Dr. Gavin Puthoff, MD

After almost 4 years of uterine bleeding, and doctor after doctor writing me off, I finally found real help! All I was told by other doctors was birth control was my only option to stop the bleeding and “control” the PCOS. Dr. Puthoff was able to give me a real solution with his extensive training in NaproTechnology. I recently had an OWR and a few other small things done with him. I, my mom, and my husband could not have been more impressed with him and his staff. Truly top tear!!

I don’t think I have the words to fully express my gratitude for Dr. Puthoff and his team. I can simply say they are a blessing. It’s unfortunate that I still wasn’t able to conceive after seeing him, but I’m at peace with it because I know that he exhausted every clinical resource he had to care for me.We look to our doctors to fix it and solve the issue all of the time, and sometimes it’s just not God’s will. I appreciate having a doctor that prayed with me, gave it his all to care for me and supported me on this journey.

Dr. Puthoff and his team are amazing. He is so kind and fully listens to you and never rushes you. He is thorough in his plans and doesn’t want to waste any time before the next treatment. I saw him for fertility and quickly went through a lot of tests, got scheduled for surgery and am now making the post-op plan. Get on his wait list now he is worth it!

Dr. Puthoff is the best! After 2 years of infertility, we travelled to St. Louis from Iowa as a last resort. Dr. Puthoff immediately made us feel comfortable and hopeful. He allowed us to ask all of our questions, answered them all, and never rushed the visit. He is an AMAZINGLY talented surgeon, and as soon as we met him we knew we were in good hands. 4 months after my surgery, I was pregnant and now have an 8 month old baby girl! In addition to having a family, I also no longer have pain from endometriosis, which has completely changed my life for the better. It was so worth the wait to get an appointment with him. Dr. Puthoffs willingness to work with us from a distance was generous and so appreciated. We are (and will always be) so grateful for this doctor. I only wish he were closer to us, that I could see him again to thank him in person, and that there were more doctors like Dr. Puthoff!

Absolutely fantastic doctor and staff. They are truly doing Gods work. The compassion, bedside manner, care, expertise and professionalism is par none. We had been to three other infertility doctors before landing here, and we are beyond thankful our long/painful road of infertility led us to Dr Puthoffs office. Words fall short of how incredible this clinic is. Special thanks to Nurse Jeanette who took the time to answer my MANY questions before/after my surgery and was so patient and encouraging throughout the process. Highly recommend.

Dr Puthoff is the very best. I’ve seen many doctors prior and Dr. Puthoff is in a class of his own. He worked to resolve my health issues and get to the root cause of my infertility. He is patient, kind and brilliant. He performed my surgery and is incredibly skilled and uses advanced techniques. I cannot recommend him more highly. To top off the experience, his team of nurses, front desk, and ultrasound technicians are the best I’ve ever worked with. They are empathetic and very responsive. I have every bit of trust and confidence in them. I am grateful beyond words to have found Dr. Puthoff and his team.

Dr.Puthoff is kind, compassionate and caring. He takes his time to answer all your questions and concerns. He also gets to the root of your problem. I had been in terrible pain for years and he is the first doctor who didnt tell me birth control was the only option available to me for my pain. He is extremely thorough and makes sure his patients are well taken care of and has a great staff also! I cannot believe how much better I feel since surgery. If you have any kind of reproductive problems, Dr.Puthoff is truly the best.

Dr. Puthoff and his staff were amazing! He was able to diagnose the cause of my infertility and now we have been able to have 2 healthy pregnancies! Our children would not be here without his help!

It can be very hard to find a physician that listens to you, honestly listens. Concerns, questions, worries, everything. Being a woman this is a very real struggle we face, not with Dr. Puthoff. I personally faced this issue for several decades. After my 1st appointment with Dr. Puthoff, I was completely blown away. I was shocked to finally find a physician that actually listened to me. He has continued to do so ever since then. Not only does he listen to me, he make sure I know exactly what was going on every step of the way. I know my treatment plan and that Im comfortable with it. Infertility and miscarriages are very hard to deal with. I have been met with nothing but compassion and caring from Dr. Puthoff and his staff. He is a highly trained and educated physician. I have encountered him as a kind, empathic and understanding with his patients. He is in a class of his own when it comes to physicians. He has helped me understand so many things that other physicians didnt even take the time to acknowledge. He really has helped improve things in my life. I wouldnt be where I am today without him.

Dr. Puthoff and his staff are AMAZING! With a history endometriosis and two prior surgeries, I was not looking forward to another surgery. When a friend recommended Dr. Puthoff and shared her experience with surgical NaProTechnology, I did some research and my consult. I decided to fly from Florida to St. Louis to have the surgery. It was the BEST experience and surgery I’ve had! The day of my surgery and the days after, I was walking and feeling better than I’ve had with my 2 previous surgeries, which was difficult in the past due to pain. Dr. Puthoff, his office staff, especially Jeanette, and the OR team were all very caring, genuine, professional, and compassionate. I am forever grateful for this experience and such a wonderful team.

I have been struggling with infertility for 2 years. I waited 8months to see Dr. Puthoff and one week (literally) before my long awaited appointment, this past December, I was sent something in the mail that he was leaving Mercy and would only bill out of network. I have no out of network coverage on my insurance and can not afford the cost. I was going to move forward with that first appointment which would have still been covered to see if it could have provided me with anything. That appointment kept being changed twice eventually into the new year with no coverage. Needless to say I never saw Dr. Puthoff but thought the entire handling of the situation was poor. Patients should have got more notice on the change. I had to be added to another NaPro doctors long waitlist and I am still here with no answers or help. Earlier notice could have been that much earlier on another unbearable waitlist. Infertility is a terrible thing for a woman to deal with mentally and the entire situation with his office added on another 8plus months for me with no help and the continued mental burden.

I honestly have difficulty putting into words how wonderful Dr. Gavin Puthoff is. We struggled with Infertility for 3 1/2 years. We found Dr. Puthoff about 2 1/2 years into our long journey. After 4 failed IUI’s, laparoscopy that gave us information, but no help, and a recommendation to pursue IVF, we found him! He was able to fix my problem that the previous doctor said could not be fixed. After a few short months, I then ended up getting pregnant with twins naturally with just the help of medication. He truly was a godsend and we will forever be grateful for him and the growing family he was able to help us with. I highly recommend him for anyone struggling with infertility. He will assess the entire picture and get to the root of the problem versus just recommending IVF to anyone who struggles.

When it comes to physicians, there are good eggs and better eggs; but when it comes to Dr. Puthoff, he is the best egg. The way he does what he does so wholeheartedly yet still professionally is what sets him apart from the rest; he has a humble bedside manner paired with a motivation to care for patients in a way that is high above the normal call of duty. I became a patient of Mercy Clinic Fertility Services last winter after my husband and I had been struggling with secondary infertility. Dr. Puthoff was quick to provide a comprehensive list of treatment options, and I chose to proceed with laparoscopic surgery in which he found and excised stage 3 endometriosis. Now, not even a full year later, were just days away from welcoming our NaPro miracle baby!!! The overall care he provides (from office visits to procedures to surgery to OB care) is unmatched by any other physician Ive ever known; Dr. Puthoff absolutely offers the truest form of womens health while many other providers just put a Band-Aid over the underlying issues so-to-speak. We are so grateful that he was able to get directly to the root of my problem and provide me with reproductive health and wellness that will last long beyond the child-bearing years. Because this line of work is tedious and sometimes thankless, we want Dr. Puthoff to know how much he is genuinely appreciated and would highly recommend him to any woman or couple looking for top-notch care! If there were more physicians in the world like Dr. Puthoff, there would be more smiles like ours!!! :)

Dr. Puthoff is phenomenal! I always leave each appointment feeling more at ease than when i walk in. He really takes the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions, and I ask A LOT. His communication skills are on point, I knew what to expect at each upcoming appointment. I also never had any issues getting an appointment that fit my schedule, which was really important to me. His staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I utilized the MyMercy app a lot to ask questions and someone always responded to me within a few hours as long as I sent it during normal business hours. I had to deliver my child by c-section, but it ended up being a great thing. Dr. Puthoff came to the hospital in the middle of the night, and had me in and out of surgery in 40 minutes. I was up and moving the next day which I credit to the care he took opening and closing me back up. You really will not find a more caring and genuine doctor in the St. Louis area. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Puthoff and all of his staff are truly amazing! My husband and I struggled for years to have our first child and ended up conceiving through IVF. When trying to have our second, we decided to see Dr. Puthoff before going through another IVF cycle. Our first cycle with Dr. Puthoff I got pregnant! Truly amazing! He is a miracle worker!

Dr. Puthoff provided me with exceptional, thorough care in the treatment of PCOS. After years of only being offered the pill as treatment for the condition, Dr. Puthoff and his staff dug deeper into the issue and were able to work with me to formulate a treatment plan that involved treating the root of the problem, not putting bandaids on the symptoms. His care before, during, and after my procedure was above and beyond and I would recommend anyone to him that is seeking a great understanding of womens health care. His staff are kind and welcoming and his bedside manner is superb. He is a great addition to St. Louis healthcare!

He was a fantastic doctor. Before I knew about him, every doctor told me my pain was in my head and/or my fault. Dr. Puthoff took steps to diagnose me, make sure he got everything, and operated on me. He was gentle, courteous, kind, understanding, and patient. Couldnt have found a better doctor.

Dr.puthoff is absolutely amazing!!! I was seeing a reproductive endocrinologist for infertility and she did absolutely nothing but offer Ivf for my blocked tubes .. But today I had an hsg with doctor puthoff and not only did he make me feel at ease,HE CLEARED MY TUBES !!! Im so grateful for him ! Hes seriously an amazing doctor and is so caring !!! I feel like I cant say enough wonderful things about him ! Im so thankful !!! If anyone is reading this trying to decide if they want to be seen by him ...DO IT!!! Hes the best doctor Ive ever had !

Dr.Gavin, SAVE MY LIFE!!!! He provided me with OUTSTANDING CARE, He makes sure he takes his time in explaing and breaking down every piece of information, not just that but he also demonstrates!!!! Hes very gentle with how he approach and do procedures that is needed!! For almost 3 years of putting up with painful stomach pains, and seeing doctor after doctor who just was pacifying my symptoms with antibiotics, and shoving pills down my throat while still suffering with infertility as well. One of the best doctors in St. Louis. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. Their is very little wait time during your appointment times.Dr. Puthoff listens and never dismisses you. It is worth the wait for your first appointment.

After visiting two doctors before they jumped straight to a discussion about IVF. When I visited him I instantly felt a sense of relief because IVF is my last resort. He was more interested in fixing the problem rather than going around it.
