Planned Parenthood - College Avenue Sarah Weddington Center

Honestly, this was such a horrible experience. The doctor and the nurses were very fine. They were very nice, but the girl who took out my labs. She left me bruise for days. She literally doesn’t know what she is doing this is literally the second week and I am still bruised. If you guys are going to hire people that are going to be hurting your patience because they don’t know how to actually withdraw blood. Maybe you shouldn’t withdraw any blood especially if you’re gonna do it and leave people up, that’s really unprofessional because it could’ve ended worse. I could’ve ended up with a blood clot. I hope this doesn’t happen to any other patients. Please make sure Please their technique is adequate and that they’re not withdrawing blood on a vein where they shouldn’t be withdrawing blood

Went in to get my implant changed out. They were able to give me an appointment super quickly and were so kind while scheduling. Day of the appointment, the wait was pretty quick, and everyone who helped me was again super kind. Turns out my implant was good for another year, but it was giving me heavy periods so they gave me a month of birth control pills to get me back on track. Really appreciate how attentive and considerate all of the staff is here!

I have never been to a planned parenthood, and due to my provider being out of practice and needing my birth control refilled immediately, I called and made an appointment. I understand they take preliminary measures to ensure their patients to feel safe, but what I was met with made me feel the safest I ever have in an office. The young ladies at the front desk had such a welcoming and kind aura. The medical assistant was a sweetheart. The physician, Dr Lucia, who helped me at the end of my visit asked me 2 questions no one ever has. I understand once again that Planned Parenthood is here to do what other clinics fail to do. To be asked about being coerced, pressured , or forced into anything, and realizing a physician had never asked me this prior, was eye opening. I thanked Dr. Lucia and told her that this is the safest space I have been in, and to only be here for a pill and realize what incredible things these women do for others provides a sense of humanity. I am almost glad that my obgyn appointment was not available this week, because I had the pleasure of being around angels. Protect Planned Parenthood forever, thank you.

Worst worst people work here! If you are ever in any pain and you don’t know what it is please don’t even try do a walk in there! This place has Unprofessional workers and providers that don’t have no heart! I walked in this facility 3 different days since they didn’t have close date for appointments. I noticed a lump on my right side of my thighs and it started hurting after 3days which I walked in first day unfortunately they were not able to see me. I tried the next 2 days and now I was having pain and still none of there providers wanted to help even to at least tell me what it was! A patient who walked in after me offered me her spot and still the didn’t want me to take her spot. I have never experienced something like this since I have been a planned parenthood patient for years!

Do NOT schedule at this location- I Scheduled an appointment for birth control. They gave me a referral for a mammogram eventhough I said I was not interested. On the way out I was asked to sign a screen fornchexk out. Who knows what I signed and what was charged to my insurance but I never got the prescription for BC sent to the pharmacist. I called for over a month and customer service kept saying they would send this location a note. After two months I just whent to a regular dr and had the prescription the same day. Waist of time and waist of money here.

Set 3 hours aside for your appointment here. Took me over 2 hours to get in and out which annoyed me but I set aside time from reading the reviews. Its not ideal but you gotta be mentally prepared for the lack of time organization. Once in the back, service was good. I had my iud removed which was aggy but dr pappas was kind, patient and good at her job. Pop a muscle relaxer if youre going to do anything with iud tho lol

Complete lack of consideration for client time. Lack of communication with clients, and a lack of effective communication between staff. Multiple members of staff wandering around while no one is seeing patients, even after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes past appointment time. This is not the first time this has happened at THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION! being left sat in a room for 25 mins with no communication of how long I am expected to sit in there. Disrespectful and immoral, quite frankly.

Made an appointment for birth control refill OVER a month ago, they called me days before my appointment to let me know they cancelled it because my provider was not available, made me a new appointment just for them to cancel it again two days later. I currently have three days of birth control left and use it for reasons beyond birth control. This is absolutely ridiculous. Called them back within one minute of missing their call to be told the office is closed and its not even 4:30 pm. Also tried to make a telehealth appointment three times and was told the schedule was not put up yet. Sick of jumping through hoops for basic medical care.

One of the best Planned Parenthoods Ive been to. The nurses and clinicians have the best care and attitude possible for me and the patients there. I dont know what I would do without them.

Every time I schedule an appointment with this location I hope it’s better than the last time and I am always disappointed.. Once you check in you’re still waiting about 15-20 minutes to be taken back then once you’re in the room it’s another 30+ minutes of waiting just to see the dr. I have to constantly look outside my room to see if I’ve been forgotten. By the time a doctor is in to see you it’s already 45 minutes to an hour into the appointment. This is unacceptable and needs a change asap.

Been coming here for a few years now and it does the job. They’re always nice and I always get what I need out of it be it treatment, birth control, or testing. Only downside is the wait is long at times no Matter what day or time you go.

I’ve been to many planned parenthoods, and this is the first one that was playing music in the waiting room 😻 It made my experience so pleasant while waiting and just put me in a generally awesome mood for the rest of the day 😊

Do not book an appointment online. Call the location you are going to visit and schedule directly through their office. The online system has some flaws that need worked out so best to avoid it altogether. The staff at this facility that I interacted with both of my visits were exceptional. Attentive and compassionate and knowledgeable. The nurse assisting me was thourough and professional but also kind and the doctor that entered was the same. I recommend this facility for your healthcare needs and will always be filling my birth control here. Thank you for your attentive care!

Go to a diff PP this place makes u wait FOREVER. Waited 50 mins mid-day on a Tues to be seen. Was still waiting to be seen by dr 1.5 hrs later. Had to leave for a diff appt. Seriously need to reassess their system.

Not the most helpful place. You’ll be on hold for a long time to get answered by very dry customer service and no help at all. The person who answered the phone Karen was very lackluster did not recommend anything just straight to the point and bye. Won’t be coming to this place with that entry of service and even more so after reading the most recent reviews.

5 stars for Kathleen G. She was so kind during my visit, she made me feel heard and tried to make me feel comfortable at each stage of the appointment. I’m grateful for that experience!

Lori was absolutely the sweetest human I have ever spoke with from planned parenthood. She was very helpful and 110% made me feel comfortable and validated. The world could use more people like her!

Kind staff. Had an appointment and went in and only waited a few minutes to be seen. then was helped with what I needed and everyone was nice.

I couldn’t do no stars . Always over booking people ,waits are horrible !! You can wait in the lobby for about 1 hour before getting called in.They need to stop over booking it’s an on going issue. Manager needs to be replaced.

Staff are very rude. Walk in no greeting. Front desk lady rolled her eye because I was not wearing a mask, I immediately told her that I was not wearing a mask because I am fully vaccinated. There is no rules in the state of California that you need to wear a mask inside of a doctor office, because every where is a option.

Always an hour + late, they don’t honor appointments, don’t even bother.

Have tried to make an appointment 3 times over a span of a month and every time I go in they say they are unable to take me … very frustrating and a waste of my time

They make you set up an appointment but they don’t even see you when it’s time they put people before you an use the excuse you have wait 35 mins

Terrible. Set up and appointment through there website then when I get to the place my appointment wasnt ever set up nor was there anyone that could look at me. Save yourself time go someplace else

Horrible check-in staff. So rude and demanding. Can’t even hear them through their tiny windows and god forbid you ask them to repeat themselves. Try to avoid this one if you can.

Front office staff was immediately rude , This is my first visit here and she doesnt ask for things she demads it , horrible people skills college office its 11/13 at 12:30 very ghetto .She looks so angry .

They should say that babies are not accepted when they make the appointment. They only made me waste my time and I even got wet with the rain and everything so that they wouldnt give me the appointment 😡😡😡😡😡they didnt attend to me because I came with my baby because they didnt tell me before.
