absolutely no words to describe how grateful I am toward the whole medical team in this facility. Receptionist are always so welcoming, they greet me and check me in as soon as I walk in the door. The medical assistants are always so helpful and polite towards their patients. I 10/10 recommend Annica Shumny, whom has made me feel at ease after every appointment. She is beyond attentive, makes sure to always answer your questions and is great at following up with lab work and prescriptions. Absolutely happy with my overall experience with Access in Melrose Park.

Today, my wife and me visited the clinic for fist time to obtain program and services information. We were attended by Ms. Janet who takes the time and care to explain the details about program and services. All our question were very well clarified in a professional way. We completed our subscription in a smooth process. Thanks Janet for your professional and efficient work.

Made an appt that the psychiatrist told me “make sure you show up” only to find out they “left a voicemail” telling me THEY need to cancel the appt. I only have a voicemail from my grandmother in my VM box. Absolutely unprofessional. These people do NOT belong working with mental health patients. I’d rather go back to my abuser for psychiatric services than this place.

The staff are really nice. I got Dr. Viviana Rivera and she was really patient. Answered all my questions and concerns. She explained my treatment options and medication options very carefully. Honestly the best doctor Ive seen and didnt feel judged while listening to me.

I don’t know why people complain so much. What I know is this clinic is one of the best when it comes to children’s. They are really helpful and bilingual as well. It’s actually worth the wait, and as soon you are attended you are out of that place. And if your baby is really sick that not a place to make appointment that’s why there is something call ER. Other than that access makes you feel comfortable with its service as I know.

This is the most unprofessional clinic Ive ever been at in my life. I took my daughter there for a COVID exam. I get a message about an appointment that I did not schedule for her on Wednesday (4-21) and I called the clinic ASAP to figure what it was for. Ive mentioned to the receptionist and the physician that my daughter attends a daycare facility because I work. The receptionist did not give my any info and I asked to speak to someone ASAP about my daughters results. The physician, who is a pediatric physician has the most ignorant personality Ive heard. She drags the entire conversation then to say my child is positive for COVID. I ask her when did they receive the results and she stated the results were received on Monday (4/19) and they scheduled an appointment to tell me about a POSITIVE COVID test on Wednesday (4/21). 48 hours. Upon telling the physician how upsetting that was and very unprofessional she got snarky on the phone and was a completely terrible conversation to have. Ill never go here again because the lack of urgency and professionalism is very scary.EDIT: I took my daughter to get re-tested somewhere else and she came back Negative.

I absolutely love this Doctors office, the staff here are very attentive, informative and just all around great. Im going to miss bringing my daughter here since I moved. Also Blanca is an absolute sweetheart she really cares for the patients and is always ready to help.

Dr. Reinhard is the best pediatrician at the Access clinic. I trust her and I know she makes the best decisions regarding my children’s care. I love how she makes my concerns matter, I just love that she cares & that she loves what she does.

This is the most terrible clinic, the service is trash. They don’t care. I spend $1000 a month only to receive trash service. They make you wait an hour long to get service. The worst part is that I saw Dr Suzan Alvarez in June. I had told her about the concern that I had about my daughter not speaking. Instead of providing me with a referral to see a speech therapy, she only told me to put my daughter in the daycare.In July I called again requesting for a referral, she was rude , and told me that , she was going to send it by mail which I never received. I’m going to file a complaint so she can lose her license. A person who don’t care about children, should not be practicing at all.We pay for service, it’s not like it’s free. Today I went for my son’s physical, only yo make me for an hour for nothing. This is the most horrible clinic I have ever seen. Please do not bring your family for this trash place. They make you wait for teach service and the stuff are so rude and extremely unprofessional.

I went to this facility for years and had some doctors who were good and others who were bad and negligent (but no longer with Access). The last doctor I had is not even a full-fledged doctor--Annica Shumny(spelling?). She is outstanding, better than the best doctor I ever had. She changed my life. I moved out of the area, so I no longer see her. But I wish I could have brought her with.

Dr .Viviana Rivera is a really nice good doctor . I love having her for my doctor she listen to your problems and help with them . She checks my lab work every three months thats what I like you can see if something changed or going wrong that way. I recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who cares about them. I enjoy Viviana Rivera and Maritza are a great team .

I have been to this location for more then 11 years now since I was pregnant with my son never had any issues with staff or Dr always so polite and friendly on every visit always wanted to say this negative review are always by people and patients that dont comply or know how to follow directions

I drove 45 min to get there and when I got there and was 5-10 min late. So they said have a seat and Ill let you know if the doctor will still see you.. so I sat for a few min. And they said I had to reschedule... I was so mad.. I couldnt call and say Im running late 1. Because to try and get ahold of this place is a joke.. 2. Because Im driving.. my first time there was fine. Other than that...

This place is horrible. The staff dont answer the phones. The doctors call you about your results if they feel like it. You have to practically harass the office to get answers. Im 20 weeks pregnant and need an ultrasound and they sent me to the WRONG hospital and had the audacity to call me just as I arrived 15 minutes veggie my appointment to tell me its the wrong hospital and that they wont do my ultrasound. Im so glad I went into work late for this. They must have called ID because when I tried to call Melrose to figure out what to do next they wouldnt answer but when I decided to have my boyfriend called they actually answered. They are horrible. I Cant believe they would treat a first time pregnant woman with such little care.

Never had problems with staff they really care and take care of clients I’m so thankful they took great care of my wife while she was pregnant

Maggie has to be the most IGNORANT receptionist/health care worker I have ever came across. She initially took my first call today at 8 AM. My daughter had been throwing up and with a high fever all night. She told me she was unable to be seen because she has COVID-19 symptoms which I understood. I asked how diagnosis would work and she only said “She’ll take your word and diagnose her” with a mean attitude and I responded “Okay, just curious as to how that worked” and then with a slight attitude said “Well that’s how that works” Ok, sorry for asking! After my daughter got covid tested I was supposed to drop off a urine sample for her. I was told to collect the sample at home, drive over to the clinic and once I was outside to call and have someone grab it from me. Once I was outside, I called as they told me. Maggie answered the phone and said asked me who was in the car which was only me and my daughter. She proceed to tell me to LEAVE MY FOUR YEAR OLD UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE WHILE I COME INSIDE. WHAT KIND OF HEALTH CARE WORKER TELS YOU THAT??? this is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with her and not only myself but my mother as well.

This place is a nightmare. From them only staffing ONE OBGYN to not answering their phones. Dr.Gomez would show up hours late, give me contradictory information EVERY doctors appointment, make me feel stupid for reporting aches and pains I felt were serious - telling me each and every individual pain it could be a hernia, telling me one week Im gaining too much weight to tell me the next week my baby isnt growing. He lost my maternity leave papers, then did not fill out the START DATE, and after correcting that, I have to correct the fact that they only allowed me four weeks of maternity leave when we agreed on six - the standard amount of time. This doctor, and office itself made my pregnancy a nightmare, and has now made the first month postpartum an even worse ordeal. No matter how much of an emergency it is, or if its the only care provider in a five mile radius; it is absolutely worth it to find somewhere else.

It was my last time taking my baby to this office. On Friday my baby got very high fever, so I called pediatrician in this office Susana Alvarez to ask her what should I do. When they picked up the phone, I was told that doctor is with the patient and will call me back in 20 minutes, but no one did. After 1 hour I tried again and they said the same. But no one called me back again, then we went to ER. They don’t care about their patients at all!

Melrose Access always treats their patients with kindness, they try to make you an appointment that same day if you didn’t have one or make you one as soon as possible within days, Out of all of their facilities this is the best one for me! Doctors are very attentive as well as friendly making sure you leave happy and worried free & the receptionist are always willing to help you out and not to mention very polite to everyone

Absolutely unprofessional—please save yourself a headache and do not go here. Phone is never answered and when it is, the attitude from the staff is ridiculous. You have to call a month and a half in advance in order to make an appointment. Definitely not somewhere to go when you are feeling ill or in need of a doctor. Little sister walked in with a swollen face yesterday and the doctor sent her home with antibiotics, not knowing the cause of the swelling.

Miss Viviana Rivera. Is a very good doctor she listens very well to her patience. And cares about my diet and my weight and my overall health. Its hard to find good doctors like her. Im very happy with.her.

This place is garbage i waited long for a appointment and the day that i come they told me i needed to change this id num with my insurance and i was talking outside the appt i had 9:20 at 9:22 i went back inside saying that i changed it and they told me they cancel my appt and needed to make another what kind of place does that cancel when they want to

I used to have my variety of doctors there from 2015 thru 2019, and though they done a wonderful job to me throughout my time being there, the doctors there dont last long 😕. At least they should stay there for a long time instead of switching so many times.

Just made an appointment for my daughter, definitely excited to meet her new doctor but over all staff was soo helpful especially Dulce she was just wonderful and made me feel my child was in good hands.

These people hardly never answer the phone. If its an emergency I guess they dont care about their patients. They have so many people working on the front desk. I dont know why they dont answer the phone and staff is also kind of rude. Changing doctors because obviously these people dont care. Dont recommend this place at all and if I could I would give 0 stars.

I have sent many many college students who dont have a dime for healthcare there, Dulce has been so helpful in getting them enrolled in health insurance. I dont know what these students would do without Access. It is a medicaid clinic. They dont have any extra funds for surplus staffing at the front desk. They do however have great doctors. So if you have to wait to get your call answered it is worth it to me because much of the quality care for people who cant otherwise get health care is publicly funded. Access helps keep our school healthy.

I do not recommend this place at all. The receptionist is uninformed. They told me that the OBGYN I was scheduled for does not do the procedure I needed therefore I waited another hour for the other OBGYN. They then told me that the procedure is not done at all, so I left frustrated. Once I arrived to work they called me apologizing because they actually do the procedure. They make you wait over and hour and the receptionist don’t do their job right.

This is the Worst doctors office you can ever go to. I called made a appointment cause i have been in and out of the emergency room. I called to check the time of my appointment. They tell me i dont have a appointment for any day at all. And they can see me intell next month. They are Rude and unhelpful. And they dont care at all. How and why is this place still open i dont know.

First time I went there I went for a general check up and requested to get blood drawn. Dr saw me and said blood work wasnt needed since I was only 21 and not at risk. So she sees me I explain my Husband and I were trying to conceive and she mentioned they have free pregnancy tests. I called today to ask if they still offer those because I took a home pregnancy test (dollar tree) and the results were positive. Now I have to find a clinic near me that does and with no health insurance imynor quite sure how it will go. They should really take down thw sign that reads free pregnancy test btw.

I HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS CLINIC SINCE BEFORE I HAD MY SON HE IS 11 NOW AND WE STILL COME BACK BECAUSE OF THE FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE EXTRA HELP THEY ALWAYS GIVE. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS HELPFUL BLANCA IS ALWAYS SUCH A GREAT EMPLOYEE TO SPEAK WITH IF I HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS . MY EXPERIENCE IS ALWAYS NICE COMFORTABLE AND EFFICIENT. SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS ARENT HECTIC EITHER. I GIVRE 5 STARS I WILL ALWAYS PICK HERE FIRST.

The receptionist was absolutely horrible and rude. My mother went in for her first appointment and due to covid-19 she hasnt been able to book an appointment to renew her consular identification card. Since it was her first time at the clinic, she had no knowledge of their policies. The receptionist was dismissive and condescending.

This clinic has it well posted that they offer free pregnancy tests both on their web page and at their location. Yet they do not. Also, they respond the phone by saying Please hold and they never return to answer the person on hold.

It is a very wonderful place to be fully helped. All workers there are professional and treat families with priority. Dulce Vadquez has especially helped me a lot with my family members.

I cant see a doctor for a month and a half out., yet every time I walk in the place is empty! Changing offices and doctor as soon as I can

They are very unprofessional, receptionist ignore calls and have attitude when spoken to. Make you wait when unnecessary. I walked out the office and called several times well standing right outside the door and they never answered the phone. This place should be out of business or given a completely new staff. I do not recommended coming here. Terrible service.

Most useless staff ever. Rude and couldn’t get my son a appointment. Also there number doesn’t work on my t mobile phone lady blamed it on me.

I like it always get my appointment and my kids doctor Susana Alvarez always answer questions..I have left 2 time because i moved 30 to 40 min away but i have come back because i dont like the other doctor and clinics

Good experience, welcoming. Always have a appointment when I go in so only takes no longer than 10min. Phone Service needa a little work. Staff is great!

I had a bad experience the access community center book my appointment for this location and the Dr.Nadia Aliklan I was suppose to see does not work there I left work early to go to the clinic for nothing it was waste of my time and so now I contacting center again I have not returned my call this is not good center they do not help you and you do not see a Doctor

They help you in anyway when you need it! Theyre there for you when ever you need it! Especially the ladies that work there. They are such a nice help and makes you feel better whenever you feel down. :))

Never been in the office yet...but the phone rings and rings and rings...is anyone working?.. time to change my sons doctor...and he has never seen her.... sad!!!

I came here for my 3 pregnancies with Dr. Gomez and it was great.

I love this clinic, especially Dr. Susana Alvarez. I have been taking my children with her for years. She is an excellent human being. Whenever my children get sick, she takes care of them regardless of whether she doesnt have an appointment. She always finds a way. I am very grateful to her and I dont have how to pay her but God will take care of it, I wish there were more doctors like her who care about the health of their patients. Likewise, her assistant Maria Ocon is very friendly, they make a great team. God bless you always🙏

Thanks to the Access Melrose Park staff who are very attentive to one. The receptionists who are very friendly. Its worth the wait. Thanks to Dulce Vázquez who is the Benefits Specialist for taking her time to explain all the details. I do recommend it to anyone who likes good service.

Very good service, from the moment you arrive, the receptionists and the social worker were very friendly and answered all my questions in addition to helping me at all times. The medical service was fast, I didnt have to wait long and the facilities are very clean and organized. .

I thank the secretaries very much for their good expression and understanding towards the patients and for helping us with any questions when filling out the forms and the doctor who treated me gave excellent service even though she did not know the language that I speak, she resolved all my doubts and assisted me very well thank you!!!

EXCELLENT MEDICAL GROUP ESPECIALLY DR. RIVERA IS A VERY HUMAN WOMAN AND IS INTERESTED IN THE WELL-BEING OF HER PATIENTS. VERY SATISFIED AND HAPPY TO HAVE HER AS MY DOCTOR.
