Sarah Jones NP is a delight. She is light, calm, friendly, and understanding. Exactly the kind of person I needed for my care. I had my Nexplannon replaced and she got it done swiftly and gently in comparison to previous my providers. She also performed my full exam and was very professional and addressed any concerns/questions that I had. The office is nice, clean, bright, and reception is welcoming. I always choose appointments as early as possible and then always can get me in and out efficiently. Overall, I recommend this office and practitioner.

Sarah Jones was so kind, gentle and knowledgeable. Her and the assistant kept conversations going during the whole visit, it was never awkward or uncomfortable. The office and lobby were so clean and bright. I suggest anyone that lives in the North valley should go here.

Avoid if you can, billing department is a NIGHTMARE. I went here for my third pregnancy, loved my OBGYN Dr. Tilden but when she left we continued care with Dr. Dowland (another good doctor). But none of that matter since the billing department is HORRIBLE to work with! We were billed for many things that my insurance covers 100%, communicated that with them but they were adamant that they were correct and my insurance was wrong. We ended up eating the bill because it was getting no where with them and they were reluctant to do anything on their part to look into it, aka their job. My husband and I literally told them the coding the insurance said they needed to use and the women we spoke with said no they billed it right and they won’t be billing it the way my insurance said to. When Tilden opened her office we switched care meaning I had to cancel one appointment with this office before I gave birth, had a healthy baby and a great birthing experience with her office. Almost a month later I have this office trying to bill my insurance for switching care, for past appointments my insurance already paid for, and one appointment I had canceled with them a week before it was scheduled. We can’t seem to escape this horrible billing department. I’ve switched OB’s before and NEVER have I had to pay them for previous appointments and transferring information. Doctors are great but the mess they make you put up with with their billing really takes away from that.

The office is very clean and bright, and the staff is friendly. My OB/GYN doctor is very kind with a nice bedside manner. The only negative is that for late afternoon appointments, the waiting tends to be longer in the examination room.

I know this will be a lot to read but I hope you take the time to read this before you make an appointment here. My first pregnancy I saw Dr. Tilden every single appointment was rushed and felt like she had no time for us. I figured it must always be this way as a first timer. Fast forward to my 39 week appointment my blood pressure was high. Dr. Tilden said she wasnt concerned. Went into labor 2 days before my due date and she didnt even deliver my baby I had to see a brand new doctor. I found out after delivering I had pre eclampsia and was put on medication. A few days went by and my pressure spiked uncontrollably and was back in labor and delivery for 5 days. Not once did Dr Tilden come check on me after seeing her my whole pregnancy. Now 14 months later considering another baby. I made an appointment this time with a different doctor. I made this appointment to go over my questions and fears going through another pregnancy and getting pre eclampsia again. Not only did I wait an hour after my appointment time to be seen but this new Dr. Dr Medina was probably the worst doctor Ive ever seen. She had no empathy no compassion literally made me feel stupid for being there and was like okay did I answer all your questions? Gave me no information at all. I was with her less than 5 mins. I felt so stupid and clearly wasted her time being there with my concerns. She didnt reassure me or make me feel comfortable with my next steps in ANYWAY. I just really hope no one has to go through this. We have feelings and sometimes these doctors just dont care. Please if you want to feel like a human and be treated with some dignity and care please find somewhere else to go. I learned my lesson and will never go back.

Horrible experience with this location! First the front desk lady wasn’t friendly at all and then she said because she couldn’t find my insurance information she would have to charge me $250! I do not recommend this location!! Very disappointed

Dr. Fanning is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. She listens to her patients and shows great empathy and understanding of different concerns. Her presence is always very comforting and I feel that she is knowledgeable and easy to speak to, which is important for such a personal and intimate type of medical care. I highly recommend this office, and especially her.

Very frustrating about this place. First, waiting time is over than one hour for my appointment; second, nobody checked on me or explained things to me during the over one hour waiting; third, they don’t offer either results report or online patient portal; the last but not the least, they don’t answer phone calls, and they never called me back no matter how many voicemails I left. To sum up, it’s so difficult to get things done at this place, not a reliable healthcare system.

I am a new patient at Desert West Obstetrics & Gynecology - Sonoran. I had the same doctor for 20+ years, so I was nervous about making a switch to a new OBGYN. I called to make my appointment with Dr. Dowland, but due to scheduling conflicts I opted to take the first available appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, Sarah Jones. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. The lobby was clean and comfortable. I completed my paperwork and was called back in a timely fashion for routine vitals by the medical assistant. After a short wait, Sarah Jones, NP came in and she was WONDERFUL! She took the time to ask about my past health history, listened to my concerns, offered her professional opinion, and discussed next steps for my specific health needs. I felt comfortable and at ease during my entire visit. Once I was finished, I made my way to the check-out counter where the medical assistant provided me with the necessary paperwork. Although this was my first visit, the initial experience was seamless for me. The staff was friendly and informative. The facility was well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Ill be sure to keep readers posted should I encounter any future issues, but for now, I am giving Desert West Obstetrics & Gynecology - Sonoran 5 stars!

Had such a lovely experience! Dr. Hanna Smith was kind and made me feel really comfortable, she was also very informative and answered all my questions, the staff was also very kind. The lobby was very clean and I overall had a lovely experience. I will always be back if continued to be treated this way.

The receptionists are not good. They mistreated me and my wife. They are unethical and inhuman. Especially the lead of the reception “Ashley” has a big problem. We arrived there 13 minutes late to our appointment. That was because of a car accident on our way. We tolled them all this and asked them to get my wife treated. But, they didn’t allow us and cancelled our appointment. She was not volunteer even to listen our voice. That all was because of our race, since we are black. I tolled here writ away that she is discriminating us. Very, very inhuman lady! I don’t recommend this place for the black peoples!

The facility is nice, clean with an all around pleasant vibe. The staff were welcoming & efficient. The physician had a warm bedside manner & made me feel heard as a person.

Everyone was nice. The waiting room looked busy but I did not wait very long. The doctor took time with me and never made me feel rushed. The MA was pleasant and made me feel comfortable.

Clean facility. Professional staff. Amazing doctors.Ive seen Dr. Shaw, and her medical assistant Tina, twice now. Theyre super friendly and kind, they took time to connect with me, made me feel comfortable, and talked me thru everything to help me feel comfortable. By far the best Dr Ive ever had in my life. Would recommend a million times over.

The employees were very professional, kind, and respectful. I felt like I am welcome when I came into the office and Dr. Dowland made sure that the reason for my visit was addressed and that I am taken care of. Thank you

Desert West Obstetrics & Gynecology is the best OBGYN in the Valley. Dr. Dowland is extremely knowledgeable and kind. I was referred to her by another one of my trusted doctors, and I am grateful. The office is spotless and the support staff are extremely efficient and patient. I would highly recommend this practice.

I left a message regarding my prescription and never received a call back nor was the issue addressed. I also never was notified of test results and my appointment was months ago. Not impressed, to say the least.

Very nice ladies Ashley, Tina, & Hannah. Great care and worked me in within a couple of days. If need be I definitely will return.

It may look nice but that is all they have going. No communication. They didnt know what my images were. Doctor kept saying I think this is what this is. Im not sure which side this is. I couldnt believe it. I could read the images and see it was my left tube. I left with google print outs instead of a plan. I drove an hour for this amazing place. What a joke. Im so mad. Oh lets top this off 3 days and not ONE person has called to fix this as they said someone would call me right away with information Im asking for. Plus I started calling and NO ONE knows anything of my visit so let me check and then I get let go with someone will call you back. Guess whos on the phone calling again to see where that call is??? Thats me. Calling them. Absolute joke. So glad my pain is nothing to anyone here.

No one likes to call you back or answer phone calls. This is upsetting as the staff is nice except Erica. Shes rude. The place is clean but I been trying to get help since 7ish am and its nearly 1pm and I havent gotten help at all.
