AFC Urgent Care Kennesaw

My son was having an asthma exacerbation with a upper respiratory virus. As a nurse, I was impressed with the professional and caring way that we were treated from the minute we walked in till the time we walked out. The front desk representative at checkin in was caring and very knowledgeable. The nurse practitioner was kind, knowledgeable, and was a great listener. It’s challenging enough for offices and providers to handle the amount of patients that get seen in a day. When all the team members in an office go above and beyond and show how much they care about their patients, that is what makes a practice stand out above the rest. We were in and out in less than an hour. Kudos to AFC urgent care for being the example of professional and caring patient centered care that other practices should model.

This was the greatest experience ever of entering urgent care or any medical facilities. From the nurses to the doctor herself, their reassurance and care was comforting.

Staff are nice and helpful. Service was awesome from the nurse really showed that they care. Dr. Evan was really nice very informative and transparent. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to this urgent care. Thank you all for taking care of me and my family.

The highest of recommendations!!! This is the only urgent care I will ever take my family to again! The staff is incredibly caring and helpful, and they always get us in and out so quickly! With my daughter having started school, the new illnesses are quick to follow, and every time she comes down with something I know (appointment or not) I can count on them to see us SUPER quickly! Everyone that works there takes the time and care to make my daughter feel safe and welcomed, so shes no longer afraid to go see the doctor. The front desk staff are ALWAYS so sweet and my daughter loves to see them! All of the nurses and doctors are so great with kids, I genuinely wont take my daughter anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend this urgent care if you are ever in need of assistance, but dont need to see the emergency room! Theyve been a godsend for our busy family every time we go in. Im so grateful for everything you all do here, and for how immaculate the place always is.*And I just tried the coffee you keep up front for the first time today and even that was amazing!! Highly recommend! Got on the waitlist online - filled out all my paperwork prior to arriving- had no wait! Carrie was so kind and helpful during my visit- ended up needing an X-ray and she was super patient and had great bedside manner.Afterward I saw NP Evan who took the time to listen and explain what my diagnosis was, and how they could treat me.I was in and out super quick!Very clean, friendly and easy!!

Carrie is very sweet and patient focused. She understood the burning from a steroid shot and was so kind. NP Rona was nice and ordered everything I needed done. Thank you AFC for the help tonight. I was miserable when I walked in here tonight and Im hopeful Ill be on the mend when I walk out of here. On a side note, AFC was the only urgent care with available last minute appointments. 🙏

My husbands visit was good. Dr. did the job and was prescribed scripts.The real issue is the companies billing policy and procedure.The appointment was in 09/2024. We received a statement 12/2024. They billed our insurance an extremely excessive amount of nearly 700.00 dollars. We had a balance due of 72.22, we paid immediately the day we received the statement.My husband received a harassing phone call from a New Jersey number asking why we have not paid our bill. We literally just received the statement a day ago and it was paid the same day.We will not be returning and we will not be sending anyone to these locations.DO BETTER, by your customers! The ones that pay pride themselves on paying their bills and debts.

I can’t wait to get sick again!This place is awesome! I have never had a positive experience at any urgent care, but this place is actually fantastic! Very friendly staff, helpful, caring, and knowledgeable practitioners. I went in with an earache, and found out that I have a lot of built up ear wax. They cleaned it out right then and there. Super nice, no nonsense, no bs charges. Love it! Thanks Evan and staff 🙏

Wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible, the doctor there must’ve gotten his degree from temu or something. He gave attitude and acted clueless the whole time. Paid for a covid and flu test just for them to only test for covid (not testing for the flu) which came back negative, forcing us to go to the ER and retest for covid and the flu, and the flu test came back positive. This mishap and unprofessionalism from this urgent care caused us to pay out of pocket for the ER bill, which could have been avoided if they had given us the test paid for.

They are very nice and loving. I would highly recommend them as it was no wait time. I was in and out. Thank you for caring about my needs

Called them on the phone to see if I could use my insurance, Cigna threw them for a physical, the young lady that answered the phone said yes, then put me on hold to confirm, then came back on the line and confirmed yes they could. I drove all the way there just to be told oh Im sorry we cant smh... REALLY!?! unprofessional to say the least! 2 thumbs down!!! Stop playing with peoples time

Came for neck pain. Great service and I did not have to wait long! Evan was nice enough to take the time to thoroughly explain exercises to improve my neck stiffness. If you’re looking for expert care I would recommend coming here.

Dr. Evan Thompson was absolutely wonderful. I received the best care from him and the staff. I felt like he actually cared about my health. Flory was also amazing and gentle. Everyone was great but special shout out to Dr. Evan Thompson and Flory! 10/10 recommend.

The entire staff from front desk, to Nurse, to Provider were all incredibly kind, patient, reassuring and most importantly nonjudgmental.They listened objectively and made extensive efforts to identify and address the root cause of my situation. I never felt rushed or that it was taking too much of their time. Again rare. Especially in an urgent care situation.They truly put the care into their urgent care!The kindness, compassion and willingness to actually be of help and not dismissive is unfortunately so rare nowadays. It was a relief and a very refreshing experience despite the reason for my visit.The Provider and Nurse even both physically escorted me to my car. Above and beyond efforts and a great interaction. My first positive Provider experience in years!

Very fast and lovely service! In and out for a fractured rib in less than an hour. Staff were really sweet. Highly recommend coming here for your urgent care.

A fantastic place to go for urgent medical care.We went to Wellstar last night and left after learning that the cost of service was going to exceed $500 for a triage of an arm injury. The same care at AFC was covered under my insurance copay.Great staff, clean offi e prompt care.

Great visit to AFC Urgent Care. Fast, professional, and thorough in their diagnosis process. All the test results were done in minutes. Highly recommend this spot when you are not well.

Overall great experience. Staff is friendly, doctors are very knowledgeable. Went in do to crohns illness and was all back to normal after 45 minutes! Highly recommend this location.

Staff was very nice however i’m giving one star due to quality of service. The lady removing my stitches had extremely shaky hands which made me nervous because the stitches were on my eyelid. To make matters worse, this morning i found a small leftover piece of the stitches still in my eyelid wound. I paid $60 to end up having to finish the job for her. I honestly feel like i could’ve done a better job than her. How do you not see that there’s still a string in my wound?

We brought our infant daughter to your clinic after she had been experiencing a persistent fever for several days. She was already on antibiotics, and we were seeking professional medical guidance to understand and address her condition.Regrettably, our visit to your facility left us alarmed and unsatisfied for several reasons:1. Inappropriate Medical Advice: We were advised to use NyQuil, DayQuil to manage her symptoms. These medications are not safe or appropriate for infants, and this advice displayed a troubling lack of understanding of pediatric care.2. Dismissive Assessment: The individual who examined our daughter claimed her red ears were due to “screaming” and offered no further insights or tests. This felt dismissive and failed to address our concerns.3. Unclear Qualifications: It was only after the visit that we learned the person examining our daughter was not a doctor. This was not communicated during the consultation, and we expected our daughter to be seen by a qualified physician.Due to the lack of appropriate care and alarming recommendations, we left your facility and went directly to the emergency room for a second opinion. The ER staff determined that our daughter needed a change in treatment and administered intramuscular antibiotics through shots to her legs over three days. This urgent intervention underscores how crucial it was for us to seek a professional opinion after the inadequate care at this clinic.This experience has raised serious concerns about the standards of care provided at your urgent care facility, particularly for young children. I urge you to review this incident thoroughly and take steps to ensure:• Medical advice given is evidence-based and appropriate for the patient’s age and condition.• The qualifications of staff are clearly communicated to patients.• Providers take patient concerns seriously and investigate them thoroughly.I hope my feedback will prompt meaningful improvements so that no other family has to endure a similar experience.

This office is awesome the staff is super friendly and the dr is amazing. He listens to your concerns and explains things very well. Highly recommend. I have been to them a few time for everything from feeling sick to a possible broken ankle! Love them

I will drove to wade green location from now on even though the bells ferry location is less than a mile from my house because they cant seem to open on time. Today I went there and a lady finally showed up late then said they cant open till 10am that was no help to sick people who feel bad. The wade green location got me in and out and taken care of!! Visited with my sick daughter over the weekend and everyone I interacted with was professional and the staff did a very thorough job. My daughter even said “I hope we come back here” on the way out the door. 😄Returning today for myself.

I had an allergic reaction and I left my epipen at home. I ran in the they quickly got me back into a room rendered immediate care. They know exactly what to do and I’m so grateful!

The lady at the front desk , was amazing , sweet and caring from Yesterdays phone call to todays visit , Chris has taken care of me twice and hes been a rockstar ! Super fast service . In and out within an hour .

Very friendly office. The doctor and staff are super friendly and professional. I was able to reserve a spot online and was in and out in 30 minutes. The nurse got me back quick. The doctor took her time explaining everything. I didn’t feel rushed at all. The location is super convenient as well. Under ten minutes from my house and right next to a Walgreens to get prescriptions. I’ll definitely be back.

I came first thing in the morning. Was checked in and seen with no problems. Everyone was super nice and I’m leaving with my problem solved. They accepted my Medicaid too!

Everyone here is so friendly! I saw them without insurance, and from what I checked they are the most affordable in the area. We had some technical issues, but the woman at the front is very personable and nice. The doctor I saw was also extremely kind and made my case of strep a quick appointment! When I wasnt feeling better in a week all I had to do was call, and I got another prescription that worked a lot better! Their hospitality cant be beat 🤗

I used to go to AFC back home, so it was nice to have some familiarity. Plus the staff were extremely kind and patient. No wait time for me and quick in and out! It was a great experience, especially when you arent feeling great!!

The staff here are absolutely amazing!!!!!! Very courteous, professional, fast and knowledgeable. Making an appointment is easy due to being able to do it online. Definitely recommend coming here for any urgent care need that you may have!

Great experience! everyone was very nice and everything was done in a timely fashion. as for price, its $175 for the general check-up and prescription and i got a strep test for an extra $50 which isnt too bad but i wouldnt say its incredibly affordable either. all in all, i highly recommend coming here over some other urgent cares in the area.

We went for a sore throat , registration was quick, after that we wait for a very short time and we went into the rooms were some tests were conducted, results came quick and the prescription sent to our pharmacy. Absolutely loved it. Got to see both of my kids back to back with no problem. Easy to make the appointment online and takes ALL insurances. They are very patient and professional with kids. Definitely my first pick whenever I need myself or my kids to get seen. Thank you!

I saw Tina, NP this am 5/26/24. She was very warm with clear & great communication. She listened to me , completed my exam, gave me what I needed to continue my care at home 1-2 days. She assured me I did the right thing coming in before my Asthma got worse.The front desk person, Lexi was the intro for me to the clinic as she took my call answered my question as well as checking with the dr.Overall 5 stars for me. I highly recommend them Thank you all.

Went there for shoulder pain. Everyone was very nice and courteus. Medical staff listened to me and then diagnosed. Was relatively quick for an urgent care. Will definitely return again if needed. Highly recommend.

I came in for the first time today feeling *terrible* and the first face that greeted me was that of Meghana, who was absolutely lovely and insanely efficient. I checked in early online so I was only sitting for about 2 minutes before I was seen. Once I went back, Carrie, the MA, and Tina, the NP, were both very thorough and listened to my issues and got me sorted quickly. The office itself is nearly spotless too, which is a plus. I can’t say enough good things about the people, 100% recommend.

These ladies are on it. I will be coming here for any urgent needs. I was in and seen within 7 min that does include checking in and then getting my insurance info. The nurse came and was so attentive. Then the doctor came and was just a doll. She was so informative and empathetic. I felt very comfortable and will refer anyone here. They are worth it.

Im gonna start by saying this Everyone was very kind and I got in and got seen pretty quickly I felt like I was in great hands …unfortunately that was NOT the case and I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RETURNING here they had me believing I had tested positive for an STI/ STD so they told me to go to the Acworth health department and I’ll be given a shot Which didn’t happen but I’m glad I listened I got there they asked me more follow up questions and ran all the proper test saying that the AFC Urgent Care should have done them and then gave me another blood test come to find out I never had it can you imagine thinking your taking care of yourself and being safe just to then be told you have an STI/STD this greatly had me stressing out questioning myself as well as the status of a new relationship I’m grateful for the fact that I went to the Acworth Department of Health because without The people there who actually did their job (Nicole and two more nurses I can’t remember but thank you 🙏🏽) I’d still be out here thinking I have Syphilis over a Damn Cold sore .NOT HAPPY Out $300 Dollars and was out here Stressed 😫
