Really slow service, even with appointment. Maybe 60 min wait time with appointment. I was told planned parenthood didn’t accept anthem blue cross after I showed my insurance card. Which is really weird and concerning.Staff need more training.

Friendly staff, they are very professional over the phone. I specifically like the friendly and professional service by Marissa.

Called to make an apt over the phone and the office lady said Oh I have a spot for 3:30 today if you want and I took it. Little did I know that Id sit in the waiting room 30min after my supposed apt time. I asked if they had an estimate when Id be seen bc I had another apt after and she said it would be another 30-40 min. I dont know why shed ask me to come in for an apt that they didnt actually have time for. They were gonna make me wait 1-1.5 hours for a scheduled apt. Actual waste of time. May have just been the fault of the front desk person for scheduling me in the first place.

People are rude as hell honestly. I got a call back and the girl Bianca on the phone was rushing me and made me feel so stupid on the phone. I am terrible anxiety and just had to deal with something incredibly hard to plan for only for the front desk people to act like I was some problem. I notice everytime I have to state I’m trans or black I get some kind of attitude thrown at me. I genuinely don’t feel safe going to this planned Parenthood but I have no choice because the people are the same everywhere. If you hate your job, quit. No one is forcing you there and rushing your clients who are under a lot of stress isn’t okay.

I was so scared before my appointment because i read a bunch of bad reviews…Let me tell you my appointment was amazing they made me feel welcome and taking care of. Nurses, MA’s, and the doctor were amazing, responded all my questions and made me feel less anxious.

I’m posting this under a different name because I want anonymity for my medical care, but I just need to say how INCREDIBLE the front staff, nurses, doctors and medical director is at this clinic. I came in for an abortion today and absolutely everyone was so nice, accommodating, reassuring, and made the procedure go by nearly pain free, even without sedation. I didn’t have to wait, every step was explained to me, and I was allowed to make every choice possible, making me feel like I was in total control of the situation despite my massive anxiety. I wanted to hug the doctor after she performed my abortion because she saved my life and provided me with overwhelming relief. Thank you for everything, Planned Parenthood, San Jose Central Healthcare! I can’t express how appreciative I am for everyone that works there.

Walk ins are welcome, but if you dont mind waiting for several hours. Better off going to urgent care, because this place has no concept of time.

Danielle the ultrasound provider was quite cold and rude, Kay was professional and spoke nicely. I do think this clinic sends too many black women over to Oakland Planned Parenthood instead of scheduling them here in the location where they seek help and its much better at this facility than Oakland.

Been here multiple times and every time their time management is terrible. I’ve had to wait in a room by myself for an hour, with the lights turning on and off repeatedly because the sensor thought no one was in the room. I’ve had to wait in the waiting room for 50 mins even when I had an appointment . I love the variety of services they offer and the doctors themselves are great but the wait time is so exhausting and discouraging. If they valued our time they would tell us how long the wait will be approximately so that I can leave, get food, and come back. I had to get up and ask the staff myself how much longer my wait will be after 50 mins and they said for the service that I am getting today I would be having to wait an hour. If the front desk people knew that from the beginning why didn’t they let me know?? Complete disregard for my time.

Thank you so much to the staff at Planned Parenthood on the Alameda in San Jose. The women that took care of me on Tuesday, September 28th deserve a huge thank you for everything that they do, especially despite the rude and ignorant protestors that hovered around the building on that day. I really cannot thank these ladies enough. Every staff member that I interacted with was kind, professional, and exceeded all expectations. I hope the staff members will get a chance to see this note. Thank you heroes for working to protect and uplift women.

Had a procedure done last week and the wait time i would say still needs improvement but i understand like in any doctors office you will always not be attended at the exact time stated. But over all my experience was superb they were very kind, non judgemental and they gave me informed details. The doctor made me feel comfortable and worry free. The staff made sure that i am cared for and i am ok.

Horrible experience! I came to get refills on my Birth control pills & I didn’t even get my refills. The MA never took my vitals & gave me birth control pills that I didn’t want to take. I only had 2 options which I didn’t feel it was right. I’ve been taking the same pills for 2 years & never had any problems with them. I even showed her the dr who prescribed me my last refills of birth control pills which was 3 months ago. After we left the room the MA explained to me more about the birth control pills she gave which should have been explained to me in the room. I don’t feel like they fit me & I’m stuck with pills I don’t even want to take. I hope I can get my refills before I run out. Also the MA didn’t have a room for me when she said she was ready. We ended up going into 4 different rooms, 1 was even occupied.

Went in with an appointment and the -1 star has to do with the time they made me wait. Other than their time managing, loved their care and the staff was amazing.

I love this place and the people !! They are highly skilled and knowledgeable and very compassionate.Our community is very lucky we have Planned Parenthood as a resource for us to come to when in need, especially as a second opinion to the primary insurance.

The nurses and doctors were so helpful and made my experience go better than expected. I really appreciate their help, I felt very safe.

I am very disappointed with this location. Despite making an appointment, i waited over an hour before being called, and the woman at the front desk was also extremely rude to me. How they can get an hour backed up after only being open for an hour is beyond me. I do not plan on coming back to planned parenthood again.

Absolutely no help. Had so many scheduling issues, waited for an hour and a half the first time and they asked me to be rescheduled the second time because they were too busy. Complete joke.

Terrible service not helpful for anything

Came here for an afternoon appointment and was told that the nurse who was going to see me was ‘sick’ right as I was checking in. it was 3:00PM. next available appointment is in three weeks.I hope this sums it up for y’all.

Im very happy with this location only had to wait 15 mins after my appt time to be seen though they seemed to have a hard time drawing blood..

Made an appointment and was out within an hour. Everyone there was so welcoming.

If I could I wouldnt give any stars.i thought the point in a appt was to be seen on or around that time not a half hour later or more than they call everyone before me Im here for something as simple as 5 minutes literally ....terrible terrible ... Im in so much pain n Im proably gonna end up walking out

Yesterday I went to this planned parenthood for the first time and although the wait was very long because I walked in, arrived at 8 and left at noon, the truth is I left with a happy heart, all the people who treated me were so hospitable. and kind but especially Dr. Jackie, the truth is that if you have the option of choosing who you want to be seen by, choose her, what a great human being, she really took care of me so well, she made me feel so important and special, she took care of all my needs There is nothing more beautiful than when a doctor listens to you and has not lost that humanity, thank you very much Dr. Jackie, forever in my heart.
