Loved this clinic staff is great nurses are great and kind but sadly here in north carolina i did not recieve same help and benifits and we were struggling so we had to return to seattle

I have to say I absolutely love the whole entire staff at Harvest Free Medical Center. They have been nothing but nice, kind, respectful, supportive, professional, and caring to the needs of their clients .They are truly dedicated. to improving the health of those that enter into their facility.They all make you feel comfortable with them, in putting your health in their hands. I would like to especially thank the front desk staff for being so very kind at checking us in and rescheduling appointments, Also thanks to the caring nurse assistance who takes our vitals before seeing the doctor. Thanks to the pharmaceuticals who worked so diligently at refilling your prescriptions, and taking the time to explain each medication to help us better understand what the doctor already has informed us about. They feel It’s important that we get the full disclosure and description of each medicine. I also want to thank the environmental services department who helps to keep the facility nice and clean. And now last but lease, I would like to truly thank the Doctors of this facility. (H.F.M). I have been coming here for sometime now, and I must say that my health has definitely improved. I would like to give a special thanks to Dr Martin & Laura Smith for helping in the improvement of my health and not mention how they take the time to pray for me. That really tells the a lot about their king and caring character. They really care about their patients. I thank God for them being my doctors. I am forever grateful for the way they tag team in making sure my health is truly recovering. When I first came to them, I felt so awful and i was definitely going through a devastating time in my life. I am grateful for their hard work and dedication in helping me in recovering from the state I was in. As I think back, I am extremely happy from how far God has brought me back by blessing the doctor hands for his glory.. All things work together for the good, especially for those that love the Lord.. It’s a blessing to have God fearing Doctors, such as Dr. Laura & Martin Smith. And not to mention the other Doctors that’s under the umbrella of Harvest free medical. Thanks again for all you guys do.MAY GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE!

Very rude nasty front desk person.We were delayed and arrived for an 8AM appointment at 808. Waited in line to check in and the front desk person Veronica checked us as a no show at 810 saying there is a 10 min grace period as she was looking at us and talking to us. We requested to spoke to the office manager Jessica and she was just as dismissive saying you missed the 10 min grace period and suggested we find a new dentist. We will never come to this location again!

I called and tried to get new appointment for new patients. They told me that they only take new patients on Friday and I would have to call back then which is weird to me. Then when I call back Friday I started calling at 7:59. I didnt get a hold of anybody until 8:30 cuz the line was constantly busy. Then they tell me they only take three new patients every Friday and I was too late. This is a joke. These people need to learn how to run a business, avoid them at all costs

At the time of my visit I was homeless and uninsured. I had severe dental pain and was in need of help. The office was busy and had no room for appointments. I was told if I was willing I could wait for an opening. I was desperate and so I did it. After a while I was seen by a dentist whom addressed my immediate medical concerns. In my opinion the staff and the dentist are angels from heaven. I just wish humanity would treat each other as this facility treats their patients.

The most unprofessional and rude front desk staff ever! They need better front desk personnel after all they make the first impression of your practice! Was given an appt date and time and then when I spoke with the supervisor she said the appt was never put in. Was also told that now I can not schedule an appt with my GYN because I would be an outside referral. This physician I have been his patient for 30 years. So in order for me to see him I would have to have a Harvest Family Hlth primary care doctor there! What BS. Dont go there unless you arent an American then you may be treated better.

Tameisha at the front desk is the most rude and unprofessional receptionist I have ever encountered. I was 5 mins late for my daughters appointment and was told to reschedule. She called me a liar when I told her that I had not been informed when I made the appointment that we had to arrive 30 minutes early. She is not a new patient!? When I said I couldn’t afford to miss work and reschedule she literally laughed at me!! I also heard her lie to the nurse over the phone and tell her I arrived 30 minutes late. Her attitude, demeanor and tone of voice were absolutely disgusting! I was so upset by the way I was treated I have found my children a new pediatrician. The Practitioner, Ms. Pennington and her nurses are wonderful and I am sorry we will be leaving them.

This is regarding the Dental Center located on Hwy 58. These people do not care! They are rude and they select who they are nice to. I drove 30 minutes for my appt. that made made months ago. When I get there the employees were laughing and chatting with an elderly man and I just stood there waiting to be acknowledged. Finally a lady from the back emerged- the others at the front did not even bother to let her know I needed to check in. Then she tells me the only way they can see me is if I pay full price bc I did not bring my paystub! They call and harass me to confirm the appt. but they could not bother to tell me to be sure and bring paystub? She says well we told you LAST YEAR! Who told me last year? WOW. So the only option is to pay full price or reschedule which will be several months out! They did not care at all that I drove 30 minutes and wasted my gas when all they had to do was take the $ I had and let me bring paystub back another time or bill me full price if I didnt. They did not try to resolve the situation at all. They were very dismissive towards me. I will NOT return here to this location ever again. I hope the other locations are more pleasant. I deserve to be treated better with more regard. Staff needs to be aware of there dismissive attitudes and they should represent the facility better. Not pleasant to go to a professional establishment and receive such cold treatment while watching them be warm and inviting to others.UPDATE: They reply contact us so we can make it right but do you see a contact number or name?? No- its only said to make them look good. No resolution offered but they want to reply like they fixed something. It will be 6 more months b4 I can get another appt. Dental hygiene should NOT be this complicated. And I am stuck with places like this bc I do not have insurance. Wow.

Have been going there for a year and find them to be very professional. Dr.Kiger and staff are marvelous. Jessica is one of the finest nurses as is Diane. Their pharmacy is top notch here. Darrell and his staff are great. Recommend this place highly.

The dentist and staff are very friendly and helpful and will answer all your questions. As for the front desk staff, Maria, very rude. I will definitely be finding another place to go. I had an apt which they scheduled, sent me a reminder about it, then get there and she says that my daughter didnt have an apt. No I apologize for the Inconvenience let me see what I can do, nothing just rude and I can make you another one in September... If you dont have to DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!

I cant say enough good things about this doctors office. They are nice, efficient, qualified and professional. The facilities are clean and ALL the staff are very kind. They are faster than other doctors and affordable if you are uninsured. Love this place! Its the best of the three locations!!!

Ms. Brooks is an excellent doctor!!! I wouldnt go anywhere else, even if they offered free service! She is the greatest! And the pharmacy is super awesome!!!! The prices and flexibility is amazing! I am super satisfied with my care at Harvest Family Health in Elm City!!!

Everything was pretty easy. A little wait, but I saw a P.A. that was very helpful and I got the blood tests I needed. Everyone here was very nice and patient. Seems like a good place for the community. I dont have insurance now and it wasnt terribly expensive, just bring proof of income or pay stub. Good place

Arrived for my Covid vaccine at 8:29, appt was for 8:45. I answered the questions and was taken to the back promptly at 8:45. I waited about 8 minutes and was ushered into the treatment room. I had my shot and waited 15 min for any reaction. Left Harvest at 9:20.The facility is efficient, the staff is kind and professional. Would highly recommend the practice to anyone. They also treat pediatric patients.I am so pleased I have made an appt for this practice to become my PCP. Thank you!!!! Tony

They kept jerking us around on our appointments. We had to wait 2 months for our initial appointments and now 2 days before my appt, they rescheduled it for almost 3 months out. I told them I was going to run out of my diabetic meds and they seemed totally unconcerned. We were able to schedule with a real drs office about 2 weeks out

This review is long, but hopefully it helps any other patient who has the same issues. Terrifying experience. Went here as a new patient trying to get help after I had 2 surgeries on my hip from another facility where the issue got worse rather than better. I have had hip issues for more than five years as many people know sometimes I cannot walk very long and am often bedridden. I was looking to find a better doctor but I was dealt with horrifically. The woman asking to check my weight asked me to take off my sandals and when I asked her if I could keep them on because it hurts for me to bend over and normally I sit down to reach my feet, she said no we really need to get your weight you need to take the shoes off now in front of three different staff members as if I was a 5 year old who was misbehaving. I also have veteran mental health issues which I told them about honestly and that I have suffered for years from ONLY because they asked me for my ‘medical history.’ The nurse took me to my room and began asking personal questions and I was very upset because she had embarrassed me when I couldn’t take my shoes off. She also took a piece of paper with words on it and told me to read the words on the paper and I asked why, she said it was to ‘assess whether I was educated enough to be able to understand the doctor when she talked to me.’ I should have left right then. When the doctor came in I answered all her questions about my medical issues. I was then kept waiting in the room until the doctor came in with a woman who she said was a referral specialist but wasn’t. This woman then began asking very personal details about my family and past mental health history. I told her all I wanted to be treated for was the extreme pain in my hip and back. She then brought the doctor back in and the dr said oh we are just trying to help you and make sure you stay safe and need you to tell us all your history and I again said this visit is not about my mental health I’m fine because they kept trying to get me to answer questions that had nothing to do with my hip. She continued trying to get me to talk and I finally got suspicious and asked her if she was trying to hold me there and why. She said they were trying to ‘call someone in’ to talk to me and get me help and that they couldn’t just treat my hip pain without treating my mental health. I pointed out every other doctor I’ve seen had never done this and that I didn’t want to talk about it and that at that time I was not having an issue with my MH that needed to be addressed at that appt. I just needed help with my hip because I could barely walk or bend over. She said it was the practice of her facility that they couldn’t treat one condition without treating another. Which is a flat out lie. She then told me I don’t get to dictate how I am treated and she was not going to give me drugs or narcotics. I told her I never even mentioned medication I simply wanted a referral to an orthopedic specialist. I told her i don’t know who she was trying to get to come talk to me but that I was leaving. I was then escorted out to checkout with security right behind me. I did not even receive a referral from them because he referral specialist didn’t want to have to try and find a specialist who would work with my two insurances. Words cannot express how afraid I was for myself when I was honest about my mental health and almost held against my will for it...

First and foremost, I have never been terminated from any of my past employers and never wouldve thought that I would have because when Im doing something thats truly my passion, I give it 100% of my effort. I was employed under Carolina Family Health Centers, particularly working at the Harvest Family Health Center location in Elm City, NC. This is truly a workplace where personal relationships between coworkers and supervisors/providers takes priority over the individual true compassion and strong work ethic to deliver quality care to each patient. My work experience with them started off wrong meaning from the moment I walked into the clinic on my first day, I was approached in an unpleasant way as a new employee, but I believe in sticking things out because I never give up especially if Im serving a good purpose (positively impacting patients lives and their health). There were always bad vibes, a lot of gossip, and no team dynamics whatsoever. With that being said, my character did not align with the others; therefore, I easily became the target because I didnt fit in with the group that I was working with. While it is common for people to alter their personas to suit different environments, this can become harmful when you feel the need to behave in a manner that is completely at odds with your usual personality.

Staff is unprofessional. Have been “missed” and kept waiting for appointments over an hour on 3 separate occasions. Services are over-priced. Practice has accepted too many patients appointments are 2-3 days out. Tried to get a vaccine and appointment was created for wrong location and time.

Dont go if youre an immigrant. I went for the green card medical. They didnt know the requirements, even though they are listed as approved for those reports on the USCIS homepage. They did eventually prepare the report but then they sent a bill several months later charging me more money.
