Open Water Medical Goldsboro, NC

Thanks to Dr. Parker and his wonderful staff, my tiresome search for a permanent physician is over. Every box was checked for what I was looking for. The office is clean and tidy, the staff is warm and welcoming and Dr. Parker is the most thorough physician that Ive come across in both the military and civillian world. He listened and gave me a promising outlook on my plan toward better health. My sincere thanks to this A1 office and its staff.

The Doctor that I was seen by was very attentive to my needs. He also gave me some information about my medication that I was misinformed about. Very professional!

Its primary care and its good you go in you talk to him he is very upfront very matter of factly so you know I get taken care of well there

I have always had a good experience with Openwater’s Goldsboro office. The staff has always been very helpful and works with me to get me into their appointment schedule, while working within the constraints of my fairly busy travel schedule.

Fantastic experience. Nurse was friendly and helpful and Dr. Parker was professional and accommodating. Definitely my new primary doctor.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Im very comfortable going to open water. Mr. Calvin is the best. He never rushes you. If I have questions, he takes time to listen. Judith is so friendly and sweet.

This office isn’t the primary focus and the poor patient service reveals that. Numerous issues we’ve experienced with this office not being properly staffed and communicating poorly. After showing up for an appointment at 8:15 this morning, I was informed that I couldn’t give blood today because the lady decided to take off the rest if the week. I get that but just yesterday I was told that I could come in this morning to give blood for my physical next week. Why was I not called yesterday to save me from going there at 8:15 this morning? I know the answer- This office takes a back to seat to the main office in Beaufort. It’s not just my review either. Read all the other reviews mentioning the issues here. Save yourself the inevitable disappointment. I called to speak to someone about my dissatisfaction and I was given excuses why this happened. It’s excuse after excuse but never an acceptance of responsibility nor a solution to the ongoing problems. Take your care elsewhere until this office gets it together.Now read the response to my original review. Another attempt by Open Water to dispute the negative reviews by offering more excuses or by shifting focus to a different area. I’m sure this edit will get another lame response from the “review slayer” with Open Water. Change the things that are not working instead of disputing negative reviews.

I so enjoyed my appointment today with Dr.Calvin, it was informative and very helpful.The receptionist was a Pleasure to talk to ,very professional and personal.I really enjoyed my visit

They all do a good job there. From setting up my visits for appointments and getting me in and out. Calvin Parker is doing a great job .

MARCH 2023: Although the providers are good, they cant seem to keep them on staff (were now with our THIRD NP/PA because the others jump ship). The front desk crew gives you an appt card but then doesnt bother to call you to alert you when your provider quits so you show up on your next appt date only to discover you dont have an appt after all. And then when they reschedule you with another provider, they tell you 8:15am, you arrive a few minutes early and are then informed that they entered it in their system for 9am, and you STILL arent seen until after 11am because theyre backed up!!! What the heck?!?UPDATE DEC 2023:Returned for another check-up and was in-and-out in one hour. Met with Calvin Parker Jr, FNP and he was wonderful. Glad to know that this office made some much needed improvements. Thank you!

My FIRST appointment was this morning. Waited 2 hours to be seen. Dr walks in and says what do you need to be seen for. Literally thats all she said. Not hi my name is such and such (still dont know her name) just what do you need to be seen for. If you cant be nice and introduce yourself especially to a new patient, maybe you should not have a practice. I paid 135.00 to sit there for 2.5 hours for nothing at all.

Christine Stallings is a wonderful NP! Her staff are great as well. Chris takes her time with you and listens to you-which I feel is a great asset. Always good visits.

Friendly staff. Feel NP Calvin is very knowledgeable. I feel he has my best interest at heart.

Sat in the office for 2 and a half hours after my appointment time until I was finally seen. And now, it has been two weeks since the appointment and still have yet to get my prescription filled because they will not send it back to the pharmacy.
