Community Health Center of Yavapai - Prescott

I had my first one-on-one Medicare Wellness appointment with the new director Dr. Kalpas. I had my vitals checked and at the end of the exam, the doctor created some referrals for normal bone density testing, lab tests, etc. The Doctor was very nice and was a good listener.

I found out my FNP, Ms. Anthony, moved here and, despite having private insurance, I was able to follow her. The front office staff is ALWAYS incredibly helpful and friendly. The online check-in method makes the wait time minimal, with the longest time waited for a scheduled appointment being approximately 10 min. I dont regret moving from the office I was at and I am so grateful I was able to find where where Ms. Anthony moved to (and even more grateful the staff matches her amazing care)! Thank you all for what you do! If I could, Id give 10 stars!!

Receptionist was so rude! We came to her appointment and she would not attend me “give me a second” but she would attend other American customers. She also said rudely not expecting my mom to understand to tell that lady if she doesn’t understand to give her a second. I would not recommend if you don’t want to be racially profiled

First I want to state that I generally am pleased with the service with Suzie Viaud that I have received for more than 3 years.My issue is a complaint regarding Madison Smith, PA that I saw for the first time today re allergies. I was scheduled for an allergy shot, which I have gotten here several times. Madison was rude, disrespectful and totally unprofessionall ! I have never been yelled at before by anyone in this facility before. I will not see her again or allow anyone to treat me in this way. I will find another provider if I must see Madison for allergy shots in the future.

Let me start by saying that this public service agency isnt all bad. They get two stars because Spencer is awesome and their reception isnt terrible. The waits to be seen are typical and the receptionists are usually very helpful. Spencer Claussen is great, I have seen him several times and he has always listened to my gripes and pains and taken the steps necessary for me to find answers.Today I met with Maddison Smith for the first (and final) time because she had the most immediately available appointment. She is relatively new to this practice and let me just say I will never be seeing her for care again. I had to argue my point about the way I felt, because she told me I was wrong and gave me a sarcastic sorry that wasnt the answer you wanted.I pleaded my case to get more imaging done on my neck (should a patient ever have to plead their own case!???) And she replied with, I doubt well see anything new.Because I suffer from constant pain in my neck (within the last 1.5 years) I see a physical therapist for it as regularly as insurance allows (Im only early 30s by the way), she told me Ill need to stoop to my childrens level so that Im not bending over so much. I am physically fit, a healthy weight and probably the same age as Maddison. I have new physical limitations that have arisen because of this neck pain and cannot use the upper portion of my body for any kind of exercise or my vertebrae get stuck and Im back to my PT.Im pretty sure I have early Osteoarthritis in my cervical neck which is causing the inflammation and strain, around the C1-C2 area (it may be more advanced by now as its getting worse), but she stated, No, its most likely muscular.Shes a young PA thinking she knows it all. She lacks the basics of compassion and has a rude bedside manner. I dont like reviewing someone this way, in fact I would usually avoid this altogether, but she sent me home in tears. I have literal pain in my neck, a headache caused from tension and no hope beasides do some yoga, which I cant. It throws my neck out and sends me to my physical therapist.See her at your own risk.

The Front and Back office staff are always rude and unprofessional. Good luck actually having a person answer a phone or return a call. Useless Socialism at its finest at this Prescott office.

Suzie is a wonderful FNP. She listens to you and offers solutions to help you with your health. She is easy to talk to and a very nice lady!

Dr Spencer Claussen is our very FAVORITE DOCTOR (FNP)in this whole world.....ges knowledgeable, professionsl,caring,sympathetic, fun to be around...I can go on & on about him, be ause we TRULY LIKE HIM...if you actually go and consult with him, I cannot see you walking away without msking an appt to see him as your Prinary Care Physician as we have....how often can one say they Actually like their Dr????We can...Dr Spencer Claussen (FNP)😀Also I have to say that even though this is community health center, I can tell you from my experience (both as patient and working in a dr office)that this is to us the smoothest running,professional, efficient, clean,fun & friendly staff...none of them are ever rude,hurried,unprofessional...ITS AMAZING....you should give them a try if your ins is accepted here...even if you have to pay(which we did in the beginning)it is still oh so worth it...at least we think so🙂
