Amy Sorrells, MD

I love Dr Sorrells. There’s no complain there but the staff at Kansas City, Ks is terrible I’ve had a couple of terrible instances, first I was doing a fertility treatment and I still had a couple more to go and the staff decided that I’ve had enough even if that’s not what the Dr and I had agree on I didn’t get a say and nor they never explained why. I tried explaining to them and they were rude and condescending and said that’s what the Dr had requested although that was never made aware to me so they referred me to someone else. thankfully I found a wonderful clinic that doesn’t treat patients terrible. A month went by and got a called saying they made a mistake and that I could continue with the treatment and being the sane person I didn’t continue with them. Now fast forward 3 months I called late nov to make an appointment with Dr. Sorrells they didn’t have appointment soon at the Kansas City clinic (understandable) and said she made an appointment at the Olathe office well I called today asking to reschedule turns out the front desk never made the appointment. I don’t want to change OB, because I love Dr Sorrells.

I have never had any issues with my visits until this last one. I dont know if it was the time of day (4pm) or what but the whole appointment felt rushed. I know Dr Sorrells is naturally a loud, fast speaking person and Ive been ok with that - shes always in a GREAT mood! But my last visit I felt invalidated and rushed through - Ive never left an appointment feeling like I hadnt been heard, but I was in tears as I went out to my car. Just frustrated and I didnt feel like they truly took the time to listen to my concerns. Will probably be seeking a new OB for future visits.

Dr. Amy Sorrells is by far the best I have ever seen. She is a doctor that listens to your issues, discusses the options with you like a friend and takes immediate action. I have referred every female in my circle to her and will continue to do so.Thank you Dr Amy for being so amazing at your job.

Dr. Sorrells is wonderful!! She truly cares about patients’ well-being. She’s friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate OBGYN.

I just moved from Colorado and was able to establish care very quickly and get scheduled for a surgery right away. Dr. Sorrells was absolutely amazing and listened to all my needs. Im was impressed with staff and nurses for getting me in so quickly and taking care of me. Best practice ever!!!

Dr Sorrells is awesome she is very helpful and knowledgeable. Always answered all my questions and helped me with my pregnancy questions .

She is amazing and has delivered 3 of 5 of my children! She absolutely listens to everything you have to say and genuinely cares about her patients
