Update. I found a prictace that told me what is going on and why I still have pain. Now at least I know I was right and adress it, and I found a provider who does haptic. Dr Cook is NOT an exception like he claims. Susie told me I was just dissatisfied with my experience. How was I supposed to be satisfied? They did nothing they promised. That is GASLIGHTING! I didnt deserve this type of treatment and neither do you. Ask yourself. If Cook allows his staff to lie like Susie did, abuse me along with everything else, and made no effort to stop or correct anything. Is he someone you are comfortable trusting with your health? Its because of the lies and abuse from Susie that I decided to leave a review so people know.From day 1 when I contacted this office, they didnt follow through with a single thing they said. I was told they would do a follow up in 3 months then look at doing an operation in 6. Instead they scheduled a follow up for 7 months. I asked about it 5 times, explained I dont know how to plan things with my local Dr because they changed things withont telling me. I never got a reply but Danielle admitted to ignoring my concerns. I asked Lance why my questions were ignored but got no answer. They ordered an MRI and I was told Dr Cook would look at it and I would get a call with the results. That never happened. Lance said he would talk with Dr Cook and get back in a week about doing an operation he didn’t. I finally sent them an email stating I was feeling uncomfortable with some things and decided not to proceed. They asked if I would tell them what I was uncomfortable with and what they could do to make things better. I told them what happened but got no reply. So they were fully aware they were hurting people but didnt care. My aunt unknown to me contacted them asking what happened. They gave some excuse, unfortunately I believed they were sorry. Susie Byler did apologize and I thought she was sincere. I never had an operation here, and had one with a Dr who treated me 1,000% better. Dr Cook expected me to wait another 6 months in horrible health, on top of the 8 months I had already waited, because 8 months later he FINALLY looked at the MRI and claimed it was ordered wrong.🤦‍♀️ He didnt even have enough respect for his patients to correct his mismanagement or apologize. I sent the MRI to my Dr, he and my colorectal Dr had different opinions on it from Cooks. Later I contacted Susie when I was still having issues and asked a question that had nothing to do with them. Instead of answering, she made it about them and said some things that were unkind. She acted irritated and said I was a waste of time. My mom mentioned to her that I felt they have only pushed me around with what happened. She now denies anything happened. She told mom they cant do my operation because of bowel involvement. That was after I had told her that I had a bowel resection and was not a concern, plus they claimed not to be able to tell because they messed up the MRI. Susie told me if I cant trust them this isnt the office for me. It is their responsibility to show they can be trusted after they broke it, not mine. The lady who gave me the other Drs number told me later she had a less than ideal experience here as well. When she went to this other Dr there was a mistake. When he found out he fixed it and got her through ASAP. He didnt tell her she has to find a way to trust him and wait 6 months. He showed her.I encourage everyone to be careful. 🚩 Look through the reviews, make an informed decision. Theres a surprising amount of negative reviews I wish I had seen prior. The tactics Susie used are tactics people use when they are wrong and want to hurt you.My 1 surgeon told me I am remarkable, thoughtful, and very tough. That is so different than telling someone they are a waste of time and dissatisfied. They are the most abusive, negligent, dishonest people I have ever met in the medical field. they are extremely controlling and dont take patients concerns, needs, or wishes into consideration. Its about the money.

I recieved help at Dr. Cooks office- and decades of pain and brain fog have lifted! Dr. Cook and all his staff were amazing. The pain after surgery was a breeze, and my incisions healed so quickly. Dont settle for less- this is the best. Thank you Dr. Cook, Lance, Susie, Danielle, and Melissa!

Dr. Cook and his staff are absolutely amazing people!! I was at the end of my rope ready to give into lifelong pain, discomfort and quality of life, until I found Dr. Cook. Every single doctor I have ever seen has bypassed my pain (if you can’t see it don’t treat it, is how it felt), left untreated because they couldn’t see anything wrong or believe I was in pain. When I met Dr. Cook he listened to everything I had to say and genuinely took care of my emotional and physical needs, he told I wasn’t crazy and the pain existed. He did the surgery and he was right, there was a lot happening on the inside of me that needed to be removed and addressed. Dr. Cook is an amazing person, someone who takes real individual care for his patients. I’m so happy I found someone to listen to me and help me through my struggles. 2 years and 4 months after my surgery with Dr Cook. i don’t suffer from that severe pain i use to suffer every month anymore.i am grateful everyday waking up feeling the miracle of healing that happened to my body.He is the only doctor i would recommend you do your endo surgery. I don’t know much of his skills when i meet him. But i prayed a lot to God for healing and He lead me to find Dr Andrew Cook. i paid for surgery but its worth every penny. Canadian health care for endometriosis and adenomyosis is atrocious. I struggled for years . Got dismissed by more doctors than I can count. Ive tried all the treatments , I’ve done the trips to Toronto to see specialists. Finally decided I can’t live like this anymore and went to Colorado to see Dr. Andrew Cook . What I can say is that it was life changing and it was worth every dollar. I’ve been medication and pain free for over a year now. He is an incredible doctor, he listens, he is very knowledgeable, he was amazing at explaining to my husband what I’ve been going through and he is an excellent surgeon. I’d also like to add that his staff was amazing. He has a great team! The hospital staff was also incredible. If you want to change your life choose Dr. Cook he will change your life! ❤️

I cant say enough about Dr. Cook and Vital Health. I am here because he actually listened to me and did not treat me like I was crazy or dumb down my pain. I went unheard and undiagnosed for almost 6 years until I met with Dr. Cook. He saved my life in so many ways. His office staff was awesome and easy to work with and helped me jump through the hoops needed to make my surgery happen. Having Endometriosis for me means needing a REAL specialist and having to go out of network, but they helped me through the entire process and made it effortless. If you are suffering and need help Dr. Cook and Vital Health are the way to go.

Dr. Cook is my HERO! He is amazing and exactly what I needed. I had endometriosis for 12 years and was in stage 4 Endometriosis. My life has improved immensely since excision surgery, all thanks to Dr. Cook. Him and his staff were with me every step of the way to surgery and continued to check on me after surgery. Its no understatement to say that Dr. Cook changed my life. I was in debilitating pain every day prior to my surgery, but surgery was a huge step toward getting my life back. He understood and validated my pain, and continued to support me post surgery. Totally worth every penny spent.

Ive never met a doctor so compassionate, and Im married to one! lol. I traveled across the country to see Dr. Cook and Im so glad that I did. He is experienced, knowledgeable and extremely patient centered. I had surgery with Dr. Cook less than two weeks ago and Im already feeling fantastic. He rocks!!!

I had surgery with Dr Cook two years ago. I have been waiting to write my review so that I could give the long term results! I am so grateful to say that I have been completely endo and symptom free since my surgery with Dr. Cook! Endo was destroying my life. It took years to figure out why I was in severe pain 24/7. I had a pretty severe case. I previously had not made it more than 6 months without needing another surgery. Even after prior surgeries I did not feel pain free ever. I would feel very short term relief. My advice is to do EVERYTHING in your power to get to Dr.Cook! While it was not easy for me to come up with the money or resources to fly to California I did EVERYTHING I could think of to get there and refused to give up. My only regret was not finding Dr. Cook sooner! I have a life now! I am not in pain now. I do not have to go to the Dr constantly now. I actually have saved thousands of dollars in future medical bills because I no longer have endo! Dr. Cook is incredibly patient and empathetic. He sits down to have open, and down to earth conversations about the complexity of endometriosis and every individual experience. As time is spent with him, he clearly shows that he truly cares. I truly cant say enough good about Dr. Cook & his staff! Hes an extremely competent, caring & genuinely great doctor. I chose him because of his amazing credentials & knowledge in the field of endometriosis. The fact that hes kind & patient was just the cherry on top! The care I received from him & his staff was A+ from beginning to end.

Dr. Cook and his team saved my life. I couldnt work or live a normal life by any means and was ready to give up. After being sent from specialist to specialist that never took me seriously I left my own country to seek dr. Cooks expertise and knowledge. Dr. Cook helped me, performed surgery when other doctors would only prescribe pills, and removed my Endo. And his admin/nurse team always responds same day. The great care continues after surgery too.

I endured relentless, 24/7 pelvic pain for 5 years, which severely affected my quality of life. With light periods and moderate cramps, countless medical professionals ruled out endometriosis because my symptoms werent classic. In 2017, Dr. Cook performed a laparoscopic surgery where he found stage 4 endometriosis and severe adhesions. Afterwards, I felt ~85% better. Dr. Cook performed a smaller second surgery in 2018, and Im now good as new with zero pain. It was by far the most emotional and trying experience of my life, and I am forever grateful for Dr. Cook and his practice. They are a dedicated, smart and compassionate group of people.

Im suprised that anyone has been able to afford getting surgery here seeing that its out of network on all insurances and they require 12,000 up front to schedule the surgery. Everything is out of pocket including the initial $600 up front for the consultation. Waste of time in my opinion. The whole initial consultation was all waiting for hours then it was a rushed 5 minute ultrasound and we talked more with his physician assistant than Dr. Cook. It was a let down because I traveled 3 hours to see him and thought Id be getting more time with him and not feel so rushed. It seems like the physician assistant was the one who read the packet of medical history paperwork and Dr. Cook just skims through it briefly. To be told that there is hope and that they can help your pain then have Michelle the insurance coordinator come in with a fake smile and ask for $12,000 up front is ridiculous and ulrealistic for the majority of people. Not only did she not help at all in the whole process of getting my insurance to cover some of the costs we had to repeatedly ask for other options before she told us information that would help us with getting our cigna insurance to cover some of the cost. She was very condescending and even told us at my consultation good luck in getting our insurance to cover some of the cost shes never seen our insurance cover anything. To make things worse when I finally got my insurance to do a peer to peer review with Dr. Cook a week and a half later later I get a call from Michelle saying Dr. Cook refused (yes she said refused) to do the peer review because one of the billong codes was a generic code and he knew the insurance wouldnt cover it. Every code I was given was given by michelle in a packet she gave me at my consultation. She then accused me of messing up the codes. I had nothing to do with the codes that were given to me. When I asked what code the generic code was for she had no answers and continued to blame me for her mistakes. I wanted to believe that Dr. Cook was genuinely interested in helping women like me who have gone through so much pain and needed help but I only think they want to help those who have the 12,000 up front. Ive been waiting months and months to get help for my excruciating pain only to be treated badly and left with no hope and at square one again with horrible pain and no where to turn to for help. To be treated this way and now out hundreds of dollars out of pocket and still in excruciating pain feels horrible. At this point Im left with zero options as only an endometriosis specialist is qualified to treat my stage 4 endometriosis and with only a handful of qualified endometriosis surgeons out there there is no second option for me.Update: I was contacted by someone named baily on here with an apology on how my experience was. Then 3 weeks later I get a very strange call from Michelle the financial coordinator. She called me at my home to ask me specifically about my review on here. I felt very uncomfortable talking to her about this and wondered why Dr. Cook or maybe another manager didnt bother to call me to inquire. She then started to attack me and argue with me about my honest review. She bluntly told me to change my review on here because the office prides themselves on good reviews. After I told her I would not be changing my review she made things very awkward on the phone with a very long pause. She accused me of lying about saying in my review that there were no payment plans. This is very strange because not only did me and my husband directly ask her about payment plans she up front told us no. She then stated that there are indeed payment plans and all we had to do wask ask. When I told her we did ask and she said no ahe denied it. Then changed her story saying that she usually doesnt mention the payment plans to the patients because it makes them feel uncomfortable. This made absolutely no sense to me. To make matters stranger this week their clinic followed me on instagram twice then blocked me ( even though I did not try to contact them on there

Make sure you do your research on Dr. Cook, he is bad news. He charges a $20,000 dollar just for his services this doesnt include any medical care just an extra fee. He has made a lot of women worse off with infections and ostomies( If you dont believe me look at the reviews on the endometriosis face book groups or on vitals). If your looking for effective treatment join Nancys Nook on face book there is a list of surgeons that yield real results with out the extra fees. Dont be fooled there is effective fair medical treatment out there. You deserve to be pain free without being ripped off. I started my journey dealing with constant endometriosis pain by reading his book thinking he was going to be the only one able to help me this was so false. The best thing you can do for yourself Is become an expert on your own disease and read hundreds of reviews! There is proper treatment out there I just dont think its with doctor Cook.

Most comprehensive care I have ever received. I expressed my expectation that my care journey with Dr. Cook be a partnership with complete transparency, and it was.

Dr.Cook is my forever hero! I would give him 10 stars if that was an option. I am 6 months post op from Wide Excision Surgery with Dr.Cook & his amazing Team. He removed Endo from 5 of my Organs. I had Endo on my bladder, bowel, cervix, uterus and both ovaries. I am currently feeling better than I have in over 6 years. I actually just had my period and I can honestly say I have Never had a period like this in my life. Dr.Cook has truly changed my quality of life for the better in so many ways. Dr.Cook & his Team care more about their patients than any Specialist or Doctor I have ever met. These surgeries are not cheap but I promise you I do not regret any money I have spent with Dr.Cook because he has helped me more than I could have imagined. I feel beyond blessed and grateful I found him and his team. I am 35 years old and had been struggling to find answers to my chronic pain & awful periods for several years. I had my 1st laparoscopic surgery 3 years ago with my local GYN from Scripps Health who said she worked with many woman struggling with Endo. Little did I know she was far from qualified to treat woman struggling with Endo. After my surgery with her she told me I did not have Endometriosis and yet I was in debilitating pain. I was in tears after that surgery because I knew the road ahead was going to be a dark one until I found a Doctor who would listen to me. I left her office right after that surgery because I knew she was not listening to me just like all the doctors that dismissed my symptoms and chronic pain. I cannot express enough how important it is to find an Endometriosis Specialist that truly listens to you as the patient. I had given up on finding help because I was so miserable but than I started doing tons of research in hope that there was a Doctor out there that would listen to my pain. I had endless trips to the ER due to my pain and I was dismissed by everyone Nurses, Doctors & specialists. Those experiences in addition to my misdiagnosis from my 1st doctor led to Medical Trauma plus many family & friends questioning my pain. I had read a few reviews from some of Dr.Cooks previous patients and they described him as their hero. After I read that I decided to call his office to get the free consultation. After my conversation with Dr.Cook I knew he was the Specialist for me. Dr.Cook listened to me more than any Doctor had listened to me and validated everything I was feeling. He literally gave me a glimpse of hope after our first conversation and I knew I needed to figure out how I could afford to work with him. I could tell he genuinely cared about the well being of woman struggling with this awful disease and was dedicated to helping them. I was fortunate enough to become one of his patients. I had never met him in person and yet I signed on the dotted line for my surgery in Durango Colorado. Many of my family & friends were questioning me decision especially after my misdiagnosis from the other doctor. I am so proud of myself for finally not caring what other people thought about my decision because I knew they would all be swallowing their words after my surgery with Dr.Cook. I truly believed he was going to help me and that is exactly what he did and continues to do. Dr.Cook and his Team checked in on me after my surgery more than I could have imagined. Dr Cook took care of me back in 1997 when he was still operating in New Orleans. I havent had a problem with endo since, need I say more?
