Dr Frank Okosun and his staff are excellent to me. they treat me like Im important. No matter how busy or how many people may be in their office. they take the time to address every single concern or issue that I have. they explain to me everything that I need to know about everything. they make recommendations in my best interest also, to what they feel is best for me.its very hard to put in words how good they are to me, if I could I would give them a 10 star rating and I would recommend them to anybody i see needing a doctor. I always tell everybody about them.

Dr. Okosun takes the time to really listen to you. Never rushes and I feel like he is thorough. I have also been pleased with his outsourced recommendations when the issue needs specialized care. His staff is the sweetest too! Always kind and have great attitudes.

My wife and I have both seen Dr. Okosun and we are very happy that we can go to him with our concerns. He is very generous and kind. He will answer whatever questions you ask him. You can go to him and his staff with arms open. Thank you!

He is probably my most favorite physician. He has excellent bedside manners and is super easy to talk to. He has gone above and beyond a Dr’s job helping me in the last 6 weeks as my new PCP, than any other doctor has in my 35 years on this earth. He asked me what made me choose him and he laughed when I said that was the reviews, which was true. It has been difficult being an adult and finding a great primary care physician. First off, trying to get ahold of the office was a task in its self, every time I would call it would go to an automated system saying party unavailable, my wife had to email them to get someone to call me back. Second, I asked for a prescription to be canceled and moved to another location that had the medication available and they never did it, I had to go into my appointment the following day to have them do it as they seemed to forget I asked about this task. Third, it was said that a certain medication was denied by my insurance company and when I called to check as to why, my insurance company said they never showed where a doctors office sent any pre approval and they never denied me of anything. I had to call the Doctors office again to ask why they said this when obviously my insurance company confirmed they never received anything from them and they couldn’t tell me why they denied it. As of right now I’m an unhappy patient.

Dr Okosun is AWESOME! I am not one to go to the Dr but I am getting up in age now and after my first visit he made it feel ok to go to the Doctor. Very thorough and understandable!

Quick & easy to get checked out. The doctor saw me and sent my prescription directly to my chosen pharmacist. Really appreciate the efficiency of time but also, the peaceful communication with Dr Okosum. Good primary care physician!

I think Dr. Okosun is one of the best around. He cares about his patients and demonstrates this by attentively listening, understanding needs, and remembering outside life events or circumstances. DR. OKOSUN IS THE BEST!!! When we moved to the Freeport/Lake Jackson area in 2016 one of our co-workers referred us to his office. He has a wonderful staff as well. Doc(as my husband calls him) is very nice && has a great sense of humor. He explains everything to you && makes sure that you understands. Now that weve moved away from the area we still havent found another Dr. When we need to we just get an appointment to video chat with Doc. If I really have to I would travel those 2 1/2 hours for a visit.

As always ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!!I was grossly misdiagnosed with covid by an out of town doctor (quack) and given medications that I did not need. Doctor Okosun immediately and correctly diagnosed my condition because he listened. Im 62 and he is the best physician I have ever had.His staff also deserves recognition. I heard raving reviews from patients that I cared for about Dr. Okosun, so I left my current PCP to see him, which Im thankful I did. Dr. Okosun is highly knowledgeable of current medical research and treatment options for a multitude of conditions. He prescribed a medication that proved life-saving for me and offered sound advice to help keep me healthy. When you combine those qualities with his personable, friendly character, then you have a wonderful doctor.

I was there for the first time just recently. The staff and doctor are nice people but when I asked for shots to get fast relief they said it would fall under my deductible and the other girl said they don’t bill those. My opinion is because he’d rather get my &100.00 cash versus them billing insurance, accepting the payment and have to write off the rest. I’ve worked in the medical field too long to know how this works. I think he’s being greedy. I won’t be going back!!

My pastor at the time recommended Dr. Frank Okosun at Brazos Primary Care when I was looking for a physician after the death of Dr. Bertheau, a kind and amazing doctor who took care of our family for many years. Ive been going to Dr. Okosun for several years now. He is kind, thorough, and very readily available when you are sick. He is one of the only physicians in the area who keeps late office hours certain days of the week for working folks who cant always get to a doctor before 5:00. Ive also used his online service for consults and reviewing of my medical history. Dr. Okosun always takes the time to ask questions and, more importantly, he listens to patient feedback, which I also greatly appreciate. During these tough times, its nice to have a great doctor who is close to home and phone call away. I highly recommend Dr. Okosun and the Brazos Primary Care office.

Due to a change in insurance, Dr. Okosun became our primary care physician in January. of this year. Getting in at or close to scheduled appointment time is better than most. My husband is on some medications that are too expensive because of having to meet our out of pocket deductible before they would be covered. Dr. O. helped us out with office samples while he & we looked at alternatives to what my husband is taking and/or to be able to afford them. 1 medication had to be replaced because our insurance did not cover it in any shape, form, or fashion. Dr.O steered us in the direction of co-pay coupons. We were able to use (?)co-pay coupons to cover the co-pay 100% on 1 Rx & about 90% on the other Rx. We have found Dr. O. & his staff to be helpful, friendly, and efficient - even over the phone. Staff members, on more than one occasion, have taken the time to answer questions & explain things to me - even if I had to call back for clarification. The office hours are longer than most which is a plus. While Dr. O. runs his practice differently than what we were accustomed to, its still a 5 star practice & he is a 5 star doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Okusons for a few years now. I will not never leave. He is extremely thorough and listens to you. I never feel rushed or that he is too busy for me. His staff is very friendly and always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend Dr. Okuson.

Dr. Okosun is friendly and knowledgeable, that beingsaid his front desk lead/receptionist is rude,aggressive, hostile and lacks empathy. God forbidyou ask her a question about anything and sheinstantly becomes defensive and angry. Is this theperson you’re really wanting to represent you or youroffice. How about hiring someone who will listen tothe patients and try and come up with a solution fortheir problems instead of the hateful venom thatcomes from her mouth. I have been a RN for 24 yrsand recently moved back to this area and waslooking for a new PCP and as nice as Dr Okuson is Irefuse to have to deal with the lack ofprofessionalism of his front desk lead every time Ineed something or have a question. Also youshouldnt have to struggle to get your routine medsfilled the way you and your insurance prefer. If yourinsurance prefers you fill your meds 90 days at a timefor a better cost and youve been on them for 20 yrs (we are talking blood pressure meds) write theprescription for 90 days with 3 refills instead ofsaying you will then only writing for 60 day supplywith no refills in order to force you to come in to theoffice every 60 days when your not even having aproblem thus forcing you to deal with the front deskhenchmen.

My experience with Dr. Okosun and his staff has always been a positive one. Im aware that some patients have expressed concerns about his staff, but that has not been my experience, nor the experience of anyone who was being treated while I was in his office. It doesnt even sound like the same staff!. He was referred to me by another respected physician and it has been a good fit. He has extended hours, and he does not just write you a prescription, just because you want one. He evaluates your history, as well as your current status, evaluates all of the meds you are taking as a whole and comes up with a workable plan that he discusses with you, to maintain your health, which may even include in reducing or removing some current meds, or adjusting to a more effective course of treatment, due to medicine interactions and a change in your health status. I would suggest that you allow Dr. Okosun the opportunity to meet and treat your medical needs. He has extensive training and will prove to be an asset to you and your health status over the long haul.As a side note, I also looked up the reviews submitted by Kara Bauer. She has submitted 10 reviews on various businesses, and they were ALL negative one star reviews...really?!….some people dont have a positive bone in their body...

Dr Okasan truly cares about his patients, and is very informative if you have questions. He is great about keeping an eye on things and making sure you have visits when needed.

Virtual visit had some issues on my end but Dr. Okusun made every effort to still call me and communicate with me for my visit and still allow me to ask the questions I had for him. He answered them and gave some great advice.

I would not go here at all. Don’t waste your time. I think I have pneumonia and do not have a primary doctor so I called to make sure this place took walk ins. It says on their website they are an urgent care but whenever I called they said they aren’t. The girl on the phone was rude whenever I showed up the girl in front said,”what’s your problem we are going to see you, so what’s the issue??” I said well I’m trying to figure out if this is an urgent care. Ten minutes later she said my insurance was out of network and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t because I have not been to one doctor who has not taken it. Lake Jackson medical facilities are all a joke especially the hospital. The people who work there are very low class and rude. I’m telling you do not waste your time here with horrible service and people who don’t know a thing about compassion for others!
