I’m pretty picky about doctors and treat choosing a doctor with just as much care as choosing a relationship. Dr. Caruso came highly recommended and he lived up to the hype. He was professional yet personable. I could tell that he is very knowledgeable and stays current with his specialty which engendered confidence in his recommendations. He walks the talk and his staff follow. Sunny and the front desk staff were also polite and professional but friendly. It’s a long drive but worth it to be in good hands. Without reservation, I recommend Dr. Caruso.

Waited 2 months for an appointment then when I arrived I presented my drivers license and medicaid number and the very rude front desk refused to see me even though I had a letter from medicare with my number clearly evident. If the quality of care in this office is reflected in their office staff, chose another practice.

I saw Dr. Caruso for a second opinion. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, sensible, and concerned. The wait time was long both to get an appointment as well as the wait in the lobby but Dr. Caruso took his time during appt and was thorough. I would highly recommend his practice.

The Dr. is very professional BUT I arrived for my appointment 30 minutes early & waited more than an hour after my appointment time before being taken back to exam room. Then I sat for almost 30 more minutes before the Dr. arrived. Im grateful it is not the Season which means usually waiting over 2 hours past appointment time. There were only 2 men before me when I arrived. Im not the office manager but there must have been a ton of men in the back when I arrived & there must be a back exit door that I dont know about. Im only satisfied for the Dr. & his professionalism. Thanks

I’ve been to other Urologist and from my experience I can say Dr Caruso is highly experienced and offers the best care. He is thorough and offers effective diagnostics. I’ve seen others comment on negative experiences with wait times, but I’ve only experienced moderate delays and for me that is just the cost of quality care. Also, shoutout to his office staff, Sunny & Jennifer. Very friendly and professional.

Dr Caruso is very nice, calming, makes you feel comfortable. He answers all quedtions you may have and explains everything he is gonna do. We have been going to him over 8 years now. Highly recommend him.

If you are looking for a urologist, look no farther than Dr. Caruso. The friendly doctor takes the time to listen to the patient and is not in any hurry to exit the room while the patient is speaking to him. He is methodical in his sequence of testing to achieve the best care of his patients. I rated him at 5 stars-the max, but would give him more than 5 if possible.

I had an issue that needed immediate attention. Even though their schedule was full on a Friday afternoon they worked me in. Dr Caruso is one of the best Doctors I have ever had. And there have been many.

One big star is for the staff…kind and caring, and so welcoming. First let me say, I dont think I have EVER left a disparaging review for anyone. This encounter bothered me so much throughout the day and night. This morning I had a request from the practice to leave a review. So here goes…The visit with the Dr. Kaveh Besharat M.D. was surreal…he was such a rude person. I almost got up and left after the first 2 minutes with him. He had a horrible bedside manner. You dont expect that from a young Physician, do you?He started with something like “WHAT did you come HERE for and WHO told you to come?” No introduction, no eye contact, just a little shock to my system that women dont seem to be welcome.As I was answering, he was interrupting and talking over me. I said, I was actually told by my obgyn to see a urologist to check for kidney stones… He even said, why didnt SHE do this, she is urogynocology isnt she? I said, my mistake, I guess I should have gone to a Nephrologist.When he began telling me the other procedures he planned to do I immediately declined. I couldnt wait to leave, much less come back for more. At that point all I needed was a scan to be ordered and I would take it from there.In hindsight…during the last three years I have been in and out of doctors offices with my late husband, who passed away a few months ago. I saw SUCH compassionate care at Jupiter Medical and the highest level of care at Sloane Kettering and NYU Langone in NYC. So I guess I wasnt expecting such a cold and negative visit for myself right here at home in Jupiter. Live and learn. (and perhaps female doctors only from here on!)

I have been seeing Dr Caruso since 2019 he discovered my Bladder Cancer at a very early stage. It took about 3 years of procedures until the Cancer was eliminated. I now only go back to him once every 6 months for check ups. So far so good. He is definitely the best.

Dr. Caruso is very professional in every way possible. Always addresses my concerns, explains things thoroughly, always pleasant to talk with. One of my very favorite doctors!

Could not ask for a more caring, knowledgeable doctor. If you are facing any urology needs I highly recommend Dr. Caruso. I am sure that Dr Caruso is good at what he does. However, we waited one hour before Dr Caruso came into the exam room. During that time no one apologized for the delay. No one knew why he was late and I feel as if we don’t matter as no one checked on us to tell us that he is still with a patient. When Dr Caruso finally came into the room he was appalled at our need for a word of apology for his lateness. He did say it was due to (sadly) a patient who was diagnosed with cancer and that is more important. We agreed, however, you have a staff of people who could have told us and if we needed to leave due to timing then we could have rescheduled. We suggest that your staff know what is going on and don’t have patients waiting in lobby or exam room without keeping us informed. It is a courtesy that we see at all our other doctor offices and suggest that you change the attitude in your office.

Love Doctor Caruso. He is very good at explaining things. Great bedside manner. If you have any questions he takes his time with you. Ive been seeing him for quit afew years. Definitely would recommend.

Dr Caruso does an excellent job. Dedicated to his patients and their well-being. His biggest challenge is that there is only one of him against many of us. He is an excellent physician. His attention to each patient and to case details is uncommon. His empathy and respect for each of his patients is amazing. He is a wonderful physician in every sense of the word.

I was called in for my office visit with Dr. Besharat promptly. The nurse efficiently checked my vitals and reviewed my history. Dr. Besharat followed shortly and discussed my symptoms. He explained his findings and discussed his plan going forward. I recommend considering Dr. Besharat if you need a urologist.

After several years going to this doctor, he is no better than the rest who has no time to discuss their problems and get back with them after tests are performed. Unfortunately practicing medicine is not what it used to be even 10 years ago.unless you have a concierge doctor. Their stafff is abrasive as well. This is an updated review

He had zero care of wanting to try help me at all even though I had UTI for over 4months blood in my urine for years and have kidney stones and issues peeing! He wasnt nice at all and sent me away in pain with not wanting to do anything at all to test me for these problems he really made me feel like garbage!

I had a 9:30 appointment and arrived at 9:28. There was no mention that Dr. Caruso had an emergency that morning. Also no mention of the fact that the PA/NP was no longer there. I got to see the Dr. at 11:30 and left at 12p (missing another Dr. appt). If the Dr. had an emergency, they should have a process that call me to let me know there will be a delay in the office. I should have the option of rescheduling or coming in a little later. Once the Dr. came into the exam room, he was very professional.

Dr Besharat was very good. Explained everything and really listened and addressed my concerns not to mention removed a large kidney stone with one procedure

Dr. Beshrat and Dr. Caruso are awesome Physicians. Both are very mannerable with great bedside manners. The patience that they show towards their staff is comforting to feel. They share a very relaxed office environment. Get you in and out quickly. I’m so happy to be a part of the family.

I would recommend Dr Caruso who I have been seeing for many years. Originally I was dealing with an above 5 - 6PSA, had a biopsy which was negative and in the last 2 years PSA has dropped to as low 1.93 to my most recent visit (June 19, 2024) of 2.73. If you see Caruso at least once to twice a year the wait in the waiting room may take a bit longer but it’s hit and miss. This last visit I was in and out in 1 hr. Staff is fine.

I have been going to Dr Caruso for over 10 years now and willnever change to another urologist. He is exceptionally skilledwith a great bedside manner. In my opinion, he is the best in our area. And a great human being as well.

Wait time in office was excessive. I arrived at 0925 and saw the Dr. at 10:45.I appreciate Dr. Carusos thoroughness and professionalism, although it appears his front office is continually in a state of flux.As I was sitting in his office, one of his staff called my home to see if I was going to make my appointment.

As usual my yearly appointment with Dr Caruso. Am lucky to have him as my urologist!

I was satisfied with my doctor visit, which I would give 5-stars, however, upon my departure, I waited for a few extra minutes because the two ladies at the front desk were talking. Instead of pausing their conversation to wait on me they continued. It was apparent, the conversation wasnt significantly important. I would just suggest that perhaps they receive a little more training on awareness of taking care of the patient before chatting about their personal activities. I think that could correct the situation so it reduces the likelihood of it happening again to other patients. Thank you.

The wait in this office can be long, so I was happy to have an 8 AM appointment one morning. When I arrived and signed in, I learned that there were 4 8 AM appointments. I saw Dr Caruso at 10:20. Once I saw him, i liked him, and he did not rush me at all, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he had people waiting for hours. A good Doctor and a terrible office. One of the worst run offices in Palm Beach as one of his fellow doctors put it to me. Today, my last visit, to this office, I tried to drop off a report of a MRI I had in NY that Dr. Carusos nurse had asked for, and I was told by the very rude receptionist that I needed to make an appointment to drop off the report. Co-pay harvesting I guess.

My office visit was a frustrating experience as I waited for over an hour to see Dr. Caruso. There were other patients who had been waiting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours to see the doctor. Despite the long wait, I must say Dr. Caruso is a phenomenal doctor, and I would highly recommend him. While I fully understand that Dr. Caruso is busy, patients time is just as essential as the doctors. Therefore, they need to work on their appointment scheduling so that patients dont have to wait for 2-3 hours to see the doctor. My three-star review is based solely on the appointment scheduling and not on my review of Dr. Caruso, who I would give five stars!

Although the office is very busy, the staff and Dr. Caruso conveyed the clear impression that they view and treat clients as individuals, rather than as just cogs on an assembly line. When test results revealed serious medical issues, Dr. Caruso himself called me to recommend treatment options, as well as a qualified physician to whom I could be referred.

I have been to this office 3 times and have had an excellent and professional experience each visit! I also appreciate that my appointment was scheduled for 2pm and I saw Dr Caruso at 2pm! Also the staff is great!

Dr Caruso is empathetic, knowledgeable and intelligent.The wait for seeing him is incredibly long. Two hours. Getting replies from his office and staff is also very hard. Days go by with no reply to phone messages. If you can put up with that then fine but be prepared if you have a 4:00pm appointment you may be finished at 6:30pm if you are lucky b

The Dr is very easy to talk to and seems personable. I have not experienced any long wait times for my appointments. He appears to be aggressive when it comes to taking care of my kidney stones which I like. Im 67 yo and have had over 80 kidney stones from the age of 18 so yes I have lots of experience with different Urologist .

The absolute worst medical experience I’ve ever had in my life. Dr. Kaveh Besharat deserves ZERO stars for the act he pulled on me today in the exam room. The most unprofessional doctor I’ll never visit again. I will be filing a complaint with my insurance provider. I do not recommend Oceanside Urology to anyone who is interested in quality health care.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, I thought nurse Wanda was very professional, she explained each step of her treatment. I cannot say enough positives about her bed side manner. Dr Basherat explained everything in detail helping me to understand my current status as well as my next steps. In closing it was a very positive experience at a time when I was not feeling well,

I take my mother here for her kidney stent mainly. We usually have long wait times, but yesterday it went very quickly, even with a waiting room almost full. Dr. Caruso has taken excellent care of my 88 year old mom. Would definitelyrecommend his services.

Saw the doctor the other day - still the same. Been dealing with Dr. Caruso for many years. Not fond of doctors, but he is an exception. down to earth, easy to talk to and gives a damm.

My positive response relates to Dr Caruso. Only issue I had was that the office is so busy and there is often a long wait when you have an appointment. I took this as Dr. Caruso and his partner are good at what they do and have more patients than they otherwise might be able to handle. Well-coordinated and efficient administration of medical services. Update of computerized medical records by physicians assistant and thorough explanation of medical procedures by physician. Coordination of billing between departments needs to be improved because Ive experienced issues twice.

I met with Dr. Caruso for an issue that I was having, he is a good listener, good bedside manner and is very thorough. He speaks to you in easy to understand terms and he takes the time to answer all your questions. The staff is courteous and works well as a team.

The office staff was great. The doctor was arrogant.

I was a new patient, so I was aware that paperwork had to be processed, etc. However, I entered the office at 2 pm and did not leave until after 5 pm. 3 Hourr Ugh. Wait time was way too long and I only saw the doctor for less than 10 minutes. Unacceptable! I cannot say the Dr. Is excellent given the few minutes I was able to see him!

I am a 69 year old male; this was my first visit to Dr. Caruso.The front office staff was polite, professional and efficient.After a brief wait I was escorted to an exam room and was met, again by a very professional, polite and knowledgeable young woman, Dr. Caruso PA. (Im terrible with remembering names...she was really good.)She confirmed my file information and proceeded with a preliminary exam.Shortly thereafter Dr. Caruso entered the room. Introducing himself, he reviewed my file and the PAs notes. We proceeded to have a conversation of about 15 minutes, and yes it was a real conversation.A plan was decided and scheduling was arranged. When I checked out I made it a point to share with the front office staff how professional and efficient everyone was...I look forward to having these individuals as my medical team.(FYI - The office interior is a bit dated but the quality of service and care more than made up for sny shortcomings in this regard.)Respectfully, Dave K..

First visit to the office this morning and I found everyone to be very nice and informative. Lana was explained to me the things I needed to do in the office and that Dr. Caruso’s PA Amber would be in to get all my info and examine me first.Amber was great! I felt that she truly wanted to know about my health history and proceeded very nicely and professionally. Dr. Caruso was next and was extremely thorough and answered my questions. Great office!

I am a current patient of Dr Curoso, he and his staff are wonderful. He did my prostrate biopsy- he has great beside manners. The procedure was almost painless. It was over in no time. Great doctor with good skills

Waited 2 months for appointment, after waiting an hour and still not seeing the doctor and many patients walking out because of they waited over 2 hours. I was told the next appointment if left was in August. I had told her I had a 10am work appointment. The front desk was rude and care nothing about the patients nor does the doctor. I told her common courtesy would be to let the patient know either by phone or upon arrival for the appointment that the doctor is behind schedule instead of letting patients wait. She told me to take it up with the doctor. I told her I am finding a new doctor. What has happened with our medical system. I have to give it to the front desk, they were quick, prompt and professional when it came to getting my co-pay.

I find the staff (nurses and receptionist) to be extremely capable, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Caruso is also wonderful. He spends time with you and never makes you feel rushed. I am so glad that I finally came to this office, after putting it off for so long.

The staff and Amber and Dr Caruso are very patient and engaged with me and the other patients. The visits timing are always behind at least 40 minutes whether morning or afternoon appointments. This afternoon was 50 minutes behind even entering an exam room then another 20 minutes before seen by the Doctor. This understandable considering how patient they are with all the patients. Worth the waiting!!

This was one of my better visits in that the waiting time was reasonable and the waiting room was not jam packed as it usually is.I arrived at 0855, saw a PA at 0910 and after her examination I was able to see Dr. Caruso within 20 minutes, which is OK.I have criticized the practice before due to the really long waiting times as well as the poor administration work by his front desk staff. It appears that Dr. Caruso is genuinely trying to improve these areas.Frankly, I came close to changing Doctors, but I very much trust Dr. Caruso and appreciate his skills and concern for his patients, which is why I have hung in there. I realize in these difficult times it is hard to hire good admin people and staff, but not impossible. I hope this favorable trend continues.

After waiting 1 year to see Dr Besharat I had a confirmed appt at 9.30 am this morning, I showed up at the office at 9.10 am. It was raining hard outside and I had a coup of empty coffee in my hands, I respectfully asked the lady who looked like a manager behind the counter if they could dispose of the small garbage since is not a garbage recipient outside, and she answered No there is one outside look for I refuse since was raining and I said Ok I will have to dispose of outside in the ground, immediately she throw me out of the office and ordered to call the police, I walked out in disgust and I cant believe whats going on, I called to be able to speak with the Dr but I was told by the operator, that I wasnt welcome there and I need to get another Doctor. I respectfully request that your office to send me all my records so I can have another Urologist assist me. Have a nice day and Merry Christmas

Very professional group. Friendly, conscientious, knowledgeable and they make one feel at ease. Dr. Caruso is very knowledgeable and caring of his patients. All questions are answered.

The few minutes I spent with Dr. Caruso were very good. However, I was very disappointed that it was nearly 1 hour after my 8am appointment when I finally saw him. Prior to that, I spent an expected 5-10 min with his nurse and then 5 min with his intern, who I had no desire to see. Dr. Caruso should understand that his patients time is akso valuable.

This was my first time with Dr. Caruso. Unfortunately I had to wait over an hour due to emergencies, which of course happen, but I wish they had kept us informed in the waiting room. However Dr. Caruso has a great patient centered approach, conducted a very thorough examination, listened to everything I said and made good and frank suggestions for how to approach my medical situation based on what he saw and heard. There was no “overselling”, and I felt very comfortable with his professionalism and knowledge.

The staff is fantastic and Dr Caruso is a great doctor who spends a lot of time with his patients. The only issue is that you have to wait, at least 2 hours, for your appointment.

I was quickly ushered from the waiting room to have vitals taken by an assistant. Soon after that, Dr. Caruso came in and he was his usual friendly, informative, and professional self. Luckily for me, he was able to report good results from blood-work taken two weeks prior. In fact, he cut my need for check-ups from every six-months to only once per year.

Experience with dr Caruso was great. My first apt got cancelled after waiting one month was pretty mas about that. Then got one for a month after and was also modified but I was flexible with it . Would recommend, what doctor’s office doesn’t have issues with scheduling .

Front desk was very professional. Made me feel at ease before my appointment with Dr Bescherat. The assistant who took my blood pressure was very kind. She realized I was a bit nervous for my first appointment and she suggested I take a few deep breaths and relax. The doctor came in and was positive informative and reassuring. Everyone in the office is friendly and super helpful. Dr. Caruso is great. He is extremely patient in answering any concerns and questions. And has a calm demeanor that I feel true healers possess.

The care, concern and professionalism from Dr. Caruso was very refreshing. The time given in explaining was so appreciated. He did not make you feel rushed or as though he was not listening. Made sure you understood and left door open if you had any concerns later. I would recommend his practice.

Love this doctor! He has a good bedside manner, explains everything and is knowledgeable. I wish he still took my insurance I will miss him.

I was disappointed I had an appointment at 10:30 I arrived at 10:25. I waited until 1225 and still had no doctor consult with me. They charge me $35 copayment immediately when I showed up for my appointment I would like a refund of my $35 Because I got no service after two hours of waiting you should consider hiring a new scheduling clerk I’ll be watching my credit card balance to see if my $35 will be refunded.

Dr.Caruso is compassionate and through. It was my first appoint with him and I was very impressed. You can have a long wait , my appointment was at 2:30pm and I saw him at 3:15pm. He told me he runs behind as he likes to give each patient appropriate time and not rushing them in and out. I think he was worth the wait.

As the son of an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, I possess a certain insight into the intricacies of private medical practices. This background makes me all the more compelled to share a deeply regrettable and degrading encounter I recently endured at Oceanside Urology. My intention is to enlighten both current and future patients about this unfortunate incident:My interaction with Oceanside Urology left me thoroughly disappointed and compelled to share my experience. During my appointment with Dr. Caruso on July 20, I arrived with the anticipation that my blood test and renal ultrasound results, sent ahead of time, would be acknowledged and discussed. To my dismay, Dr. Caruso neither recognized nor engaged in conversation about these pivotal findings. Seeking clarity, I inquired at the front desk the same day about the status of these tests, only to be informed that they had not yet been received.Following numerous phone calls and an additional visit to Oceanside Urology, the Physician Assistant (PA) eventually conceded that the two tests had been filed under a wrong name and finally located. The PA attributed the confusion and delays to staffing limitations and assured me that Dr. Caruso would be in touch to address the prognosis. However, despite three weeks having elapsed since my appointment, I am still awaiting communication from Dr. Caruso regarding the implications of these results.Compounding my dissatisfaction, on Thursday, August 10, 2023, I visited Oceanside Urology to address a notification and ultimatum letter concerning a previously settled unpaid balance. Expressing my concerns at the front desk, I was informed that another staff member would assist me. Regrettably, the subsequent staff encounter was marked by unprofessional conduct. This staff member raised her voice and adopted a confrontational tone, effectively denying me the chance to explain my situation. This uncomfortable episode unfolded within earshot of other waiting patients, leaving me feeling diminished and disheartened.While I acknowledge that Oceanside Urology may be grappling with staffing challenges, it’s imperative to underscore that this does not excuse mistreatment of patients or negligence in their duties. It’s deeply disheartening to observe patients being held responsible for the clinic’s inadequacies.In light of the aforementioned disrespectful treatment that I regrettably experienced in a public setting, I promptly contacted the front desk at Oceanside Urology. I requested the preparation of my medical records for me to collect at the earliest convenience.

Very nice staff. Dr Caruso was really “with” me when we were together, very candid and very thorough. Plan on a long time, though, I was over an hour late seeing the Dr. and other patients said that is not uncommon.

Everyone behind the desk is great and I like Dr Caruso very much. But the waiting time is always far too long — never less than an hour. Believe it or not, my time is valuable, too. If I didn’t like and respect Dr Caruso, I would switch to another practice.

I think Dr. Besharat is an excellent physician. When I had a urinary problem he got right to the cause and discovered the cause was bladder cancer. He recommended and performed the correct surgery, and recommended and is performing the correct treatment (BCG). I am a retired engineer and I often annoy him with my many questions, but I trust him. I have placed my life in his hands.

Today I enjoyed my visit to Oceanside Urology. From the receptionist to the scheduler and all inbetween, they were courteous and caring. Dr. Caruso is worth the 40 mile trip from Port St Lucie with his personable, careful procedures. His empathy gives me confidence that he is doing his best. At times (having been a patient for 5 years) the wait was atrocious, but today was what could be expected at most care facilities. I give thanks to Dr. Caruso for his painless procedure. Also new trainee, Tamika for her friendly interest in patients; and long-time employee Tia for her following my course of treatment with concern. My memory escapes me to name the other members of the staff, but thanks to all for my progress in fighting this life threatening disease.

Diagnosed with Prostate cancer in July 2020. Dr. Caruso has performed two surgical procedures and recommended radiation therapy which I recently completed. Currently in remission. I will continue to see Dr. Caruso for follow up into the foreseeable future.I feel very confident that the medical treatment I have been receiving is of excellent quality. In addition I have found Dr. Caruso, as well as his staff, to be very thorough, compassionate and reassuring throughout my entire process.If there is any negative to mention I would say it is the occasional long wait at the office to see the Doctor. Dr. Caruso is the only person my previous uro-gynecologist refers to in the area (insurance change). I have been to others and I can understand why. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as compassionate, and I appreciate that he manages to be both thorough and conservative in approach. It can be difficult to get in to see him, but the office is very responsive if anything urgent comes up. Definitely recommend.I wrote that a while ago but just got another request to review 12/2021 (since I just saw him) and Still stand by everything I said above - I’ve seen a *lot* of doctors thanks to chronic illness, and he’s definitely one of the good ones!

As a first visit after transferring my records from my doctor in upstate NY, Doc took the time to read through my history and followed up with good questions. Changing my from my doctor of over 12 years to Oceanside was very uneasy for me but they made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.

Dr. Caruso is a great doctor and great communication skills. The problem I have is that every time I have an appointment, I have to wait over an hour after the appointment time to see him. I do not know why the staff can not properly schedule the appointments. I never spend more than 5 minutes with him so I do not appreciate the disrespect of my time.

Poor in all aspects. Scheduled a consult for a procedure, I had the pleasure of waiting for 45 minutes for being on time for my appointment so clearly he is of the belief that his time is worth more than mine. He hammered my Insurance co for $328 for a consultation visit.... Seems odd for a consultation where he is selling me a procedure. I decided to get the procedure, which I had to book 3 months in advance. I ran into a conflict with my schedule when the procedure date came near and when I tried to reschedule, he didnt have an opening for another 3 months and I was told that I needed to get another consultation..... I guess so he could hammer the Insurance again. If you wonder why your rates are so high, this is one of the reasons. The office is sub par at best, walls are paper thin, I could hear a guy screaming in pain down the hall. The office girls seem nice, but they have poor customer service to say the very least. I watched them take calls in the office to put callers on hold and eat donuts. Im sure that there are other Drs in the area, I will find a different one.

The staff who check you in and check you out as well as the medical professionals that assist with your treatment, are way above the norm. They all go over and above whats required to ensure your comfort and maintain your dignity. The medical professional who performed the intricate and complicated procedure I was in the office for could not have been any more thorough and professional, and went out of her way to ensure my comfort.Dr. Caruso himself is one in a million. A fine Doctor and surgeon and a wonderful person.

Dr. Caruso and his staff are awesome. Today was my first visit there as a new patient. I felt I was carefully listened to and I never felt rushed at all, in spite of knowing and seeing how busy the office was. The staff was very pleasant to deal with, as well. The Doctor and his nurse--I wish I had gotten her name to say here--take the necessary time to care for their patients, which makes any waiting time I spent well, well worth it. My father was a patient a couple of years back and we found and felt the same way then about Dr. Caruso and the Oceanside Urology staff, as I do today. Thanks!

I think that Dr. Caruso is a fine doctor. I do, however take issue with the office’s scheduling. I had a3 PM appointment and after leaving a urine specimen and having my blood pressure checked by an assistant, waited & waited and finally saw the doctor at about 4:30, a wait of about 1 & 1/2 hours. This is disrespectful of my time. They are scheduling too many patients per day. In the future I will only accept the first appointment of the day.

My only problem with this practice is that the wait times always seem to be excessive. I understand that things come up that cause backups but I was there for 3 hours for a routine visit and this has happened to me almost every time I have been there to some degree. I have no problems at all with the care received.

Other than not being given the paperwork to fill out when I arrived, and 3 people who came in after me going in before me. The one nurse was on it. She helped me get the paperwork done fast. I had eye surgery this Tuesday and was having trouble seeing the font. She took the clipboard from me and read me the questions. Then she wrote the answers for me. She gets a 10 on my scale. I only wish I knew her name so she could get credit for going over and above the call of duty. The doctor was great. He made me feel comfortable. He was thorough, professional, I TRUST HIM. Had an operation with Dr. Caruso and couldnt be more pleased with how it went. Be prepared to wait a while to have something scheduled but then again thats expected when someone is good at their job. Very thorough in explanation of procedure, very professional, and most importantly, efficient and communicative during the procedure. Im writing this the day after the procedure and I am in minimal pain and discomfort. The scheduling and medical staff have some communication issues but what doctors office doesnt have that problem. Highly recommended.

New to the area, with a new, very painful, medical problem, I went to another Dr, the first urologist I could get an appointment with. Horrific, painful, humiliating experience. He genuinely listens to you and remembers everything! Personable, takes time to explain your results and options to correct the problem and or get you through it. He went above and beyond to help me with a special request and succeeded.Thank you Doctor.I didnt mind waiting in my car for an hour, Yes a Dr of his caliber, may understandably run behind. What I didnt like was being called in and waiting in the exam room another 40 minutes. Id prefer to stay in my car until he was ready to see me.That being said, this practice with its organized, competent, efficient friendly staff ⚕️ I highly recommend. Covid-19 precautions are in place too. Ive worked in health care over twenty years. Grateful to be his patient.

My only complaint is the excessive wait time I always experience when I visit your practice. As with previous visits, I waited over an hour to be seen by a nurse practitioner. Your staff seems capable and pleasant, but please work on your scheduling practices.

You might have to wait a while to see the Doctor but it is well worth the wait they are the most excellent doctors I have ever been to. I have had urinary problems for over 15 years and Dr. Caruso got to the bottom of my issue. He is fantastic!

Dr is good and the nurse but the front office staff is horrible. The yelp reviews says it all I should have read those first. They are rude and don’t care about your business or you as a person they don’t care if you use them or not. I went in and was told they would let me know if my insurance would cover cost and after 2 months they never called me back so I called in. At that time they informed me that my cost would be 550 cause my insurance did not cover it and they need a deposit of 250 for surgery. Which was in less than a week but I said ok gave them deposit and was told my balance was 300 at the time of surgery. The next day I got a call from the office saying that my balance was 500 and sorry for confusion. I said no that’s not what I was told and she said sorry to bad and said I can go else where but that’s what I need to come up with for surgery which was in couple days now. She was very rude has no customer service skills and could care less of my situation and what her office said and did. Now when I get to office they had another fee for the bill I was never told about and my balance was over 600 so more than double what I was originally told. The whole process mad me upset and sick and I have never left a review on. Any company experience in my life. Cause I believe everyone makes mistakes and have bad days so I don’t want to tarnish a good company for a bad day but this office manager should be fired and front staff as well they are just hurting a Dr that is likable and talented. I have owned many businesses and if any of my employees ever did or treated my customer the way I was treated I would have fired them same day. Dr. Besharat was great. Girl at the front desk was not polite, and was unkempt. Could use a dose of kindness and a hair brush. But the physician and staff in back were very professional.

Just went in for a consult. Staff was really nice and accommodating. Dr Carusso answered all our questions patiently and never did we feel like we were being rushed at all. 10/10 recommend!

Although no one likes going to see their Urologist, Dr Besharat has a pleasant, engaging nature that makes the visit enjoyable. His staff is always friendly, and that helps too.

Doc’s care about their patients. Always ask who else you might have seen to enhance patients care overall by also getting notes from other docs as well with the objective of providing comprehensive care for their patients. Conversations in the examining room always cover the concerns patients might have.Dr. Caruso always provides a comprehensive explanation following examinations. Dr C always asks if there are any questions and reviews his notes regarding patient past and fuure care.

Dr. Caruso is an awesome doctor who actually listens to problem(s)/concerns(s) and then addresses everything. His staff is the best as well; Jasmine is very caring about the patient and demonstrates professionalism. Highly recommend for any urology problem one may be experiencing.

It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised on how efficiently the Covid guidelines were inacted. Very friendly yet efficient staff from front desk to nurses. I saw Dr. Basharat and he made me feel extremely comfortable. He answered any and all questions and concerns I had. And explained in whatever detail was necessary his findings, solutions and recommendations.I would not hesitate to go back should my needs require to do so.

Met Dr. Besharat at JMC ER when I had a kidney stone. He took very good care of me at that time. I stayed on with him as my urologist because he takes time to explain everything. I trust him and would recommend. The staff have been very helpful to me. (Sometimes it is busy and the doctors run late, but the front desk does their best to keep the office moving efficiently.) The assistants are wonderful too!

Dr. Caruso is very thorough in going over a diagnosis with the patient. He had performed two surgical procedures on me this year and I would recommend him. You will be able to understand the why’s and follow up results very clearly.

The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the long wait time. Very friendly and caring staff and doctors but a patient’s time is also valuable. If they can fix this wait time issue they are a 5 plus.

Dr Caruso is great. He spends as much time as necessary with you, answers questions and does not order unnecessary tests. I have been going to him for 5 years and expect to continue for as long as needed.

I was quite satisfied with the quality of care which I received, but would like to see the total time involved in an office visit be a bit shorter. Aside from the seeing the doctor for about ten minutes, the visit took just over two hours. I arrived at 8:30, was taken back to an examination room after 45 minutes, and saw the doctor after another 70 minutes. In the interim, I was seen by a CNA and nurse practitioner.

Gave my time slot away in less than 7 minutes of me being late to my appointment due to the fact that they never sent me their address or even phone number after promising to do so. They seemed genuinely surprised to see me when I checked in, as though the 7 minutes I was late meant I was a definite no show.I had to find their address by calling the hospital that made the appointment for me since after failing to provide me with promised contact details and failing to answer the phone in the morning I had no idea where to go.And how is it that they had someone in the waiting room at 8:30 on a Monday morning ready to jump in to a time slot for potential no show, and let that person takensaid time slot presumably at or before 8:35.I think that there wasn’t another person at all, that it was just the doctor pulling an ego/power trip and wanted to make me wait because I made him wait. If there was a person there, then what was their plan? Have both of us come in at 8:30 and have that person wait for my entire visit to finish. Either they’re lying to me, or they overbook their appointments like United overbook flights.This may be a doctors office, but it’s still a customer service driven industry, and I’ll take my business somewhere where the doctors care more about their patients’ well being than their patients’ punctuality. I understand you have a business to run, but you wrote me off in less than 5 minutes.Footnote: there seem to be multiple 5 star google reviews on their website while at the time of me writing this review there is literally only one google review currently, and it’s this one. Seems dishonesty is a trait this office shares in multiple facets of their business model.

I don’t know why doctors still book appointments and make patients wait for an hour. And, the doctor isn’t even there, it’s a physicians assistant.Had a 2 o’clock appointment and after an hour wait, I left. There are many urologists in the area to choose from.I will not be going back to Oceanside Urology.
