Planned Parenthood - Yakima Health Center

Made appointment at 10am! Waited outside for 30minutes before calling and the customer rep could not get their answer either! So disrespectful for a facility to make appointments and not have an open facility. Dont make appointments here if you value your time apparently they are falling off.

Edit: avoid this place if you can. I had a letter provided for surgery, which needed updated information to be approved, and when I called, the person on the phone refused to provide my Dr’s contact information as she had changed practices, and told me they no longer offer any behavioral health services. Even though I had been assured they still did a few months prior. So now I have no way of getting a life-saving surgery I’ve been waiting several years for. The woman on the phone (Cindy) was completely unsympathetic and cold, and didn’t tell me they couldn’t help me until several minutes into the call. Why? I don’t know. I absolutely *hate* Planned Parenthood for transgender care at this point.On top of that, their billing department is a nightmare to deal with. I had an appointment SIX MONTHS ago that Medicaid covers, and what do they do? They bill me. $455. I tell them to bill Medicaid (which I shouldn’t have to do???) and you know what they do? They dig up and bill my old insurance provider from a job I haven’t worked at for over 6 months, that I no longer have. And I get a copay bill in the mail. These people, top to bottom, are awful to deal with. The idea of paying for services here is repugnant to me with how terrible my experience has been every single step of the way. They can’t bill properly, they treat transgender people poorly, and are entirely unsympathetic to people in difficult situations, even when those situations are caused by Planned Parenthood. I know this review is ridiculously long and I sound like a Karen to some people, but I don’t care. My experience has been atrocious.Overall decent place, but was called “Sir” multiple times by the front staff while picking up an injection kit for estrogen. I’m trans. Staff also use ignorant/outdated terminology for transgender people and cisgender people, unfortunately.

I had an appointment today for first time IUD insertion and every single person I interacted with was so kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and while going through intake the nurse/assistant noticed I was nervous and asked if I would like someone to come in and hold my hand during the procedure. This was a level of pain I haven’t experienced before, but they all did so much to make sure I was okay and comfortable, and constantly asked how I was doing. Thank you all so much for making me feel comfortable and safe!! 😊

Wonderful experience! Alice removed my malpositioned IUD (placed by a different provider) quickly and efficiently. She was very informative and made me feel so comfortable. Rory helped me with my complications from the IUD. They genuinely cared about what I was going through. I highly recommend both of these providers. In addition, I was able to schedule an appointment the same day which was much needed and much appreciated!

I’m glad that planned parenthood is helping me with getting tested for Endometriosis. I have had bad and heavy period since the age of 9.I had Dr. Vye Kent tell me I didn’t have it by looking at me.Dr. Lisa Benton telling me she won’t do a pap on me because of my situation I’m going through.Dr. Melanie Adams told me there’s one way to find out is through surgery, when there are THREE tests to do before doing the surgery test.Because of doctors like this, women do not get tested and or diagnosed in time, and have to go through multiple, MULTIPLE, doctors. Which is ridiculous and malpractice.Because of doctors like this, some women get tested in its early stages. Some women get tested when its in their bowels and or on the chest cavity.Which is malpractice.

I cant say enough good things about my experience. It was incredibly easy to set up an appointment online and when I arrived, everyone I encountered was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The receptionist and the provider who did my exam were both friendly and informative. The provider was very comforting and thoroughly explained everything she did and looked at. She even told me things about my body I had never known! Highly recommend.

Front desk staff takes their sweet time and ask case sensitive questions multiple times because of their lack of attentiveness. For only having one clinic In a growing town they certainly don’t work in a timely manner. And the manager of this branch rather argue with patients than find an alternative which I found unprofessional. Be prepared for poor care and don’t expect more or less out of them

This place is great! The staff is absolutely amazing! So genuine and caring. The lady who placed my iud In I believe her name is Kate was so awesome totally made me feel so at ease and was helpful with any questions I had! The other lady I believe her name was Desiree also was totally hopefully with anything I needed! As long as this place is open it’s where I’m going. And the people on these reviews saying “they kill babies” just remember the next time your daughter or sister or even wife’s goes in there to get an abortion they will be in great hands!

Awful experience here unfortunately. I’ve experienced nonstop issues with insurance and, unfortunately, discrimination from staff. I’m not about to join the protestors outside, but I’ve had mostly negative experiences with Planned Parenthood.

The front desk staff are wonderful and very help full. The technician Hanna was short, lacked basic understanding, and I believe used the nesscesity of my visit as ledverage to try to intimidate me through means of outward threat, which an employee in any clinical setting should never do. I dont care what type of clinic. She was short, deceptive in her answers and had absolutely no understanding of a basic health affliction, A typical anxiety. Im a highly educated individual and I saw right through her power trip and im in charge mind games.Im going to move up the chain of employees until im sure she will never be allowed to treat another women as she did me. A woman of lesser strength would have been destroyed after the way she behave towards me as her patient. Sad really.

I went to the PP a couple weeks ago and needed to come back for a fallow up appointment. I was turned away at the door because I had my daughter who is 18 months old with me. What kind of clinic turns mothers away?! Good thing Im not a domestic violence victim trying to get help! Or a women with an undiagnosed life threatening condition! Child care is over priced and hard to find, especially right now.

Love this clinic!! All the staff is so nice, friendly & extremely helpful. They make you feel comfortable & at ease. I always schedule my appointments at this Planned Parenthood! Highly recommend!

Only rating Referral dept they are very incompetent took nearly 3 months to schedule an appt with specialist because of lack of paperwork and documentation (note-taking). Their incompetence and lack of accountability put my health at risk. Admin needs to urgently fix their issues. Otherwisr, I rate 5 stars to Providers (clinicians) they provide the upmost patient care possible.

Appreciate the privacy and safety felt by all staff. Its hard enough to be responsible without feeling ashamed or embarrassed to need services they offer but we all need to feel safe and things happen...your not alone and you should never be ashamed or embarrassed being responsible and checking up on yourself. Things happen and you will find support for any situation you come across by the staff here and be treated with DIGNITY AND RESPECT ALWAYS! Thank God they are here!

The staff here make me feel comfortable and they are very knowledgeable about any questions i may ask. Quick and easy appointments every time Ive never had a problem with them :)

Easily was able to set up an appointment over the phone & have said appointment over the phone, was first called by the receptionist and she patiently told me all the steps I had to take to get in connection with the set up provider ( Really sweet lady named Shannon ) and she as well explained all my options for birth control and was very patient as well, I got my birth control within three days of the call.

Very kind Rory was extremely helpful in not only providing care but information on the care and possible options.

Kind capable staff. Reception, nurse and Dr. Alice helped me out a lot today. Thank you.
