Dr. Culligan is amazing! Not only is he an excellent surgeon, very experienced and confident, but he is kind and caring. He has infinite patience and makes sure you have all your questions answered. If you are in need of a urogynecologist, do not hesitate to make your appointment.

I can’t say enough about everyone at Valley hospital. Everyone is so kind, makes you feel comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Culligan was fantastic from my first visit through my 2 week post OP visit. He is very professional and also gentle, patient and caring. He explained all the different options to me and when I decided to go ahead with surgery he made everything super clear. I had every confidence that I was in good hands. I was also impressed that he cared enough post surgery to give me his cell phone # in case I had any questions.I would recommend him to anyone!

From the moment I met him until my surgery which was about 1 month away fromwhen we met , he was extreme professional , gentle and kind ! Dr. Culligan explained all options available .I knew I had chosen the right Dr. when on my surgery day which was March 6, 2024 he arrived on time and asked me “how r u doing” my response was ..I ‘m very nervous , he lifted his glasses and said I’m not….i knew then he wasn’t worried and can do these types of surgeries in his sleep. Dr. Culligan gave me a new lease on life! After 33 years (since my first child was born) I heard I could have a solution to my “leaking”. Simply not being able to hold my bladder tight enough to keep my urine in, this “put a cork” in it!!! So thrilled! Don’t have to worry about wearing a long gown for an event and laughing so hard I wet my gown.! He explained everything to me very well. I ask a lot of questions and he promptly answered. Dr Culligan is the best! I was totally prepared for my hysterectomy and prolapse correction. I am three weeks out and back to my everyday life. Tylenol, Advil and a cold pack was all I needed for pain after the one night in the hospital. Toughest thing is keeping your bowels regular which Dr Culligan prepared me for. I should have done this correction a year ago!!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Culligan and his support staff. From scheduling, to the initial office visit, to necessary surgical pre-op visits, to the actual surgery, to the follow-up appointment it was totally a patient first, make it happen experience. The robotic hysterectomy and sacrocolpapexy were problem free with few post surgical side effects; all of which had been thoroughly addressed by Dr. C.. I attribute the success of my surgical experience to Dr. Culligans skill and expertise. Dr. Culligan was low key, tolerant of questions, reassuring, and informative during the entire surgical process. He provided his personal cell phone number and he, himself, called with pathology results. Without hesitation I recommend Dr. Culligan to anyone needing urogynecology and pelvic reconstruction surgery. His medical credentials and experience speak for themselves. The travel outside my local area was worth every mile; despite road construction and other traffic delays! Dr. Culligan is the best!

Making the decision to go see Dr. Culligan was one of the best decisions I have made. The quality of my life prior to seeing Dr. Culligan was filled with anxiety, frustration, and loneliness. I made the choice after 4 years of having two prolapses that I needed to finally consult a doctor about this. After doing extensive research of the best urogynecologists in NYC Dr. Culligans background, reputation, and patient reviews (allextremely positive) had my attention. However, after viewing his videos explaining prolapses and how he treats them sold me. He seemed so genuine and knowledgeable that I was anxious to see if he could help me.Upon meeting him, I was not disappointed! He was very patient and listened to my story. I told him how uncomfortable I was, how going to the bathroom became a huge chore and caused a lot of frustration. Since I have a unique set of circumstances (birth defect that affects my bowels and bladder) I truly didnt know if anyone could help me. But I was elated when Dr. Culligan said he would reach out to some colleagues and do some research and think of the best option for me. He said I was a challenge and he loves challenges. Hearing that was the greatest compliment to me. Other doctors had said I was difficult or complicated. I knew Dr. Culligan would try anything to help me and I was right.He performed surgery 6 weeks ago and it was the best decision I made!! The bathroom is no longer my nemesis. I can sit comfortablely and go to the bathroom with ease. I know that time will tell if this surgery was a success, but I can tell you as of now, I feel so much better!! I also know that if I encounter any problems that I will be fully supported by Dr. Culligan and his staff. In September of this year 2020, Dr. Culligan operated on me for a prolapsed bladder. I had a partial hysterectomy and my bladder was lifted with mesh to my cervix. From my very first visit with Dr. Culligan I found him to be informative, caring and reassuring. Every detail was explained and my questions were always answered. The surgery was performed laparoscopically at Weill Cornell in NYC with minimal pain and I went home the next day. From day one, he gave me his cell number to call him with any concerns. Upon calling him when needed, he pleasantly answered or returned my call ASAP answering all my questions. I developed urinary incontinence after surgery and did physical therapy for 7 weeks but did not feel it was helping. After another visit to his new office in New Jersey, he explained that I would be a good candidate for a bladder sling. I decided to have this additional procedure which was done in Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. The hospital was fantastic with staff that couldn’t have been nicer and caring. I was released the same day. This procedure has helped me tremendously! I am so happy that I found such a caring, knowledable, patient and wonderful doctor! I highly recommend him!

I went to Dr. Culligan for a surgical procedure. Dr. Culligan was extremely professional, patient and caring through out the entire process. His nurse on staff, R.A. Irina Kats was so pleasant and reassuring. She made me feel like they really cared about my well being. They patiently listened to my concerns (which were plentiful), answered all my questions (numerous) and was extremely professional through the entire process. I would recommend Dr. Culligan and Ms. Kats to all my family and friends.

Dr. Culligan patiently explained my condition and my treatment options, allowing me to feel more empowered to take control of my health. He dedicated the time to educate me about my treatment and recovery, answering all of my questions and alleviating my fears. I am now four weeks post procedure with Dr. Culligan. My experience with Dr. Culligan and his PA, Irina Kats was the best I could have wished for. The entire experience including the end result exceeded my expectations in a big way.
