I honestly don’t know where to start my experience was amazing I rushed right after work so it was really late and they were fully accommodating from the front desk rep Megan to the nurse frank helping me and assisting me and answering all my questions ! Dr.tan was amazing as well she made me feel comfortable and actually heard ! As well as Ernesto!
This group of health professionals at the Austin Mercy Center in Pflugerville were very hospitable. They made me feel at ease and were very attentive to my needs. Customer service here was superb! I am out of town and I’m not familiar with the area but they made me feel just like I was home. I am appreciative of the Admissions Representative Alexa, the Radiology Tech, Jan, the Nurse, Kaitlyn, and of course the Doctor Colunga. Thery all gave me a positive and memorable experience and I’m sure if you come here you will receive the same.Thank you all so much,Cassandra
Megan was incredible and knowledgeable. She helped explain the billing policy so clearly for us so we could make an informed decision. Dr. Colin’s and Frank were also great!
This was such an incredible place to be seen. Alexa, the admissions rep, was so kind to me and my partner when he arrived. Jan, the radiology tech, was so understanding and patient in helping me with x rays. Carlos, the nurse, was so nice and very clear and helpful while speaking with me. Dr. Colunga was phenomenal. He explained all the injuries clear and he made sure I left without any questions. This team was phenomenal! Im so overwhelmingly thankful I found this team in the time of an emergency!
My experience was GREAT! The doctor (Laroe) was really helpful and explained everything to me in detail on my injury. Nurse (Fatima) was great in getting me set up and helping me before I saw the doctor! I would highly recommend this location as they strive on customer services, low wait times and treating you correctly
Great nursing staff and doctor. They asked questions, were considerate and thorough in their explanations of diagnosis and treatment. The wait time wasn’t too long. The facility was really clean. They also followed up quickly with test results and checking in on how I was doing 24 hours after leaving the ER.
**THIS IS NOT AN URGENT CARE**You are better off going to the actual emergency room. This business pops up when exclusively searching for an area urgent care, so please be aware that you’ll be charged as if you went somewhere they could actually help you, such as St David’s, or Seton.I went here with indescribable stomach pain about a month ago, sat in the waiting room for close to an hour, but magically when I went up to the receptionist to double check that they accept my insurance, she said “they should” and almost instantly I was called back, as if they don’t want me asking additional questions about insurance coverage. There was no one else in the waiting room, and the patient rooms I saw while walking back were completely empty. So why the hour wait but the sudden call back after asking questions? I wish I would have inquired more but I was in so much pain. It was only then in the room that you see miniature signs that this was not an urgent care, which at that point I’d already received an IV and had my blood drawn.I decided to stay as the pain was too much, but after an hour of waiting and a quick exam by the ER doctor that all but dismissed my feelings, he said it’s likely just a tummy ache and to let it run its course. I was exhausted at this point and decided to just gone home and try to sleep it off.I received a notification by email a few days ago of my out of pocket bill for this useless trip - $28.000!!!! To sit in a waiting room for 1 hour, sit in the patient room for an additional hour, have my blood drawn, and be spoken down to by the doctor. They did nothing for me, and aren’t even covered by my insurance because it is **NOT AN URGENT CARE**This is ridiculous and I will be reaching out to their billing department because I am NOT paying the amount of an SUV for the service I did not receive.**DO NOT GO HERE FOR CONVENIENCE, please just go to an actual ER if an urgent care is unavailable to you**
The entire staff here is incredible! We were in and out quickly, treated with the utmost respect and care, and my kid who is usually scared of the doctor couldnt stop talking about how comfortable he was here. Huge thank you to Dr. Irving, nurse Frank, and Megan at the front desk for making a hard night so much easier!!
My husband was in urgent need of medical attention, we looked up the facility and drove to it, and literally almost did not stop due to all the vagrants and darkness surrounding the building. However, we had no choice so he was dropped off at the very front of the building and I quickly found the parking space and scurried inside. On a brighter note, the staff and the service was incredible, we could not have felt more welcomed and comfortable. We especially enjoyed speaking with Megan and Anselmo (spelling on his name?).
I never leave reviews but i definitely had to this time. Went there around 7am with severe pain in my lower right quadrant. The staff was friendly, I got my diagnosis very quickly and they took amazing care of me. They made sure I was pain free before I left. I appreciate you all! 5 stars ⭐️
My apology for the delay in this post, but Im just now feeling better. I had to go into the facility on the 4th of August. I started feeling bad three days prior.Id been experiencing extreme throat pain, and I had trouble breathing. I thought it was one thing, but Im so glad that I had the thought to go in.Upon completion of a couple of tests, I was informed that I had Covid. I was devastated because this would be my third time having it. Needless to say, it was worse than the last two times. However, in spite of the news, the staff there seems to always make me feel better. Not that its the place I want to frequent, in any way. I can say that every time Ive had to go under not so great circumstances, the staff has made the experience better.Theyre very attentive and kind. They treat me with care, as if I were a family member they were taking care of. It makes the world of difference when youre already feeling bad.Id like to say thank you to Dr. Huggins for treated me and showing genuine concern. To Pete, that was my nurse that day, whos such a gentleman and very thoughtful. Also, Alexa, who was at the front admissions, thank you so much. From the beginning to the end of my visit, your professionalism, courtesy, and sweet demeanor mean more than you know. Thank you all again.
My nurse Mallorie and the admissions rep Alexa took great care of me while i was there. I was out of it for the most part and they were very kind and compassionate. Made the experience much easier!
Megan was the best, most personable admissions rep I’ve met. Everyone else on our doctors team was so helpful and great with our 22 month old! Thankful we came here!
I went in because I was extremely dehydrated and hadn’t been able to keep food or water down for over 12 hours. Everyone was extremely welcoming and kind. I asked for some IV fluids which I thought would help. They refused, but gave me nausea medication and an ice pop.Since then, however, I have seen four different physicians and explained to them the treatment I received. Every single one of them was in disbelief and convinced me I received terrible healthcare. It seems IV fluids are common sense for extreme dehydration, but I was refused that simple care.Again, everyone was nice, but after having four other physicians express their disapproval of this situation, I’ve decided to leave a bad review. My hope is that they’ll provide better treatments for folks in that situation in the future.
Everyone was super sweet. ❤️ I came in extremely dehydrated and needed a IV from a stomach bug Ive been having for a week 😞 and they treated me like a queen. 🫅🏻💪🏻
Very kind and helpful. Im new to the area gave me lots of local resources for primary care which I appreciated. My son felt comfortable and didnt even freak out while getting a IV.THANK YOU DR COLUNGA AND ASLEMCARLOS VERONICA AND ALEXA. We appreciate all you do !!!Nicole VanOrden
I had a medical issue that required attention. The team here was very supportive, courteous, professional, with amazing customer service. I worked with Dr. Rogers, Nurse Frank, Lazos, and Megan. Every interaction was great. While the medical issue was stressful, the team here did a phenomenal job of keeping me calm and very well informed.
Excellent service! Got in quick and the care team was very understanding and very patient! They explained their tiers so well as I am self pay.
I called in extreme pain and alerted them I was on my way. I spoke with Victoria and she helped calm me down. I was in pain could barely walk and already met at the door with a wheelchair. I am so grateful to her Jan, Marissa, and Dr. Colunga. They listened to me and they validated my concerns through their empathy and being thorough in identifying the problem. I have a perforated colon with an abscess and I could be sad but I’m not. I felt so cared for here and in this moment that everything feels okay. I’m okay. This team is amazing and if I could say more about them I would.
- Transparent pricing and ethical business practices. Highly professional and efficient services.- The initial evaluation is free of charge, then a quote is provided for further treatment.- They accept most private insurances, but do NOT accept any Medicare, Medicaid, or TriCare (no exceptions, even for medical emergencies).- Thank you, Dr. Hudgins!
June 27, 2024 I went to Austin Emergency Center in Pflugerville, Texas (never been here before, I just googled Emergency Room near me and they were 8 mins away) and received the best care from admission to discharge. The medical team was so professional, encouraging and supportive and determined to offer help and relief! Ursula was my Admission Rep and she was very nice and kept a smile on her face. I went late at night and left early in the morning and she was still upbeat and in good positive spirits to where you can tell she loves what she does! My nurse Antonio made sure I was comfortable and responded to any request or concerns that I had during my stay there. I ask a lot of questions in general because I like to know what’s going on and he never got tired of answering my questions and made sure that I understood my treatment and what was going on during the process of my stay. My Doctor was Dr. Colunga, who was very knowledgeable and skilled and paid attention to detail. I told him all of the medication (when asked) that I was taking and after they provided me with pain medication through IV it donged on me that I had forgot about the pain patch on my arm. I was so worried so I called my nurse and was met by Arin, the ER tech and advised him that I had a pain patch that I forgot to inform the doctor about and he immediately told the Doctor and reported back to me that Doctor Colunga said that he saw it on my arm while his nurse was doing my vitals and that it was documented. Aron made sure that I was comfortable, always asked if I needed help getting out of the bed, brought me warm blankets and pillows to make sure that I was comfortable. This staff is truly amazing and I was so blessed to be in such great hands! The worse thing ever is to be in pain and have to deal with people that are not professional or don’t want to be at work and I’m so glad that my experience was the absolute best. Thank you again Austin Emergency Center! You all are the absolute best!!!!!
The attention was amazing, The honesty of Dr. Laroe, her attention and pleasure to serve was outstanding, the staff, nurse and technician as well. I highly recommend this Emergency Room in case you needs.
They were so kind and generous! Did everything they could to help my daughter and me and my wife! Lovely staff continually seeking to provide great service!
I trust this team with my family’s health. Every time we have come in we have received prompt and superb care. Thank you Dr. Kathuria, our nurse Carlos, and our rad tech Jan for helping our young son’s chest xray and medical examination go as smoothly as possible today. And of course thank you to Alexa for the swift check-in. Really appreciate everything you all do! It’s not easy to provide emergency medical care but somehow you all do it so well.
These guys were absolutely wonderful and thorough from start to finish! Alexa was just a ray of sunshine when I walked in. Very sweet and helpful. Nurse Morgan is comforting and patient. Dr. Hudgins took time to talk with me, was honest (no unnecessary up charges, suggested only what he thought would be helpful) and has a great sense of humor. I did end up having an xray done and Jan and Arin were helpful, nice and knowledgeable. I never felt rushed and I appreciated the time to talk over everything. I originally went to an urgent care and they sent me here due to my issues.I hope I don’t have to see these guys again but if I do… I know I am in good hands!
Brought my girlfriend to be treated for an inflamed small intestine and 102 degree fever. Everyone was really attentive and as all reviews have mentioned the emergency center was comfortable and clean. The wait time was low and the doctor and nurses were extremely thorough and attentive. Big shout out to the entire team who helped (Dr. Colunga, Morgan, Veronica, Jennifer)!
So DR. Mcreynolds nurse Pete, Jan, and Alexa all are amazing. Everyone is really nice, and even if you think you cant afford it they will give you ways to. Its really not expensive like one would think, and youre not just paying for care but, service with a smile honestly. They will work with you any way they can. Ill be back if I have any other issues.
I’ve brought my spouse here twice and they are so nice especially today. Dr. Doliner and nurse Morgan both were knowledgeable on the situation and were able to explain the possible issues going on right away and they ran test that the other offices didn’t consider. Also The radiology tech Ms. Veronica and Admissions Rep Ms. Jennifer were also very welcoming.
Nurse Peter and the staff at the emergency center were incredibly nice and friendly from the moment I walked in. They were attentive, compassionate, and professional throughout my visit. Their warm demeanor helped ease my anxiety during a stressful time. I highly recommend this emergency center for their exceptional care and welcoming atmosphere.
Dr.Papendieck, Nurse Kimba, Nurse Frank, RT Veronica and deck Rep Chris are amazing. Genuinely treated with such care and kindness and explained everything very well.
My experience all started with a warm welcome from Megan at the front. After that it was all uphill from there. My nurse, Elmo, was very attentive and helpful during the process. Then comes Dr. Lobdell who provided expertise medical care for my ailment and I’m forever grateful for this team. Thanks team for making my experience a pleasant one. It’s rare that you’ll get that from ER places.🤙🏽
Sliced my hand when a glass broke while doing dishes. They got me in super quick, Meg was super friendly at check in and helped with paperwork while my hand wasnt useful. Dr Rogers and the nurse Frank has great great bedside manner, making sure I didnt have any questions and touching me all I needed stitches wise and for future care. Definitely recommend.
Honestly thank goodness for this team. I can in with the most severe pain of my life and the team staring with Alexa calmly working with my husband for paperwork and then Pete came over and was the calm in the storm I needed. Veronica explained so much through all stamps and possible feelings for a CAT scan to ease my nerves and then Dr. McReynolds was the most reassuring and kindest Doctor… I dont plan to be back but I do appreciate the level of care that makes me trust health care again. Thank you to this whole staff
I’ve been here several times and my visits are always very friendly, professional, and FAST! My most recent visit was for my kiddo and Dr Colunga and Nurse Morgan made my child feel at ease even though he was scared. Jennifer at admissions was kind and prompt getting us back. I highly recommend this facility for quick and pleasant service.
I really debated whether I wanted to leave this review and decided it could save someone else a terrible experience. I recently went in to this ER with severe vomiting and nausea. The nurse on staff tried to start an IV and blew 3 of my veins. After the second one blew in my arm, I asked them to stick my hand because it was already bruising and painful. The nurse proceed to continue pressing and prodding that area and said no I’m gonna stick you in the vein right next to it and proceeded to blow that one as well. As he was pressing down on the IV to pull it out, I was saying ow ow because it was bruising and hurt and he mumbled under his breath how I was sensitive. The experience made me so uncomfortable that I refused to be stuck for a 4th time and asked to be discharged. I was then stuck with a $500 bill for 3 blown veins and zofran that worked for about 30 minutes. It would be one thing if this was a new nurse who treated me kindly, but he also kept coming back in and making jokes like “did the acupuncture make you feel better?” No it actually didn’t, it caused me more pain and prevented me from getting any treatment. And making light of the situation after already disregarding me saying NO I don’t want you to stick me there, please do it in my hand, and belittling my pain by saying I am sensitive. I think my bruising shows enough that I was not sensitive and was genuinely being hurt. I would not recommend this facility.
Ive came here twice and they are so nice especially today. Dr. Doliner and nurse Morgan both were knowledgeable on my what problems/issues I’ve been having and were able to explain what may be the cause right away and they ran test that the other offices didn’t consider which gave me some comfort. Also The radiology tech Ms. Veronica and Admissions Rep Ms. Jennifer were also very welcoming.
Amazing friendly and helpful staff, front desk Morgan and Alexa were so sweet and the nurses were very friendly and efficient. i came in at 6:30 and left by 8 all in all was a pleasant experience. DR rogers was efficient but the nurses Morgan and Elmo made the experience pleasant.100$ for prescription
Front desk awful, medical staff amazing. Front desk needs empathy and bed side manner training if they want to continue to work in medical.
Megan was very welcoming at the front desk and very helpful during my visit. Elmo was also very kind as my nurse and made me feel very at ease as a patient. Both of them made what is usually an uncomfortable experience at the doctors office a pleasant one.
Went to this facility for medical care, and my experience from admissions to being seen by the doctor was very comforting and felt I was going to be taken care of. Alexia was friendly and explained all forms to be signed. Pete (nurse) was professional and friendly. Dr Scaff was attentive, polite, professional and even made me laugh, so I would not be nervous with the procedure. The team on this day was excellent.
Ive had to come to Austin ER a few times. Jennifer is always so helpful. She made the check in process simple and quick. Dr Colunga and nurse Morgan were amazing. My son was a little scared but they calmed him down and made the visit pleasant.
Dr.colubga was very fast and informative. My nurse Morgan was Very nice and calm and made me feel comfortable. Jennifer was a great admissions rep. Helpful and fast. Veronica came to see if anything was needed from me
I was pretty surprised with all the positive reviews for this place after my experience. Yes, everyone is nice and complimentary, but the doctor was not very helpful. I was seen for severe ear and head pain and dizziness. The doctor literally asked me if there was a specific diagnosis I was looking for. This really threw me off, as I am not a doctor. I was in so much pain it was hard for me to speak, and very dizzy with a headache. Ruled out ear infection, covid, flu, and strep, but never even mentioned a possible sinus infection. I asked if they considered a sinus infection while signing aftercare paperwork with my nurse, to which he said, “Didn’t the doctor talk to you? Let’s just go over this paperwork.” then sent me on my way, still in pain, still with no known cause.I am a woman, and everyone who helped me aside from the receptionist was a man. I’m not accusing anyone of anything, but I definitely felt like I was being viewed as dramatic and not taken seriously.I was in too much pain to advocate for myself properly, so if you are going here I suggest bringing someone with you. As I write this I am STILL in a lot of pain and likely going to have to go to another doctor for it.
Came in with back pain and in a wheel chair and I’m leaving walking! Yay me!! Everyone was SUPER AMAZING! First point of contact was Alexa! Very nice! Then Morgan came in and helped me a lot! Dr. Farr was the best as well! Y’all made my day!
Clean facility, easy to find, but most importantly the staff were so helpful, nice, and communicative. Would recommend for sure. They are a great stand-alone ER
I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Alexis got us in so fast and answered all our questions abiut billing on the way out. We did not have to wait at all. The service and the employees were all sooo nice. Jan was great with drawing my blood and the IV, it didnt hurt like it usually does. Pete was great, he took my vitals and explained it all. Dr. Aslam was also very patient and answered all of our questions. I really was not planning on coming to the ER today (who does?) but you all made it so that it wasnt so bad. Thank you!
SCAM!! I went here bc my doctor couldn’t see me for a week. I understand paying extra for convenience. I had a fever and thought that I might have covid. I needed a test for Covid, strep, and flu to find out if I could return to work. They were nice. Super nice. I saw a doctor and a nurse for a total of 15 min. They let me rest while my $30 Tylenol dose and then 20 min later my $25 Motrin dose, kicked in. Checked on me. Then the bill came. Sitting in that room for 40 min to rest off my fever and seeing a doctor and nurse for 15 min cost me $12,000!!!! My insurance paid over $9k and they billed me for the difference of over $3k. I would have been okay with a billing of $1000, and even that is robbery. My doctor charges $500, so $1000 would have been double and reasonable. But $12,000!!? Run!!
Not our first rodeo with a health scare and Austin ER has earned our trust before and again. From our initial greeting by Alexa to the care provided by nurse Pete and Dr McReynolds, the process was smooth and reassuring. In a stressful situation, this is the kind of environment that you would hope for, competent, thorough, and caring.
I unfortunately had an allergic reaction, however this was the place to go for it! Dr. Dolby, Pete, Tiffany, and the rest of the staff acted so incredibly swiftly and professionally. Literally the fast ER room I’ve been to in my life. Also everyone was so nice, a sincere shoutout/thank you to everyone mentioned before and Jan, Carmela, Megan, and Matt!10/10
Matt Rn, Megan, Dr. Colunga supper awesome people with a really awesome attitude. I felt welcome when entering and everyone is super nice and always making sure you’re okay. This will be a place if you want fast and friendly medical care.
This place is great! They got me in super fast. Dr. Hudgins, nurse Morgan, and Alexa were all very nice and professional. I highly recommend this ER. Note, its not an urgent care.
Called and then went to the facility with severe left shoulder pain. I left approximately 2 hours later, still in severe pain. Took 2 xrays and ruled out fracture or dislocation.Treating dr did not diagnose or offer a work release note. No instructions from him, no offer to give me something for my pain. He did prescribe medication for pain.Turns out I had a pinched nerve. Received a bill for over 8 thousand dollars, my portion almost 600. Totally ridiculous to pay this amount of money and get no relieve. I had a driver but no help was offered. I DO NOT recommend this location for anyone seeking relieve from pain symptoms. The nurse was super helpful and kind. Dr and admin staff were not kind or helpful.
Let me just say this DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They obviously don’t know what they are doing at all. I took my boyfriend in because he had a fever and severe throat pain. They basically sent him on his way and said just take Tylenol and rest. His fever was not going away. I took a look at the back of his throat and it was completely white like a huge tonsil stone so I immediately thought it a was strep throat. I took him back to the same place and told them to specifically test for strep throat. A women comes in to swab his throat which I feel was done improperly because after she swabbed him she walked out with the swab all out in the open no tube or anything. 15 mins later they told him no its not strep throat just keep taking the Tylenol. At this point he is feeling terrible so I took him to the hospital and the doctor immediately said it was strep throat after one look. So he tested him and it indeed came back as strep throat. All that pain he went through for days when it could’ve been avoided.
Austin Emergency Center Pflugerville was absolutely fantastic. The staff was caring and helpful. I would recommend them 100%
Kind! So kind!! Dr Irving , Frank, Lonnie and Megan were so welcoming, patient, informed and comforting!
Amazing visit. The doctor(Tan) and nurse(Elmo) were very helpful and attentive. Megan and Chris at the front desk were extremely helpful and answered all questions that we had about insurance.
Very friendly staff ,I was already feeling better as they make me comfy no rush smiling faces,May you do the same to others,You can make sickness dissappear because of you smiling faces
Called before driving here, requesting an ultrasound for a painful lump and made it very clear I already have an appointment with my OB but due to increased pain and the lump growing I called to see if I could at least get an ultrasound since my appointment isn’t for 2 weeks from now.I was told they can perform ultrasounds and that I can come in when I’m ready.Get there and the doctor says she cannot do an ultrasound as it’s outside of the scope of what they can diagnose.Charged me $350 for absolutely nothing
Amazing team and facility! We were seen in less than 5 minutes from walking in the door. From Skylar and Veronica to Nurse Pete and Dr. Rogers, the entire staff was incredibly communicative and open about our care options. Truly appreciate the care we received!
This Austin Emergency Center in Pflugerville, is unbelievably spectacular. EVERYONE THAT WORKS HERE GIVES NOTHING BUT IMPECCABLE, PRECISE, EFFICIENT SERVICES WITH A SMILE. They are caring, friendly and so incredibly helpful. I never felt rushed and I always leave here feeling better then I came in. Its like a family here. To Dr. McReynolds, Nurse Elmo, Radiology Jan and the very funny and delightful Megan the Admissions Rep. YOU ALL DESERVE A HUGE THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Great facility. Doctors and nurses were experienced and polite. Got me in, took care of my problem, and got me out. No problems, no long wait times and they were all friendly. Definitely recommend for anybody needing care outside their PCP.
Without a doubt the best ER experience Ive had. Everyone here was so kind and patient, and the nurse, technician, and doctor that cared for me were incredible! I waited less than 5 minutes... I didnt even have time to finish my paperwork before the staff was ready to help me back! If you need to go to the emergency room, this is the place to be!
This place was AMAZING! I was in literal TEARS. Alexis from reception greeted me so greatly and sweet! My Nurse Peter and Tech Tiffany were so sweet as well! I was seen by Dr. Dalby, she was welcoming, concerned and listened to my aching complaints. She knew exactly what plan of care I needed. I couldn’t be more thankful to this staff. As much as I wouldn’t want to see anyone in the ER. I definitely recommend this place over any others. I felt very well taken care of. ❤️🩹
I have had the best experience with this emergency center. Very professional soon as you walk in and big shout out to both of the girls up front Alexa and Megan you both make me want to work here. All staff was wonderful!!!
This was my first time coming toAustin Emergency Center. Everyone was nice, friendly, professional an super fast!. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you Doctor Kathuria, Nurse Pete, Tech Veronica and Admissions Rep Alexa 😀
Dr. McReynolds, Pete, Andy and Alexa took very good care of me when I was very ill. They made me feel welcomed, and I left the Austin emergency center feeling so much better than when I walked in! Thank you guys and I would recommend Your team to anyone!
This was such a great experience with the team onsite. They were quick to response to my questions and able to get me in. The team onsite (Dr Okpara, nurse Morgan, tech Tiffany and Admin Alexa) was so nice in answering questions and providing thorough care to me. I appreciate their bedside manner.
My daughter is Autistic a special needs adult. The staff made Kristen feel very comfortable and safe. That means so much. She has even said if anything happens again she wants to go back to that location. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have a very special staff. ❤️
Please STAY AWAY from this facility if you can. I received a bill for $3,078.00 for a 20 minute visit to the facility. To think that I was been evaluated for FLU A infection made it incredibly ridiculous. This charge was separate and apart from use of the facility which was an ADDITIONAL $682.00. When you visit the facility part of the disclosure in the intake forms that patients are required to sign includes that there will be separate 2 separate invoices. One for use of their facility and the other for the patients evaluation. Of course, this EVIL disclosure is in the fine print which the average person does not read prior to signing as part of the intake process. If I could provide any rating less than a 1 star for this facility, I definitely will do so. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!
Dr. Rollo, Elmo and Lazos were incredibly attentive and caring throughout my daughters entire visit. They demonstrated exceptional professionalism and made us feel comfortable, ensuring that all my questions and concerns were addressed promptly. Megan was efficient and welcoming, making the check-in process a breeze.
Your genuine concern and support have meant a lot to me .Thank you Dr Kathuria, Morgan,Tiffany,Alexa and Hannah for going Above and Beyond to ensure my Well-being
Dr Colunga was very informative and very helpful, Matt was a very helpful nurse! And Megan at the reception was super nice and helpful. We were seen quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend
I had Sarah front desk receptionist and she was absolutely fantastic and amazing to keep the mood light, I forgot about my headache when engaging with her. The entire staff was AMAZING, the doctor John Hudgins and the nurses were so sweet and patient with me and my newborn baby. my visit was quick and efficient to top it off. 1000% recommend people to come here for any of their medical needs instead of to a busy hospital.
Called after 9pm on a Saturday. I was at a pediatric urgent care and had a bad experience so called here and was answered immediately, spoke to Skye she was super helpful and kind even had something ready for my son who has Autism when we arrived. Frank was patient and kind with my son, and Dr. Singh was the same. They handled my minor issue as if it was important to them as it was to me. Andrew did the X-Ray and was awesome with my son who is non-verbal. Most importantly speed of service was Fantastic being that it was late on a Saturday I had virtually no wait and was on my way in no time. Also, I could play YouTube in the room for my kids! I will be back if I ever need urgent care or ER care for myself or children. Thank you!
Staff was super friendly and made sure we comfortable at all times. Alexa, Pete, Veronica, Matt and Dr. Cretella were truly amazing. I couldn’t recommend a better ER!
The staff was was very kind and understanding from the lady at the front desk at check in, the Nurse, the EKG specialist and the Doctor. They helped put me at ease and made sure I was okay to leave I was able to stay until I felt better. I wish to thank them so much for being a great team and being thorough and understanding.
I came to this ER after experiencing severe abdominal / flank pain with vomiting. I am chronically ill, so Ive had to go to the ER in the past. Most experiences elsewhere left me feeling worse than when I went in. That was not the case at AEC.Alexa at the front desk was able to understand that I needed help filling out paperwork. Julie helped me feel less faint with damp towels and started an IV with liquids as well as did a CT. My nurse Peter checked in on me often and advocated for me. Dr. Farr who helped me understand what the probable cause for my pain was, provided a multitude of solutions, and gave great advice. Every single person was kind, empathetic, and understanding. I hope I never have to come back, but if I did, I know I would be in great hands.
Came here on thanksgiving after giving myself a laceration on my index finger. I came in and was in & out in less than a hour. Alexa, the front desk person was efficient and helped me quickly. Dr.Cretella did an excellent job and treated me with kindness, I am grateful they were open today.
I was in and out within 30 minutes. The staff were very helpful and were willing to help me with my prescription. The pricing was also unavailable cheap taking in the fact I dont have insurance at the moment. I would recommend this place. You wont regret.
Doctors and nurses that saw me were very friendly and helpful. I was able to get the tests I needed done in a timely manner as well. I’m recommending this facility to those close to me for their emergency medical needs.
Very bad doctor. He looked at my wound in my finger and asked when did it stop bleeding. I told him an hour after it happened. He proceeded to grab my finger and with both his hands he opened the wound forcefully and he says “now it’s bleeding” blood gushed everywhere and on my shirt. Very unprofessional doctor. Then he takes out all of the things to do the stitching very aggressively and I asked I thought you guys would tell me how much this would cost before we proceeded with anything. He gets mad and leaves and slams the door. I don’t know his name but he’s bald and wears rectangular glasses and he’s white
WOW!! I loved the service here. Everyone was so friendly and professional! I worked with a few people here; Morgan, Veronica, and Alexis. My doctor was Dr. Singh and he was amazing. So personable and made it a great experience. I wish this was a primary care office! I will definitely be back, heaven forbid it isn’t any time soon.
The staff at Austin Emergency Center provided gentle and exceptional care. I came in after a car accident and was taken care of promptly. The admissions rep, Alexis was so sweet and helped me get checked in right away. Dr.Hudgins was thorough and you can tell that he genuinely cares for his patients! I would absolutely recommend this emergency room to anyone else.
Had to bring my son in at 2 am, was greeted and taken care of quickly. EXTREMELY friendly staff, very personable and professional. Went over everything with us. Didn’t feel rushed and felt very welcomed. Our insurance wasn’t accepted but I didn’t mind because the experience was exceptional. So very thankful to the staff that took care of my baby! Wish all healthcare providers were like the ones we encountered at Austin emergency center.
Excellent staff . They were compassionate, prompt, efficient and professional.
What a great staff! Friendly, compassionate, and professional. And they probably saved my life on top of it. Highly recommended.Update - my wife was experiencing some severe pain in her back radiating down her right arm. We went to Austin Emergency Center again, and were seen in minutes. The staff again was fantastic - great bedside manner!
Been to this ER a handful of times and every single time Ive received amazing service and have been taken seriously with all my concerns. Frank is the best nurse Ive ever met! Megan was the sweetest and greeted me with all the patience. Everyone is very kind and I always know Ill be taken care of here. Thank you to the whole team 💛
Great experience with my toddler at this location. The staff were all very nice to my 3 yr old and made her feel safe. She was given juice and stickers that was nice! X-rays we’re done at an incredible speed. Will continue to come back if needed.
Excellent care. Incredibly quick to see a physician, everyone was courteous and helpful and thorough in evaluation. Highly recommend for your emergent care needs.8/1/22 Addition to initial review: I cant say enough about this ER. Not only was the care exceptional, but the personal attention to client need, follow-up with the doctor after my visit, and contact from the care team to ensure I was feeling better and had no questions...it was service I have never received. There was great benefit to going to this stand-alone ER - a fabulous concept. No one has to go to the ER, but if you have a choice, AEC is a wise one!
I had a great experience at this emergency center. They saw me immediately, and were very caring and excellent. Alexis was so kind and got me in fast; and Dr, Farr’s team, Morgan and Andrea, were very attentive and caring. Great experience - this will be my go-to ER.
Very professional and informative as well as patient!!!! All of the staff was amazing!!! We were out of town and they treated us like family!
Came in a nervous wreck and left completely at ease! The ENTIRE staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and phenomenal with children! I am more than grateful to have the experience that I did. This facility actually gets 8 stars 🌟
Very nice staff. Lower price than a hospital from my experience. They were attentive and took my issue seriously. Also lgbt friendly!
Amazing staff! Everyone was wonderful! From Dr. Poer to the nurse Frank, the radiology tech., Lagos, and especially Megan the Admission Rep! So sweet and friendly and we were in and out and my son received awesome care !
This place was so great it was actually kind of baffling. They were great at providing clear and accurate info about billing. Super clean. Efficient registration. The nurse called me back before I could get my wallet back into my bag. He was extremely competent and friendly. The doctor was in within 30 seconds of the nurse leaving. The whole experience took under 30 minutes. *Be aware that they bill as an ER, not an Urgent Care, so your copay might be higher than expected, but if you need an ER this place is amazing.
My overall experience was great!! I arrived and was seen immediately by the fantastic woman at the front desk. She was very friendly and explained all i needed to know. Within 5 minutes i was called to the examination room, seen by two nurses and the Doctor followed. The only flaw i had was that the Doctor was ruling out a few things before actually having any test done which did not make me feel very confident about his diagnosis. All in all it was a fast visit with a wonderful staff.. Great job!!
I highly recommend Austin Emergency Center (Pflugerville). My daughter was complaining of chest and left arm pain and numbness. The classic heart attack symptoms. She was immediately called back and seen. Michele the nurse and Miguel took and ran the necessary test to rule out any and all cardiac issues. Dr. Rogers came in the room with test results and explained that she was having chest wall pain as a result of extreme anxiety and stress and that her heart was just fine. The entire staff from the time we were greeted by the front desk admissions representative Megan, until the time my daughter was discharged. Megan was very caring, kind and so compassionate inregard to my daughters condition. I was so impressed with the AWESOME TEAM that provided such loving care for us last night.❤️❤️❤️
Service is good. But watch out for the bill, which will be far more than you expected. Overpriced.I went in 2022 August, and paid $150 that night. The doctor helped me checked my right eye and could not find contact, which fell already I did not realized it. The nurse helped me rinsed my eye and told me to see eye doctor next day to make sure. After 7 months, I got bill and ask for $350. On the statement, my insurance already paid for $2072. Is it crazy overpriced for a lost contact check? The reason I went in is that was my first time wearing contacts and I was too nervous. I called before I go to make sure the charge is reasonable. They told me 150 dollar that time.
I was seen at AEC Pflugerville for flu like symptoms and was given excellent care from Dr. Gill, Julie the Rad tech, Morgan the RN, and Alexa at the front desk. The whole process was seamless and I’m grateful I chose AEC instead of a large hospital ER where I would’ve waited much longer without the same amount of quality care given. Thanks AEC team!
Doctor Scaff was amazing! I have never had a great experience at any ER in my life until yesterday. Not only did Dr. Scaff have amazing bedside manners, he made me feel comfortable and worried feel as I had to do a very scary and unpleasant procedure. He made me as comfortable as possible and walked me through everything that was happening and explained everything in detail. I wish he had his own practice as I would definitely become a new patient. The Nurse Frank was also very knowledgeable when it came to all my discharge papers. He answered everyone of my questions with confidence and I left knowing everything I needed to know and was very free about my next steps of what I had to do for at home care. The administration rep Ashley was also very kind and helpful when I came into the facility as it was my first time there. I highly recommend Austin emergency center to anyone who needs help, you will be in amazing hands here.
Everyone was amazing. Second time here, wouldnt change a thing. My options were easy to understand and carefully explained. Less costly then big ER and personalized. I really appreciate you much. Friendly from Admissions(Alexis), to Nurse John, Radiology(Tiffany) and most importantly Dr. Patterson. Thank you again.
After the abysmal experience I had at a different ER in Houston, I had to come back and give a stellar review for the doctor and nurses who cared for me in September. Dr. Craig de Waal was incredible. He was so patient and listened to me with so much intent and care. He didn’t seem rushed or incredulous of my pain. He gave me great treatment and explained everything I needed to do after I left in great detail and why I should do these things. I didn’t give 5 stars simply because the wait time was insane- took like 2 hours to get into a room when there was nobody else in the waiting room but us. However once I was able to be seen everyone was so kind and helpful- I cried from relief after I left for being treated so respectfully and kindly and getting relieved of my pain.
Shout out to admissions rep Skye, for her warm embrace. Thank you to radiology tech Andy for his inviting smile. Nurse Charlie was very nourishing and ensured that I was comfortable. Last but not least thank you, Dr. Conner for the great conversation, observation and ultimate care!!! My experience was prestige and I definitely recommend!
Dr Nash, Megan, Elmo, & Veronica were an awesome team while assisting me with a medical issue. They were caring, understanding , quick, and efficient . I appreciate your help on Monday. Thank you! Great service at this location. Go check them out!
Went in at 9pm with breathing problems and was called back quickly. Cant remember names for the life of me but whoever was working the desk at 9:00pm on 9/26 and a young male RN was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Rogers seemed like he genuinely cared for my condition. They listened to what I had to say and Ive never had a better experience at an emergency center.
The staff were very attentive to my needs. I was seen almost right away, and was checked on several times. I appreciate the care the team had for me. The team I worked with (Dr. Conner, Morgan, Krystal, and Skylar) were very personable and respectful towards me.
I came to the ER after a soccer injury. From the moment I walked in everyone was very caring and treated me well. Deana the lady at the front was very welcoming. There was no wait time and the nurse Morgan and Dr. Hudgins came out to the waiting room to bring me a wheelchair to take me back to the room. Andy who did my CT scan was very careful not to add any additional pain while getting the images. The staff really took the time to understand my injury, make me feel comfortable and help stabilize my leg until I could schedule an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. The staff here are awesome and it is way faster than going to a traditional Hospital ER.
Never good when your have to come to an emergency room. But the experience was quite peaceful and helpful.Dr KathuriaNurse FrankRadiology tech JanAdmission MeganEr tech Alex. All were extremely professional, courteous and sweet.
Dr. Okpara, Tiffany and Alexa are the best asset of this place. Everyone was so nice, installations clean and considering how stressful an ER visit can be, they made it smooth and comforting
I was in Austin on vacation when I woke up with some awful pain late on a Saturday night. I could not have been more pleased with my experience here! I had expected a terrible 2 hour wait to see the doctor (as I have experienced in every other urgent care place), but was pleasantly surprised. There was zero wait time! The absolute best part though was the amazing staff. Everyone was so kind and friendly! The nurse was really sweet and put me at ease immediately. The doctor was very knowledgeable, and he explained everything to me very well. He was so personable and very easy to talk to.I would highly recommend this First Choice ER to anyone and everyone. My only regret is that this isnt my regular doctors office.
Since the moment we walked in with our sick 3 year old everyone was so kind and helpful. Our admission rep Skylar walked us through the check in process and our nurse Charlie was amazing (offered us Gatorade for our baby who was dehydrated and brought our daughter a coloring sheet and stickers). Our doctor Dr.Demehri was so thorough and listened to our concerns and went over the test results with us.A few days later we received a letter in the mail with well wishes for our baby.We will come back to Austin emergency center in Pflugerville for any medical emergency because they truly feel like a safe space. Thank you for your kindness and care! If I could I would give you 100 stars.
My husband and I came in to get our daughter checked out after she fell. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and we got checked in. There was no wait time so we were promptly taken back by the night nurse and he was very patient and treated our daughter with such gentleness and kindness. The doctor came in and explained what he was going to do and answered all our questions. It was one of the fastest and nicest experiences weve had when dealing with and ER situation. We would highly recommend them!Thank you for being so great!!
The staff were very accommodating and involved in my care. They checked on me periodically while I waited for the doctor and showed empathy for my concerns. The wait time wasn’t a wait at all. The facility was very very clean!! The staff were well groomed and professional. The location is also very convenient.
This was not the service I expected. It was BETTER! The online scheduling was easy to use. We were able to get in within the hour without sitting in the waiting room for all that time. Although, once we arrived I had a hard time pulling my kids out of the waiting room. They were having so much fun playing and looking at magazines. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed with the facility as well as the efficiency. The staffs bedside manner with my 7 year old daughter made her feel very comfortable. They listened to her and related to her throughout the visit.Thank you for your kindness and your quality care!
AMAZING SERVICE! Went in and the service from the beginning WAS AMAZING! Megan the PSR was very sweet. Frank the nurse who took my vitals was very comforting and made sure and checked on me often. Dr Singh COOLEST DR very calm patient and explains everything so well !!
I am astounded at the level of care I received the other day for my kidney infection. Dr. Rollo was an expert. Charlie, my nurse, was so skilled and experienced. Veronica, my Radiology Tech, performed my CT scan and she is just an angel. Skye, the admissions rep, was such a sweetheart. I really cannot recommend this facility enough. I have been several times over the years with my family for various reasons and I have never been let down. It has been a 5 star experience every time. Thank you so much, AEC Pflugerville. You guys are gems and you always have such a dedicated, compassionate, experienced team working.
I had the absolute BEST experience here Megan my admissions rep is a doll of a human and was sooo welcoming and nice to me! Wonderful women she helped me with my payment plan and everything! Dr. Hudgins was my doctor and he did absolutely amazing as well, he made me and my healthy a priority and it’s rare you find that anywhere. He was extremely nice to me and understanding, it’d be a mistake to go anywhere else for your care and I’ll definitely choose this place every time I ever have another emergency! 💕
Super fast and super helpful! All staff members do a great job getting you in and out. Skye and Tiffany did a good job getting me set up to see Doctor Hudgins! Been coming here for two years and there still as helpful as always!
Despite the pain I was feeling the care team made the experience bearable. The bed side manner was A-1! From the nurses and the doctor I seen which was Dr. Mac Reynolds’s. I felt truly cared about, compared to other places I have been to.
I had a very great experience with First Choice. It was really early when I came in, so there was no guests in the waiting room (but that could be attributed to their fast service). The waiting room is clean and well lit (I even liked the Tangled wall mural-you need to see it). The receptionist was very caring and attentive. She did tell me that they would charge insurance at the ER rate--so, no surprises. I was immediately brought to the treatment room which was garnished with a TV. The room was clean, and well equipped, and did not smell. I was attended to almost immediately and a doctor was in only a few minutes after the technician took my vitals. The worst part was getting a penicillin injection, but the technician warned me ahead of time (which I REALLY appreciated) that it would hurt. She gave me some helpful tips to help with pain at the injection site and checkout was a breeze. I even went home with a very informative information packet. The personal Thank You note was a very nice touch. TIME AT VISIT: 35min. Highly recommend for emergencies.
All the staff at clinic were amazing! Dr.Kathuria was informative and attentive. Nurse Morgan was caring and patient, and the radiology tech Crystal was great. Also the admissions rep Grant helped through the admit process quickly and politely. Highly recommend for an urgent ER needs.
The staff at First Choice Emergency Room were outstanding! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs emergency care. All of the staff were very considerate, nice and helpful. The nurse, Belinda Sykes, was amazing. Her concern and care were the best. When I left, I felt better both physically and mentally. I knew if I had any further questions or concerns, they would be there to answer my questions. I am so glad we went here.
Excellent care and service. By far our best experience with any ER, stand alone or part of a larger hospital. Dr Hudgins, RN Morgan, RT Rad, and the Admissions Rep Sarah were an absolute delight and could have asked for a better crew!
I honestly have mixed feelings about this place. Although I was seen and brought back fairly quickly.. as a woman who struggles with fertility complications and just had a miscarriage, Dr. Bruce Scaffs was completely dismissive and insensitive breaking the news. He suggest blood work to see my exact hormone level, but because my pregnancy is now testing negative he didn’t see it necessary for any treatment or aftercare. I was between 4-8 weeks pregnant. The whole time he kept letting his phone ring and go off while trying to discuss this very serious and traumatic experience. Completely unprofessional. He did not properly greet me when walking in and just made me feel very overlooked and diminishing about me being pregnant to begin with. Did not offer his condolences, anything. Wouldn’t recommend him but the staff and ladies there were very understanding and kind.
This was my first time at this ER & if I ever need service again, I will be returning. The front desk staff are friendly & welcoming. The doctor was really nice & knowledgable & if felt like there was no wait time.
My visit to Austin Emergency Center was a quick, painless and smooth process. As soon as I entered the building the Admissions Rep, Alexis, quickly got my registration paperwork to me and within 5-7 minutes the nurse who’s name was Charlie called me to the back. They were kind and empathetic, as I have an ear infection which I hadn’t experienced before. I was seen by Dr. Hopkins who immediately knew what my issue was and got me in and out. I’d definitely visit here again if I am sick.
Had to bring my daughter in to the ER for she wasn’t feeling very well and I was unable to get an appt. with her pediatrician. The visit was wonderful from the time we walked through the door. We were greeted by Alexis whom got us registered. Within 2min or less Nurse Hannah M. & Andy came out to the lobby to get us and bring us back to the room. They were the sweetest nurse and rad tech. Very attentive and caring towards my daughter. Immediately started triaging my daughter. The physician came in and evaluated my daughter while the nurse triaged. Great team work from the whole staff. Thank You!!!
I had a lot of abdominal pain and GI upset, and came here based on reviews. They were able to rehydrate me and run bloodwork. Charlie, the nurse, was super sweet. Be aware they are a freestanding hospital, so make sure you know your copay.
I brought my 2 year old to this clinic on September 4th at around 5 am. She was burning up, and I was very concerned it would be something more serious than a cold. The receptionist was so kind. He kindly helped me navigate my way there and was very patient with two hollering girls so early in the morning. We were almost immediately walked in to the room where my daughter was evaluated. The staff and Dr. were both great and reassuring. The whole process took under an hour, and my girls were gifted with a bag of candies. I made it to work on time, and my daughter got over her cold in about a week. The doctor called the following day to follow up on her status and we even received a nice post card wishing her a speedy recovery. I highly recommend this clinic. Great and fast service.
My experience at First Choice ER was great. I did not have to wait very long before I was taken back. (It was like 5 minutes, at most). The staff was friendly, personable, and professional. They explained things in a way that made sense, and did it in a respectful way. They got to know me, not only as a patient, but as a person as well. The nurse checked on me several times throughout my time there, and made sure that I was doing okay. I got results back from lab work and a CT scan in a reasonable amount of time. As I was leaving, they gave me a goody bag, and a CD of my CT scan in case I needed it for the future. The day after I left, they followed up through a phone call to check on me, and a day after that, I got a card from the staff saying that they hoped I felt better soon. First Choice ER went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a health care facility. I would recommend First Choice ER to anyone who needs medical attention and does not want to sit around for hours at a hospital ER.
I was taken back to see the nurse immediately as I arrived and there was no wait time. The staff was genuinely interested in helping me and provided me with everything I needed for comfort. They continously checked on me and answered all of my questions without hesitation. The doctor also called me the next day to see how I was feeling. Every person I encountered was friendly and open to questions. Smooth process and I felt much better after my visit! I will definitely go back to this site for any urgent care needs.
Great staff. They worked with me under my circumstances.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful, I came in due to injuring my foot. They got my X-ray in less than an hour!! A great place to be seen!
Dr. Scaff and his team were extremely helpful and caring. Sarah was so pleasant and really took the time to understand the reason for my visit. I left feeling much better and actually felt like they cared!
Staff was super friendly. There were no other patients so I was able to see the doctor quickly. I had stitches done. Didnt feel anything with the numbing cream. Overall good experience. Paid $200 with co-pay after insurance.
Went in for a cut thumb. I remember asking the front desk if they took Premera Blue Cross and they said just provide us the insurance card. I was unaware that they were out of network and racked up a bill of $2700 where my insurance only covered $200 for just an hour there. I highly recommend avoiding this place unless you know for sure they take your insurance as in network as they will definitely send a surprise bill.
Very professional and friendly environment, went in today due to an emergency, Megan at the front desk helped us quickly and got us in no more then 10 mins, Dr. Kathuria and Frank explained us everything in detail and answered all our questions. They provided quality care to me. I highly recommend them to everyone.
I walked into the First Choice ER on Friday, 2/27/15 about 8:30 am and was welcomed immediately. I filled out a few forms and was immediately taken back to a very clean, ER room. I never had to wait one moment for them to attend to me. First a very kind male nurse took some history and vital signs and then the Physician, Dr. Leung came in to talk to me. He was very personable and very easy to talk to. I was taken back for a chest x-ray by a female technologist who was also very kind and within minutes of the chest x-ray, treated with medication and a breathing treatment. Everyone was very professional, but kind, and I never felt rushed or unimportant. I was given four prescriptions at the time of check out.I have to admit the environment was spotless, including the floors, rooms, x-ray room, physicians desks, waiting room. When you are sick and need urgent help, I would highly recommend First Choice ER for their outstanding care, quick response time, friendliness and spotless environment. Very impressed!P.S. Saturday evening, I even had a call from a Physician that I did not see at the time of my visit, asking how I was doing. Now how is that for service?
An incredible Team at Austin Emergency Center. From the time I walked in the door True Customer Care & Service, everyone was compassionate, professional, and they took their time and answered all my questions, I felt they genuinely cared.I wasn’t feeling well, but I knew I was in good hands, with Dr. Kathuria, Nurse Charlie, Radiology Andy, Admissions Rep Skye.Thank you all, ❤️🐶🙏Connie Perry
I took my husband there today and was pleasantly surprised at the short wait time. We were seen within 5 minutes. The office staff, nurses and the doctor were very professional and friendly. They were quick in taking tests and getting results back fast. They even made sure I was comfortable while waiting by offering coffee or water. We were given the diagnosis quickly and were able to leave in about an hour. We have been to hospital emergency rooms where you have to wait over an hour to be seen so this was great.
Came in for stitches on my lip and the staff could not be more helpful! They checked on me constantly while they waited on other people with higher priority issues. Benny was such a great nurse and made me feel comfortable as well as Dr. Kathuria. Could not have asked for better bedside manner!
This is no Urgent care. It took almost 1 hour to get checked in like all 5 of the nurses are busy. My wife is next to me suffering and throwing up non stop. They nurses just on the phone giggling. You tell me when should be laughing at the Urgentcare. Very poor service do not recommend at all. You might as well go the the hospital 30 minutes away to get faster and better service. I have been here 3 times total and 2 of the time by myself and didnt get seen over a hour and there was 0 customers/ other patients I could see in the other rooms. PLEASE AVOID IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LOVE ONE OR FAMILY/FRIEND.
My daughter recommended that I go to the First Choice Emergency Room because she had been before and told me how good they were to her. I truly have to say that my experience was a good one. They took care of me and made sure that every thing that I needed done was taken care of before I left the emergency room. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. The staff are really nice and they seem to care about you. I will definitely recommend this place to family, friends, and others.Thank you.
Prompt attention. Great team members- Dr. Reynolds, nurse Toni, Jan , Megan and the other technicians. Thanks for your caring hearts and dedication, and all you do. God bless!
My overall experience was great! My husband checked me in right away and got seen in about 5 minutes maybe sooner. The nurses were very compassionate and caring and they were very thorough. Dr. Daniels was very thorough as well took the time to ask me questions regarding my symptoms. This ER did all my blood work, CT scan and got my results within an hour. I would definitely recommend this ER to anybody that lives close to this area, they have everything a hospital ER has.
Took both my daughter and son in this past weekend and as usual our experience was top notch! Staff was friendly and attentive from the time we walked through the door to the time we left. Staff took the time to assist with insurance issues which made me feel so at ease. My children were seen within minutes of walking into emergency room, both Nurse and Doctor made us all feel at ease. Diagnosis and follow up care was broken down in laymen terms and we all left feeling upbeat and relieved. Our experience ROCKED...nothing compared to the dreadful trips weve had in the past at emergency rooms of big local hospitals in Austin! I wish I could bring my children to First Choice for all our medical needs!!
Hannah was amazing actually all of the staff is!! I love how you all show such compassion and dedication. You also always provide documentation with our labs and med records to go. Such a great place.Sincerely your favorite patientBernice
I had amazing service here, I had to take my wife to the ER due a back injury, the staff there was amazing; thank you all that was on shift today so here is a shout out to Dr. McReynolds, nurses Peter & Elmo, and the admissions reps Britt & Megan. Thank you all for getting my wife in and out of your care and giving all the help you were able to.
Honest and humorous receptionist Megan and doctor. didn’t actually get treatment but nice people
The staff was very polite and considerate. I was taken care of immediately by The nurse Morgan and and given detailed information concerning the reasoning for my visit by Doctor Kathuria. The Radiology Tech Crystal was efficient and thourough. By far the kindest staff I’ve experienced in any ER or Doctors Office.
I have been here 4x and every single time the entire staff has treated me with care and kindness! Twice with the full blown flu 105plus fever and they took care of mine immediately! 3rd time with a cracked shoulder and now my son ( after his pediatrician did not want to see him) they took care of them and 2days later he is 100%. Great bedside manner so and very knowledgeable in what they do.
Everyone was super polite and helpful during our time at the Austin Emergency Center. Good staff here - will definitely recommend and be back.
I chose this particular facility because their website indicated I would be seen quickly and I was. The staff was friendly. Doctor Scaff was attentive, thorough and professional. Apparently my insurance does not cover a “stand alone ER”. I was traveling and out of my network too. This facility gave me alternatives and explained my medical options. I was/am thankful for their care for me and am happy to say I am better because of it.
Came in with an emergency and thought I was about to have a massive event. The team from intake to nurses to Dr Connor himself where all compassionate, quick acting, and took phenomenal care of me. God forbid I ever need them again, if theres a choice Ill choose this team everytime.Brittney- admissionsMorgan and Frank- RNsVeronica-RTDr Connor-MDThis entire team was excellent. thank you all so much!
Dr. Demehri was so knowledgeable and caring! I was so thankful to be seen by her and knew I was in great hands with her care. She took the time to explain everything to me. The nurse Sandy was very sweet and even had a warm blanket for me. Lezos the xray tech was very professional as well.I highly recommend them and if I need anything I will definitely go back to them!
No wait time! I had my 4 yr old with me so not having to wait to be seen was a plus! Wonderful staff! They were all very kind and caring during my visit and quick to answer any and all questions I had. Being that I have recently moved here they were also nice enough to refer me to a few family practice doctors for my entire family! I would highly recommend you to them.
Quick and timely service, excellent doctor and pricing was more than fair- if you need to go somewhere - it’s a good option
I chose to come to FCER because I knew that my wait time would be significantly shorter than that of an ER. At first I was put off by the pay first policy, but I had the money and I was in enough pain that it didnt matter. The staff was VERY friendly and understanding. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. They were very adamant in taking the time to make sure I was comfortable. Seeing as I was in unbearable pain and it hurt to sit or stand, they were more than willing to run tests on me laying in a weird position or standing. It didnt take hours for me to see a doctor either. I was in and out in a total of 45 minutes, if that. When I was seen by the doctor she was asking me and was interested in what my pain was and where it was, she even let me show her on her person where I was feeling it. Not only was the entire staff friendly with me, but while I was doubled over in pain they were joking around and interacting with my fiance about what was wrong with me and how he nailed it before we came in.I have already recommended this facility to others and, if I need to, will be back here. They DO NOT make you feel as if you are interrupting their breaks or like they are trying to rush you out. Very comforting when you are in pain or are in need of s service. Defiantly have your insurance card or payment method ready, but you will be taken care of in the most wonderful way!!
Amazing experience after landing here with my teenage son who needed 5 stitches. Everyone including Dr. Welch and ER Nurse Hannah were excellent and very customer service oriented. Highly recommend them!!
I was feeling my worst and they took good care of me. Great customer service since the moment you walk through the door. Staff was kind and they made sure that I was comfortable. The nurse and doctor checked for everything possible so they could have the most accurate diagnose for me to get well, and I did. Thank you First Choice for taking care of me! From now on YOU are my FIRST CHOICE!
Thank you guys so much for your help tonight! I came in last night last night with an issue and the staff here was very helpful! Mrs. Sarah the front desk was very kind and welcoming when I walked in to check me in and answer any questions I had, doctor kathuria and sagacious man belongs and the same sentence. Why? Because he can have a situation that may be out of his field but he finds a solution for the patient and it’s a wise choice he makes. And last but not least my nurse mr. Frank, he was very nice and concerning from the moment I walk in the room if you have him as a nurse he will make you feel comfortable until the doctor comes and when he finished up before releasing he makes sure all your questions are answered. I enjoyed the team I had tonight thank you guys so much 🦋🙏🏾😇
This place was refreshing! Im 9 months pregnant, due tomorrow and broke my finger lol not a great day but these fine ladies helped me with making the best decision for both my baby and myself. They were all very informative, attentive and the whole process went quickly and smoothly. I cant thank Skye for the fast checkin, nurse Molly for the assistance with friendly conversation and Dr.Os very informative and sensitive answers to all my questions and concerns. Overall, this calmed my already overwhelmed self. Thanks a million ladies!💜🤗
The entire staff team was so kind & wonderful & helpful! My nurse, doctor and the admin were really great & the first time i truly felt seen & comfortable in a medical field setting. Grateful for this experience!
Doctor Hudgins was very kind and listened to me without making me feel uncomfortable. Nurse Charlie has great bedside manner and Tiffany was also super helpful. Perfect from start to finish with this group of people.
Thanks so much to the amazing team here! I was seen in a timely manner and felt like all of my concerns were addressed. I’d be happy to be a patient here again because of the amazing treatment I received from Dr. Rollo, Charlie, Veronica, and Skylar. :)
Went to this location for what I thought was a very sensitive pimple. It wasnt very big, just VERY sensitive and in a bad location. Nothing major. There was another patient there. The young lady who was at the check in window was very nice and polite. I was taken to an exam room very quickly after filling out the paperwork. (Oh, the furniture in the waiting room was comfortable.....important to me as I have MAJOR back issues.) The nurse asked the usual questions and took my vitals (I was surprised they did not take or ask about my weight, though). A few minutes later, the doctor knocks at my door and explains it will be a few minutes as they have an unstable patient. I told him to go take care of that patient, I was very stable and understood. When he came back to treat me, he and the nurse apologized several times for the wait.....but I have extensive medical/ER history so I understand that an unstable patient is top priority. While giving me a local anesthetic, he apologized a few times for the discomfort caused by the burning sensation. Then he apologized for the discomfort of having to pack the area, which was slightly absessed.Overall, a great experience. Better than many hospital ER visits I have had. I plan to use them again if needed......and an added bonus is they are close to where I live!
I recently had to visit First Choice Emergency Room due to an injury to my finger. Upon arriving the receptionist was very welcoming and answered all my questions to put me at ease. I was placed in a room to see the doctor before I had even finished filling out my information sheets, which is a HUGE bonus. So, literally there was NO wait. I spoke with 2 nurses and the doctor, all were very warm, easy to speak with, friendly and efficient. I left there feeling much better and amazed at how the entire staff working that day were so pleasant.
Soooo. Never had to go to an ER, never had to take anyone to an ER, I know I am very lucky in that regard. When it did happen, I was lucky to have found AEC. Great care. Great personnel. Insurance coverage. Painless. Made me feel great about what was going on and they explained everything very clearly. They took great care of us when we had to go and that was what counted. Thank you, Austin Emergency Center, for looking out for us.
Great service! Nurses were awesome.
Very unprofessional very nasty was seen under 20 min no meds doctor treated me like trash within hrs got worse went to arc was prescribed 2 meds horrible experience please never go here
Best emergency visit ever - if there is such a thing. I never post reviews, but had to in this instance. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped my 7 year old stay calm and even enjoy the experience. When we left, no joke, he said dad, that was fun. I worried (for some reason) about the staff being as technically proficient as doctors and nurses at a large hospital. With 4 kids, we visit the ER on a regular basis and this was by far the best experience weve ever had. I hope to never see those people again... :) but if I need them, thats where well go.
Everyone was very attentive and courteous. The doctors were awesome. The quality of service was amazing and I would definitely come back if I need medical assistance. Thank you for all that you done with me I really appreciate it.
I was very impressed with this facility. It was clean and well maintained. My 5 year was injured and required six stitches just below his eyebrow. The Doctor and nurses were friendly and professional. They were very supportive and reassuring that night, which was much appreciated since I was more nervous than my son was.
After coming to the area visiting family, I became ill. I was panicked because it was New Years Day, in a different area of the country I am not familiar with, and it being a new insurance year. I visited this facility based on my daughters recommendation. I was skeptical due to the timing. She drove me over there and I was sooooo surprised. Nothing like I expected for an emergency care facility. It was warm and inviting, not sterile and unfriendly. The staff were so compassionate. Dr. Pepper was informative while spending much time with me. X-rays were right there on the premises and I was treated with dignity. We were in and out of there in 45 minutes. Never has happened at another Emergency Room facility I attended.I would truly bring any one of my family members there if needed medical attention.
My roommate had an accident and was in need of stitches, the The staff was really great and quick to respond and we were in and out within a half hour. I will definitely come here when Im dying.
Brought my son in for bad sore throat pain. We were seen right away, and staff had wonderful bedside manners. Dr Scaff was a very kind and friendly and helped ease my little boys fear and pain.
Avoid this place if you can. I went in October feeling dizzy, with a pain in my leg and tension in my chest. They took some X-rays, ran some diagnostics, held me for monitoring for 6 hours, sent me home with a clean bill of health, and then four months later sent me a bill for $17,000.I feel mildly bad for leaving a 1-star review considering that everyone was genuinely kind (well, perhaps not). But wow! $17k w/ a $10k fee for monitoring. Thats $1,500 an hour to occupy a bed in an empty ER, without ever mentioning a thing about how my visit would be billed or what my insurance would and wouldnt cover (spoiler: my insurance covered $250). And their recommendation was that I stay overnight and do some more diagnostics the next day, which would easily have doubled the bill. This facility really milked the situation for all they could, and then tried for more. Beware this place and choose your doctors well.
I came here due to my heart beating fast, chest pains, and shortness of breath. They immediately took me back and started treatment. Every one was kind (they even held my hand because I was scared) and the place is extremely clean and quiet. I get anxious being in hospitals, but felt very comfortable here. Hopefully I wont have to return, but if I do need emergency care again this will be my first choice. Thank you all so much.
Everyone was so nice, and communicative. I was never left in the room for too long without someone checking in to let me know what was going on. Tests were quick and efficient. I left at the end of the night with answers and reassurance. It was wonderful.
It was a great experience from the get! Megan made the experience awesome and nice and comforting. They ran tests to make sure everything is good. Alex, Frank, Jan and dr Kathuria were great !
My visit went very well! There was no wait, the staff was great and the DR absolutely incredible. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about my well being and helping me get better. If I ever have any other issues, this will be where I’ll go!
I took my 9 year old son in after he started throwing up and spiked a fever. There was NO wait time. The lady at the front desk was very nice to us as soon as we walked in the door. Before I could even sit down we were called back. The nurses, radiology tech and doctor were all very attentive to my son. Even giving him extra blankets when needed and checking on us constantly. Something I am not used to seeing at an ER. The night after we had been in, the same ER doctor called to check up on my son, the night after that as well. It was an absolutely great experience. They actually care about the people who come in, unlike most doctors now days. I would recommend them to anyone any day. If we ever need emergency care again, this is where we will go. It might be a small ER but it is the best I have been to anywhere in this country hands down.
Came in on Wednesday morning bc I woke up Tuesday with fever and sore throat. I was seen within 10-15 mins of checking in. Alexis at the front was very helpful and patient, explained everything I needed to know as a first time patient. Veronica, Kari, RN, and Dr. Kathuria were all super nice, thorough, gentle, and had amazing bedside manner. I was in tears on my way there bc I was in so much pain, but they made their diagnosis, gave me first round of meds, and made sure my temp was going down before leaving. I still wasn’t feeling great when I left but definitely better than when I got there. Best ER experience I’ve had.
Went to two different places before coming here. I was bleeding from my head and hand after an accident when I was told the wait will be 1-2hrs at the other places. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and taken inside where my wounds were cared for immediately. The staff were helpful, professional, and super kind. They really took care of me and got me out as quickly as possible. I would hope to never have to visit an ER again but if I needed to this would be the place I would go to for sure.
Needing emergency care is never easy or fun. From the time I stepped in the door I felt better. Kim at the front was friendly and her smile eased the pressure right away. I was in to see the doctor really quick and the entire staff made the visit completely different than the cold folks at the area hospitals that I’ve experienced in the past. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone!!!! I give you guys 5 stars.
This clinic is absolutely amazing! I was very impressed with everything from the receptionist, short wait, friendly staff to the overall cleanliness of the facility. My reason for being here was due to a feral cat bite. The nursing staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They even did X-rays of my hand to make sure there were no shards of teeth left behind, and sent me home with the X-rays on DVD! The Doctor was very nice and considerate, he even called me later that day to check and see if they had caught the cat to quarantine and observe for signs of rabies. Luckily they did. I also received a follow up call the next day to see how my hand was feeling. Thanks First Choice staff!
Best Emergency experience! Our daughter was having trouble breathing and wheezing. From the moment we walked in every person we interacted with was genuinely kind.Didn’t feel rushed. They took their time making sure she was way better before being released. Truly appreciated this very much!
The staff at this ER were very caring and took the time to listen to me and also explain the potential problems. They were professional and friendly. I could tell the doctor was sincere in his concern for my well-being - and he scheduled a follow up with me the next morning to ensure I was doing ok. I also couldnt believe how fast it was - no line! Maybe I was just lucky that day, but this made for a much better experience for what would otherwise be agonizing to wait in a long line while in a lot of pain.
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Super-fast attention by caring and friendly staff. Very compassionate, and explained the symptoms and treatments thoroughly. The doctor followed up the next day to check on my son, and the day after that, he got a card. Could only give 5 stars because 50 was not available!
Each visit is different. Everytime one of them I feel much better just knowing Im in good hands. The Staff is quick, always ready and prepared. Its a pleasure to be a patient of (AEC) Austin Emergency Center.Continue Keeping Us healthy.
Staff was super friendly, and we got seen within 15 minutes of walking in. They also do not charge for a screening alone if it is deemed non-emergent
The staff here was so nice and made me feel like everything was going to be okay, even though I looked as if I was dying. Went in kind of late, and I was in a room with a nurse within 5 minutes. The doctor there was also very friendly and assured me not to worry about my situation, loved that! Highly recommend this place.
Everyone single person I came in contact with was amazing! They listened to me and my concerns, they offered me helpful advise and options, and they took care of me quickly and efficiently. All the while everyone was so nice and comforting. I hope I don’t get sick again but I honestly wouldn’t mind if it meant I could go back!
Went in Sunday 1/1 took about 40 minutes to go back after a nurse asked if I wanted to stay since all of the rooms were already full they let me know I could get the tests run and wait for results in waiting room. Once in the triage room a doctor listened to my daughters lungs i had to ask them to check my daughters ears and throat I told her I was scared of strep that may have not gone away with antibiotics 2 weeks before and ear infections. I was told her tonsils looked large but healthy and clear of ear infections. We tested for flu rsv and Covid all negative. We were told we must have had a virus but no reason to test since it would only be treated with rest fluids and childrens Tylenol. I didn’t feel that any part of this visit was professional or accurate. I went to pediatrician on morning of 1/3 once they opened back up after holiday and was told she had a seriously infected right ear infection the left was infected as well but not as bad as the right. They tested for strep it was positive. I’d avoid this place. Aside from one lovely nurse that tested my daughter on 1/1 the whole experience was something I’d advocate families to avoid. Just go to a hospital er or maybe even urgent care
I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. All staff were welcoming and kept me informed of the updates regarding my condition as they occurred. Even with a small hang up of waiting on the radiologist in Houston to read the reports due to the network being down, it was a much quicker trip than to a traditional Emergency Room. I would not only recommend this facility to others, but will continue to bring myself and my family as needed.
Absolutely loved the dr and the rest of the staff here. Wonderful experience and I was in and out as quickly as they could…even with having x-rays done, I think I was in/out in less than 45minutes. I will definitely come back to this exact clinic for any future needs!
Best emergency room Ive ever been in. It was clean, cheerful and empty. My seven year old had a ball chatting up the staff and pointing out all the colorful characters on the walls. The staff was polite, attentive and unlike so many doc in a boxes, they seemed to actually know what they were doing. Always a plus in my book. Its not in my neighborhood, so its unlikely that Ill just stop by again, but if youre up in that neck of the woods, its an excellent choice.
They always take great care of me. As soon as I finish my registration paperwork Im in a room being tended to. Everyone is very attentive and helpful - the front desk staff, radiology tech, nurses and doctors. As far as emergency rooms go, this one is top notch. I love that Im able to get answers and leave feeling much better. Ill never go anywhere else if I can help it.
I visited First Choice because I just relocated here and have not yet found a Primary Care Physician. I found the staff not only friendly and polite, but also extraordinarily professional and efficient. I was tended to in a quick manner, the staff consistently kept me informed regarding next steps and made sure I was doing OK.For obvious reasons, I hope I do not need to return (no one ever WANTS to go to the ER), but if I do have a need, I will most definitely return to First Choice.
