Terrible customer service/ patient centered care. All they want is your money— they proceed with claim filed with insurance and then are unable to allow for the out of pocket cost, which is half the price. Billed my insurance 2,200 when the out of pocket cost is 250. Will be telling my OB to find a new genetic testing company. No wonder my insurance company doesn’t work with them!

Myriad has made considerable strides since its inception as one of the pioneering genetic testing companies. It has established a reputation for testing quality and trust that sets it apart from other laboratories in the field.

Terrible company, they waste your time. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use this company for your blood work testing. Im going into week 5 waiting for my results. Every single week I reach out and get the same run around from this company, promising me itll be ready by the following week/end of week, but its never the case. They ask for 2 weeks for your results, well I gave them 5 and Ive finally had enough. There isnt an excuse in the world to hold back my results for 5 damn weeks. I know the company doesnt care but these results are extremely important to my family and my future child, and by pushing off the results every single week they are causing enormous stress on my family. Do yourself a favor people and use any other company. I couldve had peace of mind by now if I had used any other Lab, what a shame.

I am so upset with this company! I’ve been waiting three weeks now to get my NIPT results. I was estimated to get my results within 7-10 days. I emailed and called them multiple times and they gave me a new estimate over the phone and still nothing!!! I am so frustrated and beyond mad. Nobody can give me an answer why it’s taking so long. I am so anxious and it puts so much stress on me which I really don’t need right now. I would never ever recommend this company. Unfortunately my OB is using them to get these kind of tests done and I’m already thinking of switching my OB because I do not want do deal with myriad ever again.

Headline: wife & I got a $2,600 BILL for genetic testing?!?Ordered through her doctors office, and we received a document that stated we could pay $349 each by not going through insurance. We ended up getting this $2,600 bill so I called them right away.They explained that they billed insurance and that was their contracted rate. Given I had not hit my deductible for the year, this is $2,600 out of my pocket vs. the $748 total that I was expecting to pay.I told myriad that I was operating under the expectation of a $748 because thats what their own document says! They said, nope, its too late because it was billed to insurance. I was never given that option to choose and theyre not willing to do anything about it.This company is a scam, not looking out for anyones best interests. They said, but you didnt sign into your profile to review the estimate. What profile? This is just something ordered by the doctor, why do I have to jump through hoops and sign up for your system? Unbelievable.

Company is a scam. they quoted us a lower out of pocket price in the beginning and then after we agreed to the test, a month later we received a bill for three times the originally quoted price.

I am pregnant and I had a routine visit at my OBGYN. The doctors office drew blood for routine testing. My doctors office sent my blood sample to a Counsyl without my knowledge of them being an out of network provider and with ZERO knowledge of there being any charges for the routine testing. After a month or so I received a bill for $350 from a company called Counsyl. When I inquired about the charges they advised me that they were for genetic testing services for a blood test sent by my doctor. I advised the Counsyl representative that we were never made aware of the charges prior to the testing and we would have never consented to the testing (which we now have found out is not routine but elective). The Counsyl representative told us that they send out an email and text message about the charges. I advised the rep that I never received an email or text and we never responded with authorization to run the test. The rep told me that they just assume we got it and do not wait for a consent response acknowledging the charges. This is a sham and I am not liable for charges I was not made aware of. It is like charging someone to exit a building without fist telling them there is an exit charge when entering. Flat out wrong. We will not pay them and I would like Counsyl to clear our balance and send confirmation that we owe them nothing.

I was honestly skeptical after all the bad reviews but I had a great experience. I had my blood drawn for NIPT on 05/09 and I got my results today, 05/17. When my results said in Clinical Review I called Myraid to set up a consultation and they called me within 20 minutes and went over my results with me. I am satisfied.

The WORST experience Ive ever had. My doctors office went throughout counsyl for my informed pregnancy screen. After 10 days my order still had not been processed. Once I called, I was informed the doctor forgot info on the request form. I had to call my doctors office myself because I was told they hadnt gotten to it. After that info was retrieved, I called for my results days later to find out the tubes had expired. Why I was not informed beforehand is beyond me. I had to leave work early to draw blood all over again, was told it was overnight shipping but didnt arrive until almost 4 days later. My order is supposed to be prioritized because of the inconvenience & attempt #2 but yet they still dont think they can get results until next week. Ive been on the phone with this company about 20 times the past 3 weeks.

Test results are delivered with sufficient explanation. The sample taking process is not very complicated. However I do not understand the pricing policy for these procedures. At first, they pretended to check with your insurance, and provide a estimation with very low numbers. After you receive the full result, they returned with a much higher cost ($349 per test). This is fine, if the test is actually provide similar level of service. I was screened for more than 100 genetic disordered. Based on my result, they selectively screened only one type of disorders for my husband. But my husband test cost as much as mine. Im calling the billing center, their response is uniformly firmed, $349 per person PER PERSON, regardless how little they need to do.

DO NOT USE THEM!!They messed up my test sample, took two weeks to notify us of it. Sent the repeat test to our old incorrect address all while dodging emails asking for a refund.One I demanded a refund and threatened to post negative reviews they cancelled my order and assured me that a refund would post within a few days. That was 12 days ago.I disputed the charge on via AMEX and am now warning people about this broken company.

Shall we call it a scam when you claim patient will receive result within 10 days while we get nothing after more than 20 days after testing? Today is the 24th day after I provided the sample and they are saying I need to wait for another 10-14days to get a result…

A test that should have taken a week to complete has taken more than three to begin. They misplaced our sample and gave us excuse after excuse, now I’ve asked to speak to a manager and they are so “busy” they can’t be bothered to call me back for 24-48 hours. I don’t want excuses, I want you to fix whatever error you made myriad. I have 0 confidence in this company. I now question if the results we have yet to receive are from the correct blood sample, if myriad can complete the tests properly, and if they still have the sample we sent to be tested in the first place.

Not Professional at all or better to say they are totally messed up. 1st of all they messed up the sample itself which delayed the testing for a month then they sent us wrong report and marked it as High Risk pregnancy case, as first time parents it was a shocker. They actually shared a wrong report with us, due to this wrong report they asked us to take blood test for which we have to run behind them, as they dont have a facility to draw blood, then at-last my doctor arranged blood test for us so that Counsly can proceed. Then it took them almost a month to update us back that my wife results are clean and there is no issue. Now its more than 3 weeks and I am running behind them to send me a detailed mail with explanation and they are passing the balls around. If you are pregnant and your doctor asks for Genetic test make sure you are for vendor and skip if its Counsly. I don’t want anyone else to go through such harassment which we went through.

Horrible business price gouging insurance and super greedy would never recommend i hope they get sued. they billed 2000 dollars for a 200 dollar test elsewhere not once but twice

I was told my results would take 3-4 days by my lab. Then counsyl told me up to 7 days. I called on the 8th day and they told me another week. Over the last week, their website has gone down several times. Several times I was also told I would get a reply from someone who could give me a status update. Its wasn’t until the 3rd person I talked to actually emailed me back to tell me it would be another week. I don’t even have my results back yet and I already don’t trust counsyl or the results. I do not recommend using them.

We did the cell-free DNA screen with them. Sent my sample on Thursday morning, they received them Friday. We got our results by email on Monday. This was an easy to understand file that downloads from their site. I highly reccommend Counsyl for any genetic testing needs.

Terrible billing process. Too much misinformation and conflicting information related to billing questions and costs. Very time consuming and frustrating in attempting to get facts about accurate costs and lab procedures. Check out other companies who also do genetic testing and accept insurance.

Scam. Myriad gives you one price upfront for cost of test then charges another. Do not use.

I have been trying to get in contact by phone and email with these ppl for over a week and no response. Im so pissed at these ppl I cant get my test results.

Terrible silly company. Messed up my sample. I do not recommend using them. There are better alternatives.

Terrible billing process. Extremely expensive, frustrating and time consuming. Wish I had never agreed to have this test done.
