A conduit for health!Michael is an absolute conduit for health and healing. Not only is he expertly skilled at acupuncture, but his knowledge of and compounding of Chinese herbal medicine is amazing. He is highly personable in his bedside manner, so he listens intently and treats you accordingly. He really cares about helping you. His staff is marvelous, friendly and meticulous. The office is very clean. We love everything about Palm Springs Acupuncture!

I could KISS this man! I work in Healthcare and tried all of the traditional treatments for excruciating and debilitating pinched nerves in my neck and back: physical therapy, TENS units, narcotics, muscle relaxants, you name it. After my first session with Michael, I gained full mobility back to my neck and was able to completely get off prescribed meds. I previously could not even turn my head to the right. By my third treatment the numbness shooting from my neck, back, and shoulder through the length of my my whole arm was completely gone, and pain is at a minimal. I was finally able to sleep again after over 6 weeks of near constant pain and 2 to 4 hours of sleep a night. Moral of the story: dont be like me and wait ages living in pain hoping it will just get better! Go see Michael and kick start your road to healing!

I’ve had the Balance Method of acupuncture treatment before but Michael Boyer truly is a master practitioner; professional, knowledgeable, caring and warm.Five days into a 22 day vacation, I pulled my sub scapular muscle. This would have sidelined me for what was shaping up to be a great pickleball holiday. After a few days rest, muscle relaxers, icing and Tylenol, it wasn’t getting any better. Being an out-of-towner, I researched online and found Michael and the treatment was nothing short of miraculous; within 36 hours nearly all the pain was gone. I had two more treatments, working on other ailments as well, and again, those aches and pains magically subsided in 24 -36 hours. After discovering acupuncture almost a year ago, I didnt think there was much more I could benefit from it until I booked an appointment with Michael. After I explained my health history with H. Pylori and hopped on the table, Michael said, I think you might have a hiatal hernia.Michael physically manipulated my hernia, (which hurt but the pain was manageable). That night I could feel some bruising but the next day, my stomach felt normal. A feeling I hadnt had since 2020.Since then my lingering gut problems have all but disappeared. Im so thankful I went to Palm Springs and had Michael treat me. My digestion has improved 100% and any pain or discomfort since my H. I’m a first time acupuncture patient. My shoulder had been bothering me for years and was getting worse. I didn’t really want an MRI followed by steroid injection or surgery so decided to give it a try. I feel so lucky to have found Michael! Over a couple months of treatment, I have no more pain and my strength is returning. He’s incredibly easy to interact with and has a great bedside manner. Office is clean and well run. His practice manager Carol is a real gem…warm and efficient. My success convinced my wife to try Michael for sciatica pain and after a handful of sessions, was pain free! I really can’t say enough good things about this practice and Michael’s skill.

Dr. Michael Boyer took care of my piriformis issue, just in time for a 15+ hour flight. He is the consummate professional and is quite knowledgeable and well-versed in acupuncture and dry needling. I have been a patient of Michael Boyer for 10 years. When I first met him he treated me for tendinitis on my wrist and I’ve never had a problem since. A couple of months ago I finally decided to get off birth control and he began treating me for gut issues (chronic bloating), extremely painful and long periods with acupuncture and herbs. I got my first period a couple weeks ago on time and with ZERO pain. Michael has also treated me for sciatica/SI joint issues and has helped me tremendously. I truly cannot thank him enough for helping me to be pain free.

18 months after a severe work injury that left me with nerve damage in my foot and lower back pain, I thought I would never return to work.As a last resort, I decided to give acupuncture a try and I am so glad I did.2 months of treatment and my lower back no longer hurts and the nerve pain in my foot is under control.I am happy to say that I will be returning to work in the next few weeks (something my doctors told me I would never do).Michael Boyer and his staff are friendly, professional, and VERY good at what they do!I thought acupuncture was a bunch of nonsense. 15 years ago I found acupuncture and have received treatments from great practitioners all across the country. Michael is a highly skilled acupuncturist who has confidently, and successfully, treated any issue that I have brought into his office over the last year and a half.I drive 90 minutes (roundtrip) to see him, though there are practitioners in my area of Joshua Tree. I have always felt in good hands with him, he is sure of his work and also has a calming presence. An expert in Chinese herbs as well, some of my treatments have been enhanced by his herbal formulas, crafted in house while the patient receives acupuncture.The office is beautiful, the supporting staff are delightful and there are short to no wait times before appointments. It is clear that Michael is dedicated to his field and to his patients, I highly recommended him.

I was in such a state mentally with pain managment issues that I was on the verge of giving up on pursuing treatments. As a CLL Leukemia Patient, my biggest challenge has been finding pain management that was willing to think outside the box.I suffer from chronic bone pain, headaches that can evolve into migraines, neck and spine pain. Basically, I am a physical mess. But my desire to keep pressing forward is fueled by the treatments I receive from Michael.For me he seems to have an innate ability to treat my exact symptom(s) visit to visit. He is extremely accommodating as well. He has made special arrangements for my treatments due to my personal schedule.I can state with great confidence that Michael Boyer is highly skilled at his craft. He provides non-invasive treatments that deliver true results & relief of the ailments that I suffer from. He is up to date on all techniques, approaches and applications of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.I visited as a last result and would strongly suggest to make his treatments a top priority. I had nothing to lose ...but wished I would have chosen him much earlier in the process!

Ive had four treatments with Michael for chronic feet and knee arthritis. It definitely has helped my inflammation and pain. Office environment is calming and a great location in Palm Springs for treatments. I will be returning for more treatments.

Ive known Mike Boyer for over 20 years now, first as a student in acupuncture school, and later as a fellow practitioner. Over the years Ive had many mentors, and am fortunate to have a successful practice in Northern California, and when fellow up-and-coming practitioners ask me where I get my inspiration to practice, Mikes name is the one I give out. I also have many patients who have homes in the Palm Springs area, and I send them to Mike when they are down there. Further, I occasionally intern with him myself, even after 20 years in practice, to find out what hes been up to and how I can improve my own practice. He is the practitioner that practitioners go to, and I feel honored to get to learn from him.Beyond his obvious skills as a practitioner, he is also just a great guy. As a practitioner myself, I know that a large part of the healing process has to do with the rapport between doctor and patient, and it is in this area that Mike especially excels. Regardless of your background or medical condition, Im confident that he can help pretty much anybody, whether he does it himself or, failing that, finds the right person to refer you to. The only thing I dont like about Mike is how far away he is! While Im willing to drive a day at a half in order to learn from him, I only wish that he was closer to the Bay Area.

I am new at leaving reviews, but I had to reach-out and say the truth about Michael Boyer Acupuncture. I went in for severe left shoulder and neck pain I had tired many forms of doctoring for it and it did not get better, it was beyond what I could take any longer I thought I will try Acupuncture made an appointment and went in. When my first treatment was over I realized that I was and am absolutely pain free, but not only that when I went home I was able to fall and stay asleep something I had not been able to do in over (8) eight weeks... I have continued to go for three more treatments the change in my entire body and mind is beyond words to express them. I truly recommend Michael Boyer to any and everyone. Thank you.

I went to see Dr Boyer last year after suffering from gastric issues, I originally went to see my Primary Care Physician who gave me acid reflux pills, of course it didn’t work. I was feeling pretty bad physically and emotionally, anxiety set in and I wasn’t sure what to do. After doing some research online I decided to give Acupuncture a try. As it turned out I was misdiagnosed. The primary problem wasn’t acid reflux it was a hiatal hernia. It took less than a minute for Dr Boyer to diagnose me. His approach combining Acupuncture/Chinese herbs has been a great success for me. I can’t recommend Dr Boyer enough, he listens, he’s patient, and thinks outside the box. He has made amazing life enhancing suggestions for me.

First time for accupuncture. Appeared for my appointment today and the office is locked. Avoid this place!Additional comment: After the owner responseI actually did give them a chance to help relieve my pain. I made an appointment for care. When the owner called he told me that the office was closed as they were out for a long lunch. If a business decides to close for a long lunch on St Patricks Day, decide for yourself how serious they are about patient care.

When I came to the office in February 2021, I had searing pain up and down my right arm. At first I came to the office twice a week for a month, and then I was able to reduce it down to once a week. I am so thankful that I now have full mobility again. In addition, I was provided some herbs to correct some digestive problems I was experiencing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and I would encourage everyone reading this review to come here for your health.

Id been suffering from sciatica pain for weeks, and Michael alleviated that with just a handful of sessions. Clean, quiet, friendly, efficient, personable, it was a great experience.

Went for treatment of rotator cuff in hopes that I could avoid a planned surgery. While I did have improvement, I still may need surgery.
