Planned Parenthood - Lafayette Health Center

I’ve been going here for a couple years now. I have bad anxiety with Dr. offices but the staff is so friendly here I never worry. Some days the wait is long and others I’m in and out so quickly. One woman in particular is so kind every time I show up for my appointments, and it just brightens my whole day. 10/10 experience every time.

Been a patient here for three years now and cant recommend it enough. Staff are incredibly kind and caring and go above and beyond taking care of their patients. Theyve helped me with insurance problems in the past when they didnt need to and even when you leave them due to graduation or what-have-you, theyre there for you to make sure youll be in good hands.Only annoyance Ive ever had with them was when I was first starting with them- as their public phone number has a long wait time to weed-out angry protesters. Stick with it and eventually theyll give you their office number where theyll answer asap. Im leaving WL due to graduating but this place will certainly have a special place in my heart.

Came here for a second opinion as I didn’t agree with the first. Turns out I was right and the NP helped remove and reinsert a new IUD. The NP was extremely nice and gentle, she also explained everything as she was doing it. I felt reassured the whole appointment and my nerves were put to ease. The wait time was a little long, but I was completely okay with that as I knew I got quality care and they seemed busier than normal for planned parenthood.

I love the message of planned parenthood. I just hate this location. Back in 2017 I got an implant in my arm. Original cost 1200. I should have paid nothing! My insurance covers this. I was on my parents at the time. I had been there before several times and my insurance was on file already. 2 years later, I finally get informed that I had a 1200 bill! I didnt even get informed by planned parenthood until I walked in 2 years later and got told I had an outstanding balance so I couldnt be seen. I was shocked. I asked them if they put it through my insurance, and they said that they didnt. I asked them why and the woman I talked to said she didnt know. I called my insurance company and they said nothing could be done because of how long it had been! The front staff has always been rude and not helpful. I would give this location 0 stars if I could.

This isn’t Lafayette location it’s the call center down to their supervisor. The RUDEST bunch I’ve ever dealt with. With Lafayette being short on a provider we drive to merrillville or Indianapolis now. When asking questions I was hung up on. Bullying is the worse way you can handle sensitive matters. Beyond disgusting. Also being billed for services that insurance covers. My insurance has asked them to separate the billing, because it’s billed twice on two separate occasions, but they still won’t. I used to brag on the Planned Parenthood, but it’s lost all positivity from me, & my teenagers.

Been here for over a hour & half & my friend still waitin to get back to the back. They dont care if you had to find a ride if someone waiting outside they have no cars here & are slow. Must be lazy dead workers in there.. get ur work together.

The front desk staff are ALWAYS rude, whether over the phone or in person. Act like its an inconvenience to help you. The older lady who put my IUD in though was very nice and helpful.

I didnt even make it to my appointment. I called for confirmation today and was rudely told that they couldnt confirm my appointment. I made this appointment for birth control 3 weeks in advance and was told it couldnt be confirmed. My time is precious, if my appointment cant be confirmed and I show up and am told that it needs to be moved ect...I would be devastated.I gave up. I support planned parenthood but not this planned parenthood. Ill just get a primary care physician to help me hopefully.

Dont go there if youre uninsured, they are trying to charge me $387 for my nexplanon removal. I looked online for the usual costs, and the pricing is from $0-$300, idk where they get the EXTRA $87 from, and why they treat me like I am such a burden. The only burden is my body reacting negatively to the bc, and having major issues with it.

Made an appointment and got in and out very quickly. Nurse practitioner was very nice and helped me answer some questions. Very clean and nice staff.

Great experience. Was able to get my nexaplon taken out an a IUD put in place within the same week. The person who did the procedure was very nice and kind. Staff is friendly and building clean.

This office was really clean all of the staff were polite and helpful in every way and wait time was not as bad as I thought it would be over all good people and environment

Friendly, caring staff. Generous discounts on prescriptions. Had the misfortune of being a patient while protesters gathered outside...the environment inside was safe and professional. Support your local Planned Parenthood!

They found my cancer and because of that, my two children were not left motherless and because it was found so quickly, I had another child after treatment. Thank you all so very much! You saved all our lives.

I will never go here again. I went in with an appointment and waited 2 HOURS and still hadnt even been seen by the doctor. They werent even very busy and the staff was sitting around talking and doing nothing. This location is a joke

Wait time was short, staff was friendly, place was clean! Don’t worry about the 1 star reviews they’re just from people who’ve never been here but aren’t happy about PP giving women comprehensive health care!

The wait alone is making me never come back to this specific planned parenthood. I’ve been sitting here an hour and two people have gone in and come out.

Every time I come here Im waiting over an hour even when Ive arrived before my appointment time,be prepared to sit 3 hours
