Unfortunately, I would never recommend this practice to anyone. I have been a patient here since August 2023, it is now 2 days before June 2024, and I am still in the same position I was in on Day 1 starting as a patient. So almost a year later and no one has been able to help me with my female medical issues. The only thing that has changed, is Im out hundreds, if not thousands of dollars trying to receive help.So the practice is now more financially better off, but I am still struggling.I cant say negative things about the woman who work there, they are just there to do a job like the rest of us. Its not their fault the practice is ran so poorly and that the doctors are truly practicing medicine. They are practicing because they just dont know. I appreciate the front and nurse employees so this is not directed toward them. However, the practice manager, Kim Baher seems to be a piece of work. The women who work there probably struggle because the practice is ran so poorly. I feel bad for them. When I waited 50 minutes to be seen for my most recent appointment and had to get back to work, I didnt take it out on the staff, again, its not their fault. However, I did ask for Kims number, Practice Manager and when we connected, Kim was rude to me, uncaring, excuse prone and just all around kind of hateful. She didnt care that I have been struggling and that I was in for an appointment today because I have been bleeding for 8 weeks straight. She didnt care. I have had MULTIPLE appointments since joining as a patient in August 2023, and every time, there is always an issue in the office so I am assuming its just a poorly ran practice.Im disappointed with having no change in my own situation so I am hoping my review helps someone else so they dont have to suffer like I have. I wish the staff all the best and I guess I will find another facility to try and help me.
Went to her for years and trusted her. Until I had problems. She did not do anything when my period started getting irregular and when my hair started falling out. A ton of other symptoms as well. I was just told it’s normal irregularities. Symptoms kept getting worse and again she did nothing about it. I trusted her. Didn’t go for a second opinion. She did the minimum work to see what was wrong. I went through years of hell until I got a second opinion, and it was taken care of immediately and my second opinion apologized for her because of how bad my situation was. I can’t believe the lack of concern for a client that had been there so long.
The nurses here are outstanding. I never wait a long time in here. They are so kind and attentive. On my first visit the nurse sat with meFor almost an hour to discuss plans for my treatment and checked in to ensure i was Comfortable with everything. They are outstanding
Updating my subjective review because I just found out today (September 23rd) that my yearly physical benefit was used at this practice without my knowledge. I went in back in January for my yearly Pap smear and did not get any comprehensive bloodwork (no CBC, no lipid panel, no extensive bloodwork, no reflex check of my muscles, no immunizations offered (and I actually asked for the HPV vaccine and they said they didn’t offer it). I went to get my yearly physical last month at my regular doctor because I had not had a physical yet this year. Today I got the EOB from BCBS and I was beyond shocked because they didn’t cover any of my physical from last month which was beyond concerned and I was shocked! I immediately called BCBS and asked them why my physical wasn’t covered last month and they said I already had my physical for the year back in January. I told them I never had a physical in January and I was totally confused. They searched and searched and finally pulled up the claim from this office and they coded my Pap smear as a yearly physical!! I told BCBS I never had a physical with this office and in fact I never even received a lipid panel, vitamin D levels, cholesterol, nothing from this office other than basic Pap smear and STD testing that I get yearly at all other GYNs that I’ve ever been to living in other cities. BCBS was also confused why it was coded that way and told me to call them to get them to recode it because it should not have been coded that way. When I called, they told me they could not recode it. I am beyond upset and sad about this. I had no clue that my yearly physical benefit was being used during a basic Pap smear! I would have never gone to this place for a Pap smear if I knew they used up my physical benefit as well because the other GYN I went to at MMC didn’t do that at all. So now I’m stuck with a $500 bill from my general doctor because this place used up my physical benefit even though I didn’t get an actual physical, no extensive bloodwork with my red blood count, white blood count, cholesterol or anything was taken. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m so disappointed about this and it’s causing mental distress because it’s not fair I have to pay a $500 bill because they used up my physical benefit without conducting a physical on me and they didn’t tell me they would use my physical benefit. BCBS also notated in their system that the supervisor at this office reiterated that she would not recode the visit even though I was not told they would be using my physical benefit for the year during a basic Pap smear appointment! I’ve never seen a doctor’s office do this in my whole life.Dr. Puckett is the absolute BEST! I recently moved from Washington, DC and I have been searching for a great quality gynecologist. I HAVE FOUND JUST THAT! Dr. Puckett is extremely attentive with a great personality. I learned an immense amount of info during my visit that no other gyno ever told me. She is amicable and very knowledgeable. I am so glad to call her my doctor.
I went in for my first ever gynecologist appointment today experiencing some pain & looking to get a pap smear as well. the lady at the front desk told me i couldn’t get both a pap smear & address the complications in the same appointment, but once i got back into the room i was pleasantly surprised that they ended up being able to do everything at once. dr puckett was absolutely phenomenal & explained everything she was going to do before she did it. her nurse lexi (so sorry if i spelled your name wrong!) was also extremely kind & professional. they also have in-house ultrasounds in the event that you end up needing one (i did). the ultrasound tech who worked with me was super sweet & informed me on everything that she was going to do before doing my ultrasound. the phlebotomist was amazing & i didn’t even feel her stick me when i had my blood drawn. nothing but amazing things to say about everyone in the office & i will definitely continue going to dr. puckett.
Been a patient of Laurens & most recently Dr. Puckett- at 50 yr old Im asking for hormones - Dr. Puckett & Lauren, NP refuse to really even ask my signs/symptoms - only checking hormone levels which as we know fluctuate wildly in peri-menopause & if still showing within normal limits in other words not just totally tanked out - They WILL NOT Rx estrogen - good luck ladies keep searching if you need a provider that listens to you & offers help - this is NOT the practice - I may have to resort to online- no insurance takers that are willing to listen & help women. Do your research ladies! Estrogen is protective (if right for you) and wont do much for you once you have osteoporosis, heart disease, etc.
I have been seeing NP Lauren for about 4 years now and have had no issues whatsoever. They require me to get an annual check up in order to my birth control refilled, but thats fine with me. Everyone has been very nice and professional. I have nothing but good things to say about this office!
Feeling compelled to write this review after leaving my check up this morning…I have been a patient with Dr. Puckett for going on 7 years now. There is no one else I will go to or even feel comfortable going to because of my repeated positive experiences at this practice! (even now that i am living 45 minutes away in East Nashville, i will still make the trip) I have not had one single negative impression during my many visits over the years. Dr. Puckett, NP Lauren Campbell, and the entire team have always treated me kindly, without judgement, and with the highest care. I trust these women with everything!
Went just for a prescription of birth control because we moved and were living abroad. I waited more than 1 hour and the personal is rude and after explaining to the doctor Puckett the kind of birth control I wanted (bring the box), she gave me a completely different and I had to pay 121.16$ while I needed to pay only my copay of 25$. I tried to explain that I usualyy pay only the copay and dindt want to pay 121.16$ but the secretary was so rude that I gave up. I needed more than 2 months for regularize the situation with my insurance and Ive never returned over there. Unqualified people and nasty people, it is not acceptable
I have been going to Dr. Puckett for couple years now and I love her! When I first started going for just pap smear I used to see lauren the nurse practitioner and she is wonderful. When they found out I had a fibroid they started to schedule me with doctor Puckett. She is the most caring doctor I have met. She gives you all the time you need to understand and no rush. The staff is very nice too. When I call her nurse with a concern she comes back to me right away with what to do or schedule me a last minute appointment that day. I highly recommend Dr. Puckett to everyone. She is awesome as well as lauren.
Dr. Puckett and NP Lauren are incredible providers. They have given me excellent care and always have a reassuring bedside manner. Not only can I almost always get an appointment either same day or next business day... but every single person in the office is kind, welcoming, and makes taking time out of the day to come in for a doctors appointment pleasant. Right down to always being able to recognize the courteous voice of Kelsey when she answers the phone... I would recommend this office to any woman seeking gynecological care.
The only reason there’s even two stars is because the nurse I spoke with last time and the woman who took my blood last time were super friendly and professional but unfortunately I’ve been here twice and the experience is an inconvenience every time. It seems like they over book people because you’re never seen at your appointment time. The first time I came I wasn’t seen until almost an hour after my appointment, the doctor basically said it was as if she forgot I was sitting back there waiting to be seen. Also the blonde girl at the front window doesn’t have the best attitude at all. My mom also had a bad experience with her attitude as well. It’s an entire NO for me.
I looked up Dr. Pucketts info to pass on to someone as a recommendation. Therefore, I decided to leave a review. Dr. Puckett delivered my youngest child in 2003. Since then, she has been my only GYN doctor. She is so considerate and caring. She takes time with each person and makes you feel at ease to discuss everything concerning your health. I would certainly recommend Dr. Puckett.
Love this office and their staff. The patient advocacy is incredible and the level of care Ive received is top notch!
Ive been coming to the practice for a couple years now. The staff & nurses are wonderful (especially Tenisha!) and Ive enjoyed meeting with the nurse practitioner. Today I met with Karen Puckett herself, and she is wonderful. She truly listens, and finds a solution that is customized to your needs. She is positive & supportive and left me feeling much more confident in myself than when I arrived.
Very friendly staff! My questions are always answered in a timely manner. I love seeing either Dr. Puckett or NP Lauren. I have been going to Dr. Pucketts office for about 4 years and refer everyone here! I feel I am heard and understood here. Dr. Puckett and Lauren are wonderful ladies along with all other staff in this office. I cannot say enough how amazing this office is and how much I have enjoyed actually going to the doctor over the last 4 years.
I have been disappointed by this clinic for abit. Doctor is amazing!...its the office. Last year, I have been told I couldnt get any birth control refill until come to appt (work as teacher and was unable to go until 2 months later), force to go cold turkey on my birth control. And when I got there and asked why I was off my birth control I told them what I was told. They tell me on no, they not suppose to do that.Last straw was when I got insurance changed I called to ask if they took my new insurance. They said yes. I get to my appt (took off both jobs to go) and they say oh the person we schedule you doesnt take your insurance. You need to reschedule.I rescheduled and 2 weeks later back in office today. Waited a hour for them to tell me they dont take this insurance. I shared my disappointment that they didnt look more into this two weeks ago when they first saw an issue. I got told we are sorry and it an honest mistake. I have heard its a honest mistake too many times from them. With my birth control and now this. Even if my insurance changes back to use them....I dont believe I will.Dr. Puckett is amazing and kind though. That only reason not going down to 1 star
I had an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner Lauren today for an IUD removal, and she was wonderful!!!! This was my first time here at this office, as I moved to the area recently. She was very empathetic and gentle. She did not rush me and listened to all of my problems and concerns I’ve had with the IUD and why I was getting it removed. She talk me through each step of the removal procedure and made me feel very involved. Office staff was also very kind!Highly recommend!!
I can’t say enough positive things about this clinic. Dr. Puckett is the first doctor to take action toward performing the diagnostic surgery I’d been wanting after trying multiple different forms of birth control that weren’t making enough of a difference with my endometriosis. She took my concerns seriously and empathized with my situation, prescribed me pain medication, new birth control, and a treatment plan for pain management.Every staff member, nurse, and nurse practitioner I’ve worked with has been absolutely wonderful and make every visit as quick and thorough as possible.I go in regularly for follow ups and Im always helped when I’ve called with questions or concerns. I’ve felt very supported and heard through the process, and I’m very grateful that someone recommended this place to me.
I have been a patient of Dr. Puckett for 6 years. The women of this office are incredibly caring and make me feel comfortable anytime I have an appointment. I primarily see Lauren, the nurse practitioner and also speak to Stephanie over the phone anytime I have questions. I will continue to use them as long as I live in Murfreesboro and would recommend them to everyone.
Dr. Puckett and her NP are AMAZING. Both are so kind and make each visit personal. They take their time in answering questions and addressing concerns that I have as a patient. Lauren and a nurse, which I believe was Stephanie, were willing to stay after hours one day because of an urgent ultrasound that I needed. They stayed after closing to get the result and give it back to me. This was over a year ago and that type of service, especially from high level providers, meant so much to me and thats why I have decided to make Dr. Puckett my doctor for life (or at least until she stops practicing or taking my insurance!)
I want to tell everyone, how professional and friendly Dr. Karen Puckett and her entire staff is. They work so well together as a team. Each time I go they always make me feel calm and relaxed. Before procedures they explain what is going to happen and afterwards they listen to your concerns and work together to solve the problem.I highly recommend Dr Karen Puckett .
I have lived in Murfreesboro for over 20 years and had established a patient history with a great doctor in Nashville but recently decided I didnt want to drive to Nashville any more. Plus my doctor there always has long waiting times, office is older and dirty, and always cold. My last visit two of the nurses had PINK hair.... I dont have anything against pink hair but in a Dr. Office?? My first visit with Dr. Puckett and her staff was so EASY!! It was easy to get an appt. And get all my records sent to her. I ddnt have to drive through Nashville traffic and didnt have to valet park my car. I pulled right up to the door. 😊 The office staff was friendly and professional. ( no pink hair) The office was clean and inviting. I felt welcomed and was very comfortable. Dr. Puckett and her nurse practice were kind and personable and took time to listen to me and my concerns. I dont know Dr. Puckett beyond my first visit but I felt confident she could take care of me and my future health needs. I would certainly recommend her to anyone needing a gynecologist.
I am young with a very complicated medical history and enough medical knowledge to know quality when I see it. Most doctors I see on the first visit have a very passive approach to my medical concerns. I often leave feeling written off and that my concerns were not taken seriously. I went in for a routine annual with a few concerns and had an excellent experience. I was scheduled for diagnostics within the week, everyone was compassionate about my symptoms and the affect it was having on my life. I left knowing what I would expect to pay for my diagnostics and feeling empowered to pursue a diagnosis. I spent 3 hours at my diagnostic visit because they found suspicious markers and wanted to ensure they had quality diagnostic imaging to send with my referral. I am almost certain people skipped lunch breaks to provide my care during the 3 hour visit. I sincerely appreciate this refreshing experience!
Ive been coming here for about 3 years now. Very clean, and friendly office. Ive been seeing NP Lauren and she is fantastic. She answers all of my questions, and makes me feel comfortable. The whole office staff is wonderful. Office has a relaxed setting. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Lauren and staff!
I seen Dr. Puckett 2 years ago for an emergency appointment when I found lumps in my breast, she was very good about getting me in and getting me an ultra sound to take a look at things. That was the only time I have actually seen Dr. Puckett. Since then I have seen Lauren the NP and Im not satisfied with the way things have gone recently. In the beginning of August I called because I was having pain in my pelvis and they got me in asap to have it looked at and for my annual..great! I was sent for a CT and then referred to a general surgeon because they saw something on my appendix. I saw the surgeon and he told me that it was fine but I needed to get checked out again but by Dr. Puckett...not the nurse practitioner for something else that my symptoms were showing. I called Dr Pucketts office and spoke with Lauren about what he said and that I needed to come back. Instead of getting me in asap like they did for the first time it was put off for a month. I get it shes busy, but if Im having pain and discomfort I would like to get answers asap. Aside from that, my birth control was supposed to be refilled with a year supply until I go back for my annual and it was never sent to my pharmacy which I didnt know until I called the pharmacy the day of needing to take it to ask if it was ready to pick up and they never received anything from my doctor. There is no way to get in contact with the doctor or nurse practitioner to have it filled and thats not my fault it didnt get filled. Now I have to miss two pills because of the holiday weekend because of their mistake. The answering service is no help at all, they said I can leave a message but they wont get it until they open.. no help there. And lastly the lady at the front desk is not very friendly at all it shows that she doesnt enjoy her job so I always avoid calling the front desk so I dont have to speak with her and I call the nurses phone but they dont actually answer the phone and its a constant game of phone tag to ever get to speak with someone. I had them return my call twice after hours and they told me to call them back but I am unable to call back because they called after hours. I missed their calls by minutes both times and had to wait until next day to just leave another message to get another call back. Dr Puckett was great if I actually got to see her but its not worth the stress anymore to go back and not get any answers.
I have really bad anxiety, especially about any kind of doctor visit, this kind of visit is particularly uncomfortable as most women can relate. I procrastinate on these kinds of encounters, but Ive been really good to myself and keeping my condition in order. Dr. Puckett diagnosed me some years ago, and I took it very seriously. She didnt make me feel bad about being in the position that Im in, she made me feel amazing actually, and thats why I took charge. Im writing such a long intimate review, because after leaving her office today I feel better than I have in a while. I will make a serious devotion to coming back in as much as needed. Her staff was very welcoming and sweet, a lot of the reviews complain about getting in for an appointment, congratulate her on her business dont complain because you expected a last minute appointment. We all have jobs and/or busy schedules.
Dr. Puckett is great and her staff is super nice. The two reasons why Im not giving it 5 stars is: 1. Its difficult to get in for something other than an annual checkup. She stays pretty booked so if something comes up that needs to be addressed quickly, its pretty hard to get in. 2. This is indirectly related to Dr. Puckett, but the answering service she uses when the office is closed is terrible. I always get the same woman who is very short and rude and acts like shes annoyed that you called.Other than that, its a great place to go!
Ive been a patient to Dr. Kim Scott for 10 years I guess. I first saw her when she was in Franklin. She always took her time to answer any questions and always seemed caring. If I called about anything she would get me in to be seen quickly. I loved her so much Im now seeing her in murfreesboro. I drive 1 hour because I dont trust anyone else.
I have only gone twice, and… 10/10 would 100% recommend. my best friend recommended me to dr puckett and dr scott, and im very glad i went. Did not feel written off, and they are not robots like the rest.. just ready to get their money and you out of the office. i feel welcomed, and listened to. felt like family walking in. very appreciated 💖
I have always received excellent care at this office! Dr Pucket and her NP Lauren are the best! This office provides a very comfortable setting. Highly recommend.
Karen and all of her nurses were always so wonderful to me. Karen was so wonderful with treating my infertility and referring me to Nashville fertility. Forever grateful to her.
The staff is just “there.” They do not talk to you about what is going on. They do not talk to you about how to help you. And they do not follow up unless you call them back then you have to tell them what your results said. And I say “they”, because I never saw Dr. Puckett and a rude nurse that knew nothing spoke with me about my results from the ultrasound. Don’t waste your time or money on this doctor’s office. Now I have to start over and find an obgyn with a little more of what I am looking for.
Loved Dr. Puckett!! She was very kind, caring, attentive to detail and listened!! The nurse and staff were kind as well!!
In Sept 2017 I went for my 2nd annual ckup at this office. The 1st visit had not been great, as the person I actually saw was the NP, Lauren, who was not good at communicating what she & Dr.s protocols were going to be. After the appt, I ended up having to badger the office to send my HRT renewals to my pharmacy (they refused to send them until after I had my mammogram, but did not inform me of this at the time). Since I was new to the area, having just transferred to TN from a large northern metro area, & was also recovering from an unrelated surgery at the time, I just chalked it up to a difference in culture. So on this 2nd appt, I actually saw the Dr. for the 1st time. I was promptly taken to the examining room, but then spent an inordinate amount of time waiting for the Dr. to come in. When she finally did (with no apologies), I was politely & courteously examined, and we then spent a fair amount of time discussing changing my HRT medication to a slightly different formulation. At NO time was it ever suggested that the new medication would not be prescribed. She wanted me to take the normal mamogram + another test, to rule out any problems. Again, no mention that the tests had to be performed & results analyzed before RX would be approved. I made it clear in the office that I would ONLY take the tests in order to have a new prescription for HRT medication written.I took the tests; the results were not negative, but the RX was not called in, nor did the Dr. contact me. I then contacted the office to see what was up, & was told by a NURSE that the Dr. would not be writing ANY Rx for me. At all. This lack of communication was insulting, and the message I did finally receive was shocking. I was angry & upset at this, & expressed that to the nurse. She then offered to make me an appt to talk to the Dr.; the appt made was for 3 days later. However, she called back about an hour later and said that the Dr. couldnt see me until 3 1/2 wks from then. Really. 3 1/2 wks for something that could easily be discussed on the phone.I made the appt, but then decided at the last minute not to go; what would be the point? When I emailed the Dr. to let her know of the cancellation & the reason for it, her response was essentially to tell me that HRT was a dangerous thing, & that they would be happy to transfer my records to another Dr if I wanted to. Really. Well, maybe that would be a good idea. I may be confused, but I thought that Dr.s were actually supposed to care about their patients well-being. I most definitely thought that this was not the case with Dr. Karen Pucket.Next time, Id like to find one who cares about the whole person and their quality of life. By refusing to re-issue my Rx for HRT meds, she effectively cut me off cold-turkey from medication that I needed to function well daily. A common-sense/ more humanitarian approach would have been to perhaps scale down dosage, to give my body a chance to adjust. Because this wasnt done, or an alternative even suggested, I was left feeling very uncared for and scared. Some people may enjoy all the symptoms that HRT eliminates; Im not one of them.
Dr. Karen Puckett is a great doctor. Her care and concern for her patients is outstanding and warm. Her beside manners are amazing as well. She is knowledgeable and will take care of you.
I am a new patient to Dr. Puckett. She is great and so is her staff. Professional and compassionate. And I must add: excellent bedside manner. . Dr. Puckett is a physician I recommend
I called Dr. Pucketts office in tears after over a year of acute chronic pelvic pain, several dr visits (including ER and a urologist) and no help from my GYN (who Id been seeing for about ten years) at MMC. She kept telling me to go see a gastro! Anyway, Dr. Puckett performed a diagnostic laparoscopy and removed a (benign) tumor that was twisted in a Fallopian tube! My life has been better ever since. I nearly cried when I could bend over with no pain at all. I wish I wouldve called Dr. Puckett sooner. She WILL listen to you. She does stay booked, however, but there is a reason for that.
I like coming to this office but I’m noticing that all they do is figure out ways to charge you. I’ve been having some serious issues such as bleeding for months and all they want to do is draw blood and have me keep coming back to get more bloodwork done. I’ve been bleeding for almost 3 months with no relief. I’m very frustrated and disappointed in them. I want relief not for you to keep taking my money and not fixing my concern. Very disappointed
Sent my wife to this doctor thinking she was one of the best due to excellent ratings for the most part! Quickly found out just how wrong ratings are as this doctor is out for nothing but extra money! Warning to the wise if you do not have an arm and a leg to spend for extra test that other doctors have said are not needed do not go to this doctor!
Medical and clerical staff are very friendly, I didnt have to wait very long before I was called back to see Dr. Puckett, and the visit overall was incredibly pleasant (which is what you need with an OBGYN visit!!) They also have spa music playing as well as coffee, tea, and snacks.
Everyone is nice and friendly in this office. Always made me feel comfortable and they take care of me instantly when I have my appointment booked and I’m done really fast !
Been going for years now. Shes through and cares about your well-being. The best in my book.
Dr. Puckett and her staff were amazing! It was my first time and they really eased my anxiety and helped me with a problem really quickly!
Ive been going to Dr. Puckett for years. I moved to Chattanooga several years ago and still drive to Murfreesboro to see her. Shes great!!
Believed me instantly when I brought up PCOS, and had me diagnosed within a week when other doctors never believed me.
Never been there, but was on hold forever and the receptionist was incredibly rude, no help, and acted like I was stupid. This rating is not a reflection of the Doctor as I wouldnt know.
They were so kind and friendly. I couldnt have found a better Doctor.
I’ve been coming here for years and absolutely love the care I get from NP Lauren!
Love seeing Lauren, the nurse practitioner, and their great staff!!!
Love Dr Puckett! Love the new office! Love the staff!
Shes the best! Patient for 10+ years.
Karen is a great gynocolgist with a wonderful disposition.
Dr Puckett and her NP are great.
Made me feel at ease and comfortable.
Very friendly staff and clean office.
Highly recommend Dr Puckett
