Planned Parenthood - Louisville Health Center

I called 4 local clinics, including my primary OB/GYN, trying to get in for an emergency contraceptive IUD placement. All clinics either sent me on a wild goose chase, acted like they didn’t know what an IUD was, or didn’t have openings for months. I am so glad I called Planned Parenthood. Customer Service immediately got me in and was knowledgeable on emergency contraception and the limited timeline available for it to work. I was so incredibly nervous, but the women here were so sweet, warm, welcoming, and professional - from the front desk to my provider! Pain was extremely minimal and the provider told me everything she was doing at every step of the way, asking before she touched me. Her nurse sat in to support me and kept me occupied as well as my support person. I definitely recommend Planned Parenthood!

These people dont care !!! There customer service line is rude! Also they are very unprofessional I booked a appointment a week ahead of time and on the day of I got a text message saying its canceled with no explanation! When called in this girl named Kia told me they didnt have a provider to see me and that I couldnt do the next day I have to wait a whole another week ! She also said it would be 150 to 250 just to be seen before they do anything !

The women receptionist and Cindi are the sweetest they make you so comfortable I love this placeI dropped my rating down to a 3 because I was hung up on by a representative after being frustrated because I was told I need to be seen to switch a prescription over to another one I can afford since it was $300I was literally in the office 2 months ago its all about money

Have been to other PP locations in the past and this place has been a nightmare! I really hate leaving a review like this but they have been super unprofessional to deal with after my appointment. They hang up on you all the time and make it seem like they are working on contacting your insurance but are just lying through their teeth waiting for you to disappear.

One can make many mistakes in life, this is not one of them.Staff was super nice, wonderfully clean facility, 10/10 would highly recommend

My nurse, Joe, and provider, Jennifer, were absolute angels. I was very, very nervous going in for my general wellness exam, and they both did their best to put my nervousness at ease. They were both kind and very engaging, and Jennifer talked me through the entire process as it happened, even allowing me to take a moment when I needed. I have been to their facility before, and I will always come here because they really do care about their patient’s needs.

By far the best tan PP location. It is clean, staff is friendly and go above and beyond to make your visit as smooth as possible. They offer assistance at the front desk as well which is great.

I absolutely loathe going to the doctor so naturally going to the gynecologist was extra anxiety-inducing for me. That is until I started going to planned parenthood. The entire staff is so kind and welcoming. I still get nervous but its such a positive experience every time I go, and scheduling online is convenient and easy as well.

Went in for an appointment, which was set up a few days prior, and at check-in was informed that the two new Drs there are not certified with my insurance leaving me with having to cancel my appointment and needing to find a new provider.

I have been coming to this PP for a couple years now and I cant see myself switching ever! Granted, Ive never been for anything serious, always just basic wellness exam type stuff, so Im not sure how the facility would be in terms of care for more serious medical issues. I can only say from my own personal experience, that I absolutely adore Dr.Auger, she is just so sweet and patient, kindly answering all my questions and addressing my concerns (that turned out to be nothing). She made recommendations and alternative options that were based on her personal experience, and were super inexpensive, knowing that was an area of concern for me. She didnt make me feel rushed at all, and sat down to talk with me like we were old friends. Shes a wonderful, caring person and doctor. The office is new, so its very clean and comfortable. As far as scheduling, Ive always made my appts online, as it will show you various times/days that are available, and on the day of, Ive never waited more than a few minutes before going back, and I was out within an hour! Great experience!! Thank you to PP, you are an invaluable asset to our community! Keep up the good work!

Ive only been here twice, but each time was a great experience. The place seems clean and well-kept, I never waited a terribly long time to be seen, everyone was super nice and easy to work with. The doctor was very laid back and has a sense of humor which I love! Not to mention the fact they are willing to work with you on payment options if you have no insurance or are simply tight on money.

My experience was very pleasant. The nurse Joe who assisted me was someone ill never forget! The most kind hearted eyes and calming voice. Thank you all for providing access to services for women! You all are angels.

Im torn with this review. The doctor I see(Auger?) Is absolutely amazing. Shes the best gyno Ive ever been to.The staff has always been super friendly and the facility is really clean but Im not so sure about whatever is going on beyond the front desk.The first pap I had there years ago was abnormal and no one bothered to tell me until I went back a year or so later(I spoke with someone that wasnt my regular doctor about it).I went back for my annual in December and late January I got a letter saying that I had abnormal cells in my cervix and was told to come in for a follow up. That was a horrifying letter to get and when I went in they told me it was a mistake and I shouldnt have gotten that letter.The women at the front desk seemed genuinely sorry for the mix up but that was a VERY big mix up.Hopefully my situations were just isolated incidents because PP is honestly a wonderful very necessary thing but I dont think I personally want to go back there.

The nurse or tech who took my vitals and talked to me was super nice. Very sweet. But the doctor, she is an angel! I love her so much. She is very helpful and just a very kind and caring person. You can tell she is employed at Planned Parenthood because she really wants to help people.

Joe is an absolute angel and Jennifer was great! Couldnt recommend Planned Parenthood enough as they always make me feel comfortable and supported in every way possible.

Easily one of the most, if not the most unprofessional experience Ive ever had with healthcare.The computer system was down when I arrived for my appointment. I understand things like this can happen, but the way the staff handled it was extremely amateur.My blood was drawn by a sloppy tech with no personal hygiene and the process made me so uncomfortable that I had to force myself not to stand up and walk out. If youre going to be putting a needle in someones arm there should be no room for unprofessional behavior.Everyone in the building had a lackadaisical attitude toward their job, which should never happen in such a setting. To top it all off, the entire reason I went (a blood test) was a waste. I received a call 3 weeks after my appointment (after being told my results would be available the week following my appointment) to inform me that my blood was lost and theyd need to draw blood again.I would never, in my entire life, recommend that someone visit this facility based upon my experience. While writing this review I attempted to call to confirm my insurance would not be charged for this disaster. After being on hold 11 minutes I hung up. Total waste of time.

I’ve had great experiences with planned parenthood in Louisville since I was 15. So thankful to be able to plan my parenthood and wait till I was ready to become a mother and prevent pregnancy until then. I’ve always felt so comfortable here.

The person that took my blood pressure and history was very rude but the doctor was as sweet as could be and caring. She went out of her way for me and my concerns. The facility was very clean throughout. And the wait wasnt bad (had scheduled appt)

Been getting my birth control here for 4 years now. Have had the doctors laugh at my concerns, lie to me saying I didnt have to ay anything and then I get a call from a debt collector for a bill from my appointment from a year ago. They didnt tell me side effects of the implant and the doctor even said she herself got hers taken out within 6 months because it was so bad. I will never go back to this location. They are unprofessional and rude.

Planned parenthood supported and respected my natural lifestyle and rejection of pharmaceuticals. My regular DR did not and actually pushed them on me, probably for kick backs. I had my Paragaurd IUD inserted here, it was easy, quick and with only herbal supplements I took on my own. I paid 0$ (I have insurance). Staff was very nice. Wait time about 2 hours on weekday. Bring a book.

$381 just for a consultation?? What am i donating to? This is crazy. I wont donate here again especially when they dont even help women in need. The lady that answered the phone was so rude. I hope people look into other options before going here. Both times Ive been here it has been an awful experience. Also if you are looking for an abortion they will send you 3 hours away.

I came in here due to i had symptoms that I thought may be due to pregnancy, I had a list of them written down and she had me pee in a cup and had put it on the stick thing, it came back negative and I said would it just be to early and she said maybe and I explained that at work I am starting to lift heavy stuff and she said we can do one that,can detect a little earlier. When it came back negative she didnt even ask what the symptoms were or anything. And she was kinda rude and rolled her eyes a couple times, not a good experience, the office was very clean tho.

Jenn and the MA were amazing, and the receptionist were all really discrete and helpful with my questions, I will definitely go back.

This facility is a great place to go and provides necessary services for the Kentuckiana area. The staff is helpful and friendly and can provide you with the information you need for your healthcare decisions. However, even with an appointment, you may have to wait up to 30 minutes past that time to be seen.

I brought a young Nepali refugee and was supported by a knowledgeable and friendly staff, who not only walked us through birth control options, but efficiently set us up with healthcare coverage from an office adjacent to the waiting room. Cant say enough wonderful things.

Beautiful new facility, professional and caring health providers and staff serving a diverse population of clients. Planned Parenthood provides women with examinations, mammograms, pap smears, std testing (men also). A valuable asset to a large community.

I called earlier and the person who answered not only took my call quickly but was knowledgeable about my problem and was able to give me extremely helpful information on the spot, no appointment needed! A+ staff!

I was the only patient in the building and spent an hour waiting in the back waiting room while I heard them eating lunch. I understand that lunch breaks are essential but maybe try not scheduling appointments where you ignore the patient for an hour.

The staff is very nice and this is an affordable option for folks who do or dont have insurance, the wait time for walk in appointments is long so I advise you to call ahead and make one. Otherwise youll be sitting for hours!

The absolute best staff and best place in Louisville for affordable gynecological care. Nurse Jen is the best!

Anyone else have issues contacting them? I’ve tried calling them 10 times and no one will answer the phone. I’ve left voicemails and no one returns my calls. Trying to contact them about my appointment time and no one will call me back.

The most unprofessional and rude healthcare practitioners I have encountered. The nurse practitioner yelled at me for no reason. Completely insane. Do not go there.

The cleanest and friendliest planned parenthood Ive been too. Felt very comfortable.

Still wear mask even tho hospitals dont! Get with the times!

THERE WEBSITE IS VERY MISLEADING! THEY CHARGED ME FOR A PROCEDURE THAT DIDNT END UP GETTING AND DIDNT GIVE ANY TYPE OF REFUND BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T SPECIFY THERE CLINIC PROPERLY. WORST PLACE EVER!
