NextCare Urgent Care Shelby

Wonderful service! I went for a serious coffee burn. I did not wait but 10 min to be called to a room. The nurse listened to not only my concern but also shared conversation about my husband who has great Hospice care.Dr Godwin was exceptionally kind, thorough, and explained what I needed to do forthwith.I was impressed with their care and timeliness!

I want want to thank the wonderful staff at NextCare in Shelby. They were absolutely the best. I was treated very quickly. And received adequate care. I will recommend to everyone. Thank you so much NextCare! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Short wait time today. Excellent provider who listened and answered questions. Staff is very friendly. Have been battling a sinus infection since November. The last anabiotic I was placed on had no effect when I went yesterday to next Care, the nurse practitioner was very caring friendly listened and explained things. Prescribed a new antibiotic and so far everything seems so good. The lady at the reception desk was extremely friendly as well.

Great medical service from provider named MATT.However this if in reference to Stephanie at the front desk and manager Niki P.I came today to request documents. By the end of the visit, I requested a corporate phone number to make a report or complaint about the front desk worker as well as the manager. The manager refused to give me any contact information and said that there’s no one to make a contact about her. I was told if I needed to make a report about the manager that I needed to make the report to the manager. At that point when I’m writing these things down, they say that I am violating other clients rights for standing in a spot that they, Stephanie and Nicki, told me to stand in. So they were violating customers rights, and then they wanted to blame me for violating customers rights when all I did was follow directions.Currently waiting to hear back from corporate. I had to research and find their contact information myself.

The staff that Ive met have all been wonderful. They had me in and out in no time too. I would definitely come back if I need their services in the future.

Nurses and Dr was very friendly. Treated me with great respect. Checking was great. Wait time was no more that 10-15 mins. Dr. came in very quickly. Explained everything where I could understand. Sent me to the hospital for more treatment. And even called me to make sure I made it to hospital and was receiving treatment. I couldnt ask for better care. I would recommend this office to anyone

Matt was super! He had an awesome bedside manner and took the time to explain all the details of what he was diagnosing my son with. Most providers nowadays do not take the time with you they should-they make you feel like just another sick patient. Matt really impressed me and will forever affect where I take my family when they are sick.

This place is pathetic. Make an appointment only to be sitting here an hour later. They announce that they are an hour behind on appointments AFTER you have been waiting a prolonged amount of time. Why schedule an appointment when you as the doctor/facility can’t abide to the times? Oh wait, I forgot. So money hungry that people waiting for unacceptable amounts of times doesn’t matter to a single person working in this building. There is no reason whatsoever that you as the patient shouldn’t be informed of the delayed scheduled THE FACILITY is on.

Walked into clinic with no appointment. All the staff was friendly. Short wait.The entire visit was very smooth.Diagnosed with pneumonia, confirmed by x-rays. Did round of antibiotics. Cleared up in two weeks confirmed by follow up visit.

I cant THANK them enough. I was having a hard time breathing. I walked in, filled out a short form, handed it in . A few short minutes later I was being seen and had a nurse taking vitals. It seemed like 5 minutes and I was in with the doctor and she knew how to help me. I walked out breathing normally and felt like me ! I got my first asthma treatment right there ! She set me up so I can be on my way ! Thank you so very much to the kind and caring staff !!!

Some of the people we talked to had a good bedside manner, while there were a couple that acted like we were wasting their time. My husband was supposed to have prescriptions called in, but our pharmacy never heard from them and the urgent care was closed when I called back to ask when the prescriptions were getting called in. Well probably use a different urgent care next time.

Dr. Matthew Goodwin is the best! He is always so kind and genuinely cares. Definitely will be be our choice of medical care as long as he is there!

The wait was the only downside. Once I was seen. Visiti went smoothly. The front desk receptionist was extremely nice and courteous. The nurse was AWESOME! Very professional and knowledgeable. The Physician was on point.

Let me just say that Matt Goodwin is absolutely one of the most amazing providers I have ever seen. Today I went to Next Care with what I thought was pink eye. He was suspicious because of some of my other symptoms and did a very thorough exam looking for an injury (he even used a black light). When he didn’t find one, he asked me to go to my eye doctor because he just didn’t feel comfortable diagnosing pink eye. HE then called my eye doctor to make my appointment, (he even came back to check if the appointment time was ok with me). He offered me water while I waited for an appointment and asked if I felt better after the numbing drops he used when checking for the injury. My gosh I just can’t say enough about how kind and competent he was. Thank you so much for excellent care.**Update: Turns out I did not have pink eye and in fact, I have iritis, so what a good catch that was by Matt Goodwin. My eye doctor was very impressed with his intuitive care.

The entire team was patient and so kind to my daughter (3) who was pretty scared about going to the doctor to have an object pulled out of her nose - it got up there by itself, of course. Regardless, we were all smiles at the end of the visit!

Came in for a dot physical nice friendly environment the nurse was fast and easy really made me feel welcome waited a hour to get the physical but then30 min to finish

I love this place they get you in and out. The doctors and nurses are very respectful and nice. I take my kids here and I’ve never had a problem

I appreciate being seen this Saturday. I was told that a new prescription will be written and send out to my pharmacy. I missed out on acquiring enough time to ask about the over-the-counter drug to take for my nasal congestion and sinus congestion for bacterial infection. I didnt receive a printout about my visit or about any over-the-counter drugs I may apply for my nasal congestion with bacterial infection.

The doctor, nurse and all the staff were great. They were quick to take care of my problem and to get me the help I needed.

The doctor rushed through my whole visit and never even checked my temperature after I explained to the nurse I thought I had a fever. She never even told me what my actual diagnosis was. I also asked the nurse to send my prescription to a certain pharmacy and they sent it to the incorrect one. Not a good experience at all.

The wait was longer than expected but the staff was friendly. The doctor helped me out a lot. I feel a lot better.

I wasnt having any problems. I just wanted to get my blood pressure checked. The staff was very friendly, The Doctors Care bedside manners and the nurses were all extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this provider.

I received excellent care in a timely fashion. The front desk staff were very kind and friendly. I didn’t wait but 3-4 mins before I was called to a room. The nursing staff was wonderful and listened to me with compassion. The physician I saw was very kind and caring. I had a great experience! Says a lot about their leadership. I will be back!

We were checked in super quick. The dr was super nice and actually got my daughter to give a strep swab without me holding her down. The nurse could maybe brush up on her children skills

Not good. They gave me no answers or help. No diagnosis was made and I am still sick. They gladly charged me and gave me nothing.

I had an actual appt at 11:00. Hour & half later the Dr told me she couldn’t do a refill on my antidepresant despite telling them that was the only reason for my visit. They better not bill my insurance. Also the waiting area isn’t clean at all. Go elsewhere!!

I made an appointment , they saw me within 15 min of the appointment . The nurse was pleasant and helpful - the Doc was great . Couldn’t have been any better.

Dr.Matt Goodwind, I hope I have his last name right, he is amazing he is extremely compassion, he make time to talk to you and understand, he makes you feel like a patient not a number, I didnt feel like I had to rush, every doctor should be like Dr. Goodwind

I went in thinking I just had strep, but it was much more serious. The staff out front were very helpful with insurance/payment questions and the physician that I saw was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful bedside manner. They got me a referral to ENT Carolina and everything was looked after in just a few short hours. Outstanding care! They also followed up in the evening to see if everything was taken care of.

Very impressed. Very thorough. I made an online appointment and we did not have to wait.

I made a same day appointment with no issue. Check-in was quick, I was called to the back within a couple of minutes. The staff were all very kind and attentive, which is sometimes an issue at other facilities. Ill definitely be back if I need a last minute appointment.

This Urgent Care is where I scheduled an appointment for a drug screening. When I arrived I was quickly greeted by Christina Phillips at the Front Desk; who was very professional and efficient. As soon as I provided my name, filled out paperwork, then John Preston the Nurse; just made this visit even more pleasant. John made sure I understood everything I was being examined on. John and Christina were so detail-oriented and I wish my visit at my own doctors office was this great. To take it a step further, Christina started assisting another patient who was elderly; I cant imagine who wouldnt want their visit to be at this NextCare location. :)

Matt is amazing. Listens and is thorough. To me physicians assistants are totally underrated.

I did a walk in because my knees and back were hurting real bad, so I decided to come to NexCare Urgent Care in Shelby, NC. The young lady at the desk was very friendly and patient. The nurse who took my vitals was patient and kind and listened to my issues. Now, Bianca, the physician, was great. She as well, listened to all my issues and she was very knowledgeable and cared about what I needed. She was friendly and understanding and very caring. I would refer anyone to this location in Shelby on Earl Rd, because the service is 5 star excellent!!! Thank you ladies☺️

I went to urgent care due to a pulled muscle in my back and an earache. When I arrive automatically checked in using the QR code on the door which was nice. I waited about 15 minutes prior to being seen by the nurse. She took my vital signs, and once I completed the urine specimen I was advised to sit in the room. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because number one. And I gave my urine specimen, my name nor date of birth were on the cup. I question this information should be annotated on the cup due to HIPAA and was advised I did not have to annotate it because the nurse would pull the specimen immediately once I placed it in the window. After I came out of the restroom, the nurse was nowhere to be found. I had to ask someone else which room I needed to return to. After sitting in the room for over an hour and 15 minutes waiting on the doctor and test results, the doctor finally came in the room. The doctor was really nice and attentive, but she seemed rushed as the urgent care lobby was filling up with more patients. I have been to this urgent care twice and this is the very first time they were delays. I would return again, but only if I have to. Make sure you schedule online because it will cut the weight in half. Lol! Thank you all for attending to my needs and the needs of others.

I really want to thank the doctor who saw me yesterday and addressed my medical concerns. I wish I knew his name. He answered all of my questions quickly and gave me the medications I needed to actually feel better for the first time in what seems like a long time. I went there with a pain in my side. I was told I needed to go to hospital and was charged 200 even though all they did was send me elsewhere.I was admitted and needed emergency surgery for my appendix.

Can’t give anything lower 😡. Heather Craig, nurse practitioner, doesn’t deserve to have any medical title. She doesn’t listen to the patient & treats you like you don’t know what you are talking about. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. THE OWNER OR MANAGER OF THE PLACE IS JUST AS RUDE😡😡😡. Go any place else but here

I can honestly say that I have found the best provider I have ever seen at my local NextCare in Shelby! Matthew Goodwin, PA, has been phenomenal with my entire family since we moved here 2 years ago. It is refreshing to find someone who takes the time to listen attentively, while being kind, compassionate, and thorough at every visit. Matt makes my children feel comfortable in conversation, enabling him to fully understand their symptoms; they never feel undermined. He addresses every single concern and answers all our questions so that we leave confident with our treatment plan. In fact, Matt has correctly diagnosed several illnesses that our PCPs and hospital practitioners have missed! He is prompt to report tests results, and often calls to check on us after visits because he is kind and truly shows concern. No other medical professional has made me so validated; he never dismisses my conditions as “rare” or “unlikely.” Since Matt has proven to be incredibly knowledgeable, I also take his suggestions and considerations seriously.Scheduling is a breeze and walk-ins are welcome, so it is easy to visit NextCare when our PCPs are unavailable.I couldn’t be more pleased with the staff and level of care my family has consistently received at NextCare in Shelby. We are so grateful for this place!

Great atmosphere very quick service. Very quick service. My son was a walk-in patient and it took them no longer than 30 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I walked out the door to get my son’s physical done for school. I cannot say enough about the doctor that seen him and the staff. The nurse was amazing and his doctor was more than I could ever ask for in a clinical doctor setting Dr. Boyd is your go to Doctor no questions about it If you have a young child with any disability! I didn’t catch my son’s nurses name but again amazing all the way around. I highly recommend going to this location and seeing Dr. Boyd if you or your child needs a physical done or anything else dealing with a younger child!

Everyone at Next Care on Earl blvd were professional, very courteous and helpful. I made an appointment on line and filled out all my paperwork as well. Made it a lot easier! Once I checked in I was allowed to sit in my car which I especially liked as I do not want to be in a waiting area where people are coughing. My wait was around 30 minutes over my scheduled appointment which I thought was very appropriate as they were non stop busy! I was able to track where I was on the list on my cell phone. The check in personnel and the tech were both very attentive, efficient and very personable! Dr Well was great! kind, understanding and even though he was busy he never made you feel he was in a hurry; he truly cared and was compassionate! I give my whole experience A++++ and more!

My visit to NextCare was very good. Everyone at this Clinic is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Goodwin is SO great, he takes the time to listen to you and is very caring and knowledge-able. During his examination he noticed something that needs a referral and he handled the process for me! I am so thankful for him.

I walked in after going to another place that they said was a 3 hr wait and it was only 30 minStaff was incredibly very nice the nurse got be bk in 15 min and the doctor I saw was so Personable!I will definitely be back here they are a great walk in option when your provider is closed and it’s the weekend!!!

If we’re sick on the weekends and can’t get to the doctor, this is the only place we come. The doctors are knowledgeable and helpful and listens to what you have to say. The staff is friendly.

The woman doctor at next care in shelby is the worst doctor they have in that place. She does not help anyone she sees.

Ive gone to this facility several times with my children and I usually have a good experience with the desk and medical staff but I took 3 of my children yesterday and things were so confusing. After making several calls to management and emailing the care team, I received a call from a gentleman who proceeded to tell me that my youngest childs weight was put in incorrectly, reflecting my middle childs weight and vise versa. When the prescriptions were sent in, my youngest child received a dosage higher then my next youngest although he weighs about 20 lbs lighter. When I spoke with the management of the facility, she acted as if everything was logged correctly. For those with multiple kids, please always double check the prescriptions when picking them up because the pharmacy doesnt double check, which they should in my opinion, they just fill the prescription as the doctor puts it in. Im glad I made the calls I have and found that too much of the prescription was going to be given to them and too little to my next child. This has been reported, although it seems to have sort of been swept under the rug, but me and my children will not be going back to this facility. Mistakes like this should never be made in the medical field. This is peoples lives were talking about here, and children at that. Get it together NextCare.

They are extremely polite. They make you feel comfortable and I havent had that experience with doctors and nurses in a very long time. They dont talk down to you or act like its a pain to see you. They have a good bedside manner for that atmosphere. I would recommend the one in Shelby, N.C.. Dr. Goodwin and staff are very nice and very patient and helpful.

At first I was really upset at how long it took to be seen, I was the first one there and seemed to be the one before the second person waiting, after a few minutes I was put in a room, then after an hour wait total, I was very impatient because I was taking my two year old to be seen and didnt understand what the hold up was, the stress and concern for my little one was not helping me, once the doctor came she asked me if I was okay and I expressed that I was frustrated that I had to wait so long, she was sweet and understanding and said she was the only doctor working there today so that made me feel way more understanding of the situation. Despite my initial frustration she reassured me they would take good care of my baby and helped walk me through everything that was needed. Overall really friendly service.

Had appointment and was almost 25 minutes being seen. Hard to understand the provider but the mask and me having an ear infection didnt help. Everyone very polite. Was able to schedule next day appoint where with Atrium it was not available.

I have visited NextCare for myself or with my husband and children many times in the past year. I am happy to say that almost every experience has been very positive. Today my daughter was treated by Bianca, who went above and beyond in terms of patient care. She was extremely kind and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We have also had wonderful experiences with Matthew, another NextCare PA in the Shelby location. It is a blessing to have a place we can trust and turn to when our primary care physicians are booked up.

I was very pleased with the professionalism at this clinic. The receptionist was very efficient in processing the paperwork and getting me attended to. My wait time was less than 15 minutes, the doctor went out of his way to explain my course of medicine. All of the staff were excellent.If a time should arrive that I need urgent care again, Next Care will be my one and only stop!

Let me say, the staff did their jobs today with heart. Took my daughter for an xray. We didnt wait too long (all other Urgent Cares had a 2-4 hr wait!), they listened to our concerns, & answered all my questions (and I had a bunch because my daughter cheers & plays softball). Every staff member was kind, courteous, smiled, and was knowledgeable. They made us feel like they cared. When we were leaving, an EXTREMELY RUDE patient was checking out in front of us. Her card wasnt working and the staff asked her for a few minutes so they could help the patient out, see if it was their system, etc. She began cussing them, name calling, all because she was impatient and wanted to leave.. The staff handled her VERY well in the moment, professionally. I dont know how they restrained themselves, but they did. I nearly stepped in because the patient started throwing things at the receptionist. After the rude lady left, the receptionist nearly burst into tears because of how badly she was treated. But, she picked herself up, helped me & my daughter get checked out so we could leave, all while checking in 2 other patients. Im leaving this review for her.. because our visit went GREAT, with everyone. They certainly didnt deserve that abuse from a patient when they do their jobs with heart. If we ever need an Urgent Care again, we will certainly go back to this office. Kudos ladies for hanging in there, even when others tear you down. 👏 That job is tough but your other patients rely on you and are grateful for what you do and how you do it. I know I was today. ❤️

Will say the wait was a little timely even with an appointment, time of year probably had alot to do with that. Everything else was perfect. Friendly staff and a family type atmosphere. Would definitely revisit.

Terrible experience. I walked in and they were very unwelcoming. The woman at the front asked for parental consent but I’m 18. She huffed and puffed when she had to put in my medicaid information. I made an appointment for 10:40 online but walk-ins were able to go in before me so I wasn’t seen until 12. The nurse was very rude and slammed the door when bringing me back, and cut me off while I was telling her about my symptoms. The doctor was nice, but everything else about my experience was awful.

I was a walk in and was still in and out in less than two hours. Everyone was extremely friendly from receptionist to nurse to doctor. Doctor and nurse both listened to me and seemed genuinely concerned

It was fast friendly and very helpful to me because I didn’t have insurance it won’t kick in until December. So the wonderful receptionist got me on a nextcare plan and it wind up costing me 250.00 less.

Awesome staff an they care about their patients

I would recommend NextCare because the PA was very helpful and was able to diagnose my problem. I’m feeling a lot better! However, I would recommend simply walking in vs. making an appointment online. I made an online appointment for 3:00 but did not get call to a room until 4:30, took blood pressure and checked temp at 4:45. The PA came in room after 5:00. left at 5:30. I think it would have been just as fast to walk in.

It was an overall good visit, however I had to take a hearing test and the Lady who administered the test was really nice, but she was training someone and stood right outside the booth and conversed with her trainee while I was taking my test. This made it difficult to focus on my hearing test, difficult to hear the beeps over their conversation.

I was reluctant about coming because I wasn’t sure if I would get the care I needed! Needles to say, the doctor and nurse I seen were GREAt! The doctor was very attentive to what I was explaining to him about how I have been doing and what I thought I needed! Most importantly, the workers all made me feel welcome! I will be back!

Waiting room had tv Incredibly loud and wasn’t appropriate for children. The main issue, however, is having no paperwork. I was not given the chance to think through my medications and list them anywhere. I was asked by the nurse and named off what I remembered. Once I got my prescription I was informed that it could react with a medication I had forgotten. Yes, I forgot but in the 45 min I waited I could have filled out some paperwork. The online registration also froze and I had to finish with the lady upfront.

Went for DOT physical. Scheduled at 1230, arrived at 1220, taken back at 115, 10 minutes of face time split between nurse and doctor. Left at 145. 1 hour 15 minutes plus for a 10 minute scheduled visit seems bad.

I went there to get checked and get blood work done and they denied me and said they didn’t do it. I then looked it up on their website and discovered they were lying to me. At that point I went back to the desk and presented the information I had on my phone they then tried to deny me help and I said y’all can’t refuse me help that’s against the law it says here that y’all do it I then asked for a manager and she said let her go ask and see she then came back and said she could help me lol I found this whole process insane

Next Care was actually my second choice, but Im so glad we went there! Although the wait time was long even though I checked in online and registered ahead of time, the staff was amazing! The nurse we saw greeted us so warmly, was so kind to my baby, and was just all around very personable! I didnt catch her name, but she had a short haircut dyed purple. The Nurse Practitioner we saw was just as great! She was very thorough, kind, gentle, and overall had a great bedside manner.If I need urgent care again, I will happily drive from Forest City to Shelby again!

The care was just that, and beyond. Not what I expected after showing up a half hour before closing. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and compassionate.

I prefer to go to a different urgent care, you should too. Ive unfortunately been here twice, each time Ive had an appointment. Each time theyve made me wait 2-4 hours after my appointment, even with screaming children who were in pain. The lobby is disgusting and unorganized, has the floor ever been swept or mopped? If it has, that person needs to try harder. Couldnt get an oxygen reader on my two year old, I would definitely not take children here, especially with the long wait and dirty environment, your child may catch something else while being here, and if youre not careful you may too.

Went in on Thursday afternoon after falling off the back of my truck. They took care of me and quickly got an ambulance to take me to hospital. Found out I had a- fib.

I cut my finger on a Sunday morning so my doctors office was closed. After being told by another urgent care clinic in Shelby that they didnt do stitches and told at the ER that it was probably going to be at least a few hours before I could be seen I went to NextCare. There was one person in the waiting room and I had not called ahead. I waited about five minutes before I was called back where I was treated promptly and very professionally. The entire staff was very nice and friendly too. I was in and out within an hour with my finger fixed up. Im a former emergency room nurse so I can be picky about my care but I have absolutely no complaints about the care I received here. I would definitely return if needed and have told several people about the excellent care I received.

They got my husband taken care of with little wait time. Everything went smoothly and the doctor was very nice.

Had swelling and excruciating pain of left foot Went to the ER twice went to my GP once was going to go again but She didnt have an appointment available so she sent me to urgent Care where I saw several staff members and was finally given a breg shoe which after 2 days of use the pain is completely gone and the swelling has reduced dramatically Yes I would recommend this place to anyone who has an issue finding out what is wrong in the ER NextCare will find out what is wrong and they will fix it

Excellent service here; very thorough examination; people seem to be very professional; receptionist polite and considerate; didnt have to wait too long. Personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. The Nurse Practitioner was a good listener. With the current legal restrictions on what can be prescribed in walk-in clinics, she did a good job. The steroids did indeed give me some relief. And for that Im grateful. Have used this clinic a number of times in past years and will do so again.

The people inside were super nice. I had to wait almost two hours to be seen with an appointment. When I saw who the doctor was, I know why. Dr. Brown takes his time and does what he thinks is necessary for his patients. They are lucky to have gotten him there. He and PA have been the best and the informative.

My GP could not see me. I had been to another urgent care 2 times and was getting worse. Dr. Matt was exceptional. He diagnosed serious UTI and phenomena both lungs. He prescribed meds and after 24 hrs I feel so much better. Ill go back. The nurse also needs a shout-out She was really nice and approachable.

My husband came in today without me because I was out of town. He had a slightly sore throat last night and his tonsils were a little swollen, but not bad. This morning, he woke up with his tonsils almost touching and white patches all over them. He also had a fever and a cough so bad it kept him awake all night. The on-call doctor completely blew him off and told him to drink water…. He said all it was is tonsil stones. Since I have been home, they have swollen even more and he is in bad pain. I have had tonsillitis and strep throat myself a number of times in my lifetime and I even had them removed from having so many infections. This doctor has no idea what he’s talking about. All he had to do was prescribe an antibiotic. I am livid. I guess the man was mad he was having to work today or maybe he just has no idea what he’s looking at, because I have worked in the medical field for years and so has my family. Every person I showed his tonsils to said it was tonsillitis. I do not have the doctor’s name on my husband’s paperwork, but he was the only doctor working today. My husband never goes to the doctor unless he’s in extreme pain, so I am extremely upset that he went in today, paid for the tests and exam, and left with no answers other than to “drink water and rest”. We had to miss our family gathering today and got no answers nor antibiotics. I’m not one to leave nasty reviews or put in my two cents, but that doctor shouldn’t be working there if he just lets sick people walk out of that clinic’s door with no answers.

I didnt like the way I was treated at Urgent care, so I decided to go to Next Care. Best decision ever. Please never go by appearance. Very nice and cordial. Show that they cared, didnt worried about insurance just about my child being okay. I really appreciate that. Keep doing what your doing for the community.

Very professional Doctors and nursing staff.Today I got news that I wasnt expecting and the nurse was very encouraging and supportive when I started crying Ive always been a caregiver and have had no experience at being a patient in need of care. Her understanding an encouragement helped immensely.

The PA I saw was excellent but the front desk staff and the person who took my vitals were both super rude and had a terrible attitude.

Absolutely the best. From the receptionist to the nurses to the Doctor. Im deaf in one ear, and they did not mind repeating so I can hear. They had to do exray which showed phenomena. Got a shot of antibiotics, they gave me a breathing treatment. Prescriptions. Even called the Pharmacy to see if I could get everything I needed. The Doctor and nurse went above and beyond to make my experience there a good one. Plus took excellent care of me while I was there. They were concerned about my health. I havent seen this kind of care in years. Will absolutely be back.

Very satisfied. Went to next Care Shelby on a Sunday and was promptly seen. The nurses were professional and friendly. The doctor also was professional and friendly and thorough in his diagnosis. I have a primary care doctor but his office was closed today. I would not hesitate to go back to Next Care in Shelby.

Dr. Wenn was so compassionate. He truly showed concern about my health issue. The front desk lady was a gem. The nurse was outstanding. He remembered my name from the time he took my weight until the moment I checked out. This friendly staff made me feel welcome and Im on the road to recovery. The services were affordable too as I hadnt met my deductible for the year. My Care Credit card was also accepted. Kudos to the wonderful people at NextCare.

With the covid testing happening I expected to wait longer than normal for a normal, walk-in visit but you would never know a pandemic was going on . Also my insurance has yet to kick in so I knew my visit could be pricey. They have a new plan for people without insurance that is awesome so now I have the comfort of knowing if I need a doctor within the next 3 months I don’t have to worry about the price and getting in with one. The doctor was also amazing. He took his time with me and really made sure to check out everything and every possible resolution . I was treated better here than any primary I’ve ever been too! Would definitely recommend to anyone

Have always loved going here until this last visit. The dr was very nice however he shouldn’t imply that you won’t make it much longer with home care if he doesn’t know it! He told my mother and I that her pneumonia had worsened and wanted her to go straight to the hospital to be admitted for Iv antibiotics. Keep in mind their X-ray machine was down so he could only listen to her. I appreciate his concern for my mother however he didn’t have to scare us and make us think she was going down heel very fast and wouldn’t make it! We spent 8 hours at the emergency room that night all for them to tell her, her lungs looked clear, no infections or pneumonia.. she simply had bronchitis (which I mentioned to the dr at this location). Like I said the dr is very nice but he 100% shouldn’t scare people into thinking they are not going to make it without being able to do all the proper testing. He could have simply said that he recommends that she goes to the er to get an X-ray.

Only complaint I have is that I made an appointment for my visit, arrived 25 minutes early. And has to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time to get seen as they were trying to clear their walk-ins. Otherwise the doctor and nurse were great.

The nurse and doctor that saw me were absolutely wonderful. Very good at their job and made me as comfortable as possible. 100/10 would recommend before anyone else. I was in and out within 15 minutes and they did a prestige job.

AMAZING!!!!!! This is the best Urgent Csre Ive ever been to!. Everyone is so professional, caring, and makes you feel comfortable. They dont just treat symptoms here, they treat YOU! They talk to you, they ask questions, they want to make you feel better and get better. They care about what they are doing, your not just a co/pay. I cant say enough about ALL who work there, AMAZING! Hate being sick, but if I have to be, Im going here to be treated.

The nurse and doctor were very professional taking time and concern for my visit. I was told my weight would be about 45 minutes, but unfortunately it was about two hours.

Only complaint was the wait. I waited two hours, just as long as a person who walked in. I had an appointment at 9:30 and walked out at 11:30, so it wasn’t absolutely terrible. The doctor was very nice!

Got here early for a drug test. Filled out all the paperwork I needed before my appointment time. Waited over an hour after that. Tried to do my urine analysis early and come back out to wait. Lady at the front didn’t do anything about it. Watched plenty of people come and go. If your employer is trying to send you here for anything besides Covid please suggest another facility.

Amazing service with everyone I spoke to on the inside, those doing the COVID test AND the Dr. Who came out to report. She was very informative and took extra time to discuss low oxygen issues. I believe in giving KUDOS to those who do a good job. I was very impressed AND thankful!! I shall return when needed!!

Wait was not incredibly long. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I really liked the doctor I saw. He was nice, did a thorough exam,talked to me in a way I could understand, answered my questions. Ill be back. They changed my perception of urgent care places.

All staff was quick and helpful. PAC Bianca, got me taken care of and explained a treatment plan. Good experience just make sure you schedule through the app and fill your info in.

Took my Dad here after a fall to get his arm x-rayed. Signed up for a slot online first. It was about 2 hours out. Showed up a few minutes early and checked in. Within 30 minutes we were in a room. The Nurse and Doctor were great. Got his arm xrayed and were out in about 2 hours total. I think it was a good pace, considering they did more and were more caring than the ER was a couple of months ago. This took about a quarter of the time that did. Honestly little waiting, they were moving along nicely.

I went for swollen tonsils early on a Sunday. The wait was as predicted on the tv in the waiting area, the receptionist was great, the nurse was great, loved the doc (Id make him my primary if I could). I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Great experience

I absolutely love the staff here. They are all so caring and very patient and kind. I will always come here when I need to go to a Urgent Care, they even called to check on my daughter and when I told them she was nauseated they called in a anti nausea medication for her. This is the best office around!

This place is extremely slow. Still sitting her at 1:50 my appointment was 12: 50. I will never come here again! This is ridiculous my sons sitting her in pain and all we can is wait because he needs to be seen asap!! Never ever again. If anyone asks Ill tell them go somewhere else.

I didn’t have an appointment but arrived at the clinic at 745, they open at 8. I called the phone number on the sign and stayed in my vehicle. Three different people came out to see me. One to check my ID and insurance card. One to swab me and take vitals. Finally nurse practitioner to just tell me further instructions. I’m waiting for results but I was very pleased with the experience.

The location in Shelby NC has a friendly staff that is very caring for the needs of their patients. I went for Covid-19 test and I was able to stay in my vehicle and the staff came out to me I had the rapid test done and it was nice to be able to get my results the same day they were very sanitary about how they handled everything Ive never used an Urgent Care before that I will definitely go back there if I have any issues that I cant see my doctor about during regular hours

Went for a pre-employment drug screen. I have to go back Saturday because apparently there is only one person that can do the alcohol test. The people that were there were very nice.

They are fast and friendly. I had to go for a work related injury and they took care of me right away. The tech took it upon himself to get the X-rays that he knew the doctor would need before I was seen so that by the time I was seen they were already read! It was pleasant as it could be when at a doctors office!

I do not recommend anyone go to this place. I would give zero stars if I could. The receptionist was overall well mannered but the wait time was horrendous when there were only two people in the room and I made an appointment 2 hours in advance. Sat and waited for an hour and a half just to be told that my problem might be anorexia because I can’t eat. I thought I was pregnant but they suggested a blood test that “costed $9” so I said okay in case it detected the pregnancy hormone since I have a rare blood type and would want to seek out attention for myself and the baby. The “nurse” didn’t even introduce herself, her name, title or anything. She could have came in off the street for all I know. She couldn’t get my blood and that has got to be the worst time I’ve ever been stuck in my life. SHE DIDNT EVEN WEAR GLOVES DEALING WITH BLOOD. anyways she said she was going to get someone else to try and get it. Only for the doctor or whatever you wanna call him to come in and sent me an order to drive 20 minutes across the county for the lab to get my blood. Worst $200 I’ve ever had to spend. DO NOT GO HERE! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I am giving this review for Doctor Matt. In the past 4 months I have seen 8 different doctors. Doctor Matt was the best. He was very patient and a great listener. He made me feel very calm.

I scheduled my appointment a day ahead. The staff and doctor were efficient in seeing me with only a small amount of wait time, diagnosing my condition, and sending a prescription to the pharmacy that was available for pickup when I arrived.

This is a great office Great group of staff been coming here for years now. always kind and they listen. The waits not to long. But even when it is they apologize and it doesnt bother us because we get great care. Love that that you can sign in using the app.

My experience was pretty good. The dr was very helpful and diagnosed me fairly quickly. The only issue was that even tho I had an appointment, I still had to wait an hour before being seen.

Will not be back. The lady at the front desk was rude and impatient. The nurse that took us back to the room and got all the vitals and did the swab for covid was great and is the only reason I gave 1 star. The doctor came in, asked for symptoms and my daughter said fever, sore throat, cough and congestion. He listened to 1 deep breath, took a quick look at her mouth and said well, covid test was negative but these are all symptoms so we sent it if for lab test. If it’s negative then this is just a cold. In and out in 2 min…. When you have all of the above symptoms there should be 3 standard swabs done automatically…. Covid, flu and strep.ALWAYS TRUST YOUR MOM GUT!! Took her to another urgent care the next day and she has strep throat!!

Service was quick and easy. Appt. made online, close parking, staff was friendly and Dr. did his job quickly and efficiently. I was sick and was seen, diagnosed and sent quickly on my way 2 CVS , nothing else needed to rid my cough & cold.

I was pleasantly surprised how efficient Next Care providers were. They took time to listen and explain my diagnosis with me. They examined me throughly practicing all safety measures during this Covid-19 pandemic. I will return and recommend this practice to others. Unlike preferred providers, NextCare got me in immediately, when I contacted them, and has me on my way to a recovery!

We had been to Urgent care of Gaffney with no results. Family Doctor with no results. But we came here and they were so great. They actually took the time to run tests . And try to figure out what was going on with my son. I definitely recommend Nextcare of Shelby. Thank you so much for taking care of my child.

1) About 30-40 minutes in the waiting room with about 4 other patients already there. Could be worse.2) About 30 minutes in the room waiting for doctor, saw & talked to me for about 30-45 seconds. Could be better, though I guess he did get to the point and prescribe the drugs I needed quickly.3) Facility is standard and pretty clean. Staff was pleasant/polite enough.Very average care facility!

I took my son here yesterday and there were several people already there when we came in but the wait wasn’t too bad and everyone who worked there, including the doctor were all very friendly. I’m happy with the service and would use them again if needed. Next time I will check-in online though because they do get a lot of walk-ins.

Doctor Richards listened to what my symptoms were and what had already been done by my doctor and another doctor. He listened when I told him how I was feeling; I mean he really listened and then made some suggestions that we could try to get me feeling better. The receptionist was very nice as was the nurse.

This urgent care facility is excellent. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the attending physician - Dr. Tim Wenn - I could not imagine a more capable, more professional staff. Making life even easier was that they took my insurance so all I had to pay was my $50 copay. I highly recommend and I had a positive experience after suffering a pretty bad injury. I felt it necessary to put this on the web since there are so many complainers and not enough happy customers who share their experiences. Thanks again team. (Told you Id post a positive review.)

The people in Shelby were nice for the conversation that I had to have with them. I called to see if I needed an appointment for a covid re- test, and the people answering the phones are in a call center apparently. But she told me no appointment was needed, that I could walking and get one. Upon arriving, I checked in, and said I needed a test, the lady said Id have to make an appointment!

Front staff is not friendly, wouldnt expect my insurance and was double charged later and refused a refund for one of the charges, other than that, the doctors and everybody else in the back were great and much easier to talk to.

I went in and saw the Dr for pain resulting from wisdom tooth extraction surgery. They were very nice and the Dr listened to me and I was in and out in an hour. I am now pain free. 10/10 would go back for sure.Update. The medication that was prescribed was not helping with the level of pain I was experiencing. I called and asked for someone to call me back and advise me on what to do because I am not used to taking prescription pain meds and I did not want to take too much and I did not get a call back. I ended up calling a nurse on call for advice.

I love NextCare Urgent Care. Matthew Goodwin, PA C is the best of the best!! I had already visited there on Friday, very sick but with a negative Covid test and returned once again on Sunday feeling worse. That visit gave me a positive for Covid. I went back after my 5 day quarantine to get my paperwork filled out to return to work. I felt worse with a severe cough. He immediately got me a chest xray, gave me a steroid shot, and sent me home with antibiotics, prednisone does pack, and a nebulizer with meds. His companion and bedside manner was un remarkable!! He was and is the nicest doctor I have ever been treated by!! I recommend him very highly!!

I was very impressed with the service I received at Nextcare in Shelby. Because of Covid...the nurse came right to my car and did my test. I was out of there in 30 minutes. Everyone was so nice. I will definitely go back there should the need arise. I give them a 10.

I have always been treated respectfully and kindly by this staff. Even when other businesses look at my social and economic level and treat me like leftovers. They have always handled situations and people around them with dignity and commpassion.

Will not go back. Doctors are rude. If was up to me I would give no stars. Very unprofessional Doctors never been treated the way they do.

Great staff and very nice doctor. My visit was for a pre employment physical exam, audio gram, and drug screen. From the receptionist to John the nurse who performed all off my testing to the good doctor that signed off on my exam i was given nothing but respect and common courtesy. Being in the power industry I have been threw this type of thing many times and often you are treated like a number and a burden if you ask any questions. I have in most cases left the medical facility a little less than happy as most of you I am sure can relate. NextCare Urgent Care in Shelby is by far the best place I have ever been for any medical treatment or exam. John was just awesome I wish there were more like him in the nursing field. I highly recommend this place.

I had ankle surgery 5 days ago and got my bandages/splint wet while bathing. The UrgentCare staff contacted my surgeon and he approved replacing my splint. They replaced the splint and bandages…all done within an hour…and done painlessly 😊…Thank you to all the NextCare staff !

Went in for a covid test because I was exposed at work . They did a rapid test and a send out test. The 20 minute rapid test took over 3 hours before they came out and told me the results. They told me the send out lab test results would be back in 24 hours and to quarantine pending the results. It has now been a week and no test results. My job is waiting to hear the results as am I.

I booked an online appointment. The wait was still long, but there are alot of sick people out there. It was worth it, because as tired as the staff must have been, they were considerate, didnt rush through anything once I did get seen. The staff was awesome and thorough.

The PA was so compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. The wait was long, however the end result was worth the wait, my husband felt better the very next morning.

I went here to do a pre employment physical and get a flu shot. Everyone was very nice and professional. They were actually out of flu shots so the lady at the reception counter actually called around and found me the next best priced place to go to. I would recommend everyone go here they are wonderful and very reasonably priced as well!
