Imagine spending a large sum of time and money for test after test due to a higher risk pregnancy due to endometriosis and epilepsy, only for blue sky to stop the plan for IUI end the end. They had the medical records and notes from my wifes neurologist from nearly the beginning, but only after a slew of tests they decide to stop the plan based on neurological information they had the entire time? Only saving grace of experience for us was the nurse Case manager who helped with a massive communication issue between blue sky and Natera labs.If you chose blue sky I hope your experience is good, and not a horrific, tike consuming, expensive cluster that could have easily been avoided.

Have had an excellent experience thus far. The staff are always very responsive and quick to answer any questions we may have. They have been transparent with pricing up front which is amazing if you know how expensive fertility treatment is. Dr. Riggs was personable, knowledgeable and caring when we had our overview visit with him after having had all our testing done. Highly recommend this clinic.

I was hopeful when I first had my consultation but I have been disappointed since then. It is hard to get in touch with my doctor. I can only get in touch with one of the nurses who generally brush me off or tell me to wait until I have my next consult (a month later) to ask a question. When I try to schedule an appointment so I can speak with my doctor, they are scheduling out 6+ weeks- and I am a current patient. I have been given conflicting information and have had to remind nurses of my medical history. I was expecting my doctor to do my IUI but it was a nurse and that was not even communicated to me beforehand. Right now, I would not recommend BSF but I will update how these next two month go.

Im finally pregnant because of Blue Sky Fertility and their amazing team! Im so thankful for all the nurses and Dr. Riggs. Halie was such a bright light and greeted me with a smile each time I came in for an appointment. What a difference that makes when going through fertility treatments. I highly recommend Blue Sky Fertility. :)

The staff there are all very friendly but I’ve had nothing but issues since becoming a patient. Very long waiting times, misinformation, lack of follow up. My experience there has made me want to do any future work elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend. Just as a follow up over a year later, they have not fixed their communication issues nor follow up issues. This place has made a very emotionally hard process an absolute nightmare. I wish them as much success as they gave me. I would never consider them to aid in starting a family.

I cannot recommend Blue Sky enough. Everyone we encountered, from the front desk staff, to the ultrasound techs, nurses, Dr. Riggs, and everyone in between was so competent, empathetic, and personable. I didn’t ever feel like a number there, instead, it felt like they knew me personally and knew my history. The thoroughness of Dr. Riggs made me confident that I was getting the best care, and it obviously worked. We are now pregnant after our first embryo transfer! Love this place and everyone who makes it so special.

I cannot say enough good things about Blue Sky. During your darkest days, the staff and medical team at this clinic will be such a shining light. From the front desk to to the nurses to Dr. Riggs, this team has been so warm, welcoming and easy to work with. If there are questions on anything, their team is responsive and helpful. They are busy due to extreme demand, but we still feel heard -- they are worth the wait.Weve unfortunately had a rough run with recurrent losses, but Dr. Riggs has been extremely on-board with trying new things and giving us his very best guidance through very difficult situations. Their team truly want to see success and babies in their patients arms. We are three years in on our journey, but cant wait to have this team as part of our ending!

I can’t say enough about the phenomenal experience we had with Dr Riggs and staff that brought us our long awaited rainbow baby after nearly 8 years of infertility. They offered candid advice with compassion for what we went through before we found them and took time to give us explanations we understood that allowed us to make informed decisions with our treatments. Our nurse, Jen, made sure to do all she could to make testing as smooth as possible when she heard about my previously terrible and traumatic procedures. Dr Riggs was willing to step outside the conventional box for our situation and it ultimately led to a successful and healthy conception. We’re incredibly grateful for all they did to conceive our son and look forward to returning for our future children.

Blue Sky is the best of the best. I am not an “easy case,” and they never gave up on me. Dr. Riggs is knowledgable, innovative, and encouraging while also being honest and realistic. Every time I went in and interacted with the staff, I felt like I must be their favorite by all the personalized care and compassion I received, but all of their other patients I’ve connected with says the same thing, so it’s truly just how they are. Switching to them from my previous clinic was a pivotal moment in our infertility journey, and I’m grateful every day for Blue Sky.

After a poor experience at a prior clinic, I can tell you Blue Sky is amazing. From the nurses, to Ashleigh in finance, to the front desk, to the embryologist’s, to Dr. Riggs, their team truly cares. Through the bad news and good news, I always felt like they were fighting right beside me and wanted this for my family just as bad as we did. My care was customized to my personality and medical history. Their communication was thorough and I always felt like I could pick up the phone and call them with ANYTHING. I could not be more grateful for Blue Sky and the care I received that lead me to a positive outcome!

The best decision Ive made for my family is switching to Blue Sky Fertility in our journey to have a child. I had previously been with a different RE in the Kansas City area who treated me as a number rather than a person. I learned more in my first consultation with Dr. Riggs then I did the entire five years with my previous doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable with every patient. Every single person on their staff was invested in our journey. It was a great feeling during a process that already felt so lonely. You cant go wrong in choosing Blue Sky Fertility.

I can’t express how grateful we are to Blue Sky. Dr. Riggs has cultivated a truly amazing clinic. Everyone is rooting for you, supporting you, and working their hardest to help achieve your family-building goals. We were a hard, unexplained case with many past failures - transfers and miscarriages. Dr. Riggs’s clinic is warm and accepting, while clearly maintaining the highest level of attentiveness to detail. We can’t be grateful enough for Blue Sky’s instrumental help in bringing home our most precious miracle baby girl.

Words cannot describe how grateful we are for Blue Sky. We were a very complicated case (although they NEVER made us feel that way). The nurses provided support, knowledge, so much expertise and priceless guidance. Dr.Riggs was so knowledgeable and we felt lucky to have him as our doctor. We welcomed our baby girl this past fall and we could not be happier. We failed miserably at a previous fertility clinic… Blue sky was worth the wait!

I transferred my embryos to Blue Sky after another clinic was successful with 1 out of 5 embryos. I only had 2 embryos left (7 total) and wanted to do further testing, but my old clinic wanted to proceed with the old plan. Dr. Riggs and his team did further evaluations, changed my treatment plan, and they were successful on their first try!Blue Sky takes the time to tailor plans to every patient, and that really makes a difference! I will never be able to thank Blue Sky and Dr. Riggs enough for what they have given me. Had my first appointment in 2018 and most recent visits in 2022. Has been awesome to see the office grow during that time. Very much deserved. Even passed on using infertility coverage with a different clinic, just so I could return to Blue Sky. Wouldn’t change a thing!

The most wonderful group of angels on this earth. I could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish with Blue Sky. I switched clinics in the middle because of insurance coverage, immediately regret that decision and went right back to Blue Sky. I am blessed to have a beautiful IVF miracle rainbow baby that is truly because of this amazing team. I cannot say thank you enough. When chosing a clinic there is absolutely no competition, Blue Sky is the superior option.

This is the second time we have worked with Dr. Riggs and this time went just as well as the first time. It would be impossible for my husband and I to give BSF anything but 5 stars because their practice is top notch! The staff is nice, knowledgeable and they consistently went above and beyond in our case, especially the NP Jen and embryologist Derica. One of my favorite things about this office is that they answer the phone and help you then and there. Rarely ever do you wait for anything when you call, no matter if it’s about billing, labs or just a question. I would never hesitate to refer friends or family to Blue Sky.

Plus Size Friendly Doctor & Staff!While I had to keep my BMI under 39, I wasnt asked to go on any crazy diets or told to lose at least 100lbs and then IVF might be an option like I had been told with a previous doctor.Dr. Riggs asked me to stop taking the 15+ supplements I thought I had to take to manage my PCOS and dropped me to a simple prenantal (and vitamin D after bloodwork). He ran every diagnostic test for my husband and I and determined that I needed to lose all of two pounds, and then we started with medicated timed cycles.We were pregnant within the year.The 10-month waiting list for the consultation was worth the care, kindness, and patience we were shown by everyone at Blue Sky. During cycles, when I needed to take a break, it was only looked at with kindness.Hayley and Molly at the front desk are so sweet and became my unofficial cheerleaders 🌟Ashley made me feel so comfortable with having to do ultrasounds, and all the nurses and staff were so knowledgeable, caring, and willing to work with me to find the best solution for my medications.I could never write enough kind words. 🩷Thank you, Blue Sky!

I highly recommend this fertility clinic. If you have to wait on a waiting list, it is worth the wait. The staff is very caring, understanding, and it didnt feel like you were being taken for your money. The staff was thorough with explanations and if the time wasnt right to move forward, they told you that and explained why. We are pregnant now and very excited! We are truly grateful for the experience with this clinic and staff.

If you are a person considering fertility care please don’t make the mistake that I did in using Blue Sky. They have an issue with their IVF process and the eggs extracted don’t turn into embryos. I thought it was just me but come to find out that many women are having this issue. If you are reading this don’t become another patient who has the same experience that I and countless other women have had. Dr. Riggs might seem like a nice competent doctor but the fact is that he is the ONLY doctor on staff, competent fertility clinics have 3+ doctors on staff so that they don’t ever have to put women on birth control. He puts everyone on birth control which is not the best practice and a pure ego move by Dr. Riggs. I don’t know how he has good reviews at all - we had a terrible experience in using this clinic and I do not want anyone else to waste all the time and money I have. I found out how truly incompetent the clinic was once I switched and went to RMA in California. Once I saw a real competent fertility clinic I realized what a hack job I had at blue sky. I was a patient here from March 2021 to June 2022. I did two rounds of IVF and my wife did IVF once and IUI 6 times. After over a year and over 80k wasted we had nothing. We went to RMA in CA did IVF twice with a competent clinic and are now pregnant. Please don’t let my story be your story. Run from blue sky!

The entire team at Blue Sky is amazing. Thanks to Dr Riggs, Jen, Derica, and the whole team I am 5 weeks pregnant today. After 2 clinics (one in OP and one in STL both in network for Progyny), 3 failed transfer cycles, lots of money wasted on out of pocket deductibles, and no real answers, my husband and I are so happy we tried one more time and found Blue Sky. My advice is Dr Riggs and team may have a wait but that’s because they’re hands down the best! I wish I would have started with Blue Sky and I would recommend them 100% to anyone. We are so lucky to have one of the top 10 fertility centers in the US right here in OP/Kansas City.

Use caution when selecting Blue Sky. They are looking for the perfect patient, so if you look at the CDC or SART data, It is skewed when looking and comparing it to other clinics as they are not inclusive! I had a great appointment and was excited to start treatment. 24 hours later, I was told I wasnt going to be a patient - they hadnt even received the additional medical records that were requested! They deemed me high-risk without cause.

You almost never actually see Dr. Riggs and when you do he is extremely condescending. Their billing department sucks and doesnt know what theyre doing.

Hands down the best experience all around! Dr. Riggs and staff are the most successful and knowledgeable in the KC area. From the initial consultation to bringing in my miracle baby boy to meet the staff who helped create him...Ill forever be their #1 fan!

I couldnt be happier and more blessed with my experience. Front desk to business office to lab techs, nurses, sonography, aids, embryologist, np, and the amazing DrRiggs.... Blue Sky is family. You will feel like family. They are worth every penny.

Weve had nothing but unfavorable encounters with this office. Information on their website is misleading and the grammar is poor in certain sections. Their pricing is also misleading, and their client services skills are poor.In an attempt to understand their pricing, Ashleigh became clearly irritated with my questions and insisted twice that I set up an appointment with the doctor to discuss further. However, my questions were not regarding the procedure, but were regarding billing, which is Ashleighs department.Another issue we had was when I went to drop off a sample for analysis. My appointment was at 7:45 am, but their phones were not turned on until 7:50. We were not able to enter the building without first speaking with someone on the phone, but that was not possible without their phones being turned on. I value my time, as I am a very busy person, so their phones not being turned on at the correct time is unacceptable. The staff need to get to work earlier if they are failing to open at the correct time.I am a firm believer in only giving my business to companies that are good from the front desk to billing to the professional, and everyone in between. Therefore, Blue Sky Fertility has lost my business.

The Blue Sky Fertility team is amazing! They always go above and beyond! My family is so thankful for our 3 special babies whom have all been conceived through IVF with the help from these wonderful people.

I had a God-awful experience while visiting for a vaginal/pelvic ultrasound! The sonographer seemed as if she was driving a stick shift during the vaginal and pressed down so hard on my pelvis during the stomach ultrasound my body was sore for a few days.I complained to her and let her know it didn’t take all that. She was sure of herself and mentioned this wasn’t her first rodeo! I sure hope she hasn’t been treating everyone this way.I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences at the Lee’s Summit location. But I’ll never go back to the OP for anything else!

Ashleigh is a life saver. She is so much more than a billing director. She takes the the time and she truly cares. When my partner and I experienced an ectopic pregnancy and other challenges she walks us through everything, sure the money but also she always sees how we are. She helps make decisions that make financial sense but more importantly are based on our needs and wants. She truly gets us and knows us for who we are. It’s so important to have someone who not only builds a financial understanding with you but has passion behind helping people find a way to have their dream without spending every dime! Though we are not pregnant yet people like her that truly get the “why” behind patients choosing blue sky is why we stay and will stay until our journey is complete!

The communication is horrible and their lack of empathy is incredible for these struggling families. Call with less than 2 days notice that they cant keep their appointments and want to order more tests and dont know the costs associated. Weve asked repeatedly for a cost break down so we know what expenses we have coming and still just silence.They may do great work but the rest is

I highly recommend Blue Sky Fertility. I suffered from Recurrent Loss (3 Losses) so I didnt know if it was even possible for me to have a kid of my own. I loved how Dr. Riggs was upfront about the success rates of IVF but he also gave me hope that I could have success. After going through the uncertainty of recurrent loss it was very comforting to go through IVF where they track everything from lining, to hormones, etc to make sure everything is where it should be. I had to have 2 FET cycles canceled due to my hormones not being quite right but it was well worth the wait as we didnt waste any embryos and the 3rd cycle everything finally lined up and I was able to do the FET Transfer. That transfer was a success and I gave birth to a beautiful little boy 4.5 months ago. He is perfect in every way. Blue Sky gave me the most amazing gift anyone could ask for, a beautiful healthy little boy!!!I felt like they really cared about my success and that everything was perfect. I never felt like a number and felt like they genuinely wanted to give us a little baby. I also absolutely loved working with Jen who was in charge of my FET, she was really sweet and personable and you could tell she really cares. Ashleigh in billing was also very helpful and easy to work with!Update (Oct 2022)We are over the moon because Blue Sky helped us grow our family to two beautiful children, our little boy who we had in 2020 from my original view to now our little girl who we just had in August. Both FETS that we did with them worked! We are forever grateful and would highly recommend Blue Sky and Dr Riggs!

My husband and I tried to concieve for 12 years before reaching the point that we agreed to IVF. DR. Riggs and his staff are fantastic. Very caring, knowledgeable, and honest. The pricing we recieved was very transparent which was a big deal with us having no fertility coverage. We completed one round of IVF with 2 viable embryos. I also had to have polyps removed under his care. We are now expecting our little miracle after one transfer. We have female and male factor infertility and would not be here without these amazing people.

The ultrasound techs, labs tech, and nurses here are great. While Dr. Riggs was warm and knowledgeable to begin with, he kept forgetting key pieces of my medical history and was dismissive during our appointment after our IVF failure. He suggested a surgery I had just 3 months prior as an option prior to a new round of IVF.Unfortunately, their billing department is either disorganized or intentionally misleading.We received an estimate for IVF, but our actual costs ended up being over 50% higher than the estimate we received. The only explanation we received was “The estimate we provide to you is not the same amount we bill to insurance. We have a contracted rate with insurance and allowables are subject to change.” They would have me believe that in the 23 days between when I received my estimate and when I had my egg retrieval performed their contracted rate with Cigna went up by 50%? That seems highly unlikely, but no one was able to provide any explanation or show me where the price increase occurred.Additionally, the billing department forgot to credit me for amounts paid by insurance, and then tried to balance bill me when insurance denied some of their office’s claims for “services were not rendered as billed.”Lastly, their IVF estimate shows the estimated cost for the IVF cycle, uterine testing, and one FET cycle, with a medication estimate at the bottom. What they don’t make clear at all is the medication estimate is for the IVF cycle only and does not include the medications necessary for the FET cycle included on the clinical estimate.If you decide to try Blue Sky, don’t plan on relying on any financial information they give you.

We had a very bad experience, we are immigrants my sister is trying to get birth they do not help her to fill out paperwork. We had an appointment and waited for almost 8 months now they canceled it and rescheduled her for next year. New patient coordinator is very rude. Comparing to doctor Starks team, I will not recommend.

I felt heard and validated by the staff at BSF, while also having the privilege of being treated by an extremely knowledgeable physician in Dr. Riggs. My treatment plan was personalized and comprehensive, based on my prior medical history. Ultimately, I was fortunate to have a very successful IVF process and would absolutely recommend BSF.

Don’t get your hopes up going here! They will tell you that they can do something one day and the next day, after you have gotten everything together, started planning and getting excited, they will tell you that they can’t do it now. It’s a simple procedure that can literally be performed anywhere. I was told “Yes we do that here even for outside monitoring patients, we just need an order from your doctor”. The next day after calling my dr in Utah for an order, getting scheduled rearranged to accommodate my cycle and starting to get excited I called back to check pricing. I spoke with the same person from the day before and she told me “oh we don’t do those here for people that aren’t our patient and we aren’t taking new patients until December(it’s January). She really couldn’t have cared less about how this might effect me. I’m literally back to square one and pretty heartbroken. I would never recommend this office

I can’t say enough wonderful words about Blue Sky… the way my sister was treated throughout her entire journey made my heart so happy. Not to mention, the perfect nephew that we now have in this world, from the help of Blue Sky.

I love this clinic. Everyone is extremely competent professional, friendly, and empathetic. I never have to wait long for my appointment to start because the clinic runs efficiently, and they ALWAYS get me scheduled when I need an appointment, even on short notice. It’s been a pleasure coming here and I’d recommend them to anyone!!!

These beautiful humans helped make my sisters dream baby a reality. Against the odds and never gave up hope! They supported her every step of the way and I can never thank them enough for the miracle they created for her!! ❤💚❤
