Ponca City Urgent Care & Family Practice

I love all the drs and nurses and billing personnel. My family has been going here for almost 8 years and I honestly have no complaints. Katie Biby is the best person there. She was really concerned with issues my son was having and followed up to make sure he was ok. I myself see Chris Greenhagen and I’ve never had a healthcare provider that actually listens to me and makes sure we stay on track with my diabetes.

Amy is extremely condescending and didnt want to prescribe antibiotics for my wifes tooth infection that is literally starting to swell her face up. Absolute waste of time and money to hear a doctor explain what antibiotics are for when we arent 5 year olds.

So recently AMC took over Ponca City urgent care and what a disaster it has been. I went in for urgent care visit. It took over 2 hours to be seen due to staff negligence in forgetting to check me in. Management refuses to not charge me and wants nothing to do with taking care of me. Beware of AMC they are worthless.

Well Ive been going there for a while now and no issues and they have done great for me so especially Chris Greenhagen and his nurse they are awesome

Still the best place in town with the most experience, personable, staff I have dealt with. If you sign in online, you have the option of waiting in your car. If you just drop in wait time are no longer that going to you regularly doctors appointment. Very clean, and the staff is always friendly.

They were so kind and professional, I had never been in this office before but they were more than happy to help me out.

Normally this is our go to spot. Per our last visit, we will not be back. Booked an appointment online, like always, get there 10 mins early. Filled out the little white paper, my son (age 6) was having trouble breathing. struggling. Also included he has asthma on the information spot. Waited 25 mins past the appointment time before I spoke up. I finally say something to the front desk lady for her to tell me she’s gonna grab a nurse. Nurse & dr both tell us to go straight to the hospital. He was gasping for air & had no color to his face but we sat it up in the waiting room for 25 mins before anything was done. Luckily we got to Blackwell hospital in time; He was in complete respiratory distress! Do better.

I had put off going to the Doctor for a week, but I knew I needed antibiotics to get better. I drove by 2 other Urgent care centers and they were FULL! I did the online check-in and received a text that my appointment time was ready almost immediately. I tried to fill out and submit my ID and insurance online, but for some reason it wasnt working. Other than that, everything else went smoothly. In and out with a prescription for the antibiotics that I needed in less than 45 minutes.

Was a walk in today my wait time was quick even though I signed in and did paper work, staff was friendly and caring, Dr was amazing and I was in and out in no time. Thank you for the excellent service and care.

I always choose this urgent care when I need immediate assistance and my regular doctor isnt open. I did have a small wait, but it was a new year and I had to fill out new paperwork. I was in and out in no time once I went back.

Im just aggravated and its not your fault got an email to my employer for being rude. I guess some people are just petty or feel empowered by a company email address. Megyn was great which earned the stars otherwise I would not recommend....... And your response is just a bold faced lie, which is why security was not called and I was not refused service..... Because its a lie. But hey its your story.

Dr Greenhagen is a great primary physician, he helped me with my lower back problems by referring me to specialists. Problem is that if your in pain and need help and go in to see him, the women up front are rude, inconsiderate, and callous and will not even ask him if he could help you by ordering meds or squeezing you in. So, what is the point in having a primary physician when you’re in utter pain and the workers up front won’t even go talk to him. I’ll be changing doctors, nothing to do with Greenhagen, just the lovely front end folk with no soul. Due to the response below, they offered an appt after 5:00pm with my primary. A day of excruciating pain is not gonna happen. Any other urgent care physician besides primary has never given me pain meds so that’s a waste of my time. I still say it’s wrong. I’ll argue it till I die. Some things are just inhumane. I would like to add that after leaving the office, I left a message with Greenhagens nurse and never received a call back. So, that’s what you’ll get if you use this place for your primary physician. Do yourself a favor and don’t use this place as your primary physician if you have any sort of issue that causes you terrible pain, like bulging discs and arthritic facet joints.

The nurse and doctor were polite and kind to my children and i. I appreciate their help.

Waste of your time!! didn’t listen to my symptoms! Didn’t want to help. Likes to use the phrase it’s viral just because that’s the easiest thing to blame it on without having tested for it. Would definitely get a second opinion rather then listening to them when you know your body! Didn’t even care when I was upset that they didn’t seem to do anything but waste my time today. I feel very bad for the people paying full price for these visits just to be ignored and sent away.

They got me in quick, sought to my need and off I went. Knowledgable staff, clean environment. I always go to this urgent care in PC 👍🏼

Smart doctor lady fixed my foot pain! Thanks was totally worth the wait. I’m following her recommendations and hopefully 🤞 things will go back normally.

Super friendly staff and amazing care. Made an appointment online and was in and out with sick kiddos within an hour! That’s a win for a mom!

I established myself as a patient when Dr Chris Greenhagen started practicing. Dr Greenhagen formerly treated me at Newkirk Clinic and he was very competent and genuinely cared about his patients...his nurse Patsy and all the other staff have treated me well also, I get my appointments at at the Newkirk Clinic for convenience of living nearby but always go to the Ponca Urgent care clinic after hours and weekends.

I have always had good experience with them and never had to wait very long I would recommend my family and friends to this clinic ❤️

Ive gone to this urgent care for years always loved it, I guess, Dr. Agha doesnt own it anymore. Came in twice in the last two weeks once for my daughter and I for a strep test came up negative said they would culture it and call if anything came up. Went to our regular doctor 3 days later both came up positive never heard from them. The PA was very rude no bed side manner. know it all attitude. Went in again for my son he got a ring worm from our barn cats same PA same attitude talked down to me didnt appreciate the attitude. We will not be going back.

Our daughter was very under weather just feeling miserable and very anxious. Every staff member, nurse or doctor that worked with her was amazing. They were kind, caring and very thorough. We will definitely begin using this as our family urgent care. They have called to check on our girl and have been so quick with letting us know results as they have come in. So pleased with our experience!!!

Ever since Chris Greenhagen moved to Ponca City Urgent Care and they have gone under new ownership, I have been going here. The staff is super friendly, Chris is amazing as always, and they are very accommodating to me being in a wheelchair. They even let me do a visit in the car because I am high risk and didnt want to risk coming into contact with anyone who may potentially be carrying the corona virus. Definitely recommend. They do regular appointments and urgent care appointments.

I took my 2 month old daughter in to be seen fot the first time today at Ponca City Urgent Care & Family Practice. I was concerned about her having a lot of nasal congestion and she was starting to have a mild cough. Once I got all her new patient papers filled out it took them no time at all to get us back to a room so she could be looked at! Our visit was short and sweet and the nurses were amazing. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I liked being able to schedule my appointment online. The person at reception was helpful and answered all of my questions. The person who took my vitals did an excellent job of putting me at ease. The nurse practitioner explained everything clearly. The entire process was expedient and pleasant.

I love coming to this urgent care. I always feel welcomed and all of my needs are met. My children come here when needed and love it! I’ve never had a bad experience it’s nice to see the same smiling faces.

This is Urgent Care is unique due to the compassion of the staff that work here. From the time you walk into the front door, seeing the Nurse/RMA, to the provider and to paying your bill, the staff remains friendly and helpful. They strive to make you feel better. Isnt that the point! You are not just a number. They do a fantastic job!

We were visiting from out of state and needed to have my son checked for the flu. We went to this urgent care and everyone was amazing! They got us in and out super fast. Everyone was very friendly. Our experience was excellent.

Myself and my family (including my adult boys) all use this clinic. It is by far the best immediate care in Ponca City. All of the staff is kind, friendly, compassionate and extremely thorough. The facility is always clean and the wait time is minimal. I recommend this clinic to all of my friends and family!!

Great place to go.. sometimes long waits but always faster than other places.. always been pleased with my experiences and service and Dr.’s are always wonderful when we have came and our needs were over their service they were quick to admit that and get us to the right people to help! We’ll continue using this as our go to urgent care.

Can’t recommend them enough! I’ve lived all across the country and this Urgent Care is easily the best I’ve ever been to! Despite these incredibly difficult times their providers were still able to provide me with quick, quality medical care that I could trust.

Great staff & fast service!! I visited during peak covid and at a super busy time & was able to get in quickly and got my results back really fast too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and you can tell the staff really cares. The facility was also very clean & sanitized! 100% recommend going here!

This is the best urgent care in town. They actually care about people while still running a business. The providers are very knowledgeable and treat you with respect. They listen and understand. They actually take care of you. I wont take my child or myself to any other urgent care.

Ponca City Urgent Care is my familys go to clinic. The warmth and attentiveness they meet you with is far beyond any medical office or hospital Ive ever been to. The moment you walk in the door youre greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The waiting rooms are always extremely clean and there is always adequate seating. The wait time seems to go really fast even when the waiting room is full. The nurses here are absolutely amazing! I feel kind of bad because I dont know them by name even though Im here several times a month. This is no exaggeration.. these are the best nurses in Ponca!! I understand that part of their job is to have good social skills but every single one of them goes above and beyond. When youre miserable and sick these girls swoop in with smiles and cheery disposition and reassure you that youll be well taken care of. Now to the doctors- My PCP is Melissa Honick and I could dote on her all day. THE VERY BEST PHYSICIAN Ive ever had. When she walks into the room you immediately know you have her full attention. She listens to all of your concerns and will spend all the time she needs to make sure you totally understand. Not once have I ever felt like she was in a hurry or unthorough. If Im not comfortable with something she wants to prescribe she takes the time to discuss it and look for other options. As long as she is here my family and I will never go anywhere else. Now, the other physicians in this clinic are amazing as well. Ive seen every one of them and have been impressed with each one. All in all, I love everything about this clinic and will continue to highly reccomend them.

I love the staff here. Weve been using PC Urgent Care since we moved here 10 years ago. Today I found out we could set them as our primary too! So excited for that!

I’ve used this facility for myself & my family on multiple occasions & always had a great experience (well, as good as one can have being sick lol). Staff is always not only friendly but compassionate which is hard to find these days & will go the extra mile. Highly recommend this facility.

Great for personal and business/employer related emergencies. The professionals at PCUC go above and beyond to diagnose and treat their patients. This urgent care provides high quality care with a personal touch. From the receptionist to the provider, I have been impressed with the level of service and expertise.

Great staff! Expected to wait longer than I did. Very helpful desk staff, nurses and lab tech compassionate, and attentive provider. Will make the drive from Enid to visit here again.

I read some reviews on a specific nurse at this place, I think I know who they are talking about, I had an injury and she wouldn’t give me anything for pain, she made me feel like a druggie. She made me feel humiliated while I was in pain. I would give this place a 0 star. The doctors are ok but some nurses feel like they own the world.

Twice my primary doctor misdiagnosed me saying I have allergies and both times I went to this urgent care the next day and was diagnosed having pneumonia. The staff are all very nice and the doctors listen to you. I would recommend them to everyone.

I never get an exact diagnosis. They just tell me what it’s not and give me a handful of diagnoses it could be. I also sign in and fill paperwork out online ahead to avoid a wait. Still had to wait 57 mins in the room (after waiting a long time in the waiting room, didn’t keep track) waiting for the dr to come back.Took patients back before me that came in after me?!Heard people who had to wait on the COVID rapid test 30 mins...I was waiting on a 10 min strep test. They were visited twice by the dr and the dr hadn’t even came in once and I was there because I’m sick? Perhaps the $225 test is more important than me and my sickness. I’m definitely going to find a different urgent care to make my primary.Do not recommend this location if you’re sick. If you need a rapid Covid test but this is the place to go because they obviously take those patients more seriously and take care of them over the actual sick people who go in.

Did a walk-in appointment for an inner ear infection today. Filled out a few forms and was talking to the Dr in 15 minutes. I always get treated great here and will always come back when I need urgent medical care.

When I have went their I had a very good experience. Doctors and the staff for me have been great ! Will continue to go when I need them. Another year of going to them ! They all go above to making sure , I’m taken care of ! Never have had an issue !

My daughter and granddaughter was hit by a deer, both sore, no signs of broken bones. Was refused treatment was told “go to ER, we don’t deal with pain or vehicle insurance “ I’m sure they worded it wrong. She was told at 11 am sure come in, we’ll check you out see how we can help. Finally able to get transportation around 530-6. Person at front desk was rude. Said per policy we can decline anyone we like for any reason. When you see your child uncomfortable it’s heartbreaking to here someone could turn their back so easily. Healthcare is about caring and helping ppl. I hope the lady whom was so rude and short can go back Thursday with a better kinder attitude. May the ppl turning their back on someone have a blessed evening, knowing helping ppl is sometimes just as simple as showing someone they care.

I love this place. It’s my go-to for urgent care even though I live 30 minutes away.

I have been here twice, for problems with ear infections. Katie Biby APRN has take care of me both times, and the care she gave was excellent. I also found the ladies at the front desk to be very courteous and friendly.I was pleased that Biby took the extra time to check on where I could get my prescriptions filled for the better price, since I am a cash customer. She saved me a lot of money directing me to a different pharmacy than my normal pharmacy.

The medical care was great. However, I did mobile Checkin and choose a check in time an hour away. I was texted when my room was ready. I went in and still had to wait an hour in the waiting room and 30 minutes once I got into a room. So much for mobile check in

A great place if you know there’s something wrong and need to be checked out in a hurry, they also give sports physicals and vaccines. Primary care is available and they have a very pleasant staff and clean facilities. There’s even a little play room and chalk board that should entertain your children while you wait to be seen!

This is the only urgent care in town that has taken mine and my kids concerns and actually done something about them. This is the only place I will go from now on.

VERY DISPLEASED. Scheduled an appointment WEEKS ago to have a few things checked out, and for them to refer me to a regular physician. Went in for my appointment today, filled out paperwork, insurance and everything just to be told that I had a $75 co-pay. That should have been relayed to me from the beginning when the appointment was scheduled. Now, I have to find MY OWN physician, reschedule an appointment, and continue to deal with the repercussions of my current health situation. Will not be returning, or referring anyone here.

I brought my son in today just for upset stomach and sore throat... He ended up having to take a COVID test and he freaked OUT an the nurse he had really talked him down and was not rude or anything and he finally did it and Im jst really impressed she was AWESOME thanks ladies😘😘😘😘😘😘

Worst urgent care ever. They literally dont care about the patient. They just look at what’s wrong and send you on your way without helping. They sent a medication to the pharmacy for my son and the pharmacy told me they dont even carry it. It was Walmart and they damn near have everything. Will not be going back, ever.

I visited at a busy moment but even so the staff was kind and helpful. They answered all questions and was very prompt with results from lab. I am so grateful we have such a wonderful urgent care.

I have been going there for a little while because of Chris greenhagen he was seeing my wife at a medical clinic and she went to go see him when he moved to the City urgent Care and she was partially under his care along with about six other doctors in the state and he did a parking lot visit because my wife broke her hip and he was the last doctor to see her just days before she passed away and I just appreciate all the help from the clinic with my wife and now me its the best place to go the friendliest place to go I highly recommend this urgent Care

I love this clinic. Not only is i my regular doctor there but if I can’t get in to see him, I can be seen by the Urgent Care staff. They are friendly and fast.

They have been my kids primary for a lot of years. The staff is super friendly. I love the physicians!! They treat my family like their own!!!

I was recently kicked out of this facility for openly sharing how incompetent they are here in their lobby from previous visits. I promptly left and brought my daughter to the Emergency room because she was at Urgent care last week where the said nothing was wrong. She has double ear infections and is currently undergoing extensive lab work as there is quite OBVIOUSLY, something wrong.Some months ago they supposedly sent a referral to a Specialist for this same daughter and said I would hear from them in a week. After 2 weeks I called said specialist who had not only never received said referral, it was a heart specialist not the Liver specialist that was needed. I called the PONCA CITY URGENT CARE to give them the correct phone and fax number. They sent it again, again we waited. No contact after yet another week. Now we are 4 weeks in. I called the specialist. They received a referral for my daughter but didnt attach any Doctors notes so they had no idea what it was for. I called them again.. .etc... Finally after about 6 weeks, which should have been 2 weeks maximum we got her into the specialist.NOW IF THIS STORY DOESNT PROVE THEIR INCOMPETENCE I will be happy to share several more about my own negligent services from this establishment. In fact I will later when I have more time.After reading some of the other reviews on here I want to make sure that I say this was under the NEW MANAGEMENTAs promised I have more to share. Several weeks ago I went here with an ear infectionThey prescribed a Z pac which had been ineffective previously, and they didnt, obviously, check my chart ( THIS WAS MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN MELISSA HONICK) but you cant disagree with them or they threaten you. Needless to say a week later I had to return now I have not only a RAGING ear infection but pneumonia as well from the ear drainage. I was irritable and also had 3 grandchildren in tow, this time one of which was an infant and I am so sick at this point I can hardly breathe. I was then told HOW DARE I BE IRRITABLE IF I COULDNT BE MORE PLEASANT I WOULD BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND WOULD NOT BE TREATED. I changed Doctors and will be changing my kids TODAY. THERE IS TRUTH TO THE TERM EDUCATED IDIOTS!!!!!The above first REVIEW was the first time I had returned since then.

This is our go to Urgent Care. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the drs are always great. They are thorough and do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

This facility is the only urgent care I will do business with in Ponca City. They make all customers feel welcome and we’ll cared for. They are super friendly and very knowledgeable and be d over backwards to work with folks! They will have my business forever!!!

Came in with my eye almost swollen shut(poison ivy). They fixed me up and its the same day my eye swelling is almost gone feeling much better already. I highly recommend.

The nurses were very polite and friendly. Once we got to the back, they had quick testing and fast service.

It was a yucky and sad experience. I went in and signed up and paid, after my family pleaded with me to drive on ice to get there, when I was planning to go to the er.I waited and got called in where you get weighed and such....And was told with strange expressions that they wouldnt talk to me or look at me and I might need a primary physician and they had one and I could come sign up for that but they would not speak to me or even talk to me about anything I had come for today. Id been vomiting and having extreme pain for nearly 2 days.I have no clue about why this occurred but it was sad and yucky.

Used to be a good place to go 6 years ago. Now the new doc was rude and didnt listen to the problem. Declined test and she still insisted with a rude attitude.

This is the worst urgent care I have ever been to. not only was the staff rude and disrespectful to there customer .. the doctor prescribed my son medicine that hasnt been made sense the 80s ..and many times they have misdiagnosed which ment returning to another doctor appointment .. this place should be shut down and the Dr Leanne should have her license pull ...my advice go to the urgent care on fifth street with Dr hill very sweet man or amc in ponca plaza both places are great with friendly staff and doctors.. save u time and money

This clinic is a minus 5 stars. It is the worst clinic I have ever seen. I have been there several times in the past. I injured my knee very bad, couldnt even walk, and hobbled up those dam steps. I went to check in and was REFUSED MEDICAL CARE. I have good insurance and dont owe that dam place a dime. They wouldnt even check me in. You see I made the mistake of telling them I fell at a business. These smartass nurses and desk clerk argued with me and laughed at me when I told them I needed help. They told me, with giggles, to go to the ER. By now my knee was bleeding internally. I was in intense pain. I hobbled back down those dam steps without so much as an offer to help me. I left there and found another clinic (because I will not willingly go to this hospital ER) that was AMC Urgent Care. They were so great. I told them what PC urgent care said about 3rd party. They got me in right away. They saw the immediate need. I told them what had happened and that disgusting PC urgent care had refused medical treatment. They were so great. Even tho I had to have syringes of blood drawn out of my knee, I was just glad to be getting help. All PC urgent care or ER would have done, would be to put an ace wrap on my knee and tell me to see an Ortho. I would have continued to suffer. So it was a blessing that the jerks and their policy at PC urgent care turned me away, but it is still wrong what you jerks did. Now to the owners of this pathetic clinic, and the smartass nurse, (you know who you are) you are a disgrace to medical care. So, what if the accident might be 3rd party. You would have gotten you dam money either way. Neither me or any of my family will EVER use your facility again. I hope everyone reads this and becomes aware of your policy so they dont even bother using your clinic for anything.

Granddaughter & l both were seen with different ailments. Wait time was not very long Excellent care from the staff & Dr. Have actually been seen here many times over several years and always got Great care.

I Love this place they are always very caring and my Doctor works there so its nice and convenient for me to go there which I love because I dont have to go out of town to see them they always try to work with my schedule

I took my daughter in to be tested for COVID, the staff was friendly. We had to wait awhile, but that is to be expected on a Saturday morning. We will be back!

I dont see how this place can be rated as low as it is I think its because these have some older post and now pretty sure its Under New Management but my experience when I was there was amazing they took care of me in a timely manner found the problem and fixed my life by making me be able to walk again as a construction worker walking is pretty important

Two years ago I left a five star review. This facility is not like it used to be. We no longer receive competent care. Sadly I dont think we will use it anymore.

Very nice staff was open on Sunday ran many tests on me everything came back good even though they found nothing wrong they were very thorough referenced me to my primary care physician to follow up

I recently had an emergency experience and had to go into the urgent Care they were very quick to help me and get me back into good health I would recommend them above All Else.

Sometimes you have to wait a while, sometimes not, same as any other doctors office. They have all always been very nice and taken care of all our needs.

It was a much better and so much faster visit then the er so yes i will give a referral to other people any day of the we and i give them a big 10.

If i could give zero stars i would regarding wannabe Dr Melissa Honick possibly the worst care imaginable and zero help. The staff is meh. Time to wait even for a scheduled appointment is terrible. Do yourself a favor if your looking for help, go somewhere else.

Front office staff was rude and irritated they had to help a patient. Kick a 2 month old sleeping baby and myself outside so they could close instead of waiting 5 min for the mom to finish being seen.

I was very pleased with the care I received recently at Ponca City Urgent Care. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
