The entire staff at Allies for health and well-being are fantastic. My treatment was excellent Dr. McBeth and her staff were very thorough and friendly.

Rebecca Altman is; very professional, engaging, sincere, concerned, thorough, thoughtful. I like her as my clinician at Allies for Health + Wellness. 👍🏼

Went to allies for 3 years . to be honest my experince with them was good . nice stuff and all but I had a problem with Quest Diagnostics . while I didnt change my insurance and was doing same blood test always last 2 times Quest Diagnostics charged me over $200 for regular blood test( normally it would cost me $30-35 ) . I talked with Allies and they talked with Quest but there was no solution so I had to pay close to $500 in 6 month beside regular co-pays . so at the end I canceled my next appointment and will not continue to go there .be careful if you are going there .

Loved my visit so much! Everyone made me feel so welcomed and cared for. I’m so happy to a new patient here.

All of the staff here are so kind and helpful! I have been helped by Becky a few times now, and they are always very efficient, effective, and sweet with me. Can’t recommend enough!^^still true!!

Dr. Macbeth is always excellent. She.id skilled and knowledgeable and the takes time to explain everything. She also takes time to answer my questions.

This is the best place for health care I’ve ever been. Dr McBeth is phenomenal, she listens to me. I feel I can talk to her comfortably about anything.

When I say this is the worst customer experience Ive ever received, I mean it. I like to think of myself as a very patient and calm person and have never left a negative review about a place, but this was out of line and beyond unprofessional.It was my first time here, and I did the Sunday walk-in testing and arrived at 9:30 a.m., not at some crazy time like right before they closed. The front desk lady was fine, aside from the fact she was loud and swearing left and right on her phone while making personal calls. It was the person who was doing my testing who was unbelievably rude and abrasive to me. I wish I had remembered her name, but she was a short, black, and mid-aged woman.When she asked me screening questions, she would rush my answers in the rudest tone. In one instance, I took maybe 3 seconds to think of how to answer a question, and she word-for-word said, it sounded like you were about to tell me your life story, and not in a friendly and joking way. She also gave me the most vague instructions on the tests, so instead of asking her, because I was too afraid to at that point, I read the bathroom wall procedures because those told me better than she did. Basically, whenever I didnt do something specifically her way, because she didnt communicate to me beforehand, she would get mad and short with me. She then told me that shes in a rush because shes behind schedule, acting as if I was taking up all of her time and the biggest inconvenience.Overall, I would not come back here again because it did not feel like a safe environment at all. I seriously thought about leaving midway through the testing process because it was that bad.

I have never felt more safe and heard than when I was here, very happy to have found a place that I feel confident in getting the best care

Went in earlier than scheduled and was attended to earlier than the scheduled time which I really appreciated especially that I had just come straight from an overnight shift.

I’ve been getting my hormones from here for the past 2 years. It was DEFINITELY much better when Braeden was around. Now if I get refills, they tell me they gave me a months worth, but I only get 2 weeks. It’s always a really bad time trying to get ahold of them because they almost never answer. Even with voicemails. I definitely do not recommend if you are trying to get HRT. They won’t answer your calls when you have to get refills for weeks on end, they are very rude at the front desk, and overall they just suck.

It looks like a hole in the wall but I’m sure that’s for security. I got in, my boyfriend wasn’t allowed in (better that way) but they said he could drop off food for me since it’ll be a while. they checked my backpack, and scanned me with a wand to make sure I didn’t have weapons, the safety measures are amazing. Not to mention there’s pride flags everywhere and people asking for pronouns and preferred names. In the secondary waiting rooms, there are hearts with messages such as “only you know what’s best for you” “it’s okay to be happy with your decision” etc. This place doesn’t make you feel bad, it’s very welcoming, and feels very safe and warm.

Honestly!!!!!! If you’re reading through these reviews.. Please don’t believe all the negative remarks. Now don’t get me wrong, everyone’s experiences are definitely different I am sure but here is mine.I love this place and truly don’t know where I would be without ALL of them!!! From the receptionists 🥰 the tech’s, the CRNP’S (Becky!! ❤️) to my Case Manager and PCP!!I have been in their care for nearly a year now and let me tell you, I was a WRECK (mentally, physically, emotionally…. All around) when I walked in their doors for the first time. Ever since then, they have been right by my side fighting for me just as hard as I was fighting and sometimes even harder!!!No matter what I have ever needed.. Whether it be just a shoulder to cry on (Crystal!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰) an emergency, my routine visits or anything in between… They are ALWAYS there for me!!There was a month my health insurance lapsed.. I am on a life sustaining medication and my PCP (Dr Chibaye and the rest of my team… case management and all!!) went above and beyond to make sure I still had my medications for that month!!They have never not listened to me or cut me short! WE discuss my concerns, issues and questions and WE decide my best paths to take to keep me healthy!If I have an emergency and send them a message; THEY are CALLING me the very next morning to get me in that day! I have been misdiagnosed in the ER 3 times now concerning complications that can have detrimental effects on my health issues! I have literally been told by a CRPN in the ER that I didn’t know what I was talking about when I went in bc I had a shingles outbreak and he told me i was wrong. That it was poison ivy (mind you its winter time! 🤔🤔). The next day Becky had me in the office to see me and it was exactly what I knew it was bc of my health issues! Which I informed him about (because they don’t really review your health records in the ER.. let be honest!!!)When I am too ill to get to my appointments on my own or honestly just can’t afford to get there.. my case manager (Zach… 🙏) makes sure U have an Uber to and from (and I don’t live in the city. Im out past Monroeville)…I will not go anywhere else for my health and wellness!!! Allies is my family! 💯💯💯

Wow.Showed up at 4:40 for a 4:30 appointment and was turned away...What kind of place would do that? I even called ahead to tell them traffic was poor and that I was a few minutes away.They said I had until 4:40 to get there, 10 minutes after 4:30, I arrived at 4:40, rang the bell at 4:40, they let me into the building, and then turned me away...Very strange and upsetting behavior. Im confused why this place is called Allies for healthTurning someone away who was less than one minute past your ten minute grace period isnt being an Ally for healthThey wanted me to reschedule. Im not going to reschedule. You guys dont respect my time. Why would I reschedule.

Shout out to Dr. Becky, Wren, Melissa, Michael l. as well as all the nurses and staff at Allies, Every single person employed there is pleasant to encounter, Helpful, caring and always active in Treatment, Their level of Care is phenomenal. And from 1 to 10 their professionalism is a 10 for me.

Service was fast! The staff were very polite and friendly.

My experience here was great! Everybody from the scheduler on the phone, to the medical assistant, Omega, to Dr. Li, were all so kind and caring to me! They take the time to get an accurate medical history of you and find out which testing would work best for you specifically. They listened to my answers to their questions without judgement, and also listened to any of my concerns with nothing but care in their eyes. I would and will recommend anybody to go here for STI testing and to take a look at all of the other things they have to offer as well! I also got an appointment very, very quickly after requesting one, thats always a plus!

Place was great until they changed staff. They would not refill me a medication that could have gave me medical complications if I stopped taking. Life happens and I couldn’t be seen in the time frame they gave me yet they didn’t care- I guess they would rather me become violently ill then refill a non narcotic medicine.

Clean and very friendly and did not make you feel violated as a woman

Dr McBeth and the rest of their little treatment team will make decisions for you with no communication whatsoever. She also stopped prescription for Suboxone because I relapsed and then miraculously my urine supposed tested completely clean and now her Dr license was at risk.I had was told they are no longer comfortable prescribing or treating me and I had to find another provider for my medical issues. The staff there are cowardly and unaware prejudiced people I do not appreciate having my medical information just shoved around anywhere because the treatment team doesnt like me.

I got blood tests about a month ago with multiple things flagged as abnormal, and have called multiple times and left multiple messages and no one has gotten back to me to explain the results. I will be finding a new primary care doctor. It is horribly unprofessional and reckless to treat patients health like this

Its funny when a place is called Allies for health and its actually not an ally at all.More like we want to go home early we dont care about you

Ive always had a hard time keeping up with primary care, but Ashleigh and the medical team at Allies make me feel so comfortable that stopping in for a prescription refill, or routine blood work while on PrEP seems like a healthy reunion more than a visit to the doctor.Great team, great mission, clean environment, and quick turn around for any time / service needed when spent there.

Great visit, but it has been over a month and no test results. I know they say no news is good news, but they also said the results would be posted online with 7 to 10 business days. I like Allies, but disappointed with lack of response. I sent a note to them about this directly and never heard back. Great organization, but better follow through is needed.

First and foremost, Allies has been a godsend for me personally. Ashleigh and Braden are who I see regularly. Both have always gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and address any and all of my concerns. I feel comfortable discussing anything with them without fear of judgement or embarrassment. They also have great mental health resources available. I highly recommend Allies to anyone and more so if you are LGBTQ+ and want a place where you’ll feel comfortable. Plus the staff overall, from the nurses, to the front desk, are always personable and friendly.

Staff is very rude and condescending . Very unorganized and unprofessional. Don’t go here . Your better off going somewhere else where people actually care and staff doesn’t have an attitude

All your heath needs in one place!! The staff is wonderful, friendly, and they offer so many different services. The nurse practitioner Ashley and staff honestly went above and beyond for me during my first visit! Keep up the great work!! Thank you for everything!!

Can’t speak highly enough of allies. Ran into some issues during covid and couldn’t get an appointment ANYWHERE. Curtis (hope I got his name right!) did a prescreen assessment via phone, then ashleigh was my nurse practitioner. They were both so cool and friendly and made talking about sexual health so comfortable. Great staff, you guys rule

Stay away from this place. They do not respect you or your time. Theres not much else to say. Avoid it if you can.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Dr. Mcbeth did nothing and billed me $96.73. They lost the urine sample on top of this, so i had to go back in to redo the test. Terrible experience and no one answers the phone either lol i’ll go to mcdonald’s next time for my urine test

The case managers play favorites here. Anne Marie Miller is a liar and she blames everyone else but herself. I will no longer be using this agency. I have been going here for 26 years. It is a shame that one person will make a person change his or her mind.

This place was a gift. The staff were very helpful and assisting. I felt comfortable here. The facility was clean and it offered free services for screening. Got in the same day. Please give it a try.

Absolutely the best PCP visit ever !!!

Incredible experience. Went in for free STI testing and the staff was so welcoming and patient when explaining the procedures. Highly recommend and I will be back for future screenings.

Just so everyone knows, they cannot require that you have a 90 day update done in order to use the food bank. They require the 90 day updates so they can fraudulently submit claims to the government claiming they are your medical case manager. They do NOTHING as far as helping to coordinate medical care and know NOTHING about medical care but collect about $1,000,000 a year for Medical Case Management from the government. Wouldnt you like to collect a MILLION dollars a year for something you dont do? This place is a complete sham and offers barely any of the services they claim. There are no set procedures or policies and the rules constantly change so that you are pretty much never able to qualify for any help. Not only are they stealing from every taxpayer out there through the fraudulent medical case management claims, they dont offer the services for to the people that really need them. Everyone that has ever been denied access to the food bank because you have not completed an update, file a complaint with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. They cannot require that you use them for medical case management and if they bill for it, you cannot receive Medical Case Management from an organization that actually does it. If you have been denied any other services funded by Ryan White Funds, file a complaint with HRSA and the State Attorney General. If you have been denied housing services or told they dont offer anything other than rent assistance, file a complaint with Allegheny County HUD and Federal HUD and tell them its about HOWPA funds Something needs to be done in order to get this corrupt charity back on the right track. Everything above is my opinion based on my experiences over the past 7 years.

What a great experience! All the staff was very nice and helpful. I felt very comfortable here and was in & out within about a half hour.

I am a longtime client and was turned away from the organization after making an appointment when i needed help because I did not wear a mask.

I just dont understand the conduct of this location at all. Strange place.
