I would recommend this office and these doctors and the staff nonstop. I’ve been having quite a bit of issues and Dr. Toutenel and her amazing staff helped me tremendously!!! I have a very hard time with new doctors, especially under there Circumstances. Two other places that I went to could not help. I wish I remembered the name of all the staff, but I’m so glad I found a doctor that I trust and her amazing staff. Definitely I cannot forget Norma Who made sure this was taken care of as quickly as possible. I cannot recommend them higher. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you for everything you did.

I had the highest respect for Dr.Pirkle but now I’m questioning everything he has done. My most recent pelvic exam 2 years after a surgery which he never would do a follow up for he has me in the room with nobody else. He wanted to begin my pelvic exam which usually a RN is in the room. He proceeded to begin & I noticed he did NOT have any form of protection or gloves on his hands. I asked him to don a pair of gloves & was ignored. Half way through the nurse walked in. I have never felt so violated. Not to mention I came in cause I have been having pain since the prior surgery. He was very dismissive & said I shouldn’t be having pains but what can he do & shrugged it off. I can’t speak for the other physicians at this office but I would NOT go to Dr.Pirkle ever again. I don’t know if I even needed the surgery he had me have at this point. Regrettably I trusted him.

To all new mamas: I highly recommend Prisma Health Blue Ridge Women’s Center as your OB! The staff is AMAZING! Everyone there was so nice and supportive during my whole pregnancy and my checkups after! And the doctor who delivered my baby, Dr. Schwering, was the sweetest! When I found out that I was going to have to be rushed in for a c-section and was terrified, her and my two sweet Nurses prayed over me and it made the biggest difference. Oconee Hospitals nurses that tended to me were the sweetest and made us so comfy! Huge shoutout to nurse Ashley and her student nurse from Clemson Lauren. Their shift was ending when I had to be rushed in but they DID NOT leave my side. They went into the room with us and made sure that I knew they were rooting for us. I could not have asked for a better and more supportive team!

Had a great experience with Blue Ridge. My doctor, Kaci, was respectful and knowledgable and took time to answer my questions. Same with her nurse, Madison. They were terrific!

Amazing. I have never felt so heard. Doctor Virginia Gaulden was amazing and so was her nurses. I balled my eyes out in the office and still am because i feel so relieved. She answered every question and explained everything to me and im so happy that i found a doctor that listens and genuinely cares.

**I WILL UPDATE THIS THROUGHOUT MY PREGNANCY* 4 stars (new update below)I had my first appointment today 11/10/21 and it was okay! I have a phobia of hospital related buildings so I was already a little stressed. It didn’t take long for them to take me back. I had an ultrasound done and I wish I would’ve gotten the nurses name that did it! She was super nice and today was her last day working there before transferring to AnMed! She was so nice it made me wanna transfer just to have her services! L But after that I was taken out to wait for my doctors appointment. I was then called back in by a nurse who I think was named Catherine? Well she was a little snappy at first so that had me off really quick (due to bad experiences in the past with another OBGYN business)but everything was chill after that. Dr Pirkle was decent! I got flustered easily so I didn’t ask all the questions I wanted to or needed to unfortunately. But so far everything has been decent as far as the nurses and doctors. Hopefully I’ll switch to dr schewering (my apologies if I spelt that wrong) cause I heard she’s awesome! I can agree with other reviews that the receptionists are kind of rude. The one I dealt with today nearly made me lose my brain cells. Do better or stay at home! I can’t deal with that kind of frustration.*UPDATE 2/19/22* Two starsJust felt like I was never actually listened to and my concerns were never analyzed. I would get “flags” on my test results but would never get spoken to about them and the cause. So I’m left wondering why I had a low RBC, high WBCC, protein in my urine, and so on. Was tested for anemia but never got word if I had it or not?I don’t care to go into detail about anything else but have transferred to the Greenville Midwifery Center. Hopefully they will help me with my concerns instead of making me feel like I’m stupid and this is why I can never ask the questions I wanna ask.

I LOVE this office. Dr Allen is amazing! I’m sure the other drs there are also I just don’t have much experience with them. Dr Allen has done so many wonderful things for me and my children during delivery and beyond. He jokes around and answers questions and even 6 years after my middle was born knows him and all my children by name and asks about them every single time I see him even if they are not with me. It’s amazing and I love that even though he has so many other patients and children he has delivered he STILL remembers mine. That’s rare and just shows that he truly cares. Will never go to anyone else and will always recommend!

The care I received at the hospital while waiting for surgery in my first trimester made me want to deliver my baby at Oconee instead of Anmed. I switched to here at 16wks. Im very impressed by their bedside manner, attention to detail, and the level of care Ive received so far.

Very good Doctor and nurse...and even cashier was as always the nicest and most accommodating team of doctors and nurses in Seneca. Totally would recommend and have for years.

I moved from Atlanta to Seneca almost 10 months ago. Needed a new OBGYN just for annual check-ups. Just like many I’m particular about who I will let see me. I ended up seeing Dr. Vance Pirkle and his excellent nurse, Kellie. I’m now 16 weeks pregnant with my first child and have had nothing but great experiences each visit. They also offer prenatal classes at the location - very awesome & highly recommend. I haven’t had any issues with scheduling or rescheduling an appointment or with staff in general. Everyone is really supportive and answers any concerns I have. I’d highly recommend and wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

I met with Dr. Allan today for an annual exam for the first time and all I can say is THANK YOU to him and Liz, along with the wonderful office staff. He took the time to actually listen to me and come up with a solid treatment plan which focused on both treating my current issues along with preventative care. Liz helped me remain calm and relaxed during my exam and was as sweet as could be. Thank you again!

They give me racist vibes! Went there in 2020 for the birth of my second child tested positive for weed ONE TIME and when I went in to give birth they had dss come to my room! I had a white friend test positive for weed her whole pregnancy you think they had dss come to the room after she gave birth? I’m on my third child now and fortunately I stopped smoking but I’ll never go back there or recommend them to any one of color! They also did the same thing to another black friend of mine just none of the white ones!

Dr. Toutenel is THE best OBGYN! Ive always felt heard and comfortable in her care. Thankful to have landed in her care! Ive had both pregnancy care and yearly care from Dr. Toutenel and she was very thorough for both!

Truly a terrible experience and I never even saw the Dr. I agree with all the other reviews that the receptionists are a frustration to work with. The first time I came to my appointment I was not even greeted or asked my name. I was told to sit down and they would call me when ready. I wondered how they would know my name since I wasnt asked or given any paperwork to fill out. After sitting in my chair for an hour I asked said receptionist if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out. She told me, Oh no we have you in our system from other Drs offices. So I continue to sit for yet another hour. I asked to use the restroom, and when I came back the said receptionist came into the waiting room and asked what my name was. I told her, and she said, Oh maam you missed your appointment. The Dr has left for the day. Literally I sat in that waiting room for 2 1/2 hours to be told I missed my appointment. So we go to reschedule and she hands me a stack of paperwork to fill out and bring back with my next appointment. I thought she had told me I had no paperwork to fill out... And then today I go back for my appointment and yet I am told Im not on their schedule for today! My appointment is for the next month! Im done with this place and I am looking for another Dr with receptionists that will actually be helpful in getting me into see the Dr.

Would 100% recommend! I’ve had a horrible experience in the past with another doctor, and they make me feel so comfortable when I’m there. They explain everything and make sure you’re comfortable. Dr. Schwering and her go to nurse (not sure if I should say her name since it’s not on the website, so I’ll give her privacy) are the best duo and I will drive an hour from work just to go see them. I’ve never had an issue with getting an appointment, long waits, or bad service.

Absolutely LOVE this office!!! I hurt for 12 years with nobody giving me any answers as to why. I have had 2 unnecessary surgeries with what other doctors felt was the problem. I came in and Dr Pirkle was amazing!!! Everyone from took very good care of me from start to finish!!! Im happy to say I have been pain free 5 months now! So glad I didnt give up and I found this office with these wonderful people :)

Perfect example of terrible support staff. Dr. Royal is a great doctor, but every single time Ive ever had to call for an appointment, its a hassle on the phone. I really dont think it should be necessary to have to tell the receptionist your issues in detail. Theres zero privacy with a policy like that and I will not be back. Its absolutely ridiculous.

My gynecologist of 22 years retired so I was recommended to start going to Blue Ridge women’s center. I see Dr Baraty. I don’t know how lucked out twice with great providers, but I did. I am extremely, extremely happy with Dr Baraty!! She listens and genuinely cares! Both times I went home after my appointment I raved to my husband how great she is! If you are in the market for a gynecologist, I recommend this doctor and this practice. Many ladies I know recommend every doctor at this practice. I am very pleased to be Dr Baraty’s patient!

Me and my wife have been awaiting an appt for our first ultra sound for a month. I took my morning off of work to see a little heartbeat on the screen. We have a 2 year old that obviously would be with us. We were told sorry the child can’t come back. So we had to sit in the car while my wife had to go back alone. So they just blew past that and said they will call when they are ready for you and just acted like that was okay to do to us. How is that not told to families? I understand the reason but you could tell people no one under 18, follow cdc covid guidelines.. etc etc. Oh and no FaceTime so don’t plan on that if you have to wait outside. If I didn’t tell someone at work the proper details I don’t think I would have a job long. Thank you prisma woman’s clinic for being a top notch place to make families feel comfortable with your services!! You guys are the best!!

Highly recommend but DO NOT GET DR PIRKLE HE HAS LOST HIS MIND. Putting a pregnant 17 yr old on a DIET??? Who, by the way, is in perfect health and is almost underweight. Absolutely ridiculous. And saying to “take Tylenol without acetaminophen in it”. Acetaminophen IS Tylenol. He should NOT be working there under ANY circumstances. Horrible.Although, Dr Allen, Dr Royal, and Dr Schwering are all VERY amazing OBGYN’s.

Highly recommend for all needs. I have been a patients going on ten years and I am always satisfied when I leave. Moved from this area but I am willing to make the drive to come here. Not long wait times, no rushing you once you speak to the doctor. They listen to you and your concerns. Highly recommend them.

Love my doctor. But after I have my baby I will never go back to this place again. The two ladies at the front desk when you check in are absolutely horrible. They are very rude and they do not care at all about the patients. Its a shame how two receptionists can ruin a whole doctors office.

Years ago, I had a decent maternity experience through Blue Ridge Womens... Yet, everything since then has been TRULY PROBLEMATIC. I know there are limited choices in Oconee County but it is definitely worth a few extra miles to find a doctor that is competent and compassionate.

Love dr royal but the receptionists need a attitude check. EVERYTIME I call about something they are so RUDE! I also shouldn’t have to tell them my “personal problem” when asking to be transferred to a nurse. Smart remarks on the phone and everything. If you don’t like your job, GET ANOTHER ONE!

Everybody here is absolutely amazing. I promise you can not find better doctor than Martin Allen. Every doctor here is wonderful, but Dr. Allen delivered my daughter and hes very understanding and if there is a problem, he WILL figure it out and come up with a solution. You cant go wrong here.

Need new receptionist. Every single one has an attitude with you each and every time you come here. Makes the visit VERY unpleasant. If you are gonna be rude stay home, no one has time to come to a doctors office where they are supposed to care for you, and you get their rudeness instead.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. Super friendly staff, clean waiting room, wonderful doctor who took plenty of time to listen to all my concerns and made sure I knew all my options. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Went to them for help. I was very upset. They sent me to another office and called the police and told them I was suicidal I was not. But it made everything so much worse. They can not be trusted.

Only giving one star bc it wouldnt let me write a post. Shes awful. Needs her license revoked. Doesnt care about her patients at all just the money. Any dr that would prescribed medicine(birth control) then refuses to help with the side effects. .... Shes unfit to be a dr...

So very disappointed with their service...the front staff is awful...the two ladies that check you in..one makes you feel like you have stolen something with her asking unnecessary questions...and the other lady just ignore you... Not sure what has happened but I will be changing my doctor. My daughter is a new patient and we set out in the lobby for along time..one lady was sitting for 45 mins... I hope they work really hard on improving this because their customer service needs alot of work... will not recommend anyone until they work on improving their front staff... let me mention I have always had a great experience until they changed the front...not inviting at all... one lady has been there but as I stated before she just ignore you...

These are amazing doctors they are very understanding during my first pregnancy and I’m very thankful for them all

I have some problems and Dr Schuler knew just what to do when others did not. She was kind, through, professional and I could not have asked for better.

The lady upfront really rude and loud someone come to fix tv and she just blew him out
