Summit Health Gynecology

It would be very helpful to those of us looking for a GYN if you could please write the name of the doctor which you are seeing or have seen and write down the names of medical staff and those at the receptionists desk too. Thank you to all that read this and will begin to write down names. Youre also able to edit your comment, just in case someone that has left a message and is willing to help someone like me out, it would be very much appreciated so I can prevent having a disastrous and literally painful exam as one poor woman did who left a comment, just not with whom.

Ive been to this location a couple times and have never been brought back from the waiting room within even 30 minutes of the set appointment time. The appointments are pretty much useless as you will have to wait a very long time anyways. They tell you many times to arrive 15 minutes prior, however, I had to wait 45 minutes just for a simple prescription. The staff is also rude and condescending as well. Ive never had a good experience here and would never go back.

This office was really wonderful prior to being bought by Summit. As two other people noted, I called and was told there are no appointments until November. When I asked to be directed to the East Windsor office, they transferred me and no one answered. I will now have to find a new doctor and hope that I will be able to have someone at the office, not a call center, help transfer my records. Also- I am leaving this review as it seems there are no other ways to contact the office directly. Unfortunate

Unfortunately, my review is not a good one. The gynecologist with whom I had two appointments with is a nice enough person however, a simple internal felt like I was having a biopsy and if you’ve ever had a biopsy, you know how painful that is I don’t know what the heck she was doing but that was the first time I went And I thought maybe I’m exaggerating but I wasn’t because I gave her a second chance and the same thing happened all over again so I am not able to recommend this place to anyone

Horrible customer service now! This change to Summit Health has been detrimental to the long standing patients at this practice! You can’t even get an appointment and like so many others said no one answers if you get transferred to the office. It’s ridiculous. Looking for a new OB/GYN NOW!

I used to love seeing Dr. Simigiannis and have been a patient for the last 3 years. I just called to schedule my annual because I forgot to, and they didn’t send a reminder, and they’re booking out until October with nothing available any time earlier. I can’t wait 9 months for my annual so I’m basically being forced to leave the practice. While on the phone call I was forwarded from Summit Health to her office and was on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up. Very disappointing. I found a different office who was able to get me in within the next 2 weeks. Ever since they joined Summit Health it’s been downhill I guess. Unfortunate

I used to love being a patient at Antheia. HOWEVER, since they became part of Summit Health, it has been awful. Its impossible to find the patient portal. When you go to the website you are looped around never get to a sign in page. I called in June for my annual and the first appointment available was November 1st!? A 5 month wait is unacceptable. I was told that Dr. Helen was the only doctor at this location now. I think shes wonderful but Im not waiting 5 months for my annual. Thats just ridiculous! I also never received a reminder when my annual was due and I always have in the past. I have left this practice and found a doctor from this practice that opened her own office. So much better and was able to book an appointment within 2 weeks.

My overall experience was great. The nurse was great, she was efficient, knowledgeable, personable, and welcoming. Doctor Helen is awesome! She always takes the time to ask & answer questions, listen and addressed any concerns that I had. My overall experience was a good. I started going there based on a recommendation and I’m glad that I did. For those that may not have had a good first time experience, I would just suggest that you give it another try, if it was based on the front office staff. We all can have a bad day or two. Overall I am a satisfied customer!

As a first time patient I didnt know what to expect, but was very pleased with my experience. The front desk staff is efficient and professional. I was called back quickly and the doctor came in quickly. After spending endless hours in waiting rooms this was a pleasant surprise. Dr Simigiannis was warm and engaged and made me feel very comfortable. I would totally recommend this practice and doctor. Thank you all.

Dr. Helen is professional and caring. She listened to my concerns and questions. She is one of the best doctors I have ever had.She responded with medical answers that were explained in an easy to understand manner. She also took as much time as I needed.She is one of the best doctors I have ever had.Her staff are caring and professional. Dr Simigiannis and her staff are great. They are efficient and pleasant. I didn’t have to wait to be seen. The nurse who asked questions about my current health status was knowledgeable & caring. Dr Simigiannis is wonderful and I felt that she’s easy to talk with and she is gentle.

I normally do not write reviews, but the care and support that I received from Valerie Fulton was beyond exceptional. She took the time to explain every single option for the available treatments. She did not rush me and answered my questions thoroughly. I love going to a dr.s office where you feel that you are being taken care of and that they truly care about your well being!

This was my first visit to this new provider; before I moved to the area I had been with the same gynecologist for 30 years. I wanted to take the time to say how happy I am with everyone in this practice. I felt comfortable and welcomed. Clean, informative staff as well as the doctors. Very comfortable atmosphere. I was referred by my younger sibling when I was looking for a new Gynecologist years ago and I’ve been attending ever since.They’re up to date with the technology world of requesting appointments online, your results, summary, and more!I will personally say that my doctor has been a life saver due to me having Thyroid Disease. Doctor and staff were very personable and professional. I was made feel very comfortable with ALL aspects of my visit. A big plus was the perfectly fitting fabric gown. One size fits all, and it really does! A big improvement on the paper gowns I’ve been given at other doctors offices. Overall, I would recommend this Doctor and her staff.

Dr Simigiannis is very friendly and knowledgeable. She went into details with me on everything that I should be concern. Very patient and I felt very comfortable being treated by her. Office staff is very organized and helpful as well. Highly recommended!!

We came here for an emergency and they took good care of us. We consider everyone here our family now. The entire staff goes above and beyond to help you. They take all precautions to prevent spread of COVID, office is nice and clean. Appointment setups are very structured and organized. Staff is polite and knowledgeable. They had a smile even when they were busy, no attitude ever. We would recommend them to everyone and cannot Thank everyone here for what they have done to help us. God Bless you guys.

Dr Simigiannis is very good at her profession. She performed my surgery in December and had scheduled follow up visits to make sure I was recovering well. She is friendly, understanding and listens to the patients needs. She made me feel comfortable with the decision I was making before my surgery by informing and explaining to me the issues and necessary treatment. Theres another doctor at this practice Dr.Yana Markidan who is also a very good doctor. I definitely recommend their practice if anyone is looking for gynecological treatment.

I had someone recommend this practice because I wasn’t happy with my current doc who I didn’t feel was taking my health concerns seriously and they got me in to see someone within 2 days and I’m already scheduled for surgery in a week! The last doctor didn’t think I need surgery for another 2 months 10 stars if I could! The medical tech who I talked to on the phone was way more knowledgeable than most and made sure I was scheduled with a doctor right away!

Dr. Simigiannis patiently listened to all of my history. She thoroughly looked through my diagnostic reports and explained the reasons for the treatment plan she recommended. Other doctors sent me on trials of treatments goose chase for over a year. I left her office feeling very confident the treatment plan will have a positive outcome. She eradicated so many of my concerns in a few minutes of a conversation and an exam.

A wonderful experience at Antheia as always. I have been going to Antheia for many years. The office is very beautiful providing a sense of calm and professionalism. Dr. Simigiannis is thorough, caring, and knowledgeable. She has a wealth of information to Share about women’s health issues.

I was so impressed by my experience at Antheia Gynecology that I felt totally compelled to write a review, something I rarely ever do. Dr. Markidan was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. She took the time to listen to everything I had to say and was very gentle and patient during my exam. Everyone on the staff seems to have a great attitude and they were all incredibly friendly. The vibe is 100% judgment-free and you really get the feeling of being cared for. I can’t say enough good things about this practice and I would highly recommend Dr. Markidan to anyone. She almost makes me wish annuals were a more frequent event :)

My experience with Doctor Helen was great. I almost lost my appointment, I went to the wrong location and I called to ask for directions. The girl on the phone was very nice and helpful in person she was even better. I got there almost an hour after my appointment time. I’m glad I chose to go there, it was exactly what I expected. I felt comfortable, everything was super fast, everyone was friendly. If you are trying to find a great Doctor with a great staff, book your appointment with doctor Helen in East Windsor.

Very professional and safe. They are following all necessary protocols to keep their patients safe. You will not wait long to see the doctor, but last time I was there - I had a bit of a wait. Dr. Simigiannis has a really cool, relaxed demeanor. She seems to be a good listener, addressing your concerns and very knowledgeable.

Dr Simigiannis is great, once you finally see her. I had an 11:30 appointment, wasn’t called from the waiting room until 12:00, and then didn’t see her until about 12:25.Also I’ve tried connecting with her for two days to discuss the results from an ultrasound test that she sent me for. I’ve left two VMs and spoken to the office staff once. The staff confirmed she received the results and said she would call back by EOD, but that was yesterday afternoon and no word yet.

This office is absolutely amazing! The staff is always nice and polite as well as extremely accommodating.Dr. Simigiannis is a terrific doctor, with a wonderful bedside manner. I never feel rushed and all my questions are always answered very thoroughly. Without a doubt, this is the best doctors office I have ever been to. I am a NY transplant to NJ. Took a while for me to find the right doctor. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Simigiannis takes time to answer your questions and I dont feel rushed . She is very kind and patient. Nice to have a doctor who cares about her patients. I have been going to her for several years and have not had a bad experience. No complaints, only praise for this doctor and her staff.

The staff was really nice and respectful. The doctor listened to my issue and advised me well. Explained the procedure well and said we could do it that same day. The staff prepped my room and the Doctor spoke to me the whole time to distract me. It was over so quickly. Went over post care treatment and went to come back for a check up. It was a pleasure! Dr. Sim is awesome. Shes relative, caring and attentive. You dont get the sense that shes rushed. As long as she is practicing, I wouldnt change doctors for all the tea in China lol. Love her.

If you are looking for a fantastic Dr look no further! I had Dr Yana Markidan and she was absolutely wonderful. I was extremely anxious for my visit and she made it no big deal at all. Her calming voice and reassuring words are just what you need when you don’t want to be at these appointments. I really like the quality of service doctor provided. Although my case was a tad bit different than the services that the doctor provides but despite of that she walked me through the details very clearly and to summarize, yes i was pretty satisfied with Dr. Simigiannis.

The staff members are polite and efficient, the location is convenient, and that doctor was fairly friendly, but I didnt find it to be a satisfying overall experience in terms of getting my medical issues addressed. Tests came back normal, but I still have issues with pain and felt they were dismissed. A message to the doctor via the patient portal in late December about those issues was ignored. I will be finding a different gyno. who is more responsive.

Every single person at this practice is so nice, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Helen is great! She really listens to you and cares about whatever questions you may have. She also makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend her!

It’s so refreshing to be treated kindly and seen as an actual person by the doctor and all staff instead of just a patient or a job! Working in a health office in the past myself and in the customer service area for years I know how tough of a field it is. And being a patient and going in to a place that usually isn’t the most comfortable place to be and you are your most vulnerable at, it feels so nice to at least be treated with kindness and respect. I truly appreciate the energy and effort everyone at Antheia puts forward! I refer everyone and everyone here , even my mom recently switched her doctor and was so pleased with her visit.

Dr. Markidan is great! She really takes her time to listen to your concerns and always goes above and beyond to help you with your medical needs! She always comes up with a targeted plan to help solve any issues or concerns you may have! The staff is always very kind and personable!

Worst staff experience Ive ever had at an office! Very dismissive and made me feel as though I was an issue for them! The billing person was rude, nasty and unhinged when trying to resolve the matter of them over charging me. Even as I had my insurance on the phone to make sure I was being charged correctly. From the looks of these reviews this is something that happens often at this office and frankly will never visit again and will make it my mission to bring attention to the behavior they have there.Check your staff before you lose more clientele!

I had always been nervous to visit a gynecologist, mainly due to some personal reasons; but I couldnt be happier with the decision I made to finally go. The receptionists are super friendly and efficient, and Dr. Markidan is the best doctor I have ever visited. She is really amazing and would strongly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

For this to be my first visit I was impressed. The staff members were professional. Dr.Markidan was fantastic she listened intently to needs and concerns. She provided me with a lot information in regards to my issues and offered alternative methods as well as an option. She recommended an ultrasound in which they had an opening while I was there. Also there wasn’t a wait time to be seen which is very important to me.

Dr. Markidan is by far the best Dr! She was the one who was my main OBGYN when I was pregnant with my daughter at the previous facility I went to. When I started coming here a year ago, I was pleased to see that she had moved here! I am super ecstatic to continue with her and would recommend her to anyone! I was seen by Dr. Yana. She is very friendly, professional and attentive and the front office staff are very pleasant as well. This office also keeps an up-to date patient portal with notes and other important information so for me I found this benefit to be a plus. I highly recommend this office to other women.

I had a visit with Dr. Yana Markidan for the first time today and I can say that she is an amazing Dr and has outstanding bedside manner. I suffer from anxiety due to a previous traumatic experience and Dr. Markidan made sure I was comfortable. She took her time with me and provided reassurance. She was very gentle, patient, and soft spoken. Gynecology visits arent the most pleasant experience but she made me feel at ease in the midst of all my anxiety. I purposely searched for a female doctor since I knew I would be most comfortable with a female. I drove an hour away to come to her based off reviews on here. I knew I was a difficult patient because my anxiety can get the best of me but she handled my situation with such compassion and understanding. Previous experiences also added to anxiety. Sometimes it can get frustrating when it comes to patients like me when you are just trying to do your work. I came across doctors that did just that so I’m glad this experience was exactly the opposite in the way she treated me. I feel confident with my decision to have her as my new Dr. I’m very content with my experience as far as all the assessments and testing she is having me do to make sure that I receive the correct diagnosis and treatment.... and, that’s exactly what I need. She is worth the drive or flight for the matter lol! I’m so serious ;-) also, can not leave out her staff. They are amazing as well. Such a great team.

Excellent experience from the moment I walked in the front door! Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and professional! Dr. Helen was awesome! After my previous physician of 40 yrs retired, finding someone new was difficult. However this facility was extremely welcoming and accommodating. I felt comfortable and confident with care that I would receive from the professionals. Thank you for Maliki nag the transition so easy!

Dr. Simiggianis is the best in town. Very friendly, warm, and informative. She’s genuinely concerned and invested in her patients. Her nurses and staff are all great as well. The online portal is the best! My working schedule is crazy and I can never get a chance to call, but with the online portal I can always ask anyone in the office a question and they get back to you promptly.

I have never gone to this office and not waited at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. As if they are the only schedule that matters. Which is awful because their nursing staff and doctors are normally really good. But having to wait an hour after your appointment time is too much for me. And they have no late nights so if you have to work good luck might as well take the whole day off just for a check up

All staff and Dr. Helen are always very kind, courteous, and professional. I have always received excellent treatment from their office. They are one of the best practices I have ever seen. The office environment itself is very soothing and calm, and I feel like Im about to have a spa visit, not a gyn exam!

I like Dr. Markidan which is the reason I continue to return. She is very personable and informative when you have a visit. Unless you want to walk out crying and feeling horrible, this is your place!! I recently had a procedure done however while in the room, doctor Valerie Fulton started procedure on me telling me that I have to sign the consent form before I left. What kind of doctor does that. My daughter went there too and was completely devastated. She asked for a consultation and no physical exam, Ms.Fulton proceeded to check her even after she asked not to. On top of that, Ms.Fulton said some very inappropriate things to my daughter that no doctor should say to any patient regardless of age or medical attention. I don’t know who she is or where she got her medical license from but someone needs to seriously take it away. Do not go here for her.

Dr. Simigiannis has been my doctor for almost a decade if not more; shes compassionate and caring; overall an excellent choice when it comes to womens health. Ill always refer her to anyone in need...Shes definitely the best.

Dr. S and Antheia are by far the best practice and worth my time time in driving. I actually look forward to my appointments.So much time is given to Dr. S. patients, she is so understanding and knowledgeable. I recommend this practice to many.

After years of not feeling heard by my gynecologist regarding menopausal symptoms, I finally found a doctor who listened, was kind, intelligent, open-minded and she understood my concerns. I am a breast cancer survivor with no other health issues, however, most gynecologists shy away from discussing hormonal treatments because of the breast cancer. Dr. Simigianis was so wonderful and presented multiple options for me. I am so grateful to have found her!

I normally don’t write reviews but one incident recently has me quite uneasy. First of all, my fiance is seeing an NP, who she has thought was an MD this entire time. Secondly, this NP introduces herself as a doctor. You are not a doctor, you just have a doctorate. Next, saying that tylenol does not reach the uterus is ridiculous because it does and there is pharmacology/kinetics to prove it. Many pharmacists and MDs agree to this fact. You really need to check who is qualified to see whom in this practice. Will be changing providers or requesting to see the actual physician next time.

Dr Simigiannis is an amazing Doctor. She is so professional, friendly, I had a hysterectomy and she was there before procedure, after and next 2 days. Explain everything and answer all my questions. She also follows up with an email summary after each visit. I had a previous gyn for 25 years and decided to change and so happy I found Dr Simigiannis. Highly recommend her and her staff is friendly as well.

Dr. Yana Markidan, is a very friendly, polite, caring and compassionate person. She makes you feel comfortable. She was not the cold type that does not hear what you are saying, she listens and is concerned about your issues or problems that you may have. Dr. Markidan and the staff are very professional. Today was my first day at Dr. Markidans office and I will continue to go back, I think I have made the right choice.

The entire office is great, the front office staff is awesome, check in was quick and smooth and Dr. Markidan is amazing. This has been the only office I have gone to where I dont feel nervous about going in. She really takes the time to listen and explain everything. If I could give more start I would!

Dr. Simigiannis is wonderful, she actually listens to what you have to say. They dont over-schedule and keep you waiting, they get you in and the Dr sees you in a timely manor, so much better than other gynecologist Ive been to, and seeing a woman really makes a huge difference.

This was my first time at Antheia. The receptionist was friendly and engaging. Office was safe and clean following Covid protocol. Dr Helen is an attentive professional who diagnosed my discomfort, which I have been dealing with for a few years.

After being told to undress and change into a gown, I routinely wait for more than 60 minutes for the doctor to come in. I sit on the edge of the bed, expecting doctor to come in any minute and she shows up after an hour.If you cant accommodate the appointment on time why even make it. People have jobs to go to.Also, the office scheduled me for a medical and annual visit but failed to inform me that theres no annual pap smear. So I wasted my whole morning to come for a second speculum exam just one week after the medical and told me as I dont need anything else examined.I wasted 1 hr waiting, just to be told nothing needs to be done!!! How ineffective, and wasteful of money and peoples time.When I mentioned I have worsening symptoms of other disease thats very much related to hormones, the doctor said she cant help me, even though its very much treatable by hrt and theres direct link between age, hormones, and my condition. And when I said I have severe pmdd, she gave me a flyer for pms .. everyone has pms, but pmdd is severe and can cause extreme issues.Simply not helpful.

Dr. is always prompt and makes the visit go very quickly. Of course the exam she gives you is very thorough and she discusses with you all the appropriate topics. Excellent doctor.

Such a kind and empathetic doctor, working alongside great staff in a cozy environment. They make even the most uncomfortable procedures tolerable, and its obvious they really care about their patients. So glad I found this place!!

I had to wait longer than I would have liked in a back hallway, till they had my room ready. But the MA was very pleasant and Dr Helen was very accommodating. Did not make me feel rushed and answered all my questions thoroughly. Routine Gyno exam went well.

Very nice staff and place but giving 2 stars as they inform you to wait outside until your appointment which I did for 10 minutes. When I went inside and they took my temp it was 101 and they turned me away. What do you expect when you wait outside in 90 degree weather. I already have anxiety to begin with. Now I have to have to wait until my primary Dr. gives clearance. They should really be aware of the weather outside and how it manipulates body temperature

Dr. Helen is amazing. She is kind and professional. She squeezed me in as an emergency where other offices would not be so accommodating. Highly recommend Antheia Gynecology

I haven’t been to an OB/Gyn in over a year. I had been to Dr. Simigiannis’s in the past but staff she had back then made it difficult to figure out if my health insurance was covered and I ended up being billed for what I thought was a normal annual gyn exam. I tried 2 other offices in the general area but did not like the doctors that I saw as much as I have always enjoyed my visits with Dr. Simigiannis. So I made an appointment and went to see her. My visit was thorough and the doctor checked my gynecology needs and recommended some treatment that I’ve needed for some time. She was caring, considerate and made me feel relaxed. I will continue with her and her staff which has proven to be, as I would have expected, a well run office.

I find Dr Helen easy to talk to . I like the fact that test results are immediately sent out as well as notes on visit. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the wait

I’m been going to Dr. Simigiannis for many years. She is the best gynecologist you will see. She is personable, caring and always does the right thing for your health. At this point, she’s not only my Dr. but also my friend. The office and staff are welcoming and they have followed every protocol during Covid. Absolutely the best!!!

The appointment itself was fine, however, upon contacting the practice regarding concerns about medication I was put on having adverse effects, I was brushed off and told to wait it out. The symptoms never did subside. The medication itself was very expensive although I requested something covered by my insurance.

I’ve Been using Dr. Simigiannis for years now and I also have recommended her to many others who love her. She sees myself and my daughter. I never have issues with her staff either and she ALWAYS responds to your patient portal questions ina timely manor and has seen me off hours on an emergency so please don’t let the ignorant reviews on here sway your opinion as I am a retired RN and I’m very critical not only who I see but who I have taken my daughter to. ❤️Triple thumbs up to Dr. Simigiannis 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I do not have my own Google account so I’m posting this review from my husband’s. Antheia Gynecology is the best gynecology practice in the surrounding area! Dr. Simigiannis and her team are a group of intelligent, kind, caring and professional women. I called the office last Wednesday to share a concern I had and by Noon on Monday, every question was answered, an ultrasound and other testing completed and a health plan developed. If that isn’t considered efficient, I then don’t know what would be. I breathe easily knowing that I am under the care of Dr. Simigiannis and her team.

Office staff and doctor were courteous and knowledgeable and there was no long wait. Office was clean and had proper COVID 19 precautions in place. Mammogram was ordered by doctor and lab contacted me same day to schedule appointment.

Horrible billing practices. The doctor charged $235 for an unsolicited phone call which lasted approximately 2 minutes to inform me that my test results came back normal. I never requested this call and was never informed that i would be charged for it, furthermore i already knew my results from the online portal so this call was clearly an unnecessary move to make more money. This is blatant overbilling and borderline fraud as this charge was listed as an Office Visit rather than a two minute phone call. Someone should really audit this business.

Extremely poorly coordinated staff and doctor. I had to wait for 1 and 15 mts. Patients having later appointments were seen by the doctor first. Even after promising to take me in next, I was not seen and I left. Routine patients are not as important as the ones with medical issues, due to their incoming claim payments. They lost me and my recommendations as a patient.

I was disappointed that I had to wait a very long time (45 min in the exam room) before she walked in when it seemed like I had the second appointment of the day. Id rather have been waiting in the waiting room with clothes on. Or, at least have someone come in and say you are running late. Its the only thing that I dont like about the experience. It seems like its every time.

Tried to schedule first appointment as a new patient and ended up cancelling the entire visit halfway through the phone call because of the receptionists terrible attitude. Cant see myself feeling comfortable and cared for at an office that harbours such rudeness and unprofessionalism.
