Last time I was there, maybe 6 weeks ago, I was in and out in under 20 minutes! This location is very busy, but if you go with a good attitude and knowing that everyone there has a back story maybe karma will be good to you. I know the staff has no control over unforseen incidents and cannot predict the future. So give them a break, they are helping you! Good job to all!!

I walked in on a Saturday without an appointment. The waiting room was *full* so I didnt feel too hopeful I would get seen. They called my name and after only 45 minutes I was done, all told. Lina was very kind and made my visit a pleasant one.Im so relieved to know theyre there. Its really tough to keep up with appointments when your work schedule coincides exactly with doctors hours. Im so grateful for these hard working folks.

Almost passed out in the room and the nurse took really good care of me. Even with how busy they were she was very patient, checked in on me, made me comfortable and calm until I felt okay again.Waited 45 minutes even though I showed up at my appointment time. Otherwise, very good experience.. testing was quick and painless.

Unbelievable service with a jam packed waiting room. I had no appointment and was in and out in 35 minutes!! Marissa the phlebotomist was amazing drawing g my blood!! I didnt even feel the needle go into my arm!! Thank you everyone for a great experience!!

This place is actually infuriating. I waited for 40 minutes (even though I had made an appointment) and when I finally got called, they told me that it just so happened Fridays were the one day of the week where they could not complete my specific test. I asked where in the world I would have been able to learn this information so I wouldn’t have needed to waste an hour, and the tech said she didn’t know. This is not the first time I’ve experienced incredibly poor service at this site, with multiple other instances of ungodly wait times despite having made an appointment. They clearly do not respect people’s time, and even though I have tried to be understanding of the difficult position they are put in as a medical testing site and that they can’t please everyone, this is just a level of profound uncaring for people and their time. I needed this test as soon as possible for a pressing medication prescription, but now I guess I’ll have to wait even longer. Unbelievable.

I am so happy with my experience here! No appointment and I got in within 20 minutes. Ariel was amazing, she explained everything to me including how they actually test the blood. She made the experience relaxing and stress free. Thank you Sonoraquest and thank you Ariel!

The place was packed with many people in and outside. Probably over forty (or more) within the time it was opened (7am) till 8am when we decided to leave with no service. Good thing the weather was not as terrible, compared to other days, however it would have not been healthy to be outside too long while waiting to be called. It would be nice if they had more employees to be able to assist people faster and diligently as well as to help its own associates not be burned out during and after their shifts =(. If not possible, then open more locations that work on Saturdays and/or Sundays, like every other week or so. Or at the least offer availability to make appointments. Additionally, it would be very helpful, and considerate of peoples time, to offer a type of notification system that shows where in the waiting list a person is at. By this, people can plan accordingly their time as well as to give an idea on how many people the site can reasonably serve.

I am tired of incompetence and the medical field. I had blood work done and was waiting for days to get the results back from this facility in Ahwatukee. My doctor received some of my results but however days later still the results were not all in. I called Sonora quest to find out why my doctor has yet to receive the rest of my results. It turns out that the lady who checked me in did not bother to read the full list of blood work request from my doctor. He had ordered 10 different tests to be done and she only put in five of them so here I am 6 days later still waiting. Now I have to wait another few days to get the rest of the results because they never did five of the test, total incompetence. The only one who was totally confident was my phlebotomist who managed to get my vein on the first try and I felt no pain whatsoever I did not even feel the needle go in she is the only one who made going to Sonora Quest easy. If our insurance would pay for us to go somewhere else I would. Its not even like they were busy, there were four people when I got there. The receptionist just didnt even bother to read what my doctor wanted. Incompetence and total lack of regard for patient care.

This place is very efficient. We arrived 645 am on a Saturday and there are probably 20+ people waiting outside. The front desk is very organized to handle large amount of patients. We came without an appointment and left at 810.

Crowded. Slow. Bad attitude from front desk. You know the average Sonora Quest experience.I will get blood work in hell before I choose Sonora Quest myself, but my Dermatologist said it had to be here. 😒I was on Accutane, so I had to get monthly bloodwork, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. they bruised the crap out of my arm. My PCP’s office does bloodwork and they have never bruised my arm, so I know it’s not just me easily bruising.

Good experience at this location. I made an appt online.Showed up for my appt, checked in on their kiosk. Was called in to get blood drawn within 5 minutes of my appt time. The front desk staff was polite, the phlebotomist was kind and got the poke right on the first try. If I have to do unpleasant adulting tasks...like get blood drawn, I would go to this location again. They seem to really have improved their process.

I have used this WALK IN lab for years and I have always appreciated that I can get my lab work done on my day off. It is busy on a Saturday morning, so plan accordingly for the line and the wait. The staff are courteous and patient. The phlebotomists are very good. I have difficult veins to stick but the get me every time the first time. There are other lab locations but this is my favorite!

The staff themselves weren’t the problem. The wait times are. Waiting in the waiting room for 45 minutes for an appointment time 35 minutes prior was the worst. They tell you to show up a few minutes before your appointment since we were coming from a couple towns over we were early and showed up 10 minutes before. I thought making an appointment would make it easy. I can assure you it will not.

Ive been to the facility for multiple blood tests over the years. The staff is always considerate and friendly. Sometimes there is a wait because thats just the nature of walk-in service, but the lines always move along reasonably quickly. It helps when everybody shows up with the required information ready too.

Positive: The front desk staff was polite. Communicated the reason for the little delay and I was happy to wait. Check in was seamless.Negative: The staff member called us in (pediatric appointment). First she completely butchered the name; which is not a first for us so it would be okay except she was not friendly, polite or could care less she did. Just stared us straight and hurried us inside. The rest of the appointment she was cold, uncaring and this would have been ignored for me except this was a pediatric appointment. A friendly demeanor would be nice. She looked like she could not wait for it to be over. We were the last appointment but I work in healthcare myself and you don’t treat anyone let alone children so cold regardless. At the end of the appointment she asked another staff member to let us out through the front or ‘the back’. Again the front desk was polite and waved us out. That lady that actually drew my kids lab was terrible. And my kid did great, but some kindness from that lady would have gone a long way.

Been here dozens of times in 10 years and have never had any issues. I appreciate all of the staff being patient with people who are sometimes cranky (hangry) or lightheaded due to fasting! I have to say, the phlebolotmists are exceptionally great to interact with. I think that customers who arrive as walk-ins can be pretty rude when they learn theyll have to wait to be slotted in between customers who have appointments. I really like that both ways (walk-in AND appts) are offered, and Ive done it both ways as needed over the years with zero hassle. Easy. Not sure why there are a few 1 star reviews, to be honest, but I guess you cant please everyone.

They do not honor appointment times and when asked about it. They are condescending, glib and aloof. While staff chats like there is nothing to do. If you are behind tell people before their appointment time! I went to another office to complain about the treatment. I managed to get my blood drawn well before the time I was given at the original site. Only to be rudely accosted about a bill from 14 years ago. It so looked like I was being treated this way out of spite in an open room discussing HIPPA related medical information for all to hear. If you did not have a monopoly your business would fail. You need to remove these people from your Offices asap!

I have no clue why they even take appointments. Ive been to this location probably a half dozen times over the last year. I check-in early and Im always in 20 - 30 min after my appointment. I sure get a sorry but how about the administration fix the issue!!!I will say, the techs have always been very nice when I visit there. I feel bad that they have to deal with unhappy customers because the SQ administration cant get their act (much nicer word than I really want to use) tougher. The techs are the only reason for the 2 stars.After looking at the reviews for all the valley SQ locations, it seems to be a company wide issue that they dont seem to care to fix.

This is honestly probably the best Sonora Quest location I have ever been to! My child (under 2) and I have both had labs drawn here and all of our phlebotomists did an amazing job! They were very patient, careful, quick, and efficient drawing labs on my child. The front desk staff were very friendly both times we were here. I would highly recommend this location if you have any lab needs for you or your family!

Of all the Sonora quest I have been to this is by far the worst. I had an appointment and I called to ask if I can come early. They said yes. I arrived and waited over 35 minutes. Multiple people have been seen prior to me. I ended up leaving because they stated that my labs were complicated. Ironically, the other locations have never had an issue processing my labs. Thank you for wasting my morning.

Fast Saturday walk in, early bird gets the needle. Vitore was very gentle. They open at 7am, walked out at 7:15am. It had been 11 hours and 45 minutes since my last bite, 10 to 12 counts as fasting. Lab orders given by your doctor are accepted up to 1 year.

The staff are good people. Yes, they can sometimes have a prickly demeanor, thats because sometimes they get treated so poorly they have to put up signs that say things like It is a felony to assault a healthcare worker. Fasting can make people real difficult. They never know what kind of person they are going to get... But the front of office, the phlebotomists, and all the other lab techs are generally nice people if you treat them they way any human being should be treated.That being said, this location runs like any other SonoraQuest lab. It depends on the day and appointment load to determine how long youll have to wait for your scheduled appointment or a walk-in. The little electronic sign in things can be a pain in the butt, Im not a big fan. I got called rather quickly for my last appointment, which was nice. But when I had to come back to bring in a sample, it took 20 minutes. Youd think I was handing over a Rembrandt to an auction house when the reality was quite literally a fecal matter. lol. Apparently they have to make sure everything is labeled correctly so you have to walk it in and answer a few minutes worth of questions. God knows how many people accidentally forget their name and put King Charles III of England on the label by mistake. Just not a fun or dignity reinforcing system.All in all, lets just say that SonoraQuest is a mixed bag. They have intricate methods for everything from scheduling, to intake of samples. Those methods can be obnoxious. They also have a bit of a monopoly, so youll probably find yourself at an SQ location at some point while living in AZ. These quirks are not the fault of those who work there, treat them like human beings. Just go in knowing that being there may require some patience, and get out hoping your tests come out how you wanted them to.

I have been to this location few times for yearly bloodwork. The staff are nice and pleasant; however lack experience and are careless, which is dangerous. I am a non practicing physician and was mortified. First time the phlebotomist had incorrect DOB on my blood specimen label and said it was fine- no it is not and I actually had her correct them all before I left: second time the phlebotomist tried to take blood from cephalic vein, which is not usual and had trouble with finding the vein and eventually kept on moving the needle around in my arm trying to reposition the needle until I asked her to remove the needle and utilize the median cubital vein; third time the phlebotomist took two viles of blood and then said oh wait I need another one and proceeded to insert the needle back to the same insertion point, I had to stop her and asked her to use my other arm to continue finish her work. This phlebotomist is the same person who told me the first time that having incorrect patient information is okay. I know due to shortage and high demand everyone is getting accelerated certifications to land a job, but to whose expense? I am really terrified to see the quality and caliber of people we are hiring and who is trying to take care of patients and/or handling patients and their records with such little care. Hopefully they will address this with their staff because I feel this needs to be reported before some harm is done to the innocent patients.Update: I wish I could give these guys no stars. You make an appointment yet they clear the walk ins before you so you end up just sitting while others go past you or ahead of you. Why don’t they have two lines or queue: one for appointments and one for walk_ins. Terrible.

I have never seen employees care less about the business or patients in my life. I called in to make sure I of the hours and I could drop off a specimen. Of course no answer, however, the recording machine said they were open until 4pm MST. I leave work early to drop it off, get there at 3:04 and the door is locked. I peer in and there are employees walking around. I knock until someone actually acknowledges me, opens the door saying they are closed. She then proceeds to argue with me for 5 min and says she can’t take my sample even though they the recording is incorrect. I can’t imagine checking in my sample would take longer than it took to argue with me about taking it when their information is incorrect on the recording and they just wasted and hour of my work day. All in all, deplorable customer service, as I sit here waiting for them to open missing work again on a Monday morning.

Due to the virus my husband and I had to take turns getting our blood drawn while one of us stayed in the car with our daughter. Despite my husband already checking me in and telling the woman that he was sending me in she chose to take a walk-in in the maybe 3 minutes it took me to get into the office. My husband also waited almost 20 minutes for his appointment despite the fact that there was no one else getting their blood drawn. Its convenient that this location is in our doctors office but we wont be coming back.

Yes, its difficult to schedule ahead as they are booked very far out but they accept walk-ins and its on, me, the patient to plan ahead. Always a great experience when I come to Quest. I had the pleasure of having my blood drawn by Patricia, who was in training, I think I made her nervous and she had to take the needle out but in stepped Vitore and she stuck me in my left arm. All in all it was still a good visit. Great job ladies.

My dr submitted electronically lab orders on Friday, prior to echocardiogram to be performed on Monday. Sonora takes no appts on Saturday so I made a decision to go at 11:30am hoping the rush would be over. I didnt have access to my lab order to go elsewhere. The extremely rude woman at the front desk said I couldnt be seen as they were short staffed and wanted to leave by 12. I said my appt was Monday and it was a 5 minute blood test. Nope, she was leaving at noon no matter how many patients came in. I asked her to print my lab order to go somewhere else - no she said Id have to come back Monday. If I hadnt worked the front desk in a hospital setting for 12 years I wouldnt be so mad, but fasting so long, arriving before 12 THEN turned away? Nope. This is a complaint.

If there were negative stars this site would be a winner. The staff lied to me about how long it would take to get my lab work done. My impression is since they have started their day, none of their clients day matters. I simply wanted an honest answer how many people were ahead of me. I was told I would be next after a scheduled appointment, an hour later and half a dozen people being taken back I had to get my lab order back. She was not even considerate in the time it took her to return that. Disgusting service.

I had made an appointment for 12:15 pm on Friday and it was easy to check in at the location. I got called in about 5 minutes after my appointment time, but thats not a big deal, and to be fair, it was really busy. Vitore was the one who drew my blood and she was kind and courteous, and she made swift work if it. The job was done quickly and I was on my way home in no time :).

I’m 7 months pregnant and need to get my glucose test for diabetes. I went to their location on 10th St and McDowell where the line was so long it went outside of the building. I can’t stand for long periods of time without needing to use the restroom and I was there by myself. I had waited 30 minutes and had no idea how long the wait was going to be when I knew this test took an hour. I didn’t want to wait in that line just to be told it was too late. I looked up another location and came to this one where everyone in the waiting room watched my interaction with the front desk because she ridiculed me when I explained my whole story and said they wouldn’t do it because I would have had to get there earlier. I started this whole fiasco at 9am. She also accused me of just not wanting to stand in line. There was no reason for her to be that rude. It’s impossible to get anything done at Sonora Quest. They’re only open during the hours I’m at work which I can’t get time off for and even if you do make an appointment they have nothing for weeks in advance. If I didn’t absolutely have to I would never come to Sonora.

I have never seen a group of people more clueless! I make an appointment. Take off early from work only for them to send me on a run around about being in the system. Then after wasting my time they finally find me. I miss my appointment time and they offered no apology for their mistakes Just asked “ummm can you put your mask back on ma’am”. I do not arrive to places late because I respect others time. Too bad businesses don’t show us the same respect. The front desk staff is rude and about as dumb as a box of rocks! Thank god for Vitore the Phlebotomist because if she leaves… idk.

Marissa and her helper were so sweet to my 5 year old getting his blood taken! They talked him through it and were very efficient! Got it on the first stick!! Wait time was less then 5 minutes as a walk in! Great experience for us!

Andrea B was great. She was quick and efficient - I later told her what a relief it was because having blood drawn for me causes a lot of anxiety (as I’ve had bad experiences previously) If I could only ever go to her, I would. 10/10On another note about the office, if you wait outside - be near the door. I was waiting too far away and didn’t hear my name called (no one came out to check either) so I waited 40 minutes past when they called my name inside.

The wait was a little long but that is to be expected at a busy place like this & when there are appointments ahead of you + time sensitive tests. I was extremely nervous to come here because of the reviews to be honest by my visit was VERY pleasant! Denise (I believe) was the nice lady who took my blood, she could tell I was nervous & she helped calm me down and made me laugh. The experience was very comfortable & Ill definitely be back to this location if I ever have additional needs.

Lady sitting at reception with Auburn, short hair with glasses needs learn compassion. My daughter has a severe infection with WBC greater than 20,000. The doctor wants to make sure that the infection is improving. We drove from the doctors office and arrived slightly before 4pm. My daughter felt weak and leaned against the pillar outside. By the time I parked and brought her into the lab, the person said that it was past 4pm (4:04) and that the doors wouldve been locked, but they just didnt get to it yet. My daughters pale pallor did not affect this woman. There were lots of patients in the waiting room and they saw what had happened. I didnt make a scene. I emphasized that my daughter was very Ill and the lab work was very important. She did not care. She handed me a sheet for Lab Corp, their rival, and said that maybe I can find something open. I am a healthcare professional and would NEVER turn anyone away when the patient looked so ill. If woman doesnt like her job, she shouldnt be at the reception window treating would be patients so terribly. If you are seriously Ill, go to the Sonora Quest Chandler location until this womans attitude is adjusted. We are here again today and the woman is just as unhappy as yesterday.

Short staffed- not their fault. I waited nearly two hours in their FREEZING waiting room to get called back. Then the woman can’t draw any blood and literally blames me that my veins have “no blood” and that “you don’t drink water!” Umm what?! Never have I ever had this issues EXCEPT the time before with this SAME woman! Claiming I have no blood in veins, umm no you just keep missing my veins! I can’t believe it took three people and 5 pokes to draw my blood! 3rd woman came in and got blood no problem, like a pro. She literally carries that place. Everyone else is terrible and do not know what they are doing.

My 3 year olds doctor submitted bloodwork to their facility, but it was never processed. No reason provided, but I was told that my 3 year old would have to be traumatized again. We couldnt collect urine for my 5 year old at the time of visit and was told to bring it back. When we brought it back they congratulated us in its collection, but then told our doctor we never submitted a sample. Both incidents took place one day after the next. I wont go to their facilities again.

When I first saw these reviews I thought, why did I make my appointment there.? But I was very surprised that I was in and out with no trouble. She had no trouble getting blood out of me which is usually difficult. And the people that came in walking before me wait until after my appointment. Which is fair. Youre all I need an appointment they did not. So all in all it was a pretty darn good visit

Horrible location. Wife went in with an appointment for a company wellness check. Had the paper confirmation with Barcode on it so they could easily check her in. Staff said they cant find the appointment. They give her a number to call, she calls it, they tell her its in the system but in another system and the two systems dont talk to each other.They update the system and ask her to check with the desk again. Desk says no appointment is in their system and tells her she needs an appointment since they dont do walk-ins for that kind of test at their facility. After round-and -round at the facility she left before she lost her cool. She later called the the same phone number they asked her to call the first time and they told her to put in a complaint with the Office Manager of the location since they clearly didnt know what they were doing. So, wife is doing that, Im putting in this review. This review is only for the Sonora Quest location in Awhatukee, AZ. Weve been to others and have never had an issue with appointments not being found or lost.

I had a good experience when I visited the office.. friendly service and very fast. My issue with the place didn’t come until a few days later. I went to get my blood type initially, few days later I called to get the results of that test & the person on the line wasn’t even aware of their own policy.He wouldn’t tell me MY blood type instead he said that they have to send the results to my physician. Had I not read what I signed before getting my blood drawn that may have worked but their policy states that it’s the customer’s responsibility to relay the results of the test to their physician not the lab.Once I told him that he went back and looked at it then told me what it is but I just feel the employees should be aware themselves of what they have people signing so that this wouldn’t be an issue. Made no sense that I would have to wait for my physicians to get my results & tell me what my blod type is when I paid this company to do exactly that.

I was nervous about taking my daughter her this morning after reading the reviews but we certainly had a great experience. We made an appointment, they checked us in at the appointed time. The facility is very clean. They seemed very efficient processing the many patients in the waiting area. The staff was friendly and kind.

I was in for blood work required by my employer and the wait time was minimal. Techs were very nice and I was out in no time. A couple of months later, I needed to get my blood pressure reading. I called and spoke with the receptionist and she looked up my results and was very helpful. Would go to this location for future tests.

Id like to say that this facility operated at a high level of efficiency. They had a full house and moved the customers quickly and courteously.Best of all was Anjelica! Front Desk was fine. Saw a lot of staff was friendly. The phlebotomist I had however had no bedside manner (rude), and dug around both of my arms like it was her first time. Her certificate on the wall said 2017 but she had absolutely no finesse. What a rough and unpleasant experience. Won’t be back for my next lab round, another location will hopefully improve my opinion.

My boyfriend had an appointment here on a Monday and they were supposed to get same day results and send them to his doctor. On Wednesday, his doctor informed him that she still had not received the results. When he called to ask what the problem was, he was informed that they had no record of drawing his blood and that they didn’t even know where his blood was. They then went on to ask him who drew his blood , what room he was in and that it was potentially shipped to California to have the results processed there. What kind of place loses a patients blood, let alone doesn’t even have a record of him coming in. This is completely uncalled for. He now has to go back in and have everything done once again.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!My daughter is five and a half and this was her first blood draw. She was calm and content in the waiting room but then the first lady we saw said, she has to be held down. Which terrified my daughter and should never have been said because now shes defiant and screaming and crying. Judie, the manager, came in the room several times with a scowl and bad attitude and told me I was holding up her staff. I dont disagree with that but it was her attitude. Finally she came in and I expressed that had no one said my daughter needed to be held down then this wouldnt be the case. Instead of an apology she said, kids need held down. So, the moral of the story is, dont take your kids here. They have zero care for kids. None. I wont even go there for myself now. Just absolutely awful.

I had a 3 hour glucose test I needed to complete, made an appointment online and called ahead with questions regarding my 3 hour glucose test and mentioned my appointment being at 10:15am. When we arrived after driving a half hour to get there, they told me they wouldnt be able to take me because my test was 3 hours and they closed at noon. They didnt have any concern for the necessity of my labs and attempted to give me an appointment 4 weeks out and tried to give me an appointment near her home without even asking where I lived

Seemingly asleep staff with little sense of urgency or attention to time management.

I took my daughter for a urine exam and the staff was so rude to me when I asked if she could use the bathroom. Then, they were condescending when I didn’t fill out the paperwork! I understand they are trying to move people along but I’ve never been here before so I don’t know the routine. Do not recommend!

I have had bad experiences with LabCorp and the Sonora Quest close to me. However, this location is my go-to because of Vitore who understands I am a very challenging patient that cannot be stuck by normal means. I will go out of my way to find her or schedule on days she is there.

Warning...This company will mess up your credit. I did not know I had a bill from them until I got a no payment on my credit report. I went to the website and it did not show a bill. I was in the office last month and no one said I had a bill. After seeing a collection agency on my credit report, I called them and they said I had an unpaid balance from Sonora Quest and they reported to the credit agencies. Extremely unprofessional!

This place is a joke. I worked there and was locked in a room by sammy. The same fat girl everyone is complaining about in the reviews. Then was told no about filling our an incident report by both the direct supervisors (Shantrese Montgomery and Amy morris). Amy morris was well aware of all issues that was going on at this place. Shantrese Montgomery has been in trouble already for being so mean. Sammy is also known as a bully at this place. Shes been written up for being such a bully. I posted screen shot conversations with Amy morris. Also check yelp for more reviews on this place.

Do not walk in. They are severely understaffed and overbooked. I was in there nearly an hour and made no progress. They have tv displaying what order youre in to go back to the doctor. I started at 8 and by the time I left I was at 7. Do not walk in.

Terrible customer service aside:Contracted with my insurance- bills me for the difference against insurance contract.My insurance says “they should not be billing you for the difference.”, but Quest says “Pay it or we won’t provide services.”If I receive another notice from Quest, my insurance company is probably gonna be down your throats for contract violations.

Dont go there as a walk in. They dont tell you that the waiting time is more than an hour when you check in. After an hour waiting, the unfriendly staff will tell you that all the appointments will send you back in the list. So basically you will never know when you will be called. They dont respect their customer time AT ALL.

You can only make appointments online, but cant change them if something comes up. I called as soon as they opened the day of my appointment to try to move the appointment an hour later, but was told they couldnt make any changes the day of appointment.
