AFC Urgent Care Methuen

I had a great experience at urgent care yesterday. Although I had an appointment, the wait was a little longer because it was busy, but I didn’t mind. The receptionist was super nice and helpful, setting a positive tone right away. Once I was called into a room, everything happened quickly. From the medical assistant to the nurse practitioner, everyone was incredibly kind, informative, and thorough. All of my questions were answered, and I left feeling confident with the information, diagnosis, and plan I was given. Thank you for such excellent care!

I’m updating my review to 4 stars, as the overall process seems efficient. However, I did ask the secretary twice about the timeline and was only told to expect a call or email. It would have been helpful if she had clarified that the results could take 7-10 days after the initial tests are completed. Clearer communication would greatly improve the experience.As a patient at AFC Urgent Care Methuen, I visited for migration purposes. They took my Son in Law blood work and said they would call or email regarding the next steps. That was on Saturday; today is Wednesday, and I am still waiting for any updates.The reception staff didn’t seem very welcoming, which is disappointing as other urgent care centers usually make you feel at home. So far, my experience has not been great.When I called to follow up, I was informed they wouldn’t contact me until the results were back. While I understand the process, better communication and client care would go a long way in improving the overall experience.I don’t like giving 1-star reviews because I believe nobody is that bad. This review is to get the attention of the staff, but I feel they are more of a 3-star for now, with the potential to improve into a 5-star service. I hope to see better communication and care moving forward!

It was helpful to do all the paperwork online. The process was quick and I got there on time. My only where we was at the Actual visit with the doctor was very quick! I would have liked to speak to him a little longer!

I had the best experience with this clinic, I was very surprised to see how easy it was to schedule a consultation visit within minutes to get an appointment. Arriving at the clinic the staff was very knowledgeable and professional, the Nurse Practitioner was very knowledgeable about what was going with my health condition she went on through details to explain it to me so I can understand, she was courteous and professional. I recommend everyone in Methuen to visit this urgent care if they cannot get an appointment at their Physician.

I Have been to urgent care many times over this holiday break for both my son and I .. Everyone knows when your sick it takes everything in your body to even sit and wait...Today and a few other times there has been a few nurses that just didnt sit there ,take the notes and walk out and it is only a selected few. I want to take this second especially with the New Year underway to give a shout out to a nurse by the name of Megan. My son had an elf on the shelf with him and she took the time to make sure the elf was gonna be in great health so my son didnt get nervous. As a mom out there ok you feel this same way especially when you feel helpless when your child is sick... She actually was the only one to literally have eye contact and not just take the information and say doctor will be in soon.I also had a very nice female doctor that came in and gave my son what he needed to get better before school resumes as well as me so with that said I thank you all so much for taking those measures because its extremely important to ask not just the questions but to have a smile on your face which Megan did just that so Thank you so much and Have a great New Year.

Reserved a spot at 9:15 am. I highly recommend you fill out forms on line so you wont have to do paper work when you get there. Easier at home if you can. Got in for appointment at 9:15 on time.visit went well. The NP who saw me was really good.

I scheduled an appointment for 12 for a COVID test, at 12:45 I was still waiting in the lobby. I wasnt even seen because my lunch break ended. If youre going to do scheduling it would be helpful to stay somewhere close to the schedule instead of wasting ppls time

My appointment was at 6:20. Yeah I wasn’t seen till after seven. If I had known that scheduling an appointment would serve me no purpose I would’ve gone somewhere else. Also the nurse practitioner wasn’t wearing a mask which I found kind of odd considering how much RSV, Covid and the flu is going around. I wore a mask as a preventative measure, but was really shocked that the one person seeing sick patients all night wasn’t wearing one.

Very busy urgent care. Made an appointment ahead of time, but still had to wait. Wait time only 30 min past appointment time, but once seen, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I’d recommend for “not so serious” ailments. NP was great. Thank you.

Everyone from the front desk staff to the nurse practitioner were professional and welcoming. From check in to being seen was less than a half hour, thankfully better option than the ER. However, after being sick with respiratory issues for almost 2 weeks, it was disappointing that they had no xray tech on duty. I was prescribed antibiotics and hoping they will eliminate my bad cold/flu quickly.

Everyone is kind and very professional. I couldnt get into my own PCP office for over a week and they took exceptional care of myself ×2 in the past 7 days!! Thank you all again

I had a great experience from booking the registration online, going to the urgent care with little wait time. The medical assistants were super nice and thorough. The NP, Gissella Montanez, was so nice, understanding, knowledgeable to the point that I needed to see if she had her own practice. If you’re looking for a women’s health professional, look into her.

2nd visit to get my stitches out was so fast & easy. The staff here are just the best. So sweet and made me feel so comfortable. If you need urgent care this is the place.

I’ve always have had a good experience at Urgent Care when I am unable to get into my doctor’s office. Wait time is reasonable. Staff is always pleasant.

The wait wasn’t as bad as usual, but once we got in the room , they were fast an efficient. The staff was very nice and the doctor was very understanding and listened.

My first impression was the space was very clean!Everyone I met was so delightful, personable, caring andseemingly happy at their work.The waiting room could use some color, new chairs and soft classical music playing,!

The staff at AFC Urgent Care in Methuen is the best! Easy to navigate the online to make an appointment. I needed to be seen for a nagging sinus issue, sore throat, etc. I was swabbed & tested for Covid , flu and strep- all negative! The attending, Tina W, came in, listened to me and ailments- reassured me that I had nothing serious. She took time to really listen to me, answered all my questions and provided a non-prescription way to handle my cold symptoms.This branch is my preferred site and I will be returning. Tina W and staff are tremendous!

Recently went to methuen AFC and had a great experience from start to finish. Shyanne went out of her way to try to fit me into the schedule on a very busy day. She let me know when would be a better time to come back and even followed up with a phone call. She was very kind. It can be hard working in healthcare when most people are frustrated about wait times, however she didn’t seem annoyed or frustrated, rather she seemed to really care. Even at the end of my visit, she smiled and asked how I was doing.The xray technician I had (didn’t catch her name) was also very nice and apologized right away for the wait time.Lastly, the NP I believe her name was Tricia went above and beyond to take care of me. She took her time talking to me about what she saw on the xray and what meds would be most helpful. This was my first time going to this location and was definitely impressed. Kudos to the staff who are doing a great job during a very busy season.

This afc apparently has a reputation for being hard to work with. I have been taking my kids and i here for years. Previous to today I’ve never had a problem. I brought my son in today because of a cough, the front desk lady’s and nurses are always nice and professional. We saw Dr Scott, he diagnosed an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin. He ended up giving me the wrong discharge paperwork (HIPPA violation) and sent me to the wrong pharmacy. After i called they asked me to bring back the paperWork and so they could give me the correct one. After i waited 30 mins at the correct CVS i was informed they hadn’t sent it. At that point i had had it and went home. My husband took over and had to be the middle man between them and cvs until he had finally had enough and asked for a hard copy to bring to the pharmacy himself. To me this entire situation was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I don’t feel like our information is safe here anymore and will be going elsewhere in the future.

The nurse practitioner Tricia alves was so caring and thorough. Shes now my favorite to see there. Best experience w someone that seems to care at that facility. As far as the drs and nurses. All of the assistants and front staff have always been kind

Great assistance Md and RN were excellent. The intake lady was a little awkward , took my temperature and vital signs but her behavior were like someone under some type of medication that she was sleepy and shaky .

Tricia, NP is very personable and took the time to explain everything in detail and addressed my concerns. When her treatment plan changed she promptly called me to notify me of the changes.

My visit there went better than I had expected. Since I had never been there. Everybody was nice. I still have my cough. I might have to go back and get more meds if it’s not gone in seven days.

Excellent experience. Took care of my finger laceration in . . . I don’t know. . . Maybe 60-90 minutes. If I had gone to an emergency room, would probably have been hours.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and medical professionals. Clean facilities and no wait time. Scheduling an appointment, filling out registration paperwork ahead online and checking in was fast and easy.

I was able to get in right away. I did not have to wait long before being seen by the doctor. I was diagnosed and meds called in before I left. I would recommend this office.

This is my go to Urgent care Facility. I love the online appt feature and never had to wait more than a few minutes.

Everyone from the front desk through to the doctor himself where very friendly and informative. Very pleasant in and out fast.

From the beginning of the check in the process was so pleasant. The receptionist in the front was amazing to the medical assistant, then came the physician how understanding she was and took the time to hear us out. I didn’t feel as if I was being rushed out the door! I highly recommend this place how relieved I was leaving the office. 5 stars is an understatement I would have filled this up with stars if allowed too! Thank you, for attending to my loved ones!

Unfortunately I’ve been to the urgent care three or four times over the past five or six years and I have to say the service is very good the healthcare professionals, the nurse practitioners are greatAnd I was very pleased again with the service

Check in was a little bit confusing but our service was fantastic. The medical assistant, nurse practitioner and X-ray tech were very nice, compassionate and caring.

Best urgent care we ever been to!! Patty the PA is wonderful. Not much of a sense of humor but right on point with diagnosis and treatment. We arrived and within 10 min brought to be seen. We were in and out ! Myself and my son have been seen there. Very friendly front staff also. Highly recommended.

Very sore throat and cough. Decided to go to AFC Urgent Care on Sunday. Requested and received same-day appointment and filled out check-in forms online. Checked-in at site. Examined by nurse practitioner. Tests ordered, taken and results given with quick turnaround. Very professional and efficient.Another trip to AFC Urgent Care. Sinus headache, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, fever and cough. Only positive test was Influenza B. Good service once again.

My 4 yr old son Jameson was very sick today and the nurse Javi was absolutely amazing. She made him feel so comfortable and took the time to explain to him what was going to happen. Thank you! I brought my daughter in the next day and had the same nurse and she was just as wonderful with my special needs daughter.

I twisted my ankle, receptionist was terrific, the wait wasn’t long just under 30 minutes. X-ray and visit was extremely efficient.Thank you

The front desk lady on 12/13 was the nicest lady I didn’t feel good and she made me so much more comfortable and felt understood the visit went great I got what I needed and got to go home no issues or complaints thank you to my amazing team

Had an appointment at 12:30 was not seen until about 1:20. Why make an appointment if your taking walk ins first if my appointment is at 12:30 and someone walks in at 12:15 I don’t care that they were there before me they didn’t have an appointment I should be taken before them.

Ive been here a few times with different family members. The office is always clean, staff are patient and accommodating and the medical professionals dont rush you out, even if its close to closing time. Diagnosis are on point. I highly recommend this practice.

Physician Assistant chose getting out of work on time instead of giving me a much needed Asthma treatment. Arrived at 7:25 for a 7:30 appointment. I was the only one there and sat for a bit waiting to go in. Told the Physician Assistant that my breathing (Asthma) had been getting worse the last 2 days and I didnt feel like my inhaler was working. Ive also been having an itchy throat, nose and occasional dry cough and sneeze. They tested me for both Strep and Covid in which both were negative. Temp was 99.1. Said she would do an X-ray but no one was there to do it. She acknowledged that she heard some wheezing and said she could do a breathing treatment (which I felt I needed) but then said, What time is it? I told her 7:52 in which she replied, I would do it but my friends would be upset because they want to get out of here. Since when is how your coworkers feel a priority over treating a patient?!? She asked if I had a nebulizer at home and I do. So she said shell send a script for the solution to CVS ( When I got to CVS they said that not enough information was given for the insurance to approve it). I asked about possibly getting a different inhaler and was told that they cant prescribe a steroid (although she prescribed me Prednisone which a steroid) and Id have to go to my PCP. How is this place an URGENT CARE?! Very unhappy with the experience and complete disregard for what I needed as a patient. PA, Amanda, you might want to reconsider a job in healthcare if your “friends” feelings are more important than your patient. Do better!

The staff seem caring. Got an immediate appointment via internet. Was seen very quickly. They are able to order tests and call prescriptions in to my pharmacy of choice. A phone call with a concern was promptly addressed. Better than my pcp.

Easy to save your spot, quick and efficient check-in, kind and compassionate staff, professional and knowledgeable medical team. Its a win-win.

Today I injured myself and cut my right hand. I drove to AFC Urgent Care in Methuen. I arrived about 5pm and quickly registed and within 10 min was seen. The staff was courteous and professional. Within another 10 min was seen by physician that I would describe her as very personable, professional, caring and courteous. In another 20min, I was cleaned up, stitched up and given instructions for self care and when to return. Very Grateful for the staff at AFC Urgent Care MethuenThank You,Marcel

With an appointment, it was a six minute wait in the lobby, then into an examen room. Everyone was kind, polite and concerned with how I as feeling.💝

Good experience. Only 1 issue. I was taken 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment.

I initially saw many reviews saying there was a short wait time when you’ve booked an appointment online, so I chose to take my daughter here when she had a cough. However my appointment time was 4:59 and I didn’t get to speak with a practitioner until almost 6:10 PM. The rooms were clean and satisfactory. The NP was kind and understanding. I don’t know if I would be back or recommend this over any other urgent care.

I did not have much confidence in my treatment team. There was no suggestion for why I have a specific ailment or how to treat the ailment. I will say that I am grateful that Urgent Care is available. I’m sure I’ll visit again.

They took me in very quickly,I was seen by a very nice nurse practitioner, and my prescriptions were sent right over to the pharmacy. I was in there a total of about 25 min. It was extremely easy and everyone was very helpful. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. It beats the ER 100 x over!

Just had the worst experience with this facility. I got stung 3 times by hornets. My legs are VERY swollen and red. Rash is around my leg. The nurse practitioner would not do anything for me. Told me it was normal. She acted like I was wasting her time. She told me to watch it for 5 days and come back if not better. I explained that I was traveling internationally and was worried. She told me I could go to an urgent care in the country I will be in. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.I have been here before with bug bites and they always help me with some steroids. The swelling and rash I have is NOT normal.Will not be allowing her to see me again!

I was very sick today. I went to The walk in clinic in MarstonSt Lawrence.The receptionist said I had no insurance and was not able to see me. I assured her that I had insurance, and she said I cant find it and sent me away. I walk in to AFC and they did the most. The girls in the front was very knowledgeable took the time to call and verify my Insurance.I was able to been seen. Thank God ! I recommend Afc urgent care. Knowledgeable people I was seen right away.

Reserved a time slot on their web page (on a Sunday, no less). Got a text about 20 minutes prior, saying I should drive over. Within less than 10 minutes I was being seen by a doctor. Was extremely impressed with the efficiency of the time slot process. Doctor was knowledgeable and empathetic, and a good listener. Would definitely recommend using the web reservation process so there is very little delay sitting in the waiting room.

100% satisfied with every aspect of my visit. I called ahead to be placed in queue and when I got there I waited maybe five minutes to be taken back to an exam room. I was seen by a very friendly and competent PA who listened to me and explained everything she was going to do. I think my visit lasted 15 minutes at most, but I never felt rushed. In short, I would go back to these folks whenever the occasion arises that I need medical care and cant go to my own doctor.

Everyone was super nice and I was in and out. The entrance is a little weird, make sure you go through the entrance that says Urgent Care. They have signs pointing in the other direction, but disregard them.

Went into urgent care for a tetanus booster after stepping on a rusted old nail while pregnant. There was no line or wait, and I was taken care of quickly! Everyone was pleasant especially the nurse who took my vital- so soft spoken and great customer service!Definitely a great alternative to the emergency room.

This is my second time going to this facility and it doesnt disappoint. The staff is friendly and are really good with kids. The first time I was there for myself this time it was for my son who came out with an ear infection. Thank God they were open. I was able to get his ear flushed and antibiotics sent over to the pharmacy.

We bought my mom in recently for leg pain . Minimal wait time , very helpful & caring by not letting my mom walk far, by putting her in child exam room with low seat/ exam table . PA was extremely informative, very caring & knowledgeable. She sent us to Haverhill Urgent Care for an X-ray ,and called within a few hours with results .Office was Clean, staff was thorough and very kind .Highly recommend!

I brought George in today, New Years Eve, when everyone seems to be feeling ill. We had just a little wait and after receiving a firm diagnosis with instructions, we were out in a very reasonable time. Victoria NP, and staff were each pleasant and knowledgeable.

I thought all the ladies were very nice. Dr. And nurse was very educated. The only issue is the registration online. It did not work both times I went there(6 months apart). If it wasnt for that Id give this business a 5 star.

Super impressed with how very well prepared they are for just about anything. I received an eye exam and was able to get quickly diagnosed and has my prescription sent over right away.

This place took my co-pay of $70 and then told me they can’t help me they didn’t return my $70 and now I have to go pay more money at the emergency room. I want my money back.

Today was the first time Ive been to this clinic and I had a really good experience. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient and I only had to wait for about 15 minutes to see the dr. And the dr was also very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Always have the best experience at UFC in Methuen, MAOne of the best places the health industries have created is an urgent care facility. I have elderly parents and when they need to be seen by a doctor right away it’s been the best place to take them, the quality of care is awesome. The time spent is no where near going to an emergency room. I’m grateful for the PA’s, nurses and all of the important folks involved in ensuring my parents get quality care. I can’t thank you all enough for that!!

I went in yesterday due to feeling sick. It was a very pleasant experience considering I was sick. I had the flu. My gf went in the next day to get checked for the same thing. I brought her and went in, mask and all. As she was checking in I was asked if I tested positive and I said yes for the flu, then was asked really rudely can you wait in your car so we dont spread anything, thanks and just turned away. My gf said she told her that she has the same thing as me and the lady said you havent tested positive yet.... Yet she didnt even ask her to put a mask on, in case she had the flu as well. So flu like symptoms, freezing and sweating, and high temp... Fine until she tests positive.... Maybe not the best career choice.It can be a nice and smooth experience, with the right people.

I went today and I was in and out in a timely manner. They were all very nice & professional. You can definitely tell they care about you when you are there. You dont feel rushed and you do feel heard... I will definitely recommend. They are so thoughtful the Nurse even printed out information to the nearest Cvs for me to pick up medication because I was not near my home. I give them 5+ stars...

Ive been suffering for a while with ear and throat pain, so I made an appointment and went in on a Sunday morning. Service was very quick, I dont think I had to wait 10 minutes, and the NP that I saw was very nice and listened to what I had to say. Everybody that I came in contact with was very helpful and cordial.

I have been a Patient at afc urgent care, methuen. Ma several times over the past two years and the receptionists, technicians, and medical staff have always been considerate, professional and proficient in their diagnosis and treatment.

From receptionist, to techs, nurses (Nicki and I forget the mans name - Eduard?), and PA-C Penta - top-notch service and communication. Excellent patient (customer) service.

Our family loves AFC UC Methuen!! ❤️We drive an hour just to go here.The staff is so professional but also super sweet and caring.My husband is a health care provider and he has the highest opinion of the providers - they are among the best in the state.

After showing up at my primarys office and not being able to be seen I did an online search and found AfC. I was able to register online, walk in and use my insurance to be seen in less than 15 minutes.AfC is Prompt curteous and efficient it is great to have this option right in our town.

Update: Yesterday we were seen promptly at 9:55 for our 10:00 appointment made on line the night before. My friend fell and wounded his leg. The PA gave us advice to check at the ED for the use of XRay and Ultrasound, before he would send us home with an antibiotic. He provided us with his report which expedited our getting tested promptly at LGH. The U/S and XRay tests, only available at hospital ED’s, were negative for clot and fracture, and they visualized an abscess with the ultrasound and treated him with antibiotics.A few years ago I Called at 10:15 for reaction to hornet bite, found an immediate opening on line, signed in at home, drove over and was seen right away, at the 11:00 appointment that was set up !

I had a wonderful experience at AFC urgent care. Dr. Nick was so nice and listened to my concerns. He is WONDERFUL!!! Nurse Melissa is so sweet and funny. She made me forget I was felling awful.

Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Made the whole experience so much better. I made an appointment, it was pretty busy so I did have to wait a little bit. I don’t mind after realize how quick the process went. I read some of the other reviews. Yes the chairs are a little faded but what do you expect when so many people are in and sitting day in and day out. I felt the place was super clean. It’s an urgent care they can’t do everything but just enough to get you answers you may need.

Very happy with the service. I always make an appointment. We are new to the area and our PCP is a little far, so the convenience cannot be beat. They’re only a mile from us! We are generally in and our very quickly. They’re even great with my young children. The wait is never bad, even on the weekend.

What a great experience! Dr. Jill was attentive and empathetic. She really listened to my spouse and then conveyed her diagnosis and care plan clearly. The office staff was friendly, too. We highly recommend this urgent care location.

As always another positive experience visiting AFC. They are always quick professional and they care about their patients. I have never experienced an Unnecessarily long wait nor have I ever felt my appointment was rushed. I am grateful to have in this place in my area so that I don’t have to spend several hours at one of our local hospitals. The co-pay is also a lot more reasonable. I would highly recommend a visit to this place when you need treatment and I’m not feeling well and don’t feel like going to the emergency room.

Scheduling an appt online was easy and beneficial. I didn’t have to wait long, just a few minutes. Everyone was friendly and patient. The physician sent the script to my pharmacy which was ready when I arrived to pick up. All in all, a very good smooth experience (Especially when you’re not feeling well).

3 weeks after mismanaging my labs with the potential for a type of tic disease diagnosis I still haven’t heard back from the Methuen Ma team. I called several times and was told that they are just so busy and most likely won’t hear back from anyone, says the young lady answering the phone. I asked to speak with a manger after several failed attempts and was told that Kathy who manages 4 locations is just to busy and you most likely won’t here from her either. No compassion! After rescheduling my blood work through my primary care the blood work was done correctly and a diagnosis of tic disease was provided. They never took into consideration my health and wellness. I was told that my liver and kidney functions were way off and was prescribed the appropriate treatment. So glad they care enough about their patients as their slogans say. They should be ashamed and I warn others to not seek convenience over your real Doctor. Love to hear back from this compassionate team they say they have. First time I have ever written a review good or bad! I will also find other mechanisms to share my review.

This urgent care location has always been good to us. I started coming here, right in the height of the pandemic—they were one of the few places that could accommodate testing when it was so scarce. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I could get in even when they’re packed to the brim. The care providers have been nothing but kind, understanding, and fluent in all diagnostics. I’ve chosen to bring my young child here in the last two events of his illness as they are quick, accurate, and very good with children. All staff has been great in handling our care, they even spoil my child with stickers. I have nothing but good things to say about this facility.

They were friendly , there were two people before me but I was only there for maybe 45 minutes total .. from beginning to end.. I even had X-rays done . SO much better than going to an ER !!

I was there for my daughter and they took her earlier then her appointment once they realized the urgency even though I wasn’t the nicest because of the situation. They understood a mother’s emotion. Very good heart people. Highly recommend. Hard to find kind heart people these days. Thank you for your service.

This place is excellent for day to day medical needs that dont necessarily require your PCP. The facility is immaculate, there is plenty of parking, and the online check in process is super easy and efficient. Dont let bad experiences at other clinics steer you away from this terrific establishment!

The people at the front desk of this establishment are very nice and professional. And the Doctor Who attended to my care; Dr. Jillian felt like a mother of my own. I always do pre registration online, I noticed tlout shorten the wait time. I checked in at the front desk have the reception my insurance card. Sat down for not even 10 mins. Got in the room the MA, was all business took vital signs asked what was wrong with me. She was very time efficient. The whole visit took 30 mins. I was in and out. This has always been my go to AFC for myself and my children.

Went back on 3/25/23. Not feeling well. Again the staff was excellent. They really go above and beyond and taking the time to listen to your concerns.I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment as I was coming from my surgeons office and the front desk staff was very helpful and friendly to everyone that came in while I was waiting.The staff was very helpful from start to finish. I walk with a cane and not very steady on my feet. They helped me out but not over bearing. I knew last night I had an infection and was able to get an appointment the next morning. The doctor called a prescription into Target and was ready by the time I got there.

I had a billing issue from the craziness of Covid in 2021 come back up just last week. The billing department looked into everything quickly and took care of the problem. It was a minor pain and stress to us but their quickness to resolve it and friendly way of going about it was appreciated. It was good to know that it wasn’t all about a bottom line and customer service was an actual part of how they want to operate.

My daughter got bit by a stray dog and we were concerned about rabies or whatever else. From the second we came into the door the front desk people were friendly and kind. The doctor we saw was really patient, kind and friendly with my daughter who is special needs. And the nurse that came in to give her a shot was very good with her again very kind and mindful about who she was dealing with.Karen

Always simple and easy to make an appointment here. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Its where I go when I cant get in to see my PCP and I am not feeling well. The NP diagnosed a sinus infection after I had been sick for a week.

Fast, clean and friendly. The checkin person was very helpful when I told her I had a hearing issue and spoke clearly and slowly. The medical assistant was helpful and upbeat. The doctor was prompt, pleasant and knowledgeable. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I will absolutely come here again over any other urgent care centers near me.

I was there on 9/14/2022. Sydney the front desk medical secretary was extremely nice. She was very nice to my 4 yr old son. I also noticed that she was polite to the other patients that came in. I called back that same day because I needed a doctors note for my sons school. She made sure that note was given to me. Great experience here. I made a reservation ahead of time. When I arrived, check in was easy, and I was taken to an exam room about 5-7 minutes after my reservation time. Both the nurse who took my vitals and the NP were very kind and caring and did a great job explaining what they were doing and my diagnosis. I will return.

I was pleasantly surprised. Online registration was intuitive. I was saying the timely manner. Everyone was pleasant. Most importantly, I got the care that I needed. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility

Online check-in/registration process was smooth, office staff was attentive and friendly, and the MA and PA were awesome. I felt listened to and not dismissed even though I was only there for something minor. Would recommend this AFC definitely!

Have used this facility 3 times recently for 3 different things and as a critical care nurse of 21 years I find this place clean, friendly and staff efficient/knowledgeable. Longest wait 1 time 20 minutes which is nothing compared to other places. Highly recommended and have had 3 different practitioners at each visit. Great with my kids too!!

Made appointment, filled out paperwork got there and there was one person at front desk and the line to check in was 7 people deep. People filling out forms holding up line. Waited in line 20 minutes, making me late for appointment ,proceeded to wait anothet 20 minutes for a 3 minute visit.

Excellent. Receptionist welcoming and very efficient entering data. Assessmnt and intake gathering by assistant/nurse very efficient. NP or PA very responsive. Had results of urine sample within minutes and sent prescription to Pharmacy. I would highly reccomend this Urgent Care. Thank you!

Best Urgent Care! I was greeted promptly at the front desk by Cydney. She is pleasant, efficient, fast and has it all together. Check in was super easy. As I sat in the waiting room, I heard her telling each patient as they left hope you feel better. Such a nice closing to a visit, for patients. Entire staff has it all together.

I made an appointment and went here for abdominal pain and when I finally saw someone, I was told Just go to the ER. We dont even have an X-Ray and they sent me on my way. They provided no actual service for me, but they had no problem charging my insurance with 5 different claims. They want to try and charge me over $1000 after insurance for 2 60+ minute visits and then another 2 45 minute visits, when again, they did not actually do anything for me.Update: After 5 months of appeals and spending a lot of time and effort on my part to straighten this out, Im stuck with a $238 bill just because the doctor walked into the room I was in. Ive never felt more scammed or taken advantage of from any business or medical facility.Just to reiterate, I was charged $238 for a 45+ minute doctors visit because I was brought into a room, a doctor walked in, asked where the pain was, I told him my abdomen, and he told me to go to the ER because they dont even have an X-Ray.The doctor who saw me and and claimed it was 45+ minutes was Richard Wesphaver. My insurance said the appeal was denied because the doctor stands by this being 45+ minutesDO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY EMERGENCYUpdate 2: I have emailed the email address they put in their reply, and never got any answer back. They just put that in their reply to make it look like they are trying to help me, but do not want to put in the effort to ACTUALLY help me.Update 3: They never responded to my email asking for help with these billing issues, and they now have a debt collection company going after me for the incorrect amount of money. My claim now says $213, but theyre trying to collect $494.Ive never experienced anything like this before. This should be illegal.

I’ve had two excellent experiences here since we moved to the area in May, once for myself and once for my 2.5 year old. Both times the front desk was helpful and efficient, the medical assistants were friendly and helpful and the providers were great. Both times I made an appointment online and was seen within 10 minutes of the appointment time. My PCP and my childrens’ pediatrician are still in Medford, so it’s great to have this option barely a mile from our home when we are in a pinch. Can’t recommend enough!

I went to this place on the advice of a co-worker when I couldn’t get an appointment sooner with my own PCP. It was easy to register online and I was seen very quickly, even though it was late afternoon on a Friday. The NP that saw me was very professional and I was on my way in about an hour. All around great experience.

Went in for a simple ear infection. Was a little busy but the nurses were very patient, apologetic and vocal about what was happening. I was in and out within 35 mins and my prescription was ready working 30 mins. Great experience.

I took my daughter to this location Sat. 04/01/23. My daughter was coughing, had sore throat, and had a low grade fever. In the visits I had here before, they had always been thorough and very nice. Well, upon examination by the doctor and after the testing she went through, they found nothing to be wrong with my daughter. I found it odd that the doctor passed off my daughter’s condition as such when she was clearly ill. The physician said it was allergies, but even clearly stated that there were sounds on the right side of my daughter’s chest. Three days later, my daughter’s condition worsened. I took her to our regular doctor only to be diagnosed with pneumonia. I was extremely disappointed to have had this happen to my daughter. I do not plan to return.

Online pre-registration was so quick and easy to use. Wait was not long and visit was only about an hour. Super clean exam rooms and waiting area. Super friendly staff! Highly satisfied and would recommend!!

Able to get an appointment on short notice. The nurse practitioner who examined me was thorough and did not rush me. She carefully and patiently listened to me. Great experience.

Got an appointment right away, front desk was quick & efficient, let me speak without being interrupted & listened to all of my concerns while being prompt. Was tested & seen by a nurse & doctor all under an hour which is golden in this day & age if you ask me. Super easy to get too, 12/10 would recommend! Am used to going to the one in haverhill but since they’ve closed this will be my new pick.

Update.I stopped in today for a minor medical issue, got an appointment online for within the next hour. Arrived and was seen within minutes by the nurse who was friendly and professional. Waited a very short time for the doctor who also was friendly and professional. I was heading out the door very satisfied 30 minutes after my appointment time. I would never be able to get an appointment with my primary care doctor that efficiently. Overall I am very, very happy with the care and efficiency in Methuen.During Covid. Needed a covid test for travel, this AFC had open appointments for the same evening and I was in and out within 20 minutes. Will be using again. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

Service was way too slow. 1.5 hrs to get checked out for poison ivy? Need more staff. They all were friendly/thoughtful enough.

I did online booking so there was barely a wait, everyone who worked with me was incredibly kind and sympathetic, very gentle and knowledgeable. When I had to ask for clarification on a medication the answer was explained more in depth with patience. Not expensive either. Thank you for helping me when I was at my most miserable 💜

First time at an Irgent care and I loved the service my son and I received. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant and professional. The initial intake nurse was super friendly and did her job efficiently. The nurse practitioner was very helpful and straight to the point. Although the lobby was busy I was not there for over 30 minutes. I don’t think I will be visiting the regular E.R again. I rather go here.

Every time I go here or any other location ( n.andover or haverhill) we always have a great experience. Staff is great... medical personnel are as well. Thank you!

On their web site they state You do not need an appointment . That is a complete lie. I arrived at 8am. First one through the door, and they told me I needed to make an appointment online. First available one was at 10:30am. 2.5 hours from then. See the front page of the web site where they state that you do not need an appointment. BOO on them. I couldnt wait for 2 hours. Poor customer service as they didnt seem to care or want to assist. See attached photo from the front webpage. For Clarity this should be removed! And state you only see people by appointment. That is more accurate.

Excellent . As a nurse I found the staff to be very kind and understanding. They actually listen to what you have to say and how you are feeling. They don’t tell you how you feel. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. Nurse practitioners was very kind and knowledgeable and took the time to listen to what I had to say. Not rushed at all. They do not perform any unnecessary treatments. Definitely my go to place for Urgent Care.

My visit was really great. I set up my appointment online & they tell you what time to head out. I still had to wait a bit but that’s to be expected. The employees were so nice. The ladies at the front desk and the doctor. What impressed me most was a nurse named Scarlet. I had a conversation with her about taking care of yourself and your family. Not to let other people get you down. She is so dedicated and inspired.

My husband and I visited AFC urgent care today for a rapid Corvid test. I found the entire process to be organized and safe. The staff was friendly and professional. I scheduled the appointments the night before on the website, it was easy and painless. We received our results within 10 minutes.

After finding out my PCP couldnt take me today, I contacted AFC Methuen, and got in to see them today.Everyone there was pleasant to me. They all treated me professionally and like they were interested in helping me with my problem.There was a short wait to be seen, but not more than I would have waited at my Drs office.I would recommend this location if someone is in need of urgent care.

Stop pretending you care about your patients. My wife, a mother of two came in today to be seen for her ears, didn’t have a credit card/cash to pay but offered to pay if you billed us and you flat out REFUSED to treat her! You will never get our business again! I highly recommend anyone who see’s this to choose a different urgent care! These people do NOT put the patient first!

Absolutely ridiculous service, was rushed and the doctor didnt even listen to what I was saying and kept repeating herself over and over. Went in for an issue going on for over 3 weeks and was told it was allergies. Explained how I am already taking allergy medicine, on top of other medication that should have helped this but kept saying their is nothing she can do. Didnt even look at the back of my throat, feel my lymph nodes, in and out within 2 minutes. I went to my own doctor when he got back from vacation and I had a bacterial infection that required antibiotics. Within 2 days, I was already back to my normal self. Thanks for taking my money and not listening to your patients since your patients know more about their body than you. Its not like I was expecting anything out of the ordinary. I will never return here...

I walked into the office around 5:30 pm to a warm friendly front desk. The process was explained with detail and a smile! Once the forms were filled out we waited a reasonable time with a full lobby, however, I was amazed how quick I was seen with a busy lobby. The nurse assessment was quick and to the point. I was seen by the doctor diagnosed and prescription was called into my pharmacy! Great place - great location and we LOVE AFC Urgent Care!!!

I had COVID and needed to get a test to verify. I made my appointment on line and went in. The on line registration was quick and easy. My appointment was right on time and my results processed in a very timely manner. I am very impressed. I will continue to do business with this Urgent care when necessary.

Awesome. My NP Jill was so sweet and knowledgeable. Luckily it wasnt busy and I was in and out in less than an hour. Checking in online was also a great option. I went in for an ear infection. My appointment was at 2pm and i showed up at 145 and they were still at lunch but very nice about me waiting in the room... They checked me in at 2 and I was out of there in 15 minutes with a diagnosis and a very happy patient! Thank you so much!

I went in because I needed a rapid COVID test after being exposed (I’m vaccinated with no symptoms). They weren’t able to take me on a Sunday, but they were able to schedule me an appointment first thing Monday morning. I was in and out with my results in 20 minutes, and everyone on staff was very friendly. Nice and easy visit.

Great staff. Doctor was issue. Very condescending for no reason. Hes lucky I was in good mood. Typical fat balding average looking middle aged guy looking at my Greek statue of a body and was jealous. Did he look at himself. Hes the high risk for heart attack, diabetes,and stroke . I have a low carb low sodium low sugar diet. I am 48 years old with less than 4% body fat. But hes making me feel like an addict for taking too many ibuprofen. Wish doctors cared this much when they were prescribing Percocet like candy and got half the country hooked.

My kids have been sick for weeks 7, 16 years old . First the flu now secondary issues. Nurses/medical assistants that helped us had so much patience with my little guy because he was miserable and scared. Thank you to you two ladies working at 1:20pm today on 1/12/2023. Then we met Rick, NP who also had the patience of a saint. I have been to other urgent care facilities and today changed my mind about how I feel. The staff at this site actually cared and helped. Did not brush me off and did head to toe assessments. I can’t thank you enough for the care my kids received today. Also staff missed their lunch for us because my son was that difficult. So big THANK YOU to Rick and all the staff we encountered from the desk to the back area❤️ This mama is at peace!

I was sceptable at first, I wasnt sure what to expect walking into an Urgent Care Clinic. The facility was very clean, for thats always the first thing I look for. The staff and the doctor were pleasant and compassionate.They were easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. The doctor took his time and made sure I understood everything that I needed to knowI was in there and out with a 1/2 hour. ..I was so pleased

I had a super quick, easy rapid test, and they were very friendly. It’s all done from your car. As long as you have insurance and do all the registration beforehand, it is super fast and I got my results an hour later. I went in the morning so they took me and my husband at the same time even though our apppintments were a bit scattered because of availability. So I suggest a morning time if possible. Was nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but had the easiest COVID test experience to date (granted all the others I’ve done were no cost tests).

We booked appointments for Covid tests and things couldn’t have been smoother! We pulled up to the designated spots and called as directed and someone came out within a minute. We have two small children (under 3) and the employee who administered the test was absolutely incredible with them! The kids giggled the whole time and he made them feel very comfortable. He explained everything clearly and was very professional and personable. Once he was done, the NP came out to the car and was just as fantastic with answering any questions we had. We also received our rapid test results within an hour. I would absolutely recommend AFC Urgent Care Methuen to anyone needing to get a test!

Clinic is very convenient and easy to get to. People are nice. I was seen quickly. They have lots of hours 7 days a week. My only concern was unlike my regular doctor I did not receive any exit paperwork for care and follow-up. Everything was verbal from the doctor.Doctor was very nice but Im not really100 per cent sure when I walked outwhat totally was going on. Otherwiseall was good.

The girl at the front desk was so nice, and Dr. Antonio Penta was awesome, they are so caring, I love them all, because they truly care about their patients, thank you all, I wish you all well!!!

Very convenient location with the shortest wait time, the medical staff provided excellent services. instead of waiting 2 or 3 weeks for an appointment with your primary care doctor, you just walk in any time during the clinics work hours and within 1/2 hour you are done. I am very impressed with the services and very happy with the treatments.

I went here to be seen quickly as my doctors office was completely booked up, and not only were all the staff friendly and personable but they were accommodating and sympathetic to my needs and extremely helpful and punctual. I have not had great experiences in the past with walk in clinics but with this experience, I know I can always count on Methuen AFC to help me when I need to be seen immediately! Thank you!! ❤️

I was only in the building for a total of 20 minutes, 25 tops if you count the time I was laughing with the doctor. My son was treated quickly and efficiently, exactly the way I asked.

Picked this location as it offers free tests to MA residents as part of #stopthespread. Booked COVID Rapid test online a week prior. Process was smooth, staff was personable and answered all questions upon arrival. Even got a call the day of the appointment that we could be accommodated earlier than scheduled. Test was gentle, only slightly uncomfortable. Results were emailed in less than an hour!

Fantastic. They took me right in and answered my questions. I saw three people who were professional and inquisitive. They questioned, tested, treatment options and prescribed. All in short order. Id go back in a minute.

My daughter was feeling ill and I took her to the clinic where her regular doctor is and they didnt help me,because they didn’t have appointment available,So I went to AFC urgent care in Methuen and she was treated with a lot of attention and education. Staff is always professional and friendly. We have used their Rapid COVID testing services for travel for several trips. Appointment times are always adhered to. They’re our go-to place before traveling!

I went there for a covid test, gave insurance information. They never bill my insurance. A year later, sent me to debt collector. Then I tried to connect between my insurance and debt..they denied talking to my insurance. Gave all the job to myself to deal with? so Am I a patient or Am I a worker there?

This office is amazing I have been a couple times and the doctors and staff are so nice and helpful. It’s refreshing to be in the presence of people you can tell love what they do. They are quick, office is clean and they are kind!

This care center is outstanding. I waited for maybe 15 minutes before being called to the check up room, and was in and out of the whole place in less than an hour. All three of the women who helped me (front desk receptionist, nurse, and doctor) were all extremely friendly. I am one of those people who rarely go to the doctors when sick, but this place really put my anxieties at ease. I had a question after I left and called in, they answered my call, even though it was after closing hours. I wish I could give this more stars!
