Very professional and caring staff. I am impressed with Dr. Clarks knowledge and skills as much as his superb bedside manners. Finally, I found a specialist in treating pelvic pain who can really help. I would highly recommend him to any patient who needs an expert in this field.

Carrie, the P.A. at Dr. Clarks office, is excellent! She is exceptionally knowledgable, very warm, and a nonjudgmental listener. She understands just what you are trying to convey, even about things you wouldnt normally discuss with anyone. Dr. Clark is the best doctor I have ever had in my life. I had a small procedure done Vaginoplasty and he had taken care of me and I felt no pain at all. He also was so educated and precise he knew what he was doing. I am so proud to have found a great doctor. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to getting my procedure done with him. His LVN and medical assistants were the best they all helped and made me feel comfortable. They close at 5 pm but my ride did not come until 5:45 pm and they were nice enough to continue taking care of me and making sure I was ok. I am so blessed to have great people around me.. My wifes Prolapse experience.Over two years ago, during a routine visit to her gynecologist, my wife discovered she had a prolapse condition (descent of pelvic organs from their regular positions into the vagina), and the doctor advised that inserting a pessary would be a conservative first step in managing the condition.After many months of using this method with several different-sized pessaries, her gynecologist suggested that she speak to Pelvic Organ Prolapse surgeons to determine if Reconstructive Surgery is a better way of resolving this issue.Living in southern California, she was lucky that there were several competent Pelvic Organ Prolapse surgeons.With the help of medical friends, we narrowed the list to three of the best surgeons in our area. After visiting these three and listening to their suggestions for solving her prolapse problem, she felt comfortable with Dr Clark. After his examination, he suggested that a conservative approach was to try a larger pessary to see if it would support her condition. Within a couple of months, she found that this did not work and decided that reconstructive surgery was necessary to return her to her pre-prolapse condition.During the visits to the three different prolapse surgeons, we discussed various surgical methods, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques, during the visits to the three different prolapse surgeons, including laparoscopic and robotic laparoscopic surgery. After talking to her medical friends, she determined that robotic surgery would be her best choice. Of these three very competent and skilled surgeons, she felt Dr Clark was the most skilled robotic surgeon because he performs several robotic laparoscopic surgeries weekly and has done this for several years. Once my wife decided, Dr. Clark and The Clark Center professionals explained the process. They prepared her to visit Hoag Hospital for her early morning surgery and overnight stay there. Also, provide detailed post-surgery information so that she can adjust her activities for a short recovery period and what she needs to do during the weeks following the surgery to ensure that her body heals properly.I am writing this review today, Thursday morning, the fourth day after her early Monday morning surgery. Using the over-the-counter pain medicine and one prescription non-opioid pain reliever, she has had no post-surgery pain. Dr. Clark is a master surgeon!Also, we want to give a shoutout to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, CA, and all the outstanding skilled professionals who took care of my wife during her post-surgery recovery period. They are second to none!Finally, Dr. Clark is one of Orange County, Californias best reconstructive pelvic floor robot-assisted surgeons. He is very professional and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and comforting. He provides adequate time for questions, listens respectfully to patient concerns, and communicates to meet patient needs. As you might guess from the previous, we highly recommend that you visit him to talk about any female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery problems you may have.

I had my first visit with Dr. Clark yesterday for my concern. Dr. Clark is AMAZING! I can tell you that this doctor DID NOT rush me, was very attentive to my concerns and did everything in his power to develop a treatment plan for me. I could not believe I was seeing a doctor who actually heard my cry (literally) and made me feel like a priority. I know he had other patients waiting, but Dr. Clark did not leave my room until we had a solution. The epitome of bedside manner. I drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to see this Specialist and will do it again in a heartbeat to get this level of care! Thats what vacation days from work are for. The front office and staff are genuinely friendly and attentive as well. 10s across the board!I am so pleased with Dr. Clarks office...I highly, highly recommend!

During my last visit to Dr Clarks office I was attended by Ana Jimenez and Carolina. I had some testing done before the upcoming surgery with Ana and she was very thorough explaining the procedure to get ready and answered all of my questions. I appreciated the fact that Ana took the time to explain it and put me at ease. The testing went very well and Im looking forward to speaking to Dr Clark before the surgical procedure. Dr Matthew Clark is phenomenal.! He has great knowledge he listens & gave me several options to help w my incontinence. His staff was wonderful as well. Ill never forget the day he gave me advice about our sons chest cough - at a time our son had been tested by a urologist for cancer. Dr Clark sugg he get tested for cancer which may have traveled to his chest or lungs (my mother had lung camcer:( Took him to a top urgent care- he had a chest infection.. Ten months ago I had prolapse surgery performed by Dr. Clark. I’m so happy I did, as it has changed my life. The surgery and recovery went smoothly. I feel great with a renewal of energy and can comfortably live my life once again. I didn’t realize how miserable I was until I felt good again! For two years I suffered from a painful chronic lesion that multiple doctors couldnt help heal, before landing with Dr. Clark and his staff. Dr. Clark is terrific!! I had an appointment at 9 and only waited a few minutes to be checked in. His skills are IMPRESSIVE! I no longer have issue with leakage, sleeping through the night, and pain. The surgery (at MemorialCare in Orange County) was also impressive. The hospital staff stayed with me and calmed me before the procedure. If you are looking for a UroGynecologist, look no further. Im 100% happy and could not ask for better treatment and medical skills.

UPDATE:I am fairly appalled at how I was treated during my follow up appointment. Tiffany provided such excellent care and was one of the few physicians to ever treat me as a real person. I arrived for my follow up appointment and waited 30 minutes to be seen. I answered several questions for the tech that were never addressed by the doctor, who when he came in, said he wanted to fire me as a patient, and that for future needs I should go to my primary or urgent care. He didnt follow up on the bloodwork requested by the former physician, or address concerns I raised with the tech before he came in. Honestly it seemed like he wanted to get rid of me as quickly as possible. I would never recommend anyone see Dr. Clark.My appointment was with Tiffany and I was so happy with howwell I was treated and how quickly my concerns were addressed. Tiffany explained so much to me about the condition I am dealing with, outlined a plan of action and next steps, and made sure I understood everything I am supposed to do. The patient care at the Clark Center is so wonderful, I highly recommend. 10/10Update to add after my first in-office visit. I walked out feeling like that was the best healthcare visit Ive ever had. I felt like I was heard, that Tiffany listened to what was going on with me and genuinely wanted to address my issues, put my mind at ease, and provide interim solutions while we address a larger problem. Everything was explained to me in detail, I was given a lot of information and resources, and every person I interacted with was friendly and helpful.

Dr Clark was wonderful in explaning the process of my surgery and made me feel like I was in good hands. Surgery went well and I am on my way to recovery.

This place is great, I saw my doctor the next day I called. Got my medicine and I am in the way to feeling well.

Never have to wait for appt and I was out on less than 20 minutes. Love the staff!

Dr Clark and his staff were so warm, friendly, and welcoming. Dr Clark himself, was also very knowledgeable and presented me with a bunch of different options instead of just trying to push one option on me. He offered a staged approach starting very minimally invasive to the more extreme. I was very grateful to have all the time that he and his staff spent with me and I appreciate being offered ALL options as opposed to them saying, this is what you have to do as thats the doctors choice. His front office made me feel welcome the minute I walked in and his assistant was just like a Disney Princess. So sweet and adorable. As far as having to go to the doctor, it was the best experience it could be.

The doctor was nice, the office staff was also nice? However i was due a refund, due to the sola machine was not working, i had to drive 1hr away each time. Also the treatment did not work for me, i called múltiple times regarding my refund. And was told The office manager (Shannon S).Will call me back. I call each day for 2 weeks. AND was told, she is in and out of the office and she Will call me back, i call today and was told the same, verey dissapointed.

The office staff are caring, cheerful, give you eye contact (which I find unusual today) and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and well informed. Dr. Clark is practical and instills confidence.

Dr. Matthew Clark performed a needed surgery six months ago. Unlike other doctors I saw he did not push an expensive laser treatment not covered by insurance. Instead, he gave me all options, explained everything in amazing detail and let me choose. Surgery went very well, and I am very pleased with the results. He and his staff are kind, very bright, and really know what they are doing.

Dr Clark is an amazing doctor along with his staff. I had surgery one year ago and it was the best thing I ever did. It was the simplest surgery to go through and the recovery was a breeze. I would recommend him 100%.

Dr. Clark listens to all of my concerns and gives complete information and explanations to the solutions that are needed. He takes his time during the visit and does not rush me out before I am satisfied with what my options are,

I did not have a good experience. First of all Dr. Clarks only answer is surgery, he may be a good surgeon, but he didnt even discuss possible options. He just wanted to perform major surgery for uterine prolapse. When the PA suggested I try a simple device called a pessary, it relieved all my symptoms without surgery. I guess recommending a simple solution alternative to surgery is beneath him and wont pay for Newport Beach address. When I got a UTI while traveling east, I called Dr. Clarks office to have a prescription for an antibiotic called into the pharmacy. The office staff refused to call in the prescription until they leave the office at 5 PM which was after the pharmacy on the east coast closes. After three phone calls and being on hold for over 20 minutes each time, I was told no one had time to call in a prescription. Hence I had to get in touch with another doctor who called in a prescription in 10 minutes. Needless to say, Dr. Clark did not take care of my best interests and I can not recommend.

I had some complications w my bladder following a catheter irritation after a long nose surgery. Dr Clark’s office squeezed me in right before Christmas. Most importantly, he made me feel comfortable by taking my sensitive issues seriously. He is an excellent listener. He was able to resolve my issues with specific instructions and some over the counter remedies. He has many qualified staff, his procedures were all very professional. Having problems below the belt is frustrating, getting older doesn’t mean a life sentence of discomfort. Dr Clark can help.

A couple of days before my surgery I was presented with a document stating that I will be responsible for $10,642 if my insurance didn’t pay. If I didn’t agree my surgery will have to be canceled and I will have to pay $250 cancellation fees. At that point I had met my deductible and was $641 away from meeting my total max out of pocket. My insurance advised me that I should not have to sign such document for the doctor was in network. Then found out that what the doctor was pushing for, robotics assisted surgery, was not covered by my insurance and so that is why they were trying to make me sign such document. I kept asking for a laparoscopic procedure but the doctor claimed robotics is easier for him. Since I didn’t sign, my surgery had to be canceled and I was charged $250 plus other expenses I incurred to prepare for the surgery. Extremely dishonest clinic. I should have been presented with such document from the beginning so that I could have made an informed decision on a timely manner instead of wasting time and money to prepare for the surgery.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Clark. Amazing surgeon, he did not miss his calling! The staff is very sweet and caring and supportive. Couldn’t be happier with my results!

I just left the Clark center office and am now sitting in the car with tears pouring down my face. I feel so beyond disheartened with my experience especially when I had been looking forward to it so much. I was told to come in at 10:30 to fill out paperwork for my 11:00 appointment and was sent an email with the link. I logged into the email and created my online account but no documents were there. I left with 15 minutes extra padding to get there by 10:30 but I live 1 hr 15 min away and got stuck in an accident on my way. I got to the center at 10:45 (15 minutes before my scheduled time) where the front desk told me I’d have to reschedule because I wasn’t there early enough to fill out all the paperwork required and didn’t do it online. I showed them I didn’t have any forms in my account (their fault for not sending them). The lady told me to sit down and she would check then ignored me during the next 15 minutes without giving me the forms. The assistant came out and said she couldn’t see me because the forms weren’t complete. I had been sitting there for 15 MINUTES without them giving me papers!!!! She said there are a lot of papers and I needed time. I asked why they weren’t emailed to me then? If they had told me when creating the appointment that if I wasn’t there by 10:30 my appointment would be cancelled then I would have slept out front with the transients to be ready but they just told me a genetic come early to fill in paperwork. I got babysitters, planned ahead, and WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS APPOINTMENT SO MUCH TO GET ANSWERS AND HELP and to be turned away so callously was a huge slap in the face and I feel so defeated.

I am 62 years of age and 6 months ago I had a robotic vaginal hysterectomy with sacrocolpopexy. Dr. Clark is not only empathetic and caring but a surgical wizard! My surgery went very well as did my recovery. I have zero prolapse and had no complications what so ever. Everything is functioning top notch. I highly recommend him. I am so happy with my outcome!

After giving birth to six, large babies, it is not an exaggeration to say that my body has taken some very severe hits. Incontinence, stretched body parts, inability to void completely, discomfort throughout the day and night, and general self consciousness for my appearance, all comprised the collateral damage left by pregnancy and the births of my children. I thought that I just had to accept my stripes and deal with this new normal—hoping for the best when I coughed, sneezed or laughed, saying no to running or jump ropes during work outs, and explaining why I looked the way I did. After some gentle persuasion from my beloved OB, I saw Dr. Matthew Clark and it has changed my life. Though not a comfortable topic to discuss, I never felt humiliated or embarrassed by him or his incredible office staff. Lauren was particularly wonderful at putting me at ease during every visit and sensitive pre op test. Dr. Clark was professional, gave suggestions for what could be done (more than I had ever dreamed possible), opened my mind to the possibility of how my body could function, and worked with my busy schedule to find the optimum time to have this major surgery. I can’t give him higher praise! Seven months out and I remain happy! After examining me on my yearly exam, my OB stated that I looked like I hadnt delivered any babies. As a 44 year old woman, I feel rejuvenated and back to my younger self; I feel like Im 22 again! While surgery on my bladder and all attendant lady bits is not on the top of my list of amusing activities, and I was terrified to have this surgery, Dr. Clark made it as comfortable as possible; his expertise and surgical skill are incredible. He was always available and on call to help me. I cannot recommend him more highly! Thank you, Dr. Clark!

I think they must no longer be in business because I tried to contact them back in November/December about new symptoms, left voicemails (they don’t answer the phones) and emailed and it’s been six months with no response. I have tried again thanks to having more questions and concerns about managing my illness and I still haven’t heard back. I’m really disappointed because Dr Clark was knowledgeable and I paid $500 just to get established as a patient. It’s very costly when you have auto immune issues to get established somewhere new. Very strange.

Not sure what to expect as I had never even heard of this type of doctor before. Everyone was so kind and receptive, I was able to ask my most embarrassing questions without feeling awkward or uncomfortable. The staff here are so professional and I finally feel like I have answers and a path to rocovery.

I was diagnosed with a massive uterine fibroid (~4 lbs) that required a hysterectomy. The first doctor I went to was not confident the hysterectomy could be accomplished laparoscopic-ally which is much less invasive, and recommended the open procedure.It was then that I sought ought Dr. Clark, who impressed me after describing in detail exactly how he would perform the laparoscopic surgery, with the confidence and command of a true expert in the field. I am so grateful I found him, and couldnt be happier with the result. The surgery was minimally invasive as promised; I was fully recovered from the surgery inside of 4 weeks with minimal incisions and scarring. I highly recommend Dr. Clark.

UHC gave approval to see Mathew Clark. This was a special approval by UHC and the office manager and receptionist refused to make the appointment. Sad that healthcare is all about money. I have been in healthcare for 20 years, THE OFFICE WOULD HAVE BEEN PAID. Disgusting that this happens when patients need help.
