NextCare Urgent Care Sherman

My symptoms - neck hurt and was slightly stiff (like pulled muscles). And I believed, I have the shingles (beginning stages), red rash looking on my right size of chest, shoulder and front and back of neck.Explained my symptoms 3 different times. I asked the lady FNP, did she read the file about my symptoms, if so why are you asking again? I stated, ok Im here because, I possibly have Shingles and pulled in muscles in my neck. Apparently that pissed her off.She sat on the other side of the area we were in. I told her about my neck, and the beginning stages of shingles. She said why do think that. I told her a had itch on my chest, and when I scratched that itch I hit one and it hurt.She stop me and said, shingles dont itch or spread. And ask me if I ever had the chicken pots, I said of course I had them as a child. So instead of me, telling her I was aware of the shingles there terrible pain, I said nothing and just agreed with her. I knew by her tone and body language, She was done with me and didnt need anymore information.She didnt even look at my red rash. She told me she would give me 2 shots (pain and steroid) and RX: cream and pills for pain. Thats for the terrible service for $215.00, (and that is with insurance but deductible hasnt been met). So 2 days later went to my doctor, because red rash is hurting and has blisters, and the cream is not working..why?Because its freaking SHINGLES! Just like I told her.

The staff treated me with excellent care!! Definitely will be back if needed!Thought I broke my big toe and after the x rays, found it to be just badly bruised 🙌🏻They offered me this shoe as well as a steroid shot for the inflammation. Super friendly staff!!Thank you for taking your time with me 😊

Impossibly wonderful urgent care experience. You employee wonderful nurses and amazing is what I have to say about practitioner Kathy Baxter. She was thorough and personable and professional. I made an appointment, it was on-time and the whole visit was great. I am feeling better and I appreciate all that the facility did.Now please build a Baylor Scott and White Mega facility in or near Sherman so we can have some decent Healthcare!Thanks!

The staff were very friendly! The front desk lady was very welcoming! The nurse let me know that my vitals were okay! I personally have never had any nurse tell me that. They are usually silent. I was in and out! Will definitely return if I have an emergency again! Will recommend this urgent care to everyone.

Easy to schedule, first time, same day apppointment. Easy to complete forms through text kink on phone prior to arrival. No long wait. Very professional and great communication. Provided all details verbally and in writing regarding treatment, medication and possible follow-up visit.Thank you for your excellent service for my son today!!!

Im not one for Google reviews, but this urgent care is the worst Ive ever been to. The staff up front has a condescending tone with anyone she speaks to, and acts as though our (patients) being here is an inconvenience to her. If you want to schedule an appointment, I recommend calling ahead and making sure they have more than one provide, otherwise youll be sitting in the lobby for an hour or more before youre seen.

When I walked in, I was not greeted by the receptionist. As someone who works in the medical field, the front office is the first person you see and makes for the experience. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is for the woman who took me back and did my vitals. She was very nice. The NP, I felt like I was brushed off. I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and had concerns but was treated for something completely different than my initial concern. This place needs to work on their customer service skills and actually listen to your patient.

I was a pretty sick walk-in. The service was prompt and staff was efficient and friendly. They answered all of my questions and genuinely cared about getting me taken care of. Kathy was fantastic! Shes very knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is clean and easy to find.

My experience was so good! So much that I’m going to see if I can make Kathy Baxter my PCP. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home and welcome. I get called back and the nurse was so nice and comforting. The doctor comes in and instantly reminds me of my mother in law. Looks just like her and is very nurturing like her. I was telling my husband about her and then I look at my prescriptions and come to find out her name is Kathy just like my MIL. What a coincidence, right? I just feel like I was meant to be there.

Nurse practitioner was wonderful as always. Front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Made an appointment for 8:40am, arrived at 8:20am for check in and waited an hour after my appointment time before being seen. Fainted while waiting due to overheating and requested an ice pack. Front desk staff handed it to me aggressively without making eye contact or even asking if I was ok. Waited another 30 minutes after fainting to be seen back to a room and had to lay on the waiting room floor. Front desk staff still did not show any concern or try to see if I was ok. If rating on NP and nurses I would give a 5star, but due to my horrible experience with front desk and long wait I have to lower the rating to accommodate.

Very good experience. I made an appointment online and filled out the registration items. Once there I was seen in a timely manner and was back out in my car within an hour of arrival. Front desk staff, check-in nurse, and Dr. (PA) were all caring and professional. My needs were addressed and treated. I will return should another need arise.

I have had a rash for over a week with intense itching. When I called this morning I was able to get through fairly quickly. Instead of getting an appointment I was told to just come in. We drove the thirty minutes to get there and then waited while others who were there before us were seen (no problem, first come first served) and those with appointments (problem, I wasn’t given an appointment). The care of the staff was great.

Don’t waste your time making an appointment online. Made an appointment for 11:40, 3 walk ins were called back before me and i was finally called back to have my vitals checked at 12:46. The front desk lady is rude and incompetent. The “doctor” on staff today never introduced herself and only said “test is negative” when she walked in to my room. Negative for what? What all was I tested for?! She took less than 10 seconds to look at my throat and ears and said “oh yeah you’ve definitely got some sinus stuff going on your poor throat is so red from all the drainage!” I then reminded her that I was having no drainage and that I had been coughing my head off for days. She said “oh that must be it then.”She recommended an antibiotic shot and a steroid shot (for what since I tested negative?) I waited another 30 minutes for someone to even bring those shots in. I was running a fever and freezing the entire time I was there.This is a medical facility where people are sick and spreading germs across the building and you have a doctor that can’t be bothered to share her name, let alone wear a mask to protect the patients from each other.Now- my biggest issue is the staff. No one has any sense of urgency and then when you ask for something, they’ll sit at their little station in the middle and talk trash about the patients. My room was right next to the station and I could hear them making fun of patients and calling them dramatic, including myself. We’re sick y’all.. that’s why we came here.After being in this office for over 2 hours (with an appointment) I was finally finished up and was hit with an $804 bill. I am a self pay patient but the front desk couldn’t tell me what was amounting to the astronomical cost. I was tested for something?, saw a doctor for less than one minute, and was given 2 shots.. $804.BSW needs to investigate this facility and should do a serious overhaul to its staff. I’d give 0 starts if it would let me.

Everyone at NextCare was friendly and professional. Wait time was short and everyone was efficient but thorough. Angie at the front desk greeted me with a smile and was wonderfully helpful. My issue was resolved quickly. I highly recommend NextCare for non life-threatening urgent medical needs.

The service was very great. The people working there are so delightful and uplifting. Yes the doctors explained things that I didn’t know what’s going on and she did a wonderful job. I’m thankful for the service I got there.

I normally go to the McKinney location, but I work in Sherman now, and I was feeling very bad yesterday. The front office lady is so kind and professional, she was able to work me in and I was able to get back to work failry quickly. Also when the nurse greeted me and took my vitals, she was knowledgeable and kind, and she was very good at giving injections in the proper area of the gluteal muscles.My favorite part of my visit was that you have a nurse practitioner at this location!! It’s difficult to find a good doctor, but I have always had very good experience with the NPs, the have a different way of assessing, diagnosing, and treating their patients. She was able to diagnose me appropriately , I didn’t have to tell her what meds to prescribe like I have always had to do with the MDs who didn’t know me well.I absolutely love this office and I will refer my patients to this location from now on. I am an Adult home Health and Hospice nurse, and no one wants to go to the ER for anything.I pray that you pay your staff appropriately so they don’t ever leave due to rising cost of living, like I experienced recently.

Took my son there when he was complaining of an ear infection. The staff was AMAZING they took such great care of him, and the place was super clean making the whole experience top notch. I would go to this urgent care over and over just by the top quality care from everyone involved. Super impressed and would recommend to anyone 👌

Calling to get an appointment was easy. The office staff was quite helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The PA that came in to treat me was another story. She had a mask on and did not speak distinctly. I had to ask her several times to repeat what was said. She asked ME if I wanted any lab work done. She said she would prescribe one antibiotic but called in 4 medicines to the pharmacy. One of which I can’t take because of my heart. She should have discussed all the medications. I was very disappointed with her, not the other staff.

Staff was very friendly. Nurse Practitioner was very thorough.Gave me 2 shots due to me still having Covid. Very friendly. Was glad I got her this time to help me feel better.

Had some serious sciatic pain this past weak which forced me to come in . I scheduled a last min appointment and to my surprise I was seen very fast they actually called me before my scheduled time . The receptionist was very nice and the two nurses in back made my visit feel like a visit with friends I remember one was Amanda Phoenix . Great staff great visit and highly recommend.

I have never been treated so rudely as yesterday by the receptionist at NextCare, Town Center. I am 82 years old and could not understand how to register using my IPhone. I asked several questions which she answered with deep sighs of impatience and rolled eyes. The last question I asked, she said, “You don’t listen very well do you?” I apologized for irritating her, to which she said, “You said you needed help, but you won’t listen.” At that point my husband and I left and drove to TMC Urgent Care, Denison, where we were treated kindly and compassionately. We both tested + for Covid and are now home recovering.Please don’t bother with the standard, “…We strive to provide exceptional service to all our patients”! If this were true, you would not tolerate such behavior from one of your staff for one moment!

Previously it’s have always been on point. This one started with the front desk overcharging me as if I had no insurance. I objected and she insisted she was correct. My co-pay for Next Care which is in my UHC network is $48 and I was charged $190. Same insurance I’ve used at this location before and been charged correctly. No idea how this will be resolved. The health provider prescribed 3 medications but only two were transmitted to my pharmacy. Of course the one I needed most was omitted. When I called Next Care today, I was told they would not be able to verify this until my provider returned two days from now even though it is clearly shown on the paperwork they provided me. This is unacceptable. Can no one else on staff verify that info? My actual exam was great!  Some better admin practices need to be in place.

They got me in fairly quickly even though their electricity went out for a minute.The doctors were quick and thorough. Treated me with the upmost concern and kindness to my needs. Great place to go. If you have to go.

I would give 5 stars but they sent my script to the wrong place. Called to let them know and it never got sent to my pharmacy and I had to call to have it transferred myself. The staff and doctor were very prompt and did their job well.

Absolutely amazing. Sadly I came here back to back days over the weekend! Slammed a weight on my toe then tested positive for covid! All the staff where amazing and funny and so helpful! Highly reccomend!

I called this morning. I needed to get in. I have had this cough for going on a week and did not feel good at all. I think it was getting worse so I made an appointment went in. Staff was extremely friendly. They got me in and out and short period of time would highly recommend this place.

I typically do not post reviews but I had to for this visit. Although the cost to get in was high because I had not met my deductible yet, it was totally worth it!! After struggling with persistent symptoms for over two weeks and feeling discouraged by previous visits to other doctors, I was relieved to find Dr. Baxter. The office was super quick to accommodate me without a long wait at all, and the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The nurse specifically was also amazing.Dr. Baxter’s expertise was evident from the start, as she quickly identified the source of my symptoms and provided a treatment plan that would hopefully bring me relief (extra mile!). Additionally, the facility was very clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive atmosphere.What I appreciated most was Dr. Baxter’s compassionate approach. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and ensure I left there with some sort of piece of mind. And let me tell you - I DID!In conclusion, my visit to Dr. Kathy Baxter was a breath of fresh air. If you’re looking for a doctor who is not only knowledgeable but also efficient, compassionate, and works in a friendly and clean environment, I highly recommend Dr. Baxter.

The scheduling process, front office, and intake with the nurse were great. The doctor/PA was disappointing. She didnt introduce herself or end the visit professionally. I came for an extremely painful toothache while on vacation so there wasnt much for her to do except prescribe antibiotics, but her whole attitude was lacking.

The wait was over an hour BUT it was my first time there and the staff was awesome! The Doctor listened to me and prescribed everything I needed! (I have poison ivy) They accepted my insurance (blue cross anthem) and my visit was only $30. Thank y’all! I will definitely use this Urgent Care again! I believe I saw Kathy Baxter - loved her!

Walked in and got seen right away. My son had a rash over most of his body. Dr. was very friendly and child oriented which was great. Gave medication in office until we got our prescription. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Very good people. Had knee issues and they wheeled me around in a chair and even helped.me.back into my chair. Pushed a payment plan package that I eventually took but werent overly insistent despite that I didnt have insurance. Would go back if had to hobble there again.

Care onsite was fine. Aftercare was bad. Office doesn’t answer phones. Ever. Didn’t send one of RXs to pharmacy and for two days couldn’t get phone answered. Voicemail says “can’t talk now due to call volume. Thanks and goodbye.” Ugh. So bad. Finally asked for billing in VM menu and got a national person who then called the local office for me. Not acceptable. Need to be able to contact personnel on site who provided care.

The nursing staff was very kind. Understanding , professional and concerned about my health. I was very pleased with the results . I was seen immediately no long waiting .

Called on Saturday 6/15 to get an appointment. Was told I could just do a walk in if I wanted. Told her I had a splinter in my foot that was just a little too deep for me to get without hurting. Came in on Sunday 6/16 bout 3:50 filled out paper work paid $55 for copay. No one was there so thought would get in fairly quickly. A lady came in that had appointment for 4:00 was probably there total 10 min. Sit and waited until about 4:50 finally got back, provider came in and was very rude asking what was the problem. When I told her, she was asking unrelated questions..asked why I waited so long to come in. My daughter told her it was hurting more and I was off that day, she hatefully said you only had 1 day off in a couple of months? Then proceeded to tell me we had a problem. That she would have to xray it and it would take an hour to get xray back (I had previously taken my husband there and had to have Xray didn’t take that long) then would have to lance it, then another Xray so I just needed to go to er and let them do it!! Really! I told her I paid $55 for nothing and she said well you was seen and you definitely have something in it. No kidding that why I was there. And if they did do an Xray it probably wouldn’t even pick up a splinter. So I wouldn’t advise going to that place. $55 later and still splinter in foot. I feel they need to give me a refund. I have contacted my insurance company. They are going to check into it.

The wait time was almost an hour. However, onece you finally nMake it to the back, they treat you like family. So, im a little torn. Thats why only 3 stars.

Took my 22 month old daughter and 1 month (2 months in 2 days) old son to this Urgent Care while we were in town visiting because they were both sick. Checked in receptionist let me know it’s a 2 hour wait. No big deal rather wait there than an ER. 2.5 hours go by and we finally get called back, get vitals done and then put into a room. Sit there for another hour. Finally the dr comes in. She didn’t knock on the door or anything just walked in and started listen to my sons lungs and heart then checked his ears and mouth. Still didn’t say anything or ask me what was going on. Then she moves to my daughter only listened to her lungs and checked her ears. Still didn’t say anything or ask what was going on. Then gets up and walks out saying she’ll be right back. 30 more minutes go by and the nurse comes in with discharge papers telling me to give my daughter this antibiotic. We proceed to ask what is even wrong with my kids because the dr just got up and walked out and didn’t say anything to us. The nurse then tells us that the dr was having a moment and almost passed out but that my daughter has an upper respiratory infection and didn’t diagnose my son just said to give him some over the counter meds. Come to find out the whole hour we were waiting on the dr to come in she was just sitting at the desk and then again just sitting at the desk when we were waiting on her to come in the room to proceed to examine my children. I will never recommend this place for anyone and will not be back with any of my children. I should of just gone to the ER.

Getting my child’s athletic physical was quick and easy! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back next year!

Very efficient, knowledgeable and the provider was amazing and explained my condition and treatment plan in a way I could completely understand. I will now use this Urgent Care facility exclusively.

When you first walk in, the front desk is empty even with a chime, the receptionist takes forever to show up. Also, this receptionist is in the wrong business. Never pleasant, very rough, and never welcoming. Whenever she is asked a question her responses are rude and argumentative, smart mouth with every word to myself and to every patient I saw walking in while I was there.The doctors however are always caring and professional, they are what kept us going back honestly. After giving the receptionist the benefit of the doubt from our previous visit, we will be finding a new urgent care.

My doctor was personable and took excellent care of my medical needs. I have seen her 2 times now and am very happy with her care

Developed an ear infection the day before starting my new job. Needed a miracle to ensure that I could perform and the universe delivered! The doctor and staff were knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and kind. Honestly, much better service than I’ve ever gotten from my primary care doctor.

Thought I had Covid. I made appointment on line and got in at 8am. I was evacuated quickly. Good experience even though I was feeling crummy.

Injury to arm from a rusty piece of reebar. Wait time 5 mins and recd a Tenanus and Rocephin injection and Antibiotics called in. Staff was professional and very courteous. From a nurse myself, 5 STARS all way around!! Highly recommend this provider!!

I went for a follow up appointment after being told that I had poison ivy~ I went back because my rash was worse after several days ~ the second visit after I paid my co-pay was told that I did not have poison ivy and that there was nothing they could do ~ told me to go to my dermatologist and let them look~ so I didDermatologist said that it was indeed poison ivy and I just needed a steroid shot and to stop taking all meds from my first visit at Next Care …. I’m very disappointed

Most of the staff are very nice but went in for an appointment at 9am didn’t get seen until 930 ish to check my vitals. Mind you there was only one or two walk in patients that was seen first than me. I’ve waited over an hour to get seen by the doctor. They could do a little better since they actually charged me first and that I had an appointment that doesn’t require a diagnosis or any sort. And the nurse or practitioner that actually seen me was busy talking a storm outside. She finally decided to come in and complete my appointment and she sounded a little smart about my exam.I told her I’m aware of my situation and the way she responded kind of made me upset but didn’t said anything. What I don’t understand is that you are here to do your job not talk obnoxiously loud while your patients can hear you and are waiting.

The service was very good..The courteous greeting from the receptionist and the nurse was very welcoming...The nurse was attentive to my health concerns..The Docter was very professional in handling my illness and recommended the best treatment...This is the kind of service a Urgent Care facility should provide. Awesome job 👏

My daughter had something wrong with her, I made the appointment & got right in. Everything was fast & easy. I would HIGHLY recommend this office to anybody that asks.

Nurse Amanda was amazing with my toddler. The facility is very clean and there wasn’t much of a wait on Saturday, I was the only one here.

Received call from my daughters school that she was running fever and not only I pick up my kid and take it to see dr during my break. Highly recommend this place. Dr is very knowledgeable and understanding.

Was told I didnt need to make an appointment and that I could walk in before 7:30.Walked in at 7:00 and was told they could not take any more walk ins because they were too busy.1 person in waiting room.HORRIBLE PEOPLE.

I took my daughter to NextCare for ongoing excruciating jaw pain. This was the third time my daughter had been seen at that location. We saw Kathy the Nurse Practitioner who was wonderful. She took an xray and diagnosed the issue which had previously been wrongly diagnosed. We received the correct medication and information about continued care and my daughter is doing much better. The facility was clean, the support staff and nurse were very nice and supportive. I highly highly recommend and suggest you as for Kathy the Nurse Practitioner.

From the lady who checked me in to nurse Amanda Phoenix and the provider Kathy Baxter, my experience at this urgent care was amazing. They gave me the care and support I needed in a very efficient and fun matter. They had smiles on their faces throughout.

The staff was super friendly even though we were the last one seen for the night. We didnt feel like they were rushing us out so they could get home. Such a great team!!!

This clinic is amazing. I dont understand any of the negative reviews. I cant say how great this place is from the time you walk in the door and all the way to the Dr herself. Listened to me and knew exactly what to do. I am a disabled veteran and its very difficult to get into the VA which theres no need to try when this place does all the paperwork and is contracted with the VA.

I had an appointment at 6pm and was not seen till 7:30pm. The waiting room was empty and they offered no explanation as to why the prolonged wait. The Dr was great, but the office organization was greatly lacking

I started going here because they accepted Medicaid when I had it. I couldn’t ever find an urgent care that did. I just had a visit & Kathy Baxter was my provider. I loved her! She was very knowledgeable & made her priority to ensure my care was safe since I’m still breastfeeding. The staff is also very kind & supportive. Would absolutely recommend!

The entire staff are very friendly and helpful. I love the FPN Kathy! She makes the entire experience fun. Shes very knowledgeable! The nurse that assisted was the same way. If you need to go to an urgent care, definitely go see them!!!

I’ve been to this facility twice now. Both times they took care of me. Top notch bedside manner and care.

Super service. Angie is efficient & professional. Her upbeat attitude is a better remedy than any prescription. Kathy was informative, through & very kind. It didnt feel like a walk-in clinic, it felt like a family practice.

I brought my child in for an allergic reaction and waited in the lobby for 30 minutes. The lobby was empty when the receptionist looked at me and told me we had to put on a mask. I explained that we do not wear masks, and she told me to wait in my car. My appointment was in one minute and we had been sitting in the lobby for 30 and she could refuse the right to see my child having an allergic reaction. I asked her if she was refusing to see my child who had been waiting for 30 minutes and she would not respond. I asked her again and she told me she was doing the right thing and not speaking to me. So I sat quietly, until she started yelling at me again for not putting a mask on. I told her not to speak to me, as she refused to answer my question.The supervisor came to get us and we had no other issues after. Hopefully they

I have had such headaches and woes trying to find a new local doctor after mine had passed away a year ago. The demand here for doctors is high, but the supply isn’t quite there. It’s a real headache. So glad I found this clinic. They scheduled me for an appointment THE SAME DAY, just days before Christmas. Trust me, around here, your lucky to get into a doctor a month after calling to schedule your appointment. I understand growing pains, but it’s a genuine pain in the a#*. I got a shot, a script and a referral within the hour.Even more, times are financially difficult. The program they offer was achievable. I’m sure others would understand the relief that can give a person.

Great service! I was a walk-in so those with an appt went before me even though I was there before them which I understood! Professional service. I liked the place!

I absolutely love this place, this is the second time I’ve taken my kids for sick visits and both times we have had the pleasure to see Cathy and she is amazing, she takes her time to explain things and you can tell she truly cares about her patients. I definitely recommend this place they are also very fast.

I’m a teacher and it was my first day back to work for professional development. My sister was watching my kids and took them to Urban Air. When I went on lunch I was alarmed at the message from my husband telling me to call him it was important and missed calls from him and my sister. I knew it was the kids. My son had hit his head and it looked like he needed stitches. By the time I met up with them he wasn’t bleeding and he seemed fine besides the gash. So I called a pediatric urgent care first and turned out they didn’t take my insurance, so I looked up the closest urgent care to me which was PrimaCare. I called and Amanda answered the phone. I told her what we needed to be seen for and checked to make sure they did take our insurance. She said they could see him but they were booked and maybe they could fit him in later that day... the point of urgent care is that it’s urgent and you’re not supposed to wait for stitches. In a very accusatory tone she asked me why I didn’t want to take him to the ER and exactly how he hit his head (seemed to be implying I had something to do with it). I tell her that the ER is a $500 copay (plus whatever else insurance doesn’t cover which I didn’t add) and urgent care is $50. She then begins asking me specific medical questions and tells me he might need a brain scan. Amanda is not a dr or a nurse. I asked later when I called back to let her know how I felt about the “help” I received. She finally says “Well bring him in, I guess.” As if I’m being neglectful to my child for choosing urgent care. In that moment I knew I wasn’t taking him there! I decided to go South, we usually go to Mckinney but there was an urgent care in Anna. They got him in quickly, he got two stitches I paid the $50 copay and apparently I guess I am actually a capable parent because, he didn’t need to go to the ER and he’s perfectly fine now! No thanks to Amanda at PrimaCare!I added pictures to show how easily they could have treated him. It was not Amanda’s job to give me medical advice or to tell me where to take him. I asked if they took our insurance and an urgent care should be prepared to take walk ins for situations like ours. I do not go to the ER unless it’s an emergency. He didn’t need an ER he needed urgent care but Amanda wanted to accuse me of being a neglectful mother for simply seeking the appropriate care. Without even seeing what the situation was.

The nurse at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer. She’s amazing. Both nurses actually were very nice! I came in at almost close, in a bind, with a blown out ear drum and they got me right in. The doc is one of the best time seen in a very long time. Very respectful. Soft spoken. Truly cares for your well-being.

I have now visited about 4 times, but upon my first visit I was very pleasantly surprised! :) The entire place was clean & tidy, I did not have to wait a lifetime, all staff was incredibly sweet, the nurse & doctor listened to all my questions and really helped find the right solution for ME! I was incredibly happy and have continued that feeling for every following visit. Great job Urgent Care :)

My appointment time didnt matter I was there at 210 appointment at 220 they took patients back that had appointments at 245 before me.

I got in within two hours of deciding I needed to be seen. Reception, Amanda and then Kathy were all amazing. The care and attention was way better than I ever expected. I will go here again. Thank you!

First off, I liked the touchless checkin. I was able to use my phone to fill out the “paperwork”. I didn’t have to wait long, maybe 10 min. The nurse that called me back was very thorough and super friendly. After she took my vitals, I waited only 3 minutes for the PA. She was a hoot! She was professional, friendly and hilarious. I wasn’t feeling good at all and she listed my spirits by making me laugh. ☺️ She insured me that treatment plan she gave will make me feel a lot better. She even had a back plan if I didn’t. I always feel if there’s smiling employees then it must be a good place to work. The facility was clean and well laid out. They also took my insurance. After I left I instantly downloaded their app and recommended it to a family member. I will continue to go here for my urgent care needs. ☺️👏🏻

So Ive been here twice now, the first time every time I took a deep breath, something was taking my breath away. I never once said I had back spasms, I thought it was pneumonia or something. The person treating me said my lungs were clear, so it was probably something wrong with my ribs. The person who was treating me ordered a steroid shot and an antibiotic shot just in case she told me she was going prescribe some steroids, antibiotics, and some ibuprofen for the pain. I informed her I only had one kidney due to cancer years ago, and she changed the ibuprofen to Tylenol with codeine now you would think that someone would write, that I only have one kidney in my file. If they did, the person I saw today didnt read it. She prescribed a high dose ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer. I feel they just rushed me through like a fast food restaurant and dont care.I dont go to the doctor until I cant stand the pain, or it just doesnt heal. I wont be back.

So i came here for workers comp injury. They took two hours to process everything and then for my follow up at 1 on a sunday. Im still aitting in the waiting room 20minutes later. If i missed an appointment they would charge me. Only 1 patient in front of me. There excuse was they have seen 30 people. If i make an appoinment i keep it. Had no problems my first two visits personally. Dont know what has changed

I’m a returning patron. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the place smelled clean . Each time I visited I received excellent care. (Remember, this isn’t a fast food place, it’s an urgent healthcare facility, so make your expectations appropriate.) They are very convenient with the online check in and even more so on a return visit. I’m so glad my doctor’s office suggested them for when I need care outside of their office hours, that doesn’t require an emergency room visit. I was in and out very quickly! Everyone was very nice and had a smile.. Kudos to you all for filling a gap in healthcare needs. Well, done!

Went here for my daughter. The staff is amazing. Everyone was sweet and kind. The doctor was beyond nice and took time to explain everything. My daughter felt safe and comfortable and she doesnt even like doctors offices usually. I didnt feel rushed but they were still quick. Easy in and out. The whole place was clean and warm. I highly recommend this place. Again.. it is amazing and would give more stars if I could.

The staff was extremely friendly! The nurse was smiling and was very patient with my son. When the doctor came in she spent a lot of time trying to help get to the bottom of my sons issue. Overall, we are very pleased with the staff and service we received.

This evening I scheduled an appoinment to take my son here as we have used them the past year. Which it had been wonderful until tonight really last night as I called and asked if they could change the patient as I had entered me instead of my son. She said no I would have to cancel and redo I said so you cant cancel and add my son she said no. I have done this before and they chnaged it. So I canceled lost the time slot and did for today! We walked in and checked-in then about 4 min later the lady up front rudely said he needs a mask on (so if he did have COVID or the FLU then I would need one too) I said really why its for sinuses she said its the policy (hence another patient in with no mask) then the two ladies up front not wearing mask properly and then says you can take off when you go in the back! LIKE WHAT? SINCE when? He had no fever and mask dont even WORK! We LOVE LOVE Kathy, the nurses and the girl that they had working up front which she was not there tonight! If its a policy then the whole place needs to wear a mask and wear it CORRECTLY! AGAIN the NP is AMAZING!

Not great but not the worst.Pros. Staff was friendly. I received some of the meds I needed.Cons. They dont test for rsv, which Im pretty sure its what was going on with me but I wanted to know for sure. They dont do B12 shots. As a busy mother and business owner, I need the things that help me carry on and didnt get that here. The wait was a bit long.Overall Ill probably look for another urgent care for future illnesses.

Daughter came here for a COVID test for work and they were all so kind!

Was a little put off by the slow/long wait, but in reality I only waited about an hour. I had 4 people in front of me when I got there. But the treatment once I was back in a room was great! They treated me, then sent me home with multiple prescriptions I might need, instead of being stingy with them. I had steroids, antibiotics, cough syrup, and nausea meds given to me. Plus they gave me a steroid shot and an antibiotic shot to get me going a little faster. I appreciate that, as I’d rather be better faster than later. I’ve been to other places who absolutely won’t give you anything or won’t give you choices on what works better for you. I had a choice in cough meds. I’ve used one before but that one just does not work for me at all. So the Dr. gave me the choice of those or the syrup. I left feeling like I was adequately taken care of/treated, as well as well prepared with meds for any symptoms I was having or might soon have. I would recommend this urgent care to everyone. Yes the wait is a tad too long, but I’d take that over a short wait with less than appropriate treatment.

NextCare is amazing! I walked in without an appointment and the front desk lady was so sweet. Told me not to worry, they would work me in. My pain was so severe she got me a wheelchair and helped to make me comfortable. Once they called my name the nurse and the doctor were very efficient in getting me in the back, getting x-rays and medications called in to get me on my way! Very compassionate staff - THANK YOU!

I felt horrible when i went in, but my dr and nurse were amazing!! They were able to help me and get me everything that I needed to help me recover. I am so thankful for both of them!!

Front office all the way up to the doctor first time here and I was feeling horrible. Super super quick amazing service Doctor was so sweet knows what she’s doing and got me in and out so quick left the office a couple hours ago and im already feeling better !! Thank you ladies keep up the smile and making us feel better. Definitely will be back! Wish it was a regular physician totally switch my doctor now if they were lol. Thank you ladies ❤️

The staff working today on March 28, 2023 or some of the most nicest people I’ve ever experienced at front desk service was outstanding, kind patient and willing to help the nurse and the doctor bedside manners were extremely exquisite. Some of the best character had in my life, I definitely recommend this location and just staff is one of a kind. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Concerned for medical malpractice.Homeopathics and essential oils were recommended. The provider said his ears and lungs looked good.Got a second opinion at TPG pediatric urgent care and they prescribed antibiotics and a nebulizer. The blonde lady working the front desk also had is wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment and took a copay from us BEFORE letting us know that care would be limited since they dont see patients under a year old. I told her I just needed his ears and lungs checked out and she said they could do that. Wish I hadnt trusted her. Glad we got a second opinion.

We went in to have my daughters arm x-rayed because we suspected it might be broken. They were very detailed and comforting. The person checking in called our insurance to verify some things and the nurse laughed with my daughter and put her at ease. They were quick and professional. I have been to the ER several times in the past and I’ll say if given a choice I go to the Urgent care before the ER.

After having a bad experience with an urgent care provider in Frisco, TX, I was hesitant to try again. I had a great experience with NextCare today. I had an issue related to allergies that needed attention without waiting a week to see my primary. The online appointment was easy, the front desk, nurse and PA-C were all professional and friendly. There was no attempt to add unneeded services to pad the billing as my previous experience with an unrelated urgent care in Frisco. I recommend this clinic in Sherman to families or individuals. Be sure and do you research online before going to an urgent care clinic. Some are very bad some are very good. They also accepted my Blue Cross insurance. Thank you for helping resolve my problem today.

Loved being able to schedule an appointment and have it honored first thing in the morning. Everything was seamless from check in to assessment. Felt listened to and taken care of. Highly recommend.

The nurses and Dr’s are super friendly and knowledgeable! They were patient and listened attentively to what we were saying! We LOVE this location. They are super quick but thorough.

I visited the clinic on Saturday morning of the holiday weekend and didnt have to wait very long to be seen. The nurse assistant and Kathy the NP who treated me were both very understanding, kind and compassionate. I received a shot, prescription and was out the door in less than an hour. I will definitely go back. Thank you for making it so easy and hassle free.

Prior to coming to the appt, I spoke with my insurance company about how to handle payment at an urgent care as I’d never been to one and was near my out of pocket max for the year. My insurance company said my policy is a do not pay at the time of service policy. Says it right on the card. She said don’t let them talk me into paying anything and if they insist, they’re crooked and to leave.Well…guess what happened?Charlatans. Stay away.

The staff was welcoming and friendly, even though we were walk-ins. They took care of our needs, and diagnosed our conditions in a professional manner. They explained our conditions and what our next steps should be. I appreciated the time they took with us. We felt as if the staff really cared for us.

I brought my almost 2 year old in because he had been running 104 fever for several days and it would come and go even after ibuprofen. I thought he may have had a uti. They did covid, flu, and strep test and all came back negative. Nurse Practitioner (if you can call her that) Jamie Brantely checked his ears for like 2 seconds and says she didnt see anything. His final assessment was Viral infection and contact with and suspected exposure to covid. He hadnt been in contact or exposed to covid. She just kept saying he probably has a virus. I finally took him to pediatric urgent care in Denton the next day and he has a bad ear infection in his left ear. It was found almost immediately because the nurse actually throughly checked him. I will not ever go back to next care. They DO NOT know how to do their job properly. I would give 0 stars if I could.

On our way through. We knew we would not make it home from our trip to go to our normal urgent care. So, we stopped here and will not do that again. We checked in 3 hours ago. We were supposedly next forever but here is the thing if the app says one person In Front of you do not assume you are next as that one person could have five people in their family the app does not show a per person status. At this point the other kid has missed her important medication treatment but it is what it is.Then they have appointments that trump you so let me give you an example you show up at 2 but someone sitting in their car makes an appointment at 2:30 let’s say same time as you they apparently still trump you even if you walked in before them. They should say that because if you walk in you can make an appointment and save yourself the trouble lol

I have never used an urgent care facility, but it was a Sunday and my regular medical facility was closed. The receptionist was very kind and helpful at getting my paperwork completed. The nurse was very knowledgeable and helpful at getting me checked in to see the Dr.Dr. Lavoy listened to my description of symptoms and his diagnosis and prescriptions were 100% correct. I started feeling better within two days of taking the prescriptions and following his orders.

Very good professional care givers. They care about their patients. Not in a hurry to herd you through and get to the next waiting patient they listen and take time to come up with a good care plan. Highly recommend

The front desk lady was so kind and helpful. She made it easy to get checked and feel cared for. The wait took a while, but for a three person team, it was quick! 14 people ahead of me in line and was able to get in two hours later. Doctor and nurse were friendly as well!

Was taken as a walk-in. Sure it took a bit of time, but the PA that saw me took the time to treat me like a real person and now I honestly feel healthier within 24 hours of seeing them. Thanks for the extra care.

Long wait even after checking in online but I would rather wait for a thorough NP or doc to get what I need to feel better than one quick trip left with nothing. My checkins have been much quicker but even if they werent I would still choose this place every single time. The nurse and doctors have always given me just what I need. Decided to try this place again after going to , McKinney when needed. Now to check in you have to scan a qr code and navigate an app, reminds me of self checkout at Walmart. The receptionists job seems to tell everyone there is a long wait since you dont have an appointment, sorry I didnt schedule my allergic reaction to a wasp sting with you. The wait is ridiculously long, If I wanted to wait 2 hours I would have been better going to the ER. Probably faster....

These ladies were so sweet. I will go there again. Especially if they are there.

I have worked in the healthcare field and I can honestly say, the staff at this place understand beside manner and compassion. I cannot even begin to tell you how critical that trait is in 2022 (given how many medical facilities today treat individuals like another random number in a line). The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and listened to all my concerns. The staff and nurses were all so friendly. Highly recommend going here in the event of an emergency or an urgent need.

Very friendly. Clean! Very well kept. Front desk extremely friendly. Check in was also extremely friendly. Once in my room the wait was a little long but they did check ins, so I didnt mind at all. I was in an immense amount of pain due to sciatica. I am incredibly grateful that they were able to help me and treated me with care. I felt I was listened to and treated for the issue I was having.

Call before you go!! I made an appt online in the morning and when I got there they said there was no Dr. available until the afternoon. Poor customer experience!!! We went to center for family medicine and got in right away.

This was my first visit to Prima are in Sherman, Texas. What a wonderful experience, from reception to technician/nurse to doctor! Everything was pristine clean inside. Absolutely everyone that helped me was calm, professional, caring and listened. They ran three tests for me and had the results for each test while I was still there. The paperwork that I was given was easy to read and follow. I will certainly go back and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Our primary doctor is not very close by, so this PrimaCare is perfect for immediate/urgent medical needs. We are grateful they are here!

This place is always amazing. Front desk clerk is friendly and nice. The NP and nurses are efficient quick are great. Booking appointments are easy and they always take care of my son and I so well. I will always use them when I need an urgent care.

My spouse has had a low-grade fever off and on for weeks. When it hit 102 today, we headed to Urgent Care. The Dr. is wonderful! She is caring, funny and had him diagnosed with a sinus infection within minutes. We really appreciate the convenience of this clinic and the care from the staff!

Walked in on a Sunday Morning. The wait time wasn’t bad, and all the staff were helpful and kind.

So thankful we chose NextCare Urgent Care. My daughter had bicycle accident and was in pain, so we immediately brought her in to get checked out. We were taken in right away, had X-rays done and shown her broken arm. Dr. Timothy and both nurses went above and beyond to give exceptional quality care the moment my little girl came through the doors to when we left. I highly recommend this Urgent Care to be a first choice.

I am a retired RN I have worked in health care for over 50 years and I have not seen this kind of care from each and every one of staff members The front desk, nurses, lab and doctor. I wish you guys could go to other doctors offices, hospitals, clinics etc to give lessons on how things should be done. You did it with grace, dignity, andprofessionally. I couldnt have asked for better treatment. I have been a patient and have been the nurse caring for patients in so many areas but never a better place than yours. Keep up the good work. I wish every patient could experience this type of care and the attitudes along with it. I felt terrible when I got there, but coming out I felt so well cared for and had to let you know. Wonderful staff! I came in with a laceration recently, and they went above and beyond to help clean it up, make sure I was up to date on my tetanus, and glue it back together. They are all so sweet and caring, and we have never had a bad experience every time we’d had urgent care needs in our family.

Another visit to the clinic for further treatment. I go here for any urgent needs i have. Several years now. I wasnt rushed and was comfortable with the care provider. A clean and well organized environment. Kindness and professionalism top of my list. Medical staff is exceptional.

It was a last minute decision to go to doctors due to me thinking I had strep for the past day. I called the 800# confirmed they accepted my Insurance and then headed to the office because they told me it was walk in hours. I walked in at 2:30pm the front desk lady told me next available appointment was at 4:30pm. She asked me for my info and told me I was getting a text to Pre register for the appointment. Before I had gotten back to the car I received it and filled it out. Got back at 4:15 checked in and filled out 1 more form and then waited. The Lobby was clean, and inviting. My appointment was at 4:30, I was called back by 4:55. Walked into the pre check in room with the nurse Ashlynn who was so nice and she treated me great!! Got me checked in and brought to a room and within moments I was greeted by the amazing Doctor. They had reviewed, discussed , diagnosed and had meds ready for me all within 15 mins of me being there! I will definitely be using this urgent care again for myself and my family and would recommend it to everyone I know!! Thank you again for your attentiveness and kindness when I was not feeling well. Y’all rocked!!!!

Courteous prompt compassionate handled my financial and medical issue privately. Very clean restrooms and both the rooms I went in for Immaculate. The receptionist the nurse and the physician were exemplary and took care of my complaint immediately. I did not feel rushed and they let me speak how I felt and what was my concerns very respectful. Definitely would recommend it

Had a sore throat an irritating cough. Made an appointment online, prefilled necessary information. Showed up twenty minutes early and was ushered to the diagnosis area almost right away. The PA gave me the results and we discussed treatment.All is now good.

A recent visit to this location was an absolute nightmare. Took a loved one there and Amanda was belligerent and accusatory. She also presents herself as a nurse even tho she is only an MA. She and the NP Kathy Baxter scared my loved one that was brought there for them to accurately diagnose and treat. I was yelled at and accused of things they know nothing about. They made a ridiculous diagnosis that the pcp laughed at. And why is an MA telling us someone needs surgery? Didn’t know they were qualified to decide that.

Visiting from out of town and my son developed a sinus infection. Hes little so naturally, he was terrified of going in. The staff here was so kind and attentive to him. He was actually giggling during our visit. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Not too long of a wait for walk in.,which I was. Everyone was super friendly and down to earth. Doctor was thorough and knows how to connect with his patients. Will definitely use again and highly recommend.

Great experience! I have a bad sinus infection and thought I had strep. Dr. went above and beyond just giving me some anabiotic‘s. He also gave me steroids to get better faster as well as allergy medication to stop it from happening in the first place. The fact that the urgent care Dr actually bothered to look out for me not having to come back, meant the difference. And all of that super fast! I was impressed.

Made an appt online for a time within 2 hours. I arrived and was immediately greeted. My wait was about 5 minutes before I was taken back. The doctor was in to see me about 5 minutes later. Overall was in and out in about 30 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back.

Everyone was nice. The doctor came in within 15 minutes of my appointment. He was friendly and took time to listen and explain things, but it took 30 minutes after that to get my shot. The app didn’t show them to be especially busy, but maybe some don’t show up on the app. The nurse was nice and apologized.

Very nice facility, friendly staff. Everything was streamlined so well, electronic paperwork, finished in minutes and to the back very quickly. The service was prompt and checkout was easy. Grateful for this urgent care on a day I was not feeling my best!

We have had to use this office twice in one week. Both times were great. The last visit was with my 5 year old that was scared because he had only ever seen his pediatrician. The whole office was great with him! The exam was very thorough and they took excellent care of my son and husband.

They were nice and listened to my needs and helped out. Way better than the last urgent care I went to.

This was a great option for the weekend when my doctor’s office was closed. I was in and out very quickly and the staff was great.

I like the convenience of scheduling my appointments online. I just think they need to not take the walk-ins back before the people with scheduled appointments. This defeats the purpose of scheduling an appointment ahead of time.

Called on a Wednesday to make sure they take our insurance. Made an appointment for Thursday. Sat for an hour waiting in the waiting room only to be told they don’t take our insurance. Be aware the front desk is incompetent.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. We were in town for a wedding and our 13 month old came down with an ear infection. We walked in to the clinic an hour and half before they closed and they took care of us quickly and kindly. All three staff members that we came into contact with were friendly and truly wanted to help us. I have never had such a great experience at an urgent care.

If I could give negative stars I would, I visited this location today 09/24/2022 and here is what happened to me.....I went in for a boil that had come up under my arm. The front office staff and nurses were awesome. The doctor on the other hand was not. He came in and was like oh your back. For context I went in in early August to get stitches removed after I had gastric sleeve surgery out of the country. I told him yeah but not related to my previous surgery. He then asks if Im planning on getting skin removal surgery, I told him yeah and Im planning on saving for it. He then says I should look into the TV show My 600 LB Life, and that they might pay for the surgery for me. I was so embarrassed, he then asked what my weight was and I told him it was 445 before surgery in July and I was 381 today and he said oh yeah your weight should still qualify you for the show.I have never been so embarrassed in my life yet angry at the same time that he would walk in and say that to me. After this he finally starts talking about the reason I am actually at the urgent care and he does not even touch the area. He only looks at it with a light and says I need a referral to dermatology and that he cant do anything about it. How is it possible to know that without touching the bump to see what it actually is. I was beyond frustrated, he left and came back with my discharge papers and then again reminded me to look into the TV show. Needless to say I will not be back to this location and will be telling anyone I know about this doctors bedside manner. No one should be talked to like that.

I went in yesterday after scheduling an appointment, and the wait was ridiculously slow. They told me to come in 10 min prior to my appointment time and I didn’t see a doctor until an hour and 15 minutes after I arrived. The nurse and doctor were fantastic and very nice. When I went to check out and tried to use CareCredit (which you guys take) the front desk lady told me she didn’t have her information to log on to the CareCredit website and she told me I’d have to wait and receive my bill. Never had that happen before...

I like how I can get in to be seen quickly. However, theres a receptionist whom gave me bad vibes & seemed a little rude yesterday a little after 1pm. I was so glad that the receptionist I saw today when I went in for my appointment was very kind. She always is. I just wish I would have been given some antibiotics to clear up my acute sinusitis but Im grateful for the steroid shot that I received. Hopefully I wont need antibiotics. I feel horrible.

From the moment I walked into the office, I knew I was in good hands. Everyone was so friendly and kind. The receptionist greeted me by name, the nurse put me at ease, and the PA was thorough and empathetic to my pain. So thankful to have quality affordable care on a Sunday!

Walked in with chest pain. Took me 20 minutes to sign in. Lady behind counter said it’s gonna be like 75 dollars. All I had was twenties and no card. She refused service because she couldn’t make change. The medical field is dropping the ball. I might die and I want y’all to know it’s gonna be on that ladies hands

Ive gone here three times now. The booking process is easy, as is filling out forms at home. I like that they have you wait in your car until theyre ready for you. Id prefer that to sitting in a waiting room full of sick people. The place is clean, the staff is super friendly, and they always take care of me.

12/10 would not recommend going here if you don’t have an appointment. Even if you walk in an hour before close and you’re only requiring something simple like a prescription for antibiotics. It clearly states on their website that even if you do not have an appointment they accept walk-ins UNTIL CLOSE… not that they only accept walk-ins if time allows. The receptionist did not clarify this when I initially went in and became defensive and rude when I stated what the website said. She also did not ask what my symptoms were to know if there would be enough time. She stated that there were no appointments left for the day and they would not see me without one. Again, contrary to what the website states.

There was a wait even with an online appt, but that happens at every drs offices. The staff was really nice and once we were in the back it was super quick. The urgent care is a little inconvenient for us, but it’s way better than the one that is closer to our pharmacy.

Very caring staff who spent time with you. We did not have to wait hours to be seen. Will be using them again if the need arises.

Made appt. Walked in amd woman who made previous appt was still waiting. She got there early for her scheduled appt and had been waiting 2 hours SO FAR. I canceled my appt.

******* x ♾️ THATS how many stars the people fighting the good fight at NextCare in Sherman deserve! I have been there over 6 times and consistently from the smiling eyes that greet you (remember to mask up yall it just makes sense) to the wonderful intake nurse who has the most dangerous job of all swabbing all of our nasty noses and throats, to the Drs who quickly make assessments that save lives, they are consistently amazing ,kind, warm, and helpful. Please next time you get sick and need attention now check them out, they never disappoint. :)

Made an appointment for 12:00 so I could stop in during my lunch break. Sat in the waiting area for 2 hours. Whats the point of making an appointment if its still a 2 hour wait? Next time Ill just drive down to McKinney, that will probably be faster.

I’ve yet to ever wait more than 15 minutes, even in the height of Covid testing. Every single staff member - receptionist, nurse, etc has always been super polite, professional, and kind. I love being able to make my appointment and check in online. This is my go-to place now when I don’t feel great, even above my regular doctor’s office!

When I went here the doctor I saw was Timothy Lavoy. Very unprofessional and incompetent person. When I was his patient he was snide, rude, sarcastic, and borderline hostile. Also, he claimed he would prescribe medication for my condition, but never did. He still charged me for medication I never received. I had to wait over an hour to be seen. Overall a horrible experience, and I will never go back to that medical center.

I drove 30 miles from Durant to Sherman because no urgent care centers near me were accepting any more patients for the day.The wait was about average for an urgent care but the facility was nice and very clean. The staff was thorough and friendly and didnt me feel like I was putting them out even though they were there an hour after closing to see all their patients. I would definitely drive the 30 miles again, even if local centers were accepting patients.

The front receptionist was super sweet as well as the nurse. The FNP Kathy was excellent and thorough. Was in and out for an urgent care. My appointment was at 8:40am left around 9:10am

Do not go here!!! Quack!!Came in with diarrhea and vomiting. Dr diagnosed me with a sinus infection; I had no symptoms of a sinus infection. Went to my PCP following Monday and I did and do not have a sinus infection and was told not to take the medicine prescribed. Wow!! I had/have stomach bug and didn’t need the antibiotics prescribed. Funny thing is when I was at this quack place I overheard the nurse arguing with the DR about why he is diagnosing me with sinus infection and prescribing me the medicine, she advised the DR that it was totally out of scope and not procedure and it won’t work for me. Wow

I was in and out within an hour. Care was fantastic.Clinic was clean and efficient. All the staff were fantastic. I love that Ednah Silmon, FNP listens to me about my illness and prescribed minimal RX. I highly recommend!

This place is absolutely amazing. Everyone there is so nice and they’re pretty quick also! They make sure they take care of whatever problem you may have. I’ve had to come get twice in one week and they made my situation less stressful for me and my child. Definitely recommend them!

I accompanied my husband twice to the NextCare Urgent Care in Sherman, TX for upper respiratory problems that he was dealing with for weeks. He is a veteran and because of his work schedule, he was unable to go to the VA clinic. The first exam was with Tim LaVoy, PA on 10/16/22. Mr. LaVoy has calm demeanor and had a good sense of what his respiratory issues were. The second time he was examined by Kathy Baxter, FNP on 11/4/22. They both were very nice and professional. Kathy Baxter ordered steroid and antibiotic injections given in the exam room. My husband had a good night sleep and his symptoms improved within 24 hours. I appreciate her medical knowledge and explanation of the benefits of the prescribed treatment. She is also quite funny and made us feel very comfortable 😊. The Medical Assistant (I forgot her name) was there both times. She has a pleasant personality and very competent in her job skills.My husband said I know where to go now. 🙂

Every time I make an appointment, we dont get seen for about an hour after the appointment time. Its ridiculous. I appreciate the care the providers give and thats why this isnt a 1 star review.

The staff were very friendly even in a stressful situation of being understaffed. The Dr was very kind to my daughter and asked her many questions to make sure she understood how she was feeling to make sure she was taking care of her. Thank y’all.
