NextCare Urgent Care Port Lavaca

My second time to go to this urgent care and once again I received outstanding services. Had them remove sutures from my left hand. I needed two hands to achieve this goal but only one was available. Two of the stitches were just too deep to do on my own so I had them take care of it for me. They also noticed some infection going on so they cleaned it up real good and placed sterile gause on with some wrapping. Hats off to UC for taking great care of my needs. Y’all are the greatest

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Also there was almost no wait time. I travel for work and they helped me be able to make the trip back home.

The PA or I believe NP was amazing, there was a little bit of a weight cuz some emergencies came in but she was very very helpful and very informative I would definitely go back there again!

Everyone who tended to us this evening was really good. They went out of their way to make sure my seven yr old felt comfortable and safe before performing any procedures.

Giving 3 stars because the lady at the front desk was not at all friendly or helpful. She was not the least bit welcoming. But the nurse and the doctor were both AMAZING and I definitely feel I received good care from them

Easy checking in and the nicest nurse checked me out and doctor lady came in and told me what was wrong. Wonderful staff. Even though I am not from here they treated me like family. Definitely recommend.

Nextcare in Port Lavaca is my go to whenever sore throat, tummy aches happen. My experience in this location has always been good; friendly, fast, knowledgeable & cost effective. I dislike the Victoria (Sam Houston location) front staff there are not very helpful & take a long time to check you in as if they are always busy, on the contrary here in PL front staff are always attentive, friendly & helpful.

No problem switching time. Dr. Very informative and gave me valuable information about meds. Able to work on Monday. Terrific

Very good experience. Checking in was easy and the staff was exceptional. First time to visit and total experience was excellent. From check in to check out was done at a good pace. They answered all my questions and concerns and prescribed needed medication. They were very compassionate and helpful with me while feeling ill. I have not been to a doctor for years due to good health and dreaded having to go but was very delighted and surprised at the whole experience. I will now go back anytime if needed

The crew at NextCare Urgent Care in Port Lavaca, TX, were on the ball. From the time I walked through the front door until the time I left, they were ready for me. They were all very easy to talk to, and very professional in every way. I highly recomment their services!

I would give negative stars if I could,We called and asked if yall could reset a dislocated shoulder, you checked with the DR and said yes. We arrived and checked in, had vitals taken and then was informed by the Dr you did not have the X-ray ability nor the training. Thank you for extending my discomfort by 30+ minutes while you tried to bang my insurance for care you had no intention on providing, blatant money grab, what happened to first, do no harm. Oh and the nurse tried to put a sling on the wrong arm as we were leaving.... Anyone in this area do not waste your time on this CS outfit.

I had open heart surgery in April, 2024. I am employed at the Calhoun County Sr Center as a Driver. I have been to your location on 2 occasions for a physical in order to drive again and transport passengers. Each visit has resulted in a nightmare, even though I passed the physical on 2 occasions. The attending FNP there continues to require additional testing before passing and allowing me to drive again. My real concern is that she didn’t present a COMPLETE list of tests I needed to pass before allowing me to drive. Each and every time We talk, she needs something else from my cardiologist. It’s at the point of being ridiculous! I was released on June 3rd by my cardiologist to have light driving duty and, it is now July 25th! Thanks

I took my son in for the first time due to his doctor being unavailable and it being an urgent situation. Everything went smooth from checking in to being discharged. Nurse and Doc were very thorough, I am very pleased!

My experience at the Port Lavaca NextCare Urgent Care was the best medical attention one could ask for. The experience was better than an ER. From reception to treeagoue to doctor, everyone was kind and ever-so-focused on my needs. I am ever so thankful for the assistance and I walked away feeling good about the outcome.

My visit was easy and quick. Everyone from front desk to back was very accommodating and professional.

The personnel is great but the facility on the other hand needs maintenance. Half of the lights in the building do not work, the front door does not open automatically as it should, the air conditioner does not work properly, the bathroom faucets handles do not work right properly.I have been coming to this facility for 3 years and every year it gets worse due to lack of maintenance.

It was a wait, but not horrible, and it was extra busy. I have no complaints. Staff was very friendly and compassionate- doc was a gem and apologized for the wait. Place is clean and comfortable. I’m a medical professional and I approve.

It was almost time for them to close and they graciously waited for me to get my insurance together. I was stapled up on my leg and on my way. Everything went smoothly. I appreciated their grace and kindness dealing with my injury.

Went in at about 4 PM to see someone for a bad sinus infection. I was seen promptly in about 15 minutes by the nurse first And then the nurse practitioner came in. Asked me what was going on. End, one shot of Rocephin and two prescriptions. This process took only about an hour. I was very happy with my visit everyone there was very nice. Thank you so much

I have always had excellent care at your clinic. And everyone is very friendly and competent. There was a long wait but it could have been because of test resultsI am very pleased with them.

They went above and beyond. They called to make sure my insurance was in network and then spent as much time as was needed to make sure all of the left over splinters from something I stepped on were removed from my foot, washed out the wound, and gave me a tetanus shot. A+++ service and bedside manner.

Following a months long problem with congestion and breathing problems, I went to Next Care. They readily diagnosed that I developed COVID on top of a lung infection that Ive had since March. A shot of antibiotic and a shot of steroids and the next day. I am feeling better than I have in over a month. Thanks a lot.

We went in on a Sunday and from reception to nurse was very nice and professional. The FNP was great. Very positive experience. Clean place! Will go back and tell others how nice it was.

My Wife and I have been waiting since 11am for testing for covid. It is now 1:30, they have processed 4 persons in that time. It is 100 degrees out, Im running low on gass and a/c is dying. Just called them and they say very busy withe pateints. Only 4 non med. cars lot

Were not from the area and they took us very quickly. The doctor was extremely nice and super helpful with our baby who was sick with a stomach bug. She gave us good information, and even called the next morning to check on our little one. Easily the best urgent Care Ive ever been to and most involved doctor.

From the moment I walked in I felt that they were there for me. I was seen immediately and I have never had a medical facility make me feel more welcome a nd cared for. The entire staff were very professional and friendly. Dr. Lori Karl listen to my concerns, and I felt she really listened to me. She examined me, and scheduled me to go to the hospital for some further testing. What really impressed me was that the doctor called me back the same evening with my results from all of the tests and scans. I don’t think I have ever had a doctor take such an interest in my health and concerns. I was so happy with the way I was treated, and to have the actual doctor call me back the same day was awesome. I really wish she could be my primary care doctor. I would highly recommend this facility, they make you feel that you actually matter.

Making an appointment was super easy. I was a new patient so I knew Id have a lot of paperwork but I was very impressed that most of it was already completed when I got there. The rest was super simple. The Nurse was very friendly and made me feel comfortable while taking my temperature, blood pressure, and medical history. The facility was clean and organized. The provider was very thorough and knowledgeable. She took the amount of time I felt necessary for my issue. I got my diagnosis and she made sure I understood the diagnosis and my treatment options. I was given great instructions and an opportunity to ask questions if I needed to. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend them to others. Thanks for taking care of me!

My wait time was short and the receptionist was very friendly. The dr was very knowledgeable about my situation and treated me accordingly.

The nurse was amazing and took my pain seriously but the doctor she was the opposite she didnt even ask my pain level or where hurts and when i tried to explain im in excruciating pain and i have a concussion she said to just put heat on it i told her its my whole upper body and she was like i can give you pain meds i was crying because of the pain so we left and went to the ER where they gave me shots in my hips for the pain a wheel chair and got me a CAT scan to make sure my concussion wasnt a brain bleed i got some at home meds i left the ER feeling safe and cared for the exact opposite of how i felt in this urgent care

UPDATE: Returned to the clinic today as my husband needed medical attention. JD is gone and there is a NP there, we will not be returning as long as she’s there, she didn’t appear competent and falsified records on several items on paperwork that was given to us to give to the ER.JD and Staff were amazing, very professional, proficient and very informative. Even tho I was in a lot pain they made my visit bearable. My family and I will visit this clinic again as needed.

During a recent trip to the coast, I got stung by a sting ray at kings fisher beach. My friend took me to NextCare Urgent care in port Lavaca which is the closest we could find. Upon arrival, I was met by professional medical staff who brought me a wheelchair as I was stung on the foot. Not only did they treat my wound, but they also comforted me because I was freaking out and in so much pain. I stayed at the urgent care for about 1 hour and left with 90% of my pain gone and detailed instructions on how to take care of my wound. This has been the best medical service I have received in my whole life. Jack and Cody were professional, fast, and comforting. Everyone working there was fantastic.I hope nobody will ever get stung by a sting ray. but if you do, this is the urgent care you should go to for treatment!

Called around 3:45 pm and asked how to get a Covid test and they walked me through it online and had me set to see them at 5:30 today. They were very helpful and when I checked in it was super fast and easy. Very child friendly place as well. :)

I evidently was forgotten after my check in. I waited for 2 hours before getting help from a kind lady just leaving. When i finally got seen the clinic very clean and comfortable and the nurse very nice. I am hopeful this was an atypical experience.

Been to this location three separate times, it has always been very clean, the staff has been very friendly, compassionate and although quick very thorough. They have fixed me up every time.

I love our local Twin Fountains when one of us needs to be seen quickly and after work and school hours. I’ve been using them for many years and have complete faith in the Staff!

Very little wait time before I was seen by the nurse. Very pleasant working with her. Dr. Gray saw me right after that. He was very professional and diagnosed my condition accurately. Very good bedside manner. Would recommend.

Quickly got registered, triaged, and 2 injections, was given information on the prescriptions called in to my pharmacy and what each was for and how to take each one. All staff was friendly, knowledgeable and precise. Thank you. This was 100x faster than my PCP.

Wonderful, friendly staff, besides computers being down that was not their fault, they were so fast and very willing to hear what was going on.

I scheduled my appointment online . Once I got there the entire office was friendly and helpful. I loved my nurse and Dr. Lori. I work in the Veterinary field so I know how important the whole check in , waiting, seeing the doctor and getting out of office time is important, these ladies passed my test.

Twin Fountains in Port Lavaca is the best!!!I was in and out within about 30 mins. Wonderful Dr.(Gray) and great nurse. Check in was quick and easy.Other places in PL you have to make appointment for 2-4 days in advance, sometimes you just cant wait that long. I Love how the doctor explains EVERYTHING to me meds, diagnosis etc. They always make sure they take the proper time with you and are not trying to rush you out the door. Job well done Twin Fountains in PL.

I went in to get a covid test and 3 months later got sent a bill for $250. For a simple covid test. Now I get to spend hours jumping through hoops because someone here messed up something. Do better.

I fell into the ocean in Port Lavaca and got many cuts from oysters, two of which required staples. This all happened on Mothers Day at 4:30 pm. We arrived at the Urgent care by 4:57 pm and they were willing to see me, which you cant always say about urgent care facilities. And then I got straight in, they cleaned me up, gave me staples, and got me on antibiotics immediately. I am very appreciative for Lucy, Gabriel, and JD for their quick and effective work to make sure I left the urgent care facility altogether and provided for as I went off to tend to my wounds. I highly recommend!

I am a cancer patient five hours away from this clinic. I was in the area and got very sick. As soon as I walked in the clinic they took me to the back. The doctor and all the staff were wonderful. The doctor called me the next day to make sure I was doing better.

Professional service. Not a long wait. Doctor listened and addressed my concerns about an allergic reaction. This is my second visit and will most certainly utilize their services in the future.

I love the staffing at this facility. The clinic is always spotless, the personnel are kind, timely, know their jobs, really listen to what you have to say and They do not cut you off explaining your situation to get me out the door. They have always given me the right treatment for the situation at hand. Iff the situation is more then they feel comfortable, they will recommend next steps and explain fully why. It could be type of diagnostic equipment or a suspected more serious situation. With all of the different viruses and colds, some one like I who had a very very limited immune system, I don’t walk in feeling like I need a hazmat suit as their are people walking around everywhere without proper face masks or coughing and sneezing in your close proximity. When I go to so many of the crowed doctors reception areas or emergency rooms I often feel like I am at risk of picking something up that I didn’t come there with. People should be educated to wear masks and hand sanitizers constantly when these different facilities.I want to thank these folks for ALWAYS doing an exceptional job! Thank you for helping me!

We have used Twin Fountains Medical Clinic many times in the past. Always professional, friendly and quick to get us in. I wish they could be our regular doctor. I hope they are in Port Lavaca forever because we will go as long as they are here! Thank you to the drs., PA’s, nurses and staff for everything you do for us and always with a smile!

Online checkin was ok, but when we got there seemed like they couldn’t did my info so we had to do it all again.But once we set up everything again, the Covid test was quick and easy.

Lorij recognized that I came in early with all the symptoms of flu, even though I tested negative. She gave me something anyway.

Terrible! My husband went in after having an extremely high fever for 3 days. He had over exerted himself in the marsh the prior week- which we told them. 102.8 fever upon entering their facility. They were only concerned about Covid- They did a Covid and A/B flu test (which were both negative)then charged him $475 and sent him home with NO LAB WORK DONE. After continued decline, we went to the local clinic the next day were they did do lab work and he spent three days hospitalized with kidney failure. Horrible “Urgent Care” center!

As a first-time patient I got an appointment for the same day and was in and out an hour and a half and cleaning my x-rays. The doctor and the staff are very very friendly and professional and I wish all my doctors appointments where this easy.

I received excellent care with spot-on diagnosis and treatment. Recovering quickly because of early treatment by Dr. Daniel Squyres. I would recommend the location and staff to everyone.

I absolutely love dr. Gray and the clinic staff they are super awesome and really great with kids I normally dont leave reviews for anywhere I go but I highly suggest taking yourself or your children or anyone you know to the Twin Fountains especially if dr. Gray is working hes super patient and really knows what hes doing and thats really hard to find in doctors now days a lot of places may have good doctors but terrible staff even the staff there is super amazing and wonderful with children as well five stars for them for sure

This urgent care is a joke. My husband and I came here on 5/30/19 we were the only people there. I asked to be seen bc I had a very severe sunburn on my legs and wanted to make sure it wasnt sun poisoning or infected because I could barely walk on my left leg. The receptionist said they didnt accept my insurance so I said I would pay cash for o problem. She said ok and then went back to speak with the doctor. After a few minutes she comes back out and says the doctor says there is nothing we can do for you. I was like what? How can he say that when he hasnt even looked at me? She then says use over the counter cream and stay out of the sun... Are you kidding me?!?!? My husband was so mad we left and went to the local emergency room and was treated for sun poisoning and had to be given a prescription bc the burn was so bad and blistered. Who ever the doctor on call at this urgent care was should be ashamed of himself and shouldnt be in this profession.

I really liked this experience when my husband pcp couldn’t see him we went there got right in.The doctor explain things to us and dips he even let me go back there with my husband and explain things to me so I knew better of how to care for my husband told me things that I needed to do things I needed to go by how to take notes and write down different things for his own PCP I didn’t get the doctors name but wow he was awesome

The dr refused to see me because I wouldn’t take the COVID test. I told them I was around someone with the flu. She said people are saying it’s the flu when it’s really COVID. Them said all my insurance would pay for is the COVID test and I don’t even have insurance.

Went in bc I am feeling sick, general sickness with some flu like symptoms. All they did was take my temp, pulse and pulse ox and test me for COVID. I left without a prescription, no closee to feeling better. I know were in a pandemic but this could be the flu, I could have an infection, etc. Just feels like all of a sudden other illnesses arent important.

On road trip and needed medical attention Thank God for Next Care /Urgent Care I got Fast service and very courteous got back on the road trip quickly highly recommend it

Definitely would go back, Twin Fountains was one of the most freindliest clinics I have ever been too We are currently out of town at the moment and sadly I was running on horrible strep throat so I searched online and this one had the best amazing reviews ....I am soo happy they made me feel like i was at home , very welcoming and freindly I give it 5 stars and definitely recommend it .

Went to get COVID -19 Tested . Would be 5 star but the wait was longer than thought after set appointment. Expect wait of over an hour for testing with appointment

Twin fountains medical clinic in port lavaca is our go- to walk in clinic for evenings and weekends. They always do whatever they can to find out what is ailing us and go above and beyond to check on us later and extend treatment when needed. I have used Twin Fountains for many years and we have always been well taken care of, from school physicals, to broken bones, to illness. Thank you to the staff for your care and guidance!
