We ordered a COVID test for traveling to Japan. The travel restrictions to Japan were lifted on the same day as our scheduled test. The company was either uninformed or dishonest about there knowledge of the travel restrictions. We called back later that day and asked if there was anyway they could help us out with the $350 charge. We were told it was our bad luck over the phone and that we should have known better. A company that advertises themselves as experts in travel testing should be aware of the current restrictions, especially in the countries they feature on the front page of their website. A reputable company that cares about their customers would take action to resolve these one-off situations. Please do your research and be careful when dealing with this company especially for COVID testing.

This Urgent care is amazing! There was no wait at all. I walked in and the front staff was very helpful and checked me in right away. Doctor Mann is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable the minute I started speaking with him. I will definitely come back when ever I need a Doctor. I’m, so happy to have an urgent care in the neighborhood.

I had a great experience at this Urgent Care. I was feeling pretty bad (vomiting, fever, the whole 9) and I was in need of hydration. I saw the doctor pretty fast so not much waiting...I’m very impatient. He was friendly and effective, but still taking the time to explain what he was thinking and giving me options on what I could do. The place was super clean. Hands down the best urgent care I have ever been to.

Been there twice now to receive my COVID test before traveling abroad, and they are incredibly professional and friendly! Theyve worked so hard to make sure people can still travel despite everything going on, and theyve put in so much extra effort around the holidays. Honestly, service is above and beyond!

DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC to get your test for travel. I called this company to make an appointment 28Jun 9:50am. I called within the hour at 10:56am to cancel my appointment as my husband booked one earlier for me at another location.. I was advised that the message was left with the manager and they she needed to deal with it. I never heard back that day and called again at 2:35pm. The message was left again with Jacklyn the manager. I was promised a callback that evening from 7pm-9pm.... still no callback. I received a text message from the company at 915pm that evening that my test was non-refundable. I was never made aware of that at time of booking over the phone or I would have booked elsewhere. I called again 29Jun 10:53am and left another message with the manager... and Im still waiting for a callback that was promised. I do not understand an organization that claims to care about their patients but doesnt follow through with empty promises or callbacks.

I love this place! I found it while vacationing in La Jolla, and it was very easy to find. I walk into a beautiful clinic, which also carries skincare, and was greeted immediately by a friendly staff. I was hoping I wouldnt have to wait because I had a movie time to make and they saw me immediately! I was in and out within the hour. The doctor, Dr. Mann. is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. Low cost for the visit, fast service, friendly and trustworthy staff? Dont mind if I do. Ill be back for any future needs, including skin treatments/products.

While on vacation I found myself terribly sick within the first 24 hours. I had no idea where to go so I googled the closest urgent care to where i was staying and found Medical Care San Diego. I didnt have time to look at reviews just the location and it was a blessing in disguise. At first it seemed like a day spa and I was scared that I had picked the wrong place but without enough energy to go elsewhere I followed through with the check in process. I was in and out within 2 hours and was treated very well by all of the staff, especially the office manager. They hand carried my prescription to the pharmacy down the street and even paid out of pocket for me to have something to eat so that I would be strong enough to drive home. I received such personalized care and I dont think I would have received anything close to this anywhere else. I give this place 5 stars because it is well deserved and I am very thankful for them. Less than 24 hours later and I am already back to my old self, feeling great, and ready to enjoy the rest of my vacation.

I twisted my ankle pretty badly while bike riding around La Jolla last week. It didnt seem broken but I still wanted to get a second opinion. I asked the owner of a local establishment and they recommended San Diego Medical Care on Girard Ave. Luckily it was right up the street. I limped in and they said they could see me immediately. Dr. Mann checked me out and said it was nothing serious and wrapped it up so I wouldnt aggravate it anymore. He had me out the door in under 30 minute. Their facility is very warm and welcoming. Glad he was able to take care of me without much trouble.

Very unhappy. Made an appointment for travel test leaving to USVI on Monday. The lady named Dawn made an appointment and took a non refundable $250 per person from visa. I called back few minutes later realizing there’s no need for pcr test for USVI, she would not even consider refunding or changing for rapid antigen test for lower price, which is $75 -150 per person. She was very rude and unprofessional and hung up on me after I asked to speak to someone and inquired information about her or the company. Worst experience I ever had.

Im from LA and was visiting family in Del Mar. A migraine kicked in and I needed to see a doctor asap I went to Scropps ER but they told me the wait was over three hours so I walked out.. I went to urgent care in la jolla village and they saw me right away. ....less than ten minutes!! I was so happy to receive care immediately that my headache almost lessened. I highly recommend this Urgent Care clinic. It is super clean too. Thats very important to me. The doctor was very thorough and staff were on top of it. I felt safe and there is nothing more important than that. Thank you.

I went to Medical Care on whim when I was in La Jolla not long ago. When I went in I was greeted by a friendly woman and had a nice conversation while waiting. The doctor wasnt even in that day but came over from the hospital he was at to see me! This office is a very friendly environment and you can tell they take a personal approach to each customer. Recommended to anyone needing medical care, they also double as a skin clinic. Will be back for sure.

I brought my 6 year old daughter here after she sprained her foot at the beach while running. We were warmly greeted by the staff and only had to wait a few minutes to see the doctor, who was very kind to us and gentle with my little girls foot. After just a few minutes, we were out the door with a diagnosis and treatment instructions. The staff and doctor made it so easy! Thanks very much!

On Sept. 6, 2021, I found Medical Care San Diego’s has a “bait-and-switch” business model.Summary:The Bait. For an international reservation I had to provide Monday afternoon proof of my Covid test result and for United Airlines Tuesday afternoon this proof before take-off. Yelp and Internet search indicated Medical Care San Diego was responsive and a perfect test provider. As the reservation was quite important, I visited the clinic on Thursday, Sep. 2, 2021. Dr. Mann stated, if I show-up for my Covid test at 9:00 or 10:00 am, and results would be provided (about 6-hours) later Monday afternoon, Sep. 6, 2021. It was clear Monday was Labor Day. The clinic’s homepage states, “Expedited RT-PCR Test with Results in 6 Hours Travel Certificate.” The price is $350.00 pre-pay. For me it was an expensive but necessary expense.The Switch. On Monday it was a different story. A condescending Medical Care San Diego nurse said it was impossible for any test result until Midnight, and no refund is possible. I must be aware everyone in San Diego knows it’s Labor Day and labs results by afternoon are impossible.Dumb me. There was no ‘mis-speak,’ I fell for a calculated “bait-and-switch” fraud.The test results received via email arrived just after 11:00 pm (the overseas delay was resolved with difficulty).In hindsight midnight Covid test results are available 24/7 by multiple San Diego medical organizations, such the one as the Sheraton Airport Hotel for $200.00, others are less. These are honest medical providers at ½ the price of Medical Care San Diego.Validation of fraud in the attachment:1. 24-hour $199 and 6-hour $350 Travel Certificates.2. Client Paid $350.00 for the 6-hour Travel Certificate.3. Specimen not sent to Lab for 7-hours (after Receipt of Payment for a 6-hour ‘Expedited Test’).

BEWARE!I booked a Covid tests 3 weeks in advance and paid in full per their recommendation. The next day I tried canceling and got a phone number run around and finally when I got a REAL number the following day I was told NO REFUNDS... if only I would have called earlierTWO WEEKS STILL IN ADVANCE and they refuse to cancel/ refund!

They were very helpful with the antigen test needed for our international travel, spoke with Michelle on the phone. and when we walked in, Raphael greeted us right away. this place is very clean and staff are very professional.

I needed a fit-to-fly certificate for my upcoming trip to Thailand. Dawn, Dr. Mann, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure I received the form I needed in a very timely fashion. They were patient, caring, and efficient. I would give more than 5 stars if I could, definitely recommend!

I was visiting San Diego and a friend referred me to this urgent care. Their was no wait time and I was so impressed by the professionalism of Dr.Mann and the staff. Friendly environment, cleanliness, and attentive customer service. Definitely will return if ever in the area again and a problem arises.

La Jolla is a great spot for kayaking and water sports, and this clinic is very convenient because I ended up having to get stitches from my kayaking adventure. I was recommended to Scripps but its pretty far and I know Id be there for way longer. When I googled urgent care spots, I found this one and Im so satisfied! Im already back out in the sun enjoying my weekend and it was a really good price. Next time you need urgent care, Id recommend here over Scripps unless you want to wait all day to be seen.

I had to take my little brother to the clinic to get his physical done for his sports team.Really nice clinic, it looks so fancy! The girl at the front desk, I didnt catch her name but we had such a nice conversation while waiting for my brother to finish. Im gonna be back for a facial in the near future!!

I desperately needed a QR code on my covid test on the fly before my flight to Egypt. Even though, they were booked against the wall, they squeezed me in and delivered their results super fast! For me the delivery only took like 4 hours! Amazing. They were also patient, kind, communicative, and delivered professionally—even though I was flustered. Because of their quick delivery, I was able to catch the following early morning flight. No problems whatsoever. Qr code seems to do the trick. And everyone’s happy. Lol. Thank god I found these guys. I desperately google searched how the frick to acquire a QR code for my stupid covid test. There was like no services available anywhere online that I could find. Just a few sites telling me I needed to get it, but not how or where lol. Thank god these guys were available in the google search. Actually, they were the only ones I could find. I live in Florida so there’s not really anywhere I can go at the time of this writing to go get a qr code for my test. Countries are making up new restrictions on the fly even when most of the world can’t yet supply what they demand. Anyway, I’m so thankful these guys were around and ahead of the worldly rules. Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done. I probably would have had to cancel the whole trip and wait several months for the US to start giving us a way to get QR codes for tests. Thanks to these guys, I got to go. And my schedule was barely inconvenienced because of how fast they delivered. I see no reason not to recommend them. I have no idea what any of the negative reviews are talking about. Lol.

DO NOT GO HERE. First of all, they dont take insurance, which they failed to mention over the phone. Secondly, the doctor didnt check me at all. I went in with a super painful throat infection and he basically shined a light in my mouth and said minor throat infection then prescribed me a z pack and told me to take 4 motrin and 2 tylenol extra strength THREE TIMES A DAY. Thats 18 pills.....He didnt listen to my heart, or take my temperature, or blood pressure. As I was walking out, he was like oh are you allergic to any medications. It was hands down the most unprofessional scam of a visit Ive ever had at an urgent care. I ended up going to Anderson Medical Center in PB 2 days later where they prescribed me the right antibiotics and gave me a cortisone shot...wasnt as minor as the doctor said. Im not the type of person to leave a bad review, but this was really wrong, counterproductive to my health, and expensive.

My fiancée and I were just doing some shopping and stopped in because he needed a refill on his prescription. After talking to the doctor, my fiancée and the doctor actually decided on some new and way better meds! We were able to pick them up from a place a few doors down and continue our day out. My fiancée cant stop going on about how much hes glad he switched medicines, thanks to Dr. Manns recommendation. He really knows his stuff, and we will definitely have to return next time we need, or just to visit this cool place. Maybe get some skincare next time because they had some really awesome products up front!

I’m a local in La Jolla and was pleasantly surprised to find out that we now have an urgent care in town. Medical Care San Diego is a new addition to La Jolla Village and a much needed one. Now at days, ER visits often have three or more hours of waiting time just to get some face time with a doctor. This simply isn’t an option for a family with three young kids under the age of eight like myself. My kids are constantly getting ill or getting small cuts and bruises from playing too rough. If I had to rely on going to ER every time my kids get hurt, it would be terribly inefficient. It’s also nearly impossible to get my kids to sit still for that long when they are not feeling well.

My Daughter was not feeling well and we went to see Doctor Mann. I was impressed with the professional service he provided for my daughter. Their staff was welcoming and their was no long wait time like usual urgent cares.

I needed a Covid test at 3am for a 7am flight at LAX. They met me at 3 in the morning, I got tested, and results within 30 min… absolutely outstanding. Thank you again guys!

I called and asked several times for a receipt and they refuse to provide me a copy. I was told it was the least of their priority to do so. I paid almost 1200 dollars for four exams. The least they can do is provide a simple receipt.

The clinic feels like a spa instead of a medical facility -- very pleasant and soothing. I was seen quickly and professionally, and was on my way to the pharmacy down the street in no time at all. Big relief.

My daughter and I went to the clinic when she got sick at the end of our visit to San Diego and Im glad we chose this clinic. Quick and friendly service, with a fair price for our visit, keep up the good work guys!

CVS computers wasn’t working today and I need a PCR covid test for international traveling tomorrow and I just got my test over here in the clinic and They told me the result be will as soon as possible in the morning and I’m so happy that they take care of me and save my flight tomorrow .

I wouldnt choose anywhere else to go when I need medical care; Ive been here a dozen times and they always form a personal bond with their clients new or returning. Not to mention its refreshing having such down to earth people in La Jolla!
