As a first-time patient at the office, I was impressed right from the moment I walked in. The space was clean, well-maintained, and inviting. I was seen by Nurse Practitioner Heather, who was warm and welcoming. I truly appreciated how she took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explained the next steps to address them. The office staff was also friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, I was very satisfied with my visit.

I got my nexplanon removed from my arm today, very first minor surgery so I was quite nervous. Heather Pickett and the lovely ladies that helped her out during the procedure, made me feel welcomed and comforted to a point I’ve never felt before in an office! More than satisfied with how these wonderful ladies took care of me and my wellbeing. Including the front desk! Amazing all around.

I came here for my first exam and I had Jennifer Dennison, I was very nervous but everyone in this office was super kind. The front desk ladies were super welcoming and the nurse that took my blood pressure helped me calm down and told me everything the Dr was likely to do. This place is a 10/10 I will forever go here now.

I had an appointment with the new NP, Jennifer Dennison today and she was wonderful! She was kind, thorough and did not make me fell rushed. She asked if I had any questions throughout our conversations. For me, it’s always nerve racking going to the doctors but she made me feel very comfortable.

I saw Dr Patel in regards to HRT. She was very informative, gave plenty of options with pros and cons and helped me come to a decision. Did not feel rushed at all and am very happy she will be my new GYN Dr. bedside manner impeccable!

Felt like my concerns were taken seriously. Wasn’t rushed through the appointment, like I have been at other offices. Overall great experience with Dr Patels new office.

I have always hated the annual women’s wellness exam. It’s awkward and uncomfortable. It’s painful sometimes. I just don’t like it. I think a lot of women feel the same way. And then sometimes you feel a little bit embarrassed about asking questions or you forget to ask with your feet in the stirrups, and then you leave and can’t get another appointment for months and months. That has been my experience with doctors up until now. All of that changed when I saw the doctor at this practice.Starting with my experience when I walked in – the place is welcoming and cozy. It smells really good. It is tastefully decorated. The front staff members were extremely kind and helpful. My wait was less than five minutes. The nurse who took me back was also very sweet. She told me to step up on the scale, and without meaning to I winced, and she said “don’t worry—we all hate this. Close your eyes and I won’t tell you what it says.” It was just so cute and it made me chuckle. When the Doctor herself (Heather Pickett) came in, she was really kind. She did something that no other doctor has ever done for me. She sat down and crossed her hands in her lap and talked to me for almost 20 minutes. I always feel like doctors are trying to rush through as many patients as they can and really don’t care about you more than a number and an insurance payment. Sometimes I feel like I almost have to tackle them to ask a question. If they do talk to you, it’s usually while they are typing or doing something else. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a doctor just give me her full attention like that. This is what healthcare is supposed to be I think, but this is the first time I’ve ever personally experienced it.I never once felt rushed. She let me ask every question I had and answered thoughtfully and thoroughly and took her time. She asked about my kids, and I told her it’s hard when kids grow up because even if you don’t want anymore children, it’s just hard knowing you will probably never have those little babies again to hold. And she smiled and said “when our kids are small they are physically tiring. When they get older, they are emotionally tiring. But we never stop worrying about them – the reasons for it just change. And we just cherish every part.” It was just such a beautiful thing to say. She was extremely gentle with her exam. She guided my feet to the stirrups and had little coverings on them so they wouldn’t be so cold and clinical. For the first time it wasn’t so painful or embarrassing to me. She was just very down to earth and caring. I really feel like this is the way all doctors should be. She puts the care back in healthcare, in my opinion.I left the office feeling…. cared for. I really can’t say the last time I felt that way at a medical office. Usually I feel hassled or rushed or just grateful to have it over for another year. I never feel better, really. I never feel like I have received some sort of wellness or healing. But I really did feel cared for and emotionally nourished when I left.I wish that all doctors offices operated this way. I wish that each woman who went to a gynecologist left feeling as if her doctor truly cared. I wish that we could always ask questions without feeling awkward. Until this office, I have never experienced it. But I am so grateful to Dr. Pickett and her staff. It really was a truly exceptional experience, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Such a great experience. It was my first visit and she made me feel comfortable and answered my questions and provided solutions. Highly recommend!

Wish I could be a part of the good reviews but this practice told me on the phone today that it doesnt accept my insurance which is in the top 10 largest in the world. Everyone that has united health care wont be able to use this practice unless your self pay.

I have followed Heather Pickett to 3 different locations!! Shes by far the best gyn in Fredericksburg, at least to me any way!!

My experience with the staff and Dr. Pickett and assistant was GREAT. I am so glad we have a clinic that not only specializes in womens health but also specifically menopause.
