Williamsburg Family Health Center - The Brooklyn Hospital Center

I dont know why theyve given this clinic such low stars. I grew up right across the street have been going to this clinic since 2010. i have always found the staff and doctors to be kind, friendly & competent. Ive since moved about 2.5 hours away and cant bring myself to go to another clinic!! The staff there is like family to me (Drs Trotman, Rivero & Harman & the staff (Ms P, Lisi & all the rest) are worth the long trip to me!

Went in to get a doctors note for work. Was told to speak with the assigned nurse upstairs and she told me she was going to see what she can do. After 15 minutes of waiting she starts making insinuations about my life without knowing my situation, saying I should be more disciplined and to return to work tomorrow or to get a doctors note from somewhere else. Very disappointed with the customer service and lack of understanding here.

This receptionist is horrible ! It took her over 25 minutes just to register me, there was absolutely no privacy , she looked into all kind of unnecessary information just to register me when I had a referral that clearly stated all of my undated information. Her monotone was terrible when I corrected her of the mis spelling of my last name which held everything up! In an extremely small waiting rooms she had you repeat the most intimate information ! Then when trying to correct her she calls her physicians and telling them in appropriate things like “she has an attitude “ just because I expressed how there’s no privacy and her monotone is horrible I’m in pain just looking for help and she made me feel like an insubordinate 5 year old. Then discussed my information loudly with her colleagues for the entire waiting room to hear her name is Leah!!!!

I have never been so uncomfortable in a doctors office. The receptionist (a much older gentleman) was making remarks about my appearance and being flirtatious and refusing to hand over paperwork so I would stay longer. I felt very violated that this person who now has all my most personal information was making passes at me. I left the office and just started sobbing because I needed to get help for my foot and I got nothing but anxiety. this appointment took 3.5 hours 2.5 to get in the room. 30 in the room and about 30 to get my paperwork so I could go

Back in the days there was a different Site Manager by the name of Minerva Hernandez and things ran like a clinic should be with compassion and professional staff. Before she even came here this clinic was very low with patients. Then Ms. Hernandez started out reach program to go out to the streets and reach out to the people to come by and try the new clinic. Attendance went up by a lot. Nowadays this places seems to loss more patients everyday. Doctors and staff seems to not show like they care, its like they dont want to work.

15 min wait time at most always with Dr. Oksana Levieva. She has been my doctor for over a year and I think she sets the bar high for doctors world-wide with her expertise, intelligence, and quick successful diagnosis time after time. I been to her with different concerns that together made me feel physically 20+ years older. I now feel 15 years younger. She is a new doctor to this facility with an incredible super quick wait time although I would be happy waiting 3hrs for a good doctor like her. I dont understand why we expect doctors to speed through helping patients. They are not a fast food service.

Would give zero stars if I could. This place is a public health hazard. When I walked in to the initial greeting area, neither receptionist was wearing a mask - completely unacceptable in the midst of a pandemic. Additionally, the woman at the front desk was severely lacking in manners. She continued to answer phone calls and carry on conversations while I was trying to check in, even when the other receptionist told her to say that she had a patient waiting. During this time, I also noted several patients walking in without masks. When I went to the appointments room, yet another receptionist in that room was not wearing a mask.Additionally, when I addressed the lack of masks with the practitioner I was scheduled to see (Wang), she had no initial response. When I pressed further, stressing that it was a problem, she only offered a weak sorry and said that she agreed with me that all staff members should be wearing masks. No attempt to say that the center would address the issue.Incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional place. Will not return and would not recommend to anyone.

Good service for been my first time going to this office and I also want to say they were very organized and professional at the time of the earthquake

This facility has gradually gotten worst. When I had a child of my own in 2013, I was seeing Dr. Elina Bekker. This doctor was so rude and had zero compassion for her patients. I only stood there because it was a convenient location and I wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt. Once my daughter was born, I had a wonderful pediatrician, Dr. Besada. In 2016, she left the practice and non of her patients were informed, we were left in the dust asking what was going on. Since then they change every single pediatrician to a family practitioner. You could never reach anyone on the phone and forget about getting any records pertaining to you or your child. A physical will take more than a month to be completed. I went recently, and it took nearly 2 hours and half to be seen. They updated their systems and use that as an excuse to get anything done. These nurses work at a snails pace. The new nurses are rude and dont want to be bothered. Availability for Doctors is basically non-existent they come in once a week and you have those who cant find parking so your 9am appointment, they wont get there till after 10am. This place is a joke. They are at a great location and I believe the community needs this, but new management is a must. Train your Doctors and dont make coming to the doctors office such an ordeal. Please dont go here. I warned you.

My great grandma had a doctor here who was suppose to check her after foot surgery.The doctor told her she was fine every single week and sent her home She later passed away from a foot infection. It is all because of this doctor I lost my great grandma. This doctor was negligent and should not be doctor. Me and my family are going to sue.

Ive been coming here for years with my son and year after year it gets worse and worse. The only reason I continued here was Dr.Basada (my sons pcp) was an amazing doctor .Wait time is ridiculous 4:45pm appt sitting around at 7pm with 6 people still ahead of us on a school night. Everyone here works at a snails pace. I will be switching now that my sons pcp is no longer affiliated here. It takes forever to see a doctor then another eternity to get labs drawn up and done.

Very unhappy, this is not the first time Ive experienced this type of customer service. Today My son went in for a appointment scheduled for 11:15am, He sitting their waiting until he fell asleep not hearing his name called (Andrea G), name entered in the system wrong.. Proper name is Andrew G. After waiting for 2 hours he still didnt get to see a doctor, was rescheduled for the next day Wednesday 06/28/17, mind you hes in pain. The service there is unsatisfactory. The wait time to see/speak to someone is terrible. You have to actually take a day off of work just to see a doctor and your appointment could be as early at 10am. Not satisfied, Annoyed

The worst clinic ever! It’s so slow and a lot of the doctors are very dry and somewhat bored . Ugh! I’ve been dealing with this clinic for about 3 years until I said enough! GYN sucks, pediatrician sucks (try tribeca pediatrics) ! The only nice people there are the ladies in front

This place literally saved my husband’s life!The staff there are so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The location is accessible with a variety of other resources and doctors on site; and it’s super clean. I know people have previously stated that their experience may not have been as accommodating as mine, but that was also a long time ago- perhaps it’s under new management? it’s just hard for me to believe that the service that they received was from the same people I have been seeing.

Let me start by saying i was going to this clinic for about 20 years until the obgyn that delivered all 3 of my kids left she was the only doctor there that i felt comfortable with and she listened and explained things to you was thorough and compassionate you know all the qualities you look for in a good doctor she had watched my kids grow up even became my daughters gyn when my daughter turned 18 which was the same child she delivered but when she retired i said im done with that crap hole of a place that over the years took a sad turn for the worse the staff rude ill mannered unprofessional you have a pediatrician dr basada that gets some kind of cheap thrill out of calling childrens services on mothers that have taken their kids to her for years good moms ,you have a nightmare of a so called gyn dr bekker although i dont see how in a million years someone so rude and arrogant and ill mannered and oh so ignorant herself is in anyway a doctor or how anyone hasnt seen to it that this lady be fired i though the people that i knew that tried to convince me of just how bad her additude was were maybe just mad or something at the time but my stupid self didnt listen i went back to this hell hole for a second opinion and literally waked out of there in tears offended and outraged that a so called doctor could treat a patient so bad she tried to insinuate that i am a heavy drug user thats why im in pain ( just for the record never used drugs in my life ) she said she was going to run a full work up for stds because she thinks by looking at me that i probably have multiple stds ( mind you im just sitting in a chair never examined me at that point ) also i have to mention i am 45 years old std free and have not been sexually active in 10 years which i told her right off that bat but her response with a additude and eye roll was well thats what you say yes thats what i say because thats what it is who the hell are you that i would have to lie im a grown women lady what the hell is wrong with you i told her and she had a little smirk and turn away back to the computer she never let me speak talked over me tried to tell me my pelvic bone was right under my belly button wait what ? your kidding me right ? you do realize doctor and i use the term very hesitantly that my pelvic bone is much much lower i thought i had to have been being punked at this point that some camera crew was gonna jump out from behind a curtain and laugh at me but no instead of me listen to my gut and running out the door and i give her a piece of my mind i stayed out of desperation at this point to get to the bottom of what was wrong with me after answering the most stupidest questions again and again like how often are you and your partner sexually active ? what the hell lady what part didnt you understand about the whole 10 year thing and no form of sexually contact what so ever ? she would ask a question i would answer and in the most rude manner her response everytime would be thats not what i asked you now im going to ask you again and this time answer the question what the .... ? who are you talk to like that im not your child and i dont know why its so hard for you to process information doctor but your what nightmares are made of she gave me a pelvic exam which i though she might try to do through my belly button since that seems to be where this twit thinks it is but during the exam she cut my vagina with her ring a pretty long cut at that then shes digging and asking if my insides hurt when she digs around up there my first thing i said was ouch lady you just cut me back off just stop right now im getting pissed the heck off cause im demanding she take her hand out shes hurting me with her rings and im sliding up the table trying to get away im raising my voice this lady and she has the nerve to say thats not what i asked you i asked if it hurts when i press your bladder not if my hand hurts you it will take some time for the cut to heal its not exactly small you have been warned just like i was stay away

Desk staff is friendly and Dr. Schmidlein is very knowledgeable, patient and attentive. Glad we found such a great pediatrician.

The reception is the slowest ever. They give you appointments tosit there. But the doctors and nurses are good.

They always have you waiting around to see the doctor they need to fix how they set up appointment why make a appointment for 11:45 knowing you not going to be seen to around 1PM

Horrible clinic everyone is rude, have attitudes and no one wants to work. I dont know how this place is open, running a business. I need to find a new dr in this area.

Quick and easy in my knayborhood easy walking distance. Dr INOA is the best.
