My husband and I cannot say enough good things about the Tennessee Fertility Institute and Dr. Christopher Montville. After trying to conceive for many years and undergoing unsuccessful treatment at a different clinic, we were beginning to lose hope. I attended my appointment today at 11:30, and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the staff. Everyone was nice, accommodating, and helpful throughout my visit. The three nurses who assisted me were incredibly supportive, providing ice packs and comfort during that difficult moment. Dr. Montville and his team were AMAZING! We had been trying for over a year on our own to have a baby without any success! My OBGYN referred us to Dr. Montville and it couldnt have been a better decision! He was able to come up with the best plan for us and it took patience, time, heartache and tears, but something finally worked for us! My husband and I will forever be grateful for the care shown to us throughout the entire process! So so thankful! If youre looking for the best fertility Dr., look no further. He is the BEST! Dr. Montville deserves praise, because he’s genuinely a kind man who cares about the well-being of his patients.Everything and everyone else is awful.I don’t think this clinic understands that just because their work is mundane and common for them, that does not give them a license to mentally put their patients through the wringer. From miscommunications, to lack of attention and detail, to overall shoddy bedside manners, we’re left feeling disappointed.This practice is frustrating at best, and dangerous at worst.

Dr.Montville and his staff were awesome! We went to another clinic first and it was the worst experience ever. The other clinic would hit us with surprise charges and act like they didn’t even care when we were there. Tennessee fertility was upfront, honest and kind through the whole process. They checked in with us and genuinely cared through our IVF journey. 9 months later we have a beautiful baby boy thanks to Montvile and his expertise. We recommend him to everyone. Seriously… don’t go anywhere else but here!

After a couple of years of my husband and I trying on our own we were referred to TFI. No one wants to struggle with infertility but we were so thankful and pleased with our care at TFI. Dr. Montville, Sheri, Katie, and every single staff member we encountered during our time there was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and cheering us on every step of the way. They helped us get to our first bundle of joy - a baby girl - with IUI. We are incredibly thankful for TFI!

Good luck talking to anyone who knows what they are doing. All I wanted was a consolation in Franklin, I call the number and I’m talking to someone in Texas who clearly doesn’t know a thing about his job. Then he transfers me to the “Franklin Tennessee location “ nope it’s someone in Chicago. I then ask them for the Franklin Tennessee location number and she gives me the same number that I have already called twice that has me talking to the same incompetent guy . What a joke

We traveled from Memphis after our local clinic told me I wouldnt conceive unless we used donor eggs after only 1 failed fresh hail mary embryo transfer despite me having a young child I had conceived naturally. I am older and have low amh and DOR and Dr. Ruman wasnt scared of any of that!! From our first 2nd opinion consult, she came up with a wonderful treatment plan for me. She gave me hope when I had none. I am thrilled to say we have a now 7 month old baby boy! After 3 egg retrievals and egg banking we ended up with 2 pgt tested normal embryos and the first one stuck! Hes the light of our lives and hopefully we will transfer our 2nd next year. Highly recommend TFI.

After we moved to TN from WA, we knew we would have to find a new fertility doctor and team that would replace what we had at home... which we came in with some high expectations!TFI blew those expectations out of the water and we felt well taken care of the entire time. Its always bittersweet to graduate because we feel like we never have enough appts with the team before we move on.Thank you, TFI, for taking such good care of us and giving Ellie the role of big sister! We will be back in a few years for those final two embryos ;)

If I could give a no star review, I would. I have had the worst experience ever at this office and will never go back. My husband & I were introduced to TFI in February after several years of unexplained infertility. We went through all the necessary testing & ultrasounds that were suggested, & by the first of March we were being rushed into doing an IUI procedure with little to no explanation on why that would be our best bet. I was told before this was done, I needed to do an HSG scan to flush out my tubes, so of course I agreed, & on the day of the HSG, i had to pay $250 upfront before this could be done, which was NEVER mentioned at any of my other appointments. I then was poked, prodded, in an incredible amount of pain, also while bleeding, for a solid 45 minutes due to the NP not being able to insert the catheter into my cervix due to it being too “tilted”. She then suggested we stop the procedure, try again next cycle if need be, she would make a note to NOT bill insurance for this & the $250 would be added to my account as a credit. As I was leaving to make my IUI appointment date, I was then told I had to pay $1300 upfront THE SAME DAY for the IUI to take place, which was ALSO NEVER MENTIONED…. why I didn’t come unglued in that office at the moment is beyond me, but with this being my first time doing anything in this realm, I listened & paid for it not wanting it to delay the procedure. Day of the IUI, it took the same NP 15+ minutes to insert that even smaller catheter, & a few weeks later we received a negative pregnancy test & I let the office know. Two weeks after the negative, we were showing a past due balance of $150, but we were told multiple times we were all paid up the day of the IUI.. I’m now having to deal with these unethical billing charges & lack of customer service because they will only communicate via their Prelude app & won’t answer the phone. They also do not send out itemized bills showing why you are paying what is due. I had to ask for this a few times because new “past due” payments would magically appear with no explanation. This is only a portion of the red flags I dealt with while there. PLEASE think of looking elsewhere if you would like to feel like you matter & are important, because this place will not do that for you & Im so frustrated this experience has put such a bad taste in my mouth about fertility practices. I hope and pray we can have better luck in the future.

The doctors were great… but everything else was not.The first major red flag was that we signed a document saying we did NOT consent to genetic testing before we went to get our labs drawn. Then a week or so later got lab results for the exact testing we said we would not consent to.Then, we were on our way to an appointment and payment had never been mentioned AT ALL. We were assuming they were billing us just like any other doctor (sending a statement and bill in the mail), since they hadn’t mentioned it. Then as we were pulling in to the appointment, the financial team called and told us we owed $1,400 THAT DAY before our appointment. Which, we expected costs like that but since we hadn’t expected them immediately we didn’t have the card with us we would’ve preferred to pay with and had to pay an alternative way. Super frustrating. But it seemed that we up front pay per cycle and then testing and doctor visits were billed through our insurance and then to us, as at any normal doctors appointment.But then, I agreed to another test and showed up to be told, again only upon arrival, that I owed another $400 for that test THAT DAY. When I said I would rather just not have the test she told me my insurance “said” we hadn’t met our deductible (not true, we met our deductible within a week of the new year starting and this was in March) and that’s just how much I owed. When I asked how much they’d be billing to insurance, she said about $1,300… which, our insurance pays 90% so why would I pay more than double the 10% I would owe…? When I explained all of this she said okay, I’ll run it through insurance first this ONE time. Which is apparently (she said) against their policy that you have to pay up front for everything, which no one had verbalised to us until that point (and can’t be strictly true as there were some things I.e. consultations, labs, and other testing that were in fact sent to insurance first and then billed to us without us asking for it to be done that way).Still we went ahead with the cycle, not realising all the weird red flags, and the night before my second IUI came. They sent me a message around the end of the day (maybe 2pm, I didn’t see it until after they closed) saying “you and your husband have to sign this thaw consent before we’ll thaw sperm for the IUI.” I wasn’t impressed it was sent last minute without a phone call to make sure we saw it, but that wasn’t even the issue. The issue is it was my SECOND IUI with thawed sperm and they hadn’t had us sign any such document before the first. When I asked about this, why they’d neglected to get consent the first time if that’s part of the process, they just said they can’t speak as to why that happened.And just a small note… all of their instructions on when to actually start or do medications/injections are verbal, they never put it in writing for me. They do start the cycle by sending a list of medications and generally when to start them, but the specifics are only given verbally. And they never educated me on how to give myself trigger shots, they just said to do it which was uncomfortable because the instructions that came with it kept referencing “how your doctor instructed you to do it.”So I’d give the place an A- on doctors (there were a couple small things I didn’t love but nothing huge) and a solid F on everything else. Communication is awful, paying attention to detail is horrible. Treating us with respect and dignity surrounding the fact that infertility treatments were a huge investment for us didn’t happen. It literally felt like they expected us to kiss the ground they walked on because their practice specialised in infertility. After two cycles, we’re moving on. Not sure we’ll try any more fertility treatments, but if we do, it won’t be here!!!

As anyone struggling to build their family knows, infertility can feel daunting, isolating and downright scary. Dr. Montville and the entire TFI team did everything in their power to ease all those feelings during my time in their care. Dr. Montville was excellent at providing the information we needed to make the best decisions for our family, and he did so in such a factual yet gentle way I so appreciated. His care team, especially Kelly, was on top of every question and concern (even the ones that were quite silly looking back!) I had during during our retrievals and FET. Bailey, Rita and the entire procedure team were amazing and made the retrieval day so much less nerve-wracking than I anticipated. Jennifer, Amelia and the embryology team were fantastic, always willing to answer my questions and never made me feel like a burden. Their levels of empathy, humor and patient-centered care are something I’ve never experienced before and am so grateful for. I graduated from TFI with mixed emotions - thrilled to be pregnant, but sad to leave such a special place.

Honestly could not recommend a better and more caring fertility clinic. My husband and I had been trying for over a year when we sought out TFI. We made an appointment with Dr. Montville and he made us feel like we were the only patients at the clinic, valuing our emotional needs as well. We had 4 failed lUIs, and after being unsuccessful, Dr. Montville, along with his incredible team walked us through the process of IVF and made us feel comfortable. We did our first transfer which resulted in an unfortunate miscarriage of identical twins. Dr. Montville was my doctor for my D&C and even called to check on me himself that night to make sure I was doing okay. We can proudly say we are now 24 weeks along with our miracle baby girl & just so thankful for the time & care we received from Dr. Montville, Brooke, Kelly, Bailey, Amelia, and Jennifer specifically. They were all an answered prayer.

I saw Dr.Montville and absolutely loved him! We drove 2 hours and 45 min each appointment just because we trusted him more than any of the other doctors we met with prior to deciding who we wanted to pursue our IVF journey with. He is upfront and honest which is always my preference. He takes time to explain everything and is genuine about the care he gives to his patients. The staff was great as well. They respond quickly and give your lab results in a couple hours after the appointment. They are quick and efficient. I would recommend Tennessee Fertility Institute to anyone needing reproductive assistance.

Dr. Montville was a pure joy to work with during our IVF process, as was the entire TFI team. Infertility is not an easy thing to go through, and each and every time I met with Dr. Montville, I felt reassured that everything was going to work out. I cannot thank him enough for his knowledge, compassion, and care. I never once thought that I was “just another patient”. I truly felt cared for by everyone I worked with from our first consultation to our graduation day. I highly recommend Tennessee Fertility Institute to anyone dealing with infertility.

Dr Montville and his team were wonderful throughout our entire experience. I was a patient for over two years and I am successfully pregnant now!Benitha was amazing, always responsive, helpful and friendly. Teresa was always helpful with billing questions or understanding charges. The other ladies in the office were awesome as well every time, whether I was having blood drawn, making an appointment, or having a procedure. They were all so nice and caring and took the time to get to know me and that meant a lot. Dr M called me himself to give me results and would always take time to explain everything going on and answer every one of the many questions I asked. They were patient with me and prompt in their responses. I never felt like a number. Everyone in the office knew me by name and treated me so well. I am forever grateful to Dr Montville and the team at Tennessee Fertility for my experience there.Oh and Jennifer the Embryologist was amazing! She was so helpful and even called me at home at 7:30pm one night bc I had a question and was really concerned about something and she didn’t want me to worry until the morning. She really went above and beyond, put my mind at ease and I appreciate it so much.

So thankful for this place. The environment is always welcoming and you never leave without hope. They do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable and heard. Even through the stress and anxiety they listen and encourage you to keep on.

We wasted a whole year at a different clinic that was cold, we saw our dr only once the whole year & felt like just another # with hopes of being part of their “success rate”. My husband & I had decided that we didn’t want to keep doing this stuff if this is how it was going to be, BUT by the grace of God, We came across TFI webinar on FB. We could attend & get questions answered. After just a quick hour at Dr. Montville’s webinar, all of our questions were answered in a sincere, thorough, & understanding way. My husband & I immediately knew we couldn’t give up yet & we wanted to try TFI. This was our last grasp at hope which has become our success!We CANNOT recommend Dr. Montville enough! Even if we weren’t successful, the experience alone was worth the try! We were greeted at every visit by him with a smile, a hand shake, & lots of info. Everything was explained in “normal” language so we understood every single step of the way!ALL of the nurses are fantastic - I’m biased towards Chelsea, Jenny, & Kelly as they were the ones assigned to me! FANTASTIC support from them every single step of the way!!THANK YOU GUYS!! This would not have been possible without you!

We have been working with Dr. Montville since 2018 and knew from our first meeting that he was the perfect doctor to help us build a family. Fertility treatments can be so overwhelming, but Dr. Montville walked us through the process to ensure we understood. I still have the drawing he did for us to help explain IVF during one of our initial consultations. Throughout my appointments and procedures I felt that the entire staff truly understood the struggles we were facing and were there to support us on our journey. Two and half years later, we are pregnant with our second child via IVF and are so grateful to TFI every day - how do you adequately thank the people that made your dreams of having a family come true? We are proud to recommend Dr. Montville to friends in the area struggling with infertility and hope that their experience is as positive as ours has been.

Dr. Montville and the TFI team have been amazing to my husband and I navigating the IVF process. I have PCOS and only one Fallopian tube. My OB best described their practice as people centered rather than a machine. This is 1000 percent accurate. We came to Dr. Montville from another fertility clinic and felt defeated. Dr. Montville, Jennifer, Chelsea, Kristen, Kelly, and Krystal were amazing at putting us at ease when we reached out with questions about medicine, embryos, or concerns. The egg retrieval team treated me like a princess and the transfer team made us feel like we were joking around with family. I graduated today and my heart is so full and look forward to sharing baby photos with them in June 2023.

We have moved from Los Angeles and want to transfer our embryos to the best clinic in central Tennessee. We needed to start a consultation and a personal meeting with a doctor in order to choose who we should go next with. But when we contacted this clinic, we were unpleasantly surprised. It turns out that we must first fill out a bunch of documents and share delicate personal information with this clinic, ssn, and this is in order for them to deign to communicate on a video call, which we also needed to pay for. They didnt even want to talk about a personal meeting. How to understand that? Is it in such a conservative state? Its outrageous.How can you demand a persons personal data without talking to him in person in the clinics office?We only needed a consultation and maybe an examination before deciding whether we would cooperate with this clinic or not.The questions in the mandatory online questionnaire were approximately as follows: at what age did your mother give birth to her first child? Do you have hair there and there? What did you have in this life? What medicines were taken three years ago when conceiving a child? Did you smoke and when and how many cigarettes? And so on. horror!

Dr. Montville and the entire TFI team are amazing. I was very anxious about the IVF process and they honestly made it an enjoyable experience. The nurses are very responsive and the embryologist went above and beyond with answering all of my questions. We are now expecting our baby in the Spring and I actually look forward to working with this team again when its time to give this little guy a sibling.

Infertility is not for the faint of heart. It is a long and hard road, full of many ups and downs, unknowns, and periods of waiting. I would not have gotten through this journey without the knowledge, care and moral support of Dr. Montville and his entire team at Tennessee Fertility Institute. From the very beginning, up until the day I graduated to my Obstetrician, I knew they had mine and my husbands best interest at heart as we navigate infertility. Our dream to become parents is now a reality thanks to their unwavering support. They truly made me feel like part of a very close knit family, and for that I will forever be grateful.

Dr Montville and his staff have been so kind and helpful through our fertility journey. After years of feeling like just a number we can finally say we found someone that listens to our concerns. I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Everyone is so kind and so sweet. Kristen at the front desk always remembers me by name. Going through fertility treatments is already stressful enough so it really helps when you find a clinic that eases that aspect of it.

We came to Dr. Montville with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. In our initial consult, he asked about our family goals, explained treatment options, and gave us time to consider the approach that would meet our needs. He did not make us repeat testing given that we had records from a prior provider. Throughout our IUI process, he talked us through every detail, spent ample time with me during my scans, and answered all of my questions. Overall, everything felt extremely safe and organized, and our IUI was successful! We are so grateful to Dr. Montville and his wonderful team!

How do you thank someone for making your lifelong dream come true? There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Dr Montville, Brooke and all of the wonderful staff at Tennessee Fertility Institute. My wife and I started our IUI journey in December 2020 and had success in February 2021. We welcomed our baby into the world in October! We are forever grateful for this amazing clinic and their dedication!

TFI is an In-Network provider for my BCBST plan. TFI refused to input my BlueCross Blue Shield Insurance information into my patient account in their system; TFI billed me without using billing codes; and TFI billed me first instead of billing my insurance provider for a covered telehealth visit. TFI billed me $150 for what they describe on a bill as New Patient Low 30-44 minutes - a telehealth call with Dr. Jane Ruman that relayed no novel information to me that was not easily found through a google search.

I called the clinic to make an appointment, Kristen answered and she hung up on me and I called again but instead of giving me the appointment she started arguing with me, very bad customer service, I dont recommend that you go

Dr. Montville and his team exceeded our expectations in every way. Our whole IVF journey with TFI was a joy. Dr. Montville always answered any questions we had and we never felt rushed through and appointment. Even my husband said he explained things in a way he never had heard before and it made so much more sense. He has an excellent bedside manner and we felt safe and cared for every time we were in the office. His team is some of the best nurses I’ve ever worked with. They truly care about their patients and took the time to get to know us. Any time I had questions they would get back to me right away - even calling me back after hours of need be. We are now pregnant with our first miracle and I’m actually sad to be moving on from TFI!

Dr. Montville and his team have been nothing but amazing during our IVF process! His team is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with all of our questions and we never felt like just another number to them! I can’t sing their praises enough!

I was referred to Tennessee fertility institute by the VA. All the interactions I’ve had with Dr.Ruman and staff thus far have been great! Any and all questions I have are always answered honestly and directly or in a timely manner. I love the atmosphere I walk into every time I visit being that I am a very chipper person 90% of the time and everyone including the staff gives off the same energy. I am greatful to be going through this process under the care of Dr.Ruman :) I would definitely recommend Tennessee Fertility Institute to anyone needing reproductive assistance!

There is not enough praise in the world that I could give. I tried for well over 2 years to conceive My second child. I went to an OBGYN for 1 year in another city before coming to Tennessee Fertility in Franklin. It took me only 3 months to finally get pregnant AND They were so informative about how to keep my pregnancy healthy (since I am overweight) and They helped me learn about PCOS which I never knew I had until I went there! I can not thank Dr.Montville enough and at 17 weeks me and my sweet baby (girl) are doing well and excited for when she gets here in February!

Dr monteville takes his time to really treat you like a patient, calling you personally. He and his staff really go the extra mile for their patients. Like any new clinic, it has growing pains, but nothing like other clinics where a patient is just a number. I really appreciate Dr monteville personalizing my treatment plan for me and my husband. I would recommend this clinic to all my friends!

Ive been to one appointment and it was night and day different. I felt heard, more educated and for the first time in months I have options. I would recommend to anyone.

2021- This review is not against the Dr. himself, as I had only actually met with him once during a consult. It is more so based on my experience with the entire operations. Much like the other reviewer said, I had a similar experience. You could never reach anyone by phone, only by the portal. Responses were delayed by days, sometimes weeks, when the time was essential on when to start taking certain meds. After my consult for egg freezing, they immediately prescribed me medication, which I felt so uneasy about, I figured I would get a few more appointments of ultrasounds or whatever checkups needed; they said it was unnecessary since I had brought in blood results from months prior and could start the process immediately. After every conversation via the portal, they tried to give me instructions on injections which again made me feel uneasy doing them without guided instruction at first, then they finally agreed to let me come in the day I was going to start so they could teach me when I was actually not due to come in for a few days after being on the injections (sounds so crazy to me that till this point I would still not have been inside the office until a few days after my first injections). Then when they tried to send my prescription in, it was a continued back and forth issue with the office & insurance. The office did not send in the correct dosage and verbiage as these meds are extremely hard to get approved by insurance unless the language in dosage is correct. It actually ended up delaying my process by another month.Finally, we decided to start on Monday as I would have been returning from a trip; needless to say, I came home after talking with some girlfriends from the west coast, and none of them had experiences like mine. They all hand-holding through this process where mine felt cold and scary. Thankfully the pharmacy was able to hold the meds and not charge me right away; I figured Id come home and think about it; maybe they would call me to check up on me since I was supposed to start meds on that Monday... but NOBODY EVER CALLED, EMAILED OR CHECKED UP to see how I was doing. I felt utterly neglected, as I was only freezing my eggs, and they probably give more attention to IVF patients, but again, this process was very distant, transactional, and not for me. This was a very intimate procedure for me, and the lack of trust and communication was the kicker. I want to know that if Im spending 10-20k on a procedure, a clinic that will essentially be holding my future in their hands, that I could trust them, that they would be empathetic and nurturing my needs as their patient. Unfortunately, the Franklin/ Nashville area is entirely monopolized by these two companies who have similar reviews; I now have to fly cross-country to another clinic I feel better suits my needs and that I can trust to keep my eggs, and essentially the future of my fertility at their hands.

We were ready to give up when Dr Montville entered our lives. We are forever grateful! Seems only fitting to say THANK YOU on Father’s Day!!

Don’t waste your time going to NFC. TFI was a far better experience. A knowledgeable, caring, and supportive staff provide the right amount of personal care and support you need during this extremely delicate time. I have been dealing with fertility issues for nearly 5 years. This was my third doctor. I wish I had gone here first!

I was very nervous going to a fertility Dr. I was worried the Dr. would be very arrogant But Dr. Montville and his staff have made me feel very comfortable and make sure I am well taken care. They even message me and make sure everything is going good! I love this office and recommend this place to anyone wanting to start their fertility journey!

I would give them a better rating if I actually got to speak with a representative. I’ve been calling the office for the past 3 weeks and I keep leaving a voicemail. When I try to contact the office back, it goes straight to voicemail every time. I even tried to reach out through the website and was unsuccessful. As expensive as IVF is, you would think they would have a better system of communication with their patients. Do better!

Love everyone at this practice so much. Have only had good experiences. Infertility is the worst. But these people are willing to walk the most difficult, sometimes painful road with their patients… and their warmth, tenderness, and expertise make all the difference.

We had problems getting through the virtual call and Dr.Montville call us and helped us. He was very thorough, took time to answer our questions, explained everything from small details to making plans. We hope and pray for positive results now that we have found someone that cares.

I wasnt really satisfied with Dr. MONTVILLE. He suggested to go for IUI, put me on OI medicine and went ahead with IUI even though the follicle size on CD11 was 26mm which is bigger than normal recommend size. I was kinda sure its gonna fail... i feel he cld hv suggested to skip the procedure for this cycle but he didnt.My insurance covers 80% cost of treatment but still cost of IUI was about 1000$.

I talked to Dr. Roman and I feel comfortable talking to her and she is very direct to the point on what she found out from our records on what we need to work out from both of us to be able to conceive. And she is also on board on making our plan productive sooner :)

Dr. Montville is a wonderful doctor. Not only an expert in fertility who gets his patients great results but also incredibly kind and considerate.

Hes a good dr. The conversation was awesome and he seemed to care about my needs. Wasnt late on pushing my prescription through, or recommending me for certain procedures. Thank you

The staff here are amazing, they have gone above and beyond during my entire experience here. IVF isnt an easy journey to be on, but they definitely make it a not so scary one.
