UAMS Health - Urology Clinic

We had been at Arkansas Urology since 1996 we switch to UAMS and are so happy we did. Dr. Langford is a very thorough. Shelby and Ross at the front desk help so that we can get a CT done the same day.

I switched to Dr. Coussens at Arkansas Urology and am SO happy that I did!I had been a patient at UAMS Urology since 2016. Here are my complaints:In that 5-year period, I’ve been through 4+ different doctors because there is so much turnover.The bathrooms are terribly dirty. They once sent me into a bathroom with spilled blood for a urine culture. There is usually urine and debris all over the floor.I showed up in January for my last appointment (booked almost a year in advance). They seemed confused and stated that doctors are not in clinic on Wednesdays. Apparently, someone had put a note in my chart back in October to reschedule my appointment, but the scheduling office was never called. The earliest they could get me in for another appointment was May. I switched practices and was seen within a month.

If anyone needs a urologist don’t go to UAMS. That’s the worst place I ever been too. I liked the doctors. They seemed knowledgeable. They didn’t do what was supposed to be done during surgery, most of the nurses are rude, the nurses won’t answer any questions. They will tell you they don’t know. They won’t ask a doctor. They won’t fax medical records. You can not get an appointment for 2 months. I had a culture done here over a month ago for them. I called I know twice and I think 3 times for the results. No one called me back w the results. They kept saying they don’t have them. They finally called me today 😡 They changed my doctor and no one can tell me why. The doctor I got changed to was supposed to talk to my original doctor about some medication. He said they use it to treat cystitis but never have given it to someone w an augmentation. I never heard a thing about that. My appoint was over a month ago and I can’t get back in for 2.5 months.

A disgrace the so called nurse is a idiot. Could not or would not answer questions said I would have to speak with Morgan Storey never recieved call back after 3 weeks. Had kidney stone surgery in August now trying to pass smaller stones have blood in urine and have been in pain. Finally today meds. were called in. It seems the staff needs to be dealt with. If you want quality care stay away!

Appointment was at 10:15. had me wait in a room for more than an hour, finally walked out without seeing anyone. will not be going back.

My wife is a cancer patient in gynecological oncology. She has a stint in her ureter & is in need of surgery to remove her cancer. We have tried to reach Dr. Machado countless times with no luck. Dr. Burnett, her oncologist, has tried to reach Dr. Machado & his office but to know avail. My wife cannot work or even leave home because of her bladder issues. Our experience with uams has been great, other than her time with the urology clinic. We will definitely go a different route in the future. We highly recommend uams but recommend anyone with bladder issues go a different route

Had my procedure done here , I was set at ease by the professionalism from the front desk to recovery. The OR was state of the art !Dr.Langford was GOAT !!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UAMS UROLOGY !!!!

This place is horrible. My husband had two procedures done last year, one in January and one in June. Here we are almost 2 years later my husband is still in pain. Dr. Eltahawy is a freaking joke. He didnt want to fix a issue that he caused and told my husband and i he wasnt a urologist. SERIOUSLY?? then why the heck would you do two procedures for that specific location of the body if you arent a urologist? His nurses Moanie (or however you spell it) and Bennie are horrible. They could care less about you and are very very unorganized. Bennie is very rude and will let you know that the first time you see her. These were major surgeries that if we would have thought about more and knew that the Dr wouldnt be able to fix the issue we would have had a different UROLOGIST do it. I work in the medical field and would never in my life imagine treating someone like this!!

This place is NOT wheelchair friendly. Why not?

Terrible wont be back!! I have blood in my urine, they put me on an antibiotic and gave me a return appointment for 3 months. Its a JOKE

I called this number and the lady was so rude and said you need to talk to the nurse and hung up with out trying to help

Arkansas Urology has sent in 2 referrals for me. It has been almost 2 months and I still havent heard from UAMS. I call and all they say is my chart isnt in theiir system so they cant schedule me.
