AFC Urgent Care Havertown

I was seen promptly and the whole experience was positive. Very clean building and nice staff. Dr. Dang saw me promptly and a diagnosis was made, and an antibiotic was called in to the pharmacy immediately. From the time I left the house to the time I got home, it was a little over an hour, and that included waiting for my prescription to be filled. Thank goodness we have a place like this nearby. I had been really sick all week and my regular physician had left in July and my new patient appointment with my new physician was not for another 2 weeks.

Please dont waste your time and money on this place. I experienced a classic case of a male doctor minimizing my (a womans) symptoms and disbelieving me.I described my uncomfortable and familiar symptoms. His demeanor was oddly suspicious, as though I were trying to drug shop for....antibiotics? He asked questions that were inappropriately personal and had nothing to do with the infection that I was there seeking treatment for.Then he told me that my test was negative after a 5 minute dip test. (The standard for this infection is to send it out for a culture, which takes a couple of days. This was confirmed by my regular doctor when I called today.)He did not offer any explanation or diagnosis for the symptoms that I presented. His only suggestion to alleviate them was an over-the-counter remedy that he unhelpfully offered to write me a prescription for. Oh, and Drink cranberry juice.I wasted $50 on s copay to have my symptoms disregarded or disbelieved and not treated. It was a waste of time, money and frankly insulting, a kind of condescension that I havent experienced in years, but that I recognized.Fortunately, my regular doctor was able to fit me in on short notice.

5/5---wonderful, attentive staff. Hardly any wait time. I was even able to get an X-ray right there on-site. So appreciative of their kind service and care.

I drive out of my way to this location because the 3 times i’ve been here compared to other urgent care locations they have been absolutely amazing from beginning to end. dr cook was extremely understanding and helpful. also they offer water bottles in the waiting room which makes all the difference

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, our experience was great. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We were seen quickly and my son had some relief by the time we left. We would recommend this urgent care to others and if in the area again and needed medical attention, we would come back.

I think a lot of people the perception that urgent care is just like a building with a first aid kit 🩹and unqualified people who cant work at a hospital. Which is rarely the case. But AFC feels like I’m popping into the doctors office. Super professional folks, streamlined process. Short wait time.

I was very impressed with this AFC urgent care on Eagle road in Havertown. Everyone was extremely professional and Knowledgeable. No one was in a hurry and listened to my issue. I would recommend this urgent care.

This morning at 08:34 AM on Jul 24, 2024 I stopped by AFC urgent care to receive treatment for an upper respiratory infection.Shoshonna calls me back from the lobby. I greet her and thank her for taking me back. She ignores my greeting, doesnt introduce herself, begins taking my vitals and checks me into the waiting room. Not very nice but thats okay maybe she is just having a bad day. She leaves, I see the doctor, tell him my symptoms and then Shoshonna comes back. She comes in and tells me shes going to take a strep test. She takes the swab stick and holds it up to my face, no instruction and just glares at me. I take the hint and open my mouth wide to the best of my ability- i have a small mouth. While shes trying to get a sample from my throat she says hold your tongue down flat in a frustrated manner. She continues glaring at me and getting frustrated. She scoffs and says uhhhhmmmm can you like relax? Like take a deep breathe? She said this to me in such a condescending and rude manner. I was very surprised! All i was doing was trying to hold my tongue down and out of the way like she asked! I chose not to respond to her rudeness and let it play out but it left me not feeling nice!To top it off i was never told a diagnosis. I had to read my discharge to find out what they diagnosed me with. She also sent my medication to the wrong Pharmacy. She never asked me which one to send it to.Ive come to this location many times over the years and i have never been treated so poorly and callously. Start to finish Shoshonna was condescending, rude and indifferent.She acted like dealing with me was an inconvenience. I really dont see why! I paid for my services, i was kind and polite. I tried to be nothing but pleasant and follow direction. The doctor and front desk were very pleasant and nice. I appreciate them giving me her name and an email to leave feedback. Shoshonna had no bedside manners and left me feeling quite poorly about my experience at AFC Havertown. I had to get her name from the front desk.Sorry to leave negative feedback but this was just too much. Not a fun way to start my Wednesday.

We have come in for suspected strep twice and both times got seen quickly. The whole process from walk-in to picking up a prescription has been seamless and so much easier than trying to get squeezed in for an appointment with a primary dr. Highly recommend and thanks for making our visits so simple!

Easy entrance & Parking -NEW building & clean waiting room with friendly staff.Check- in via BAR CODE SCAN @,desk when you arrive. Not sure if it can be mostly filled out before you arrive. A little too much info is asked but ok. Takes a while. Front desk staff stayed pleasant even though it was busy-ish about 15 people waiting all polite & not demanding!! They let you know on your phone you number in line & estimated wait time. Loved this & it was accurate with time updates.Intake person in the procedure room was a lovely kind assistant (?)who did medical history intake then went & got the person to draw my blood for a Lyme Test ..this nurse or doctor was delightful as well!! PA S, medical & front desk staff were all sharp, pleasant & on point. Its a tough schedule some have working till at least 7pm on weekends but that did not stop them from running this practice well! I needed to get my bloods worked on over the weekend ( I developed a rash & my primary docs lab could not do that until monday) so I called & everyone here assured me they could get a lab to start the process over the weekend as they send bloods out daily. I dont know about the other patients -but a college kid next to me had to have a ton of shots & tests & he was taken care of seamlessly as I heard him tell his mother on the phone!Coffee machine despite it being a hinky Kurig one was clean & available.Only small downsides:1. NO SANITIZING gel in ANY of the wall dispensers ( they were very busy & place IS clean , bright & feels airy).2. a GROSS brown SLIME liquid clogging up the lower of the new looking water fountains.Deteriorating coffee?? I hope!.Would TOTALLY RECOMMEND.My visit was at 2:00PM on a not super Friday (acc to clinic) & took 90mins total for reference.

The staff here is very outgoing and friendly. The Physician Assistant was very knowledgeable. I was completely satisfied with my experience.

My knee started hurting before work but then got worse as the day progressed. I stopped in to see what was wrong, They took me right away and were very quick and professional. I was very relieved and happy with the outcome.

I usually do not write reviews for any establishment but when there is blatant negligence in a MEDICAL office , I do not feel anything but inclined to voice any disappointment.My spouse had just visited because of a 102.5 fever, and flu like symptoms (chills, cold and hot flashes, congestion, severe coughing, profuse sweating..)When being seen by the doctor, my partner was NOT offered to take a rapid COVID test. On top of that, they noticed FLUID in his ear. Though not an extreme amount, I’ve seen many ear infections as my family members are prone to them and having NO fluid is normal. So for there to be fluid noticed and not treated is absolutely insane.The doctor told my spouse that they will not be prescribing him antibiotics because there is a national push for them to be prescribed LESS since people are becoming resistant to them.My spouse hasn’t had to take an antibiotic in at least 3 years. He is not apart of the resistant group.He was also told he had to wait 7-10 days to get reevaluated.Pool party in my husbands right ear for the next 7-10 days, if y’all wanna pull up!!!I am extremely disappointed and disturbed at the blatant lack of care to obvious infections because of a quota.I will not be returning here again because I, like any other individual, like to be in good health.I’m actually pretty sad about this situation because I, or anyone I know, have experienced anything like this before at this office.

I was seen quickly. The PA who treated me was knowledgeable and kind. The med I needed wasn’t in stock but it was called in to my pharmacy. Highly recommend!

I got there at 830, had to wait awhile they were very busy but no big deal, the receptionist, nurse and doctor were all very nice, got my meds and left.

Just went for my daughter since we missed pediatrician hours and WOW this place was timely, efficient, and all the providers had the most excellent bedside manner. Ive unfortunately been to my fair share of hospitals and urgent cares... hands down best experience in a LONG time. We will be back! In and out with medicine and tests done in under an hour.

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. They have wrongly charged me and I had to call every day to get refunded, it is such a long wait every time even when you are the only person in the waiting room, and they are never able to find my insurance (which I have). Front desk ladies are rude and dismissive.

This was my first time going there and it was an excellent experience. Easy checkin and I was seen by a provider and received my prescription within 45 minutes of arrival.

I was seen super quickly and everyone at the office was extremely nice! Especially Nancy K., Kelsey S. NP., and Jonasia L. I was definitely feeling very poorly going in but the providers are excellent at what they do and did a great job of making me feel well taken care of and heard.

First time here, pleasantly greeted, check-in was smooth. All of the staff were cheerful and receptive. The doctor was professional yet relatable. I would definitely return and recommend this facility.

I walked in was greeted with a smile filled out my paper work, waited less than 5 min was seen and got evaluated, was given instructions and discharge papers and was gone in less than 20 minutes, everyone was amazing.

Always a pleasant experience under the circumstances. I was in yesterday with pain in my hip, they were so fast, efficient, and super nice. I wish I knew the name of the girl who was caring for me, she had blonde hair and was so sweet . Under no circumstances do I want to visit an urgent care again Anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely go here. They are amazing.!

I haven’t required urgent medical care very often but I have had to get others to an ER & know how challenging that can be, expensive & timely. AFC Urgent Care is the exact opposite. I had sliced the top of my thumb off preparing Sunday dinner, by the time we got to the Urgent care at Manoa Shpg Ctr it was 4:45, 15 minutes till closing. I checked in, within 30 seconds a man walks from the back & says we’re too late, they’re closing but directs us AFC Urgent Care around the corner. We hadn’t much hope that we could get in there because they also closed at five and by the time we would get there it was going to be 4:55. We walked in, stepped up to the desk and the gentleman behind the desk, Ryan, checked us in. He was very friendly and accommodating explained the whole process to us in a very transparent way. Within moments Dr. Jones came out & asked me to come to the back so she could access the injury, trying to figure out if I should go to the hospital or if she could treat me there. She made me comfortable right away, was efficient, professional & could have cared less that they were supposed to be closed 15 minutes earlier. They truly care that I got the medical attention I needed. I hadn’t a tetanus shot since I don’t know when so Cydnee painlessly got that shot in my arm. She had a lovely pleasant way of making you feel at ease. All toll I left $180 lighter, but how reasonable for care like that. So convenient, priced affordably & people in the medical field that truly care about our well being.I hope I don’t need emergency attention any time soon but I do, or anyone I know does, I will be going back to AFC Urgent Care6.6.24It’s been about a year since I’ve needed to visit afc urgent care again. The staff today was different than the last visit except for Ryan at the front desk, who is still friendly, helpful & efficient. After a bit of a wait, Nicole called me back, took my vitals while asking relevant questions before, Gaby Cook, PA, was in to see me. Gaby spent time asking questions & discussing my symptoms & advising treatment & care. Very thorough and at the same time making me comfortable. I have a PCP but prefer coming here because of their level of care, expertise & efficiency. Thank you again afc!

Great experience at AFC urgent care in Havertown. Check-in process on the phone is quick and efficient. They were slammed with patients this morning but everyone works together really well. It was busy but not frantic and wait times were reasonable. Gabby was super. I really appreciated the personal attention.

Do Not Go There! I went there for what turned out to be a very serious event requiring hospitalization for four days. They not only did not diagnose the condition, they told me to go home and come back in three days if it continued. Because my wife, my son, and two coworkers could see how impacted I was, I went directly to the hospital and was immediately admitted for four days.When I called after the visit, days later, an administrator replied that she was sorry. She refused to refund the copay of $50. With the copay they were paid amply for not doing their job. I was fortunate that I went to the hospital, although the delay could still be a problem. But for others, with anything that even remotely is of concern, do not go there. Go to the hospital where you should receive far more competent care. I had an immediate CAT Scan, MRI, and other tests that were necessary within 24 hours. The doctor at the urgent care smiled and had not a clue. And of course, he never got on the phone or apologized.

Last night I had an emergency with my daughter. We were met by the nicest guys who immediately did x-rays. The PA examined my daughter. She was thorough, and so pleasant. We received a diagnosis, and off we went. I would highly recommend their services.

Took my Son here for brush burn, early in the morning. The staff was very welcoming and nice. An the Doctor very attentive an nice as well. We were in an out, an my son was able to get to school by 9:15am. I recommend this office for any minor health care needs. Great client service!!:)

AFC is a fabulous urgent care center. Usually, the wait time is minimal, the employees are pleasant, and the physicians are thorough. The two times we had to visit there were pleasant experiences. Mt daughter is 11 years old. They treated her with respect, and dignity. This was important to us. I will definitely visit there again if the need arises

My fiancée and I had a fantastic experience at AFC Urgent Care in Haverford. From the moment we walked in we noticed the staff was warm, welcoming, and efficient.Even though it was a busy morning, we waited less than 10 minutes before being taken back by their team. Dr. Dang was super helpful and knowledgeable and ensured she was well-informed about what was happening before and after her x-ray.The X-ray technician was quick and precise and they got her the lab diagnostic very quickly. Well I love this place everyone is kind it’s sad for me to say I was on the phone with receptionist and she told me if I didn’t have the co-pay I wouldn’t be seen. I’m glad there was another location that will put my card on file and pull funds later.

Very pleasant experience, there were a few people in the waiting room, but still didn’t have to wait long at all.

I’m always treated so well here. The other day I was so sick, non-stop cough, etc.. The PA who cared for was Ruby. She was amazing, listened to all my concerns and genuinelly invested in me. She’s very kind and thorough. I wish I could make her my family doctor. The rest of the staff was also kind and helpful in quickly getting some tests done and an xray. I love that they have an xray, so convenient. The entire place was thoroughly clean from waiting area to exam rooms. I never felt rushed unlike at my primary dr. I feel like they care about me, and they worked together as a team to get tests and xrays done quickly. Again, kudos and accolades to Ruby Pottukalam.

From start to finish I was extremely impressed. Free ample parking. Friendly knowledgeable greeting. Clean waiting and restroom area. Professional, prompt, and top notch nurses and doctors. 10 out of 10 on every level.

From the front desk staff, to the medical assistant, to Dr. Dan whom I saw were awesome. And best of all no appointment necessary, just walk in! I did call ahead just to confirm x-ray was available because in reaching out to another location first it wasnt available on the weekend, so they were expecting me. I walked out in under an hour (not crowded definitely a plus) satisfied with reassurance after having the x-ray that my toe was not fractured but experiencing pain due to swelling from stubbing it on the coffee table.

Our family has visited AFC several times. The care is great! The staff are always helpful and friendly. They have also been very accommodating when weve visited with our young autistic son. Its a comfort to have this location available to us.

My Dr. had ordered me to go to Urgent Care and get an X-ray done. The one closest to me had no radiologist on duty at that time and recommend another facility to me. On my way there I saw AFC Urgent Care and stopped to see if they could help me. The staff was professional, polite, friendly and very helpful with all my needs. This is the first time I have visited emergency care and I was pleasantly surprised by my positive experience. The staff was friendly and the wait time was minimal. Dr. Jones was efficient, compassionate and asked all the right questions. In the future, if my primary physician is not available to see me, I would not hesitate to use this health care service again.

Approximately two weeks ago I fell and got an inch and a half cut on my eyebrow. My husband took me to the emergency room at Lankenau Hospital. After two and half hours it was evident that I wasnt going to be attended to soon, we left for Urgent Care. Immediately, I appreciated how organized, transparent, and attentive the process of checking in was. Once I met Dr. Earlie, I explained that if the wound I suffered was anywhere else on my body, I wouldnt be worried about a terrible scar, but the deep cut was on my face. He appreciated my concern and told me that he would do the very best he could to minimize the scar. He spent at least an hour carefully suturing my wound, and I can honestly say the scarring is minimal and my family, friends, and colleagues cannot get over how well it healed. I wish I could give more than 5 stars to Dr. Earlie.

Kelcie, the NP is amazing! The whole place is fast, knowledgeable, and convenient! Shockingly Ive been there 3 times in 3 months and theyve always been great!

Do not waste your money or time going there. I took my wife for a severe allergy rash on her skin, they prescribed medication and supposedly they sent it to the pharmacy. They never did, when we came back from the pharmacy they were closed. Had to take my wife to another urgent care and go thru the same process again. Ended up paying twice for a service that we had already payed at this dump. This is the second time something like this has happened to me and my family. Managnent does not care about the situation and does not reply to our communications. So much for the hipocratic oath, they do not have ethics.

Intake was friendly, and the doctor did solve my issue. My only complaint is, I asked the nurse was my blood pressure normal, and she said yes. When I left, my discharge form said my blood pressure was high, and I feel like there was no reason for her to lie. My discharge form also stated that the doctor went over the risks of the procedure with me and I verbally consented and acknowledged the risks, which I did not. Otherwise, everything was ok

Transparent employees about costs and procedures but very empathetic and willing to work with you. The Havertown office was especially prompt and PA Sadie was so sweet and informative. 10/10 recommend

My mom was involved in a multi vehicle car accident and I brought her in for evaluation. Front desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Ebony the MA was kind and sweet in assisting my mom. NP Emily was phenomenal. Luckily with her expertise she got my mom the care she needed and got her transfer safety to Lankenau for further evaluation. Thank for the amazing care.

Excellent care by Dr dang and his team. I needed laceration repaired and they were efficient and skilled. I appreciate that I was in and out and just 1 hour. Job well done.

AFC took me back within 15 min., and examined and xrayd my foot (which ended up being broken) so quickly. It was so much more streamlined than sitting in an emergency room for hours. I was in & out in an hour with a disc of my X-ray, crutches and a foot boot. I really appreciated the service.

Ive been using AFC about two years now. The service is always fast, reliable, and consistent. The staff seem to genuinely care about patients. No complaints.

I came in here due to a work related injury I filled out the paperwork and was taken back with 5 minutes of finishing. The staff was very nice and made me feel at ease and the physician was very good about trying to make sure I was comfortable. Overall a very pleasant experience. Definitely would not hesitate to come back if I needed to.

The fastest care experience Ive ever had. A lot of my anxiety with urgent cares are the extensive waits. Not this one. They eased my worries. I am very appreciative of their sense of urgency and assistance. Will visit again in the future!

Everyone that helped me at Urgent Care was professional, courteous, friendly and I felt very well taken care of. My health concerns and questions were addressed at my visit, and I was given a diagnosis with a script to be filled at my pharmacy to resolve my medical issues. I am thankful that AFC Urgent Care was able to help me quickly and efficiently when I was in need of their services since I did not want to wait for an appointment to see my primary care physician the following week.

AFC was the best! I will never go to another urgent care again! After 3 unsuccessful attempts to have my daughter seen at her pediatrician and 2 other urgent cares, AFC was the knight in shining armor. The place was immaculate. We were in and out in 30mins and everyone from check in, clinical support, provider and check out were beyond wonderful. I’m an RN and know what exceptional health care looks like. AFC provides exceptional care.

Everyone was friendly. the nurse was very knowledgeable of my issue . they took good care of me. very little wait time.

Upon arrival I was greeted immediately. I wait about 5 minutes before being called to the back by a very kind woman whom was very personable. The doctor entered right after my vitals were taken. He listened to my concerns and was able to quickly assist with my issue. I was offered additional testing then discharged. The complete experience was simple and easy on top of being very clean.

I walked in with an upper respiratory problem to find a pleasant reception area with programming for children and adults. Dr. Jones, an ER physician, said shes seen just about every illnesss. After the examination she called for a chest xray which I was glad to find out was on the premises. It was so quick and convenient. Before I even left the exam room my pharmacy texted me that they had already received her prescriptions.

I went here recently for a feeling of something in my eye. It was a Tuesday afternoon around 4. There were 2 other people in the waiting room besides myself. I was greeted right away by the receptionist who was friendly. I was given paperwork to fill out while I waited. The waiting area was very clean. As a nurse, I notice these things. I waited for maybe 20mins before being called back. The technician who took my vitals was nice and efficient. I waited in the room for a little bit before I was seen. Dr Dang came in, did what he had to and before I knew it, I was on my way home with a prescription already sent to my pharmacy. I was there just about 90mins or so. I would definitely go there again and recommend AFC for treatment.

We went to Vybe first because they were both open until 5 but sadly Vybe had their doors locked. We walked into AFC at 4:58 and were greeted by very nice staff who took my son right back for an X-ray. The doctor came in shortly after. We were done in about 30 min. When I thanked Dr. Jones she said our door is always open until 5. That meant a lot. It was super clean and big and all the staff was great with my son. We are grateful.

AFC Urgent Care is just wonderful. I have recommended it many times. The staff is so helpful and the doctors are great. It is good to know you can get great care here. I highly recommend.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to diagnose my granddaughter quickly and made her feel that they can help her get better.

I’ve come here a few times in a pinch (couldn’t get a doctor’s appointment/had to leave the ER waiting room after several hours of waiting and no assistance, etc) and it’s absolutely the cleanest, most helpful, professional and trustworthy urgent care that I’ve ever been to. Zero wait time, nurses are friendly and sympathetic, and doctors are patient, thorough and you can tell that they really care about each individual patient as well as their needs. I showed up the other night close to closing after leaving the ER after waiting for several hours and not even being triaged yet, and they accepted me right in despite the time, didn’t rush me out, and I even apologized because I was there after closing (last person out, even). I think this facility and it’s staff absolutely deserve 5 stars and more, thank you for all that you do!

I am glad that theres a place like AFC. Urgent care of Haverton I was able to have a X-ray of my energy, my toe. I had a evaluation right on the spot with out going to the energy. The staff was very professional .

The NP was very efficient, checking Manuel muscle strength, neurological & vestibular responses, along with abdomen & liver. I was given a more complete physical than at my PCP.

We have gone here several times in the past … always a positive experience …. Went today and we will never go back again. Receptionist don’t want to talk to you beyond telling to to scan the QR to log in (long painful process — waiting room filling up while everyone tries to complete the paperwork). Paid the co-pay in cash but they require a credit card for any additional charges ….such as?? I have a sinus infection what other charges are involved? Shrug — “it’s just our policy to take credit card information from every patient”. Well, I don’t have a credit card to use so maybe I can just pay cash on my way out??? (knowing there will be no other charges) …nope can’t do that.

I have always had a great experience at the AFC Urgent care in Havertown. Better than my primary care provider. They see you fast and provide excellent care!

On Sunday afternoon my daughter was complaining of ear pain. I knew she needed to be seen (ASAP). A friend recommended AFC in Havertown. I went over there, and explained what was happening. The Receptionist gave me a few forms to complete, and she copied our insurance card. Within 5 minutes, the physician called us back. He gave my daughter a thorough exam, and then formulated a diagnosis. He proceeded to send an electronic script to our pharmacy, gave us additional information on treatment, and thanked us for choosing AFC Urgent Care. The Receptionist gave us Discharge Papers, and we were on our way. The urgent care was close by, and the staff were polite, and professional. I am so happy to know they are close by. I would highly recommend them for anyone with a medical issue that needs immediate attention. Thankfully, its a few days later, and my daughter is feeling so much better. Thank you AFC Urgent Care!

Efficient, no nonsense, accurate care. Also, noteworthy was helpful guidance with intake paperwork and billing. Getting set up with the nurse before doc visited also especially efficient but thorough. Everyone there experienced and professional. Good enough for me to post a review.

Sunday 8/13 I went in & was told they have a new system( in attempt to go paperless) So they are now making you register thru a QR Code but if U dont have Ur phone Or its cut off you cant be seen. Did they think about that? I also seen that they had no Front desks reps for over 5min due to them also playing medical assistants taking patients in the back to rooms. There should always be someone up the front its unprofessional to not have & that place gets crowded especially on Sundays it seems So I suggest Mon-Sat and Sundays close & get a back up because computer systems fail & they get hacked. Also Patient Care Reps & Medical Assistants are two different titles okByeeeeee

I arrived at Urgent care 15 minutes before they closed with a case of poison ivy. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. The doctor gave me a steroid shot and called in a prescription for oral steroids for the next 10 days. I never felt rushed and I appreciated their care.

Ive been coming here for almost 3 years now. I am always seen in a reasonable time if not rather quickly. Staff is kind and helpful. Facilities are clean and nice.

Zero Stars. I had a good experience with this facility 3 years ago but my experience a couple weeks ago was negligient and caused my daughter harm and could have led to her being injured. We went to AFC Urgent Care in Havertown on Monday, September 18th (her pedetrician could not see her for a same day sick visit) First issue is we waited for an hour to be seen (that would have been annoying but not bad reveiw worthy) then when we went back and the doctor after hearing my daughters symptoms (fever, sore throat, headache and some neck pain) said with absolutely zero affect, Well you should have taken her to the ER and gotten a spinal tap she could have menigitis and die This was said before she even examined my daughter. My daughter and I were both sent into panic. Doc proceeds to examine my daughter and says neck pain which is on the side is a muscle spasm and she likely has strep throat. They do a culture. Doc comes back in the room and my daugher who is now in a full blown panic attack says Am I going to die and doc says Well you can always go to the ER and get a lumbar tap again with zero affect. Insane! She prescribes penicillin and says to begin taking it even though strep throat culture came back negative as they are going to send culture to lab (at my insistence) We start her on penicillin and we hear nothing back. Couple days later I call AFC Urgent care to find out if indeed she has strep throat and person who answer the phones gets results and says Yes, continue taling penicillin Now my daughter is not getting better by the weekend is experiencing a rash, nausea, cant eat and is exhausted. We got to her CHOP pedetrician and tell her the labs from urgent care (which we never got any copy of) said Strep. But my mothers insinct made me question and I asked if she could be tested for Mono. CHOP docs order blood work , we get it done and she has MONO. We go back to CHOP completely confused. CHOP doc explains that if you have MONO and take Penicillin it can actually make symptoms much worse. So thats annoying. But, here is where I get really disturbed. After being diagnosed for strep and taking antibiotics for a few days she returned to school and sports (sore throat and headache had subsized) . The one major concern with MONO is being hit in the spleen/liver so they dont allow any sports or exertion for 4 weeks. I called urgent care and asked 3 times for the results of her strep test before they finally emailed me them. The results showed that Strep A was negative which is what causes Strep Throat and the only reason you would put a child on antibiotic. I tried to sort this out with them over the phone because their misdiagnosis caused my daughter to be sicker and be in harms way. Instead of admitting their error they doubled down. I consulted my CHOP doc again who again read the results as negatvive for strep throat. Here is my question..if you are going to jump to bizarre conclusions that my daughter could have had menigitis and scare her to death...why not at least test for mono? This whole experience caused us tremendous anxiety not to mention personal harm to my daughter. I would think twice before going to this Urgent Care with docs with such horrible bed side manner and lack of basic medical care.

Even though they were short staffed everyone was pleasant and polite. The doctor explained everything to me very well and made sure I understood. Will recommend this place to anyone who asks.

Very quick service very competent. This is my second visit in many years. The first time was for covid and being checked out healthwise.This time I went for congestion and infection. I was given a thorough exam. And a Z pack seems to help.

I had a great experience here. I needed to see a doctor for a non-urgent problem. My GP had just retired and I couldnt get an appointment with a new doctor for at least a month. Id never been to an urgent care, so I didnt know what to expect. I walked in at 8:00AM (opening time), filled out new patient paperwork, saw the doctor, and was on my way with problem taken care of by 8:45. When I left there were 3 or 4 people in the waiting room, so it seems the earlier the better! Everyone was friendly and professional. Price was reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

Awful experience. Rude physician assistant and receptionist. They messed up my blood work and I had to go back to get blood drawn again.Reply to AFCs reply: they called me to try and fix the issue after I submitted my complaints, but the administrator I talked to did not seem to want to address the issue of mistreatment that I received, she was more focused on wanting me to go back to get my blood drawn.

Urgent care on eagle.rd Havertown, Pa.All the staff are awesome and respectful. The Dr. ,She was awesome and fast. I went for a splinter in my heal it was almost a half inch long when the Dr pulled it out. I had a great experience there, I will definitely go back if needed.

My first and only experience was for a covid booster shot. I made an appointment online, was happy to find one after 5p on a Friday. Although the bathroom didnt have soap in it and they seemed a little under staffed, my wait wasnt long and the front desk addressed the lack of soap when brought to their attention. Overall, I had a very good experience. The facility was easy to find, they honored my appointment in a timely manner, and there was ample parking.

The folks are always friendly. I was running late for my appointment, and it wasnt an issue, which I appreciated. They have resources and the support of a larger network for any additional services required.I continue to use the AFC Urgent Care services and will continue to do so. Great Service!!!!

I waited for more than 90 minutes to see a doctor who gave me a check up in 3 minutes and part of the check up was questions that I already answer to the nurse. I don’t blame him, it felt like he was the only doctor. Then I had to wait more time for my paper work. There were 4 members of staff, the doctor and one of the ladies in front desk were really kind and polite.

Its a clean, well-lit facility with competent staff that can address basic medical needs. I did have to wait a while just for a pcr test, which I thought would be a quick in and out. I did it at last minute without an appointment, so wasnt upset, just glad the patients before me didnt take too long.

Went here with a cyst on my back that I’m not able to get removed for another month and a half, just hoping to get it drained for some relief. Paid my copay and was sent home with only a prescription for meds. Got home and was very upset as to why he didn’t drain it like my PCP told me they would, so I called to ask for an answer. I was told that the Dr decided it would only give me temporary relief so he just gave me meds and never followed up with a conversation directly with me or to ask what my preference was. $50 copay for meds I probably could have bought for $10. Never again.

The staff and nurses were nice and friendly. No long wait time to be seen in the exam room.physician was knowledgeable and explained my symptoms and treatment plans. He was also available for any additional questions that came to mind.

I went here and my wife went another time. Both of us had the same experience. Great welcome as you enter. Waiting room is basically empty. Ah having a great feeling this will go quick. Get taken to the back with nurse so far so good. Then sit in the room for 45 minutes till the doctor came in!!! When I went there was 1 person ahead of me. When my wife went 2 people.They are very friendly and place is clean however they need to do something about the long wait time in the rooms.Positive: they do have TVs in the room while you wait.Overall I gave 2 stars because our time is valuable!!!!

The staff were great.I have to admit that they were very busy on Sunday. They were very attentive to my situation. The Dr. prescribed some meds. Today is Monday and I feel so much better. Thank you so much.

Clean, organized facility. Good parking. Easy check in. I was there at a good time so i hardly had to wait. Everyone was so nice and efficient. I was in the er the week before and i was seen in a hallway. What a difference this was. If i had known how great AFC would be i would have gone there first. I went again to get a second opinion bc my foot was getting worse. I feel blessed to have found AFC.

Was seen at AFC and it was the cleanest urgent care I have been to. I was greeted by the two girls at the front and they told me there was going to be a little bit of a wait. They continued to check on me throughout my wait and my visit. The medical assistant was very friendly and always had a smile on her face. The physician was very knowledgeable and treated me for my illness accurately. I will most definitely recommend this facility and I will be visiting again.

First time visiting this location! I went the day after Christmas (very busy day) and as a first time patient everything was super easy, the ladies at the front desk were so pleasant and sweet. The wait wasn’t long at all especially for the amount of people in there. The facility is extremely big and super clean. The girl taking my vitals was great! So personable. The doctor was exactly the same. I highly recommend.

I definitely like this location and decided to go there, instead of the Wynwood location, after reading the reviews. The staff are professional, the location is clean and the doctor did not rush my visit. I got there by 2:15 and was out by 4. A bit of a wait but it is urgent care and walk ins welcome so that’s to be expected. I would definitely recommend this location.

I took my son because because of his asthma flares up. The whole team were friendly and professional. The wait time was not long the team was very attentive to my sons need. The building was also very clean which is a plus.

Wish I could give a zero. Horrible experience with front office staff. On a previous visit they entered my insurance wrong which they admitted to. Then wouldnt give us flu shots without paying a balance on our account which the insurance should have covered. No manager on staff. They waited to tell me this after I spent 20 minutes filling out 6 forms. HUGE waste of time.

Went to urgent care in Memorial Day since my drs office was closed. The whole process was fast and easy. The staff was very kind and the dr was thorough. Strep results were given in a matter of minutes and my prescription was sent to my pharmacy immediately. Very impressed.

I feel a little conned. I regularly went for Covid tests and vaccines. The first times were efficient, but since then… the clinic’s priority really seems to be profit. Of course the company is for-profit but…Past few times, I had to wait a good long time, in a lobby with obviously sick people, then in the back for a doctor to stop by briefly, and then I didn’t even get a call with my results. Then I saw my insurance was charged basically double: for test plus doctor visit, even the time that I went twice in a week and explicitly told them I didn’t need or want another checkup. I just needed to get my nose swabbed and tested. Maybe the drive thru is better for tests since then they can’t do a doctor checkup there?

I don’t even know where to start. This place is AWESOME! The front desk staff, nurse, X-Ray Tech and doctor were extremely nice and friendly. I’ve been to a number of walk-in clinics and this one is by far the best. We literally only waited about 5 minutes before we were taken back. The doctor came in about 2 minutes later. They treated my son like they knew him forever which put him at ease. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for fast, friendly, top notch care.

Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. They were kind enough to suggest Id be better served in an ER , they were right but the ER had a 6 hour expected wait and urgent care was level 1 for meI accepted the advice of a professional and am satisfied they did their best.I would use the service again.

Ive been there a few times between myself, kids and grandkids, and each time was a positive experience. Dr.Dang is the absolute best! Staff is great, check-in easy and they now have coffee!

They didn’t care enough to do any type surgery that I needed and left me with capsule medication and it took about a half hour to be seen by a doctor, I don’t recommend if u need something that’s URGENT! It should be called Urgent Careless because they don’t seem like they really want to do there job and if they don’t feel like doing something they’ll tell you to go to the ER. So again if there is something real urgent just go to the ER I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Fast service. Spent more time spent filling out paperwork than waiting to be seen. Dr. Ortiz was wonderful. Very nice and listened to what I had say. Very prompt and thorough. Would recommend and go again. The only down side was not being able to get the prescribed medications at the center. Instead I had to go to my own pharmacy to pick it up. An extra step when Im already not feeling well.

I went in after having smashed my finger with a hammer. The wait time was minimal and the nurse and doctor on staff were professional and nice. The dr fixed me up and he made the procedure very comfortable. I am very grateful for my experience here.

Our Five-year-old had an ear infection, and we were in and out. I was worried because it was like 45 minutes Before closing time. However, they weren’t busy, and we got the medicine, and now she’s better. I would definitely go there again it’s way quicker than waiting in the ER.

Highly recommend this location. I have been here a couple times and the staff is very very nice. There is little wait time. When I had to have X-rays done the technician was informative and helpful. They put the imaging on a cd for me. I also had to receive a breathing treatment while there. The doctor took his time and was very thorough. He answered all of my questions and really helped me out!

AFC in Havertown was able to give me peace of mind. I just had a full ACL reconstruction surgery and I noticed bruising on my leg that did not seem right… Since AFC was open and my doctors were not, I was able to easily pop in for an appointment to make sure that I wasn’t having any post op issues including blood clots. I am very glad that AFC was at my disposal to help me find peace of mind between my follow up appointments. Way better option than going to the emergency room, and the physicians were empathetic towards my concerns. 10 out of 10 recommendation.

After feeling sick for over a week, I finally decided to go to AFC Urgent Care. The front desk staff was amazing and after finishing the paper work I was taken back in under 5 minutes.After my vitals were taken, Dr. Patel came in and was able to listen to my symptoms, diagnose and provide information on how to treat my lingering cough in less than 10 minutes. He was super helpful and I would highly recommend center this to any family/friend that needs a quick check up!! Great experience and staff!

Visited this urgent care Sunday morning around 8:30 and was greeted by the desk right away filled out some paperwork and was taken back into a room within 15 minutes or arriving. Was very clean and sanitized. I had to get stitches on my knee and the nurses and doctors were very professional and so personable. Made a bad situation a little better !

I was feeling terrible and I couldnt get on hold my primary. I went to AFC in Havertown as a walk-in. My experience was extremely positive.From the frontdesk to the nurse that got my vitals, the nurse that did a Covid test, to the Dr. Nishikanta who was very explanatory and he listened to me carefully showed that he really cares about his patients.Not even once I felt that I was one of the many.Keep the good workThank you

Quality of care have been great my past visits but its unfortunate how one employee can ruin an experience totally. I never had anything negative to say about this location until now. Who ever the medical assistant/tech is with the cornrows the week of July 19-21st is very rude and extremely unprofessional. When i went back with her to take vitals my exam room was not yet cleaned. She paused, Said hold on, and simply pulled a new paper on examination table. Athough questionable as proper disinfection practices werent implemented I sat to continue vitals. I asked for place to hang my bag because it was in my way to take my blood pressure. She rudely snapped back that shes trying to rush and suggested I hurry up. Exactly what was her rush? There wasnt any rush ensuring the room was properly cleaned. I was so shocked by her remark and attitude mainly because it was unnecessary. More frankly her rush should never be a patients problem. She then proceeded to improperly place my blood pressure cuff with my shirt sleeve caught in cuff. The blood pressure cuff was beginning to undo itself because of the poor placement and in a haste she ripped it off. The entire experience was mortifying because I work in Healthcare and her behavior was the total opposite of the characteristics any Healthcare employee should exhibit to a patient. Cold, agressive and rude. I was too tired and sick to further escalate the issue and complain. I just wanted to be treated and leave as soon as possible. However, i couldnt get over my encounter, and wanted to share this experience hopefully to help improve and prevent further incidents like this which was unexceptable.

We are visiting from out of state and chose this facility based on its proximity to our location and good reviews. I’m glad we did - this was honestly the best UC experience we’ve ever had. Quick, efficient, friendly. Already recommended it to our friends that live here!

They r all very professional, courteous, extremely helpful, and faster than the ER. Dr is always very thorough. Never going to the ER if I don’t have to visit that bc it’s at least a 12 hour ordeal. Not to mention Drs. Don’t ever seem to know what the problem is with any in my family.

I was very pleased with my recent visit at AFC Urgent Care in Havertown. I was immediately greeted by the front desk staff, and they made me feel welcome. The staff was efficient, and the doctor was helpful and knowledgeable! They took my insurance, and an overall great experience. I will definitely be back in the future!

My girls and I went there because of positive COVID tests. They sent us home to get the actual tests. Before we returned, the receptionist called to tell me that the doctor said they only give Remdesivir to people with health conditions. They never questioned what my health conditions were. She, basically, told me theres nothing they can do. I was never examined. I wonder if we were turned away because were people of color.I called the next to day complain, and was told someone would call me back. Never got a call.

This is the best urgent care Ive ever been to. Took my son there last week. Its a brand new building and a beautiful facility. The friendly professional staff registered us and had us back in the exam room 10 minutes later. Doctor was kind and caring and after a few questions and exam, he told us he thought it was strep throat. Sure enough, he ran a instant strep test and he was right. Doc prescribed medicine and my son is feeling better 1 day later. I would highly recommend this urgent care.

I mean it’s an urgent care so it’s never enjoyable being there but everyone was very friendly and professional. Felt very comfortable with everyone. The wait wasn’t bad either.

Urgent care was wonderful with my special needs son and was able to get us the Xray we needed much faster than any diagnostic center. They had us in/out within a half hour. I would recommend to anyone who needs services as soon as possible.

I highly recommend this urgent care. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. I came in with a sore throat I had for 4 days. Was diagnosed with tonsillitis and prescribed antibiotics. Also, the facility is very clean and everyone is pleasant.

Our experience was great. It was easy to set up an appointment online, do the telehealth, and make our covid testing appt. The nurse who administered the was so nice and sweet, she really eased the fears of my 7 year old child by getting down on her level and being gentle. I will definately use them again and would recommend them.

The visit was quick and hassle free (what urgent care is supposed to be - but often not). Everyone was very polite and helpful. The icing on the cake for me was that they called the following day to make sure I was okay and to see if I needed anything else. Ill definitely recommend this facility to others

I came in half an hour before closing after a day of feeling miserable, unable to keep any food down. They saw me very quickly, and upon examination urged me to go immediately to the ER as my appendix appeared to be inflamed. Fast forward to the next day, my appendix was out and I received a call from them asking after my health. They were very kind, professional, efficient, and transparent about their copays. I definitely recommend going here if you or your family are feeling unwell!

I myself had an amazing experience here I can’t say enough great things about the woman nurse practitioner I had who got my tonsils down last week for me she was amazing , god sent!But let’s talk about today, my son who has autism wasn’t feeling well and today started to complain about ear pain and also a sore throat so I rushed him over to be seen because I know the great service I got! The dr who was in today checked one ear & because my son who was crying because he was upset & in pain was fussing about the other ear being checked the doctor said “ eh no problem the other ear looked great” so he shrugged it off as if it was okay too. He semi checked his throat and his breathing. This doctor was not at all good with kids & had no experience with asd at all. My son deserved to be treated like all other kids & you didn’t even give him a chance! He went him crying and in pain , cried in the house for a hour and begged us to go to a dr, my child who is 5 with a speech disorder found enough words to tell us how he felt because a dr who saw him couldn’t give him the treatment deserved. I took him to DuPont where they diagnosed him with a very bad ear infection and he is on antibiotics. I will not bring my child back here until the doctors are trained on how to treat children with autism and other disabilities. My child was ignored and if I as his mother didn’t know what was wrong with him he would had never gotten the treatment he deserved! Do better for these kids please.

In recent months, AFC has quickly and successfully diagnosed and treated both of my teens for acute illnesses.

This facility was great!! I was greeted by someone who was warm and friendly. She was just a gem to work with. I came in for a throat culture for my daughter and we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Everyone was really great. And most important... the facility was CLEAN!! Highly recommend!!

Best Urgent Care Ive been to! The staff was so nice and helpful. The facility is really nice too. I didnt have to wait long at all to be taken. Definitely will go there again in the future, thank you!

Our doctor at AFC was very helpful. She was thorough at accessing are medical problems that we had. She was friendly and interested in the medications we were taking. She was very Professional. Thank you Dr Leech.

I was exposed to a family member who tested positive. I made a telehealth appointment with Urgent Care - Havertown and was seen the next afternoon. After speaking to the doctor, I was able get a PCR test 5 days after exposure. My experience couldn’t have been any more pleasant, considering the circumstances, by Urgent Care - Havertown. The doctors and staff were kind, patient, and extremely helpful. In a word…awesome.

The check-in process was great. The wait was not long. Dr. Dang was amazing, courteous and understanding!! The bad part was the nurse!!!! She was so rude and disrespectful!!!!

This particular location is my favorite and preferred place to go. Receptionists always kind, and the doctors and aids are compassionate and thorough. My last visit my doctors name was Tim and be helped me navigate the care for my recent accident. Cant recommend them enough!

It is a pleasure to have a great medical experience by qualified professionals that practice excellent customer care and work efficiently to assist you. You are never rushed, they hear your concerns and get up on your way as soon as you are ready to leave.

After about 6 hours of searching for a place to get a rapid COVID test I was able to schedule a Teledoc appointment (which was very beneficial, IMHO) and then schedule a test 1.5 hours later. I had my results within 30 minutes. Courteous and friendly staff the entire way through.

Horrible experience just trying to get a covid test they put you through the ringer, requiring all kinds of personal information on some 3rd party app they use,, SS, credit card, pictures of your id, takes quite a bit of time to fill out and then they tell you tests are not available --after submitting all that sensitive personal information. Their site does not give accurate information and is misleading about the availability of tests. Get you into the system, then let you know tests arent available that day. Worst part, and the real reason for the review? Had to call to inquire and reception was incredibly rude and dismissive over basic questions. I get it you are busy and overwhelmed, but the tone was just unacceptable right off the bat. When I told then the system is difficult and misleading, she screamed that they are 10 times easier than anyone else! I guess I hit a nerve. The demand for testing has put them over the edge. Had a previous test done there for my son and they never sent results. Had to call 3 times 5 days later to find out. I tried because they are closest, but never again. Go somewhere else for testing. Anywhere else. Not sure Id trust these people. They are clearly not able to handle it.

The care provider was patient, even in the midst of the line waiting for COVID-19 testing. She was particularly great with the children needing a test, explaining to smaller children in terms they could understand and quietly talking them through the swabbing process. Any time a smile is present (yes, you can see a smile above the mask!) on a health care worker in these times is to be applauded. THANK YOU!! :)

Horrible customer service. The receptionist are liers. I contacted this urgent care location over the phone before going their and i asked them “do you guys treat ingrown hairs?” And the receptionist said yes. So, tell me why i wasted my time driving there and when i was seen by the doctor who was a very nice lady btw the doctor said that i was misinformed and that they only treat “infected ingrown hairs, not regular ones.” I was very disappointment and i told the front desk receptionist the situation and that i was misinformed over the phone about my situation. I didn’t even get an apology from the receptionist and i told her i shouldn’t be billed because i wasn’t treated and that i called ahead of time to make sure you guys provided this service regardless if it was infected or not. If you guys only treat infected then you should have been more clear with me over the phone and said that to me; so, that way i wouldn’t have wasted my valuable time getting there. Do not go to this location because clearly the receptionist ppl her don’t know what they’re talking about and don’t provide good customer service!

Was greeted and helped quickly. Called back and seen quickly. NP was wonderful, as was the clinician. Place is clean. Everyone is so nice. The only Urgent Care in the area I will go to.

Weve had to come in for services a few times recently (injuries, flu, etc). Excellent service EVERY time. Very reliable, in and out quickly. Every staff member Ive interacted with has been professional, knowledgeable & courteous. Big step up from other urgent cares in the area.

I was very pleased with my visit. The doctor was prompt and communicative and answered questions and there was follow-up within a day or two of my visit regarding some tests done and treatment was initiated. All in all it was a very good experience and I would not hesitate to go there again.

AMAZING!!! The entire staff was so great, and Dr.Gavis is just the best!!! After a year of pain and seeing my orthopedic doctor, who treated me for bursitis since October 2019, They finally figured out that I had a broken tibia and was walking on it for almost a year. They were so sweet and thorough!I would say start with them before you waste your time at an ER with zero results and their diagnosiss! Thank you so much to the team there, you guys finally got me on the right track to living a painless life!!!!

It was quite seamless. I was greeted and checked in promptly, nurse took vitals and doctor came in shortly after and addressed my issue. She was very warm and nice and was clear with follow up instructions and care. Wonderful experience!

Went in for a pre employment physical. Fast service during the weekday. Friendly staff. Highly recommended for a quick service.

The doctor and the administrative assistants were most pleasant and helpful. The website, however, was not. I waited on the phone for 40 minutes for my interview, only to find out that the office had not received my ID information and was waiting for that in order to speak to me. The phone message did not alert me to that problem and repeatedly said, Thank you for your patience, We will be with you momentarily, etc., etc. until I finally called the office and discovered the problem. Surely, there is a way to correct this problem.

Go be safe and go get checked up! The staff were friendly and informative. I was able to go in ask questions get answers , get service and was in and out. No appointment, walked in and got help and service right away. What’s there to complain about ? Nothing for my personal experience.

Went to urgent care in Havertown for our 5th booster shots. Nurses at front desk were pleasant and took us right on time. The nurse that administered the booster did a great job.

The people are friendly and it’s fairly quick to be seen but I’ve been here twice for ear infections, once for myself and once for one of my children and both times they prescribed so low of a dose that my primary and my child’s primary were appalled. They prescribed doses so low that it wouldn’t even treat a baby, according to my child’s primary. If you do go for an ear infection either make sure you know what dose you should be getting or triple up on the amount they prescribe so you can hope for some relief until you can get to your primary. Hope this helps.

Front and back staff are great. They are very kind. You are in and out and the doctors bedside mantis great. The med assistant is amazing.

My experience at AFC was superb! The medical receptionist, medical assistant and nurse practitioner were all personable and professional! This is definitely my new go to urgent care.

I contacted the AFC Urgent Care in Havertown to get a covid test. They were immediately helpful, patient and interested in helping me navigate the few steps I needed to do, in order to get tested. When I went for my test, the professional who did my test was on time, friendly and patient. I got my results within 60 minutes. I salute this Urgent Care. They are first class.

Amazing staff and doctor was awesome too. A HUGE shout out to Sam the nurse , she was absolutely amazing with our 2 year old autistic son , he never attaches to people and he did with her she carried him out to the car and made him feel so comfortable all around .I will be coming back with both my kids and myself.Thanks for everything.
