Vonda Houchin, MD

Dr. Houchin has been my doctor for 30 years. She is a truly wonderful human being, she is extremely thorough working through your symptoms to reach the correct diagnosis and best treatment plan, you wont ever get the blanket diagnosis feeling. She treats every patient as an individual without putting you in a box. I know this because she has treated almost my entire immediate family for decades. She is an outstanding physician, she shows a genuine care for her patients. The staff have always been warm and welcoming and remember your name. You dont feel like a name on a list or just another person in the waiting room. From physicals to blood work, x-rays, immunizations, specialty referrals, injections, theres no anxiety or dread because they treat you like you would treat your own family. Theyve even reached out just to check on how I was doing following an illness. Its a higher level of patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Houchin and the rest of the team at Harrisburg Family Medical Center to anyone who has ever had a cold, hospital like experience at their doctors office. If you want to be seen and heard, literally and figuratively, and want to feel like your health matters to the Physician you are treated by, theres none better than her. The overall experience as a patient is incomparable to anyone else youve seen.

Very rude. Very rude nurse as well. Do not go there they are mean selfish self centered and the most hateful bunch of women I have ever seen.They do not care about you they will smart off and try to belittle and cut you down. Any place is better than here!!!Trust me I am trying to help you. Please go some where else!!!
