He has been my doctor and surgeon I would never ask to have another one like chacon I miss him and I hope he see this to know that everyone has opinions but me I want chacon back

I’ve never had a more thorough, more compassionate and professional OBGYN. Dr. Chacon always made me feel comfortable and never another number being pushed through like many other Reno OBGYN offices. He gave me a life I never imagined I’d have. He gave my children an active mother who was no longer sick 2-3 weeks out of the month. He listened and found multiple issues I’d begged years for answers to. He saved my life in more than one way. I’m forever grateful! My surgeries healed quickly with multiple scars from multiple necessary surgeries that healed so well you can’t see them unless you’re really searching. I’d not known a life pain free for 23 years, five years later I’m so grateful I found Dr. Chacon. I recommend him a million times over.

I am not surprised to see this office closed. I went to see Dr. Chacon a few years ago due to an UTI. They had prescribed some antibiotics for me and I was allergic to some of the ingredients and when I attempted to reach the office several times and left messages they never returned calls. I was basically dismissed for no reason. Also I was not impressed with the Dr. Chacon during the appointment. He was kind of condescending and cocky. I tried to explain my systems to him and he was very inattentive and was rushing to get to his next patient. I felt he was not trying to help me at all.

I’m surprised there are so many good reviews for this office. I went here to see Dr. Chacon when I became pregnant with our son who is now 7 weeks old. When I first came to the office, I was originally seeing Dr. Hoffman for the first 2 monthly check ups that I had. I was told by a receptionist that Dr. Chacon was out of town during the time, but he was actually in jail (I didn’t know this until much later). Once Dr. Chacon returned, I began seeing him. He is honestly a very nice person, I just don’t think he’s a great OBGYN doctor. During my pregnancy I had elevated blood pressure consistently. My son was head down by 19 weeks. And by around 28 weeks-30 weeks I was having cramping, lower back pain, and I just had a gut feeling he was going to come early. I expressed my concerns with Dr. Chacon, who did not seem as concerned as I was. I was supposed to do the fetal fibronectin test to determine if he would come early, but it was never delivered to the lab on time the 3 different times I got it done. Around 33 weeks, I lost my mucus plug, so I was hooked up to a monitor in the office to determine if I was contracting, and I was. The medical assistant Liz, had told me that false contractions do not cause cervical dilation, that’s why she was worried. I was sent to a high risk pregnancy center where the doctor there informed me that “everyone has contractions” and it didn’t mean I was going into labor, even if I lost my mucus plug. Something still felt off. Even though me and my husband were growing increasingly concerned, Dr. Chacon was not. Every cervical check I got done, I was dilating an extra cm each time, so by my 36 week appointment (I was 35 + 4 days) I was 3 cm dilated. Sure enough, I delivered my son 2 days later. He was born early at 35 weeks + 6 days, just like I thought he’d be. I went to the Northern NV Sierra medical center, to have him. I was informed by the receptionist at check in there that Dr. Chacon was denied privileges to deliver there even though he’s been telling his patients he’s “working on getting them”. The receptionist said “shame on him”. Dr. Chacon also had his privileges revoked to deliver at Renown as well, just a heads up. Almost every nurse I spoke to during my labor and delivery told me to avoid Dr. Chacon, and to follow up with someone else for my postpartum appointment. On top of the lack of individuality of the treatment I received my whole pregnancy, the miscommunication in the office between medical assistants is horrible. Liz was amazing, and very caring, but when I was not with her the other medical assistants had little to no idea what was going on with my pregnancy. Read your medical notes!! I know you have to take them after each appointment. That’s what they’re there for. There was one time where a different medical assistant had given Dr. Chacon the wrong patient file, so Dr. Chacon couldn’t even recall from memory which patient I was or what was going on. Find a different OBGYN especially if you’re expecting.

Im been with Dr. Chacon since I was young and he has done amazing work and kept my womans health in check! He delivered my first child 22 years ago!! He has been my primary OBGYN of choice ever since. I have had others delivers of other children and I had wished each time he had been my doctor! His bedside manner and care has always been my favorite quality about him. He does great work and I will continue to use him as long as he is in practice!

Dr. Chacon and every single member of his staff are a genuine breath of fresh air and what appeared to be a hopeless situation has completely turned around I’m sure each of them is anointed by Jesus to be exceptional and wise caregivers. It gives me joy to see improvements manifesting and I’m part of the team listening and following instructions and suggestions being proactively involved and feel certain my healing will be 💯 percent real and lasting. Dr. Chacon is Amazing! He will answer any question/ concerns you may have to the best of his ability. I went in specifically with questions about fertility & left knowing I was in great hands. His staff is super kind & helpful when I come to finance issues.

Dr. Chacon has been my OBGYN for almost a decade. He is caring and explains everything very thoroughly. He is the best OBGYN Ive ever had. I highly recommend him. I live in Carson, however I have no problem traveling to Reno for a great doctor like him. His staff is also very courteous. The office is clean. The restroom is clean, however right now in these unprecedented times, it could use a more frequent wiping after every use.

I loved my time with Dr. Chacon! He was one of my favorite Drs. He helped me through my pregnancy. Turns out I needed bilateral hip replacements! I’m so thankful Dr. Chacon always was so kind and took his time to listen to me. I love his abstract art throughout his office and the girls are so kind! I will miss him as my DR. I really am sad hometown health ruins everything!

Had my first appointment today, and I’m very happy that I did not listen to the reviews I read. I’m sure there are cases everywhere of bad things happening and I don’t think anyone would lie, but I am glad that I came despite the reviews. The office staff was amazing. Super friendly, helpful and kind. His medical assistant that helped me was very sweet and kind. I have absolutely no complaints. My appointment was cut and dry. The doctor went fast, but was thorough! I don’t want to be in there all day either so I am happy that the appointment was quick!!

We were SO excited & nervous for our first ultrasound and to meet Dr. Chacon. My mom had challenges getting pregnant and had lost her first child due to a heart defect, so we were very nervous for this first ultrasound. We were brought into the room for the ultrasound and were greeted very coldly by the tech. She immediately instructed me to get undressed and get on the chair for the ultrasound. She did not leave the room for me to undress or ask me any questions. She then started the ultrasound not saying a word. I was so nervous that something was wrong that I started crying. My husband asked if everything was ok and I asked if I could see, to which see abruptly replied I’m taking my measurements first then I will show you. The only relief we got was when she played the heartbeat for her records. Finally she flipped the small screen to me so I could see. After the ultrasound we were at least excited to see the doctor to go over all of our questions. That is when we discovered that Dr. Chacon would not be meeting with us and we’d meet with his nurse practitioner. They informed us that he actually is not very involved in the appointments at all. This was very disappointing as we were hoping to establish care with our doctor. Overall, with this being our very first experience and pregnancy I left knowing I would need to find a new doctor.

Office is nice. I would not see Dr. Chacon for endometriosis. He refused surgery and recommended Orlissa, which has very bad side effects. Also told me my insurance would not cover me seeing an interventional radiologist for my pelvic congestion syndrome, which is also not true. I wouldn’t have gotten treatment for this painful condition if I had listened to him.

I had a hysterectomy done in November of 2020. Unfortunately about years came I started not feeling right due to my hips or waist I kept turning into my left side of the bed when lying down plus I started leaking again. So I am not happy or satisfied.

Dr Chacon has been my obgyn for 5 years. He has great bedside manner and really cares about his patients. He delivered my son and checked on us everyday we were in the hospital even the days I had to stay there after my son was discharged for an issue I had not related to childbirth. He has an amazing and caring staff that does everything they can to male you feel safe and comfortable.

I saw Dr. Chacon a few times. Some good and some bad. Office staff is nice but the doctor can be off-putting and rude at times. After reading of his arrest, I cannot recommend this office. I found a new gynecologist and they are far more professional. If you are looking for a new OB/GYN please look elsewhere.

I waited to leave a review until after I completed my postpartum check up after delivering my son. Overall, I enjoyed my experience as a patient of Dr. Chacon at the Woman’s Health Center. This was my first pregnancy and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The NP, Charlene, and nurse Robin were also very helpful to this new Mama. They offered words of encouragement, support and knowledge. I’m very grateful for their care. Dr. Chacon is a straightforward kind of doctor, which I appreciate. He makes sure to always start with questions I have and then moves on with what he needs to do. I was lucky to have a very uncomplicated pregnancy, birth and recovery. But overall, I felt my questions were always answered and the team was always available. A big thanks to the team!

My first appoint was really smooth. I was able to see the Dr discuss my concerns and get an his professional opinion. Office is nice and clean, staff is efficient and Dr made me feel very comfortable he would address my issues and follow up. Great service!

Dr. Chacon and staff are great! I always feel welcomed and that all of my many questions will be answered. I am healing nicely from my recent hysterectomy, which is not for everyone, obviously, but for me, it was the best thing I’ve done since giving birth to three children. And ALWAYS follow doctor’s instructions. If he says, “don’t do it”, then DON’T DO IT!! Simple.

We moved back into the area and had a terrible time getting through to other offices- either they werent taking patients, or they were so rude and cold I didnt feel comfortable committing to the practice. I called Womens Health Center Reno and asked if they had a female practitioner, to which they replied yes. The office staff was very kind and patient, got me in as soon as they could, and sent reminders for my appointment. My appointment went wonderfully. Charlene Knedgen had wonderful bedside manner, and was very calming and personable. I was put at ease immediately, and she was more gentle during my pelvic exam than any other physician Ive had in 20 years of seeing ob/gyns. The office and rooms were clean, and all logistical issues such as insurance, scheduling, etc were executed efficiently and competently. It was not stressful in any way, which often is not the case when being provided healthcare. Very happy with this office and the care I received!

This doctor is pretend friendly not much help to people of color. I have been seeing this doctor for two years now. He told me I have fibroids and that they are growing. However he only wanted to give me a a hysterectomy never giving me options for other treatment. I also found a lump in my breast and he still hasnt set me up for a mammogram to find out whats going on with me. I was treated with a syst the night before my appointment. During the exam he was ruff pushing on my incision without care and wasnt helpful at all with everything Im going through health wise. Every single time I come for a visit he does the exact same thing and nothing else. Just a way to take all of my money! I dont believe this doctor is very helpful unless youre white or Hispanic. I wont be returning to this doctor and I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chacon for a little over 2 years. I have had nothing but great experiences at this office, from the receptionists, Melissa, Marcela, Janette, Char the nurse practitioner. Always polite over phone, quick in returning my calls and answering questions. I am expecting my 3rd child and I only wish Dr. Chacon delivered my other 2. They have been great at getting me in on shirt notice and making sure all is going healthy for baby an I. I highly recommend Dr. Chacon and his team!!!!

From my first visit to my surgery, I have had nothing but a wonderful experience. The front office staff as well as the office manager are always friendly and helpful. The nursing staff is kind and easy to talk too. Dr. Chacon instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease to share my concerns which can be difficult in this day and age. I would refer any of my friends and family to The Womens Health Center of Reno. If would give more than 5 stars if i could!♡!

Ive been seeing Dr Chacon for about 4 years now and every visit the staff makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. He will be my obgyn for as long as I live here, he is a very nice man and it trickles down to his employees. The new facility is really nice too! Keep up the good work!

Everyone is friendly and professional in the office. Dr. Chacon is highly educated, professional and really listens to any questions/concerns I may have. Cheryl, his ultrasound tech, was a joy and it was great that I could get an ultrasound in office and SAME day prior to leaving. I enjoy going to the office and truly feel taken care of at this practice.

Ive been seeing Dr Chacon for 9 years. I respect and appreciate what he does. Ive never had an issue with him or his staff. I will continue to see him for as long as he stays in practice.

Dr Chacon and his staff are very friendly, and professional.. I had a complete hysterectomy along with a sling for my bladder. My recovery was only one day and I had no pain . I feel confident in Dr Chacons work. He definitelyy fixed my problem and he follows up with regular check ups. I recommend Dr Chacon and his staff for all your womens needs

So Im a new patient here, Im not from Reno so I was looking for a great doctor and place for them to take care of my pregnancy. After todays visit, I am glad I chose this place, dr. Chacon, the other doctor, the nurses and medical assistants have all been nothing but great. The ultrasound tech was really good at explaining everything, the doctor and medical assistant that saw me were both great, they stayed in the room for a while asking questions, hearing me out and explaining everything very detailed and over all they were all so nice.. Im so happy I found this place..

Dr. Chacon is the best! No matter removing an iud the same day I found out my grandma pasted away or a Miscarriage. He always takes the news to the best of his abilities and gives you a loving hug! I was super nervous I had to see an on call Dr today after my miscarriage. Thankfully his front desk crew got me. Into my doctor! A plus treatment from everyone in the office! I LOVE Dr. Chacon he delivered our second son on February 4th we were new to the Reno area and I was really nervous about seeing a new OB but he put my mind at ease! I have really bad anxiety so I worried about everything but he was super calm and eased all my fears. Char is an AMAZING nurse practitioner and Robin is an amazing nurse! The front desk ladies are always so nice and helpful! I’m gunna miss coming here often 😭 everyone was so nice!

Amazing experience! I had some health problems that have lasted a few months, and they were quick, and helpful and did not make me feel uncomfortable. Dr. Chacon was phenomenal. I will never go anywhere else.

I love this office! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Dr C is absolutely wonderful. I havent found an office or Dr that I have liked in many many years. Im happy to call this my home Dr office!

Dr Chacon is the best! My teenage daughters and I have been his patients for years. He manages my hormone therapy and preformed a bladder suspension for me. He is respectful , honest, thorough, and an excellent teacher. We are so grateful to have him as our physician.

I love Dr chacon! I have been going to his office for two years now. Him and his staff are wonderful they are always so friendly and fast. I was diagnosed with PCOS with my previous doctor and she didnt give me a whole lot of information about what was going on with my body. He however talked to me about everything in detail and what we could do to keep in under control. Also I was terrified to get the IUD and he was able to efficiently explain the pros and cons with getting it. After having it place I have not had a single problem!! I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a new doctor!!

Very good experience there I love dr. Chacon he treated me with respect and was great with my well being, and with any concerns I had. He delivered my daughter through C-section. And he came to see how I was doing the next day. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Thank you to the nurses staff as well.

Dr. Chacon delivered my first baby. His nurses were very pleasant during my prenatal visits, and he always answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. He made the delivery itself comfortable - or at least as comfortable as it could be haha. I continue to see Dr. Chacon for my gynecology care.

Almost $1200.00 for standard initial office visit and follow up? Why is this allowed? Just received my bill for 2 office visits. Not to mention ineptitude of doctor having to be begged by patient to culture for Chronic UTI. Threw away the first sample. Had to beg on 2nd visit to culture. From the moment he walked in, he was insisting on procedures without establishing the need for those procedures. Wanted an ultrasound, wanted a Pap smear without asking if I had had one recently, wanted to do some other exploratory procedures, again, without truly asking for a history. To me, it appeared to be a money grab and I declined everything, but what was necessary in diagnosing Chronic UTI. Hand on doorknob, no follow up, Did not request the records they were supposed to. Waste of time, money, and distressing to learn of his criminal actions to say the least.

9 days ago I was finally able to get a surgery done I had to fight my health care for 3yrs. By sheer luck of the draw I got a referral outside my established health care system I was basically stagnant in to another Dr we just wont even talk about and got referral to this amazing guy. Dr Chacon did in less than 3 months what I was fighting for. Im telling you this guy rocks health care. Straight forward medical care with knowledge and confidence. I knew he was the guy 5 minutes of my 1st appt.Today was incredible feeling. My cognitive thought process is back without all the hormones that were essentially killing me. I am forever grateful for him and his entire staff. What a great group of people.Thank you Dr Chacon, you are my hero.

I was able to get in quickly. Dr. Chacon made feel very comfortable and explained tests and options clearly. The office is in a good location and is clean and pleasant. The entire staff was welcoming.

I love love Dr. Chacon! He saved my life by finding something all other Doctors had ignored. Ive been seeing him for over 20 years, he gave me my hysterectomy and has taken fabulous care of me. I would highly recommend. He truly cares.

Charlene was great—professional yet friendly. I felt very comfortable with her. She was very thorough. One complaint is that while there was a considerable wait time, the air temp was uncomfortably cold. The program that played loudly on the TV in the waiting room, played a very obnoxious program. Television should be in mute mode of off completely.

This place was great! the medical assistants, nurses, and doctor were all amazing. I had a pap and had some questions about birth control and all of my questions were taken very seriously and professionally, and for the pap I was made to feel very comfortable, as it’s obviously not a very comfortable thing to endure. I highly recommend this place it was clean and nicely decorated too!

Dr.Chacon was my Dr. about 6 years ago for few years and now he is my 20 yr. Old daughter’s OBGYN. He has been very kind and a caring Physician.

I have never received better care for my surgery and after care than I have with Dr. Samuel Chacon and staff. Not to forget the terrific care from Renown Hospital. They cared for me from the minute I walked in the doctor to including calling my family members with an update. We drove hours and was able to get home with minimal issues. I highly recommend Dr. Chacon and Staff.

He had awful because major. 4 days after my twins passed away and he delivered them he didnt even remember who I was and what I had just went to. Your not a patient you are a number and a dollar sign!!!!

From my experience with doctor chacon he saved my life. My placenta exploded inside of me I almost died, he reacted very quickly to do what had to be done to save my life.With me he had a positive attitude and bedside manner. He always stayed to answer questions. He is a very respectful and caring doctor. I trust him to help me with my medical needs in gynecology.

My experience here was OUTSTANDING all the way from the first call to get established as a new patient to picking up my medical records. Everyone who works here is kind, helpful, and gives the impression that they truly enjoy helping you. Char and her nurse/medical assistant go above and beyond! I’ve dealt with offices that would give you nightmares in the past but this place was such a breath of fresh air. Thank you for having such high quality employees!

I love Dr. Chacon. Ive been seeing him for almost 8 years now, he delivered my youngest child 7 years ago. He is the nicest and most respectful doctor Ive ever been to. I highly recommend him to anyone searching for a doctor.

Dr. Chacon listens and is very reassuring. He’s helped my friend through cervical cancer, and me through a delivery and hysterectomy a few years later. His staff is very nice and knowledgeable.

I saw him without reading reviews, based on a friend of mine. I have since read reviews and i have to disagree with alot of them. Yes he is a busy guy but when I first met him he actually listened to me compared to the few doctors i had seen before. He was right on my problems and we have had them taken care of. I complained of pain, lots, while on my cycle as well as some while not. I had incontence as well. I have since had a partial hysterectomy with a bladder sling. I have just gone back to work and Im feeling much better. I have absolutely no complaints with this doctor. Hes really good in my book compared to the past doctors i have seen.

In the ultimate discomfort scenario, I always feel comfortable at Dr. Chacons office. I appreciate the professionalism, and how he and his staff prepared me for the procedures and answered all my questions. I highly recommend his office for anyone looking for the best (possible) experience!

Dr.Chacon is awesome so far I have been there through this pregnancy my first two I lost and this one has been great and they have taken very good care of me they I love Robin and Char and all the staff there! They are amazing! Thank you

Dr chacon and his nurses were very professional and focused on my issues they supportive and comforting and I always love how clean the doctors office is.

Ive been with dr. Chacon for 15 years now and I love the way he works, hes fast and always answer all my questions. Ive never had any problems with his staff personal either, although Ive seen different personnel over the past 15 years he chooses wisely, theyre friendly and always make you feel welcome.I highly recommend him!! 💚💚💚

Only giving one star because I can’t give zero! My friend’s mother went to Dr. SamuelChacon, and he had her schedule a hysterectomy without giving her any results from her tests. When she asked for the results, they got irritated and told her she had to wait 30 days and then told her to schedule surgery for next week. They later called her and said she had an abnormal Pap smear, but she got a second opinion elsewhere and they said she had a completely normal Pap smear and no need for surgery! She later found out that other friends of hers who had gone to Dr. Chacon had also been muscled into getting hysterectomies, and one woman is now in constant chronic pain from a hysterectomy she didn’t need!! Dr. Chacon is refusing to give patients their test results, flat out lying about their results, and bullying them into surgery!! There are way better gynecologists out there. Stay away from this guy!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Chacon for 10-15 years now. He has always been very kind, patient, respectful and so so nice. That goes for his office staff too. I highly recommend him!

He was fast and efficient but other than that he left me with many questions for months. No one called with results of the Cervical biopsy, when I called I was not given information. He also told me that my BV will clear up on its own... Which is not true failure to fix BV can result in infertility! He diagnosed me with PCOS and didnt give me information about it other than wanting to put me on BC. He gave me no hope in fixing the issues at hand and left me feeling alone and crying leaving his office. Last but not least he said he couldn’t give me information on who to see next or refer me to another doctor. If you want to feel like just a number he is your guy, but I would not recommend.

If i could give a 0 star i would. I had my youngest in 2012 and saw Dr. Chacon from 4 weeks along till he delivered my daughter. From the start it was horrible and i should have found someone else but its so hard finding a dr here. I was 30 min early to my first appointment like they asked and still had to sit in the waiting room for almost 45 AFTER my scheduled appointment time, during the ultrasound he completely ignored me and was talking to the nurse about personal stuff. As the months progressed through my high risk pregnancy pretty much any and all of my questions and concerns were brushed off like they ment nothing, his nurse was so rude and judgemental, i dreaded going to my appointments that finally for 3 months towards the end i quit going (was seeing the specialist twice a week) and he didnt even notice that i hadnt seen him once i finally came back in. Was hospitalized twice for preterm labor and he wasnt concerned. Sat in the room at his office in a paper gown for 30 min while he and the nurses were talking about lunch! When it finally came time to deliver, my daughter got stuck and he didnt seem worried until she had almost stopped breathing than he panicked. I also ended up getting my tubes tied because for months he kept bringing it up, saying that I already had another child and 2 was enough, i felt so pressured into it that i finally agreed and it was the worst decision i could have made, they called the night before my surgery saying they were rescheduling it, than when he finally did it, i ended up pregnant 3 months later, miscarried and he refused to let me see my chart. Found out about a year after that that he had completely messaged up the surgery. I honestly dont know how this guy is allowed to practice medicine.

Since they implemented the change of having Carrie being responsible for performing the PTNS treatments, it is so much more organized. My waiting and treatment time has been reduced by an hour. While the others were great, it is awesome having Carrie being the designated person. I am now able to plan my day accordingly. Carrie is fabulous too!! Thank you!

I was searching for an OBGYN back in 2022, until I found this office, they were really helpful and Dr Chacon delivered my son without any problems and I recommend his office for any expecting moms

They treat my wife badly. They cancel every appointment. Even told her she can skip a month and be fine. They told her she can’t be seen unless delivery is paid in full three months prior to due date. They are very rude and give away appointments the day off or day before. The scheduling woman is rude. You need a baby sitter before going to this office. We want a different OB but there’s not many available options in town taking new patients. So I’m just praying he doesn’t end up hurting my wife’s health or my unborn child.

Its so sad to me to see all of these bad reviews. Ive been seeing doctor Chacon since Dr. Polluck effed up my hysterectomy where I almost died. Then Dr. Polluck tried to call me an addict when I was still in so much pain, which he later attributed to a huge hematoma.Needless to say Dr. Chacon doesnt unnecessarily give you pain medication and always answers all your questions. Does he have bad days? Sure! Who doesnt?! However, hes the only one whos been able to get rid of my endometriosis and help me with my pain.I would rather have someone give it to me straight and honestly with care than sugar coat everything. He is also helping my daughter who has horrible periods.Ive recommended so many people to him. The only complaint I would say is the wait time because hes so busy.Thank you Dr. Chacon for always helping!

I love Dr. Chacon and his staff. His office manager Lisa even helped talk me through some tough times. Dr. Chacon is extremely knowledgeable in women’s health and an amazing surgeon!! I’m so happy I found him.

The doctor is amazing and so caring. I called from the ER and his office had me come right over to address my issue. It was a Friday afternoon so he did not make me wait. I recommend Doctor Chacon to anyone.

I have never ever felt the need to leave a review, but this is something I would want a mommy to be do for me. I went to this dr. without looking @ any reviews which I didnt really think I had to, wrong. I am a high risk pregnancy, preeclampsia and hellp syndrome with my first so this time I was looking for a Dr. who would be able to stay on top of this so there wouldnt be any complications or if there were we would be on top of it. I brought this up to him and his exact response was Youll be fine, it is very unlikely that this will happen again. And wouldnt speak about it any more to me. He only came into the room for a couple of seconds and he would even while I was talking try to shake my hand so he would be able to leave sooner as to get me to shut up, and I wasnt asking much! I am 34 weeks and I decided enough was enough, not only did I spend a maximum of 3 minutes of actual face to face time each time I went in but he couldnt even be bothered to answer questions I was really concerned about. He was rude and made smart remarks as well that just made me feel uncomfortable and down about this pregnancy! I started looking around and was referred to obgyn associates. and my first appointment with Dr. Randall Jack was the best Dr.s experience I have ever had. He was kind and spoke more to me in this one appointment than Chacon did my whole pregnancy..... If he is contracted with your insurance I highly, HIGHLY recommend him! As for Dr.Chacon, I hope you can take a look at these reviews and really think about this, because it is very obvious you have made a lot of woman feel this way. Sincerely, the happy, confident mommy I should of been made to feel like since the beginning.

Everyone here was very professional, helpful and understanding! It was great experience during a difficult time. Dr. Chacon treats you like a person and not a number.

I heard many bad things about Dr. Chacon, and many good. So I took my chances an had him do my hysterectomy. Surgery went great and I feel better than ever. There were a few things that kind of made me question him. For example he did a test on me to see if I needed a bladder lift. They didnt tell me my insurance wouldnt cover it, or that it costs $400! But i was willing to pay it because he had agreed to my hysterectomy and i was desperate. Before surgery when I was signing the paperwork he had a procedure listed that I didnt want, but he fixed it before my surgery. None of these things really bothered me that much because I was finally getting what I needed.However, it is now a year later and he is suing me! For $700. Claiming I refused to pay my bill. When in reality I havent received a statement in months, I havent gotten a single phone call, nothing! When I called his office they sent me to billing because the front staff said they couldnt handle it. Then the billing department not only argued with me and claimed they sent me 4 statements and called once (once hahaha yeah thats really trying isnt it) but she said I needed to set up a payment plan through the lawyer. This is after I waited 2 days for the billing department to call me back. They are giving me the run around and apparently all he cares about is money. I read this on so many other reviews and I should have used caution. It must be nice to have so much money and pick on the people who live paycheck to paycheck. Never go here! Find someone who actually cares and isnt going to rape you of your money.

If I could give him negative stars I would. The first time I saw him was 3 years ago and due to an insurnace mix up I was forced to see him again. Here is a list of many of the things I experienced.1. He told me my only option was an IUD and that his never slipped and other doctors sent him their mistakes. I ended up having an IUD put in later on, it slipped after 8 months. Had another put in, it slipped after 6 months.2. When I told him i wanted to get pregnant, he told me I was too fat. I found out 14 weeks later I was 7 weeks along.3. At the time, he was the only OB I knew of so I tried to start my pregnancy care with him. He cancelled my 1st ultrasound 2 hours before my appointment because there wasnt a tech in office. I lived an hour from reno at the time.4. I tried to see him again recently because he was the only OB that had an appointment available in a short window of time and who accepted my insurance. He was just as cocky and rude as he was back then, I could even tell while he was talking to another patient in another room in Spanish!5. He told me I had something called a polyp, explained nothing, told me I had to have uterine surgery to remove it, and didnt explain that either.6. Now, my insurance has been fixed and Im trying to go back to the doctor who handled my pregnancy care. I requested my medical records, they say they have up to 30 days. It has been passed 30 days and apparently its still pending with their management. Then, I was expressing my frustration and the person on the phone hung up on me.Because of their lack of care and lack of timely fashion, Im having to have the procedure redone in order to move forward.This patheitc excuse for a doctor should be put out of the medical field! He is horrible, he is disrespectful, he has absolutely no bed side manner or tact.All he cares about is making money. Given all the other reviews, I wonder how he is even still in practice. The only thing I can think is because he accepts Medicaid. I dont care if youre uterus is in a bowl, go somewhere, anywhere else!!!Edit***Not 15 minutes after posting this review, I get a phone call stating my records are now miraculously ready! Wow! They are unbelievable!EDIT 4/3/18***I saw my old doctor again on Thursday. He doesnt know what Chacon had seen but my doctor did a saline injected ultrasound and found..drum roll please... NOTHING!! Thank god I got a second opinion otherwise I would have had to go and have an invasive procedure for nothing.This doctor is useless and I believe it even more so now.

Dr. Chacon is awesome!! So knowledgable and caring!! Took great care of my during my miscarriage and then my subsequent pregnancy, helping deliver us a healthy baby girl! He is the best!

Cannot believe Dr. Chacons level of unprofessionalism, insensitivity and narcissism. I would NEVER allow this man to deliver my baby. I didnt like him the first time I met him, didnt like him the second time either but went back to be fair, to be sure, and just to give him one more chance. Third time, I only returned bc they had lab results I needed. I waited thirty minutes, he only spent five with me. I asked for a referral, which he became visibly angry and seriously offended over, got up, walked out, and refused to give me one. Ill be disputing his bill with my insurance company, and strongly recommending they no longer refer patients to him. Sorry ladies, I know the OBGYN situation in this town has gotten bad since St. Marys closed and sent all their patients to other doctors, but seriously, even the Pregnancy Center, where you cant even see the same doctor every month, would be better than going to this mans disorganized office and putting up with his gigantic ego, which is - lol, sad to say - taller than he is.

Very unimpressed with Dr. Chacon and his staff this time. I started prenatal care with him two years ago and loved it, so I came back with baby #2. Four times now they have verbally told me over the phone my appointment was the next day and when Ive shown up I get told Its actually tomorrow and we cant see you today. We need to update your phone number. I have given them my phone number (which hasnt changed in over a year) each time and they still manage to tell me its my fault for not keeping my information up to date with them. Very frustrating!!! As someone who was traveling to his office from a different city I am very unhappy with the quality of care given. Would definitely not recommend.

My daughter just had surgery by this doctor and if you want to know how the surgery went , if there were any findings not expected, dont use this guy. He never came out to talk after the surgery, never called either. After my daughter was put in recovery, I had to ask the nurse there if she could give us any information. She couldnt and had him paged. While on the phone he seemed like he was in a hurry to get off the phone. To top it off, my daughter is having issues and had to be admitted to a regular room. Stay away from this guy. Go elsewhere.

I felt very comfortable. The staff was kind. Dr. Chacon was very professional, he took the time to explain everything. He was very patient and answered all my questions. I highly recommend.

Its so sad reading all of these bad reviews bc its all so true. I am actually honestly shocked that there are any positive reviews. For one he treats you like you have the intelligence level of a pea. Secondly the wait was always very long and he would come in for two minutes or less and talk over you to avoid any questions . I had a cancer scare and he was rude and uncaring . Turned out to be pcos , which by the way is still untreated bc I havent been able to find another doctor yet , but hated going to see him so much I just couldnt go back . Please Im begging you if youre considering him , dont you will be extremely disappointed.

I have to say I heard a lot of bad things about this doctor and I was scared to go in but I did just to see I think it was the best thing I ever did for myself he is an awesome doctor he place I.u.d and he did a beautiful job I have no pain and I cant even feel it and I have had an I.u.d before and it hurt at all the time I thing he is very nice and he deserves credit for this I cant put in words how happy I am and I also think the ladys that work there are amazing! The Doctor Samuel Chacon @this build lack many thing from start to finish. He pretty much walk in the room didnt look up from the clip board. Didnt cover any of the question that my wife and I had even about the miscarriage she had at 8weeks, He didnt want to ask her about that or if shes worried or anything, he skip her questions and started talking about something else. Pretty much seem like a nine to five job, that he didnt like. Off this you can tell the peers in the office had the same attitude. When we ask for more information. They all seem that this would be to much work to find out. I understand they deal with people at high volume but this is not a Hair Vut or a Fast Food service, this is our son or daughter that I want to make sure get everything from day one if going alright even if we cant see our child fully. Dont treat people like cattle coming in to see you, plus this is my wife first time please answer her like you care if our baby is going to come out healthy. My wife and I decided we needed a new Doctor and they told her she had to come in to sign the paperwork for them to fex it over but it would take 30days fex one paperwork they had on her but it would take them 30days to fexs it over.. My wife call 40days later to see what was going on and still they didnt fex her paperwork and she waited after that and still they didnt fex her paperwork.. It was now 50days later and they didnt want to help her go see her new doctor, which made my wife Cry and put stress on her and our baby because of them she couldnt see anyone until her paperwork was send and the last time she saw Dr. CHACON was when she was 7weeks and now being 17weeks and 4days they were not willing to help her out.. This isnt how you should treat people and one who is pregnant.. She doesnt need the stress on her or our baby.. DONT NOT GO THIS DOCTOR FOR ANYTHING.. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE!!Wish they had a Zero stars for cases like this!!!

My wife has gone to Dr. Chacon and let me save you some time. Find a DIFFERENT doctor. My wife felt said that he only half listened to her and that she felt like he didnt care about her at all and was just in it for the money. She went to him for two visits just to make sure she wasnt being unreasonable but after the second visit said was looking for another doctor. I saw him interact with one lady and got the same impression that he just wanted to get through his patients as fast as he could so he could go home. He as this may be a little nitpicky but he always wears jeans which doesnt really seem professional for a doctor whose seeeing patients. So do yourselves a favor and talk to friend or look up other reviews and find another OBGYN. Theres a bunch in the Reno area. If you know any good ones please post.Hope this review saves someone a wasted trip. He was located in Carson City and its no surprise that he had to come to Reno to find a client base. Im surprised with over 10k views no reviews have been written yet but Im happy to go first :) Happy hunting.

Dr.Chacon is the worst doctor I have ever been to in my life! To be fair though, he might be a step above all those prison doctors you read about in public complaints from the ACLU. Maybe. Its a close call. Dr. Chacon lacks any compassion whatsoever, more into quantity of patients rather than quality of service given, gives treatment to patients as if all our bodies were exactly the same, will yell at patients, is rude, condescending, threatening, but more importantly neglectful. He allows his staff to be unprofessional, demeaning (however, likely just following suit), and is without any sign he remembers taking the Hippocratic oath. He is utterly harmful. I had to find another doctor to do my aftercare post surgery, ending up in the hospital as well simply because he refused to examine me when, as it turned out, I had an actual infection. Unless youre on Medicare or Medicaid and this is literally the only doctor left in town that will take you, RUN!! And even then Id still RUN. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment. Its inhumane. Oh, and lest I forget, if you require anything other than Vicodin for pain management be prepared to be labled and treated as a drug addict !! I mean, hey, who knew Vicodin is the end all cure all, the one drug on the market that works equally the same for everyone on the planet? I do hope this saves you from all the anguish I have endured.

Dr. Chacon and his MA are amazing! BUT their front office staff is horrible! On my first visit I called to see if I can get in early since I was near by the lady said yes he has an earlier appointment open. When I got there the lady stated i would still have to wait for my appointment time. So I waited for an hour and a half. Today on my second visit they called me 10 minutes before my appointment to push it back I came in at the time they wanted me to come in and Im still waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to get called back. And the staff does NOT have the decency to communicate with me what Is going on.

Dr.Samuel ChaconOath as a physician broken and charged with a misdemeanor and probably still get to practice Obstetrics is Sickening. 10/9/18RENO!!!!Please help me spread the word about Dr Samuel Chacón gynecologist in Reno.My mom went to him last month and was called after her first visit to schedule a SURGERY for full hysterectomy. WITHOUT giving her any results of any kind. When my mom asked for results they gave her attitude and told her she couldnt get any records for at least 30 days. But that in the meantime she should schedule surgery for Oct 17th and do an ultrasound and biopsy. Later they called and said she had an abnormal Pap smear and to move forward with the biopsy.On the day of the scheduled biopsy I went to Reno. Luckily my mom has good support from children who can see the red flags and looked up Dr Chacón.SO MANY WOMEN told their story, a very similar one to my moms, of how Dr Chacón gave no results or implied or simply lied about them having cancer or some abnormal test and that there were no other options than to do surgery!!!!Today my mom had a 2nd opinión with Dr Pollock and guess what the results were.....(Drum roll)......Normal. The Pap smear did not show abnormal results indicative of urgent surgery as Dr Chacóns office had told my mom. The ultrasound was clear. And there is no indication to move forward with more tests NOR would she have to go through SURGERY!!!!!Dr Chacón targets All women!!!Women who do not get a second opinion. But his office is filled with Spanish speaking women. Latinas you are being targeted!!!Dont let this be you. Please follow your instinct, see those red flags and find another doctor!!!!!!Before Chacon cuts you open unnecessarily just to make his money!!!!!!!UPDATE 10/10/18Since my post I have heard of one other person very close to me who was hurt by Dr Chacon! And another who my mom knows who actually went through the surgery last year and there is not a day that goes by where she is not in pain as a result of surgery! Another stranger who posted on my post about her experience of a hysterectomy, and how surgery has left her hurt, to say the least even 10 years later. PLEASE PLEASE SHARE THIS POST IF you live in RENO!!!

Very caring people who take the time to help you with your concerns and treat you with such a great amount of respect. Dr.Chacon is very knowledgeable and has always worked with me to find the root of the problem and has always had perfect solutions and answers for my questions. It’s a very friendly and welcoming place as well. I highly recommend going here.

I saw him. I was supposed to have a double ovary removal. He left one even though I agreed 6 times I was okay with going into menopause uber early. Now 2 years later. I am dealing with possibly something worse. Because he couldnt do what I signed papers for. Then lied and said he couldnt find that ovary. Then lied and said it was in a location. That was too dangerous to remove. Well guess what folks. Its coming out whether anyone likes it or not. Under the age of 40. And thats the way the cookie crumbles. How about do what a patient signs for. Due to family history. And dont worry about what risks it may cause later when they tell you they are full aware and ready to take any vitamins and get checked every 3 to 6 months for a couple years til it levels out. Ive been doing this doctor thing for almost 20 years. And he hands down has let me down hard core. As well as someone who was a best friend. Plus he almost killed my ex wifes baby due to not paying attention. And her. So honestly. I think the pregnancy center is a better option to begin with. It isnt where Im going. But they can lead you other places if you need surgery. And they have midwives. Just boycott this doctor if you want to survive. Or your baby. My bladder and insides are all messed up. And I am having to do other procedures to fix his screw ups. And this wasnt more then 4 years ago. Surgery options really havent changed for these surgeries.

Dr. Chacon is fantastic! He gets to the point and answers any of your questions. His staff is great too. Im glad I chose Dr. Chacon to do my surgery.

I absolutely love Dr. Chacon and his staff! They have been so nice to me! When I called and had questions, the nurse remembered me, and answered all my questions.

My only complaint was that I waited an hour to see him. He apologised for it in the beginning & end. My very first visit was fine. I’m interested in the results of my Pap smear, biopsy & ultrasound.

I Went to him with my first pregnancy he didnt even give the hospital my records he was missing them, and didnt even know I had preclampissa. Now Im pregnant for the second time and started to go to him for a second chance and now they are just Very, unprofessional and very rude especially the front desk I was only sitting there for about 5 minutes and they were being awful towards me and my significant other I would highly suggest going to a different doctor.

My experience with the staff, Dr, and office ambiance are all perfect, I feel well taken care of by everyone. The staff and Dr. are all competent, they take care of business!I’m not the only one who feels this way, evidenced by a diverse bustling practice.

Dr. Chacon delivered my daughter, and I have nothing good to say. He was disrespectful, condescending and treated me as though I was a burden. He lacks skill suturing (or he was in a hurry and did a horrible job), and he left gauze inside of my body after he was finished. Dont walk, run to another practice.

Unbelievable horrible care Im a high risk and went into early labor.. after already having two c-sections he had me sent home... was supposed to send prescriptions to pharmacy called his office 5 times still never sent it... staff is unbelievably rude!!! Women of reno, for the love of god, do NOT go to this man. I have heard from many that he recommends surgery for a majority of his patients, when they may in fact not need it at all. find someone else, or get a second opinion.

Awful. He was super busy and he honestly seemed to not care about me and why I was there. I paid 300$ just for him to tell me what I already know. He didnt even spend a minute with me so I can ask him the questions I had or to tell him the symptoms I was Experiencing. I wouldnt recommend going here at all.

If you like being told by a man with a face resembling a oragoutangan that underwent botched plastic surgery that your reproductive problems are all in your head while you cry for your recently lost child as he continues a diolauge that angers your spouse and leaves you wondering why didnt just get online and seek medical advice from Reddit instead. At least Reddit user have a finer grasp of the English language and their advice will be just as impractical and much more entertaining.

So other then the fact the this place is a great when it comes to pregnancies.. i am throughly upset with this whole situation... first while in the lobby waiting to be called back to a room i was ask up to the window by a nurse to see if i had left my child in my car (which i didnt) but was the only one of 5 women sitting there to be asked to the window regarding that issue .. second sat in a room for over an hour half naked waiting to be seen and when i finally was tired of waiting and checked myself out and said i didnt want to reschedule my appointment i was called less then 5 mins after leaving and was told i was next for the doctor to see and that it was important i be seen ... well if it was soo darn important why did it take soo long for someone to see me or better yet for a nurse to come in and check on me while i sat there like my time wasnt being wasted... but like i stated the doctor are amazing

Be prepared to check in but no longer than 10 min late , but be prepared to wait for at least an hour+ every appointment I say this if you have younger children under 13 because they arnt allowed to attend with you so be sure to make sure your childcare can handle it they also like to schedule last min so deffinatly be sure to have back up care and deffinatly inform your boss prior about the wait time as you will be there chillin for at least 2 hours Id bring something to do and snacks , water is provided though Id also recommend obviously not bringing multiple people with you as the wait rooms get very full with limited seating

While the place is very clean the waiting room is very small and the staff is very rude and this Dr takes his own sweet time to see a park these people dont know the meaning of being on time for their patients .
