I have been to this Urgent multiple times. I have truly have got the best care at American Urgent Care compare to any other clinic I have been before. Dr. Newman is great. He is friendly, thorough, detailed, and fast. The staff are nice and pleasant. highly recommended.

This is now my go to urgent care in the valley Dr. Newman Never appears to be in a hurry, Listens attentive to what you have to say.. all the staff at the facility are friendly and very efficient. Dr. Newman runs a great medical office. thank you Dr.

Terrible service 0000000 STAR Sheila claimed to be the office manager is terrible manner they kept acting and telling me your insurance is not active I had my insurance on the line speaker was very rude and her medical assistance first thing she told me was your insurance isnnot active I could pay them and complete the visit but because theyre terrible raccit manner I didnt go with them my insurance kept telling them her insurance active. Her insurance is active they kept telling me a diffrent story. I hate hate the service. Was my first time and last so so so so so horrible service the worst of the worst and Sheila claimed the manager she was trying to raised her voice. Claimed me Im fraud person. I never expected that service Ive always pay for my stuff I didnt not appreciate the quality of the service and every medical assistant telling me something diffrent. Horrible service uneducated office the office manager and the staff dont know what they are doing. Worst service NEVER USE THEM OR REFFER THEM!

I feel so lucky to have chosen this care center. Dr. Newman and staff were extremely friendly and professional. I needed stitches done in a tricky area and he did an incredible job. Everyone was supportive and empathetic towards my situation, which meant alot since I was visiting from out of town and had no friends or family to lean on. This is the very best urgent care experience I have ever had. The facility is very modern, clean and state of the art. I was treated quickly and felt the quality of care was exceptional. Dr. Newman took his time and didnt rush to the next patient. I felt like he listened and genuinely cared about my well being. I would recommend my friends and family to come here. I had a rough start with some questions regarding my Insurance Eligibility however the staff called the Insurance company directly and made sure all was correct and taken care of. They were caring and efficient. The office is clean and the wait was short. Dr. Newman was kind, thorough and made me feel cared for. I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care.

I cant believe that in this day of insurance companies and the medical community trying to maximize their profits, with minimal care, there is still a doctor out there that takes the time with his patients and gives phenomenal medical care. American Urgent Care Center is modern, a one stop center with everything you need for excellent medical care and has a staff that is compassionate and cares. I would choose this facility over any urgent care center, or even your primary care doctor in Southern California.

Dr. Robert Newman possibly saved my life!! I went to American Urgent Care with stomach pain and was met by an office staff that was kind and welcoming. There was hardly any wait when I got in to see Dr. Newman. I knew right away that Dr. Newman knew what he was doing! He asked all the right questions and truly listened to what I had to say. I didn’t feel like just a number or that he was too busy to be bothered! He was warm and caring. He assessed the situation and sent me immediately to the Emergency Room of a nearby hospital. I went into surgery and was told by my surgeon that if I would have gotten there five hours later I could have lost my life!!I thank God for American Urgent Care and Dr. Robert Newman!!Jamie Morante

Super Clean and Friendly environment specially the girl at the front desk is super polite and kind,the wait time was 5 minutes.But it seems like they are not trained.I had my blood drawn today and the first time he drew blood it splashed all over the table and my arms and he couldn’t draw the blood.The second time another guy game and he drew again but it splashed again.Now my arm is swollen and started to bruise.

We were very much pleased with the wonderful service our mother received at the American Urgent Care Center. Dr. Newman and Harold were exceptional! There was no waiting, quick and easy service!Being from out of town we were a little nervous about taking our mother to a strange doctor, but we were certainly satisfied!!! 10 Stars!!!!!

Dr Newman and his team of professionals provide excellent diagnosis and patient care. Went in for breathing issues, was immediately diagnosed and treated for my condition. On 1/19 we visited the office for my husband, Vazken Kalayjian. He had tested Covid positive on 1/11 but his symptoms got worse starting 1/18. We decided to come and seek for some help. All staff were nice, until Dr Newman walked in and started asking questions. The minute he found out my husband was not vaccinated, all changed. His attitude changed and he told us to go to emergency. He didn’t even check his vitals. Absolutely no help, didn’t even check his temperature, or blood pressure, the normal routine check-ups. I thought Doctors do pledge to help people in need of health help. We went to another Urgent care, and they were so caring and right away they checked his oxygen, blood pressure and temperature. Turned out he had 103.5 temperature and 95 oxygen level. Right away they gave him Tylenol and did couple of tests. It’s sad that Dr Newman did absolutely nothing😒

This is my second visit to American Urgent Care. Both times I have been seen right away by the doctor. Dr. Newman and the staff are professional, organized, friendly, and give you that “family” feel.The office is spotless, parking is convenient, and I am so happy to have found this place.Thank you Dr. Newman and staff!

By far the best Urgent Care you can go to. Very clean facility. Very friendly staff and most importantly, Dr. Newman treats you as an individual and takes time to answer any and all questions. Pricing is very friendly as well. I am thankful I found this place.

First let me say, theres not a cleaner, nicer, more modern urgent care or doctors office in the greater LA or Valley area. Even more importantly Dr. Newman is incredibly caring, kind, compassionate and unlike most urgent cares (or even doctor offices for that matter...) he really takes the time to diagnose you, and make sure the treatment youre on is right for you. He wont rush you in and out of the office and is willing to take the extra effort to figure out whats going on with you and how to fix it. He is also incredibly funny and keeps you laughing the whole visit. Hes truly unlike any other Doctor I have had the pleasure of seeing.This also goes for the staff. They are all very polite, knowledgeable and efficient.This is not our first visit to American Urgent Care. I came down with Vertigo after a trip to Mexico. I had been to two urgent cares in Los Angeles and the ER at Cedars Sanai. No one was able to correctly diagnose or treat my Vertigo. But after one visit to Dr. Newman he got me on the right meds and also was able to get my insurance to approve an MRI which no one else had been able to.My wife just came down with a bad persistent fever and cough so I knew there was only once place to go! He saw her twice and diagnosed her acute Pneumonia via a chest X-ray and we are both super happy to know we can count on the exemplary care of Dr. Robert and the staff at American Urgent Care Center. They are the best!

Dr. Robert Newman and his staff at American Urgent Care are super professional and kind. During the covid outbreak they provide a super hygienic environment to attend to urgent medical conditions that is as hassle free and worry free as I could have ever imagined. I was so reluctant to go to the doctor but after my visit here I felt a lot better. They also can provide some prescriptions on site. So it’s as much of a one stop shop for healthcare as our current system provides and really close to my house in Tarzana with lots of parking. I can only remember living in West Hollywood and going to Cedars and paying $35 for parking. Oy. Never again. From now on only Dr. Newman in Tarzana.

First time. Over the top service. As good as it gets.I was traveling overseas and needed to obtain and submit a negative test-result certificate for COVID-19 at time of departure.But the airlines required that I test 72-hours in advance of takeoff, for which lab results coincided with the weekend. Nonetheless, doctors and staff went out of their way to sign, scan, and send me the negative lab results, during their time off.I’m a senior executive for a hi-tech company and recognize well-run operations that uphold tenets of putting customers first; personal care, professional commitment, and good vibes abound here.A heartfelt thanks to Dr Newman and his wife; and the entire staff.

A very friendly staff, an excellent doctor to boot, who genuinely makes it his passion to check on your vitals, and determine the root cause of your illnesses. He used the analogy for medicine that You wouldnt paint an 100 year old building to make it look beautiful, without first checking the foundations., and boy does he apply this philosophy to the fullest extent. The prices for his medicines are quite acceptable, depending on your financial position. As someone whose in between medical insurance providers right now, this really helps me immensely. Dr. Robert Newman, I really need to thank you for your help with me!!!

I have been visiting American Urgent care twice .The place is sparkly clean ! They have x ray machine and it was super fast !I am a real estates and a mom . I have 0 extra min to seat in emergency rooms ... for few dollars this place saves the day!And did I said ez parking!?

My wife has had one of the most unfriendly interactions with the staff there. They treated her so terribly bad and did not help at all with her insurance issue. We will never go here and will tell our insurance to not book other clients here.

Got a rapid covid test here. Very polite and professional staff. You dont need an appointment. Test results in 15 min. Not covered by insurance. I will continue to do business with this Urgent Care

I had COVID-19 test in this facility in Dec 2020. COVID-19 testing was okay and I have no complain, but I do not recommend this facility if you are planning to submit your cost to the insurance.The care facility refused to accept my insurance (BlueCross) even though the facility was listed in the insurance website. I didnt think twice because this place was near my home and I thought I can submit a claim and get reimbursed. It turns out a nightmare.The facility initially did not provide a properly itemized receipt missing various informations required for an insurance claim (TAX ID, procedure code, and diagnostic code). Ive called and asked for those information, but they answered no. Ive submitted the claim and it was rejected due to missing information in Jan 2021.I contacted the facility again and they provided another itemized receipt. This time they provided procedure code, but still lacks TAX ID and diagnostic code. Ive asked again to the people at the desk but again rejected to provide those information. Ive talked to an insurance claim officer and they says it will be rejected.I understand this is a small facility and may not want to deal with insurance claims. But I do not understand why they do not cooperate nor not able to provide proper forms for an insurance claim. Why make the patient life harder? This is my neighborhood, and I dont think I will ever visit this place again.

Very nice people, masks were worn by all. Filled out a short form and were told that you would be called in 60min. In and out of the office and was very satisfied. Definite go to for your testing needs.

Be aware of this dr. Newman hell try to sell his medicine way too expensive to you. He tried with me. You could buy same meds from other pharmacy places cheaper than here. He also ordered unnecessary tests on me just to make big bucks.

Great service, I was very well attended and the results were incredible, I recommend it to everyone who is wanting it, the assistance I received during my recovery was also great, I had 24-hour assistance and I didnt have any complications after the surgery

This place is horrible! As soon you walk in the receptionist don’t even greet you, yet tells you to wait outside. As you wait and wait, no one comes out or tells you anything else. When I asked about the wait time (after 15 min ) she was extremely rude! She told me “Go to another urgent care”; it’s really rude and unprofessional to speak like that to your patients.Beware! Dont go there!
