When I went in last year Dr Denson told me she didn’t “deal with people your age”. I was 52 and had been going to this clinic for 20 years. I wasn’t aware that women after 50 no longer need gynecologist. It isn’t true, a year later the office called me to schedule my annual exam. I will not be returning. I never thought I would have to deal with ageism from a professional. And especially a woman.

Pam Denson and her entire medical staff were absolutely incredible to me throughout my entire journey of pregnancy from conception to delivery and postpartum. We had a breech child and had a C-Section. Pam and her husband Nick performed the surgery together (which is really cool having not one but two surgeons in the OR and provided me with additional peace if mind). The incision is extremely well placed and so thin. Pam was incredibly kind and supportive in my birth plan and did everything she could to make it go the way I envisioned. I would highly recommend Teton Womans Health to any female. Especially those looking to concieve or currently pregnant.

Dr. Nick Denson was so kind, patient and thorough with education regarding treatment options for pelvic organ prolapse. I did extensive research and found his reviews to be the best, not to mention his extensive education and knowledge on the matter. I was so nervous to go as I had not been to a gynecologist for years following hysterectomy. He was very professional, took the time to talk to me and did not make me feel rushed. He provided several treatment options and encouraged me to do my own research to help me make an informed decision that I would be comfortable with. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for those who are going to the gynecologist for the first time. Terrible experience and I was left in tears. I would have thought since it was my first time and I was having to get some tests done that Dr. Pam Denson would have walked me through everything, but she did not seem invested nor did she put in any effort in making sure I felt comfortable and cared for. She immediately walked out of the room following my test leaving me and the nurse, and did not even say one word. She didnt even give me time to ask her about the medication I was being put on and didnt even explain how it works/what brand of medication she was prescribing me. I did not feel welcomed here at all and definitely not by Dr. Denson. Not to mention that she directed me to go get an ultrasound when turns out it was just a gland that she had mistaken for a lump.I know its different for everyone so this doctor might work for someone, but I would look at other places first before considering here. Not impressed at all:(

After following their advice for my first baby I ended up getting induced at 39 weeks and my body nor my baby was ready. Going off of the Bishop score I was at high risk for c section/medical intervention if I was induced (I had no idea at the time and trusted the Dr to make the best decision). Low and behold we needed medical intervention (vacuum 2×) and now my son has calcification on his skull from it.For my second I decided I wanted to go natural and avoid induction as much as possible. The doctor used a lot of scare tactics and pressured me into getting induced at 41 weeks. He even said he has only had 4 women go over 41 weeks and they all ended up in complications. Luckily, the morning of my induction, I already started going into labor by myself. I went into the hospital at my appointed time and before even checking to see if I was dilated or anything they wanted to insert cytotec! WOMEN... DO YOUR RESEARCH. THIS IS NOT FDA APPROVED AND IS ACTUALLY A METHOD USED FOR ABORTION! I refused cytotec because of everything I read on it so then they wanted to try the balloon. I reluctantly agreed but asked to be checked first. Dr Pam visually checked and said it didnt look like I was dialated so she inserted the balloon. Upon inserting it and tugging at it, to provide the pressure, it came right out. I WAS 4CM DIALATED. She broke my water which I agreed to and my labor was very smooth and quick. When it came time to push (I was not medicated at all) doctor nick denson came in and had the nurses FORCE ME ON MY BACK. THEY GRABBED MY WRISTS AND ANKLES WHILE I WAS PUSHING, AND THEY FORCED ME ON MY BACK. The only reason for this was because how am I suppose to catch the baby. Pushing on your back is not the best was to get baby out!Long story short. I dont trust them to have your best interest in mind. Its all on a schedule and they treat every women the same. Im shocked at how I was treated, and I will only use a midwife from here on out.

I would not recommend Dr. Pam to any women that have had experience with SA.I went in to recieve a pap smear and I was very nervous because of my history of SA. I explained this to her and was met with no emotion and a feeling of rushing me into it and out the door. It was very upsetting for me to go through and painful. I was left in tears and there was absolutely no bedside manner or aftercare and the doctor immediately left the room without saying anything. The nurses were very nice and informed me that I was good to leave. I wanted to talk to Dr. Pam about testing but she rushed off before I even got the chance. I am now left to find another doctor to do testing and exams.I understand you are not a therapist, but any kindness or patience would have been appreciated in a womens health clinic. 1 in 6 women go through what I did. I am left horrified with what I went through here and my fears have gotten worse. It felt like it happened again.I would not reccomend Dr. Pam to any woman. Especially those of us who have suffered with SA.[EDIT: I have recently been diagnosed with vaginismus. Which I had during this procedure and it worsened after]

I was very apprehensive about having surgery until I actually had the surgery. From point A to point Z, Dr. Pamela Denson made me feel comfortable and cared for. She took the time to answer all my questions and concerns and even drew pictures so I could understand the procure better. Before surgery, she was there for me and visited with my family and a friend to make sure they knew how to take care of me after the surgery, all while comforting me at the same time. The surgery went great and I was almost 100% by day 4 post-op. I took very little pain meds because I didn’t feel I needed it and I have 3 tiny scars that have healed very well. I will recommend Dr. Denson 100% to anyone. She is a wonderful doctor, a huge blessing to me, and a great asset to our community.

I have debated writing a review for a while now, as my appointment was in Oct 2023 (an appointment I had waited over a month to get which was actually fine). I had this pre conceived notion that I would feel more comfortable with a female doctor, Dr. Pam, so I thought it’d be worth the wait (my situation wasn’t urgent). Seeing other reviews share my same experience is the reason I’m writing this one. I thought I was crazy or gaslighting myself this whole time until a coworker told me she had the same doctor and also expressed similar distaste. I wanted to see a doctor for almost constant yeast infections (I think, or maybe it was BV but the doctor couldn’t tell me). My whole point of the visit was just to get a check up to see if I, at the very least, looked normal and honestly just to be able to ask questions (newly married and had never experienced sexual relations prior to marriage). Of course there’s no money in just asking questions, which brings me to my point. Almost the entire appointment, she was trying to sell me on getting an IUD. I have known for a long time due to my previous experiences with birth control that, that wasn’t for me, so I said no. She proceeded throughout the appointment to answer my questions with IUD being the answer to my problems (while avoiding answering my direct questions regarding my case like “how do I know I have an infection?, what can cause it? What are some symptoms?, etc). I just didn’t feel right about it. So of course I got convinced to do a Pap smear and literally cried after and the entire way home having no idea what was going on and honestly feeling kind of violated :’). Well at least I don’t have cervical cancer so that’s off the list… but i was still having these weird infections?? And I know I’m at fault for part of this, because i used monostat a couple days before this appointment which means the test would be inaccurate for what type of infection I have. But I got no tips, advice, or anything that would at least help my symptoms or even real answers to my questions. I got an uncalled for, IUD lecture and a Pap smear that I honestly really didn’t want to do but I kind of got scared into doing. So what was the answer all along? Well I guess all I had to do was call my nurse (my amazing mother who is an RN) and tell her everything! She literally had a text book fromNursing school that answered ALL my questions. Don’t ask me why I didn’t call her in the first place, I was trying to be a big girl. I changed to latex free, hypoallergenic condoms, and haven’t had an issue since. Hormonal birth control was just not an option for me, it didn’t feel right and it’s messed me up in the past. I know you can have a great experience both at this clinic as well as with hormonal birth control, but it just wasn’t for me. I deeply regret not reading the reviews before going.*EDIT* I cannot express how kind the nurses are. SO NICE!! Probably the ONLY pleasant part of this… interesting experience.

I loved Dr Pam Denson. She is so kind, patient and knowledgeable. I had a miscarriage 3 years ago, and had a lot of anxiety going into my 2nd pregnancy. Her office was available to call and ask any questions to when they came up. Dr Pam would fit us in her schedule if we felt we needed to be seen, and she offered a lot of advice about what a baby would really need and what was a waste of money. When delivery came, she explained so much and calmed my anxiety and worries. Even having her show up at the hospital when I was induced, just knowing she was there helped too. She then came in the office on her day off, to check my incision after I had an emergency c section. I really wish I could be here to have Dr Pam as my doctor for future pregnancies. I met Dr Nick briefly in the hospital and he was very kind as well. I definitely recommend this office. I loved my visits, because the staff was so kind. I looked 6 months pregnant and obviously was not. She told me to go on a diet and he would call when he had time. I never received a call back. I have recently been diagnosed with Lupus nephritis. The bloating was excess water build up because my kidneys were shutting down. The pain was my kidneys. It was just a simple blood test but he couldnt even find the time to call me back. But of course the bill was sent out on time.

For some reason my first review was deleted. I had an awful experience here. I feel very passionate about sharing my story before anyone makes the decision to be seen by Pam Denson. My baby was diagnosed with IUGR at 32 weeks. The day she was born I voiced my concerns something was wrong with her but was having trouble with doctors believing me. At my 6 week check up I confided in Pam being that she was my doctor and responsible for my well-being. I told her I was not ok. I believed something was wrong with my baby and that I was anxious, worried, and needed help. She told me and I quote, “ nothing is wrong with your baby she looks very typical, there is a mother next door that actually has something wrong with her baby. You have PPD and are spiraling.” (I was also half naked when she told me this). One week later I would find myself at primary children’s hospital for a month. My baby has two rare genetic disorders, is blind, has chronic seizures, and has been life flighted on a few occasions because she is NOT typical. I was medically gaslight by Pam Denson and lead to believe I was the problem. I trusted Pam’s diagnosis of me having PPD and needing therapy. Because of this I have suffered emotionally. Her negligence greatly impacted my mental health and the timeliness it took for my baby to receive the care she needed. Please don’t go here.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Denson (I saw Nick). After learning from a previous pregnancy and loss that all future pregnancies would be considered high risk, I sought out an OB that I felt I could trust and would take my concerns seriously. At my initial visit, I got the impression Dr. Denson would give me the right information to make an educated decision about the kind of treatment I would receive but would ultimately respect whatever decision I made, and that was important to me. He was not dismissive like some other OBs I had visited with. Through pregnancy, he was my advocate when he needed to be, and both surgeries he performed during pregnancy went well. It is possible we would have had a different outcome had Dr. Denson not been as attentive as he was - I felt he was genuinely interested in helping us get our baby here safely. Dr. Pam Denson and the rest of the staff at Teton Womens Health Center are great as well.

I had to end up having a c section due to baby’s heart not handling the contractions well. As a new resident of Idaho, I had little knowledge regarding OBs in the area. Pamela Denson was recommended to me by several friends. I made a appointment to see Pam last year after having multiple postive pregnancy tests. As this was my first pregnancy I was very nervous. However, my visit with Pam went well. Pam answered all my questions and walked me through what to expect going forward. The nursing staff are beyond amazing! Truth be told, I miss seeing the nurses. They were so exited for me. Ultimately, I delivered my baby at Mountain View. Once I was admitted to the hospital the nursing staff called Pam right away and maintained great communication throughout my labor. Pam came to check on me in the hospital several times and she was great at coaching me through pushing. After my daughter was born Pam stayed for a while to make sure I was doing well as I had a fever. The next day Nick (William) Denson came to my recovery room to check on me. Pam came to my room the day of discharge. Again, she walked me though resources I could use as well as when my next appointment would be. At my 6 week check up there was a request by everyone in the office to see my daughter. I cannot stress enough how amazing Pam, Nick, and the nursing staff are. If I get pregnant again I would chose Pamela as my OB, with no hesitation. Thank you to the staff of Teton Women’s Health Center for making my first pregnancy experience beyond memorable.

Dr. Nick is awesome about giving you details, he is very professional but also personable and he has a way of explaining things in a way you will understand and his nurse Susie is by far the coolest nurse I have ever met. When my husband and I got pregnant, we knew we had a high-risk pregnancy that would require consistent and complicated medical management. We wanted a doctor who was skilled, experienced, personable, and that we trusted. At the recommendation of other skilled clinicians, we chose Dr. Pam Denson. She was amazing! Dr. Pam listened to my concerns, was not difficult to contact, thoroughly reviewed my medical history, stayed on top of my medical issues as they arose, and made clear plans (keeping my wants and needs as a part of the process) regarding delivery and care for both myself and my daughter. She was easy to work with, kind, extremely knowledgable, and my husband and I were so pleased to have found her. We moved states for the third trimester in order to be closer to medical care, and were not disappointed. Through working with Dr. Pam we met Dr. Nick Denson, who was also a wonderful clinician, as well as her nurse, Brandy, whom we loved! I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Pam Denson and the entire office! For starters, logistically the office is very convenient. The only doctors are OBs, so you see an OB every visit. They offer in office NST and basic ultrasound so if you need those they can be completed as part of your appointment (some doctors have to send patients to the hospital for this monitoring), and the lab they use for any additional testing is just a couple offices down in the same building . Also, unlike every other doctors office Ive ever worked with, when you call to talk to a nurse, you actually get a nurse, not a voicemail.Pam is very knowledge and proactive. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia in my second trimester with my first pregnancy. Pam saw me herself twice a week and with multiple tests watched my pregnancy very closely and consulted with a perinatologist as well. Pam also helped me understand exactly what symptoms to watch for at home between appointments and gave me guidelines to follow to give me my best chance of carrying longer. She was able to help me continue with my pregnancy safety for 10 more weeks and then delivered my baby early but safely when it became more dangerous to continue than to deliver. With my second pregnancy Pam did everything possible to help prevent preeclampsia and began monitoring me more rigorously again about halfway through the pregnancy. Fortunately my preeclampsia started much later, but when it did Pam caught it and delivered my baby the very day the labs showed we needed to, and I had another healthy baby. Finally, visiting the office came to feel like visiting friends. Pam and my nurses, Brandi and Leslee, took a personal interest in my family. They knew my son and husband by name and when my son was sick they asked how he was at each visit. They wanted to know how my son was doing with my pregnancy and the coming of a new baby. We talked about our families and kids, any big events in our weeks, what i thought we might name our new baby, etc. and they took the time to really get to know me. No question I had was dumb to them, and no concern too small. I would recommend this team to anyone!

My wife started to go to this place after receiving great reviews and recommendations from everyone. Well, my wife is very young and we are a recently married couple and apparently the staff here dont like that idea and have treated her and us with little respect. She wants to know whats going on with the baby and to understand why she gets shots and things, but they have laughed or judged her for trying to learn. It is very clear that people who are more well off and care about the style of diapers would be more comfortable here than those of us who are poor and just want a healthy baby. We were lucky to switch to Seasons Medical in rexburg, where we had a healthy delivery and baby is doing great. The last appointment here in Teton, my wife while in pain was sitting on the patient chair in the room, waiting for over 45 minutes while our nurse talked about baby butt rashes and creams for them for 30 minutes. When she came in, she didnt apologize for wasting our time, and even went as far as to pretend that she couldnt find the babys heart beat when listening to the stomach. She always tells my wife that unless youre in extreme pain there is nothing they can do to help. SHE WAS IN PAIN AND THEY IGNORED HER SERIOUSNESS! So disappointing and unprofessional. Dont come here if youre young, married and poor, because they will treat you as such.Just an update to the response below: You guys check the babys heartbeat every time we came into one of the patient rooms. I wish you didnt joke about the baby being dead, but thats exactly the fear that you guys made us have because of the above reasons i already gave. Nice try, though.

I dont know if I would recommend Dr. Pamela Denson if you have PCOS. I have gone to her for three annual appointments and this last one left me upset. I tried to talk to her about some symptoms I had been having lately that I thought might be related to a birth control I was using, but instead of really listening to me she just went into how I would probably not have these problems if I lost weight. I understand that weight is a factor in PCOS, but I know these symptoms are new and I have been the same weight for a few years. My symptoms also started when I started a new birth control pill. When I tried to talk more about birth control options, she just said, I dont know what to tell you. This was very unhelpful. In the end I didnt feel listened to and I didnt learn about any other birth control options. Our first visit went well, but the last two visits have been bad. She seemed very rushed and didnt want to answer my questions. She is very knowledgeable and knows her stuff when she does answer her questions. I just felt like she was one of the doctors that wont take any problems you have seriously if you have PCOS and are overweight. Everything will always be due to your weight and all your problems with PCOS would be solved if you just werent so lazy and lost some weight. I did like the nurses here, they were super friendly and nice to me at every visit.

Turns out there equipment was just really old and they could not see what was going on. I was told to come back in two weeks. In the mean time I found out I had a miscarriage and then had a dnc. The baby had stoppped developing at five weeks. I went to a different office to have the procedure done. A week after the procedure the Teton office called to rescheduale my appointment, because I cancelled due to the miscarriage. When I did so they asked no questions. When they called I had to tell them what happened, it brought everything back and put me back in tears. And last, but not least when I got the bill I was shocked. Dr Pam is great and worked with my unique medical situations. Only bad thing about this office is that it takes a long time to be seen by a doctor after you check in.

Dr Nick Denson i wouldnt recommend to anyone, doesnt inform you on anything I think out of my entire pregnancy we spoke maybe 15 minutes. Switched officers due to my rude experience i had with him at my 28 weeks appointment. He acts like you are more of a problem then a patient. Save yourself the trouble and go to Monarch Healthcare instead.
