PhysicianOne Urgent Care Hamden

I was able to make an appointment prior to my visit which was very helpful. I arrived early and was seen in a timely manner. The staff was helpful and accommodating. I was even moved because my room was extremely cold and given a warm Johnny coat. I had to wait for an x-ray technician which took a little while but understandable. In all, I was very pleased with the treatment I received at this facility and highly recommend it.

As always, check in was easy, receiving staff member remembered me from a recent visit there for my husband, which gave me the feeling of community. Roomy waiting room, very short wait, another sympathetic staff member taking my vitals, and then the doctor quickly diagnosing my situation. I left reassured, and thankful that I was in such good hands.

Came here twice in the last 5 weeks and everyone is always super friendly the PA is very knowledgeable and helpful. The wait time is a little ridiculously long but that is the case in all urgent cares. I’m just happy they have a positive friendly attitude despite the large volume of patients the see everyday.

I wish that I could make this clinic my Primary clinic. Finally, I felt & was HEARD! Each concern (1 for myself & 1 for my child), were addressed with an open mind, heart, and ears. After having had many ED visits & primary care visits for my toddler, I am now at ease! I feel confident in the attending physician, and other staff members, here: succinct, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Thank you all, so much, for having the best disposition while working at a medical facility! 🙏🏾

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the doctors and staff here. Our primary doctor is away for the holidays and they were absolutely amazing, pleasant, kind and extremely thorough today with both me and my mom who seem to have caught that nasty sinus upper respiratory virus thing that’s going around. Answered every question we had and were just so very nice. Would definitely recommend! ⭐️🤩

PRO: The care was good. And the staff was nice and attentive. CON: I had an appointment and waited 65 minutes to be taken to an exam room and another 10 to be seen. The facility is very understaffed. I learned this location regularly has 55-60 patients/day with just 2 Physician Assistants (PA). There was only one PA when I was there because the other had a family emergency. Yale has attempted to blend an ER with a primary care doctor’s office and it doesn’t work for the patient. You’re encouraged to make an appointment but it doesn’t make much a difference. The wait is still long. I’ll avoid going again.

Saw Andy And he was very caring and concerned. He was nice and even though I had no infection gave me some things to try to feel better. We definitely go back again if needed.

My experience was great. Front desk was warm and welcoming. Wait time wasn’t long once my son and I were brought into a room. We waited maybe less than five minutes to be seen by PA. She was very nice and friendly great bedside banner my son had to get x-rays, that was an hour long wait either everyone that we met through the visit was pleasant and welcoming from arriving to being discharged. We were probably in urgent care for maybe an hour. My son received great care answered. My questions and my concerns. Definitely recommend. Saved us a lot of time from going to emergency room due to his injury.

I made a 10:45a appointment, I decided to come at 9:00a when the clinic opened. I was seen within 15min. The staff, medical assistant, and Marthe the physician were very nice. I appreciated that Marthe really listened to me, did a thorough exam, and explained everything she did. I was confident in her diagnosis. It was a good experience and I would come again for treatment. It was much better than sitting in the emergency room for hours.

Pleasant and attentive. Very timely! I hadn’t been feeling well and my doctor was away. So they recommended urgent care. Thanks to Nicole, I have answers and treatment and now I will be better in time for the holidays!!!

This was my first experience at YNHHealth Physician’s One and it was beyond my expectations. Getting a last minute appointment was easy. The staff took their time with my concerns and everyone was very helpful. The care was second to none and, as an RN, I can recognize excellent care.I would recommend this facility for quality care without question.

Tried to schedule a virtual visit, and did, but they called me to say they don’t take my insurance for virtual (even though it’s the same system provider as my GP virtual visits) but would take it for in person, and connected me to the nearest location. Quick in and out, great customer service. Only 4 stars because it should have been clearer about not taking insurance for virtual from the beginning.

I had an appointment. I waited 2 hours to even be called into the room. Once I was called in I waited another 20 minutes. I was never told by the man at the front desk that it was an option to wait in car until I was walking out and I overheard another women say they would text her and she can sit in the car. The doctor came in and rushed through the entire process. She was in the room for no more than 5 minutes drilling me with questions. I couldn’t even answer the first one before she asked another one. This was my second bad experience but gave it another try. I will never go back there again.

I arrived at 1:20 for my appointment at 1:30. I had checked in on line except for a few items. My photo id pictures wouldn’t upload, so I handed the id to the person at the desk.I waited until after 2:30 while people who came in after me were called. I was released at about 3:00 with a prescription. The wait time felt way too long with no explanation or apology. I left grumpier than when I arrived.

Andrew Baginski was incredibly kind; efficient and professional. I wish he would become affiliated with a practice in Branford. Thank you again Andrew for exceptional care. Front desk was also personable.

We waited awhile but the waiting room was full. Everyone from the front desk to the provider Kim were patient, friendly and didnt make us feel rushed. We felt we were in good hands. I have a high bar for reviews and yours is one of the best I have ever given. Sharon Cohen

I arrived on Friday, 12-27 as a walk-in. Although there were only 2 or 3 people in the waiting room, I was told that they were all booked up and were not taking any walk-ins at this time. Maybe your web site should say that you accept walk-ins SOMETIMES.I then made an appointment for the next day, Saturday. I arrived a few minutes early for my 2:30 appointment and was not called in until 3:30, an hour later. I then waited another 15 minutes for the PA to arrive. During the 5 minutes I spent with the PA I felt rushed. The entire experience was not what I expected from a Yale run establishment. However, if the rxs that I was given take care of my problem I would change my rating from a 3 to a 4. Likewise, if not I would change my rating to 2.

Only one provider working. She was great; attentive and did not rush us through my son’s appointment. However, due to lack of providers, it was about 55 minutes after the scheduled appointment time that my son was seen. The waiting room was packed when we left.

I had a little bit of a wait, but that was to be expected. The staff were very courteous and pleasant. I received a good conclusion for my situation. I will definitely go back again.

Was there almost 3 hours, even after I had an appointment. Was given the wrong information twice about my position in line, their screen didn’t work. Told the medical assistant all my info IN room, was there because I was sick, then their doctor came in and didn’t know any of the information I had given the assistant. She thought I was there for something else. They tested me told me the test takes 20 minutes and walked back into the room 45 minutes later They never even sent my prescription to the pharmacy, after they asked which one I wanted. Shame on Yale.

I made an appt and was seen immediately. The aide updated my record and explained what test was needed and how long it would take. Audrey saw me, examed me and gave me the test results and how to care for myself. I was in and out in 35 mins. The facility was immaculate. Couldn’t ask for better.

Thanks to Andrew Baginski, I had a wonderful experience at this urgent care facility. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with a knee brace and an exercise routine that put me on a path toward healing. He also gave me a list of specialists to contact. I remain grateful!

Excellent and thorough PA! Took time to explain everything to my 13 year old. Very professional and caring everyone ! Intake person gave us water and snacks and was very nice. Thank you

I took my 94 year old mother for an X-ray after she fell in her home on Saturday afternoon. The EMTs that came to the house didn’t think there was a broken bone but suggested we get an X-ray. We arrived at this facility at 3:45 pm. Her right arm was very painful. This urgent “care” facility turned us away. They told me that the facility closed at 5pm and there was not enough time to treat her. What kind of place would do this to an elderly woman in pain? Certainly not a place that cares! An X-ray would have told us if she had a broken arm and needed further care. Instead she ended up in the hospital the next morning. Thanks for doing nothing to help us!

Hi, i was referred here from Divine street.The BEST referral we received.Not only were they Kind, Caring and Concerned, they were friendly and everyone had a Smile.It was clean and OMG 😲, the doctor was so so nice with mom. It was quite a wait to be seen but they did ask me if I wanted to do a tele-health visit but I declined and opted to wait to see the Dr. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall the visit was good but I may need to go back as it’s been three days of antibiotics and I’m still not feeling well 😞

I went in for a severe sciatic nerve pain. Let’s start with the receptionist Julianna, she was so helpful, and courteous! She helped me to arrange my appointment instead of staying and waiting for over an hour and a half. I came back at the allotted time checked in with her and was seen by Andy, P.A., who was wonderful and caring and so helpful in my time of distress and the rest of the staff were courteous and helpful and supportive!! I will definitely recommend Physicians One for Urgent Care! Thank you to the staff!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Doctor here is really nice and takes time to listen to your concerns. Staff are wonderful and helpful.

The APRN that I saw forgot to send scripts to the pharmacy. Prescribed unecessary meds i.e. ashthma pump. I dont have ashthma. I had to call to haver her send them.When I did call they kept referring me to a different person. They recorded the wrong age on my file. I confirmed the pharmacy I wanted to use and she still sent them to the wrong pharmacy. All at my 1st time visit there and feeling under the weather. Wont be visiting them again, rather go to the E.R.

Starting at the Reception Desk, my experience was pleasant. All the staff were welcoming, professional and helpful.I left knowing I had been cared for and a relief to my concerns had been accomplished. Thank you all for doing a job well done. I appreciate all of you.

The visit went very well. I got answers to my questions, and received the attention I needed. The post-visit care was not great. I got a message several days later about the results of my blood test, but no content or number. Calling the # leads to a maze of phone options that dont seem to go anywhere.

Front seat worker violated HIPPA by telling me unprovoked about other peoples illness and injury’s; made an appointment and walk ins were taken before me. Total time over 2 hours; Andrew is great but they need to get rid of the receptionist and prioritize people who actually schedule appointments.

Its good to have an appointment first when going there. I did a walk in on Thursday evening of 12-26-24. The wait time was one hour! The waiting room was full up . The doctor and staff takes good care of me .

Went with abdominal pain and was given a prescription laxative. Went to my gp the next day, had a cat scan, and was diagnosed with diverticulitis. The pa was very nice. but they should do a bit more testing.

Came in with a painful abscess. Got it drained and taken care of within 30 minutes of arriving. Dr. Neha R was very kind, professional, and swift with the procedure. Antibiotics was already at the pharmacy when I got home. Definitely recommend this place if you ever need them. 👍

The people who work here seem nice but everything took a long time even though it wasn’t busy and then they sent me an email addressed to None, as if they don’t have my first name. This may be newly affiliated with YNHH but it’s not like the other locations.

Staff is very friendly and professional. They all worked well as a Team to make sure my care plan was accurate. I was done in a timely fashion.

Text confirmations arrive quickly.Waiting time for being seen very manageable.Competent professional nurse technician.Dr/PA (Andrew Baginski) very cordial, asked questions, thorough exam of my conditions, prescribed medications and reviewed them with me on the print out before leaving.In April my out of state visiting 2 yr old grandson was seen for fever/cough etc by a very competent, knowledgable PA.I feel that Physicians One Urgent Care provides very, very good care for conditions that arise that need to be met quickly.

I found everyone very personable and accommodating.I will definitely return there when needed. Thank you to everyone I had the pleasure of meeting.

Do not recommend the one on Dixwell. Came 15 mins early for appt. 4 people in waiting room, hour later still not seen. Checked in for 1hr and 20mins, still waiting but need to do a Covid text. Does not even make sense making an appointment because they don’t prioritize by appointment.

Health service provider was good but not the front desk.I especially explained to the front desk personnel that it was my first visit to an urgent care and requested the payment information upfront. She checked and confirmed that no payment would be needed from me. However I ended up paying more than $200.The site manager has never returned my calls and voice message.

Had a good experience at PhysicianOne in Hamden. They’re a Yale New Haven facility and had all my info. From the front desk operators to the PA, I felt cared for and properly treated.

No one likes to deal with an Urgent Care visit, but if you find yourself in need of it, this would be the place to go. Staff was very friendly and supportive and I left there knowing that I made the right choice.

My appointment was for 8:30 wasnt seen until 9:10 but all in all it was okay if it was a lot of kids they were busy the people were polite the doctor was great that would go there again and I would recommend people to go there

Staff was pleasant. The clinic was very busy. My biggest complaint was timeliness. I had an appointment for 11:45 am. Didn’t get taken back until 12:30. I had a strep swab done and test results were suppose to be ready in 15 min. I didn’t see a provider or get my results for another 40 minutes. It didn’t seem to make a difference that I had scheduled ahead; they clearly overbook or do not take scheduled appointments as preference over walk-ins.

When I finally saw the provider after a two hour wait after my reservation, she was great. But the process was terrible. I arrived at 1:15 pm for my 1:45 pm appointment for a suspected sinus infection when I checked in, I was told they were behind schedule. I noticed the front desk was turning away walk-ins. At 2:30 pm- forty five minutes after my reservation , the person with the 2:15 pm was called before me!! Finally at 2:45 I was called but did not see the provider until 3:45!Something is wrong with your system.

I was seen promptly by two terrific PA’s, Neha Rana and Alexa, both very knowledgeable, caring, and very competent. My care was outstanding.

Went on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. It’s was the quickest, most efficient visit to any medical provider I have ever experienced . It literally took me longer to get my prescription at CVS that my appt took at Physician one .The staff was cheerful and knowledgeable .Nice to see a team who knows how to get the job done!

First things first urgent care doesn’t have everything that a real emergency room will have. I had a spasm in my neck and it took them a hour to see me if anyone knows about muscle spasms. They are very scary and can move. They had me waiting for an hour and then comes to find out they did not have an Injections to give me a muscle relaxer once the doctor came in the room he looked in my ear and my throat and sent me a prescription to a pharmacy where I had to wait another 45 minutes. Just bad timing if you have a real emergency, please go to the ER

I consistently have reliable and friendly service at this location. From the front desk to the providers, my family always feels well-cared-for. On our most recent visit, Brittney and Andy were particularly wonderful.

First time going to an urgent care. I DID NOT feel well at all, and needed to know what was going on.It was late in the day and they still took me quickly. My provider was very nice and very thorough. I had an easier time here than I would have at my PCP. I would definitely recommend.

I had a high fever, chills and a headache, so the provider prescribed a cough syrup. I didn’t have a cough! Terrible place they don’t care they’ll give you anything. I ended up going to the er for treatment.

The receptionist was professional. I was escorted to in a room and settled in by a lovely tech whose name I can’t recall. Neha, ? Spelling PA was also very kind, listened to my concerns and explained the plan and what to do if things did not resolve. I would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend this location as I have been here three times. Madison is an angel. The three Nurse says that triaged me were fantastic! I can’t say enough about Dr Neha Rana I was so lucky to not see her once but twice. She was so nice , so attentive, sweet smart and she made me feel like I was being listened to on a holiday weekend where they were all so very busy!!. I was seen quickly on a Sunday and with great care by a nurse and Physicians assistant. They ran tests quickly, counseled me and even provided tips for an upcoming flight. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

They were efficient, kind, thorough. I saw Neha Rana. She was terrific, PCA Juanita was good.

Michelle at the front desk has such a nurturing and welcoming vibe. She was extremely sweet and caring ❤. Physician Assistant Jessica took her time to listen to my every concern which were addressed with education and attention to detail. I feel great as she knew I would. Rapport was built really quickly with the medical assistant 😳 I forgot her name now. She was great at keeping me abreast of what was happening and was super gentle. I always take the drive there when sick. They did not disappoint. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kindness and patience.

Been here many times, most recent visit staff was incredibly helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and confident!

I found myself in dire need of urgent services due to upper respiratory issues. My MD is out of town so in comes PhysicianOne to save the day. I was able to make an appointment online so the wait was minimal. I was seen by PA Andrew who was patient, attentive and knowledgeable. He addressed my concerns, prescribed medication was sent to pharmacy and he reviewed education material. I am a nurse so I appreciated his attentive bedside manner which made me feel like I was in good hands. I would recommend PhysicianOne to anyone in need of urgent care. Front desk staff was friendly and there was an abundance of masks and hand sanitizer available for use. Great experience!

I had fluid removed from my elbow. Two APRNS worked on the procedure and took extreme care to insure that the procedure was done in the most sterile atmosphere. I was very impressed with their competence

The P.A. that took care of me was a game changer. Ill never go to the emergency rm again. He was over and beyond kind. If he had his own practice he would be my MD in a heart beat. Very professional, patient was explained my problems. I honestly can say enough praise about him. Physicians ever let him go it would be a major mistake.Thank you physiciansone !

Andy, the physician assistant was excellent. The nurse was very kind and compassionate, trying to remember her name, I believe it was Brittany. The reception attendants were also very kind and helpful. There was very little if any wait time. Highly recommend.

Woke up with terrible pain. Decided to go to urgent care and googled the closest one to my home. I found Physicanone Urgent Care in Attleboro to be very accommodating. Easy check in. Less than hour wait for a walk in. Dillon was very, courteous, professional and respectful for intake. Doctor was thorough and I received the level of care I had hoped for. Feeling much better today. I highly recommend if you need emergency care.

Quick in and out, very attentive provider. He listened to my complaints and made multiple evaluations to make his diagnosis.

Front desk was very pleasant and seemed to multi task professionally.The nurse was also pleasant and asked perfect questions.The X-ray tech handled my situation perfectly.The acting physician was prescribed me with an antibiotic even after I asked for an anti inflammatory. My dog bite . After I explained the dog was vaccinated. My knee is swollen badly and I needed help to go back to work. Waiting for my X-ray results the physician forgot about me waiting for 45 min and would have been longer if didn’t inquire.He was watching video games as I approached him where he asked my name again. Very unprofessional, I will not be back more will I recommend anyone to go there .Dennis Mathews

I went yesterday had a good experience I walked in wait wasnt bad 20min. Dr tested me said I had the A Flue. So today my wife is getting sick so I call to make appointment to see the doctor. The receptionist said no need to make one just come on down no one is here. We get there and they say 1hr wait. Mind you it only took 10 to 12 minutes for us to get there. So I said we will make appointment they gave us one for 5hrs latter. That was after the two were passing notes back in forth. My take is she didnt want to take the time to make the appointment so she lied about no one there. We are elderly and sick and we shouldnt be treated like that.

Best place to go in an emergency!! Very kind and quick service. No complaints whatsoever.

Physicians one urgent care did an amazing job? Staff and the PhD met all of my needs, everyone was every promo, kind and very respectful! I would definitely recommend others to visit physicians one!

Was really pleased with the service I received. Renee and Jenna were absolutely terrific. Both were very knowledgeable, reassuring, and compassionate, and explained things understandably. I had a bit of a wait but that was okay. Very happy with everything.

It was my first experience with an Urgent Care office and PhysicianOne was really great. The wait time wasnt too (I was expecting crazy) and the staff was very helpful. The Dr I saw determined I had a flu and got me on the meds needed to get a very troublesome cough under control. I will definitely be using them again in the future! Hunter

They were able to give me an immediate appointment to check me for Covid and/or strep throat. The front desk staff, the medical assistant, and the doctor were all kind and helpful. It was amazing to get my lab results back in just 20 minutes! They quickly connected with my insurance and had no problem providing me with advice about returning to work. Highly recommend!

It was my first time at this clinic, and I was impressed with the professionalism of all the staff. I was having ear pain for the last two months. The front desk staff was kind and cheerful. Marlon the medical tech was professional and upbeat, and made me feel at ease. He listened carefully to my symptoms and took detailed notes about my case. The doctor was prompt in conducting the exam and prescribing treatment. I am happy to say that I was able to walk out of the clinic feeling 1000% better than when I walked in. Great clinic with hospitable staff. A great experience from beginning to end!

I really appreciated the Pa & Lpn once I finally got to the back. The receptionist on the day I was there was no good not polite & very Bu’ghetto Bad for business I won’t go back there because of her.Ever ! Or my family that lives there! She tried to put me last. Like it was personal I had a 5:30 appointment I didn’t get seen for 1hr 45 after! She pushed people before me! Don’t know what her problem was I’m not from there. I won’t recommend this urgent care to an ant because of her!

Once I got in the room the assessment and care were great. It just took a long time in the waiting room and then a bit more once in the room. Especially since I wasn’t feeling well, it felt really long. Otherwise I left with a plan to feel better and that’s what matters most.

Check in was fast and easy, the wait was reasonable, and exam was comprehensive. I feel that my health issue was diagnosed and treated quickly and accurately.

This is the urgent care Ive been going to in the past 2 to 3 years. The staff is friendly and polite. The PA was helpful and engaging. Im glad I went yesterday instead of going home. I received the treatment I needed to feel better.This is my goto instead of the ED.Thanks and Keep up the good work guys.

After waiting 45 minutes from a scheduled time to be brought back to a room, I waited another hour and 15 mins for my to be seen, after being told strep swab would be back in 15mins, it came back positive for Strep, antibiotics were supposedly called in to the pharmacy and here we are hours later and it was never called in now my some has to wait another day to begin treatment so defeats the purpose of going there and wasting almost 3hrs of our day… Probably was better of going to the ER.

Made an appointment, but waited for 45 minutes anyways. Small waiting room, full of people, packed close, coughing and hacking. I came in for a covid test, and was afraid I was going to get other people sick.They then messed up my covid test and said theyd give me a call with the results... they never did. I had to call the next morning to request my results.The positives... well, the nurse I saw was very good and prescribed the right stuff.

Staff was extremely professional. Got in about in 15 mins ,was able to get chest X-ray there. I definitely would go back there . Got 4 prescriptions to help with my coughing,breathing feeling a lot better. Thanks to all of the staff for helping me when my doctor could not.

Went to Physicians One Urgent Care in Hamden, CT. They’ve since updated their check in system and no longer request your credit card prior to being seen (probably because they already have it on file) either way, it was not an issue this time. I’m pleased to see someone is listening. I was seen initially by who I assume was nurse as she didn’t introduce herself but had on blue scrubs. I didn’t care for her lack of communication while taking my vitals. She never shared my temp, my O2 levels, or my BP which was taken incorrectly x2. She only said it was high. I requested a bigger cuff she stated they didn’t have one and proceeded to take my BP on my right forearm😑twice. In any case, Andy, my provider was super nonchalant but informative and allowed me to stay on the call with my family member while reviewing my healthcare. I want to thank Andy for taking the time to review my chart and understanding my medical history and proactively prescribing my medication as it’s helped immensely. I only wish he’d taken a manual BP. Thanks for seeing me~ happy new year 2025

Didn’t have to wait too much, both the nurse and the doctor were very attentive, caring and nice to me. Left the place feeling cared for and had to call after to ask to change my prescription to another pharmacy which was done right away. 100% recommend

I was treated reasonably promptly (registration, interview, testing, PA diagnosis). That was all satisfactory. It would be greatly improved when they get attached to MyChart with Yale Healthcare, which I was told is to happen in August. I want my test results (and diagnosis) available to my regular physicians. I was put on a very strong antibiotic, which I wonder is necessary.

Pleasant, professional staff but seemed like a long wait.

This was truly the worst healthcare experience I have ever had. The pa came in and it very much appeared as thought she had an idea of what she wanted the diagnosis to be (one that was most convenient and easy for her) and nothing that I said would have made her rethink. She took no objective measures to rule out my other concerns or look into them at all. As a graduate student healthcare myself, I am very aware of how healthcare interactions are meant to go, and this was far from it. I am genuinely concerned that this individual is being trusted seeing patients who may come in with symptoms more serious than mine.

This was my first time at this urgent care office. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and informative. I was able to schedule an appointment within a couple of hours of being seen and I was in and out of the office rather quickly with my test results. I will continue to use this office and highly recommend it as well.

Jessica was the best! I’ve never had a doctor who was so fun and genuinely happy to be at work. She made the entire experience as pleasant as going to the doctor can be. The medical technician and receptionist were also super sweet but I didn’t grab their names. Overall, incredible group of people working here and I would highly recommend!

This visit was not a good one. We had an appointment and waited over an hour to be called back. There were a few people that came in after us and was seen before us. Once it was our turn the doctor was rushing through our visit.

After a computer glitch and waiting i was seen by a very knowledgeable PA. She was great!

I had a virtual visit recently and was helped by keribeth and can honestly say I am very grateful and appreciative of the quick service and the care placed on its patients. I think this urgent care is one of the better ones as I’ve had several experiences going to other urgent care offices where they don’t really do anything for you besides force you to come back for the same complaint due to telling you not to worry etc. this one is fast, patient focused, and a very clean facility as I have gone several other times in person.

Sorry it took so long for me to acknowledge the APRN from Physician One Urgent Care. If it wasnt for her, I dont know if Id be here today. She insisted I be at the emergency room in one hour because I refused an ambulance from their office. When I arrived at the emergency room I was diagnosed with peri cardial effusion. I had so much fluid around my heart and lungs my heart couldnt beat properly. Thanks to her Im here today. She also called the emergency room and told them Id be coming. I know her name but, I dont feel comfortable sharing it . My heartfelt thanks !! ❤️

I was greeted with the kindest receptionist I wish I got her name, but I didn’t. She was wonderful. She took all my information. She asked me to take a seat they’d be with me in a minute then I was greeted with My Nurse. Her name is.Jaylyn M.A she was absolutely wonderful with me patient and very kind. I asked her a few questions. She answered them in detail very wonderful young lady. She deserves a raise she put me in the room. She did my vitals. She listened to me patiently and was very kind she told me to wait and the doctor would be in he arrived within less than 30 seconds. His name is Andrew. Baginski, PA-C now keep in mind I was very anxious. I have lupus and fibromyalgia and I’ve had it for 30+ years for the last three weeks. I was suffering with inflammation of my feet, ankles and legs I was refused fluid pills, which is your Lasix by my regular physician, I had a few other issues I needed to discuss with him, he was the most pleasant informative wonderful man being a doctor that I’ve ever met in the longest time he patiently listened to me and then he explained every little detail to me. He was wonderful. I actually plan on going back when need be only if he’s on duty that’s how I felt , he explained everything to me. He was kind he looked me in the eye when he spoke to me which to me is huge. He was just a wonderful human being. They were. They were all very kind to me, but I truly only dealt with the receptionist, the nurse, my name already and Andrew he was a blessing. I left there feeling tremendous I will be back they should give him a raise as well. Thank you thank you to all of you. Thank you especially to you and you truly are special in my eyes.

I received prompt care initially from a friendly, knowledgeable nurse and PA. Had to wait for a technician for an X-ray but not terribly long. She was great too. I recommend and bring a book.

From the front desk clerk, to the CNA naked Jaylin, to the PA whose name I can’t recall, I received the most efficient, genuinely compassionate service I could ask for. It may be helpful for them to have more than one provider on staff but it still ran smoothly. My treatment was also thorough, riling out other common conditions. I felt heard and understood and I was prescribed what works best with my body. Thank you.

Made my appointment the night before which was very easy. Came in the next day sat for about 10 mins was bought in, Dr came in sent my son for a X-ray in the next room and results was back in 5 mins best place ever no long wait been coming here for a couple of years now for me and my boys and will continue. Staff was very friendly also and the Dr was very nice and down to earth and my son loved the lollipops and goldfish.

My visit to P1UC of Hamden was a breeze! The service there is incredible, the employees are nice & the facility is super clean. I needed to be seen to be cleared to return to work. As a walk-in /with no appointment. I receive fast/ courteous service. I didn’t have my debit card on hand to make my copay, so the receptionist at the front desk allowed me to write down my card numbers to complete my payment. I was so impressed the compassion from the medical assistant; he was kind and gentle with testing. He even offered me water as I waited for my results. The physician was very nice and very informative. You don’t always get that type of service at the doctors office on a Monday. I really appreciated that. I hold P1UC of Hamden to the highest of standards. You guys are all awesome. Thank you.

All staff were very helpful explaining processes and options, including the receptionist, the physician and the X-ray technician. Minimal wait time and clear follow-up instructions.

I went there with an in person appointment and still waited 30 mins just to be seen after my appointment hour. Also I went there 15 mins before just in case and it made it 40-45mins waiting when I was feeling already so sick. Then, they got the first measurements and covid test and I was told to wait for the doctor. While waiting nurse came back with a tablet and told me that doctor will be on virtual! Can you imagine?!!! I wasn’t told until that moment that it would be virtual! And , I was already tired, so I waited. Guess what, the virtual doctor connected exactly 27 minutes later! What is the point of going clinic especially when you are sick, if they will connect you to virtual doc? Even if I explained to virtual doctor that I have a serious infection with every symptom, he just gave a cough suppressant and I just got worse after! Sorry but, how worse this could have gone! I didn’t give 1 star just because of the kindness of the staff. But the rest is just a complete disappointment!

Glad it opens on Sunday. booking online reservation was easy. I needed only an x-ray on my left foot to be sure it’s not broken. good news, no broken bones; bad sprain. I appreciate the PN’s and nurse’s willingness to communicate with a deaf patient.

The first urgent care office i went to that really felt like a hospital, the young lady that took care of me (neha rana) was better then any ER doctor i’ve seen in the past. Looks like i found a new clinic to go to whenever i’m not feeling well.

Been here several times in the past. Yesterday I waited 3 1/2 hours to be seen. When I was finally seen, the whole process was terribly rushed. I was not thoroughly heard or even thoroughly examine. I know it’s a quick urgent center and I can’t expect a lot, but rushing through my examination was disheartening. No real concern or care. I won’t be back here.

We only have nice things to say and high praise for Physician One Urgent Care!! From the minute we walked through the door, I knew we made the right choice. We were both exposed to Covid and needed a test quickly. Never being there before the to fantastic ladies check us in very quickly, professionally. Being told we would have to pay for the tests, these ladies took the time to check, fill out all the paperwork so we didn’t need to pay. They were great!! The Physicians Assistant was great, professional and the medical assistant was kind, caring and professional as well. The whole experience was great. Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had to wait a bit but better than going to the ED (*thats inevitable for same day appts*) overall 3 appts out within 2 1/2 hours not too bad. Customer servive was great, NP was nice & knowledgeable, had my 3 kids seen, straight foward appts. Got doctors note for school, would recommend will be back if need be, Thank you :) for everything.

As someone who dreads going to the doctor, I assumed this would be yet another negative experience with a walk-in facility. I could not have been more wrong. The service at this location is wonderful.To the front desk to the techs.all knowledgeable. I called ahead and was given an appointment in 30 minutes. Wait was about 30 minutes from when I completed paperwork until I was seen.. Everyone was professional & respectful. Paul took my info & vitals. He also tested me for COVID, flu & RSV. Kate (PA) gave me results of test and did more diagnostic work, including an examination. She explained everything she did. She was awesome, kind & gentle.Together we came up with a plan of treatment. Prescriptions were sent to pharmacy quickly.The facility inside was clean. I feel confident about plan. I recommend this facility.

Easy to book online, got us right in and out. Needed a physical for my son to attend camp. Staff was overly friendly.

New to the area, and without a Pediatrician yet, we took our 4yo here and could not have asked for a better experience. From the desk staff, to the nurses, to the PA, everyone treated us well, especially our child, treating her with the gentle kindness and respect we always hope for. Everyone was efficient and kind, and we will gladly return if the need ever arises. Highly recommend.

Loved the front desk team member and the Medical assistant Crystal!! The physician was also kind, evaluated my back pain in a very easy going manner. He educated me about the knot he found in my back, in easy to understand language and what he would prescribe me! He was down to earth, friendly, funny and professional, and also involved my husband in how to treat me!

All around excellent. The physician was extremely thorough and carefully checked our medications before selecting an antiviral for my husband’s Covid and for my potential Covid so that there would be no drug interactions. All the staff were helpful and equally efficient and thorough. Recommend highly and would return without hesitation.

Had a great experience here yesterday. I got bitten by a feral cat at work so I needed a tetanus shot and antibiotics. I was able to book an appointment online the night before. When I arrived the receptionist was on the phone with a client but as soon as she was available (only a minute or two) she assisted me with check in and was very nice. I was early so sat down to wait, and a technician/nurse (I believe her name was Jaylyn - hope I spelled that right - she was very nice also) asked me if I would be interested in doing a virtual appointment to speed things up. I hadnt done it before but said sure why not and she walked me thru it. I did the online consult (had to wait a couple mins for the doctor to come online) then got my tetanus shot and a prescription for antibiotics sent over to my pharmacy. Everything was clean, everyone I interacted with was professional and kind - highly recommend!

Very good experience. Receptionists, aide and PA were very kind and attentive. My wait time was longer than than expected due to receptionist stating that they were short staffed due to staff calling out. This will not prevent me from using this walk in again because of the staff that was there. I was very satisfied with the care I received.

I had an unpleasant experience here this morning. I came in, explained my symptoms (high fever, chills, fatigue/aches) to the person at the front desk, and asked if they test for Lyme disease. The receptionist asked if I had a tick bite/rash and I said I didnt know. She told me she wanted to check with the physician if I can be seen because of the lack of a known tick bite/visible rash. Asked to wait a few minutes. 45 minutes pass and the receptionist seemed to forget about me and when reminded said she couldnt get in touch with the physician and asked that I wait again. She was apologetic but I just thought it was odd that the front desk person was making these calls. Left to go to another clinic, was seen promptly, and tested positive for Lyme disease. I was disappointed with my experience here as I pretty much chose this one based on the high Google reviews. I am not one to write negative reviews, but I would not recommend choosing this clinic as there are many other options in the New Haven area.

I went in Sunday morning because of a bout of vertigo that was lingering. The medical staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Juanita was very professional , kind and respectful in evaluating my symptoms and administering the necessary tests.Afterwards, Dr. Relihan took the time to discuss the test results with me and suggested several things that I could do to hasten my recovery.I would highly recommend this facility .

Staff can be a little more friendly. Receptionist wasn’t welcoming, no enthusiasm, no manners or respect for sick patients. My 7 year old had to get a x ray she wanted to walk by herself across the room with the tech before she left the room she was in good spirits when she came back she had a frown & was down I asked her what was wrong she said nothing when we got in the car she told me the x ray tech was mean / rude & was speaking to her in a harsh tone with a attitude. No grown woman should make a child feel comfortable especially a child receiving patient care . If patient care isn’t the job for you , please seek other employment. We rely on healthcare providers to make us feel better & we are trusting them with our care !! The PA & MA were amazing the rest of the staff were terrible

Went to PhysicianOne Urgent Care to get checked to see if I had a hernia as I suspected. They were Extremely Professional on every level!!! The check in was quick; time was minimal. And the training student was thoroughly interested in everything I had to say as well as my question answering of questions. The PA name was Kate and was she ever Helpful as well as knowledgeable about my situation, I feel like she went way above what I expected, but I really appreciated her honesty!!!!!!

I recently had a second excellent experience at PhysicianOne. The staff was friendly and professional. They saw me promptly (I had made an appointment) and resolved my health issue quickly. If something comes up in the future, this will be my urgent care center of choice.

After being in so much pain, I decided to pop a visit, which they had several available times to choose from. When I got there, check-in was easy, and staff was so friendly! They quickly found the issue with my health, and prescribed the right antibiotics to do so. Will definitely be back if I ever need to!

I came into the office with less than 30 minutes to closing time requesting to have my daughter examined. A normal office would have probably been annoyed for such a late walk-in visit but not PhysicianOne Urgent Care. The staff presented us with cheerful smiles and genuine concern for my daughters wellbeing (Especially Chyna & Kate). Very little wait time and we were offered goody bags which included traveling emergency kits. We honestly didn’t know what could be the issue with my daughter, but the staff was very persistent with questioning daily routine and explaining to us possibilities. Such a great experience and comfortable environment. I wish we could’ve chosen this medical office as our primary care physician. Highly recommended for all medical concerns.

My son was feeling ill on a Sunday. I booked an appointment online that morning and got a spot at around 11AM. The online registration process was pretty easy and looks like itll be easier in the future. Since that was our first visit, we had additional information to give.When we arrived, there was one patient in front of us in the line, but once that was finished, we were greeted very quickly and in a friendly caring manner. We were seen shortly after our scheduled appointment time, maybe 5 minutes of waiting. The nurse and PA that saw us were both friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They answered all our questions. Luckily, there wasnt anything of major concern for my son, but I am confident they would have helped us if there was.I will definitely go there again, if the circumstances require it.

I had to take my 8 year old son to get a head injury glued on Wednesday 9/20/23. From the front desk woman being completely compassionate and helpful, to the women who brought us back taking vitals making sure that she kept asking him if he felt ok since he hit his head, to Mr Ken who took care of him and who was gentle and explained everything he was going to do to him so not to make him scared, I would come back here 10/10 times with this crew of people! The 3 of them restored my faith in medical care that there are still people out there that actually care about the patient and their needs! Thank you to you 3!!!

Would of been a 5, but the exray tech.Wasnt there yet to take an exray.They are mobile.They should always have one there during business hours.I could of wait another hours there, but I had to get my scheduled bus.

Making an appointment on line was very easy. Upon arriving everything went smoothly. I love that they can do so much on site. Everyone was pleasant and professional. They would be my choice everytime for urgent care.

When I come here the staff is very friendly on the phone and the physicians. The last time I went(which was yesterday)the person I saw was nice but her energy wasnt like the other staff members that I had come in contact with. She didnt have that friendly vibe to me. She did say have a nice day twice which was cool. Maybe it was a off day. I dont know. I gave them 4 stars because of that. I do highly recommend this location. I have had good experiences here.

Front desk staff completely incompetent. They did not sign me in properly so several people were taken ahead of me, making my wait time much longer. I told them repeatedly the screen in the waiting area indicated I had not signed in. It wasn’t until I caused a scene that they made sure I was seen next. When someone has the flu, that’s the last thing they want to happen. Please hire more competent staff.

The service at Physician One Urgent Care is excellent, the building is clean, the staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite.

I had fantastic assistance both times Ive needed to come here. First was an eye emergency last year, everybody was kind and patient as well as incredibly helpful by finding and setting up necessary appointments for the issue further. My second visit yesterday was the same experience. I have been in excruciating pain the last few months and a simple but full examination was performed where we most likely determined the issue. Sam, the APRN who did my exam, was nothing but gentle and professional. She left me well informed and I am so grateful for my experience with her.

PA was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and address them. The entire process was easy from checking in, grabbing my vitals and seeing the provider.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The place is clean and the front staff is respectful and professional. That is where my positive review ends. I checked my 18month old in as instructed at 1:29pm. They continued to spell and pronounce my sons name incorrectly even after I corrected them multiple times. I asked if it was ok if we sat in the car while we waited to be called because he was super uncomfortable and fussy. They agreed and told me they would note my admission that I’m outside. After 2 hours waiting I went to the desk asking how much longer was the wait and I was told 2 more people. After 4 hours, yes 4 hours!! I left with my child. They said they only had 1 doctor on and no other staff available. I wish they would have explained that at the beginning and I would have went some where else. At 7:10pm, I receive a text message from themSaying it was now my turn to be seen by the doctor. That’s over 6hours!! the wait time and lack of communication was atrocious. Never again willI come here. I will go to the ER if that’s the case.

UPDATE: While the central billing department was very difficult to work with, the actual location manager followed up with me personally and helped to fix the billing departments error. As such, I have updated my review.I had a terrible experience here! When I arrived, they made me wait because they said my insurance was showing up as inactive. Then, while I was waiting, they called and verified that the insurance is active. BUT weeks later, I received a huge bill because they said again, inaccurately, that my insurance was inactive (even though their own staff member verified it while I was onsite). So frustrating! I wont be returning.

Like people make appointments based on their day and they just legit kept me here for over a hour and half passed my appointment time . Didn’t even get my self looked at because I’m going to be late for work lol just overall terrible experience. Like why even give an option for appointment if your not going to take the patient in any diff than if they were to walk in at that time .

Although I usually go to a walk in closer to my home for emergencies I have to say I was pleased. The receptionist is very attentive, she knew there was a wait and kept asking anyone in the waiting room if they needed water or to use the bathroom. She also apologized for them being behind a few times.The Nurse who I saw was very sweet and took her time with me. Although I did wait 2 hours to be seen with an appointment it was worth it. Also it was very clean. I would definitely take the drive to go back.

I arrived 15 minutes early although the requested was for only 10. I checked in from from my car and I was able to see a real time waiting list...win #2 The entire process was very convenient. My wait time to be seen was minimal. The staff was pleasant, polite and through. All of this on a Sunday, noless! I was told that I didnt need a prescription. I grabbed a snack on the way out…. We’ve come long way since lollipops and adults like treats too lol. Specific OTC meds were recommended, which I immediately purchased before I went home. I will follow up with how well I liked the diagnosis...TBD but I just may be adding that 5th star⭐️

Was referred by Yale urgent care (6 Devine St North Haven). Had no idea an appointment was needed. Some 2+ hours later, was “squeezed in.” Care was very good, However.

I had the best experience. Wait time wasnt long and I didnt even have and appointment. The problem I had was taken care of and the staff, doctor were very friendly and did and excellent job.

3.5 stars- Some of the front desk staff need more professionalism and better communication when dealing with patients in person and on the phone.The nurse practitioner was nice and thorough. The place is clean and we were in and out.

Overall, it was a positive experience. The check-in process was smooth. It helps to have an appointment as the wait time can be a little long if you are a walk-in and they are at peak business.

I have been to PhysicianOne two times in the past and they are the best urgent care facility. They are so kind and professional. Recently I had my very first virtual appointment with Stephanie and despite having a screen between us, I felt like I was in good hands. Two days later a Christina gave me a courtesy call to see how I was doing. Its this kind of care that makes me want to return if I ever have an issue in the future. Thank you so much!

Would have preferred to receive correct medication for allergies rather than asthma medication. With all do respect I do not have asthma and have never had a problem with breathing devices and I personally feel that was highly unprofessional. If I do decide to go back I would like another doctor please
