Planned Parenthood - West Hartford Center

I brought my daughter in for birth control I specifically told the lady that I would like for her to be placed. On the pill , well the doctor ended up talking her into having an insert put wich made me very upset because the side effects are horrible I will have to look for another clinic

I give this abortion clinic in West Hartford CT zero stars and why is that? Because abortion rights is morally wrong and I strongly believe that killing a unborn child in the womb is evil, morally wrong and it goes against one of the ten commandments, Thou shall not kill. And in the past few times Ive seen Knights of Columbus and 40 days for life members protesting in front of the abortion clinic and I for one commend them for protesting. And If I wanted to stand in front of this abortion clinic, I would also protest as well and tell the people who work at the abortion clinic saying that what theyre doing is wrong and urge them to repent and wake up. But I wouldnt do it alone. I would have the Knights of Columbus and the 40 days for life group join me in the protest. As for the people who work at the abortion clinic, I urge them to stop what theyre doing and wake up and repent.

Ill be honest here, this is a moment where the staff was able to bring me happiness even though I was upset about something.I went in for a checkup and my SO had her own. There was a mixup with scheduling. When I spoke to the manager about this I was well received and though the issue was unfixable she offered me comfort when I explained my situation. Instead of apologizing she immediately started thinking about ways to help others in the future - which could be me again.These are the kind of people you want to work with when it comes to your health.On the staffing portion the nurses were personable and nice to speak with.I now feel comfortable coming here.Thank you

September 2020 when I was 17, I came here for a surgical abortion.They lied to me. They said they’d give me “twilight sedation” , but they gave me NOTHING. I was completely LUCID during my procedure.I laid on the table while 4 nurses held me down and the (bald female) doctor performed the procedure as I screamed and squirmed. Instead of stopping to check on me, they held me down and held my legs open.I’m 21 now and luckily for them, the statutes of limitations for a lawsuit has passed so I unfortunately can’t really sue, otherwise I’d absolutely sue the life out of them and own this clinic. I still suffer from PTSD to this day and I’m in therapy for it .

I love the doctors and staff and PP WH, they are the best! This is my fourth time going to PP for family planning services and I’ve always had a positive experience. Today, the nurse held my hand and comforted me with kind words as the doctor inserted my IUD. The staff is so nice, they thanked me several times for just being there! I am simply blown away by the compassion of this team, thanks again PP!

Amazing, compassionate people work here. Went in nervous and not knowing what to expect, but they made the experience as good as it could have possibly been. From the kind lady at the front desk, to the two different people who took care of me during my appointment ( K & L, their names began with), I cannot say enough good things. They really, really made a difficult experience into something less scary and more manageable. I cant thank them enough. Keep doing what you do--you make a difference to all the women in the world.

I came here for Nexplanon (birth control) removal and insertion, and Mark and Lauren were seriously amazing during this process. They are very patient, professional, and competent in their skills. The rest of the staff here are very kind as well!

This staff is really out here providing trans competent and inclusive healthcare. I felt respected, seen, and heard by all of the staff and I am grateful for the work they’re doing during such stressful times for healthcare workers. Shout out to Jane and Mary for the laughs, y’all are wonderful.

I went there late in the day seeing if I could just have a walk-in appointment, but there werent any slots left. A very nice woman (she seemed like a nurse) helped me schedule an appointment, and even gave me the intake paperwork to take home with me so I would be all ready when I came back. A very warm and welcoming place: colorful chairs and walls, and very helpful people!

I went there yesterday for the first time. My appointment was in the afternoon, the ladies at the front desk were nice and helpful. The MA and the Dr where also very nice, helpful and informative. I felt comfortable. Thank you!

This location is even worse than what i previously thought was the worst (north end of Hartford) ... WARNING: not all are welcome here, they do not treat everyone with the same level of respect & concern for their well being & will even turn people away & refuse care completely in some cases......Terrible, absolute WORST STAFF (especially the supervisor Jane, who ought to know better & set a better example!) of any planned parenthood Ive ever been to, will NOT go back to any of them ever again...and will be telling EVERYONE i possibly can going forward not to go here, both on social media & face to face! ...reported the staff & supervisor to the ADA today too, submitted a claim & will be following up with the local health inspector as well asap!

The staff here is AMAZING!!! So friendly, professional, polite, and willing to put the work in so the patient is happy comfortable and has what they need. Stellar people, couldn’t be happier to come here for appointments.

I came at 3:30 pm on December 2nd,2017 (Saturday) for a walk-in, but the branch was closed. The hours listed on the door say the branch should be open until 4:30 pm. Please update your online hours to accurately reflect when this facility is open.In the past I have had excellent experiences with planned parenthood. I was unpleasantly surprised by this experience.

Convenient service, but the OBGYN was dismissive when I said my birth control was negatively effecting my anxiety levels and mood. She said that birth control doesnt effect that but two months later we have a Danish study conclusively linking hormonal contraceptives to depression and other mental health issues. I just felt very ignored and like my provider didnt really care about me.

Went for HRT, amazing experience! My initial appointment was on a Monday, I got my first shot that Wednesday. It’s very efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you!

I have been a patron and patient of Planned Parenthood for about 25 years they helped deliver my first and only child recently I could not even get a doctors note for college stating that I have Painful periods I am in my senior year in college and, I run a business.. I was discriminated against I am now seeing a private physician dentist gynaecologist Etc and my 19 year old daughter will be doing the same we will no longer support Planned Parenthood by sending money or signing petitions or calling the senator to help out I couldnt even get a doctors note for college but they would give me a free abortion at with no questions at no obligation at no cost and they kept trying to give me birth control to sterilize me I have been married for 10 years and do not wish to be sterilized they refuse to sign my paperwork and even stated that I should leave the premises because there was nothing more they could do for me. I have been going to this particular location since 2008 and have never seen a black doctor or nurse or even an ethnic doctor or nurse take a look at all of the bad reviews and take our word for it I believe The the good reviews are fake or from women who have not been discriminated against for obvious reasons the the nurse in Old Saybrook Planned Parenthood location stated that she did not feel that I should have extra time to complete my assignments even though they have documentation of the medical issue, but would sterilize me so I wont get a period by putting a foreign object in my body. Hello I would like to have more children.

Everyone here made me very comfortable and this will be the only planned parenthood i’ll go to for now on ❤️😊!

The worse place ever, I’ve call to remove my birth control. The place refused to care for me even though they introduced the birth control to me. I explained to attendant the amount of bleeding and pain I was having do to the birth control. They said just go to emergency room. Those people would let anyone die. Don’t put your life at risk by coming to this place.

They are timely on returning calls and patient and caring and kind. They also deal with those who have delt with trauma in a kind caring manner. They also work with those who do not have insurance to make womens healthcare affordable. Helped with getting issues resolved or any medications needed to take care of any problems.

Is planned parenthood closed? THREE DAYS CALLING THEM. No answer! Ridiculous! If you guys are not committed to the health of your patients then drop them. So they can get their health needs met some where else!!! THREE DAYS CALLING!

I absolutely love the people here. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Truly a place you can count on. Ive been going here for so many years.

Their call center is horrible, rude and unsympathetic. They don’t listen to the problem and are quick to cut you off with a “simple” solution or say they don’t handle “those situations”. Never had a problem with the office itself .. but the call center is H O R R I B L E. Highly suggest finding a different way to contact the office!!
