Dr. Swan is amazing. She takes great care of her patients and she is very attentive. I am glad that she teaches other doctors. She may run behind on appointments but it’s because she is listening and taking time to address concerns that her patients may have. I am very thankful for her. Her team is awesome!!I have no more pain!!!

Dr. Swan is absolutely fantastic! She performed a surgery I desperately needed and was so thorough throughout the whole process. She has a great bedside manner and her staff is super friendly. I would give her one million stars if I could. Highly recommend!

Dr. Swan is absolutely amazing! First of all, she was one of the very first doctors to listen to me and believe me and my endometriosis symptoms. I was told several times that I didn’t have this disease and I started to believe it. I just dealt with the pain and canceled so many events. I couldn’t do it anymore so I decided to see Dr. Swan.She went over everything with me and suggested exploratory surgery. I was relieved! As much as I didn’t want to get surgery because it terrified me, I listened to my body and decided to go for it. It was the best and most reliable option to diagnose me. She made the whole process so easy and comfortable. Has amazing bed side manner. Surgery was a breeze and everyone was so kind. Turns out, I did have endometriosis that was causing my pain and she successfully removed it. So far I’m on my second cycle now and have felt no pain whatsoever. It feels surreal honestly. I healed quickly and my incisions look great. I’m just completely impressed and so happy that I’m healthy again and able to live my life.Thank you Dr. Swan!!

The worst care I have received. Swann does not listen to her patient. She hears only what she wants and does not fully treat you. She made up a reason for why I came to see her initially. Seems that whenever they consult with her I am discharged and told to come back in MONTHS. Nothing resolved now no treatment plan, but come back in MONTHS to follow up. Please leave me alone do not consult on anything for me. I will not be following up with you. I fear something more serious is being missed because of your strange recommendation or consult you are doing.

Dr. Swan was amazing! 1st off she squeezed me in after calling with an emergency. She got me in the very next day. Then they changed the date of my surgery when asking to. She moved it up 2 months to help me! She listened to me and made suggestions based off what I said. I had a few post op problems and they got me in 3 different times that week to figure out what was going on. I really enjoyed all the staff I met with and couldnt recommend a better Doctor!

Dr. Swan is such a blessing. It took me over 15 years to find someone who listened to me and my concerns with my health. Her care and expertise are endless. She changed my life! I can’t thank her enough.

I have written this review and deleted it a 100 times. Its hard/emotional for me to say why I think she might be the best doctor. She really is the best though. If you want a doctor to take the time to listen to you and actually hear what youre saying Dr. Swan is the lady you need! I am not an easy patient, I am emotional, and I ask a lot of questions. I think it would be easy to get frustrated with a patient like me. However Dr. Swan has always been kind and considerate.I had the same procedure done with another doctor and then again with Dr. Swan. The outcome was night and day. I had zero pain when Dr. Swan did the procedure and the recovery was so much better. I came to her with another issue I had post child birth. She told me she could do the surgery but she wasnt the right doctor for the job. THAT right there should tell you everything. She referred me to the best doctor for the job. I think that is just so cool.

*Update 6/9/24 - Im one year post hysterectomy with Dr.Swan. Ive had a total of 3 surgeries with Dr.Swan and after working with any surgeon that much (Ive worked with a dozen at this point), I 100% think shes a great surgeon and rad human. I think we both learned from each other throughout the entire process. Reflecting on my one year anniversary of being out of constant pelvic pain, and Dr.Swan is the one who got me there. Thank you again! 💜I want to make sure I adequately describe how significant it was for me to finally find a truly fantastic OBGYN. Dr.Swan is kind, straight forward, and obviously very good at what she does. She was trauma informed and fantastic at working with my wife and I. All of Dr.Swans staff we came into contact with were kind and incredibly helpful.I have had some dreadful experiences at OBGYN offices in the past, and was super nervous for the appointment, but this was a breath of fresh air. Will definitely recommend to all my LGBTQ friends as a safe and affirming space. Thanks for helping people feel seen!

Dr. Swan is extremely personable. She takes the time to walk through options, questions, and concerns. I was extremely impressed with her bedside manner and her ability as a surgeon. She performed my total hysterectomy, and I felt like I was in wonderful hands from first appointment through surgery. Shes really a gem.

Dr Swan is just the best at what she does. And shes super sweet on top of it. I had a really large uterine fibroid and needed to see a specialist and had seen Dr Swan years ago at a previous location. I tracked her down and she got me in far sooner than any of the other options out there. My hysterectomy went flawlessly and I healed very quickly. Had the surgery at Research Medical and everyone there was just great. I would highly recommend Dr Swan!

Love Dr. Swan. She’s always been extremely helpful and caring, has offered me mental health services as well and actually listened to me. When we though my insurance was going to run out, she was trying to help me find the best, long term plan for my birth control. I feel so safe with her and feel like I can actually open up and tell her things without feeling judged. Very good at communicating and helping with every issue or question you may have!!!

This was one of the best experiences Ive ever had with a surgery team. Dr. Swan is so sweet. I have been having issues since 2016. From the moment I met Ms. Swan in 2021I knew she was the one to perform my surgery. I had surgery 11/17/21 her staff is incredible. They were very informative and professional . Dr. Swan is AMAZING doctor and has provided nothing but excellent care to me over the years. I trust her and her team completely in helping navigate medical decisions regarding my diagnosis and I know its evident how much she cares for myself and her other patients.

Dr. Swan is very caring and has excellent bedside manners. She explained everything very well. I just had surgery done by her. She did such a wonderful job. I felt so much better right after the surgery. The incisions and stitches are perfectly done. You can barely see them. The surgery was perfect too. I can’t say enough good things about her. She thinks ahead and is very precise in plan and execution.

I work in surgery, so when I discovered I had to have surgery I went straight to 2 of the surgeons I work with for recommendations. Both right off the bat recommended Dr Swan and I completely understand why. Amazing surgeon and the best bedside manner I’ve ever encountered with still being straight up bluntly honest. Took my preferences into account and deviated from her preferred prescription for my diagnosis and I’m very happy with the care she’s provided and will continue to provide for me!

Doctor Swan was referred from my fertility doctor. I had uterine polyps which needed to be removed so we can have a baby. I had a consultation 2 weeks before my hysteroscopy “polyp removal procedure”. She explained the process very well and answered all my questions. I had the option to be under or awake for the procedure and I am so glad I chose to be awake because first of all there was barely any pain (she gave me great oral medication) and it took like 30 minutes only, second I only had a copay of $60 instead paying hospital fees which can add up easily to thousands, third my recovery is awesome! Had this done today 9 AM took a 5 hour nap after and now feel like nothing happened! Thank you doctor for your great job and your sweet personality! Best wishes!

I came to Dr. Swan through a recommendation of my fertility doctor. I had a complicated situation where an illness from when I was twelve had caused serious damage that was making it difficult for me to have children. Dr. Swan was direct, kind, and communicative, and in my experience it’s rare to find all of those in a surgeon. I was very worried about my pain management and anxiety from past negative surgical experiences, but I felt heard and supported by her and the staff she worked with. Recovery was simple and the surgery was very successful. I’d recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Swan was amazing from start to finish. She is very personable and truly cares about her patients. I had best experience I could possibly have, considering having surgery. Everything was thoroughly explained and the outcome was just what she said it would be. I would highly recommend Dr. Swan!

She is amazing!! I had previously been advised to have bilateral Fallopian tubes removed and go straight to IVF. As anyone can imagine I was devastated with that news. I heard of Dr. Swan by word of mouth. She was the only surgeon willing to try and save my tubes. She did save one tube and I am forever great full!! I had surgery at Overland Park Regional and the staff was amazing!!! I had the best experience possible when going in for surgery!!

Dr. Swan is a wonderful doctor who specializes in endometriosis. Her removal (excision) of the disease was thorough and aggressive and I felt heard and cared for through our entire process. She wants what’s best for her patients and works with them how she would want to be treated. She listened to my concerns and answered any questions I had. Her nurses are also fantastic and responsive. There’s no waiting days to get a call back - they’re quick and want to help you. I would highly recommend her if you need her speciality!

One of the best doctors I’ve been to! I’ve been struggling with fibroids my entire life but didn’t know until she diagnosed me. She knew exactly what was wrong and how to treat me. She preformed the surgery, took great care of me, and now I’m healing even better! I will not hesitate to go back if needed. 100% recommend!

My Fertility doctor sent me to Dr Kimberly Swan, I was very nervous to meet her but when I did she was just one of the sweetest person!!! very easy to talk to, a very happy and positive person. AMAZING!!!!! Dr.Swan made me feel comfortable both appointments i had scheduled with her. First appointment was a regular check up and to discuss the possibility of getting an IUD went perfect made sure to go over all methods of contraception and the one i was asking about to make sure i fully understood what I would be receiving as well as what else is out there to make sure i still wanted to go with this route of contraception. Placement of the IUD went FANTASTIC, she made sure i was comfortable the whole procedure! In the past i had a traumatic experience with an OB/GYN and it made me fearful of receiving that type of care, but Dr.Swan changed my view point! Will always recommend her to everyone i hear talk about going to a OB/GYN! Very sweet, kind and caring made sure the patient feel like they were in control of the situation!Wonderful person all around!

An hour past my appointment time I was still sitting in the exam room not having heard from anyone in over 40 minutes. When I left and talked to the nurse, nobody mentioned anything about how much longer she would take. Someone called me almost 15 minutes after I left the office to tell me she was then available. Terrible service, nonexistent care, and not worth the headache.

I highly recommend Dr. Swan! Especially if you have severe pelvic pain or endometriosis. I would almost pass out from pain in pelvic exams. Dr. Swan is very careful to trigger as little pain as possible.Dr. Swan is incredible! She is very good at what she does, was the only doctor that knew what the burn marks on my abdomen were from (heating pad) and concluded severe pain.She did my endometriosis excision surgery and I ended up seeing her 8 months later with severe pain, which other doctors (from a different hospital) and I thought was caused by ovarian cysts. I was concerned my endometriosis was coming back.I was ready for a hysterectomy- the pain was daily severe to the point that I wished I would die.Dr. Swan talked me out of a hysterectomy, and suggested that there might be a neurological component. I did physical therapy and got on cymbalta and I got my life back!I am so thankful for Dr. Swan!!

Dr. Swan is not only a brillant physician and surgeon, but also a wonderful human being. She made me feel heard as she listened carefully to my concerns and thoughtfully answered my questions. I could not have asked for a better doctor or a better experience!

I am extremely grateful to be under Dr. Swan’s care! She is patient and knowledgeable. Her bedside manner is fantastic, and she is very kind. It’s refreshing to have a doctor who listens to my concerns, and wants to find a solution, rather than just throwing a prescription at me.

I highly recommend Dr. Swan. After being told by a previous doctor my case was too complicated for him, I searched high and low for her and will follow her anywhere she goes and recommend her to anyone experiencing pelvic pain. She is very thorough in examination and getting to the root of the problem. She excised my stage IV endometriosis via da vinci surgery over five years ago and it changed my life from being in pain on a daily basis to no pain whatsoever. She continues to treat me in coordination with a fertility doctor and I couldn’t be happier. She is compassionate and truly cares about her patients well being and gynecological health.

She was referred to me by the fertility specialist that she works with. I love her so much she was the only one that actually put the time in to help me when I was dealing with my endometriosis. Witch at the time I had no idea I had. I had my old dr tell me the pain was in my head and that I needed to stop going to the ER for pain. Dr Swan was a miracle and a blessing in my life. She helped me with my pain and after my surgery I’m now pain free.

I had a laparoscopic partial hysterectomy on 3/3/2021. Dr Swan did a fabulous job. She prepared me with information I needed to know. I had no problems at all. I highly recommend her for any GUN procedures.

She is very patient and knowledgeable. She made sure that I do all the test and then she will be suggesting me the medicine.. Also her entire team is very caring. They make sure that if a patient have any concerns they will get it answer ( but in some of the hospitals I have seen that the receptionist will only tell us what to do which is totally wrong).

Dr. Kimberly Swan did my myomectomy surgery back in May of 2018. She was very thorough, and the hospital took great care of me during my overnight stay! Highly recommend KUs ob/gyn clinic!

Why cant I leave no stars? She almost killed me with the Da Vinci robot and then when I had my second surgery to SAVE MY LIFE she goes on vacation! Leaving me in the hospital to recover for weeks with only infectious disease to check on me I believe twice a day...And now years later Im having scar tissue due to trauma issues with my bladder from the surgical scar tissue. I have a wonderful urologist thats helping me but unfortunately this is a lifetime side effect of Kim. So thank you for my bad bladder! Oh and thanks to you, two years later, they gave me a hysterectomy because they couldnt risk my body going through anymore. Im 80% pain free! But my bladder is making my life hell right now. Thank you for almost killing me.

Bad experience. My appointment was over an hour late and I was told that they didnt see the problem I have been diagnosed with for years that I still have. I was also given medicine that is not helpful at all considering my medical history. I wont be back.

I agree with the majority of the five star reviews here. She is easily one of the kindest and proficient doctors Ive ever met, regardless of specialty, she is a true professional. She is an OBGYN subject major expert, and if you are in the Kansas City area.... there is no one better.

I had wonderful experience throughout my uterine fribroied removal. Dr. Swan is good at pain management and expert surgeon. I would strongly recommend her to any body.

Have left multiple messages for RX refill on both refill line and nurses voicemail. Finally hit the button for providers to talk to a human.Got the nurse, she says never received any messages. Funny thing, we discovered last week that refill line isnt live. I said better check nurses line tooShe then tells me I need an annual exam before more RX. Dr swan isnt doing annual exams any longer. Arrrrg!

Zero Bedside Manners. If I could leave negative stars, I would. She wrongly diagnosed me with PCOS, despite not fitting every criteria fully. I believe she didnt know what else to diagnose me with so PCOS just seemed easiest. From the very first visit, she deemed me as too healthy just because I ate a well balanced diet, exercised and was not overweight. After months of tests and waiting, (7 weeks from last test to final appointment), she didnt even give me 10 minutes before walking out of the room, and shutting the door in my face while I was asking her questions about her diagnosis (PCOS). About 5 years later, I have figured out I have Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, which often is misdiagnosed as PCOS. If she was a caring doctor and took just a moment of time for me, rather than writing me off from my first visit, I believe I wouldnt be dealing with my hormone issues today. Unfortunately Dr Swan didnt care and just wrote up a prescription to get onto her next patient.My suggestion? Look for another doctor.
