Planned Parenthood - Rochester Health Center

I went in for an annual and testing. I have a high deductible insurance plan. Had to pay multiple hundreds of dollars and was given 2 prescriptions. A month 1/2 later, symptoms still persist. I called the office to get recommendations on what they thought it could be or if they wanted to try a different prescription. I was told that I needed to pay for another appointment again and get more tests- again. I reminded the staff member that nothing has changed for me over the last month 1/2 since I was in and went over ALL of this. I’m just saying that their prescription didn’t work. Any other provider would look at my chart, review symptoms and then act accordingly. Not Planned Parenthood. They wouldn’t even allow me a phone call with a doctor because “we need to schedule a call and have it billed to you.” I already paid HUNDREDS for care that did not work and their concern is how to steal more money from a patient? I will be using another provider.

Ive been going here for years for exams and overall womens health. They are so kind, and so helpful! From helping me with insurance, to answering all my questions with concern, its a very comfortable environment.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the front office staff to the Nurse and PA that I saw. So kind and helpful.

Came here on a protest day for a annual.staff was awesome friendly efficient and informative .I travel for work so planned parenthood is the best option for me with woman health. The protesters wasnt as bad as when I was in my 20s Im 47 now so this protest seems to keep going .just ask protesters to please dont step in front of cars ot to close to windows you scare people .

They do not answer the phones very unprofessional man this is the only location open on Saturday in my area and I can’t even get ahold of them. My results are not posted on the app so I have no way of knowing

Great place. I wanted an IUD and was able to book an appointment for the next day hassle free. Once at the clinic, there was a long wait (1.5 hrs) for my appointment, but all the staff were very nice, professional and reassuring. I got along very well with the specialist.This clinic provides the copper IUD and one version of the hormonal IUD (Lyletta). I chose the Lyletta and after a very simple process I am now protected for the next EIGHT YEARS!They will also take a urine sample beforehand and run a pregnancy test as well as an STD test. You can’t get an IUD while you are pregnant.The copay was only $25 and insurance covered the rest. The IUD itself was free because of this. Couldn’t be happier

Wonderful place, I was nervous and very happy I came to them for my first general exam. All of the staff I interacted with were professional and reassuring. The appointment making process online was very easy and they take confidentiality very seriously.

Awesome staff, Jasmine was my first nurse (or nurse assistant) and talked me through choosing new birth control. I felt so comfortable, my doctor was incredibly supportive and informative and helpful. (I hope someone will tell them all of this! I was there october 26th). The receptionist was great too because I had lost my insurance card and she helped me look up all of my information.

Absolutely fantastic organization and staff at this location. They have been beyond amazing for every appointment Ive come in for for testing as well as when I had my IUD placed. Forget going any other place, they are number one in my books and Ill be sad to leave them when I move.

They always make me feel safe and comfortable. They listen to my concerns and provide their expertise which has consistently helped me.I appreciate them!I go for birth control, annual exams, Std screenings

Wow, what a great experience! Wonderful staff! If you are nervous about making an appointment and going to PP, dont be. This is a wonderful, caring place. You will not regret going there, make the appointment. Wish I had gone sooner.

Staff is friendly and helpful, with the exception of one woman who is quite impolite on the phone. I would name her, but she did not say her name on the call. Will not let this staff member stop me from retuning however as everyone else is exceptionally polite and professional.

The nurses are wonderful but the lady I experienced at the front desk was very rude and condescending. After I told her what I was there for, a free 12 month prescription that I was prescribed by a nurse, I was met with, no, you have to pay. And mmm, I dont think so.After a minute or two looking at my file she said, hmm. Okay. Free because of income. She then called me up to the counter and said, actually you have to pay. Its under 10. I make less than what I did when I was prescribed this medication. I asked why and she said my income changed. Then says, okay its $15. So first its no, then its free, then its under $10, now its $15? I left feeling irritated and definitely embarrassed.Please dont make me feel less for not being able to pay. Keep your comments to yourself before figuring out the entire situation. And actually figure out the entire situation without throwing dollar signs at me out of nowhere.

I went in to get my mirena IUD today. Was pretty nervous about the whole thing and although I’ve been doing over a years research on it, I was so nervous talking to the nurse (Jasmine who was great) about it today I forgot everything I knew about it, she was very helpful and comforting in telling me effects, the procedure, anything I needed to know about it. The procedure was very quick just painful cramps (they were not fun cramps) the doctor and nurse helping me were great with conversing and keeping me distracted. After (and a bit during) I started feeling pretty loopy considering how stressed my body was then just flying back to normal, so they were moderate of me and kept me there for a bit until my pain meds kicked in, giving me water and crackers to nibble on. I was a bit embarrassed how bad my cramps were and how dramatic I was being but the girls reassured me it was normal and made sure I didn’t leave until I felt safe and comfortable (as comfortable as you can get after having your uterus yanked.) I now sit at home in my bathtub feeling very relieved and dominant of the thought that planned parenthood is such a wonderful place as I always have. They have helped so many women who can’t afford women’s healthcare for so many years in so many ways. Thank you pp for making this an easy, relieving trip. And thank you for all the work you continuously and courageously pursue.

I have been here to have a procedure done and the staff is wonderful and extremely comforting. I felt very comfortable as their kindness and love towards me as a patient was very heartwarming. Excellent place…

Seriously.. these people are so friendly its unbelievable . Amanda the PA is an absolute doll, she made me feel so comfortable both times Ive been at this location. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!! These people are GOLD.

They talk about patients business amongst each other and you can hear it in your room. Very unprofessional.
