I had a positive experience when taking my son here. Friendly reception and easy check-in process. The space was clean. The nurse was thorough and efficient. The PA was sincere and took the time to address our concerns and go over proper administration of the medication. We’ll definitely be back when needed.
Staff was courteous and helpful. The waiting room and patient rooms were clean. Obviously, there is some waiting you have to do, but all in all was a good experience. I really expected it to be less than enjoyable considering the circumstances
I went in for a poison ivy visit. The office was clean and staff was organized. The girls in the office were very kind and informative. They got to me very quickly and the shot they gave was painless. I would definitely recommend them!
This location customer service idk. The nurse that called me from the waiting room wasn’t friendly or was prejudiced. But she ask me what brought me in then took my vitals never said anything else to I was telling her my symptoms she never documented it. Last thing she said was your room is here in the doctor will be with you I never said anything back. This location always have you waiting for long times. The receptionist told me she couldn’t look up my insurance in to call my insurance provider. 6mins later out no where she was able to find my insurance number threw my provider in her system. The doctor came in was in there 2mins in only treated one symptom I was having. Left crying in went straight to pharmacy hoping they’ll send my meds over before I left remind you I got seen here 8/9/24 in again 8/17/24 both doctors never sent my meds in I had to keep calling this clinic. I finally received my meds. But then still didn’t get my meds for 2 more days smh I’ll never go to access again they just there to keep ppl coming hoping.
Normally I go to Classen Urgent Care, but on this day I was too sick to drive that far and this place was closest. I was one of two people in the lobby, took forever to be seen. Staff were busy playing on their phones and trying out radio stations. Once I was seen, they did 2 swabs for tests that came back negative. They didnt tell me those tests were going to cost hundreds even with insurance. They told me we dont know what you have and sent me on my way. No meds given in the office, no rx, nothing. I still had a high fever, terrible cough, couldnt breathe etc. No help whatsoever. Now theyre sending me the bill for all that help.
We had a great experience at Access! We were in and out, April up front was super nice and Nikki, our provider was wonderful! Will definitely be back!
Fast and efficient. They are amazing at listening to your needs and they never discredit you based on thier own opinions. Ive been to many urgent cares for my ear problems and nobody ever took me seriously until I came here
Fast service! I believe I was in there for maybe 45 minutes. I didnt wait in the room more than 5 minutes for the doctor. The longest wait time was checking in and waiting to go in the back. But even that was 15 minutes. Will be back for my families urgent care needs.
The staff and doctors at Access Medical very very kind and helpful, and made sure my visit was fast and that i got the assistance i needed. I’ve been here many times and they have always been great!
Once we got back, the visit went quickly. However the male triage nurse we had was just rude and bland. No people skills what so ever. The “soothing” music on the tv was like nails on a chalk board. Given they weren’t busy at all, they could’ve been nicer.
Great experience at Access. Little wait time, the PA listened to me, and I’m on my way to recovery. Nice, clean waiting area, great service, and every staff person was so nice!
Staff was nice but refused to send paper to another hospital. Wait time is usually pretty good. Not their fault but the hospital they recommended Norman Region was terrible had me waiting 2 hours with a inflamed appendix needing to be remove
For the second time in my child’s life, this clinic has prescribed antibiotics that were unnecessary for infections she did not have. The PA diagnosed her with double ear infections when none were present. She was accurately diagnosed with a viral infection the following day by her pediatrician. If I could give a zero star review I would.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They took good care of me, had a great sense of humor, and made me feel very comfortable while getting staples in the back of my head
If I could give no stars I would. The people here are incompetent as hell. I came in with my 8 month old baby and the sent us on our way with eye drops for pink eye when she has a clogged tear duct. I went to norman regional ER and they informed me she had an ear infection, and the person at this urgent care didnt even look in her ears. Dont waste your time or money at this place.
I personally was very disappointed with the lady working at the front desk. I was very sick and instead of helping me when i was asking her questions, she was sitting behind the front desk looking at her lap. When i looked i saw her phone and she was playing some type of game on her phone with the volume very loud. She was not even trying to hide it. It was very unprofessional and led me to getting up and walking out and going somewhere else.
While going to see the doctor, especially at an urgent care facility is rarely a pleasant experience, I am always treated exceptionally well and seen quickly whenever I go to Access Medical Center. In fact, I choose to drive several miles across town rather than to a local competitor only two blocks from my house.
Nikki was incredible as always. She understands and remembers my health problems. She listens to my concerns and always has me feeling better soon. Shortly said, she is awesome, caring and incredible!
The staff is always great, and the facility itself is clean. It never takes too long to get in, and get out. This is the only urgent care I will go to. I appreciate all they do.
The front desk end rooming MA were fine. The PA was ok… however, being a medical professional myself, I know that we are taught how to assess a patient. I’m trying not to be a Karen… but the affected area of my face was not palpated to even see where the ear infection might have spread to. I’m getting admitted to the hospital for mastoiditis and going to be getting iv antibiotics. The PA looked in my ear, mentioned my ear canal was small, walked out of the room and then the MA that roomed me walked in with my discharge papers. I was so confused because I thought she might have palpated my normal side and then my affected side to idk have something to compare it to… but no. I was in and out like a robbery. Which is fine because not everyone wants to sit around and wait all day. There are some things that need to be done to standard and some things that need to be done in time. In regard to situations similar to mine, passing the Buck or being in and out like a robbery could cost someone a vital part of their livelihood. I didn’t even get the chance to ask if I should just go ahead to the ER due to the swelling in the areas of the affected side, the inability to chew because it was so swollen and hurt so much,& the fact that my mastoid area was swollen as well. I was discharged and when walking through to go to the exit, it was like everyone disappeared so I wouldn’t be inclined to ask questions. The front desk lady was there but paying in depth attention to something else so I didn’t bother. There were so many missed opportunities for patient care.
Made an appointment on line. Waited in The waiting room for about 10 minutes. Was seen and taken care of in a timely manner. Staff was excellent 💜
Great experience. I was seen promptly, treated courteously and thoroughly. I would definitely come here again, and would recommend it to family and friends.
The Physicians Assistant was wonderful and really cared. She helped with a prescription issue as well after I left. Very thoughtful and professional!
Loved seeing old coworkers and also seeing Nikki take such good care of my son was amazing!!
We love coming to Access! They’re always so friendly, so quick and great with my daughters!
Checking in was slow and confusing.Once the clerk helped, it was fine.Provider did not explain the grit and blood in my ear.
Im always able to get an appointment on the same day. I went in last week and was able to get in and out in under an hour. My meds were called to my favorite pharmacy. The staff are very friendly and efficient.
Providers are always very thorough and knowledgeable. The providers and staff my family has seen are very kind and welcoming each time we’ve been. I would definitely recommend this location.Updated after new visit:Loved the provider and nurses/aids but had scheduling issues.Booked an appointment for my 7-year-old son at 11:30 am and driving to the appointment I had to stop to air up a tire that was nearly flat. I tried to call but didn’t reach a live person and we arrived about 10 minutes late. We got put at the back of a long line of patients after we’d already waited from home for 3 hours since booking the first available appointment. The person with a 12:00 appointment arrived at 12:06 and they called them right back ahead of everyone. Other than that, Ashley, the provider we saw , was great. She had my son’s foot x-rayed and determined it was broken. The nurse talked us through the “boot” they gave him and what to do if we need it replaced. Then they walked us through the next steps to get follow up care, told us to stop or limit certain activities, and gave us a note for school and the PE teacher. Loved the provider and nurses!
I had a great experience going here for a DOT physical. The prices was quick, easy, and the staff were all very nice 👍🏻
I felt itvwas rushed and minimallized. It was not really busy and I felt I was an inconvenience. I know some things are hard to diagnose, I was disssapointed that I was not allowed to get a steroid shot that would have helped much quicker and I would not still be suffering. It is what it is
Wonderful service, my son was seen quickly, treated with compassion, everyone was so kind and attentive! Great job team!
I went in to get stitches removed, I was able to get in early on a Saturday, so I could then get to the plans for rest of the weekend. Staff is kind and patient.
From check in to check out every one was so kind and companionate! Julee was my nurse and Brook was my PA, they both were great! Got me in and out with little to no wait time, care was superb and Julee’s contagious laughter was the best medicine they could have given me! Great team!! Thank you all for your help and kindness!
The whole experience was great. Lana was great at getting all of my information and getting me checked in fast. I was seen very promptly. Julee was great when I went back and took all of my vitals. She was very thorough on all of my issues and got me taken care of quickly. The PA Nikki listened very carefully to my concerns and did excellent with my care. You can tell the whole staff really cares about the patients. I am very happy coming to Access Medical of Norman when I feel like I need to be seen.
Fairly quick service, friendly staff, and they will actually listen to your concerns and try to find the best treatments
My provider was amazing. She listened and was more than thoughtful and prescribed what I needed. Also, the check in process is professional and timely.
I was pleased with the outcome of my visit! My diagnose was correct! The treatment as a patient & the medicine that was prescribed to me which helped!!! That was for the breakout upon my face helped clear it up!! After suffering for 2 years & the spot upon my eye had progressed before my visit there! I finally am now getting some OR should I say?? Alot of relief!!!! I cant express how much but I appreciate everything you all there done for me there! Thank you so so much!
The staff got me signed in quickly and provided items to keep me comfortable while I waited. Julee was very attentive and helped relieve my stress. Thank you all for making my visit quick and as painless as possible.
Kind, friendly and fast, way better than an emergency roomvisit. Highly recommend
Brooklyn Johnson was very nice and very thorough and answered all my questions. Highly recommend access medical center.
The staff here is consistently friendly and so easy to work with Very very nice!
The staff at Access Medical Center were compassionate and thorough. Wait time was less than 15 minutes, once checked in. NP Ashley McMains listened to my medical issue and diagnosed it with proper medication. She even offered additional recommendations to complete the necessary future treatment I would need. This to me is a very dedicated and empathetic NP. Although I was in a lot of pain, the visit was pleasant and I left feeling that my medical issue would be resolved with the treatment she provided. I would recommend this facility for urgent care to those young and old.
I took my son in last night for a barking cough and wheeze. I told the receptionist I felt like he couldn’t breathe well and they were checking his oxygen in the lobby. Gave him a breathing treatment and steroids as soon as possible and had him feeling slightly better before we even saw the doctor. So incredibly grateful for this group of women and men last night and their urgency to care for my child.
I was seen quickly and the staff was very professional. They addressed my issue competently.
Seen quickly and efficiently by both nurse and PA-C . Felt well cared for. Thank you
Access in Norman was fantastic. The PA listened to me thoroughly, explain things in a way I could understand, and was very non-judgmental. I was visiting Norman for a training and was a bit nervous going to an urgent care I had not been to. She made me feel at ease.
I have been to this urgent care 2 or 3 times and have been very impressed each visit. The online check in is very quick and easy. And they have always had same day availability whenever I have needed it. I have had to wait 5-10 minutes each time, but I feel like that is an appropriate wait time. All of the staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I most recently saw a PA there named Chad Edminsten and was very impressed by his helpfulness and patience. He did not seem to be in a hurry, was very willing to listen to and answer all of my questions, and made sure I thoroughly knew the treatment plan and more. I even told him how much I appreciated the ample time he gave me. Overall I’d highly recommend this place if you ever need an urgent care.
Made an appointment online. The next available was 2 hours later and it showed several people ahead of me. Drove there only to find a note on the door that they were closed due to the weather. It’s irresponsible to have patients who need help arriving to find your closed. Thank God hospitals stay open. You need to fix this issue.
Took less than 15 minutes to be seen. Good service. They treated us good.
Fast in and very easy for you to find out what is going on in your body. Very satisfied and happy.
I received an antigen test at this location and everyone I spoke with was helpful, nice, efficient and caring. The facility was clean, the care quick and the staff were all superb.
I went in because I was sick for two weeks. Hacking cough, musis problems, throwing up. They saw me fast and got me medicine to make my cough go away.
The administrators at the front desk didn’t know what was going on, and couldn’t answer any of our questions about whether they took our insurance or not, or about what the rate would be if our insurance wasn’t in network with them. I had to go see them on a holiday, so my insurance wasn’t open for such questions. We had an appointment at 12:40, and we checked in 5 minutes early for it. It took them more than an hour to see us, even though everyone else was a walk-in and we were assured that walk-ins weren’t seen before people with an appointment. When I went to ask at 1:30 how long it’d be or how many people were in front of us, the answer was “no clue; it’ll be your turn when it’s your turn.”So unhelpful. I usually love access locations because even if it takes a while to be seen, they staff is friendly and helpful, but I will never visit an access medical again.
10/10! Quick & thorough! Definitely one of my best experiences in an urgent care. Other places just shuffle you in and out. They listened to everything I told them & made sure that they looked at the possibilities. Only place I’ll be going from now on.
Always fast and very courteous. Good doctors and perfect for minor noon emergency room visits. Can check in online to get in even faster. Very clean and professional office.
This is the best urgent care in Norman! Dr. Fetters is always so good with her patients and I have never had a long wait. I have seen the comments about the reception, but I have never had a problem with them. The wonderful lady that is usually up front is really nice and has never been rude to me or my family 1 single time. Not only that, but every staff member I have ever encountered has been nothing but understanding, helpful, caring, and extremely professional! My family will not go anywhere else!
I’ve been here a couple, few times. They’re nice, thorough, and quick every time. The card machine system was having A Moment, but the lady up front was very nice and reassured me everything was okay with my stuff (I work in medical too I know how it is sometimes). The lady at the front was asking questions to another lady, and she was also very pleasant and helpful to each question. That’s a big deal to me as a patient (or customer or patron or client or whatever), that the staff treats each other with kindness and respect ESPECIALLY in front of non-staff.I loved the appointment scheduler that I found when i was google mapping the address. I almost missed the QC code on the front door but saw it just in time. I noticed there was another on the front desk window too tho, so covered all the way around.Nice room nurse and provider too!
I have been to this urgent care clinic more times than I would like to admit and every time they have always treated me so well. Gotten me fixed up and on the road to healing right away! All of the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. I also love that you can make appointments online so you don’t have to wait. Would recommend!!
We absolutely love access urgent care! Everyone is so very nice and spend the time talking to you like a normal person. We have been going here for years and never had a bad experience, plus we have never had to wait longer than 30 minutes. I know they do get busy and have wait times like most urgent cares, but we have never had to experience that in the 11 years we have been going.
The provider, Nicole Fetters PAC, was wonderful. She was genuine, caring, kind, reassuring and competent. She’s great with kids, too. She explained things to me that no previous doctors had ever tried to explain. The lady who took my vitals and the receptionist were also really nice. I was able to get an appointment, get in and out, very quickly. I definitely recommend this place!Addendum:I went back again and saw Christy. She was so wonderful too! I walked in with no appointment to friendly and supportive staff, and waited just 10 minutes to see Christy. I was treated and out the door in 15 minutes! Wonderful place!
I was a little put out about having to add the info over the net on my phone in the office, given I was frustrated with my condition and I am 75 years oldMy daughter filled it out. I didnt have a long wait. The person who saw me was very nice, diagnosed me sent the meds prescription to my pharmacy and I was on my way home. This was a sunday afternoon
The wait wasn’t long at all considering you had to make an appointment and I didn’t realize! But they still took us in and saw us thankfully. They were so kind and reassuring to us and our infant. The nurse and doctor were very patient and attentive to my sons needs. I would definitely recommend them.
PA, Fetters is my favorite she is so informative, friendly and sweet. I go here for her. Everyone else is friendly. Fast service and clean clinic.
The staff at this office should be ashamed of the way they treat patients. They’re completely unprofessional, especially the tall white man with brown hair and tattoos on his arms (a nurse I believe) he was rude, short and made us feel very uncomfortable. We had a major incident and needed to be seen immediately and they acted put out and annoyed that we came in 30 minutes before closing. This is an URGENT CARE & I would say it was pretty darn urgent and we didn’t want to end up spending hours in the ER. This is your job.. if you aren’t willing to take patients until closing time you shouldn’t be in this profession. Wish I could give zero stars. This staff gives Norman Heath care a bad name.
We are in a smaller town a little ways south of Norman and our Urgent Care doesnt see babies. It was nice to find an urgent care that does. They were kind, professional, and helped with our little ones allergic reaction. Filling out paperwork online and checking in was very easy and quick. They also were very timely with calling us back after paperwork was complete. Thank you very much! We will be coming back if we need an urgent care in the future.
Very professional and friendly. The wait was a little long but they had a lot of patients to see, and they did a great job of being timely as much as possible. The were thourough, ask questions, and obviously did their best to make for certain that I received the best care. I will absolutely use them in the future without hesitation and recommend their top notch facility to everyone I know. Chad - my p.a., was awesome, very assurring and professional. I wouldnt hesitate for a moment to put my life or my familys in his care.
Last time I went to this clinic for strep throat my visit was $89. I went today $220. I dont have insurance nor did I last time. My girlfriend went to the Classen Urgent Care Clinic today for strep just like me and her visit was only $109 no insurance.
Access was great with my three year old, especially Fetters. She was so kind and made my child feel comfortable. Will definitely return when necessary!
A really great experience at this urgent care. The nurse was sweet and patient, Nikki the PA was very thorough and kind with my daughter. I really appreciate the care we received here, thank you.
So accommodating and quick. I went to get an inhaler and some steroids for my asthma. I was amazed at how easy the check in process was. They were not busy when I was there so they were able to get me right in. The PA was kind and compassionate and quick to address my issue. They also listened to my reasons why I preferred a certain inhaler to another for my condition. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! They rock!
Just incredible staff. Everyone was super kind, and even more helpful. The doctor lady stayed and explained everything to me so well, and never once rushed any questions I had. More help than I could ever ask for from the front desk all the way to the examiner room just an amazing group of people
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the lady that helped me check in. She was so patient. The health care Provider was a very nice and kind lady. She took a lot of effort to make a staple removal less painful. I recommend them and their kind service to anyone who needs non-emergency care.
I went in for what turned out to be a stye. The doctor - Amanda was her name I believe - was very gentle in her examination of my eye and in her delivery of my diagnosis. As someone who has anxiety that was very appreciated.
Everyone who worked there was very nice.. didnt take long to be seen . Very professional staff . Everything was very well kept and clean no complaints at all will def go back if i need to ...thanks guys keep up the good work
Everyone was nice, courteous, and caring. Being from out of state, I was hesitant. Thankfully, there was no need to be. Nikki the provider truly cared and listened to what I said. She was knowledgeable to fill in what I couldnt, and also recommended me over the counter solutions for my earache. Clean facility. Lovely staff. Quick service. Cheaper than any emergency visit ever would be. Getting an appointment was fast and easy. Thank you, everyone there, for making it a good experience!
Everyone that works here is always very friendly and non-judgmental. I will only go to this urgent care.
The staff were all wonderful from the receptionists to the Nurse Practitioner. The man who cleaned my wound was super sweet. He understood my pain and let me get ahold of myself and the pain in between cleaning it. These people were very professional and also made me feel at home.
I’ve used Access Medical twice now. Both visits the entire staff was caring and compassionate. The care practitioners always made sure to explain everything so that I could understand what was wrong and what I needed to do to best care for myself, but they never spoke to me in way that made me feel stupid (like some doctor experiences I’ve had in the past). They got me in as quickly as they could and got me taken care of as quickly as they good. Great healthcare providers!
The staff was very professional and friendly. I witnessed another patient lose their temper with the receptionist for no legitimate reason while the receptionist maintained her composure and professionalism while being cussed at. Highly recommend Access Medical for your urgent care needs.
My husband and I were both seen by Nicole Fetters, PA-C. She was the kindest doctor I have ever had! Thank you so much for being so informative, helpful, and caring. I highly recommend this facility!
Experience overall good. I only had one problem. When I got to pharmacy only 1 of the 2 medications prescribed were sent over so I called phone number on paper and had to sit on a long hold to in the end be transferred to the urgent care clinic itself. Would have been better to have a direct number to clinic and even better to have had both scripts sent over. As of this moment still have not received other prescription yet.
I had to give them one star because it wouldnt let me do 0 or - Its a shame this was my go to spot when my boys got sick or injured now you cannot walk in and when you try and make an appointment by phone it took almost a half hour to get someone on the phone. The only reason I continue to go is for the PA that is awesome with my boys and they really like her. I think after today Im going to look elsewhere for care for my boys
Ive never had a bad experience at this Clinic. The staff are all efficient, friendly, and helpful. The providers are excellent and attentive. Ive never felt dismissed or rushed at this Clinic. I have also helped several special needs folks come to this clinic and they have always received excellent treatment and care.
I have used this urgent care for many years, and other than an insurance issue my son had, I’ve personally never really had any complaints with them. I went in this morning to get something for a relentless headache after being rearended over the weekend. They refused to see me unless I paid cash for the visit as they stated they would not bill my insurance because it would be denied. Yes, this is how it’s done. It’s filed, denied, and then eventually paid for by the auto insurance responsible. I am extremely disappointed with this facility and this policy.
EVERYONE was very friendly and accommodating. Nikki is a phenomenal PA. The nurse that took me back was timely and so cordial. The receptionist was friendly the moment we got there and was good to catch me before I made it out the door to collect my copayment. Having managed medical offices myself, I was impressed.
Went in for a simple TB Test, took almost an hr just to be seen for a test that took all of 10 sec. Upon return for TB test results. . . Have been waiting 20 mins already and thats with NOONE being seen in the back.
The receptionist was not helpful or welcoming, but the use of the online check in system is very convenient. The nurse who took my vitals and administered my flu test was very nice and with it. She attempted to perform a strep test on me but I was really struggling with that one. She never made me feel bad or got upset. The PA who saw me was kind of funny. Very sing songy and theatrical. To cover all of the bases and save me another trip in, he prescribed antibiotics to take in a few days in case my symptoms don’t improve. I appreciate that.
Well Ive been to this place plenty of times but this time was different. I bring my child in with stomach pain fever and headache symptoms for 3 days now. Well during the assessment no BP was taken no temperature no respiration and they ran one test for strep. 20 minutes late were out the door with sorry you just gotta let whatever take its course. I usually have good service here but this time around they didnt seem to care much
I was in and out in 15 minutes. Wonderful service.
This was my second visit in the last couple of weeks due to a fever and cough. The were very attentive and got my treatment going right away. They checked on me every few minutes to make sure I was ok. Turns out I have pneumonia and they shuffled me out the door to the ER with my x rays. I am very glad they were so kind to me. Would recommend to everyone.
I have been to this clinic many times and recommended this clinic to many friends and fellow coworkers because of their professionalism and the care that they put into their jobs. But today I was immensely disrespected by one of the receptionist for not having a car. After being told it was OK to wait inside, I was disrespected by one of the receptionist who kept making comments about how I was lying about having walked to the facility ( my house is a good 1,000 feet from the clinic, so not far at all )and not having a vehicle. i decided to say something and told her i could hear everything she was saying about me and proceeded to go wait in a different area. there was absolutely no need for her comments and unfortunately that has influenced my decision to not return to this clinic. Thumbs down for this one 👎
The receptionist here is complete trash. The app allows you to check in online and she told me (after 30 min of waiting in my car) that I should have come inside. What’s the point of checking in online then? When I was speaking to the receptionist she almost immediately got defensive and pushed the blame on me.This is completely unprofessional, especially when I’m customer service. We will be choosing another UC if this issue happens again.Been coming here for years and this has never been an issue.
We had an amazing experience from start to finish for my son’s athletic physical. The staff were friendly and efficient and the nurse and provider immediately put us both at ease! Highly recommend!
I have been a few times, and every time I go I feel listened to and treated with respect by someone not only knowledgeable but also educational. I really appreciate their explanations and how to care for what I have.
I needed a Covid test over the weekend and this was the only location on my side if town offering rapid testing. I was able book an appointment and fill in my paperwork online, so a super easy experience that let me limit my exposure to others. They were very nice, helpful and informative. They gave me additional advice on what to keep an eye on and how to help my symptoms. The only upside to being very ill is to receive quality care from friendly people.
Very personable staff. I messed up trying schedule online. The ladies were very nice and helped get it straight. I was able to get in and seen after my error was fixed. I saw the PA there. I believe Nikki. She was wonderful. Made sure she checked my vitals and blood sugar. I am certainly glad I went there and I wish I could remember all of their names. I will go there from now on.
They are WAY understaffed! I showed up with my daughter to a room full of people waiting to be seen. We waited for 2hours before we got seen. And thats not including the time the other people who were here before us that had their children had to wait. Unacceptable! The only reason why we stayed so long is that our pediatricians office was closed today. So much for urgent care! However, the staff was super sweet and apologized for the wait.
Chad the amazing PA is always great!! Definitely my Ortho guy!! Jennifer and Lucy were amazing with my daughter. Quick, caring and amazing staff!!
I came into the office with a laceration of my finger and was taken back immediately. The staff are so caring and attentive to my needs. I had to wait to see the Nurse Practitioner but she numbed me and stitched me up quickly. I wood recommend them to anyone! Thank yall for the excellent care!
Easy, fast, in and out. Every employee was polite!
TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION! My husband came in 3/7/23, went back for 3 min just to be told to go to the ER. His symptoms were given BEFORE the appointment and he could have been told before he even stepped back to go to the ER. He was charged $131.95 to go to the ER! I called the SAME DAY to dispute this charge and they agreed it should have not been charged and were supposed to refund the amount to our HSA. I have spent countless hours calling them and billing to no avail. I even WENT IN to the office TWO times and left my name, number, and info for the office manager to call me. Nothing has come of this! Now, we have a $2,100 ER bill and still haven’t been returned the $131.95! DON’T GO HERE!
My nurse, Laci, was super sweet! As well as my nurse practitioner, Heather! Both very kind and respectful. The wait time was about an hour from my appointment, but I was able to wait in my car, and it’s typical to wait awhile at an urgent care.
Ive used Access several times in the last year. They have been nothing but professional and understanding. The front desk staff is always friendly, the PA Nicole is amazing. She knows what questions to ask to get information from regular people who dont know how to describe their symptoms. They accept most types of insurance. You can go online and schedule appointments before hand
The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars was because the receptionist was really unfriendly and definitely didn’t seem to be happy to be there. I didn’t get her name. This isn’t based on just my experience with her but hearing her interaction with those that came in after me. You have to play 20 questions to get anywhere with her because she isn’t going to volunteer anything up and seems completely annoyed to have to answer them. The nurse was great and the Dr was just ok. I usually go to the one on Classen but they had a 3 hour wait and this one gives you an appointment time so you can go home and wait at least. I’ll definitely try to avoid coming back to this one but it won’t be the end of the world if I can’t.
Our visit went above our expectations. Starting with Myranda, the receptionist, who was very patient with explaining the new patient online registration process. When arriving, she promptly recalled our conversation and quickly processed our information. Julibeth, the medical assistant, carried herself with confidence and professionalism. Nikki, the PA, represented Access Medical very well. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We left there with all the care and reassurance we needed to return to our state of wellness. Thank you, ladies!
Ive been going to the one on east side Norman for years and years and Ive ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. Yesterday, I took a five-year-old for a physical and covid test before surgery and sat in the tiny room waiting to be seen for over an hour and we had an appointment. Instead of seeing the people scheduled in order, she put three of her friends in front of us. The receptionist said they did not have room but she came out and said she would see them anyway. When I gave her the complaint, Ms. Robbins was extremely rude to me asking why she cared and she knew wed been waiting that long.
Always had pretty good luck going there. Staff in back (doctor, nurses, PA) have all been kind & professional. The front office staff not so much
Quick, in and out within an hour. Had everything needed in office, immediately did breathing treatment on my son and had us out within an hour from check in to check out. Very nice staff, up beat and seemed to enjoy their jobs. It is so nice to see smiling faces :)
This place is my go to everytime the kids get sick. My pcp never has same day appointments so this place is super helpful. They always take good care of my girls and the wait, tho sometimes a little longer than Id like, is never unbearable.
Im so thankful that they werent crowded and I was seen right away. Very empathetic staff and Drs ❤️And the nurse who did my vitals has a great sense of humor! This location is on 12th street in Norman.
I have brought several of my children here and always feel like the service is good. The wait is usually not very long and everyone is friendly. This time, we were the last people for the day, and while I know they were ready to go home, they treated us with respect and I did not feel like they were rushed. The provider and nurses were very friendly. They diagnosed my son accurately and were very helpulful.
Came in 4 days ago and was diagnosed with Covid. I had all symptoms, fever, chills and fatique. I could barely stand, had to lay down on the bed in the waiting room. They didn’t give anything to help even though there’s a pill for everyone who tests positive called Paxlavid. When I asked about it, was told Covid is like the flu and it has to run its course. They were also rushing me out of the room for some reason which made me feel like they weren’t very caring. I called back today to let them know my symptoms were not improving and now had a very painful sore throat. Normally, I go to the one on Classen because they are more affordable and caring. I went to this one because it was the closest and I couldn’t drive well due to my killer head pain. Definitely recommend anyone who took the time to read this to go to the one on Classen so you don’t feel the way I did.
This is by far the worst dr visit I have had. The employees are not focused, not customer forward and in no hurry to treat patients. They emphasize their online check-in so you can schedule a 4:30 appointment to still be sitting in waiting room at 6PM. No updates or apologies for the long wait. All the while the door to the back office is wide open and you can see/hear the majority of the employees standing around talking with each other. My appt alone should have only taken half an hour max and I’m sure that was the case with all 5 other patients that were there during the duration of my visit but yet they were so incredibly busy that each patient I saw while I was there waited a minimum of 45 minutes. Even with an appointment. There were walk ins who went ahead of me even though I went on and schedule a specific appointment time and filled out all the documents before arriving. And when you call they aren’t friendly or helpful just rush you off the phone. I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received on more than one occasion, but this one was by far the worst. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
This place is always super fast. If you schedule online there is basicly no wait time. Any time I have had to go to this Access Medical Center I have been in and out in less then an hour. The staff are super sweet and professional. I always recommend this place to my loved ones when they are needing medical help.
Been waiting here for 3 hours for a COVID test and was told it would be 1 hour. Ive watched several people arrive after me, check in, and get tested before me. Im not gonna harass the front desk over it - I know the stress of working with people and Im not about to become a Karen over this - but a more accurate estimation of wait times wouldve been nice as well as sticking with the line. The staff are very nice and experienced, which is why its not a lower review.
Normally I love this place. I have been going here for over 15 years. However today 12/31/21 the PA on duty today was not professional and did not listen to my request on a different type of antibiotic that works better for me. I unfortunately did not realize this until I was at the pharmacy. Instead he prescribed the only type that I can not take leaving me with no medication that I could benefit from. My frustration continues when he only checked my lungs (and did so while singing...not kidding), not nose, or ears like every other PA and Doctor has preformed in the past and is trained to do so in medical school. 5 stars on the rest of the staff here today. They made me feel comfortable in a uncomfortable situation being unwell. Please bring back qualified PAs back into the clinic. I know I cant be alone feeling this way about the clinic today.
Signing up online was convenient and there was no one in line at my scheduled time. The staff was really welcoming and I was able to upload my insurance information and complete demographic information before my visit via the website . Check-in was straightforward using a QR code and a smart phone. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Would highly recommend.
Quick, efficient care! I would recommend & use again if needed. Online scheduling & paperwork really helped. Thank you, Access Med team!!
This location is the best in my opinion. We love Dr. Fetter and all the PA’s and staff. They’re extremely friendly but also professional. They’ve taken care of us with the two times we’ve had COVID and also taken care of me for other things as well. Definitely will be our urgent care from now on!
I really am impressed waiting time was zero and the staff were very professional, helpful and caring I enjoyed the positive attitudes loaded with smiles suck people can sometimes be difficult they dont take it personally and snap at you they understand and do there best to help you feel better and it helps to be able to feel secure and know your on the road to feeling better!
PA was great. That’s about all. My wife and I are both nurses and have taken are children here a few times and received great care. Today the staff was extremely rude and did not care how noticeable it was. The whole environment was awkwardly off. We will be taking the kids somewhere else.
I have used this clinic several times with no big complaints. However, at my most recent visit, I made an appointment and when I got there on time, there were 2 other people in line. NOBODY got called back for over an hour. 😔
I made the appointment online. Did my paperwork before arriving. Was called back quickly. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly! Took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. Will use this clinic again if urgent care is needed.
Great. Did not have to wait too long.
Very friendly, quick, and kind to our daughter. She has had a lot of medical visits in her and can be a little anxious. The staff was patient and let her take ownership of the process.
Very pleasant experience from start to finish. the receptionist, the nurse, and sweet nicki were all so kind and good-natured. they answered all my questions and got me in and out in a timely manner. strep sucks but they helped make it suck a little less 💖
They were quick, efficient and friendly. I went in and had barely a ten minute wait. Saw the doctor as soon as I got back, they did as quick test for Strep and the Flu, diagnosed me, gave me my prescriptions and sent me home with a note for two days best rest. They were all very helpful and very friendly and the entire thing took maybe 30 minutes
Everytime we go in the staff is absolutely amazing, the PA is such a patient, understanding person with great communication. Thank you Access medical for always making sure we are taking care of
I loved the employees and the nurse I had was awesome
Quick online check-in. No waitVery sweet staff.
The staff were all lovely and I have no complaints! The checkup was quick and easy and I appreciated their help
Love the staff at this location in Norman!!! They are always so uplifting, and good to my family! They are thorough and compassionate. It really means a lot when you have chronic illness and have to go to the Dr. frequently. Nikki is the absolute best!
Hannah A., the PAC, was amazing! Really listened and explained well. Friendly, intelligent with a great bedside manner.
I appreciated the sanitation measures they took to keep us safe. I also appreciated the extremely quick help for my little girl and the kindness showed toward her. When you usually dread going to the doctor to walk away with a smile says allot.
Ive been here many times over the years and they are always fast, kind, and professional. Honestly I wish Dr. Fetters could be my PCP because she is always friendly, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental. She makes you feel very at ease.
A spacious, clean, well-lighted place with jovial and attentive staff. Quick in. Quick out.
The staff at this facility are always personable while remaining professional.I had to use their services during COVID 19 lockdown for vertigo. They implemented social distancing amidst the demand of patients.Great job and thank you.
I was a walk-in and still was in and out in around 40 minutes. Thank you
The receptionist was awful, not friendly, knowledgeable, etc. However once the nurse/tech took us back things went smooth and fast. The PA was extremely knowledgeable and kind to my 9 yr old daughter. We were in and out quite quickly.
So quick, so kind, so efficient, so caring! Who could ask for more?
I went to access medical Friday in May 11th. I was greeted at the window with a warm smile and very friendly staff. Randall quickly got me checked in and a very nice young lady took my vitals, I wish I could remember her name. She too was very friendly and very understanding of the pain I was in. Dr. Nicole examined me and diagnosed me and quickly got me on my way to go pick up my grandson from school. This is such a good facility I am very happy and feel blessed that we have it on the Eastside of Norman. The entire staff today was so friendly and helpful I just want to thank them very much.
I absolutely LOVE Nicole Fetters! I take my kids here anytime they are sick or injured (w/Cheer as his sport, my son is often injured) and she has been great every single time. She is really good at explaining things, especially things to watch for and her concerns. I was in for an injury today, she got me in and out quickly, and again, explained her concerns, and what to watch for with my injury. The lovely woman up front is also amazing, she is kind, sweet, and helpful. I’d recommend them a million times over.
Love the nurses and doctors at this location. Always good to explain symptoms, preventions, causes, and treatment for what ever the ailment turns out to be. Wait was really long thus visit, all others have been suprisingly short for medical facility
This care center is one big scam. Came in for an antigen test and booked my spot online. I get there and they want an extra $300 plus the $125 antigen test. Really? I take these tests all the time all over the country and I’m telling you this is a scam. Went down the street and saw a real doctor at an urgent care center and paid $96 for everything. Crazy
Staff is NOT courteous and has you fill out tons of documentation even when you are a repeat patient. Very long wait and finally left without being seen. It was similar to a DPS visit and we all know how unpleasant that is.
Love making appointments on line, no waiting or exposer to others.Dr has seen whole family now. Treated me and meds were ready in 10 min.Very helpful friendly and caring....For urgent care this is the only place in Norman you want to go, believe me.
Everyone was so kind, upbeat, efficient, and thorough! Super glad I made an appt. It was my first time there, to take a Covid test for travel, and it was a great experience! Thanks to you ALL, and stay safe and Healthy! 😊
PA Jamie Fetters was as she has always been professional, compassionate, thorough and informative. She doesn’t try to rush me out and wants to make sure I have a clear understanding of my diagnosis and treatment.I also want to commend the PA, whose name I can’t remember, I saw on my previous visit. She discovered an atelectisis because of the thorough exam she she did, and ordered an XRay to confirm her diagnosis. She then sent me to the ER.You are blessed to have these two bright, compassionate, thorough PA’s, and I hope they are commensurately compensated.Sincerely, Philys Dawson
I am aware the staff was just doing what she was told. But asking someone with very sharp chest pain to fill paperwork before seeing a doctor is unethical.
Just had the rudest receptionist when I showed up for my appointment? I made an appt for an online visit but they asked to see me in person, and then moved my appt to the Norman clinic. The lady who helped with this part was very nice! The woman I talked to when i pulled up for my appt was very rude, didnt know about the appointment, kept cutting me off when she asked me questions and was overall very unpleasant.Ive been trying to wait for my employer provided health insurance to kick in before going but I was feeling very bad today so made the appt. When I explained I didnt have health insurance yet she told me well youre going to have a very big bill if you come in. I told her I heard the price was 125$ and she said maybe at Classen medical.I ended up just ending the call because Im feeling really sick and really overwhelmed and not ready to deal with that right now. Ill figure it out somewhere else.
Great service and fast! They get you your meds and note for work and every doctor Ive seen actually cares about your health and needs! I definitely recommend! ❤️
Went for covid test. It was negative thank goodness. Had EKG to check heart The staff was very caring and made me feel comfortable. I had a great experience. Thank you all. God bless.
Nikki Fetters was awesome. Made me feel very heard and understood and took her time. With how busy everything is today, I felt like I was the only person in the clinic! This is the only place I’ll go, thank you so much!
I have gone here for years. I went today and Tera remembered me from January. All the staff is so friendly and actually care about their patients. Ive gone to other urgent care centers and you will never get the amazing care, genuine staff, and competence you will at Access Medical on east 12th. Thank you for the great medical care!
Everyone was extremely friendly! Kasey (I believe was her name) brought me back and was very friendly/professional! Then I was greeted by Niki one of the providers. Niki was extremely down to earth, and explained everything in simple terms I was able to understand. I would recommend stopping by if you arent feeling well!
The Doctors and Nurses are excellent, but the front people are rude and condescending. The front receptionist (young girl with very dark curly hair and too much makeup) actually went out of her way to remove her mask before talking directly to me. When I checked out, neither of the front people were wearing their masks. They complained the whole time at how many asymptomatic covid cases they had seen and were very rude to me because of it, yet they didn’t feel that the masks applied to them. The doctors and nurses wore theirs and were very cautious and courteous the whole time.Would go back, but if I’m treated like that again, I will never return. There is no reason to act this way to people that are feeling at their worst.
Excellent experience. The staff was kind and friendly. Got us back quick with our toddler and made the process quick and painless. Will definitely go back if/when needed.
Honestly the staff are amazing and they are fast you can check in online if your like me with kids always running around so you have time to prepare. But seriously they’ve helped my family time and time again. Thanks y’all!
They were quick and asked about the problem and listened to me. Really concerned about me and quite professional. I was comfortable with the people and they acted like my concerns and questions really mattered. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing medical attention.
Absolutely excellent medical team that shows true compassion for the patient. Theyre great!!
Entire staff was super friendly & had no problems getting in & out quickly other than the front desk receptionist. Super rude & it honestly made me want to leave. I have no idea what’s going on in her life, though. Just wouldn’t want that being the face of any company.
This urgent care was not helpful and honestly just made things worse for me. I took my daughter in with a swollen lymph node in hopes that they prescribe her a z-oak and send us home. We went to see her Dr Fri and that is what he told us to do if it got worse. Well, it got worse, we went to urgent care and they acted like she had something terribly wrong with her that they werent going to mess with and to go to her Dr. They didnt look in her mouth or ears. Didnt take her temp or anything. I was a hot mess by the end of our appt. My worry suddenly increased to freaking out. When I confronted the pa about my sudden serious concern, she looked at me like I was crazy and that there was no cause for concern, but still refused to help. They didnt prescribe antibiotics no special guidance. They did absolutely NOTHING but make me more worried and charged me.I wouldnt ever recommended this place. Thumbs down
The female PA that works here is AMAZING! She really cares about her patients and she takes the time to listen to you. Highly recommend. Dont care for the male practitioner, he will make you wait, completely devalues your time or you As a patient for that matter. If it wasnt for him it would be 5 stars. When shes there you will not be waiting long at all. Love her!
Generally a nice place, providers are great but the only way you are going to get seen is by appointment. Been turned away several times and told to come back at a later time. I don’t live in town so doing this is not an economical option.
This urgent care has really upped its game over the last few years. Staff is great, online check in is easy and pretty user friendly, the place is clean, and Nicole is fantastic. I know I can depend on her to determine whats wrong and what the best treatment is.
My son is almost 18 and in between doctors for the next month. They are there for all patience no matter their age. There is hardly any wait time from the time you arrive to the time you see the NPA. They listen to all your concerns and try to address them to the best of their ability. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.
Have used this service to bring my granddaughters, daughter and partner in for immediate, but non-life threatening illnesses. The staff is exceptional in understanding and care. Wait time has never been more than 15 to 20 minutes in a comfortable waiting area with television and coffee available.Nursing staff triage patients quickly and ask sufficient questions to inform the doctor prior to seeing the patient. Rooms are clean and ready for the patient. Doctors are knowledgeable and treat each patient with dignity and respect. This particular location has been our number one location to take family members when an emergency room is not necessary. With a drug store located nearby, the convenience as well as a top notch staff makes this care center a prime place to receive treatment after doctors hours or for those who have non-life threatening illnesses.
One of my daughters went to Access medical Center and was over charged badly. We have been going here for year and just recently ran into a problem. Our Co-Pay is $35 at all minor emergency clinics. She was told that our deductible had not been met and she was charged at a rate of 15% of the total bill, $99.74 I had to get on a three way call with my insurance company and Access Medicals billing dept. so my insurance carrier could explain to them that minor emergency clinics DO NOT APPLY when it comes my family meeting deductibles. The billing dept. said the money would be refunded in 7-10 days. Its now been a month and nothing. Now I have to go through this mess again come Monday with my insurance and the billing dept.
I visited this center and received the WORST medical attention of my life (58 years)). Apparently a PAC walked in the room to see me. She never introduced herself and was very rude. I had 2 fairly routine complaints and approx 3 questions about these, she did not address anything but gave me 2 rx’s BEFORE the urine test was complete approx 5 min later. She then turned her back to me and never said a word left the room and never to be seen again. Horrific !My insurance was billed $ 310.00.I would like this posted on your website under reviews please. I read the reviews, they were all “glowing”. You need a healthy balance.
Fast, professional, and always caring and courteous. I don’t live in Norman anymore and have gone out of my way to drive to this location. I have had a good interaction with every employee I’ve encountered.
I love this place and the medical professionals! They are knowledgeable, kind, and hard working. I trust their judgment always.
Great care team, I felt heard and cared for the whole process. Will definitely be going back!
Went to be seen for an acute gout flare up. Could barely walk, couldve used a wheelchair. The PA was great and attentive, the receptionist acted like she was being bothered, the nurses were great.
9 out of 10 stars! Very friendly and great staff. Everyone was very polite, professional, and extremely helpful. Would ask please get chairs that clients feel comfortable in instead of ones with springs showing.
Everyone is so friendly and caring. Take time to answer questions. Very comfortable setting.
The people and procedure was good. Except for inability to check in by phone or internet. Made appt for drive-thru covid 19 test. Waited 45 minutes to get checked in and was then told I had to go in! Hadnt even dressed properly because I was told by internet it was drive-thru. Otherwise nice people.
Best Urgent Care I’ve been to. Professional, thorough and yet very friendly and laid-back atmosphere, calming atmosphere making the whole process so easy.
I will never go to this place again! Waste of time and money! Dont think they even know how to treat RA or even help me.
No matter how busy they got they were always Very nice and compassionate. And They were very busy the day that I came in with my son. I would recommend them to all that I know and those I dont know!
I came for a Covid test. They got me in and out quickly. I was having bad asthma at the time. They called me within an hour to say I was negative. Then 30 min later the Doctor herself called me to ask if she could put in a prescription for my asthma. Ive had asthma my whole life and have seen a lot of doctors for it. Something very special about this one.
Went in to get Covid tested cause I had a massive headache and felt sick. The lady named Nicole (Nikki) was my nurse and she was so friendly and patient with me. Would definitely recommend coming here ❤️
Went here a couple days ago, checked in online for the next day and was in and out in an hour. Front desk was kind and helpful, and the nurses and doctor were very clear and adressed both my concerns fast and effectively. Im from out of state but coming here was very comfortable for me. Will come again in the future if any medical issues arise!
Amazing experience, thank yall so much for helping me figure out whats going on
This is the only Urgent care I’ll go to in Norman they are timely and thorough. The docs are always great and look you in the eye and listen to your concerns. Love this as much as one can love an Urgent Care.
Went well. About a 30 minute wait when everyone is sick. Doctor was helpful and friendly. They didnt hold us up after the diagnosis.
I have been using Access Medical in Norman for years when I am not able to see my primary care provider. The staff is incredible! Everyone is pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. The care providers listen to me and truly care. I feel like a person and not a number; as most clinics make me feel. I highly recommend this urgent care clinic!
Do not come here! They will overcharge the insurance through the roof and you may end up paying more than if you had no insurance and just paid cash. I used to have no insurance and have gone to several urgent cares over the years, each time paid $100 for my visit. Got insurance recently, and came here to see about a cough. I paid $25 co-pay at the visit and then they charged the insurance an additional $300, about $78 of that was then passed to me. I know the total out of pocket was only about 3 dollars more, but it was strange that Im now paying more for an urgent care visit while having insurance. Looking at the bill in detail, this was because they charged me for a mod-hi (high risk) visit. And that is just ridiculous. I had a cough, no other symptoms. The PA saw me for less than 10 minutes. He came in, listened to me cough a couple times, said I had bronchitis, and sent me on my way with a prescription for cough suppressants. Said I just needed to let it run its course. Thats it. There was no tests, no special diagnosis, no warning that it was a high risk sickness, and cough went away after a week or so. I called the company several times and they said they would review the bill. After 2 month, they just send over exactly the same bill. Nothing changed. I recommend people not coming to this place because this practice of overcharging just because someone has insurance is completely unethical.
I took my friend here because she cut her finger, after waiting almost 1 and a half hours they finally saw us, then left us again for another 30 minutes. When the lady finally came back, she said she needed to numb the finger to assess the wound better, after numbing it and taking another 30 minutes she finally came to look at the wound and said the cut was too deep and the the finger might be deformed, she said she couldnt stitch it, then told us to go to the ER after charging us $145. We go to the ER and they tell us it is a mild cut and needed about 6 stitches. The guy who saw us at the ER said this urgent care had been sending people to them constantly even though the patients stuff could have been done at urgent care...
Only giving two stars because the doctor was very nice and helpful. On the other hand, when I was providing my information for my first (and only) visit they gave me the initial paperwork and asked what insurance I used and that was the end of the conversation (even asking the specific type of my insurance as well). Every other Urgent Care Ive been to has accepted my insurance so I never thought anything of it. Little did i know I would get a $120 bill in the mail 3 months later all for looking at my injury, giving me a shot, and prescribing ibuprofen. Since Im a young person in college I find it a little frustrating that they didnt give me any sort of word or warning that I would have to pay for my visit because they didnt accept my insurance. Seriously disappointed.
Nikki is an amazing PA is I believe what her position is. So caring and service is fast but thorough
Got there at 6:15 (8:00 closing) and they told me they were full. Walked an hour to get there because their website said 3 people in line and they couldn’t answer the phone when I called 7 times
Everytime Im there the staff is cool. They arent patronizing nor rude in any way. They get you in and get you out as fast as they can, permitting the staff on hand. Overall a great urgent care to visit, if needed.
I have been twice to this facility. I highly reccommemd them. Nicole Fedderds was very personable and thorough in her examination of me. The phlebotomist did blood work very efficiently. I await results of my blood work. She prescribed a five day low dose steroid (three hours ago,) and I am feeling better. Thank you Nicole and staff!!
The staff at Access Medical are always friendly and very respectful. They are always upbeat and positive. The waiting area and patient rooms are always clean and organized. They are great with kids and treat everyone like family.
This was the best experience I’ve had going to the Dr. All the staff was very friendly. They were attentive the testing and the questions ask were very thorough. I’m so glad I went to them.
After Walgreens couldnt do my covid test due to their system being down, I ended up walking into Access Urgent Care and was pleasantly surprised at how fast they were able to get me in line and taken care. Grateful for them.
We have used this clinic for 5 years for our urgent care needs and every experience has been plesent. The staff is on top of things. Its clean and comfortable setting. Thanks for all you do!
I was sent to your clinic in Norman on 12th Street on Friday, June 19th for a workmans comp injury to my right knee that happened earlier that afternoon. I was seeing Andrew Ngyugen, PAC around 2:45 pm. After receiving a very quick initial exam I was sent for an xray. After the xray, Dr. Nguygen, did not return to the room and instead stuck his head into the door after I asked for more clarification on my injury. I was given a knee brace that did not fit (too large) since they did not stock my size. As I was being checked out, I received paperwork for an MRI. I was told that the Imaging Center would reach out to me. While being checked out I expressed that I was very uncomfortable in the brace and the pain was worse with it. The young lady at the desk went to clarify and returned with the response that if it hurts to take it off or loosen the brace that was already too big for my leg and that it didnt matter since workmans comp would pay for it anyway. I also had to call back because I was given no instruction on what I should be doing or taking to help with pain and swelling. Again, the flippant response was to stay off of it. They did schedule me a follow up appointment for Thursday the 25th at the NW Expressway location at 11:00 am.Monday, the 22nd, I reached out to the Imaging Center that they had given me paperwork on to check on when I could schedule an appointment. I was then informed that they had no paperwork for me, Monday at 2:00pm when I was discharged Friday at 3:17 pm from Access. I called and spoke to Access again and after 20 very frustrating minutes of hold times and no answers I was transfer to Angie in your office. From what I gather she deals with the workmans comp issues and had not been sent the referral until I was on the phone with her. She called me back later Monday afternoon and sent in the paperwork for an MRI on Thursday night at 8:30 pm.Angie called again Thursday morning at 9:00 am that they wanted to reschedule my follow up to Friday the 26th so they would have the MRI results before my appointment and ensured me she would make sure they had the results. I arrived at the NW Expressway location (40 minutes from my home) at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm appointment. I was seen and put into a room. The Doctor (I do not have her name) came into the room and told me that the radiologist had not seen my MRI and there was nothing she could do today other than schedule an appointment for me on Monday the 29th. I even had a copy of the disk from the Imaging Center with me and gave it to them. I did request a brace that was the appropriate size and she did take care of that. So that means today I wasted nearly 3 hours to find out absolutely nothing other than getting a brace that fit one week after my injury.Mondays appointment will put it at 10 days post accident with still absolutely no diagnosis or information about my injury.I would like an explanation as to how this all went so very wrong and how it will be resolved for future customers. If I had not called multiple times would I still not have had an MRI and be waiting for some call that would never come? I have five stores of employees that I will never send to another one of your clinics again. I personally have visited this clinic before without an issue. I have no idea how the ball was dropped this much but it is just unacceptable. The really frustrating thing about all of this is, I just want to go back to work, I am not even paying for any of this out of pocket. I cannot imagine what my reaction would have been if I had been the one footing the bill for all of this. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed.
The most heartfelt ♥ care! Im so very impressed! Took the best absolute care of me when I came in today. Such a caring knowledgeable facility. Dr. Fetters is absolutely fantastic
