Planned Parenthood - Portland Health Center

PP staff have created the most caring, thoughtful, welcoming and safe environment I have ever had the privilege of entering. They are so incredibly kind and engaging. I had the warmest interactions from start to check out. Their medical knowledge and experience is unparalleled. My medical procedure was quick and easy, and I encourage any person who is seeking medical care of any variety to see out PP in Portland. I am so impressed with the people I met here and appreciate all they are doing to add love, compassion and care into the world.

It was a little scary seeing that appointments are booked far out.. But thankfully I caught it early and got an appointment in time. All the staff members were fantastic, super chill and down to earth. Made my visit way more comfortable, especially allowing me a support person to be with me the whole way. Definitely made it less scary, and an easier procedure.

I have been going to this PP since I moved here 5 years ago. Up until recently they had been the most amazing, patient, kind, thoughtful people. I dont know who is working there now, but the last several months they have been so rude, inconsiderate, dismissive, etc. I just had the absolute worst and demeaning experience of my life. Never have I been so ignored and mistreated by a doctor. I had attempted to refill my meds about a week before I would have run out. This is the smart thing to do, and should have been easy. However, I needed to have it sent to a different pharmacy, which I have used before through them and for this same prescription. This should not have been an issue, but it appears the doctors in charge at PP decided that I didnt know what I was asking, continued to ignore me/push me off to someone else, or straight up tell me that I needed to tell the pharmacies to transfer it and explained how to do this thing that WAS DONE YEARS AGO. The pharmacy and my prescription have been in my PP MyChart this whole time, it would take two seconds to see its already in their system, all I needed was for a doctor to fill the script. That was all. I TOLD them several times that was all, but they decided they know better and talked down to me, explained things to me like I was a stupid child despite them being the ones that refused to listen to me and what I needed. It was so simple. I just needed them to fill a script and send it to another pharmacy that was in my chart and has done it before. But instead they spent a week telling me I was wrong and it was my duty to do this and refusing to fill it. Finally I got them to listen to me and fill it...but then they cancelled the other one so I no longer can grab the one that was already filled at the old pharmacy and now I have to wait even longer to get my meds. So now thanks to them, I have to go who knows how long without my meds which causes extreme vertigo and also you know, my chronic conditions arent helped now. All because they spent a week arguing with me instead of listening to what I was saying I needed. Idk, maybe theres something Im missing here but to me, this is the worst treatment Ive ever gotten. It truly felt like they didnt care and didnt have the time to even try to understand what I was asking. Honestly they either had poor reading comprehension or just didnt bother really reading what I asked, and jumped to the conclusion that I was wrong/confused about what I was asking. They played with my health instead of taking two seconds longer to read or asking clarifying questions to understand, choosing to make me wait until id already run out and talking down to me while making incorrect assumptions about what was needed despite my several attempts to explain via email and phone. I am so beyond angry right now. I should not have to be suffering like this without my meds because of their negligence and ego.

I used to love planned parenthood, but now its way too hard to even get in EVER. Ive been rescheduled four times now, have went without birth control due to lack of staffing and the wrong b.c being sent in. Pray you guys figure this out bc people are going without and the whole situation is extremely stressful.Getting sent to the call center instead of the Portland locations phone is such a run around and huge headache. 🙃PLEASE stop sending calls to the call center theyre rude.

Went to my first Planned Parenthood in New England today. Had to change my appt. to a new one and was able to same-day. Even though the appointment took a little longer than we anticipated, the doctor and assistant (not correct word for it but ya know) were superrr encouraging and calming through the whole process, as well as for the aftercare. From the setting up of the appointment, to the end, I have never felt more cared for at any health clinic/office. I’ll forever be grateful to make my decision with this team. Thank you guys so, so much.

Highly recommend! The staff are so friendly especially Emily Hansen and Ero. I am deaf and was anxious about communication, however, they did a wonderful job so did the front desk staff. I felt so comfortable there. Please consider this place!

Overall wonderful experience. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I had some questions and concerns and got them all answered! Kristin at the front desk was amazing, as was the nurse, Emma, and the physician, Emily. The waiting area was super comfortable and colorful and the music was creating great vibes. :)

My appointment was at 2:40, arrived five minutes early, didn’t get seen until 3:20, waited 20 more minutes to see the doctor who talked with me for maybe two minutes (after I had just paid for more parking of course) and then walked me out. An hour and a half to pee in a cup, such waste of time.

Superb! What a treasure. Welcoming, friendly efficient admin staff. Remarkably warm relaxed medical professionals who immediately put me at ease. No awkwardness or sense of being rushed through. I felt listened to, taken seriously, and treated with great thoroughness and care. Also, the sliding scale for payment almost made me cry with relief! A beacon of light in an overall horrid medical system.

I come here for my trans-related care and I have not been let down. Amazing staff! That makes all the difference, for sure. They are VERY attentive and always take their time with me and all my questions.The waiting room being a little worn out is my only real complaint.

The office space was very comfortable and soothing and The nurse practitioner I saw, I believe her name was Brynn, had the best bedside manner in any doctor I have seen. Everyone was extremely kind, informative, and organized- what you want in a doctors office or health care facility.

Appointment took 20 minutes start to end, was a new patient and got a birth control script easily. LGBT friendly. Thank you!!

Poor services.... Sat there for 6 hrs for them to turn around an tell me they wont even be doing start my abortion for another 45 mins.... I had made an appointment that I had to wait 2 wks...then people that walked in after me went before me.. I was the last one they were going to work on till I got upset ..... An told them exactly what I am saying now.., office was uncomfortable it was to many people in the office for it s size .... Do not go to this ... There s a couple other clinic s that is much better than the plan parent hood

Staff is always very sweet and welcoming. They seem to make the experience a little easier to get through 😔

These women helped me get my life back and I will always be grateful.
