Planned Parenthood - Fairbanks Health Center

Been a PPH patient since I was 14. Today I went in for the first time in a while to get an iud removed. This has been my best experience with this procedure as it was my 3rd one. Other times I felt like I was being tortured. This was a quick cough a tug and they used numbing gel on the area first. The doctor also talked me through the entire thing which was super helpful.They take tricare, tricare prime wont pay for services there, but I still found it affordable even though I didnt qualify for a reduction.I will continue to support PPH even if I have to pay out of pocket. It is so important to have this clinic in our community. They have been there for me when I didnt make any money yet, and were instrumental in helping me make take control of my own health and body. Thank you for what you do, Planned Parenthood!

Unsurprisingly, very rugged in their care and knowledge of medicine/attitudes towards people. We live in a limited option town, so even bad care could be better than nonr. If youre a marginalized group watch out and be prepared to advocate for yourself, because, in my experience, they hire people who would rather talk over you and judge you. Not big on prevention technologies...

Amazing staff! They were super friendly, patient, helpful and seemed like they actually listened and cared.As a trans person, I felt like they did an amazing job explaining things to me and educating me, answering what questions I did have, and getting me set up with things to best help me.It was an amazing first ever appointment+ services and I would definitely recommend anyone who may be trans or needing sexual health services or such to definitely go here, the staff are amazing and patient and its super clean here. I already have another appointment set up :)

If you had any fear about your procedure or coming to planned parenthood don’t be afraid! These women are amazing, they took care of me the way my own mother would. Keke is the sweetest person I could’ve asked for, she held my hand the entire time and helped distract me through any pain I was experiencing. Clarissa is also amazing, she does a fantastic job at telling you everything that’s going on and answers every single question you may have. I truly couldn’t be happier with my experience. If you are planning on going it’ll be okay! It’s nothing like people make it up to be.

My GF had delt with them twice and I support freedom of choice but their staff are just ignorant corner cutting ideologists that care more about politics then patients. Never go here if you need real medical care.

They treated me like I was family. They held my hand and spoke affirmations to me the whole time and made my experience so much more than I thought it was going to be. Thank you so much samara and Katie and the other nurses and doctors which names I forgot. Yall are amazing

Lovely Staff. Non-judgemental, sex-positive environment. My first visit I scheduled to receive a Nexplanon implant, which was quick and relatively painless. They even covered the bill in its entirety! 💜 (PS: free condoms. dont be shy. stay safe.)

This is the only medical office I have been to that ha made me feel so safe when talking about what is wrong. They really listen and care. It is 100% a judgment free zone. They always seem happy to answer any and all questions that I have. Truly and amazing staff
