Midwest Express Clinic

This was my very first experience going to any type of walk in clinic, or urgent care. Therefore, when I walked in the lobby, and only saw only one person in the lobby waiting the day before New Years, I was thinking wow, this will be a right in and out type of experience. As I was waiting to see the Dr, I was thinking so much for being an express type of place, and the wait was much longer than I expected. All of those thoughts were only because I was so sick, and I didnt realize you had so many rooms already full of sick people. All lack of experience on my part. I forgot to appreciate all the people that were there working the day before New Years, helping so many sick people, instead of being home for the holiday. I also didnt realize the lobby so empty, only because your staff is really great at getting people out of the lobby area where everyone is sick, and into a reg room, which was awesome. I also had no idea how packed the emergency rooms were everywhere, and they were turning people away, which could have been the case at this Midwest Express. All complete lack of knowledge on my part. So based on what I learned after I left your place, my wait was fantastic, and perfectly fine. Way faster than the emergency, and I was sitting in a room away from the other sick people right away. The Dr was so very sweet, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She was also just getting better from her cold, and was at work helping others to feel better on New Years Eve. After I saw the Dr, and finding out how the emergency rooms were turning away people, it made me truly appreciate all of you for being there on a Holiday, and I truly appreciate all your hard work. Sometimes when you are sick, you forget to be appreciative what others have given up to help you feel better. I would highly recommend your urgent care, and will definitely come back. Went in with my son because he’s been sick the last couple weeks on and off. The lady at the front desk was so nice and pleasant and patient. It started getting busy when we got there. Everyone that we seen once we got to the back was also very nice and helpful. The Doctor my son seen was great! Didn’t make me feel rushed and listened to all my concerns even though I know she had a ton of patients. We were in and out within an hour. Definitely will be making this my go to Urgent Care from now on.

Good experience overall with Midwest express Health in Hobart. Convenient location that was close to my home and regular pharmacy. There was a wait to see a provider, but it wasnt terribly long.The nurse practitioner Keyonna was great! She was a good listener, knowledgeable, and friendly! No complaints about the receptionists or medical assistant. Thank you!

I’ve been here twice and each time, they’re very quick. I do check in beforehand, so I think that process helps immensely with wait times. I live 10 mins away, apt at 10, got there at 9:55 and could barely finish my paperwork cause I got called back. No complaints on that! Woman at the front desk was very sweet and the NP I saw was very clear, concise and to the point. She was also extremely nice. I’ve also been to the Munster location and the staff does not compare to hobarts. Zero complaints on my end, wonderful, fast healthcare!

Crystal is kind, attentive, and through. Even though I tested positive for Covid, she did not ignore my other symptoms of a secondary infection like most other clinics might have. She told me what each medication was for and why she knew it would help me with my illness. She also advised me of some simple over the counter remedies to help ease my discomfort. Midwest will always have me as a patient

In and out in about 30 mins or less. Staff friendly and professional. Doctor was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything and answer all questions that I had. I would go back for sure as it was a very good visit.

I have been here several times and everyone is very friendly and kind. The wait time is minimal, which is why I chose to go there when I’m having health issues. The Nurse Practitioners are very informative and take whatever time you need to feel comfortable with what they are telling you.

I was seen within minutes of walking in, a major plus since I am a sole caregiver and time management is very important to me! Upon leaving, I understood my diagnosis, what to watch for and when to return for a follow-up. And finally…everyone was so pleasant and caring…I fully recommend them!

Everyone was friendly, caring and exceptionally great. The nurse practitioner treated my problem with the antibiotic and worked very thorough and would definitely keep going back and telling everyone where to go if they didn’t get into their doctors or they had a problem and couldn’t you know haven’t or you don’t have a doctor go there Exceptionally, please have a great experience. Second time I.

They were wonderful. The medicine gave me instant relief. They called later to let me know what all the tests showed. Im on the mend. Thank you so much.

Hobart clinic is the best also clean and friendly in and out even with it being sick season I was there less then an hour. Amanda and Danielle were amazing and helped with all my concerns. Will definitely go back.

I cut my index finger with a box cutter and needed immediate attention. I chose to go to Midwest urgent care rather than the hospital emergency room. I had never been to this clinic before. The time spent there for the entire process was a little over an hour. The initial paperwork and check in process was simple. The nurse practitioner who attended to me was professional, confident and explained everything as we went along. Four stitches later I was on my way home. I would definitely use this clinic in the future if needed.

BEWARE!!! The providers have been absolutely wonderful and weve been here numerous times since theyve opened. HOWEVER, they recently charged my sons visit as out of network costing me almost 200$ despite my daughter and I having only a 20$ co-pay the prior day as we were given a different provider. Either the office is in network or out. You dont get to choose a provider and its unethical that we were stuck with this bill after coming here 30-40 other times with a normal co-pay. Their answer was that I need to check with my insurance to see if the provider is in network prior to visiting?!?! How does one do that when you do not know who is going to see you and you do not get to choose a particular provider. NEVER AGAIN.

From the moment you walk in the door. The girl up front has kind eyes and is super nice. Super clean, prompt and the nurse Practioner was lovely!

Came in two days ago with bad Covid symptoms. Zero wait time and thorough testing conducted. The doctor was extremely nice and explained all of my options completely. Was prescribed meds for my two most urgent symptoms and was given solutions for the others. Feeling better already. Very satisfied

My daughter had a great experience she had made an appointment online for her 3 yr old did all the check in stuff online an when she arrived she was greeted an everyone was very kind and they had called her right back for her appointment no wait time and the doctor was very kind and informative with stuff highly recommended coming instead of having to go to the ER

They were great with my son and made him comfortable. Great bedside manner and fast service. I will definitely take him back there!

I checked in online and when I got to the express clinic they had me seen diagnosed and on my way to get my prescription in less than 5 mins. Amazing care and the people were warm and friendly I will definitely refer other people to this express clinic which is true to its name.

While visiting my parents from out of state, my sinus/sore throat/ear symptoms continued after antibiotics. My visit from start to finish at Midwest Express Clinic was excellent. Friendly, respectful, understanding, highly competent staff. No wait. Finished in 45 minutes. Clean. Safe. Professional.

Smooth and painless process to get checked in, even though I hadnt been there previously. Medical assistant was thorough and professional. Doctor was great, and set me up with prescriptions and a COVID treatment plan. Great job by everyone at this location.

I fell outside, hurt my wrist and foot. I was having a full-blown panic attack as well. Every single one of the ladies there understood that I was very upset. They all tried to calm me while treating me. I would not hesitate to go here again.

This was my third visit to this location. It was a very clean facility. Nice waiting area. I was checked in and taken back within 10 minutes. The Staff was very friendly and professional. The Doctor was very attentive and heard my concerns. I would rate this location a 10. Thank you!

We were attended to very quickly and the doctor was excellent, very kind and provided first-class attention.

First and foremost, I went online and made the appointment. Filled out all of the appropriate paperwork, including a picture of my ID. When I arrived I was greeted promptly and the young lady was very pleasant. She seemed to be having trouble on the computer and a woman was trying to help her. She handed me a clipboard to fill out the information. I told her I did all this online already. She said we have to complete it. I sat down and started completing the paperwork and again questioned why I am answering the same questions I did online. She did not respond. A few minutes later the other woman that was trying to help her called me to the counter and said I didnt have to complete the paperwork. The young lady behind the counter seem to be training. I was called promptly to the back room and everything went quite smooth. I knew I had hives and I knew I needed a steroid pack as well as a shot. The doctor was quite cordial and agreed with everything I said and I was in and out of there pretty swiftly. I was told by the lady at the counter that my prescription will be ready in 45 minutes to an hour at the location I suggested which was Walgreens on ridge road. I went home and then went to Walgreens approximately an hour and 15 minutes later and they had no record of any prescription being called in or sent over. I called the clinic and the young lady behind the counter said that she would call them to make sure it was done correctly. And I confirmed again the Walgreens on ridge road. Walgreens said they would notify me by text when my prescription is ready. Now an hour later I called the clinic back and asked them why is it taking so long for my prescription. And the second woman at the desk said it was sent over to the CVS on ridge road. I clearly got upset and told her I told the young lady behind the desk Walgreens and this is ridiculous. That apparently she needs further training. And the woman that was training her hung up on me. I really hope the doctor reads these reviews because that is the most unprofessional thing ever. I called back and I told the woman it was very unprofessional and rude of her to hang up on clients. And she then confirmed my prescription was just now being sent to the Walgreens on ridge road. I will not be returning to this office even though the doctor was very accommodating. But her staff is very rude and unprofessional

The reception was very kind and pleasant. My nurse was also great! The Dr took his time with me and was very kind. I will definitely recommend.

Took my daughter in for multiple symptoms. Being her first visit, there was paperwork, which wasnt overbearing. Wait time was almost nothing after the paperwork was done. Staff was super friendly. The technician was super chatty and warming to my daughters random discussion topics. The Rn that came in was quick and to the point, but also willing to listen to other theories and concerns that were on my mind regarding my daughters illness. Very happy, Ill be returning whenever care is needed.

I got bit by my porch panther rather severely on the ankle a few days ago and noticed pronounced swelling and redness as well as tenderness that wasnt getting better with local antiseptics so having been through this before I just went to this place. Its new. Still in the wrapper new so I didnt know what to expect since In not one to off and seek medical treatments. I dont use the ER as a Drs office and I am a veteran with VA benefits so that is kind of hit or miss to get in and out quickly.I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist who assessed me took the proper IDs as well as insurance and VA card gave me the usual paperwork to fill out which was really not that much. I was taken in within 10 minutes vitals seen by a wonderful couple of young ladies who did all the preliminary work efficient, non-judgemental and professionally. The Nurse practitioner I assume was a very precise good listener who assessed my wounds gave me the low down and what could happen after treatment and what to expect during. I was made to feel very comfortable in clean sanitary pleasantly decorated surroundings by a caring professional staff in and out in 30-45 minutes tops. Prescription was waiting for me so they had done all the work and all I have to do is heal up and dodge the indoor porch panthers next meal plans.Well done if I need to use the service again I wont hesitate. Strongly recommend. 5 stars💫⭐🌟✨

Everyone was extremely friendly. My anxiety was very high and they helped me calm down. I was able to be seen immediately. The NP diagnosed my illness and sent a prescription immediately. They took the time to explain everything and to make sure I understood everything, including my treatment plan. I was informed what to watch for in case the condition got worse.

I needed a DOT physical. I walked in. The staff was very friendly and professional. The facility was very clean. I had virtually no wait to be seen. They got me in and out while still being thorough. Im very satisfied with my experience.

I am not impressed with this place, the NP disregarded what I had to say. She didnt even palpitate my stomach when I told her I had pain all over and believed to have an UTI

First time going there was yesterday 6/24/24 and I promise that is the only urgent care I will go to . The staff was absolutely amazing and the facility was excellent but my doctor she was absolutely amazing ! So that’s why I will never go to any other urgent care facility

Ive been there twice in the past 4 months with no prior appointment. Staff is great! I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be called back to a room and at the most 10 minutes before the NP came in to see me. So I highly recommend them!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the wonderful ladies at Midwest Express Clinic in Hobart on 6 and Ridge. More than often in the job of customer service in any field there are far more complaints, hostility, disrespect and just plain out rude people that these hard working frontline folks have to deal with on a daily basis all while working for substandard pay and in some cases with no benefits and most often never acknowledged for their hard work, going the extra mile, keeping their cool while grown people talk to them like their dogs, showing up, being a team player, never asking for anything. Dont get me wrong there are those in customer service that should not be interacting with the public, but stop and think how did they get to that point. This being said to the amazing ladies that took care of my baby girl today THANK YOU!!! Thank you for being kind, for being patient, for understanding. Thank you for not letting the negativity that comes with doing what you do change who you are or how you take care of your patients. I know it could have been just as easy to blow your breath, roll your eyes and have attitude but you both were so kind. If no one else tells you, you are doing an amazing job!!! My baby was just fine all day yesterday all week for that matter and out of nowhere woke up at 3:30 am with severe throat pain and fever as the day progressed both worsened so I took her to the urgent care mentioned at the beginning of this post. Receptionist was wonderful, short wait time, nurse absolutely amazing. My daughter was getting her vitals done and became nauseous they tried to rush to get an emesis bag but unfortunately baby girl was feeling real bad and needless to say they had a mess to mop up but not once not one of them were rude, huffed and puffed, seem inconvenienced. They consoled her, wouldnt let me clean it up and came right in and cleaned it up themselves. Something so simple but so impacting. Thank you so much!! We have had nothing but wonderful experiences when having to go there, but today really stood out.

Everyone at this facility was awesome from the lady at the front desk to the doctor I was visiting from out of town. They called the VA and got me qualified with the doctors visit and my medication.i am thankful i would Recommend Midwest Express clinic.

They have well educated Nurse practitioners,with wonderful bedside manner. I wish they could be my doctors. I am very thankful that Midwest accepts my insurance. The staff is wonderful and I absolutely loved and appreciated the doctor who seen my daughter! The receptionist was as sweet as can be, and the nurse who got us checked in and took vitals was amazing with my daughter as well! She got tested for Covid and the flu (both negative thank goodness) and the nurse was wonderful with making my daughter comfortable with the swabs! The doctor tested my daughter for strep and she was amazing with doing the swab as well! She even gave my daughter a popsicle after the swab and at the end of our visit, she gave my daughter a candy cane too! The clinic is very clean and welcoming, which is a huge plus for me! And the wait wasn’t long at all! All in all, my daughter and I had a great experience and we will definitely make the clinic in Hobart our go to from now on! Thank you to the whole staff at Midwest Express Clinic in Hobart! You all are nothing short of amazing and we appreciate you all!!

Some of the most friendliest doctors/nurses. They would make you feel like youre at home. Went in and got out quick and also got the right help. Came back for after a week for a checkup and had the same exact feeling as the first time. I would recommend this location to others!!!

Quick, quality care. I was able to receive my diagnosis, a prescription and ask my provider as many questions as I’d liked and I was out the door in 1.5 hours. VERY affordable as well and they offer a great list of services! Definitely recommend and I’m very thankful for MEC

Midwest Express Clinic in Hobart off Ridge Road is the best place to go for professional care. It was easy to book appointment and be seen right away.

This was a great place. Everyone was so nice. I walked in they took me to a room and gave me treatment before I had even filled out the paperwork. I would go here any day before I would wait in that emergency room. If you need something not is not life threatening I suggest trying this out. You wont regret it.

When there with an earache at 6:45 didn’t get seen until 9:05. I was ok with that because they said they had computer issues. I was bummed out because I would not get my medicine until the morning.Then they said that could not send it in because the doctor that was in charge of it was off that day. And I’d have to wait another day to get my medicine that came from the manager.Very lack luster effort get someone medicine with an ear ache. Will never go there again!

Recently had experience at 3 branches. In Hobart, Keyanta NP and MAs Alyssa, Thrina, and Keyah were amazingly hospitable with great service. Then, at Merrillville branch and Winfield/Crown Point they were also kind; although sadly I couldn’t get there names.

I’m always going to go here!!! My other urgent care places made me wait 2 hours! I got my son seen in 10 minutes!!! The doc was amazing and so helpful. Even the receptionist was sooo nice!!!!!!! Very good care.

Woke up with the feeling of razors in my throat. Made an appt. with the Hobart office. I had visited the Portage location once so my info was in their system. I uploaded pics of my license and insurance card prior to my appt. The receptionist/MA was very friendly and on task. The NP was approachable, friendly and helpful. I saw interactions with other patients coming and going and they’re doing a great job. The office was clean and actually quite nice. I had a great experience at the Portage location as well. They even made a follow up appt. to make sure I’m feeling better, and on the right track. I appreciate the follow through.

I really felt like the doctor and the training doctor took my symptoms very seriously. They listened to me and made sure I understood my lab results thoroughly.

I had a bacterial infection in my eye from my contacts. I was given antibiotic eye drops and the infection cleared right up.

My doctor was fabulous she know exactly what to do to take care of my issue it was very comfortable pleasant and friendly and timely matter I rather go there than the emergency room had a real bad earache the emergency room couldnt even solve the problem I wouldnt trade it for the world I will be back if I have any more issues

I went to the clinic to get tested for Covid. I recommend Midwest Express Clinic. The wait was short and results given promptly. I also got tested for influenza. Their staff was also very considerate and professional.

I hate going to the doctors but this team was great. It was quick and efficient. They were very nice and answered all my questions.

Everyone there was very friendly. They were able to see me in a timely matter. I’m so glad that there is a Midwest Express in my community.

Friendly atmosphere and very prompt service. I will definitely go back, should I ever need urgent care again.

Staff were very helpful, nice and concerned. Would suggest Midwest Clinic for your needs, and if I need this type if service, they will be where I go.

Went to Midwest yesterday, the staff was great and the nurse was very nice explaining everything to me. I recommen this place if you are sick it is quick a fast.

I went in with a badly infected tooth and they were able to give me some antibiotics and mouthwash and help tremendously and they were super kind and nice got me in and out quickly. Thank you.

Went here for blood pressure issues because my primary doctor was booked. They basically took my billing info and blood pressure and sent me out the door.. When I asked for a doctors note to return back to work the lady copped an attitude with me stating that “WERE NOT DOCTORS SO YOU DIDNT ACTUALLY SEE A DOCTOR SO NO IM NOT GONNA GIVE YOU A NOTE”.. I said fine I understand, then the lady said “do you want us to contact your primary provider” in a condescending tone. And I said no I already contacted them that’s why I’m here. By far the worst experience I’ve had with a clinic. The CVS clinic is better than this place.. If they would’ve said hey this is outside of our expertise you’d be better off going to the hospital or something I would have understood. But the way that lady was acting out on me when I asked for a doctors note was completely uncalled for. My boss watched me pass out and took my blood pressure at 190/110 yesterday. He knows there’s something going on. I don’t like how she made it seem like I was trying to swindle my way out of work.. I wouldve rather went to the emergency room but if would have been way more expensive for the same result but at least they would’ve given me a note. Now I have to wait a couple days to see my primary doctor.. By far worst clinic experience I’ve ever had.
